Best Electricians in San Francisco, CA

Bulterman Electric Electrician
Robert did an amazing job installing my home audio and video.  He set up surround sound in my huge living room, safely mounted my TV on the wall and sourced the best Audio for me to use.  He went so far as to connect everything seamlessly, and even gave me a full lesson on how to run it all!  He was very communicative, thoughtful, considerate and mindful when working with me on how I wanted to approach this project.  He left the job done with out a mess and working perfectly.  I would highly recommend Bulterman Electric over all others in the Bay Area!

Visual Comfort & Co. Electrician
As a luxury home designer, I research like crazy for the absolute high-quality lighting that will last a very long time in a client's home. I want to make sure items are timeless!

Here, you will find the BEST selections of lighting and the most HELPFUL staff ever!!! Circa Lighting is the Four Seasons of lighting stores - I don't think I'll ever find superb service and quality products anywhere else.

Our client wanted large Darlana outdoor lighting, which are very large and extremely expensive. She also wanted two fireplace mantle crystal sconces, and three picture lights. Immediately, I thought of Kate Space sconces and Chapman & Meyers cabinet picture lights - both made with quality brass. The showroom manager, Linda, was extremely helpful and provided us an extra 10% off. She took care of our needs quickly and was very knowledgeable.

Before the backordered lanterns would arrive, the electrical team realized the lanterns were too large for the patio bifold door opening that the contractors were currently building (and there was actually a code to respect in terms of height). Since they were building the opening of these bifold doors AFTER we ordered the lights, everything changed.

I called immediately to cancel, but the lanterns arrived that same day. I spoke to Jonathan and he was super helpful - we were able to order new lights that would fit and follow code for this spot. He even emailed me a variety of options that would work in our space with clickable links, which made the process much easier for me. The exchange was a smooth process and they even waived the return restocking fee as a one-time courtesy. I also spoke with Madison and she was very sweet.

Everyone here is so helpful and kind. I'm so grateful this showroom is located in the Bay Area - we are lucky!

Carlos Electrical Electrician
A Masterful Transformation - Carlos Electrical Shines Bright!

From the moment I met Carlos, I knew I had found a gem among electrical contractors. Our new house was in dire need of some upgrades before we moved in, and Carlos came to the rescue with his exceptional skills and competitive prices. I'm thrilled to share my incredible experience with Carlos Electrical!

First and foremost, we hired Carlos to install recessed lighting throughout the entire house, and boy, did he deliver! With meticulous precision, his team expertly wired and cut holes in the ceiling, transforming each room into a well-lit haven. No dark corners in sight!

But that's not all! Carlos went above and beyond by taking note of our missing ceiling fans. Thanks to his wizardry, we now have those too, complete with new wiring and switches. And talk about going the extra mile - he even noticed that our bathrooms lacked exhaust fans, and without hesitation, he had his crew install them. Can you believe it? Now, our home is more comfortable and fresh than ever before, with vents through the roof, new wiring, and switches doing their magic.

The dark pantry that seemed like a never-ending black hole? Not anymore! Carlos worked his magic again, adding a much-needed recessed light and switch that turned the space into a practical haven for all our culinary adventures.

Carlos didn't stop there - he's a true perfectionist. Every single switch and outlet got a well-deserved replacement, and he even added a touch of silicone sealant to ensure everything was secure and well-protected. Now, I have complete peace of mind!

His dedication to quality and customer satisfaction is unmatched. Carlos was not only prompt and reliable, but he also proved to be utterly trustworthy - a rare find in the industry. Plus, he was incredibly flexible with our schedule, ensuring that the work got done efficiently and seamlessly, even after the interior was freshly painted.

Needless to say, Carlos has become our go-to electrician, and we're already planning on hiring him again for some outside electrical work. With Carlos Electrical on the job, we feel confident that any project will be tackled with finesse and professionalism.

If you're in need of electrical services, do yourself a favor and reach out to Carlos Electrical. You won't be disappointed! Trust me, our home has been transformed into a bright and inviting sanctuary, all thanks to Carlos and his incredible team. Five stars don't do justice to the quality of work and the outstanding customer service we received. Thank you, Carlos Electrical, for making our house a true home!

Electric Heroes Electrician
Electric Heroes was fast to respond to my request and asked questions to better understand what we needed. They were flexible with my schedule and had a technician to us at my earliest convenience. The technician was very thorough and kind, answering any of my questions and even offering advice. He installed two light fixtures and repaired a broken outlet very quickly and the cost came in lower than I even expected. I will absolutely do business with them again.

Reasonably Honest Mike's Electrician
One of my friends who was born and raised in SF recommended Mike when I mentioned we had some electrical issues at our place. I saw that we were in his service area and emailed him explaining the three problems we were experiencing and requested a quote.

Mike replied the same day with his rates (very reasonable). He also included his COVID protocols. He was clear that he could help with two of the issues and what the process would be like, but first he wanted us to try a couple of things before he came out.

It turns out that with his recommendations, we were able to fix the problems ourselves and save the money of having him come in person. He didn't charge anything for the advice. We really appreciate how straightforward and honest Mike is. We'll definitely contact him for any future electrical needs. We highly recommend him!

Wire Tech Electric Electrician
Olvin and the Wire Tech crew delivered on my large project.

I've done a lot of big home projects but a full house re-wire and new 200 amp box was one of the most intimidating as I really don't know much at all about electric wiring. I got extensive bids from highly rated companies and these guys came low-middle of the pack there. However, I choose Olvin because of the knowledge and expertise offered were customer centric. Olvin took the time to listen, assess, and ultimately walk me through his recommendations and the whys behind them. Not a lot of the other crews did that and I personally think it's critical when taking on a big project.

What I loved:
* Thoughtful approach to the partnership
* Responsiveness
* Level of knowledge
* Willingness to ensure I was satisfied with the work
* Effort put into keep the space clean (which is no easy task give the type of job I had done)
* Human and caring element - I have a daughter and the crew took breaks during her nap time so that there was no noise. Was that in their best interest to make money by moving onto the next job ASAP... no!  They did it anyways because it's what you do to treat people well.
* Effort to ensure all commitments were met
* No nickel-and-diming: even if that meant providing a free light fixture here or there
* Delivery of results

Opportunities to make things even better:
* Promptness - it wasn't a big issue but since I was WFH and in a ton of meetings last minute schedule changes caused me some stress.
* A bit more communication on the little details

In my mind 5 stars for a major electrical project isn't about everything going perfect. That's the nature of the beast... but Olvin stayed on top of it, drove results, and ultimately earned my trust.

I highly recommend Wire Tech Electric.

TD West Electric Electrician
My folks needed to change the prong on an outlet in anticipation of a dryer installation.

I got in touch with Tom and TD West Electric by phone, and within two business days my family's project was finished.

My communication with Tom was primarily through text, as I would send pictures of the outlet and the immediate space. As a result, Tom had all the tools needed before even stopping by!

Really appreciate the prompt, professional communication and quality of work.

LHP Electrical Electrician
Look no further in trying to find an electrician.  I got an immediate response from Yong when I requested a quote and he came out the very next morning to fix our problem.  Yong was very friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to me.  He made sure everything worked before he left.  Price is reasonable too.  Definitely a pleasant experience.  Highly recommend!!!

Williams Electric Electrician
20 years ago, when my Husband and I purchased our first house in Richmond, all of the original wiring from when the house was built in 1942 was still in place. We needed a complete & significant electrical upgrade, including new GFCI outlets, added more outlets to each room, and a whole new electrical panel installed. Geoff was highly recommended to us by our realtor at Red Oak Realty (a long-standing, and well-established real estate business in the bay area). Geoff was amazing. He scoped out what needed to be done and did a major upgrade to the whole house in one day! I was impressed and grateful to say the least, especially since I had so many contractors to coordinate, some of whom would cancel at the last minute, or not arrive when they were scheduled.  Not Geoff. He was on time, reliable, honest, fast, efficient, and did excellent high-quality work.

In all of these 20 years, I have not needed or had any electrical problems or concerns, albeit PG&E power outages, etc. Fast-forward 20 yrs. to present. About a week ago, kitchen outlets above the counters and overhead lights started flickering & dimming frequently. The microwave and washing machine were making beeping sounds, when they were not being used. At first, this was intermittent - happening once every few weeks, but as of last week, the flickering, dimming, beeping, and increased outlet failures started to occur throughout the house, until finally half the house did not have power. Even the central heating in my house stopped working, and eventually washer and dryer didn't work either.

I called Williams Electric on a thursday and Rhonda answered. I explained how Geoff had upgraded and installed all the electrical in my house 20 yrs. ago, and then filled her in on what I described above. Rhonda was very helpful. She consulted with Geoff whose advice was to first seek out help from PG&E. His guess was that ...there is a loose or missing hot strand either at the pole or at the weather head... (which connects to breaker panel).

I followed Geoff's advice, and my order to PG&E I expressly asked them to check at the pole *and* at the weather head & panel. PG&E technician came to my house, and left me a written report of findings, since I wasn't home when they arrive to investigate and fix. I wrote to Geoff and Rhonda, reporting what PG&E stated, which was that there was no problem on their end and that they inspected all lines and PG&E equipment and all was in good order.

Needless to say, the next day the electronic failures were expanding throughout the home. I called Rhonda once again and was also communicating via email to Geoff. Both of them were responsive, asking pointed questions about whether the PG&E technician actually did investigate the wiring on the pole as well as wiring on weather head, near breaker panel. PG&E arrived again today. The 2nd PG&E technician assumed that his predecessor had done ALL of the work requested, since his report said that he did. The technician was defending his colleague -- certain that the technician would not have lied.  I watched as the second technician ran tests at the meter and weather head, eventually climbining the pole, fixing/repairing two wires, and the finally finding the culprit wire on the weather head itself. It was, in fact, what Geoff and Rhonda had predicted: a loose or missing hot strand at the weather head that was on PG&E's end!

In all of these phone calls and emails, both Rhonda and Geoff were cautious and thorough. It was clear that they had my best interest at stake. At any time, Geoff could have easily taken advantage of my situation - knowing how eager and vulnerable I was to get the issue resolved.  Instead, they both had measured, clear responses based on asking the right questions and listening to my descriptions. Geoff has enormous integrity and is an incredibly gifted and reliable electrician. Rhonda was extremely helpful in guiding and explaining all aspects and scope of the work involved based on the symptoms I described.

They saved me copious amounts of time and money - and gave me so much guidance, clarity, and peace of mind. Highly recommend Williams Electric. Thank you sooooo much!!

H5 Electric Electrician
I wish I could give more than 5 stars because this company deserves it!  I've always had electrical issues with my house. I've had at least 5 different professional electricians over who tried to fix my problems, said the fixed them, definitely charged me and maybe I'd have a temporary fix but it wasn't until I called H5 that EVERYTHING was fixed and /or replaced. For the first time in 14 years in this house , EVERYTHING WORKS.  They explained what was needed, showed me where the problem was and did the work. The right way! I showed them a previous invoice from the last electrician and H5 showed me brawlers and items I was charged for that were were never replaced! H5 taught me so much. I can't express enough how grateful I am . 100% satisfied and happy with the service!!!

Mopia Electric Electrician
Summary: Randy and his team were punctual, thorough, detail-oriented and got the job done at a very reasonable price.

Randy was one of the first electricians I contacted last year to install recessed lighting in our living room. Thank you Yelp for helping me find someone local! I was impressed with all of the excellent reviews. The first time I called Randy I had NO idea what would be involved in this project. Randy explained what would work best for him: I buy the lights, and he can come install everything in one day. But I had no idea what to buy. Randy also helped walk me through this info. I got a few more estimates and finally decided to go with Mopia Electric based on their excellent reviews and very fair price.

After setting a time and date with Randy, we finally got our lights installed! Randy and his assistant were punctual and thorough in scoping out the project before they got started. Randy was clear about what he would and wouldn't do: install lights and dimmer switch - yes; patch up wall - yes; repaint patched wall - no. Before I left, I saw them laying down drop cloths over our furniture and floors, which was super thoughtful! I had another team in the house installing floors and seeing Randy's attention to detail made me feel sad that the flooring installers had left sawdust on every solid surface in the home without any warning. :( Randy called my husband mid-project when they realized that support beams were blocking the original light locations we had discussed. Appreciated that he called to get confirmation and explained the situation before going ahead with it. Came home to bright, evenly spaced lights controlled by a dimmer switch. Wonderful experience working with Randy and would definitely call them again for other electric projects in the future!

Bryan Poli Electrical Contractor Electrician
Bryan came out to check on a wiring issue for me. He was super professional, fixed everything quickly, and went to extra mile in explaining what happened in laymen's terms for me. Highly recommended.

Laser and Sons Electric Electrician
These excellent guys got so few five-star reviews? LOL, they are too low profile. I'm a reator and they are so far the best I have worked with. This time, they did a smaller project for our own home.
They don't charge the cheapest ( I have quoted several good-reviewed licensed electricians), but they are not the most expensive too. Price is just one thing, the more important thing is:
1. They are super professional. Eveey details had been taken into consideration. And their crew is very clean, always clean up any mess after working day. Very polite too.
2. They are very creative. There are several non-standard problems, and they are the only person who proposed perfectly work-around solution. I like that they are sharing their much knowledge and experience with me, instead of saying simply no or doing larger disruptive project to our walls and current electrical system.
3.  Very easy to work with. The owner Gustavo is funny to talk with:) and Alfanso is very responsive, always explain to me about details and different options. And document them as much as possible to keep us on the same page. ( we change our requirements for several times)

Highly recommend if you need a professional and respectful electrician.

Tam's Electric Electrician
On a Friday night my tenant called and said that he tried to reset the breaker in the my 15amp box and sparks came out.  I called Tam at 9am on a Saturday and he was on his way from South San Francisco to my rental unit in North Beach to fix a short circuit in an hour.    Tam was easy to reach/coordinate with, reasonable and replaced a bad wire in less than an hour for $90.  I would use him again and highly recommend him!
