Description

⭐️ Operational since 1969 ⭐️ Family-owned and operated Plumbing & HVAC in Jacksonville, FL ⭐️ Available 24/7

HISTORY

Established in 1969.
It all began at home with Bill Fenwick Sr. and his wife, Beverly, answering the company telephone while raising their three sons, Billy, George, and Mike. In 1970, Bill decided it was time to move their small business out of their home and into a plumbing shop with a warehouse. As the company continued to grow, it did not take long for them to outgrow this location. In 1977, they moved their office to Beach Blvd. where they spent over 36 years growing the business. In 2000, Bill Sr. sold the company to his son, Billy, who is still the President of the company today. George became a certified master in tile setting and took over the Remodeling Department. Mike started running a truck of his own and became a state certified plumbing technician. Billy's son, Trey, joined the family business in 2013 and is now the General Manager. In November 2013, they outgrew the Beach Blvd. location as well, and moved to their current location on Columbia Park Drive.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Bill started working for the family business at only 14 years old. He purchased the company from his father in 1999, and after only 15 years as the business owner, managed to triple the size of the company and is now running a fleet of 25 trucks. Even though the business has grown tremendously, Bill's commitment to a family atmosphere and providing our customers with "Golden Plunger Service" has never faltered. Keeping the tradition of "Golden Plunger Service" is always at the forefront of all we do.

Ben Smith, Christopher Anderson, and Darryl Lucas provided top-notch service at my house. Everyone involved was respectful, hard-working, professional, and thorough. I cannot say enough about the quality of work and professionalism displayed by Fenwick plumbing. The work was completed so quickly in order to accommodate my convenience. I had my entire house re-piped and they were able to complete the plumbing portion within two days. It was also a very difficult job. I never heard one obscene word and the crew remained extremely professional and courteous the entire time. I am very impressed and could not be more thankful!

I had Fenwick come over to check out what I already knew was a dead water heater that needed replacement. Craig, the technician, was fast, courteous and professional. However, I was up-charged $75 over the agreed $89 diagnostic visit and he was in the house less than 15 minutes. After protesting the hidden fee - clearly company policy so I didn't blame the technician - I was told that the entire amount would be deducted from the price if I installed a new water heater with Fenwick. Fair enough. But when I called to book the installation the manager, Travis, refused to give me the $75 off. On top of that he was rude and extremely condescending. I was furious at the bait and switch and told him if he didn't take off the fee as was promised to me I would drop the order. He didn't budge, even though they were essentially charging $1000+ for the very basic and quick (well less than an hour) service of replacing a water heater. One would think that at the extremely high prices they charge Fenwick would treat their customers with a modicum of respect.

very disappointed.  I called because I was having a problem with my master shower not having pressure and the hot water not working properly.  They arrived right at 8:30 and after being there all day, discovered it at 4:45, the technician discovered that the problem was a $5.00 diverter valve located within the shower head area, I have two shower heads.   I had already cut the dry way away from the shower valve thinking that was the problem.

It cost me $1200 for them to discover a $5.00 diverter valve was clogged.  The technician said he did not know that the shower head had a diverter valve even though there were two heads.

Needless to say, the total cost was out of line for the problem.

I am so impressed with the plumber that Fenwick sent and his company! Last night our water heater started leaking. I called two companies and Fenwick were already here by the time the other even returned our call. The guy who came did great and was super helpful but we needed to have the heater replaced so that had to be done the next morning. The plumber assigned to us for the next day was Tim Allala and he was fantastic!! He was supposed to come 10-2pm, he made it here at 8.30am. Did an absolutely thorough job including cleaning all the rust that had leaked in our garage. Explained a ton of things which I would have never known about water heaters. And, to top it off, turned up the temperature on our heater to 135F (at my request, it was apparently 120F and we had no idea) so now I really get to enjoy scorching hot showers! And he showed me how to change that temperature setting if I ever decided I don't want to shower on the border with Hell. The company sent us a link with a GPS of his truck so we could follow how close he was on his way there. They texted us his photo and a full professional biography so we can recognize him. And they've been all over impressive in literally every aspect. Great job!

Fenwick's service team is excellent.  Their website is easy to use to schedule service and when you do have to call, everyone is pleasant and knowledgeable.  The work crews have all been very polite and considerate and genuinely want to get your services done right, rapidly, and to your satisfaction.   My A/C unit finally became more expensive to keep repairing than to replace.  I was scheduled very quickly...we all know FL without A/C in August is awful.  The guys couldn't have been more prompt or diligent in getting everything removed and then installed.  Excellent experience all around.

Unfortunately we needed an emergency plumber. At first I felt completely lost and didn't know who to call so I just started calling the top 10 plumbers on yelp, of which Fenwick happens to be one. The receptionist was extremely helpful and set up an appt for 10-2pm time frame. Our plumbers arrived at 12:30pm which I was very happy with. We had Robert and Chris, they were fantastic! They were knowledgeable and very kind. They showed us how to fix the issue if it ever were to happen again! They were very thorough and respectful of our home. Thanks Robert and Chris, we appreciate you and all your help.

Something as standard a customer supplied faucet installation should have the price disclosed at a flat rate. Coming here and quoting me close to $800 to install a kitchen faucet is absurd and then charging me a $120 fee for the call is just bad business and not ethical. Fenwick does my AC and Heater work and that is all I am limiting them to moving forward .

The plumber who visited was extremely nice and polite, I wish I could justify having him install the faucet but at that rate I could take the $120 hit and hire another plumber and still save significantly.

Call and get a quote range before, don't get sucked into the convenience of their online appointment booking .

I called them Saturday morning about 830am.  I was given an appointment between 10-2pm.  Adam the tech arrived around 11.  He  conducted thorough tests of my HVAC system and completed work to my complete satisfaction by 1230 pm. My AC was pumping hot air, but not anymore.  They're on my speed dial now. Timing, customer service, informing me during the process, clean (shoe covers), advice/recommendations, and cost - highly recommended.

Charged $500 to replace a capacitor on my a/c. Industry  standard between 250 -350. No other issues. Just happened today 3/23/23. My husband was home and a little panicky about no ac with temps getting in 80's today. Only a 2 ton unit. Small house. Eon't call back.

I wanted an overall view inspection of my entire home. They really didn't do much. didn't run the water to check anything, didn't get into the crawlspace to inspect the pipes. I have three bathrooms and I've discovered since the inspection that I have multiple issues that need attention and what he suggested wasn't even the source of the problem. So basically payed $100 for nothing.

First off why would anyone pay $115 to have someone come out and provide a quote? We've tried three others and not one of them has charged to come out and give a quote. That's part of the process when it comes to gaining jobs as a business. That made me curious. So I got on Yelp to read about other peoples experiences. The business manager answering the Yelp reviews seems to have the customer service skills of a toddler. After reading for a while I don't trust this company at all. I work in construction and it's not hard to see the red flags with this company.

Called late last night with a cooling issue and they were able to get me in for an appointment this morning, which was appreciated.  They communicated when the tech was enroute, which is very welcome when you're balancing 5 other things at home.  Mike Rogers came out, quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue.  The price was right, the service fast and I will definitely be coming to them first for any HVAC or plumbing needs!

As an aside, if I was grading them on their evening calltaker, which I'm going to assume is a third party, but perhaps not... 2 stars.  The guy was very passive aggressive and unpleasant.  One of several examples was after reciting his lengthy covid question I responded, no covid.  He snarkily informed me that, its a yes or no question.  That's exactly the kind of crap no one needs to hear when its hot at 2200 hours and you're trying to give a company money.

But where it counts, service and price, they did great.

I began using Fenwick back about 2012 and was VERY satisfied. The last time I used them, probably about 2 years ago, I was so very dissatisfied and I vowed never to use them again. I found out they were sold to a corp. so I decided that was probably the probelm. I now need a plumber and really wanted to go back to them because of such good past experiences. After reading the most recent reviews, I guesss I have to look elsewhere. So very sad.

I'm recommending this company in St.Augustine,  based solely on on employee. Michael Underwood. Knows his stuff! Highly recommend

I've used fenwick for years as they were always a local company with great service and care for their customers. However it now appears that is no longer the case.  The plumber they sent out (Donald)  was less knowledgeable than what I learned in a 10 minute YouTube video and didn't was not confident that he was equipped with the skills or knowledge to complete the job. I called the main line and asked to speak to a supervisor, the receptionist took down my information and assured me that someone would call me and was unable to give me a direct contact or email for someone in a leadership position that I could reach out to address my concern. I received a call back 3 days later,
I immediately returned the call but the person in the office had no idea what I why I was calling or who the person was that called me. She again requested my info and said someone would be in touch. I explained they already had that information and if they could give me the direct line to the person who contacted me, which she was unable to provide. Long story short, they no longer handle customers complaints in house and have contracted to a 3rd party vendor named Horizon Services to handle these issues. It's not very personable, and seems rather shady that there is no contact info that can be provided for a supervisor, manager or higher up.

Save yourself the hassle and call a truly locally owned and operated plumber.

Would no longer recommend using Fenwick for anything.

Called Fenwick to make a temperature adjustment to the faucet on my soaking tub.  The tub and faucet were relatively new, I suspected there was some kind of anti scalding feature on the faucet that only allowed the water to get to body temperature.  The plumber came to make the adjustment, and something went wrong.  The tub faucet leaked and spilled water on floor and wall.  The water then leaked through the wall into the downstairs bathroom.  Bottom line is that both bathrooms were out of use because the fans and dehumidifiers placed there to address the water damage.  It's now been six days and I have yet to here from Fenwick about how to fix the tub which is still not working.   Absolutely terrible customer service:  Avoid this business!

Fenwick saved my a$$ when my tankless hot water stopped working!  They were responsive, and knowledgeable.  Got me back in the hot shower pretty quick!  The gal that takes the calls was maximum greatness.  Just loved her.  Then she hooked me up and sent Robert.  Fenwick might always be fabulous, or maybe I just lucked out and got Fenwick's two greatest people.  It's definitely worth a call!

Great experience ! I would recommend Fenwick Plumbing.

I needed a leak fixed which  I had to shut off water inside my home.  I called on a Monday and  initially I was told their next opening was on Thursday.  I went ahead and scheduled the appointment.  Later on that day I received a call they had an opening on Tuesday!

The technician arrived on time and wearing a mask .  He explained what needed to be done and showed me what was completed.  Also honored the $50 coupon off any plumbing repair that was on their website !!

I have used them multiple times on my rentals. Even have a card on file. They have always been very reliable but unfortunately this last scheduled visit wasn't the same. First they are supposed to call me for approval on repairs. They failed to do that and repaired the issue without my approval. When I called to ask why? I got the silent treatment. Then I asked please do not run the card until I spoke to the card holder. Needless to say the card was ran. We don't have a problem with paying but we want to know ahead of time what things are going to cost. I don't think this is a way to gain business. Unfortunately we will be shopping elsewhere.

I have been using Fenwick Home Services for the last several years. Starting with some gas services, then plumbing and most recently heating and A/C services. I have found them to be super responsive, timely and honest. Today I had them do a maintenance check on one of my heat pumps. My prior vendor told me that I had a bad capacitor that needed to be replaced immediately. Thought I'd get a second opinion. Fenwick technician Cameron came out today and did a full system check. He found the system to be fully operable and within specs. So that saved me over $300. Fenwick will now be my go to choice for all my plumbing and A/C needs.

The ole bait and switch. Fenwick was running a special, $99 to snake a drain. They showed up and quoted $600 to do the job. I asked about the special and they said that's just to snake, the rest of the cost was due to pulling the toilet and re-sealing the wax ring.

So, no joke, $99 to snake a drain, but $500 just to pull the toilet.

Called Darleys and they came out and did it all for $150. Don't let the funny commercials fool you, Fenwick is garbage.

Called them to run gas to my whole house generator. They sent someone the very next day for an estimate. Agreed on the price and was scheduled for the following day. I received a text prior to the tech showing up with his picture. They completed the work. It's a very professional installation and I think the price was very fair considering the amount of work required. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Two stars for the professionalism and knowledge of service tech. Fenwick was prompt and responsive when calling to schedule. In that aspect they are great. Unfortunately thier prices are ridiculously high. 2100 00 dollars for a 40 gallon low boy tank water heater. I can buy one at lowes for 850 dollars (and it is a 48 gallon). Assuming this cost for their tank, this leaves around 1200 00 dollars for the install (and remember they will be getting the tank for less than retail so 1400 to 1500 dollars is more likely for installation). This is a straight forward install, pipes are there, electric is there. Old tank is removed. Honestly this is a 30 minute job from start to finish at best, more like 15 for a pro. Remember,  the customer also pays the fuel surcharge to get them there. How can you honestly charge that much for install of a water tank? It is just wrong. I understand that most people do not know how to do this ,therefore you can take advantage of them,  but to charge that much is just kind of criminal and seems excessive and predatory. Yes, I know they can charge what they want and so on and so forth. But, outside of the customer service I would find another company to use, cause in all reality, it should cost, at most, half the cost of the water tank price for install. So, a 850 dollar water tank should cost 425 for install, at best. Especially since the customer pays the fuel charge as well. I have had no work done by them, so I cannot speak to workmanship,  but at those prices I would image everything they do is done to perfection!

They want $89
Just to give you an estimate on whatever you need on top if you were going to hire them to do the job. Also, the $89 doesn't go to the job. That's to pay for his gas ‍ Seriously?! I'm laughing because their other reviews said they rip people off and they're correct, they do.

I wanted to install a new kitchen faucet-to update. I went on to the Yelp app. Four local companies popped up and I told them what I needed done. I had a few additional things to have done while the Plumber was here. Fenwick answered fast as lightning! So, I chose them to do the job. They came the very next day. The man was finished with his last job and was able to arrive early. I told them that was fine. They actually sent me a picture of the Plumber and his resume' type card for me to inspect. He put coverings over his shoes before entering my home. He was fast & efficient. Three jobs cost around the $400.00 price tag. I also need more work done and another quote was given for the next visit. Then the company sent me a survey to take and I did. Now, today-a couple of weeks later-I get receive a box in the mail. It is a box of wonderful cookies from Fenwick Plumbing. Businesses just don't do things like this anymore! Wow service was given and I truly am impressed. I look forward to them returning to help me with a few more projects soon. Thank you Fenwick Plumbing for outstanding work and customer service!

The response time was great. He came earlier than expected even and it was a Saturday. For convenience this was wonderful and I have no problem with the technician or the product. I had used you guys before and, while the price was a little higher, I felt it was worth it. So, I like to be loyal and called you guys again. But I learned that was a mistake for such a small job when I had already diagnosed the problem. It was my disposal and I had already reset the motor and gotten that working again but it was leaking so I could tell it needed to be replaced. So when I was emailing with the dispatcher I asked her if I should go get one and she said he would have one on his truck if it needed to be replaced. I had no idea about the price gouging that ensued. But he was out at my house and I was going to have to pay him the $89 plus $15 just to do absolutely nothing and go away, me go get one, call back and someone would come back out and install it for $350+. I ended up paying $730 and that is with the $50 coupon the technician applied. I asked him for the breakdown and he said he didn't know. He thought labor was $250 an hour and it took him about 20 minutes to install. Upon viewing the invoice the cost for the disposal and install was $676.35 plus the dispatch and fuel fees which I thought were comped if you received service and minus the $50 coupon. I can't find a disposal at home depot that costs more than $250 ( most are closer to $200) so that is QUITE an eye opening markup. Plus, I could have had one on hand if the woman I spoke with prior had just shared that would have been ok. I don't know, I feel like I should have known better but I also feel duped by a company I trusted. I guess that's the price of doing business and lesson learned but I won't revisit a company who sticks it to their customer like that.

For years we used Fenwick Plumbing. Not knowing it was sold we had them come out to replace a garbage disposal. They charged us $620.00 to replace it. We where absolutely shocked at the price since you could buy the exact same one from home depot for $65.00 that they installed. The plumber was so sorry but said they have no control over it. He was embarrassed. When you call them they are answered by people in Atlanta Ga.
We will never ever use them again and I would advise other people to do the same.
Truly a rip off company now! Shame on them!!!

AC did not seem cold or doing its job.. I have 3 ac compressors for a larger than average home. Searched for usual service AC calls. I work for a company that has several homes and condos under management and am familiar with the mass of home issues that can arise. Saw Fenwick advertising, and that they had an AC inspection and tune up special, so I called them and made an appointment. Two servicemen came out on my call and started the work, This involved checking the refrigerant in each AC unit, cleaning them. Two units were fine and doing well, one unit struggled just a bit and was low on gas, and it is an old R22 Freon unit. One unit had a bad condenser and needed replaced at $400+, Freon was not added to the Freon unit. The ac cooling coils in the air handlers were inspected and appeared in ok condition, not cleaned. Two of my condensate lines were both almost plugged shut, where water leaves the handler and drains to outside home. A week or two later or so, BOTH leaked and overflowed, the one inside a room in the house, damaging new vinly flooring in multiple places. I [ME] blew out, and vacuumed out both lines, and treated them with Vinegar, and they are now clear and working well. When they said they were finished and talked to me about the billing, which i paid, the Freon AC came up. They said my unit needed freon and it was very expensive as it has been phased out as to new units to market, and the figure of $5,000 dollars was given to me OR I could install a new AC for that or a bit more by them. I said i'd limp on what i had in place. So here is the next set of events. TWO AND ONE HALF pounds of freon R22 can be purchased for $150 or 250 to 300d for a total of 5 pounds of gas. If 16 ounces is wanted, it is $70. I ordered that online. Together with the gauge set to install refrigerant into the AC. Having done it before on my west coast managed houses, it cost me total about $250, and my time. Freon R22 was NOT $5,000.... check Ebay for yourself. If I were an uneducated in experienced home owner, I believe I would have been AC FEAR PORN led into a 5,000 to 9,000 new AC compressor system, ie up to $9,000 for the AC, and 2,000 to 3,000+ for the install. So while my AC ran after they left, after simply being cleaned, Now the Freon AC is cold and humming well. if it's not broke, don't replace it!!. So my trust in Fenwick was ruined, I do not trust their talk and UPSELLING to BIG dollars. Read their reviews on other sites, and you will get the idea of how they work. I would not use them again. I am familiar with the work that AC companies can do on the 20 properties I manage, and frankly, I saw Fenwick as to who they were and how they operate and UPSELL when not needed.

I've used Fenwick for plumbing and AC, and have had a great experience both times. We recently bought our house, and have the usual delayed maintenance the previous owner did not keep up with. Plumbing call was for the hot water heater acting up, and unfortunately we needed a new one due to the age of the unit and former home owner not performing the routine maintenance. Fenwick was able to come back out quickly and get a new unit installed the same week. The plumber, Craig, made sure to apply current coupons, got me signed up for their annual plan (saved enough with it that it covered the cost of the plan and also includes routine maintenance). They also offer financing with zero interest for a set amount of time, which we took advantage of since the hot water heater was not a planned replacement.

AC call was on a Saturday evening as the AC had stopped providing cold air (which in Jax in August is a problem). They got me scheduled for the next day and Jesse arrived shortly after 8 AM and got us back up and running in under two hours. He also got us scheduled for the AC maintenance check and a clean of the evaporator coils (a known issue when we bought the house, but who thinks about the AC until it's acting up?) later in the same week. I will certainly be using Fenwick again.

We replaced our old countertops in the kitchen to granite. The sink used to be over the top but we decided on countersunk and the piping did not match up. So, we called Fenwick on a Saturday and their plumber, Michael Bryant showed up on time. He replaced everything that was needed, leak checked it and now we have a workable sink and garbage disposal! He was very friendly, and knowledgeable and got the job done right! It also comes with a one year warranty. Nice company to remember when you have plumbing or air-conditioning problems. They are 24/7.

We had plumbing issues that started on Friday Night of Memorial Day Weekend. We called Fenwick and we're told that they could send someone out on Monday and it would be $99 to clear the drain and $99 to run a camera (if needed). Fenwick employee Tim A. arrived on Monday at the appointed time.  He came into the house and was very condescending to to my wife. With out doing anything, he said it was not a clogged drain, and that there was no way it would be $99 to fix, he also said that our front bush would have to be removed before he could use the drain clean out machine.   He walking around the house and was looking in rooms (including my daughter's room) which had nothing to do with the issue. By the time he was done with the estimate of cost, He was nickel and diming everything, with each thing costing a few hundred dollars, and climbing  on the roof was over $600 dollars. It was very obvious he didn't want to be here, so my wife sent him packing. My wife called Fenwick and was told a manager would call back, but no one ever called. There is no customer service in this company.  We contacted Mr Rooter instead and a very nice guy fixed our clogged drain and cleaned everything for under $300. I can not recommend Fenwick, and definitely think Tim is not a person I would what representing my company.

EXTREMELY professional and respond lightning fast. We had a plumbing emergency late at night and they were at my place in under 20 minutes. The professional who fixed our shower (that wouldn't shut off) was very courteous and informative, he showed me how to turn off the water main for when problems occur in the future.

Very highly recommend!

I called on a Friday around 2 after we realized our spare bathroom shower had started leaking into the adjoining bathroom. They not only showed up within the hour, Travis (whom I will request in the future for any needs) fixed it in less than an hour. The ladies I spoke with on the phone had amazing customer service etiquette (I'm in customer service so I have a somewhat high standard). Travis was personable and straightforward. I felt that the job was well done and was priced great. My husband thought they would have to rip the tub out. Nope. I would/will recommend them to my friends.
Thanks Fenwick and Travis!!

They quoted me $2700.00 to replace my kitchen sink. I already had the new sink but the reason they stated why so much was because I was going from a two drain sink to a one drain sink. If I was going to replace it with another two drain sink it would be only $1900.00. When I called the office to inquire why so much they said the price is quoted on the job site. Then when I asked to speak to someone to discuss I was told it would be 24 Business hours before they would call me back, that is 3 days to wait to get an answer why so high. Great customer service.

After I posted this they are asking me for my info so they can try and fix the situation, instead of doing that when I called to discuss the matter.  As stated above I was told I would have to wait 3 business days and now they want me to list my email etc on this site, I don't think so, all they have to do is check their records and they would have my info. Or do they need the info to sort out who was give outrages quotes today. Really disappointing.

Excellent customer service. I had worked with many AC companies and this Fenwick company is top notch. Ryan Mahon is a honest service technician and he provided a detailed inspection and troubleshoot my issue with my ducts. Even found out the previous AC company never did the prevention maintenance like I paid them to. Ryan and Fenwick-the best!

Buyer beware.  Learn from me...Ask questions first, before hiring!

Fenwick Plumbing Pro's and Cons
Pros:
1) Easy access to online appointment making.    Fancy website.
2) Good follow-up with the office on confirmation of appointment
3) plumber came within the 4 hour time period

Cons:
1)  Plumber did not discuss scope of work or what prices would be up front.
2) Got HUGE  bill and was told itemized bill would be sent from the office.
(paperless because of covid) I  paid the bill not knowing what I was paying
     for.
When I confronted plumber on why so expensive, he said labor rate
was over $200.00 a hour and then on top of that the  basic shower head,
cartridge valve and tub filler, but would not itemize costs.

I guess its really my fault for not doing my homework and asking about hourly rate, but in all fairness, never had to do that.    Spoke with the office a week later and they contradicted what the Plumber said about Hourly rate.
but getting a bill for $518.00 for a job that should have been at the most $250.00...maybe $275.00, there is no doubt that their rate is above $200.00 an hour.

When I  did finally receive the invoice, it was still not itemized.  Just all lumped into one sum.

Fenwick  ended up crediting me $100.00 which was nice of them.

So all I can say is if you do hire them, just ask questions head of time.   do your due diligence.

I've had a number of issues with my AC unit lately. Fenwick was quick in responding and diagnosing the problem. They showed up when they said they would, everyone I spoke with was professional, and the job was done in a reasonable amount of time. AC is now in good working order. Would recommend based on this experience.

Water not draining from tub. Tried to clear it myself to no avail despite trying several times. Called Bill Fenwick Plumbing because of a previous issue they had handled for us. They responded in a timely manner and cleared the blockage. The repairman was very friendly and kept us informed as to the state of the repair in progress. Within an hour or so the blockage was cleared and we could shower again. Yyaaayyyyyy
I will always call on Fenwick Plumbing for any issues involving water, plumbing and drainage.

Yelpers beware! Nothing I dislike more then a thieving bastard! Unfortunately that's what I encountered dealing with these guys today.

I called last week and setup an appointment for today. I received a text confirmation after hanging up with the time and date of the scheduled appointment. This morning I received a 2nd text today with the plumbers picture and personal information as well as confirmation of the scheduled appt. I replied to with the parking place number that he needed to park in.

Once the plumber arrived I first learned he parked in the wrong spot so he moved. Secondly I noticed he reeked of smoke, not good for a customer that dislikes cigarette smoke. Uggh!

He takes a look at the project and work space, a basic sink disposal change, snaps a few pics and tells me it'll be $399 + $89 trip chg, which was with me supplying the new disposal. I should've tossed his smelly ass out but I just wanted it done.

It took him less than 1hr to complete including his pissing and moaning.

Yelpers beware, find another plumber. This was $150 job, $200 tops. These assholes ripped me off and they'll rip you off too.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  They charge too much and do shoddy work.

I hired Bill Fenwick plumbing to replace a supply line to my bathroom sink.  It worked fine, but it was copper and had some corrosion so my home owner's insurance company told me that I needed to have it replaced.  Brandon from Bill Fenwick came out, spent less than an hour replacing them and also replacing my faucet, and charged me over $700.  It was high, but I needed it done because my insurance company was going to cancel my policy if I didn't.

Some time after Brandon the plumber left, I went to wash my hands at the sink and no water came out.  I went under the sink and turned on the water supply, and immediately water started gushing out at the spot where the line meets the faucet.  I had to turn it back off because it was literally flooding the under-sink area.  Apparently Brandon never bothered to turn the water on to make sure that his work was good.  Shouldn't that be in the first day of Plumbing 101?

In summary, Bill Fenwick charged me over $700 to make my bathroom sink completely unusable.  They broke something that worked fine in the first place, so they are the anti-plumbers.  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Had a slab leak, they came out fixed it. Some time later.....another slab leak in same location....they came out fixed it and 6 months later here i am again with a slab leak in the same place. Sure it's possible that I could have gotten another leak legit, however unlikely based on the location and timing. Something fishy is going on here. I have decided to go with a different company for this third slab leak.

I don't take/leave 1-star reviews lightly. I generally like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt, but my particular experience with this company truly deserves 1 Star.

First of all, I started my search for plumbers by calling around to price them out for fixing a clogged shower drain. Upon calling Fenwick's, I was pleased to hear that they had a flat-$99 clogged drain rate. I made sure to specifically ask, if that was the actual price and was assured that was their flat rate. After the work was done, an $89 dispatch fee was added, virtually doubling their flat-rate price for (conservatively) 10min of work.

Additionally, I called to ask that the technician call me prior to arriving at my residence so that they wouldn't ring the doorbell and wake my sleeping 2 y/o. Again, the person on the phone assured me that it was standard operating procedure for them to call prior. However, sure enough, no call and the ringing doorbell woke up my child.

I called them afterwards and was told management would call me within 24 business hours. Here it is a week later...

As the cherry on top of it all, the drain still doesn't drain properly.

All that said, proceed with caution and make an informed decision for your plumbing needs

Called to have garbage disposal replaced but they would not provide price until they saw it. They came and quoted over $600 and told them that was too much for this little job so he reduced it to $500 and completed work correctly.

Later I noticed they had not left the key that came in the kit so that we could unjam future clogs.  I called and supervisor said they would drop it off.  He also told me that with their new ownership that their field reps are to quote a price for a job and if the customer argues the rep is to call the supervisor and the price will be reduced.  Not the way I would run an honest business but that's what he said.

Anyway, I have called back twice to the receptionist who promises to have the key delivered but nothing yet and the last call was a few weeks ago.  Giving up and probably wont deal with them again

I definitely would not recommend Fenwick. We called for an issue with not enough cold air coming out of the vents with the ac on. The technician came out and after 10/15 minutes he told us we need an entire new system because the coils were frozen and there was absolutely no way to fix it. He said he could try to add some coolant but it would be $1000 because our system is to old. As soon as he left I started calling around and I also called family members who currently work for hvac systems and used to. They all told me I do not need a new system that I needed to change the filter and wait for the ice too melt . We also found a clog on the pipe. So once we cleaned all of the out and changed the filter again the problem was fixed and we haven't had any issues . Even a Google search had the same information but I did not know the coils were frozen otherwise I would've never called them. The person that came for the tune up back on November told us to change the filter every 6 months . Which turns out because we have an older house it should be every 30 days!  My wife and I are new/first time home owners so we really didn't know alot and they definitely tried to take advantage of that. We paid them a fee to come out and basically do nothing and that's so frustrating. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Our 2 year old Carrier air conditioning unit stopped cooling (in August!!).  I quickly searched online for a company that could take a look at it.  I chose Fenwick.  The same day Jesse came out and very quickly diagnosed the problem (faulty 70/5 capacitor which seems to be a common issue).  Fenwick charged $89 for the visit, parts extra. We're now Fenwick customers for life!!  I even signed up for a plan they offered.  100% recommend them.

I wanted a quote for a dishwasher install, seemed simple, hey wouldnt give it to me over the phone but said they would send someone to assess the job, I was pretty desperate. So the man comes out (with an 89$ dispatch fee) said it would be FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS for a dishwasher install.... my house is ten years old, no major plumbing issues, simple straight forward job. I told the guy I would find someone else and he tried to scare me and say I would break something If I did it myself, thanks for trying to intimidate me but I'm still passing! the guys who delivered my dishwasher installed it for 100$ in 30 minutes.

We moved into the house 2 weeks ago. We have been Presented with a number of challenges associated with owning an older home. When the need for a plumbing repair was needed I recalled the distinct commercial for Bill Fenwick. I gave them a call, I was told that I was just outside of the service area but they were willing to make the travel and evaluate the issue.
In my industry, I am called to evaluate a problem with a piece of equipment, once the repair are determined I submit a repair quote to the Owner or maintenance repair manager. It is then and only then when the approval is given for the repair do I facilitate the need. In my case, I had 4 other companies waiting to provide a quote for the repair I needed. It was the alarming phone call I received from one of the other plumbers waiting to evaluate my concern that caused concern. I was read the riot act by the waiting company stating I should have called them to cancel the service call if I elected someone to conduct the repair. As you can imagine this caught me off guard as I didn't give authorization to have the repairs done. Well unfortunately 1 1/2 hours elapsed and an invoice was given to me for an exuberant amount. $650 to resolve a leak under the sink. My complaint submitted and I waited 3 days for a response. I called back and wanted to speak to someone regarding my experience. Low and behold the sound of the voice was recognized from the commercials, Mr Fenwick and I spoke he advised That there was a calculated error in the prices and a refund (small) was issued. I was grateful for the conversation but still not satisfied with how things were handle not the price I paid for the work received. Well 24 hours elapsed and wouldn't you know it, more water leaking from the same area. Licking my wounds from the previous experience, I wasn't ready for another kick in the shorts from this company. a local fella was recommended and this time I got what I expected. A professional evaluation and quote was give within minutes of the service tech being on site. He advised me that the repair was cause by the newly installed components. It was in his opinion that the sweated joint was damaged by the actions of the previous technician. Well that is disappointing I thought but I knew I had to get things repaired regardless. The new repair tech said it would cost me $150.00 to resolve the concern. I immediately approved the quote. The tech was there for 3.5 hours to resolve the issue. I asked are you sure that the quote was fair? His reply was absolutely and thank you for your service to our country, I didn't even ask for a military discount but it was given out of courtesy because of conversations that were had during the repair process.
Mr Fenwick if you read these reviews, understand that the way you are conducting business should change. You got me once out of ignorance to your industry standards. You will not get me ever again. Word of mouth advertising is a great tool, I wish you luck in the future.

Showed up on time, professional service, done quickly, and reasonable cost. We had Fenwick repair 2 loose toilets (one with a broken flange), repair two leaky faucets, and flush our tankless water heater. They did a great job. Secured the toilet flanges with concrete screws (the correct way to install a toilet) and they had the needed faucet cartridges. They were in and out in 2 hours. Thanks Robert!

Used Fenwick Plumbing when we had a leak through the wall. Fenwick was quick to send out Ronald Ayers who made a recommendation to call in Leak Solutions to find the leak. He than returned to fix the problem.  He was professional and efficient. I also loved that he gave us recommendations for Restoration and a Handyman because we were clueless. We were supposed to put our house on the market that weekend. Thanks to him we didn't loose too many days. Highly recommend Fenwick Plumbing.

I called the main phone number yesterday to request a price to convert my current gas hot water heater to a tank-less gas hot water heater.  The person on the phone said they could not give me a price over the phone but would send someone out tomorrow to provide a free quote.
The individual arrived today, spent 5 minutes looking at our current water heater and the gas meter and then spent 10 minutes in their truck writing a quote.  The quote was exorbitant and did not even state the brand and/or model number of the tank-less unit they proposed installing.
Then, to add salt to the wound, they invoiced me $89.00 for providing me with a quote.  Bill Fenwick Plumbing will never set foot on my property again!  A total rip-off!!!!!

We had used Bill Fenwick Plumbing in the past (2012) for an emergency pipe burst.  They were prompt, efficient, and professional at the time, and the charges were reasonable. That is why we called them recently to install a new kitchen faucet set which we had already purchased, thinking we might install it ourselves.
The repairman was prompt, efficient, and professional...but the rates were ridiculously high.  I checked online and found I could have called a few other companies and gotten the same job done for half the price.
As much as we liked the repairman who came out, we won't be calling Bill Fenwick again.

The washing machine drain was backing up. I called Monday morning and they had a friendly and engaged tech at home before noon. They snaked the drain and found the plastic knockout from original install down a few feet with some accumulated lent helping block. They removed and cleaned drain. Stayed within the $99 drain snake fee. Very pleased and will use again should we have issues.

Because we moved from Orlando to Jacksonville the Miele company concierge service will not install it again, so we choose this company to haul the old unit and install ours

- installers were on time as scheduled.
- the unit got well installed and its working great

We just bought our first house and found our hot water was just not lasting. After trying the breaker and adjusting things ourselves on the water heater, we decided we were in over our heads and needed to call in a professional. Not only was Fenwick fast at responding with an initial service call and time for the next day, they even called earlier than their window to ask if we wanted them to come over then - yes!! Charles visited and we did definitely need a new water heater, but he explained the issue thoroughly and was able to have our it replaced and everything usable in 4 hours! As a longtime renter, I'm new to this process of not just calling the landlord, but I know exactly who to call now for fast, good plumbing services.

I purchased a omnivore pump grinder from them in March of 18, this is a 2k pump. They installed it, and now 1.5 years later the float switch burned out. So I have dug the hole, got to the tank and I am unable to lift the lid. I called them and asked if they would at least come pull the lid for me to get the pump out. They stated that they would NOT. Even though, they installed it...?  Correct, we will not come out and pop the lid. That is NOT Golden Plunger Service. I do not recommend as they do not obviously guarantee their work.

Had a clogged kitchen drain and was surprised by a very high quote of $354 plus $89 service ($443 total cost) to snake drain from under sink. Would have been an additional cost if they needed to go on roof to get to the main line. We did not use them and refused to pay $89 since this was not explained on advance. Total fraudsters. Needed a simple residential kitchen disposal replaced. 1/3 hp plug-in unit. Fenwick would not provide any estimate for rough order of magnitude pricing over the phone, insisting that they had to see the job to provide any sort of price point. This was a red flag but I allowed myself to be swayed by the positive yelp reviews.Technician showed up. Very polite and the appointment was very well coordinated. The tech quoted the job at $700. A brand new top rated InSinkErator Badger 5 unit costs $94 new. The unit includes a safety plug. No wiring is required for this job. Biggest part is to connect the new disposal to the sink trap piping. On a really bad day with old pipes this could take a couple of hours. Not the case here in a new condo. Upon calling BS to the tech, he immediately came down to $500. Still an excessive charge. Upon my rejection of the offer the plumbing tech began to negotiate with me asking how much would I be willing to pay for this? Seriously??? You try to scam me and then expect me to engage your services at any price?Fenwick had the opportunity to be professional. They knew the ROM pricing and expected cost of the project when they sent the tech. That is simple math. Their unwillingness to share the information before the tech came was a red flag I should have heeded and was clear foreshadowing of their unethical business practices. Fenwick plumbing is taking advantage of people who do not know or understand the costs of material and labor for their plumbing projects. Beware and be skeptical!
FOLLOW UP. Had the project completed by another company in less than an hour and for $215, including the new disposal.

I have never had a bad experience with Bill Fenwick. Bought a home with quite a few plumbing issues. I used a few (not named here) plumbers who were either WAY overpriced or exhibited poor customer service. The three times I've called, the dispatch has been incredibly helpful, the plumbers have been willing to go ABOVE their job to help me prevent future issues, and their prices are much lower than I've paid.

I paid $111 to fix a pipe clog. With another provider, i paid over $200. Just sayin

I know most people are scriptural about repairmen and you almost always have a feeling like you are somehow going to get ripped off, but Bill Fenwick went above and beyond to make my money feel worth it.

I needed a water heater replaced and called to see when the plumber would be able to come replace it. The young lady I spoke to was very nice and knew her stuff when I explained my situation to her. We set the appointment for the next day. The plumber actually came early and was easy to talk to. He informed me about what was wrong and what he was doing the whole time he was there.

When I talked to the younger lady on the phone I was offered a deal of some sort, but the next day Bill Fenwick himself (hopefully not a paid actor) called and said that they would not be able to honor it. I wasn't let down because the lady did say it might not go through, but at least she tried.

Anyways the plumber did a good job and the price was fair. I would recommend that if you need a plumber for a heavy duty job then give these guys a call.

We have used Bill Fenwick plumbing for many years now and always found their work top quality and their prices fair. We were unaware that they had changed ownership until just now while reading other reviews. We purchased a new dishwasher and a garbage disposal and, due to the pandemic, chose to have Fenwick install them rather than have random people in our house without masks. Their technicians do wear masks, gloves and shoe coverings. That's the good news. The problem is their bill. They charged us $850 to install a dishwasher and a garbage disposal. As we bought both appliances this cost was pure labor. Their charges are anything but fair and reasonable and maybe they'll come to realize this as they continue to lose long time customers.

He asked if I was okay with him wearing a mask and shoe covers in my home. Mr. Flynt was easy to talk to. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions thoroughly. If I didn't understand, he would provide examples to help me understand the and mechanics in the fixtures with issues. Mr. Flynt took the time to share information about other services offered by Fenwick Plumbing which is very helpful for future projects. I was made aware of coupons and current specials. Repair costs were reasonable. He provided a protective covering for the washer in order to do the repair. Processing payment was very efficient and effective. I will use Fenwick Plumbing for future services and I recommend Mr. Flynt to be your Fenwick Professional.

We needed our hot water heater replaced after I came home yesterday to find it leaking all over the garage floor. I requested an appointment on their website and got a call back within minutes (and this was around 9 o'clock at night!) Tyler came out this afternoon, had a new one delivered and installed (and our old water heater was solar powered so not so cut and dry) all within three hours! It wasn't exactly cheap but when it comes to water inside your home, you want somebody who does the job right the first time! Tyler was very polite and explained everything he was doing throughout the entire process. I won't hesitate to use Bill Fenwick in the future, and recommend them to friends and family as well.

They came when they said. Did the work as was promised. The Tech noticed a problem that was JEA's responsibility and suggested that I call it in. (JEA promptly fixed their problem.)
Fenwick is a little expensive. In this case they were not able to provide same day service. But they did a good job.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.  NO LONGER A FAMILY COMPANY.  OWNED BY CORPORATION SINCE JUNE!!  VERY EXPENSIVE AND NO COSTUMER SERVICE!!  They came out about my gas fireplace.  Didn't know why it worked now but went on and off the day before.  $89 just to drive out and then used my sandpaper to spend 5 minutes sanding on 2 little metal sticks just incase there was soot and charged an additional $128.  No longer family business.  Bought out by corporate.  Called for days before I could even speak to someone in charge and he isn't sure what can be done.  I never received a bill.  Just signed all this iPad stuff and handed over my credit card.  My mistake for that.  So do not use them!!  $217 for nothing and I can't even put a review on their lovely testimonial page!  Sawyer Gas recommended them.  I have called Sawyer Gas and told them they should not be recommending them anymore.

I have an older house that I inherited from my parents. The house has galvanized pipes, so I knew I'd have problems eventually.

Seven or eight months ago, water started backing up in the front shower. I snaked it out myself, got a bunch of clay-looking stuff out of it and it started working again (albeit slowly).

At the end of July, the water started backing up and me snaking it from the shower wasn't working. I ended up with a mini-flood in my house and I called Bill Fenwick (based on other reviews) to come take a look at it. They sent John Tuthill and a helper (Mitch), who snaked it from the cleanout and got it draining again in less than an hour. They left me with a warning that because of the galvanized pipes that ran all the way to the street, this would be a long-term problem and I should look into replacing the sewer main, as it was probably one-quarter the size it should have been.

On September 7 it all went to hell. This one wasn't a mini-flood because I took a shower while the washing machine and dishwasher were both running. I had water coming up from both toilets, the shower, and even the sink. I ran to Home Depot and rented an electric augur (knowing that my little hand-cranked one wasn't going to clear this) and after two hours of wrestling with the clog (and losing two augur heads), I gave in and called Bill Fenwick again. I asked for John Tuthill to come back out and he did. He said, in essence, Well, here we are. Time for a new sewer main. He gave me a written estimate and I immediately accepted it and scheduled it for September 9 (I did my homework and this estimate was exactly - and I mean within two dollars - of the national average for the work I needed done) and in the meantime, I got used to draining the overflow with a shop-vac through the cleanout whenever we needed to use water - super not fun.

Anyway, it took them two days  because of the peculiarities of my yard to dig out the clogged pipe, which turned out to not even be a pipe. It was a clearly DIY tarpaper pipe fix circa 1970. They put new PVC in the ground, got me all hooked up, and everything started draining correctly once more. The guys that were out here, especially John Tuthill (really can't recommend him enough, that's why I'm name-dropping him so much) were super professional and explained everything they were doing and why. There was no, Shove off and let us work vibe and they were friendly and courteous despite having to hand-dig my yard during one of the hottest days in recent memory (100+ degree temps - I was seriously concerned for their health).

My only MINOR complaint is that they left me with five contractor bags of broken masonry and never returned for the inspection that I was told was going to happen. I FULLY understand why they were in a rush, since if you live in Florida you'll notice that the day they got done with my work was the day before Hurricane Irma hit North Florida, but still it wasn't fun hauling several hundred pounds of broken masonry to the dump and waiting for an inspection that never got scheduled.

All-in-all, I highly recommend them and again, them rushing the end of the job and wanting to make sure their own homes were safe from the impending hurricane isn't something I can justify taking away a star for.

Great re-plumbing job by Keith and Beau of Bill Fenwick Plumbing. Re-plumbs can be very destructive to a house due to routing of the new pipe. Keith did a great job of planning the routing of the new pipes to minimize the cutting of walls. He also made sure we were informed about what they were doing and why - no surprises. These guys take pride in their workmanship!

No work done, so I cannot attest to quality.  However, I received a quote to connect a new faucet, garbage disposal, and connect dishwasher for $1400!!!!   To me, outrageous!!!  My plumber is away and would do for $300.  30mins to connect faucet, 30mins for dishwasher, 30mins for disposal and 1hour for waste line.  2 1/2 hours or about $140/hr.  Almost $467/hr?!?!?  Not this guy.

Guy cut me off as I said hello, telling me to lock my dogs up. Ok...not everyone likes dogs. However, he was rude about it and then told me there was no power to my dishwasher...which he was there to hook up...and when I pressed the power button he was surprised because ...ta da...it had power  Then he tells me he will give me a quote and it will include having to pull my dishwasher out. I was rather unhappy already between the dog thing, and the power thing so I advised him that I would be happy to pull the dishwasher out (brand new, electrician was out already to connect the power) and that if he couldn't do the job he could leave and I would be happy to call another company. He assured me he was a certified plumber and he did get the job done  However, I would rather pay more money for David Gray for any future needs than have this kind of rude person in my home even for the better price.

Just want to give you a fair warning that if you call this company for service they are very quick to respond with a price that will have your head spinning once your handed the bill. The only place I've ever dealt with when nothing is itemized and when I called into challenge the $393 labor and the $309 equipment I was basically given the speech where they justify all charges and attempt to make you feel like you got a bargain. Even grocery stores itemized purchases but not these folks and everything is based on their systems which make no sense/CENTS at all. Shower still leaks so I want to thank them for allowing me the opportunity to call another plumbing company to come fix what did not leak prior to them entering into my home. Although they may have a pretty good reputation in the city of Jacksonville I will share with you that I will never use these folks again. Not telling you what you should or shouldn't do when it comes to plumbing but please just make sure that you bring your wallet and are willing to pay for services rendered without any itemized bill or chance to challenge without listening to somebody tell you that the charges were justified and you basically got a deal. I have a deal... Call another plumbing company. I have attached my bill for your review so you can see the charges listed but no itemized bill....

Our kitchen faucet began leaking on Christmas Day. I called the next morning and a service tech arrived 45 minutes later and corrected the issue quickly. He asked where our hot water heater was located and after checking out our tankless natural gas water heater outside, he showed me that the exterior gas pipes were badly corroded and needed replacement or it would start leaking gas outside. A service tech certified with gas has to complete that so I called back and they had another service tech at our home the following morning. He was able to replace the pipes and he installed our new natural gas grill. We were very pleased with both service calls and they were very reasonably priced.

My first review was when I was upset over a death in the family, my a/c costing 700$, my water heater going, my electric panel needing to be replaced in the morning and having to give the electrician $100 just for an estimate that wasn't even written up. I just got a business card. I am not using him. I got a free estimate from another electric company. Fenwick plumbing did a good job and the technicians were very nice and very polite. It was a bit more then I had wanted to pay but we need showers! We just have to wait one more day. But I do think Fenwick did a good job.

We spent almost $50,000 on a complete gut remodel of our master bathroom which was 35 years old and had wallpaper instead of tile !!  It was a mess and unfortunately learned that we should NEVER have used a plumbing company as a bathroom remodel company !!!   They also did NOT use high end products only charged us a HIGH END PRICE !!  Only a few years later we  are REGULARLY finding out just how many low end short cuts and substandard materials they used !!  We waited years !! To actually remodel our bathroom .... raising 4 children was our priority !  It has been an utter disappointment we are still paying for as we financed the remodel with a home equity loan !!!
On a fair note.... Fenwick plumbing DOES offer good plumbing services.... but they are clearly NOT qualified for bathroom remodels !!!

Very good overall service.

Called them from IL on a Friday to service my tenants toilets and sink in Jax and they went out next day, were on time and very couteous to my tenants. He fixed all the issues in a reasonable amount of time an called me to follow-up after completion. I requested a copy of the invoice to be emailed since I was out of state and it was received promptly. Highly recommend!!

Side note: I found them on this site from reading prior reviews.

After a month of delays caused primarily by the current COVID 19 pandemic, I was finally able to speak to someone from Fenwick Plumbing.  They were very apologetic about the lack of a timely response to my concerns, but explained that with everyone working remotely some of the emails from customers unfortunately fell through the cracks.  I spoke with a friendly representative and she was able to explain their per job pricing model as opposed to a hourly model, and how sometimes it may appear to be out of line with the actual job performed.  She listened to my recommendations and assured me that she would be sharing my comments with management in an effort to improve.  In the end Fenwick Plumbing made the appropriate adjustment and issued me a substantial refund of a portion of the amount I paid to be more in line with the service that they provided.  Thus, I am willing to chalk up the initial delay in addressing my concerns to the current COVID situation, and would be willing to give Fenwick Plumbing another shot should I have any plumbing needs as the plumber that they sent out, James, was excellent.

The service was prompt and did a good job. Josh was in my house total 20min. You get charged 1/2hr then per 15min. He came back in with bill and charged me an extra 15min. I asked what was that he said they charge to write the bill. I told him he needs to write faster and he was still in the 1/2hr. He reluctantly took the time off after I told him I wasn't paying it either way. Called the office and they were like oh maybe he just did that accidentally. I said nope I called him on it and his reply is he charged for writing the bill. Listen I don't mind paying for a service but you ain't charging me for time I didn't use. I will not be using them again. I am sure he does this often.

Called Bill Fenwick when my Rinnai tankless hot water heater started leaking. I had already called Rinnai and was told by their customer service rep that the leak was probably caused by a failed heat exchanger.  The plumber inspected the unit and agreed that it was the heat exchanger, but he didn't have a replacement so one would have to be ordered. He charged me $149 for the call to verify something I had already been told by Rinnai in a 5-minute phone conversation. A few days later he returned and installed a new heat exchanger and charged another $352 for labor to install it for a total of $501 in labor. No credit was allowed for the $149 for the first call. The very next week the unit stopped producing hot water, so I called Bill Fenwick again. Another plumber came and deduced that the gas valve had failed, probably due to the leak from the heat exchanger the week before. Again, he didn't have the needed part so it would have to be ordered. He returned a few days later and installed the part for another $160 in labor, plus he added another $64 for the diagnostic call to identify the problem from a few days before. Keep in mind, this was mere days after the $501 charge for the heat exchanger replacement. Despite claiming to be an authorized service provider for Rinnai, they apparently don't stock any Rinnai parts. So all repairs require two trips, and therefore two labor charges. Nice racket. Since I personally was not available when the gas valve was replaced I could not question the charges at the time.  But with $725 in labor invested in these two repairs I decided to call Bill Fenwick to clarify their billing policies. To wit, if another problem occurred in a few days would I again be charged labor for another two calls, or would some allowance be made for the $725 already paid? I spoke to a very nice customer service woman who asked for a detailed accounting of my question so she could insure that she had the proper person return my call. Someone was to call me shortly. That was over a week ago and I'm still waiting. Maybe Bill Fenwick does not want to discuss their billing policies. Not having hot water is a very unpleasant experience. I can't help but feel that that situation was exploited by Bill Fenwick Plumbing.

After calling numerous plumbing companies to repair an emergency leak to our main water pipe to our well, no one was available, not even the so called emergency 24/7 plumbing companies. Once we found Bill Fenwick plumbing they were here within an hour of the call and stayed until 10:00 PM to get the job done. Great example of professional quality service!

After using another plumbing company for years, we called Fenwick Plumbing for a second  opinion on our outside sewer pipe.  Boy, am I glad we did!!  Our former plumber said our pipe had collapsed & needed to be replaced.  Fenwick came out, scoped the pipe & made the needed repairs.  Our pipe wasn't collapsed at all.  Lester & Charlie were on time, professional, polite & funny.  Great office staff as well.  Calling to let us know they plumbers were on the way & answering questions we had beforehand.  The price was VERY reasonable.  We now have a new plumbing company should we ever need it.

We had them come out to run a liquid propane line and the guys were downright amazing, punctual, and polite. I was nervous about running a gas line across my entire yard, but the guys assured me nothing would happen and they did a great job routing it around the septic system. Matt, the service manager, communicated clearly and offered a fair quote, by far not the cheapest, but the most professional. My only complaint is they wrote in the proposal they would tie the line into the tank but tied it into an existing line that supplied our Rinnai with propane instead. Matt assured me there would be no affect on the Rinnai, but I wish they offered some sort of credit for the less work. By no means is this a reflection of the guys who came out, but an office issue. Other than that, it was an excellent experience!

In reference to services like plumbing, it's either good or bad for me. Either you fixed the issue or you didn't. But I can rate the customer service as it relates to the work, and they did that exceptionally well. I called once to schedule an appointment. Was given a 3 hour time window with a 20min courtesy call.  And they quickly fixed the issue with a reasonable price. All of which should be the norm and expected, but it isn't. I value my time and my money so I appreciated the no hassle interaction!

We needed to have a garbage disposal replaced.  My wife made an appointment for a convenient time. Then, we decided to add some services (installing a new kitchen sink and facet). She called back with one day notice to postpone.  No Problem getting the new appointment.

After discovering a leak and mold behind our drywall, we wanted to get a plumber out ASAP! The first plumber we called didn't return our message for over 24 hrs.  The second plumber we called scheduled us three days out and then missed the appointment!  Finally, we called Bill Fenwick and they had a technician out an hour later.  Kenny was quick, professional, and answered all our questions.  I wish we would have called Bill Fenwick first instead of living with exposed mold for 5 days!

I recently used Fenwick plumbing for a couple of plumbing jobs- putting a main shutoff in and replacing some faucet cylinders. One thing nice about Fenwick plumbing is they do not add an additional charge for coming on the weekend- it's the same charge whether a weekday or weekend. It is $89 for them to come out and provide an estimate. The customer service is top notch in my opinion as the first rep I spoke with was very friendly and accommodating with booking the appointment. On the day of the appointment I received a text that the plumber was on his way and then a bit later the plumber even called to confirm he was on his way as well, plumber arrived right on time and one thing I appreciate as we recently put in a paver driveway is the plumber parked on the street. I personally think all business vehicles should park on the street especially if someone has a paver driveway as you never know if the vehicle has an oil leak or something. The vehicle looked nice and well maintained but non the less I appreciated him not parking the truck on the drive. The plumber introduced himself and when Fenwick sends you a text or email it has the picture of the person coming. The plumber was very friendly and put on booties even though I told him it wasn't necessary but I appreciated the care he took. Showed him what I needed fixed etc. and then came the tough part in which he showed me the estimate- I was quite shocked at the price but didn't really want to go thru the hassle of getting multiple bids etc. so I accepted to get the job done. The plumber did a great job and cleaned up etc. so you wouldn't even know he was there. At the time I was thinking Fenwick has great customer service & performs quality work but based on the pricing if I had a need in the future I would check other companies out. Fenwick sent me an email survey & most of the time I don't complete those but this time I did & I gave them high marks for their customer service/ quality but mentioned my concern/ dissatisfaction with their cost. Whenever you use a service you know your going to pay up for the service & should expect too but there is paying and then there's feeling like you way overpaid. I received a call yesterday from one of their client service associates who wanted to discuss my review and I explained to her everything I stated here and she asked what I was expecting the job to cost & I provided her the number I expected & after discussion she stated the Fenwick wants their clients to be happy and agreed to refund a portion of my cost to something more agreeable to both parties. Businesses are in business to make a profit I certainly realize that but by that gesture of following up and working with me on the fair pricing I will highly recommend Fenwick Plumbing and if I have any future needs they will be my go to plumbing company! If you want quality workmanship and also 1 year guarantee on the job they complete you should start with Fenwick Plumbing when searching for a plumbing company.

Very disappointed. I paid 466.00 and my problem STILL exists. I called Bill Fenwick based on the online reviews I had seen. Unfortunately I know nothing about plumbing and feel I was taken. There is a blockage in my drain probably metal I was told. However the crew does not carry a camera snake on the truck. Instead they took apart my plumbing and tried to get to the issue and could not. Ran a large snake from the roof and still could not clear the outgoing line. THEN said they would come back but its another charge. Well I am broke now and still have a blockage. My husband was beyond PISSED. They were scheduled to be at my home between 9:30 and 12:30 I got a call at 11 am they were running late. They showed up at my house close to 3pm. I had planned on being at work that day .. but never made it so I lost 8 hours of work in addition to the 466.00 I paid for nothing. The crew was very nice, clean and polite, as was Brittany in the office. But that does not solve my issue with the drain. I do wish I could give a better review.

I reached out on Yelp for a plumber as water was overflowing on my washing machine drain . Last Saturday I was contacted by this company and they sent someone out, I fully expected to pay emergency rates. 2 people showed up and went on the roof to try to unclog the drain. They said they could not and needed to have a camera to find the problem to make a long story short after over $1100 and 2 large chunks of wall missing plus a 6  inch gash in my bathroom wall, I did laundry yesterday and I STILL have the same problem! Water coming from drain all over the floor. I call and some snappy lady said I would have to pay after hours rates and could not get anyone there til after 5. What the hell??? Almost 1500 later and I have the same problem I started with but now have walls ruined???? They did replace some pipes but still have the water that is ruining my floor as I am unable to move the machine. And guess what!! No one ever showed up yesterday, I waited until 1030. Might I throw in I am a single woman and a Sr citizen and can't help think this is why they took advantage of the situation.

June 30 - after speaking with Mr Bill Fenwick, after discussing what happened and did not happen to verify the original repair, he did send people out to  fix the original problem of the washing  machine discharge issue. He also send a person to fix the holes in the walls and came back twice to sand them. I am satisfied with the outcome and I will probably use them again when I run into plumbing problems. Any one can make mistakes but a good company will correct them without compounding charges. I am changing to 5 stars

After searching on here for a respectable plumbing service, I came across this company to address my leaky faucet. They responded very soon afterwards and came out in a timely manner. After telling me I needed to replace the thing, they estimated that it would cost $400 to replace a leaky faucet. The faucet itself would come from their company and would cost $250 alone. This is an insane price when I soon did a simple google search and found that a similar faucet would run for $50 online. Soon, I got a second opinion and discovered that there was a bigger problem so I had to involve the landlord. I ultimately had to cancel with Fenwick since the landlord was going to take care of it. And then a few days later, I was slapped with a $108 bill. $79 was a service charge for just coming out and an additional $29 for labor the only labor they did was swivel my faucet and told me I needed a new one. I would've been more than willing to pay for their trouble to come out but $108 is excessive. I'm sure they would've done a fine job replacing my faucet but they would've priced gouged me for it. Make sure to do your research on costs of repairs before calling this company. And make sure to clarify any costs before calling them.

Easy to get an appt.  Filled out online request late one evening and had two emails within the hour stating one directly from an individual providing a phone number if it is an emergency.  Our repair was not urgent.  I received a phone call the next morning, set up the apt for the next day.  The tech Travis showed up on time, was very friendly and very efficient.  The repair cost half the amt expected.

Plumbing had been neglected for a long time. We needed somebody to come in and resolve a bunch of issues. We got 3 quotes from various plumbers. We accepted the middle quote and the guy never showed up and never returned a call. Decided to go with Fenwick - their quote was just a little bit higher (approx 10%) but we needed the work done. They were very professional and on time. The job was more complicated than we thought and required several more trips by the plumber. They stood by their original quote, and we probably ended up saving money because of that. And we saved time, and they were nice to deal with. My old plumber wanted us to wait 2-3 weeks, my second choice never showed. Fenwick is now my first choice for any future jobs.

Disclaimer: I did not receive plumbing service from Mr. Fenwick.
I was calling many plumbers to get an estimate on a whole house re-pipe. We signed an offer after getting most of the estimates done. Mr. Fenwick called about the scheduled estimate and I apologized we already accepted an offer. However he was very professional and gave me many information over the phone even though we signed with a different plumber. If I was in need of future plumbing services, I would call them again as they came across as very polite, informative, and helpful.

I had a clogged kitchen drain -- and dreaded calling for a plumber. After trying all the store bought treatments and using the plunger -- I finally did some research using YELP and decided to call Bill Fenwick Plumbing. I would recommend Bill Fenwick Plumbing and use them again.
