Best Electricians in San Francisco, CA

Every so often you stumble across a gem, and this was one of those occasions!

I took my Santa & Cole G5 Tripode lamp here after 15 years of use and multiple falls.  It had bent legs and the socket was smashed. The shade was  also bent.  

I had taken it to another reputable repair shop a couple of years ago when it was less/differently damaged and they did a pretty poor job.

It's a very modern lamp from Spain, and you might not think Mike fixes them, since his shop is full of more traditional lamps.  

But Mike fixed it within hours - the legs, the socket, and even straightened the very large shade which I'd not been able to do myself, even though it looks simple.  And all for under $50 on a $1200 lamp.  

Finally, he's a friendly and interesting and lovely guy to talk with!

I could not recommend more highly!

Anthony and David installed ceiling fans in all of my bedrooms and were so pleasant hard working and conscientious. They were very clean too!  I would recommend Kirby to anyone who needs electrical work done on their home.

11/9/22 I had a Heating Service tune-up.

The technician arrived on time within the service window.  He wore personal protective gear in my home. He throughly explained the work performed and answered my questions.  

Jonathan was personable & professional he really provided excellent customer service.

Ross was super responsive, reasonably priced and knows his stuff! Will definitely check with him first the next time I need an electrician.

Mario installed an outdoor outlet to a new irrigation timer for us. He was easy to communicate with, arrived on time, and explained all the options we had for how the work could be done. I highly recommend.

Very professional. Called for an emergency issue. They were booked up for two weeks but were friendly and helpfully made a referral to someone else who might be able to help.

This review is little past due but I gotta say William and Owen were truly the best.  The half of the house was out of electricity where kids rooms were and I needed to be fixed quickly as possible.  The valiant home repair was the first one to respond on yelp and was able to send people to our house that day. William and Owen were very professional and very transparent with their work. They gave me detailed info on what went wrong with the circuit breaker and they fixed it quick!  William and Owen are very reliable and honest workers!!!! Definitely will be calling back if anything were to happen in future!!!

Robert is the best.  I called him around 10:30 pm after a short knocked out the power in my apartment. First he tried to talk me through finding the problem on the phone (at no charge).  Then he came over 20 minutes later and fixed everything. Turned out it was a circuit breaker that I thought I had thrown back on, but I guess I didn't push it hard enough.  He felt badly that it was such an easy fix, so he replaced the outlet that had burned out in the short. Who knew there were still 24-hour electricians???

I honestly don't get the reviews on this guy.  What kind of electrician can't count at second grade level.  As for his courtesy and responsiveness , good luck getting him to reply.  He seems lazy uninterested in all except the most $$$ heavy targets .  Yes if you got a reply and you contracted him , you paid way too much and you probably did not get work done to code.  I tested his knowledge on electrical code and he mis quoted , mid interpreted and miscounted .  Skip this guy unless you wish to be overcharged with low quality non code work.  He will run the other direction when you mention permit .  That's a sure sign of a thief

I managed to blow the power to my backyard work studio on a Friday night.  Kirk came out within two hours of my call on a Saturday morning, was friendly and helpful, and didn't laugh at me for not knowing how to reset the breaker.  The discount for mentioning Yelp was nice, too!  I would call them again if I needed any more electrical help.

Randy and his team are outstanding. They installed our massive entry way chandelier and upgraded our electrical sub-panel. Randy also updated our attic with some lighting so we could actually find the Christmas lights. Randy is very professional and knowledgeable and is very easy to work with.

Like other folks on here, I also cannot say enough good things about Edward. He is prompt, responsive, responsible, and patient. I had to install a 240V plug in my condo for a dryer, and he not only walked me through the process, but explained the specifications for the dryer models that I needed so my unit wouldn't go over the 100 amp limit. Few electricians gave me that kind of context, so I feel like Edward not only helped me with my project but made me a more educated person! Super happy to recommend him to anyone and everyone!!

i have had two interactions with Boyes Electric (once in person and once over the phone). I have found the character and expertise of this company to be top notch! Their troubleshooting skills are phenomenal.  I strongly recommend this team!

I called Mr Sattler about an electrical problem I was having. He returned my call in a timely manner even though it was over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was willing to set up an appointment to come to the house to check the situation, but first asked thorough, detailed questions explaining possible reasons for the cause of the problem. He made several suggestions which eventually led to me solving the problem!
I will be using Sattler Electrical Service for all future electrical needs!

At first, they seemed to be all right.  The man who came out identified a bad GFI and said they would have to order one, which should arrive in a day or two, at which time they'd call me.  I never got a call back and had to keep calling the main office, which said they hadn't heard anything yet from the man working on my job, who hadn't been reporting in, but they'd call me when they heard something.  Later, they told me he'd been sick, which I'm not sure if I believe.  After more calls and complaints, I got them to come out and replace the GFI about a week after the initial call.
