Family owned and operated since 1971. Ray and Ed Herman started Alton Combustion Inc. in March of 1971 in a two car garage on a farm north of Ossian, IN. They worked out of the garage for 9 months as they developed and grew the new business. Growth eventually required that they move the business into a larger, 2,400 sq ft facility in Fort Wayne Indiana. In January of 1988 they moved the company again to the present day location in Fort Wayne which includes a 12,000 sq ft of shop facility with a 6,400 sq ft storage building. The company has remained a family owned & operated business, taking pride in workmanship & customer satisfaction. Alton Combustion is a family owned business. It began in 1971 with Terry & Tony Herman's father Ray Herman. Terry & Tony began working at Alton while still in high school and have gained a great deal of knowledge from their father and many years of experience. They are passing their knowledge on to their sons who also work for Alton.
