ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Came up through the ranks. My dad was a Painting and Decorating Contractor and general jack of all trades who taught me how to change light fixtures and build generators. I started in the Building Trades after college as a member of a group called Skilled Enterprise which was about learning and transferring skills to people for use in daily living. In 1974, I came to San Francisco and was part of a group called Mechanics United, an affiliation of electricians, plumbers, carpenters, refrigeration mechanics and others. I worked with various local contractors and independently and have become a Master Electrician. Besides the basics, I do lighting, design, EMF Testing and repair. Sattler Electric is established and has been operating successfully for many years.

Sid is the best. I have dealt with other electricians in the past, and none of them has come close to his professionalism, excellent service and good advice. My house feels safe now!

This is the electrical service to use! I contacted Mr. Sattler to put in a subpanel. Mr. Sattler gave me a very complete breakdown of the work that he felt needed to be done based on a conversation about how I would be using the subpanel in the future. This breakdown included a description of the subpanel, the code work, and time + materials pricing and labor charges. I knew exactly what I was getting into before he started. The work was finished quickly, and the crew cleaned up the basement after they completed the work. Mr. Sattler could not have been more accommodating of my schedule. We also emailed back and forth quite a bit before the work began, so that I had a clear understanding of what he felt needed to be done and what the various options were. Outstanding!

He vastly overcharged me. His estimates were based on Time and Materials, which is not acceptable for residential, and I have reported him to both the State Contractor's License Board and the District Attorney. Most of the work done was good, but maybe overkill, could have had more elegant and less expensive solutions, and he used the most expensive materials even though he knew I was on a fixed income.

Sattler Electric is shockingly prompt and responsive to my requests and needs. I sent a request for service and within hours Sid had responded and we set up an appointment. He was/is timely, professional and genuinely a nice person. I have used him in the past and will continue to work with Sid. I highly suggest Sattler Electrical. Great service and business.

I called Mr Sattler about an electrical problem I was having. He returned my call in a timely manner even though it was over the Thanksgiving holiday. He was willing to set up an appointment to come to the house to check the situation, but first asked thorough, detailed questions explaining possible reasons for the cause of the problem. He made several suggestions which eventually led to me solving the problem!
I will be using Sattler Electrical Service for all future electrical needs!

BUYER BEWARE: Illegal business practices, bait and switch, and no ethics

I hired Sid to install two 240 V electric lines in my garage, one for a water heater and one for an EV hookup. The original estimate was $3,000, final damages were $6,000, with a painful back and forth on time and materials.

Original time estimate was 2 days, job took 2 days, but somehow he magically came up with enough costs to double the cost of the job.

I didn't want to bother contacting CSLB or going through small claims court over this job, but one key lesson I learned through my research is that:

TIME AND MATERIALS JOBS ARE NOT LEGAL in California, see:
cslb.ca.gov/Newsletter/2…
This link didn't come through on Yelp the first time, so google Time and Material Contract Not Legal for Home Improvement on the California CSLB site for more info.

There, you've been warned. I've learned my lesson, but THIS is the guy that consumer protection laws were made for.

Do not engage, do not hire, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING with this clown.

I had a problem with a circuit breaker that seemed to have turned off, leaving us with no hot water in our insinkerator, and we couldn't turn it back on. I emailed Sid Sattler, who had set up our electrical system years ago, and he responded immediately, explaining how the circuit breaker worked and what we should try to do to correct the situation. We followed his advice, and it worked, eliminating the problem without his having to come out.  Such prompt and generous attention seems to us professionally admirable.  We highly recommend his electrical service.

I sought out several quotes from other electricians for a small, odd job at my place. Sid was consistently responsive, generous with his knowledge, and extremely helpful. He made time to send someone out to complete the job promptly. What others had told me would be tens of thousands of dollars became a $500 job. Will definitely be returning to Sid with other electrical work needs.

Sid was great.  He came when he said he would, which is always a plus.  He couldn't fix the problem, (busted control box on a hospital bed - not his fault), but he didn't charge full price and it was a same day call.  I would call him again if we had another electrical issue.

Backstory: My office kitchen was overloaded with appliances, multiple coffee machines, espresso machine, coffee grinders, etc., and I thought for sure we would need a new dedicated circuit or panel because the minute someone would run the dishwasher with everything plugged up, the fuse would blow at 9 am... before coffee... Not-so-happy employees.

Sid was super responsive with replying and helped diagnose the problem, offered suggestions, and guided me to try out a few things before hiring him. His suggestions worked and I can't be happier he was willing to take the time out to troubleshoot the issue with me.

I highly recommend Sattler Electrical Service. They care about what they are doing and it shows through their work and customer service.

Thank you, Sattler!

We contacted Sattler Electrical about a mysterious chirping that did not seem related to smoke detectors.  It was driving us crazy.  Sid Sattler responded immediately, and although he did not have availability in his schedule, he kept in touch over a long holiday weekend and beyond with advice on troubleshooting the issue.  Although his company could not come out, his hunch proved right.  The chirps came from a hidden carbon monoxide detector that we eventually located.  The type of follow-through and personal attention that Sid offered is rare, and it is especially rare when coupled with experience and expertise.

I rarely leave reviews but couldn't resist sharing the wonderful and highly competent work of Sattler Electric. Sid was so helpful that he suggested several remedies to me via text and of-course it worked! I was able to address the electrical problem myself. This was so welcomed since we'd been living with our stove plugged in a room several feet away by using multiple extension cords. Probably an electrical hazard in itself. He also offered to come out and check for additional issues and to find the source but without pressuring me. In this time of pandemic this was a great solution.

Go Sid! You clearly are a master electrician who knows his craft. Thanks for helping our family during a crisis time.

A gas furnace was scheduled to be installed in a week and a half.   The furnace foreman came on Friday in preparation for the work.  In the process, it was discovered that the main electrical panel had to be upgraded before the furnace installation can be done, which was about one and half week away.   Of all the electrical companies that I contacted, Sid of Sattler Electric was able to generate a proposal and got it to me Sunday morning.   Understanding my situation, he was willing to juggle his schedule to come do the work in time for the furnace installation.  Prior to the onsite work, an application to PG&E had to be completed and a permit from the City had to obtained.   Sid offered to do both to expedite the process.     I want to acknowledge Sid and his company Sattler Electric.

Sid saved my life! One by one the electrical circuits in my house were going out, and I was so afraid that there was a short, or other safety issue within the walls. Sid squeezed me in to an already full day, quickly diagnosed the probelm and fixed it then and there. So seldom do service providers focus on the needs of the customer any more, so it was an extra benefit to find Sid. Satler Electric is now at the top of my go to list, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Sid spent a lot of time messaging me about a project I am working on.  Our conversation was split into two branches in Yelp (not sure how) and I replied to the second branch.  When Sid didn't see any replies to the first branch he reached out to make sure I got his message.

Sid gave me very specific and good advice and offered to review photos of our sub panel and the project.  Turns out I was able to take care of the problem without his having to come out.  I would definitely use him with confidence if I had something else I could not take care of.

I waited a year to write this review because I was very mad at the time and wanted to cool down.  -Still mad..  I should have read the negative review on Yelp, since I can identify with most of them. There are many examples of maleficence, I am just going to list a couple here. First the travel time, they charged me 1/2 an hour each time they showed up. This was with a crew of three, about $140 each day that went to pay for them sitting in a car for a 18 min commute. They seemed to have no schedule as to when they would show up.  They showed up the first 3 days, then maybe once a week after that, we never knew when they would show up. When we would call them up and ask why the crew was not here, the excuse was always that they had an emergency to deal with and they apparently had a lot of those. They also did a lot of work I did not ask for. For example I  asked them to cut the electrical wires for a part of our house we were demolishing, then they spent all day removing all the wires in that location, even though I made it quite clear room was being demolished and to cut the wires only.  We ended up firing Sid, and having to hire a 2nd electrician to finish the job.  I would not recommend.  They also made holes way bigger than they needed too, since I was the one patching them.

Sid and his team are knowledgeable, responsive and trustworthy. Bernard came out with 2 other electricians.  They were on time, called before arriving, and confirmed the work to be done before starting. When upgrading our smoke alarms, they carefully laid tarps on the floor, wore booties over their shoes, and made sure everything was cleaned-up and back in place before they left.  Bernard took the time to explain what they had done and left instructions and warranty info for the hardware.  They came back recently to replace our motion sensor lights.  With our current social distancing situation, they wore masks and performed the work without having to enter the house. It's great to be able to call on a local, professional, conscientious, and thorough organization like Sattler Electrical.

I emailed via Yelp several electricians in the area because I wasn't clear if we needed an electrician to fix a wiring issue or a person to fix our dishwasher. Sattler not only responded within a few hours, but they were the only business that responded extensively about what the issue likely was (not electrical) and provided an alternative referral for an appliance repair business. In addition Sattler provided contact info if we needed to follow up with any questions; and gave clear rates for if we did need to hire them. Although we don't need an electrician we definitely will use them in the future if we do! It's rare that a business will be up front with you about pricing and be honest about your needs--especially if it means that they won't get your business in that instance. Because they were so knowledgeable and helpful without getting anything in return--they will
Definitely get our future business if we have electrical issues!

I called Sattler when I had an emergency that needed to be resolved within hours. His team was busy until later that day, but he took the time to trouble shoot the problem with me.  He offered a great temporary solution and when I called back to tell him I had found an electrician who was resolving the problem, he asked about the solution and suggested a corrective course of action to help avoid future issues.

Troubleshooting and Repair to Check non-working kitchen stove receptacle and repair as needed. This line item cost me $250!! Sid came out and looked at the existing wiring that needed to be hooked up to the existing outlet - it cost me $250 JUST TO LOOK AT IT so he could send me an estimate for $600 to resolve. When I told him no thanks, because the price was way too much, he said he'd allow me to put the $250 against the proposed work. I used another company and the entire job to reconnect the existing wire to an existing outlet was resolved within an hour, with a licensed company and for or less than we already paid Sid. Shady business dealings. I don't like writing negative reviews, but this happened earlier this year and I still feel robbed. And, Sid, please don't respond with some BS like I've seen on the other bad reviews. Own up to these comments and if you want to charge for your time to look at the job and develop an estimate, make it reasonable.

Called Sid at 3:30 Saturday.  I was helping a friend that had an issue with her heater not working.  After testing some things I found it may be something with the breaker panel.   Sid walked me through a few troubleshooting steps.  The PGE man noticed no electricity coming to the outlet and I told Sid and he said he will be down in a few minutes.   He came within a half hour brought a spare breaker.  He did some tests found the breaker bad replaced it and the heater turned on!  All in less than an hour!   Thank you Sid for saving my friend from being in the cold over the weekend!

Sid and his team were super!  I had three old wall mounted heaters that were old and non-functioning.  Sid's team came out, measured, identified the proper electrical stuff they needed to know, and then sent me a quote.  When the day of the work arrived, the workers showed up on time and could not have been more professional, courteous or efficient.  They started by laying floor covering where they would be walking and working and putting on shoe booties to protect my interior.  They got to work right away, letting me know what they were doing and if they needed anything.  They got done early and cleaned everything up behind them, leaving me with three beautiful new energy efficient wall heaters!  I couldn't recommend Sid and his team more!

The first time I worked with Sid his price was fair for a relatively simple job, not cheap, not expensive. So I called him again.  This time his price seemed very high for what I thought was another relatively simple job.  He said he the work would take an entire crew all day to do.  He showed up with one worker and they were in and out in a little over an hour; demanding full payment.
Some time later I spoke to a woman who related that the same scenario had happened to her with Sid: fair price at first to get in the door, then gouged the second time around.

I contacted Sid for a problem I had at home related to non-working outlets-a problem that had been fixed previously by 2 electricians before him. He provided an estimate for the work, arrived on time, and very meticulously figured out what was the problem. It was not an easy task to solve. His experience paid off. If you want to save money and take your chances with inexperienced electricians, go ahead and hire someone else. If you want an experienced professional, reliable, and with the capabilities to do the job right from the start, then hire Sid Sattler Electrical Services.

Sid was very responsive to my call, he was actually one of the 6 that I called to communicate (One other company texted me back saying he was booked at this time). Sid was upfront with the pricing and emailed my confirmation before he came out and broke down the cost. I was having problems with my production room cooling units which we determined was an electrical problem and not a refrigeration issue. Sid determined the problem for me and gave me a few options including showing me what the issue was and how to fix it. I went the route of fixing the issue myself with his guidance and help. I will be keeping Sattler Electric on file for further needs and emergencies. I had a good experience with them; good people.

We contacted Sid after I had a concern while I was installing a wall sconce on our living room.     What I thought was a ground wire seemed to register that it was carrying live current - and since I had installed the circuit (not wishing to tap into existing knob/tube circuitry) I figured maybe I had done something wrong.   So I wanted a seasoned pro to look over what I had done and either fix the problem, point out the possible source, or verify that no problem existed.

Sid was happy enough to talk to me, shared his opinion that most of the older homes in our area with entrenched knob and tube circuits in place are probably better off being rewired from scratch, then scotch taped and jury rigged together.   He quoted $300 for him to come over and take a look, and give a written evaluation/opinion of the situation.

Sid came over, I met him at the driveway, by the time we were at my door we were already talking 30k for a total rewire - twice I reminded him that really I was most interested in the ground issue that had inspired me to seek him out.  In the hour he was in the house, Sid spent less that ten seconds looking at the errant circuit - he spent most of the time showing me where the new electrical boxes would go - and a fair amount of time telling me that I had no business touching anything to do with our electric system.

I'm writing this more as feedback to Syd - no malice of any kind intended.   I'm pretty sure he is a master of his craft and has seen so many of these old Oakland houses that. he probably doesn't even need to look to see what is lurking behind the plaster.

That said, I'm a NEW ClIENT with a very clearly articulated question/concern gladly agreeing to pay 300 dollar for a one hour consult with a professional in the field - my expectations were mismanaged when I received a proposal for 100x the cost of the consult, to do a huge project, and nowhere was the original problem I enquired about in the firSt placed even mentioned.   Basically I spent 300 and ended up with a bid for 30k and no answer to my original question.

I guess I expected to be shown WHERE the danger lurked inside my attic - WHY it would be neccessary to rip out stuff that has been working for decades - shown stats of local electric fires caused by similar accidents waiting to happen that finally happened: I needed to be TOLD - not SOLD.  And finally, my original concern, about the ground wire , should have been looked at, measured to verify, and at least some consideration and conversation around why it could be happening.   Anyway, the things above are simply what happened, I'm not presenting them to cause Sid any problems - just a reflection of how it felt to be a potential customer for that brief hour we spent together and why I decided to go in another direction.   I don't know how many stars here - he is a pro - no doubt - It may be that he is just too much of a pro and that he sometimes forgets what it feels like to be customer on the other side of these conversations.

Sid came by and gave us an hour and half estimate that came to triple what my normal electrician charges. According to Sid, The solution to our question was a complicated and expensive fix. We declined the proposal at the initial meeting and waited for our regular guy, who effected a much simpler fix for 1/3 the cost.
What really bothered me about Sid was that he charged us $150 to stand there and listen to his hour and half bid for over $1800 for a small run of conduit. Won't call him again!

Our hero - Sid might be the nicest guy ever. The outlet our water heater is plugged into went out, which resulted in no hot water on a Sunday morning. On top of that, my baby daughter is sick. I appreciated the very professional service. Sid Sattler took the time to trouble shoot with me over the phone to see if we could avoid the trip out, and when it didn't do the trick he worked with my schedule and came within the timeframe agreed upon. I didn't meet Sid himself, he sent his very pleasant and capable electricians out- Mic and Mica. They walked me through where the problem was, and what to do next time. The cost of service was sent beforehand, so no surprises. I highly recommend these guys.

Sid quoted me a price of ~$3,500 when he came and looked at the work to be done. Then 10 days later, he sent me a formal estimate of $4,500 to $6,000; which would include: $115/hour/person to drive to the job site! AND $115/hour/person to pick up necessary supplies! AND Sid would charge me 10% more than he pays for these supplies! AND $115/hour/person to haul anything away! No way! A friend of mine had the same experience, Sid quoted her one price upon seeing the work to be done, then a price thousands of dollars higher in a formal estimate based on time and materials So don't wasted your time and energy with Sid Sattler.

See Sid's responses to all the other 1 and 2 star reviews (most of which have been removed since I originally posted my review). In each case Sid just denies and negates the negative, but valid, reviews. My conclusion remains:  Don't waste your time and energy with Sid Sattler.

Quite simply...Sid is awesome!

While moving into our new home, one of the movers shorted out the clothes dryer circuit 6:30 Thursday evening. I called and left a message for Sid saying it wasn't that important (we thought it would be nice to wait a few days after the move before worrying about laundry) and he could wait to return my call until Monday. 15 minutes later he the phone rang and Sid talked me through fixing the problem myself! After reading the rave reviews for Sattler on Yelp, I decided to give them a try.  It was a shockingly expensive experience, and while the men working in my house were polite and professional, the amount I ended up paying was WAY more than I ever anticipated.  So far, their work has held up.

The bid I received gave me an ambiguous quote, for Progress, attached to a list of all the work that needed to be completed in our house.  I asked for clarification, and believed that the amount quoted would cover the jobs listed. In my past experience dealing with electricians, the bid given always fell close to the end amount due.  If I wasn't experiencing an outage that took out my internet and television, leaving me feeling totally disconnected, I would have waited for my regular electrician to be available. But, it was sort of urgent in my mind.  I understand that much of the work reveals itself once a project is started, but my final bill came out to be almost twice the given number without any unanticipated problems, and without touching a couple of the jobs listed.  Imagine 2.5 days of work substituting for a family vacation.  Holy cow.  Sid was very matter-of-fact, like, clearly, I had not understood his cryptic proposal. (???) His  verbose explanation did little to bring light to his bidding and billing practice.

Also, without any notice, Sid expected to receive a check for thousands of dollars at the end of each day, and was aggressive in his follow-up for final payment, as I was not home to write a check the last day of their work.  I reluctantly paid the full amount due, and chalked it up to listening to my gut next time and sticking with the guys I already know.  I wrote Sid a long email explaining my dissatisfaction, mentioning that I was left feeling duped and sucker-punched, and heard NOTHING in response.  So much for his concern for customer satisfaction.  So, for the first time ever, I am writing a review on Yelp, hoping to save anyone else from Sattler Electrical Service.

I hired Sattler Electrical in the summer of 2011 to rewire the attic in my 1944 Alameda house and bring it up to code, and to do some rewiring in the detached garage.  Sattler said he preferred to work on a time and materials basis rather than quote me a price for the work.  It was ungodly expensive.

Since that time I have had have now had two different electricians up in the attic again (in 2012 and in July 2013) to redo work that Sattler Electric was supposed to do in the first place.  Sattler's crew cut a lot of corners in the attic where I was unlikely to look, and where as it turns out the city inspector did not bother to look either.

There were six inches of exposed wire near where the service lines come into the house, the junction boxes were not done properly, and wires were stapled hastily to the joists and covered over with insulation to hide what had been done, rather than using stringers or running the line through the joists per code.

I was charged for time on the phone with Sid Sattler discussing the work to be done, charged travel time in both directions for the crew from their Oakland shop to my Alameda home, actually charged for time in Sattler's shop when his crew was restocking their truck after my job, and I observed one member of the crew picking stray bits of wire up with his fingers on the clock one at a time rather than just using a broom to do the task quickly and efficiently.  Unbelievable.

When I complained to Sattler about the most absurd of the above charges, he refused to compromise on any of it.  I paid him off to be done with it, and have spent another $1,000 since then having work redone properly.  Buyer beware.

I recently had a project completed by Sid and his team, and it was different enough from my previous project that I felt it was worth updating my review to describe the experience.

Sid came out to estimate installing some deck lighting, and was more polite, professional and informative than I had ever expected. I had a ton of questions regarding the installation process, and acquiring the necessary permits, and he alleviated all of my concerns. Sid was able to take care of all my permit needs, and the installation went extremely smoothly and everyone showed up right on time. The crew was very respectful of my place, and was able to install the lights with a minimal amount of holes in the walls.

Overall my experience with Sattler Electric was great, and I will be going to them for any future electrical projects I may have.

Just bought a house in Oakland from a flipper.  While many nice details were attended to, the house had no cable lines and needed additional lighting and other electrical work to suit our needs.

Based on Yelp reviews we gave a few shops a call.  Sattler was responsive and prompt, and gave us a detailed estimate of a long wish list. We agreed on a first round of work, and again the crew were prompt, and as questions arose - as they always will - during the day they laid out the possibilities and we chose a way forward.  The work left us with several nasty holes in the wall, and they arranged for a plasterer to come out the next day to patch them.  They even called us that day to ensure the patches had been done.

Th bill squeaked in under the upper range - electrical work ain't cheap! - but again they answered my nitpicking questions, it all made sense, and so we paid the final bill.

If you know someone who knows someone and can get a low rate for your electrical, I'd say give it a try; but if you don't and you want prompt, professional work, call Sattler - prompts, communicative, professional.

We are a rip off artist's dream come true. And if some electrician told us we needed to rewire or do something drastic, we would've been hosed. We had three electrical problems. The lights would not come on all the way in our daughter's room. The bathroom lights stopped working. And the living room lights stopped working. We flipped all the circuits and nothing helped. We called Sid, he explained their charging, and promised he would send someone out the following morning. They came on time and it turned out to be as simple as hitting the reset button in the bathroom, replacing a bulb in our daughter's room, and replacing a dimmer switch. We paid the minimum and that was that. Thank you Sid.

Sid was busy, but he gave me helpful advice I could do on my own to narrow down the cause of my power failure. The electrician I ended up using said it was good that I did my homework so he could quickly determine the root of the problem and saved me money. Thanks, Sid.

Micah and Bernard did a great job of replacing old wiring.  I was so impressed with how thorough and professional they are.  Starting with laying out drop cloths from our front door to the basement, and then doing a very neat job showing as little of the cable as possible.  They left the area cleaner than it was when they started.

I called Sid with what seemed like a mysterious problem and he called me back, at the dinner hour, and solved the problem -- by phone! Best of all worlds -- problem solved, lights back on, no charge for the callback. Thanks Sid!

Sid is great! He responded to my voicemail very quickly. We discussed my electrical issues and he gave some wonderful insight for trouble shooting before I call him for service to my home. He really knows his stuff and I look forward to using him for my next electrical needs. Thanks, Sid!

The high winds in Oakland on the evening of November 1, 2011 caused my weatherhead and service box to get knocked out. I was without power even after PG&E connected their line.

I called Sid Sattler and he promptly came out to look at the work, explained the problems and how they could be fixed in a way I could understand, gave me a written quote/estimate, breaking down all the components and did the work quickly and well.

His crew was hard-working, professional and clearly took pride in their craft. I always felt as though I was in good hands; that the work would be done well and the price would be fair and understandable. As a person who knows little about electrical things, this meant a great deal.

All the problems were fixed, the work was OK'ed by PG&E and the cost was the same as the quote. In addition to the good work, Sid is reachable. If you have a question or a problem, you can call or email him and he will respond quickly.

I will use Sattler Electrical Service again - only I hope I won't have to.

I was very appreciative of Sid Sattler's services.  He was very knowledgable and easy going and I was able to get all of my questions answered.  He even went above and beyond general service by calling me back later to discuss issues in my electrical foundation.  I would refer Sid to anyone.

I called Sattler and briefly explained my problem to the office manager. Micah, one of the electricians, promptly called me back. He helped me troubleshoot my problem over the phone and in this case was able to solve the problem without making a house call. I was very impressed and offered to pay for the technical help but he refused saying just think of us in the future.
I surely will.

We had some minor electrical work that needed to be completed: a GFCI plug for the back porch, and repairs to a bad circuit breaker that controls the hot tub. Sid was very prompt in returning my initial call and then coming out to have a look at the work.  He also noticed that our sub-panel, which had been done by another contractor, needed some adjustments made.  His made a reasonable quote for all of this and we agreed to the work.

It took a couple of weeks for a crew to become available, which was fine; we were in no huge hurry. It's always a good sign when a business is busy and not idle. Sid sent a two man crew, Mike & Sam, who were very efficient, professional, and courteous.  They knocked out the work quickly and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly.

We now finally have a plug for the back porch and juice to the hot tub so that we can start using it again. I look forward to working with Sid and his company again for future projects. I highly recommend him.

We've used Sattler Electric multiple times over the years to get various electrical work done on our house.  They are professional, prompt and reasonably priced.  They gave me options for the repairs we needed and came up with a much lower cost solution that I anticipated.  I'm very satisfied with their work and service and plan on using them again for any electrical work that we need.

My wife & I have used Sid and his team 3 times now, and they are great. The job is finished on time, the clean-up is thorough, and he actually returns your calls! They have worked with us on a couple of tricky lighting projects, and we are very happy with the results. Recommended!

We came back from an emergency trip out of state tired, stressed out, and needing to catch up on work. Plugging our computer in, 75% of the electricity in our house blew - on a Saturday night at 8 p.m. Now we were tired, stressed out, needing to catch up on work, AND panicked. Never having had an electrical problem, we had no idea who to call but we obviously needed this to be taken care of as soon as possible. We called an electrician we found in the phone book and they wanted $200 an hour, with a one hour minimum, to come check it out. Also, they didn't have the part they thought we needed based on the description of the problem so the earliest they could come would be Sunday. That really wasn't going to work. From there we called Sid and it's a good thing we did. He picked up the phone himself immediately on a Saturday night and methodically talked my husband through the issue which led to us learning that we had a faulty power strip which saved us a lot of time and money, not to mention our sanity. The next time we need electric work done, I know exactly who we're calling - service that good is hard to come by so I'd recommend you check Sid out as well.

Sid called me back ASAP. I told him about the electrical encounter I had in my living room. He gave me some advise Over the Phone on what to look for in my circuit breaker box and my problem was solved. He did not have to come to my house. He did not waste my time or try to take my money. I really appreciate his honesty and integrity. Call Sattler if you are having any type of electrical problems they are your guys!

Sattler Electrical Service is an excellent choice for an electrical contractor. They responded quickly to bid the work, asked good questions and provided an accurate and timely response. Scheduling was easy and they arrived on the appointed day and time they promised.  Our kitchen lighting work was accomplished inside of a day with a minimum of fuss and clean up. They also arranged for a plasterer to come in the following week to patch any holes required to complete their work. Altogether an outstanding effort.

I will definitely use them again.  I consider Sid and his crew to be experts in the field.  They really know what they are doing.  They came into my home and did a lot of code work and cleaned up the mess that another guy left me with.  The friendly three man crew works very efficiently and left my home clean at the end of the day.  Micah is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions about what was going on with the wiring in my home.  Although I have a little work left to be done, I feel much safer knowing that I hired the best electricians this time around to do the job right the first time.  Passed inspection with flying colors. If you are not sure who to hire - call Sid Sattler for an assessment.  I can guarantee you  won't be sorry!

Recently two electrical outlets in my kitchen stopped working; I replaced all the fuses, checked the circuit box outside and reset the circuit breakers, still no luck. I called Sid and explained the problem, Sid quoted me a price and told me to check the problem again to try and save some money. On the third inspection of the circuit box I noticed that the circuit was indeed tripped and was able to reset it and fix the problem. Most electricians would have simply come over and fixed the problem no questions asked, but I appreciate the honesty and integrity of Sid. I now know who to call when I have a serious problem.
