I have to say Van Allen plumbing is great! I called and spoke with a nice gentleman, he was able to give me a time frame that they would be able to stop by and it was the same day I called.
When they stoped by they looked at the problem that I had and gave me quote that was fairly priced, I defiantly expected it to be more!
The two gentlemen who came out were very polite and knowledgeable. They also let me know what caused the problem so I can try to prevent this problem in the future.
I would highly suggest them to friends and family!

Sean Lynch comes highly recommended on the Next Door app which is how I found him for my house in South Reno. It's super hard to find anyone reliable and who shows up never mind competitive . Sean is both and he did a great job doing all my Windows's inside and out and tracks and he screens. He showed up on time and was very thorough. Will be the guy from now on.

John of Bertani can out to our home on a Saturday afternoon to provide us with expert advice on what should be done to correct an isssue with a shower stall that was leaking.  He was very clear as to how the problem would be correct and shared many tips as to how it could be done in an economical way and still maintaining a high level of quality. Sam was AMAZING!! 2 other plumbers told me my sewer line was a lost cause, and even collapsed. Sam got in there and spent time and considerable skill and got me working again. He gave me all sorts of great advice on how to maintain things. He is my guy!! I would recommend him to anyone.

Craig was super responsive over email and did a fantastic job switching out our older water-guzzling toilets with low-flow versions.  He took care of the entire TTPUD toilet exchange program, bringing our old toilets to Western Nevada Supply and procuring the new ones.  Highly recommend his services.

Several people recommeded GPI plumbing to me. They have a very good reputation around town. So I thought i'd give them a shot. I called in and explained the problem. After getting into contact with their office I got a call back from one of their plumbers named Chris. Chris did not listen well when I explained the problem (a leaky union in my water box near the pressure regulator) and insisted on taking a look before making an estimate (a $100 charge). He also refused to narrow down the price any more than between a few hundred and several thousand dollars (mind you, this is a leaky pipe!). His attitude during the phone call was that I was a nuisance and a bother, which is surprising to me as someone who works in a service industry. Generally, you want to be nice to someone who hasn't made a decision. It sounded like he, and the rest of GPI plumbing were too busy tofix my leaky pipe. In the end I did not invite Chris over to work on my leaky pipe, which is why I've given them three stars. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that maybe it was a bad day for Chris, or maybe my experience was out of the ordinary. Regardless, I would choose them if I didn't now know of a better plumber. There must be some reason why there business is doing well...

Had a Christmas Day plumbing emergency.  The technician came out within a half hour & diagnosed & fixed the problem quickly for a very reasonable price.

I booked an appointment this morning for someone to replace  my  kitchen faucet..With in minutes I got a text from Phil. He said he could be at my house by 8:00 am.. He and Nick showed up on time, following CDC protocol wearing masks.   The service was excellent, and professional.  I would highly recommend River City Plumbing, and will definitely consider

What a nightmare this place is. I'd give it zero stars if I could. This company was assigned by my home warranty company on 12/6. Here it is a month later and no progress. They came and assessed the issue 12/13. The plumber said he would submit the paperwork to my home warranty company as I needed a replacement on my water heater and they would call me to schedule the service. I didn't hear anything after a week, so I called. The lady told me oh he didn't submit it to your home warranty company until this Tuesday. I asked why it took him 3 business days to get this submitted. She said she would call me back. She calls back and said oh he did submit it Thursday actually. Waiting on approval (called warranty company this was a lie). But whatever I just need it replaced, so waited for approval. Received approval a few days later, but was on vacation, but still expected a call from the plumber to schedule. No call. I called upon my return from vacation on 12/28 (this had been approved for over a week with no follow up). The young lady that answered said she could get me on Friday betweeen 2-4 and it would take up to 4 hours. I thought that would be odd to start so late, so confirmed. She agreed. I skipped skiing Friday to be there. Well they never showed up! Called them around 3:45 and got an answering service. Nobody ever called me back. I called Monday morning. Told the lady everything that is mentioned above and she said oh we are still waiting for approval. I almost lost it. No you aren't! I have had the approval for almost two weeks! And I was scheduled. No apologies nothing. She said she would look into it and call me back. I specifically asked can I expect your call today because your company's follow through has been awful. She confirmed it would be today. Obviously she didn't call back. I will be finding another business. I wouldn't even trust the work they provide at this point.

Awful customer service. Had them out to do a simple shower head adjustable bar, the guy they sent was inexperienced and he told me he would go back to the office, find out how to do it and get back with me. Three weeks later never heard back, I left numerous messages with ZERO response. I realize they are busy with all the new construction in Reno but have the decency to return a call.

Terrible, TERRIBLE plumber.  This guy installed 3 units in my home, 2 furnaces and one water heater, ALL 3 had to be relocated due to him not following either code or plans.  He uses subordinate, unlicensed help to install and then doesn't correct the problems they create.  
OVER charges!!!  He moved a shower valve 6 inches over and a washer dryer water lines over 18 inches and charged $3,200!  -- by the way the walls were completely opened up with no obstructions.  He did this without a change order then submitted a bill.  When confronted on the excess charges he would NOT return a phone call.  
Hire a kid in high school, you will be better served. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY and TIME here.
