LC Doctor Plumber

I am glad I found LC Doctor Plumber here on Yelp.
I had an overflow pipe coming out of my tankless water heater which was deteriorating.
Leo from LC Doctor Plumber came out and told me it was because the
condensation from the tankless is acidic.  I had never heard such a thing, but
I double checked it -- and he was right!
Leo installed a neutralizer which neutralizes the acid and makes it compatible with my pipes.  The price was reasonable, and he exceeded my expectations (he installed a bypass pipe in case the neutralizer gets clogged and an indicator to tell me if it does).
All in all, I am very happy with his work and will use LC Doctor Plumber in
the future.

Leo was great!
He arrived as promised. Professional, thorough, friendly and presented very neat. He explained everything he was doing and did and didn't leave our home until he showed us everything was complete. Cleared a bathroom sink clog and serviced our tankless water heater. Leo was knowledgeable and I would surely recommend this business and will use them again for our plumbing needs.

This encounter began with a leaking spout and leaking faucet handles.  The repair was two faucet handle stems and a bathroom sink cold valve replacement cause the previous valve was stuck in 'on/open' position no matter how it was turned.  He didn't make a mess of water spilling all over.  He had all the needed parts with him.  He demonstrated integrity with the pricing.  Pricing was flat rate/job based, not hourly.
At 10+ years, he advised the entire faucet set was too old and too corroded with our SoCal hard water.   Nonetheless, he got the water to flow and the leaks to stop but we'll be calling him back to install new bathroom sink faucet sets once we find new ones!

I've been using this company for the past two years and love their service. The owner Leo is very friendly, skilled, and reliable. LC Doctor is the primary plumber for our rental properties. I say primary because they are highly sought after so on occasion I've had to call  elsewhere but LC Doctor is always our first call. They operate with integrity are knowledgeable and congenial. They make it a point to educate us on the work that is being done by explaining the what and the why to insure we have a clear understanding. The only problem is I need the team to be cloned for our LA & Inland Empire properties. Thank for always providing us with five star service LC Doctor.

We were experiencing hot water fluctuations with our tankless water heater. Everything as a homeowner I tried to troubleshoot didn't correct the situation. Tired, frustrated, and out of ideas we turned to yelp to find a local plumber to help us with our dilemma. We didn't realize how many plumbers don't work on tankless water heaters. Then we came across Leo at LC Doctor Plumber. He's local and has knowledge in tankless water heaters. He rolled in before our scheduled appointment time and got started trying to diagnose our problem. He went through his diagnostic procedures all the while including myself in his procedures. After persistent diligence he came up with a solution to remedy our situation. Leo is a godsend and reasonably priced. He will be our new go to plumber for any of our plumbing issues. Anyone I know that is in need of a plumber will get Leo's phone number from me.

Leonel and his team came out on a short notice to help me convert my gas fire pit to natural gas. Very patient and honest. I can recommend.

I was surprised and utterly pleased with Lionel, at LCDoctor Plumber, Inc. I was expecting a plumber who would try to upsell me on an expensive solution to my desperate need. Not so with Lionel. After taking a deep internal camera into my ceramic main line sewer drain, and an acoustic locator as to where the obstruction was below the surface in my front lawn, Lionel was able to tell me where the obstruction was, how deep it was and the least expensive way to solve the problem. He informed me on the long term certain more expensive choice, but also the least expensive way, short term but solid answer to solve it using my handyman. He was generous, kind, clear, experienced and at a reasonable rate. He is calm, not alarming and tenacious to help the people lucky enough to have him help them with a plumbing problem. I can most passionately refer this plumber for his skill as well as his character.  

Lionel came to me during an emergency overflow from my toilets.
He was on time, thorough, extremely knowledgable (after 16 years doing plumbing),
and reasonable about the risks and the choices I was faced with. He suggested the least expensive route, the cost of each plumbing part, the fiberglass method to the polyurethane pipe. He was careful not to break my already cracked and root ridden 93 year old ceramic pipe, while shark snaking to try to clear any roots so that I could clear my sewer line and breathe relief. He took it as far as he could, hoping to buy some time for me, enlarge the encroached diameter and provide a short term solution. He took it up to the bend in the pipe where the camera and the snake stopped. That is when he recommended the next step. A 4' X 7' square hole, 5.5' deep, cut the pipe, remove the roots in the area, use the camera again to see how far the root stretched and remove them, put in new pipe with connectors, and that should solve the problem. If not, the more expensive polyurethane and fiberglass method might have to be chosen. He explained to me every step. It was so refreshing and took some of the nervous burden away.

I was very happy with his service and expertise. I can easily recommend him to others.

BEWARE of this plumber! ...We exchanged several posts about my two plumbing jobs. My home is in Redondo Beach and it is a very short drive from his Gardena location.  BUT...he gave me '3'different prices for the same job! And when I asked him if he does free estimates like his Yelp ad offers... he said 'YES.' ... A few minutes later I texted him a photo of a video inspection tool I have to simplify the diagnosis of the leaky toilet.....I asked him if he wanted to use my video inspection tool or if he had his own? He didn't reply to that. ... Then I ask him to come over for the free evaluation and ... suddenly... he's busy for the next two weeks. BUYER BEWARE!

Leo is very responsible and careful with every step. His charge is also very nice based on his technic.

Leo and his teenager son did a great job to unclog a tough toilet blockage. They had snake it from up on the roof due to the lack of a clean out point. Very friendly, professional and helpful. As a homeowner, I highly recommend LC Doctor to fix your plumbing and sewer problems!

Our water heater pilot kept turning off today, so I requested a few quotes on Yelp. Leonel was the first to respond with an offer to come the same day with a free estimate of my issue. He and his son Carlos arrived at the time he said he would and spent a full hour assessing the problem. My water heater started working normally without any issues once they arrived (of course!), so there was nothing to really fix tonight, however he offered to follow up with me in the event the tank caused us issues again. So although I can't review any work actually done, my review is based more on the responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism and knowledge, all which made me feel like I could really trust them in the event we needed repair in the future. We talked about possible ways to fix the issue if it happened again, including how to best maintain your water heater and other best practices. I really appreciated his knowledge, patience and explaining possible causes and solutions.

Leo and Carlos are super friendly and if I need plumbing or heater repair in the future I am definitely going to call them.

Had a sewage back up and needed same day service to snake the our line. Lio was available and showed up on time,. He verified the problem and got to work right away. Cleared the line and snaked the line an additional time for good measure. Check both toilets and drains after 5 flush runs and running the water. Even ran a camera to check the line since we were first time customers. No hidden costs or tried to sell us on additional work. Good honest plumber! High recommend!

Leo and son came and helped me when I was in a jam . Water heater went out , and called LC Doctor Plumber .  Leo found time to come give me a diagnostic review. A FREE  one!  Others quoted me 40.00 - 199.00 dollars .  After 15 years so decided I wanted a new one.  Next day  he arrived on schedule and did a nice clean Jhon !  Thanks , Leo and don!!!

Had my main sewer line backed up on a weekend. LC Doctor Plumbing responded, cleared the line and ran camera to determine the cause. Video shows tree roots on every 4ft clay pipe run to the street. They advised to replace the line or this blockage is going to happen again. Leo explained to me the new technology of doing trenchless pipelining. The technology cuts the repair time in half or more. He checked my main line under the crawlspace and found the dirt wet, suspecting the line under the house also compromised since they were cast iron pipe (house built in 1952).  I also had him put a pressure regulator on my main line since my water pressure is very high. His crew including his son (forgot his name) were very polite. They checked in and out with us and even let us know if they were going out for lunch.

I highly recommend LC Doctor Plumber for your plumbing needs. I'm sure it will meet your expectations as it exceeded mine. Leo, please extend my appreciation to your crew and especially to your son. You guys are the BEST!!

Leo and team were very professional and courteous.  At first, I was little skeptical about the limited number of yelp reviews but quickly realized that this was a relatively new business and that Leo had 15+ years of experience under his belt. After the work, I can totally understand why the reviews have all been 5 stars!

Leo provided a free inspection of our pipes and sewage line. They were honest and took the time to explain the need to replace our sewer line before it became a major issue. At no point do I feel they were pushing us to do something beyond what was necessary. We had major tree root damage throughout our old pipes.

Leo explained they could use trenchless sewage line repair to keep the digging/unearthing and thus cost to a minimum. We did some comparison estimates and Leo's was very fair.  What stood out was the attention to the customer and willingness to work with us and around our schedule.

For the actual job, the work was done by a hardworking and polite crew and was completed in the time committed. For the 3 day job, they were always on time each day and were gladly willing to explain what they were doing and the next steps. Transparency is very important to me. His team also went above and beyond to ensure nothing was damaged, the work area was thoroughly cleaned and things were put back exactly how it was before.

Now I have peace of mind for many years to come as well as a trustworthy local plumber for any future plumbing related repairs! I was 110% satisfied with the experience in working with LC Doctor.  Thank you some much to Leo and team!

I highly recommend LC Doctor Plumbers! I was extremely impressed from the very first text conversation over Yelp, to the moment they thoroughly cleaned up and left our kitchen spotless after completing the job. They scheduled us quickly, and showed up right on time. They were absolutely professional, courteous, and knew exactly what they were doing and treated our house as if it were their own. We initially reached out to LC Doctor Plumbers to replace a kitchen sink faucet, however they also noticed that our garbage disposal was leaking. Without even asking, they offered to run down to Home Depot to pick up the proper materials needed to fix it! These guys truly go above and beyond!!

Our water heater was old and located in an awkward location of the house. Leo came to provide a quick no-nonsense estimate. On the day of the replacement, he was polite and completed the job within the day. His performed quality work at a reasonable price, so I would recommend him for future work.

The team came right away based on my need to repair a running toilet. They performed the service promptly and answered all of my questions. Much appreciated and would recommend!

We recently had to replace two toilets and we turned to LC Doctor. Leo and Sam were punctual and wore masks and shoe coverings without my having to even ask. They explained everything in such great detail and did a fantastic job. They were also very accommodating to my  son, who was napping, and made sure to be as quiet as possible. Couple of years ago, on 10-14-2019, I had
an emergency gas leak at my rental. The city had turned off the gas because of a leak.  
My handyman and Plumber was not be available.  Out of desperation I had this company run by Lionel Castaneda. He wanted to charge me $2300 and I talked him down to $1600. He replaced one hose. I really thought that was excessive so after some time later I asked my plumber and he said...a job like that in an emergency case the normal charge is $500 at the most.
I will never use LC Doctor Plumbing again run by Lionel Castaneda.

PS - I have been meaning to post this for quite some time but I had lost his information.

We noticed there was a possible leak above our garage. Within the same day, LC came to assess if it was a plumbing issue or structural. After determining it was indeed a plumbing issue, we had him go ahead to locate and repair the leak. He was very transparent about what he was doing and why. Because of wood beams obstructing the view from inside, he determined he would need to go outside through the stucco. Because we have an HOA, we asked if he could wait until we notified them and went ahead and made an appointment for him to come the next morning. He arrived right at the appointed time and found the leak right away. I was very satisfied with the work done and his price was very fair.

He was upfront from the beginning that he would only be able to identify and repair the leak and referred us to another company for the water damage repair and patching the stucco. I was happy for his honesty and the referral and I was glad he also notified us to check with our home insurance regarding the water damage.

I would recommend LC to anyone I know personally and would consider consulting them again for any future plumbing projects or issues.

Leo was great, did an awesome job installing our faucet and bidet. Courteous, professional, high quality work, and he and his crew were excellent about safe practices (masks, distancing etc) during the pandemic. I won't hesitate to call him again.

Leo and Sam are amazing! I would 100% recommend this company. I hired LC Doctor Plumer originally to inspect my leaking shower. They checked and found the problem is not plumbing. They gave me free advice on how to fix it and did not charge me. I hired them back to install the whole house water softener and filter. They provided a reasonable estimate and did the job PERFECTLY!! They did not mind taking time to make sure every aspect of the installation is correct. The work in my backyard looks very organized and pretty. They even guided me through the smart phone water softener app download and user instruction. The company is honest & professional. They are absolutely the best. My commercial water heater had a problem with the pilot lamp and most of other companies just recommended to get new water heater ($3500-4000), but Leo is very honest and fixed it very quick. Only $225. Such a help during this tough time. I was little nervous because they didn't have any review on Yelp, but he told me he has 15 years experience and just started his own company. I'm glad I can give them first 5 star review. Thanks Leo and his team. I definitely recommend them.

My hot water heater went out. They responded to my request for a free estimate in a timely manner. They did a thorough examination. Luckily my water heater was under warranty. They went beyond service and went to pick up the New water heater and installed it right away.

LC Doctor plumber is awesome. Leo is a total professional. I gave him a call at he was at my doorstep within 45 min. My plumbing was backed up and he snaked and cleared my drain. Leo was able to give me a quote over the phone before coming out. His prices are really fair and Leo was very thorough and answered all my questions.
