I ran into a wonderful employee of McKendree's, Shone,  this morning at a local hardware store.  He was so helpful! He helped me find a few pieces for my DIY project.  If they are this helpful with non-customers, I bet they are even better with their clients! The next time I need a professional, I will be calling McKendree's!

Joseph, technician number 620, did a great job fixing a leak under our kitchen sink. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue. Even though it was Christmas Eve and we had a busy schedule they were able to fit the service into a time that was convenient for us. Would highly recommend Joseph and Roto-Rooter for your plumbing needs!

We have a Miele Futura diamond dishwasher.
Because we moved from Orlando to Jacksonville the Miele company concierge service will not install it again, so we choose this company to haul the old unit and install ours

I  called the plumber on the weekend, since it says they have 24/7 service. The tech who called me back said that he was the only one on duty and my clogged kitchen sink was not an emergency. He offered to call me on Monday morning to schedule service. I agreed and guess what....he never called nor anyone from the company. I guess they really didn't want my business so, I call one of their competitors and got excellent service. The only plus in this experience was the timeliness in which the tech called back after being notified by the call service.

I chose Action Handy Man because of the reviews and the location. There are usually not issues in the reviews. I had a couple. However, how they were handled is what I want to share.
The first question was, is this an emergency?
It wasn't. I needed to install a w/d where there had never been one.
I scheduled a two hour window for the walk through/ estimate. At 1 1/2 hours I called to confirm. There had been a mix up. But they dropped what they were doing, and were there in minutes.
But there were unforeseen issues which caused the entire plan to change. Mark just went with flow. With my permission he stayed till 9:00pm one night, and 11:00pm another to complete it.
Then the dryer didn't work. All parts were checked and were working. I called and asked him to please rack his brain and see if we missed anything. He did. It was an issue in the breaker box. He came back and fixed it. No extra charge.
And I am thrilled to have my w/d working.
It was so worth it. Mark was very knowledgeable and helpful. I definitely recommend him.

I have used them before and would use them again. I have a beef with the price I was charged to install two toilets. Over the phone we had estimated a price based on two technicians with the caveat that the cost could go higher with parts if needed. One technician came and as expected there were some parts needing replacement. However the final bill was over twice what was estimated and I do realize estimating is a challenge. And with only one tech it took longer. So beware of phone estimates. Quality of work was good. But I did feel bamboozeld over the price.

I have used this service for 25 years.  The are a dependable, and more important, trustworthy service.

Refreshing to deal with an honest person. After moving into this house 2 weeks ago I have been subjected to my fair share of issues. The previous plumbing company knocked my head off with an exorbitant invoice. Keith was a stand up guy, got the job done at a reasonable price. He also acknowledged my Military Service and offered a discount. In the Rolodex this goes in the event  of future experiences.

We called out David Gray Plumbing to fix a leaking water pipe in our yard.

For context, the pipe had already been fixed, but not properly, and was seeping water at the seam of the fix. The pipe was easy to access as we had fortunately left it exposed to check the repair.

This was a quick and easy job for a plumber, and would cost them next to nothing in supplies and maybe half an hour of labor.

They did come out the next day, which was good. Diagnostics took about a minute because we had told them on the phone what and where the problem was and the pipe was already exposed.

But then they told us they would charge us $311 to fix the leak. We refused their service, astonished at such an extortionate price, although we still had to pay the $49 call out fee of course.

Not sure if this firm overcharges on all jobs or just the small jobs. Maybe they thought we would pay no matter what because we wouldn't want to waste the call out fee. Sorry, but we weren't impressed, and we won't call this company again.
