Best Plumbing Services in Fort Wayne, IN
A while back I called A&A Mechanical to service my Generac generator. I called Generac directly as the home I bought this year came with a large generator. I have never had a generator before and didn't know what needed to be done on it. They gave me a list of companies that service their generators near my home, and A&A was a company within my town. I called and scheduled an appointment with them in a few days. What was great was that I found out from them, that they used to service the generator for the old owner of my house.
They came, performed service on the generator and set it up so I get it serviced once a year. Technician was friendly and explained to me how my generator worked, how it would test the system every week, pretty much gave me a lot of useful info. I am very glad I did get it service because two weeks later, my area lost power for an entire day. Seems some squirrel(s) messed around a nearby electrical substation. Immediately my generator kicked in... and it's an amazing generator powered my entire home! I so could have used this when I lived in Miami during hurricane season! If I didn't get it serviced, I would have been without power and I would have lost a stand alone freezer and a refrigerators worth of food... so I saved a lot of money!
If you have a generator, get regular service.... and get it from A&A!
Seems also per the website they also do work in plumbing, heating and A/C... so something to keep in mind too.

I called at 7 am, he said he could be here around 10, but couldn't promise it would be at 10. He backed into my driveway at 959. Came in got job done, left things as they were when he came. Super nice! Not a ridiculous price. I will call again!

This company is awful and the owner Maury is a rude, nasty man. The knowingly SEVERED our line while doing some work for our neighbor and when we called them, not aware yet, they had notes of this and still charged us for a scope then after many questions admitted that they cut our line, asked us to pay for the work as Maury doesn't want to eat the price. We said hell no and when asked for a refund for the scoping since this wasn't our fault, he lied and threatened to charge us for the neighbors work and said we caused some of it. It was a break in a 90+ year old pipe which is at fault of no one. Said it's a small price we have to pay, never once did Maury apologize for the mistake, call us, explain anything or come to our door. We also are told that he had to have permission to cut a line and a permit. which he would not have gotten as our line would have been deemed in use. He was going to make us sit with human waste in our basement where my kids have rooms, for a week and turned his phone off when we called to see that we get moved up as NONE of this was our fault and we were left in the dark. His manger got us on the schedule a day earlier which is the only reason I'd give less than half a star if this website didn't make me. We have yet to hear from maury or anyone at the company with an apology or even one word. Never ever ever use this crooked man for your services!

Top notch service and professional work done in a timely manner.. Truly deserve the reputation they have built one satisfied customer at a time. Some of the hardest workers I have met.

Guys will get out to your home and get your drain unclogged quick. They will also do some electrical work. Fun to watch these guys sweat and get a little work done around the house. Grandma calls Korte, sure she's on a fixed income, but she loves spending it having Korte come and save the day on her old home. These jokers will drive on out to Waynedale and save the day. They turned a few bolts and got the shower in real quick.
They get all kinds of stuff done.

My service request was a kitchen faucet be installed (I already bought faucet), leaking outdoor spigot be repaired, a bath fan be installed (already bought fan to replace a smaller version), and 2 outside lights checked to see why they weren't working. Scheduler was friendly, promptly got text confirmations of service date. Scheduler said although some personnel do both plumbing & electrical, they would send two separate people.
They arrived on time, were polite. The house was already empty as it was getting ready to be listed for sale, so there was nothing hindering their work. Plumber was good & kept me informed as to what issues he was running into, requiring a return visit the next day. He showed me what caused the original leak in spigot. I actually didn't have an issue with the plumbing project, and the cost was $300, which was about what I expected.
HOWEVER, the electrician was busy going up and down stairs to attic, didn't say a word about what he was doing. Two additional electricians arrived midway, and didn't really explain why they were there -- I thought the first one needed help with something. One of them asked me if I had a replacement fixture for outside, and I said no, but there was no further conversation. They cleaned up very well after themselves but never showed me what they had done, nor said anything, other than the office would send me a bill.
I almost fainted when I got a bill for $745 , in ADDITION to the plumber's bill for $300! They had run a new vent system in my attic, cut a new hole in the side of the house for it (which I didn't see until I opened attic days later), and replaced both outside lights without telling me they were doing so or giving me any option of what type they were installing. I would never have spent $70 just for a single light fixture for a house I am getting ready to sell!
I was very upset that I had no input or knowledge of what they decided to do, and when I called Borchelt to express my concerns, the person I spoke to said he was one of the electricians working there, and that their work order did not say to give an estimate, just to do the work. He said he couldn't do anything about the bill, just know for future reference (as if I would ever do business with them again!) that you have to specifically ask for an estimate. Why would the plumber tell me what he was doing and what options there were, yet the electrician(s) just decide to do everything without telling me?
So... all in all, $1,045 to install a faucet that I provided, replace a spigot, install a bath fan that I provided, and install two lights that I wouldn't have replaced had I known cost. And the icing on the cake was, they accidentally shut the gas off to my water heater, requiring a return visit this week to relight the pilot light (which they generously said would be at no additional cost).
Exceedingly disappointed in this outrageous bill and absolute lack of communication by their service providers. I see another review also citing the lack of communication, which I wish I would have seen before calling them. Never, ever would I recommend them!

I called these people at 11am was told someone would be here between 3 and 5 pm..so I have been at home all day...I called at 5:20pm and asked if someone was on their way and was told yes..it's now after 7pm and no one has showed or called.. not off to a good start....they finally showed up at 7:45pm... assessed the problem and told me what parts to buy..I set up an appointment for the following day to do the repairs.. again they were super late but at least this time they called to let me know they were running behind. The repair person didn't show up until after 7pm but he was friendly and he did a good job. I would not hire this company for an emergency situation but they would be ok for standard work. They were affordable and gave me a decent price
Two stars given because I basically wasted 2 days waiting on them to show up.and time is very important to me.
