Reviews
I had them come install a new kitchen sink today. Plumber was here in less than 30 min. Lalo did and excellent job. Was kind and friendly. The lady that helped me when I called was very nice as well. Good price too. Highly recommend!!
I have used this company in the past to clear drains and like their timeliness and professionalism. I then went to use them for a more difficult issue with my overflow drain and will NEVER use them again. The issue was offered to be fixed for $200 which is close to the price they charge for coming out ($165-$185) even though they were already there (fine just get it done). They cut into my wall and then weren't able to access the spot they needed so the plumber proceeded to try to fix it via a mickey mouse fix from the front of the drain. This solution wasn't even offered to me prior to cutting into the wall.
Behind the wall they found backboard which they didn't want to cut into, so then were going to work on fixing it from below (which was already open at the time they did the mickey mouse fix). The mickey mouse fix didn't work but she still charged me for it.
Connie (the owner) is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. She said I should feel lucky that she is even giving me the name of the drywall guy after I asked her for a week for it. When I was asking my questions about trying to understand why they are going to fix it from a spot that was already opened NOW that the mickey mouse fix didn't work and why they didn't do that from the beginning her response led with 'OMG this is so frustrating'. Wouldn't use this company. Had another company come out after my friend cut into the backboard and they fixed it quickly and easily.
I'm usually in support of women owned companies but not one where the customer is treated like this.

Great, fast, knowledgeable and reasonable rates. Would definitely recommend and plan on calling them again in the future.
So a couple years after Connie did the work on a sewar line that she said needed to be fixed (for $1800) under the house (it wasn't blocked, she said from looking at it that it wasn't installed properly and would clog up eventually), the line ended up clogging up. She hadn't done all the important plumbing work and just installed a couple new junctions at a very high cost. It should have only cost a couple hundred dollars and if she was concerned about the line and it clogging, she should have installed a clean out, which I had to pay to have installed later when the line she supposed fixed did clog.
Generally, she will find issues in your plumbing that aren't issues. She overcharges with a fixed quote and explains that there's a ton of work, but her workers are done in an hour or two. She also was supposed to move a gas line and paid a deposit and when the LA Gas company called to move the line, she was unavailable and wouldn't refund my $750 deposit.
1) Always get a second or third quote. For small jobs, most plumbers will quote over the phone or text.
2) For bigger jobs, get a written quote. NEVER GIVE A DEPOSIT.
3) Be suspicious of additional work any contractor suddenly finds when they're giving a quote.
4) Email or text to communicate so you have a record of the work and the job. Take before and after photos.
5) Ask for a warranty in writing.
I cannot say enough good things about Connie! She helped us deal with a very tricky plumbing repair a few years ago and I have relied on her ever since. Yesterday - in the midst of the holidays and with house guests - I had an unexpected plumbing disaster with water dripping through a light fixture because of what turned out to be a broken pipe from a bathroom above. Though Connie was totally booked, she answered my SOS at 8 am and found another colleague to help within two hours. Today, Connie made herself available to help my daughter diagnose a kitchen back-up issue and again was able to get her the help she needed rapidly and professionally.
Professional, communicative, I can't say enough good things. Connie and her team are excellent at educating clients and looking out for people's welfare. American Drain Works saved me over $2,000! Lalo on the job was fast and explained everything. Don't shop around, avoid all the scammers out there and call Connie!
I highly recommend American drain works! We were quoted 2500 for a job of stuff that didn't need to be done by a plumbing company - basically a scam. Connie and the crew Tomas and Lalo came in and gave us an HONEST assessment of what needed to be done and we were charged $300. Thank you for being honest!
Connie is an exceptionally nice person. When you hear her friendly voice, there's a good chance that you'll not only want to hire her; you might also want to invite her over for dinner.
Connie called me back despite being booked solid, gave me the name and number of another plumber she trusts, and let me know exactly what I should say in order to quickly convey what was needed.
When I first called the office, another treat I encountered was the opportunity to talk to a friendly receptionist instead of a voicemail recording. It's a warm and friendly way to do business.
None of the other busy people I called were nice enough to make a recommendation. So while I cannot rate American Drainworks for fixing my plumbing, I can certainly write about the pleasant experience of interacting with Connie and her staff, and the wonderful way in which they do business.

We had a major leak in a water line connection in the parking area of our 9 unit condo. Connie was instrumental in finding the right valve which was difficult to find to fix the problem, and the repair was able to be completed. I recommend her highly!

We needed a plumber to come by and find a gas leak behind a wall. The personable Connie at American Drainworks & Plumbing clearly explained the process ... it turns out that Connie is the boss AND a licensed plumber! She got us booked in pronto, and Lalo and Tomas arrived right on time and got to work. Lalo, too, explained clearly what needed to be done -- and they fixed the leak with minimal fuss, time, and money. Aside from their professionalism, these guys are SUPER nice people! As we said to Connie: It was no fun being told by the gas company that we had a leak behind a wall. That's pretty stressful! But it was worth it, to find you guys for the future. Wouldn't call anyone else.

Our kitchen sink backed up causing the garbage disposal to not work and Carol was immediately responsive and got someone out to take care of it within a few hours. It is our second time working with American Drain Works and they have consistently delivered prompt and quality results. While I hope to not need a plumber again soon, we will definitely call Carol again if we do.
Connie is fantastic and I can not recommend her and American Drain Works enough! Our sewer line broke and they came out promptly and repaired everything in one day! She is extremely knowledgeable and professional as is her team. She was super communicative and walked us through the entire process and did the repairs perfectly and gave us a warranty too.
If I could give Connie and her team 10 stars on here I would! I will definitely be calling her ANYTIME I have a plumbing need and you should too.
Very similar negative experience detailed in other reviews. Connie goes into full sales mode and earns your trust/confidence, but completely left me in the lurch when it came to the crunch of providing the estimate. I had wanted to work with her and delayed giving an answer to other contractors only to be told at the very last minute that they had another job (despite me telling her from day one the time window I had). Don't do business with her and call someone else first.
I had some issues with a prior plumber that this company had who had over charged me for a simple service, but the owner had called me and rectified the issue. I greatly appreciate their attentiveness to their customers.

I've now used American Drain Works twice. Both times they were extremely professional and easy to work with. The team at HQ handles your requests with white glove treatment. The team that comes out to your house is always very punctual, communicative and knowledgeable. This past time we have Lalo come out to replace a shower cartridge and he did a wonderful job!!!
Frank fixed my clogged drain and charged a reasonable price. I also asked him for quotes for two other jobs - for one job he determined that there actually wasn't a problem, and for the other job he found a simpler fix than I expected. We would definitely hire American Drain Works again.

Until we met Connie at ADW, we'd had a very bumpy road addressing our house's sewer pipe issues--including a company that sent a truck to hydrojet the pipe, discovered they couldn't complete the process due to cracks in the pipe, and STILL charged us a grand for the truck. Yes, they'd already camera-inspected the pipe. No, I have no clue how they didn't see the issue before bringing the costly truck. Anyway! Connie instilled complete and total confidence in us right away, and we knew we could trust everything she was saying. She was very clear and communicative, and always wanted to make sure we understood what was happening and why. She was a pleasure in every way, and her team is top-notch. You're in great hands with her, I couldn't recommend American Drain Works highly enough.

We bought our home 3 yrs ago and have had one plumbing incident after another. I can say from experience it is *so* hard to find an honest, professional, and skilled plumber. Frank from American Drain Works checks EVERY box. We are so thankful we found Connie and her team at American Drain Works. We have added them to our speed dial. I highly recommend!
You can tell by speaking with Connie that she is absolutely the best in her field. She exudes competence and excellent energy, and that's exactly why I'm happy to refer her to my clients! Her experience and her reviews all speak for themselves. This is her field!
I am updating my previous recommendation because, well, when someone does great work, it needs to be said. Here are all the things Connie and her team have fixed in our house:
1. A HUGE project fixing our water line from our house to the street. This is work we didn't expect and it meant we would have to go without water, at all, for weeks. Connie's team got it done very quickly, working way outside of normal work hours to finish it for us.
2. Our gas levels were low - The gas company could not figure it out so they shut our gas off and left us with no idea how to fix. We called Connie! Connie came out, investigated everything and got it fixed.
3. We brought our new baby home and our sinks backed up. Connie came over at 7 PM and fixed them, at no charge,
4. And last night our toilet clogged up. Who came over after work and fixed it? Connie.
I cannot rave enough about the work Connie and her team have done. This is the kind of service I expect from family, not from a service provider and yet, here Connie is, fixing my house like I am family!
Call her, tell her Serena sent you!

American Drain Works is one of the BEST companies I have ever worked with. Connie is amazing as they come. The fact that the company is women owned and operated just puts the cherry on top. They are very attentive, very friendly and professional, and go the extra mile to take care of their customers. Joan & Connie are the people you need to call when you have any type of plumbing or drain problem. 10 out of 10!
I needed a plumber to come fix two shower handles that weren't catching the cartridges behind them to get the water as hot as needed. I called 4-5 different plumbers before finding American Drain works. The other plumbers either didn't service Santa Monica, or they got in and decided they couldn't do the job (I can't find the part you need and this job is too big for me). American Drain Works did the job and did it right. Thank you for saving the day and restoring hot showers to my condo!

I would give Connie and her team 10 stars if possible. She just left our townhome after fixing our backed up kitchen sink. The job wasn't easy because snaking the drain from the kitchen drain didn't work initially. After some investigation, we realized that our kitchen drain actually goes behind the wall, and if we can't clear the clog then we would have to open the wall up. Connie didn't jump to the conclusion and actually went into our downstairs garage to try to snack from 3 other spots. When all the options failed, they cut open a section of the pipe and that was when the pipe cleared.
They went absolutely above and beyond not only fixing our problem, but explaining along the way what could be the cause of the problem, and what they are doing to deduct possible clogging spots.
They showed up early and got the job done. They even cleaned everything up including my dirty sink!!! They didn't leave any dirty foot prints/tracks inside the home and were super respectful. I couldn't have asked for a better service. Connie, you will be the person I call for all my plumbing needs in the future. Thank you so very much!

Best experience ever with this company! Joan the owner got back to me right away and our plumber, Frank called us shortly after that. Frank was honest and sincere and knows exactly what he is doing! Will definitely be using them again for all our plumbing needs.
With the heavy rains on Monday three of the units in my building had patio drains that were slow draining that nearly flooded the units. We needed the drains to be flushed out before the next big rain. American Drain Works & Plumbing Company really came through for us!!! I am giving them 5 stars for the professional, friendly and prompt service at a fair price on the scope of work that was completed. Frank came to our property location. He was professional, had years of knowledge and experience, and just an all around good guy. He knew what needed to be done, hyrdo jet the drains (i.e. power flush) and there was dirt and debris flowing out. Afterward he flowed water through each drain to test that they were clear. This last part put me over the top with joy! (In my experience, most vendors just leave and rarely test to check to make sure the work performed actually fixed the problem.)
For anyone who has served on their condo HOA, once vendors hear the word HOA it seems like there is an automatic surcharge added. What I love and appreciate is, when speaking with Joan on the phone this firm did not price gauge us in our time of need. We were charge a fair price for the work that was done and they were able to come same day (I would of been ok if it was next day). I also love that they are local. We will be calling them back to maintain our drains in the future.
P.S. Prior to speaking with Joan at American Drain Works & Plumbing Company I had spoken to 3 other plumbing firms that wanted to price gauge me (charging double to triple the price).
P.P.S. Frank helped us to identify some other issues which did not require our immediate attention and we will certainly be discussing at our next HOA Board meeting.
A pleasure of a plumbing experience; search no further. None of us like dealing with a plumbing problem, but what can make a night and day difference in the experience is to deal with a professional who cares about what they do, meticulous about the quality of their work, respectful of you and your home, is communicative, considerate of your time, and fair in their assessment and billing of the job. American Drain Works is exactly that kind of company and the quality of people you're dealing with. Huge thanks to Frank for his expertise and professionalism.
Last week our 35 year old water heater started leaking. Due to a great experience with American Drain Works before, I called Connie right away. Connie and Lalo were really great at explaining my options, sharing their recommendations, teaching me more about plumbing, and being in communication via phone and text. They installed our new water heater in one day, reducing the time that we didn't have running water. The whole team takes great care about COVID safety, and wore masks the whole time they worked.
Overall American Drain Works is so great to work with, go above and beyond, and have very fair prices. I continue to highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

My kitchen sink had been leaking for some time, and I actually spoke with 3 other plumbers who all came back with different reasons why. It wasn't until I came in contact with Connie a few weeks ago who discovered several issues that were leading to the leak (issues that none of the other plumbers caught)! She was extremely meticulous in describing what went wrong, and shared other helpful tips in how best to take care of the sink/garbage disposal moving forward. I greatly appreciated that she provided her cell phone and would text back very quickly with answers to questions. This is the type of plumber I want to be friends with!
Fast forward to earlier this week when my shower backed up. Connie and Lalo came to my house a few hours after I had reached out, and tried snaking the shower drain at least 4-5 times to no avail. Not the least bit frustrated, they both brainstormed and decided the next appropriate move was to crawl into a cramped crawl space underneath the house. I was impressed at how quickly they both rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty (literally). It was only a short while later did they discover the issue with the pipes. As a layman when it comes to plumbing terminology, I felt empowered with how detailed and patient Connie was in describing the problem (she used drawings and pictures, and added in colors so I knew what I was looking at), and this was right after they were crawling around underneath the house for what seemed like at least 30 minutes!
I felt the price to resolve the situation was fair, and was extremely pleased with the speed of service once the issue was discovered (Connie and Lalo came on a Monday afternoon, identified the issue, left at 5 pm, and were back the next morning at 9 am on New Years Eve to fix!). By noon, everything was flowing smoothly again.
It seems many of the reviews for American Drain Works echo the same feelings as me, and everybody is happy and satisfied. If you're still considering other plumbers, just know that it will be difficult to find another a plumber as caring and knowledgable as Connie. She greatly cares about her craft, her customers, and she and her team will not leave until they do their best to fix the situation. I feel very grateful to have met her and will be recommending her to everybody on the west side.
I can't praise Connie and team highly enough. She dropped everything the day I called and came over to diagnose the issue. Stayed until 9pm when she was sure she had figured it out.
She and the team came back two days later and fixed the problem in a day - something no other plumber could promise.
Maybe the best thing about working with Connie is how clearly she explains the issue and the fix. There's nothing vague about it (another thing no other plumber could do). She walked me through the fix every step of the way. For such a frustrating problem, it was a pleasure working with Connie and team. I'd give 10 stars if I could.
I haven't even used these two amazing women yet and I am beyond impressed. After five plumbers and trying to find an estimate and information I came to the right place. She was able to look at our property, speak to someone in the know and find out if our city would be working on our street before doing the work at our house. This is a company that cares to do the right thing. She is an educator and educators get excellent outcomes because they empower their customers. Why aren't more plumbers women?
Dr. Cynthia Boxrud
Highly recommend.
I had two other companies come out to look at a thing, and the quotes they gave just didn't seem right. Connie came out, looked, and took out only what drywall was necessary to diagnose the problem. She then showed me exactly what was wrong, explained why it happened, and what they were going to do to fix it. I said, ok, and then they fixed it... at a lower cost and less time than the other two companies. 10 / 10!

We thought we had a small, simple hair clogged problem. Turns out, our problem was much bigger and expensive than we expected. American Drain Works, Connie and her team to the rescue!!! My husband called Connie and she was at our house in no time. Now, that's what you call, awesome and reliable service! When you call Connie, you just know that what she and her team will do is perfection. They get the job done right! Connie is very friendly, personable and sympathetic. She is honest and upfront about what they're going to do and how much it will cost. You can rest assure that when you call Connie, you're in good hands. Connie is God sent to us. She is dependable and trustworthy. This is why her company is blessed; she blesses others and she is a blessing to us. Thank you Connie, from our grateful family!
My wife and I can't say enough good about American Drainworks & Plumbing. We had to have some major work done on our pipe leading out to the sewage line as roots had made it impossible to go long without backups. We have three bathrooms and often have family or out-of-town friends stay over.
Connie worked with us (including a payment plan) to clearly and carefully explain our options, helped us weigh the pros and cons, and handled everything we agreed to. She wrote up then typed up a complete and clear contract, outlining what we'd agreed to, costs and timelines. We felt fully informed and, because she'd handled many other smaller jobs for us, we felt secure knowing the job would be done right the first time. Connie and her crew were thorough, timely, friendly and professional. We now have clear, clean pipes, no more backups, and peace of mind when family or friends stay over.
Connie is a consummate professional, her prices are competitive and her work is exceptional. Plus the office staff demonstrates great customer service - something that can be difficult to find. We HIGHLY recommend American Drainworks & Plumbing.

I really looked forward to doing business with Connie at American Drain Works, but my experience was not good at all. When I called I told her I needed to replace my bath tub faucet, but rather than talk about that, she launched into a 15 minute presentation (aka sales pitch) about some miracle water treatment system for which she is an authorized representative. I listened politely till she finished and then said I was really only interested in replacing the bath tub faucet. She asked me to text her a picture of the faucet and she would get right back to me. So, I sent the picture right away. Um.....that was on 8/3/2020 and today is 9/2/2020 and I haven't heard a word. If she wasn't interested in doing the job I needed, the courteous thing would have been to just tell me that up front. Not a fan of game players.

I want to thank Connie and her able assistant for responding to my call about a slow draining sink. She was terrific and explained that we really didn't need anything done at this time. This was after she had her assistant put a camera in our main drain system out to the street. She also explained how the drains in my old house were closing up with rust and at some point I would need to re-pipe. After she was done I went to pay her and she wouldn't take anything for her time. She was so upfront and honest about how she worked that I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely call her in the future.

American Drainworks, based in Culver City provided excellent service in my recent plumbing needs.
Connie offered product and design suggestions for replacement kitchen and bath fixtures which based on years of experience and an understanding of my needs and budget.
Tracy, the scheduling and office manager is a good communicator and made things happen on my timeline.
Installation was done with expertise and minimal disruption, unavoidable when dealing with plumbing work.
American Drainworks effectively contracts with local experts and offers seamless billing services and NO surprises in final costs with constant communication on multiple platforms.
I unequivocally support this Woman Owned and Operated business serving Culver City and the entire westside of Los Angeles.
I am not a person that writes reviews normally good or bad, but I have to say that CONNIE is unbelievable at what she does. I had some issues with a bathtub install from my contractor that was not well done and Connie came to my rescue with very detailed information on what to do, how to correct it, who to call, etc... she worked for me tirelessly, even on the weekend. I have never met a person so professional and helpful as Connie is and highly recommend her to anyone who only want to work with people who have a huge work ethic.
Had an unexpected plumbing issue in my rental unit, called American Drain works and they couldn't have been better!
Connie and her team are the best! Came over same day, got everything working fast and walked me through the issues.
Honest and trustworthy, couldn't ask for anything more!

I reached out to this company after hearing about their service from a friend. After speaking to Connie about the need to install seismic gas shut off valves due to the installation of our new roof (per Santa Monica City Code), I was so incredibly impressed with her service, level of expertise and willingness to help. Not only did she help educate me on what I needed, but actually called different vendors with me on the phone to help find other resources and quotes that might be cheaper than hers. I was completely blown away by this level of service. I will be keeping her information on hand and using them for our HOA when the need arises. A true professional and trusted partner. Thank you!
I had not an urgent issue, just wanted to change shower drain. But plumbers managed to repair my old one! It's working perfectly now! So they are professionals and honest!

I had a leak in my supply line under sink Connie removed and replaced it and no more leaking. She also showed me where the water shut off value was located outside my house and showed me how to turn off the water supply to my house in the event I should have another leak, she also removed the kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators and cleaned the calcium depots that clogged the flow of the water. I will be using Connie at American drain works again. Highly professional and knowledgeable of what she was doing. A customer for lIfe!!

When I met Connie, Lalo, and her team, I was exhausted. We were navigating several repairs on our new home, and everything was feeling pretty overwhelming. We knew we had plumbing issues that needed to be addressed, but were struggling to find someone we felt we could trust to tell us what was truly necessary. Connie was patient with us, taking the time to explain everything that was going on. She helped us to put a plan in place, even drawing diagrams to be sure we understood her recommendations fully. Since then, we've had them back to install a water filtration system and to unclog pipes after a contractor flushed a towel down our toilet. Every time, they have been meticulous in their work, kind and wonderful to be around, and left behind a clean worksite. They stand by their work and are truly just a pleasure. Honestly, I sleep better at night knowing we have them in our corner.
Connie has helped us with our plumbing several times and she is the best plumber we've worked with. She explains things clearly, she and her team do quality work and are fair and reasonable with their billing. I would strongly recommend them.
My first experience with this company was when I contacted them about servicing of a water heater located on the roof of our building. Although they were not able to do the job, Connie took the time to not only explain some of the details & pitfalls, but also gave me two referrals to other plumbers. I was very impressed by her knowledge and attitude and bookmarked them for future reference.
Yesterday, I called American at 9am, and by 10:30am Connie showed up at our door. She was able to not only fix the issues, but explained why they occurred as well as how to prevent them in the future. I now feel better equipped as a home owner, plus I now have a toilet that flushes ;)

Connie and her team are incredible. I've run a small HOA for years and Connie and Lalo have been so unbelievably helpful in working through plumbing and sewer issues that our 60 year old building had. I've also used the company for inspections on home purchases, and to do work on moving in & regular home repairs. They are honest and trustworthy, and extremely efficient with their clients' time and money. I recommend American Drain Works to everyone I can!
Outstanding experience with a highly skilled plumber. Very flexible schedule and shows up generally within the windows provided. Fixed a few little issues around the house we had and did it very quickly. This included a leaky tub faucet other plumbers told us would need $700+ worth of work - American Drain Works fixed it for less than half the cost. Very generous with his time also, tries to fix things in a cost efficient way. Honest folks, and will use them again.
y was recommended to me by a half a dozen neighbors. I was so happy with the work that Frank did in our backyard. A section of pipe needed to be replaced and he did it quickly and completely cleaned up afterwards. The prices were amazing, less than half of what I had previously been quoted. These guys are my new favorite plumbers

We were in dire straits, roots in our pipes, a full house back-up and breakdown of all basic plumbing needs during the time of Covid is no small amount of stress. Not to mention that our home owners warranty, naturally, has an exclusion to doing anything related to roots. So here we were: stuck, a son just home from dental surgery and no way to run water in our house because we had no way to drain water. We are a one bathroom house and we had already waited over 24 hours for our warranty people to show up only to be told they couldn't do anything for us. The need was real that we have capacity to have a functioning home. We had been told by several plumbers that they were incredibly busy at this time of quarantine and we were looking at getting even just estimates in several days with the potential of not starting on a job for several more days. Reminder: one-bathroom house! Stress! After talking with a lot of recommendations from friends, Connie at American Drain Works and Plumbing took the most active interest in helping us solve our problem and immediately got to work on assessing our needs. They were at our house the next morning at 8am. Her team and this dynamo of a lady boss herself were under our house, giving us options, working with us on all levels to do what needed to be done. Her trusty artist with drains, Lalo and his team, worked all day and half of the next. We learned so much not only about the job, our contract, a true plumbing work ethic but also the follow-through from a dedicated team who cared about the quality of their work, and the quality of their relationships with their clients. We got excellent service, customer care, & attention to detail, working with us while we got the financials in order, from this outstanding Westside Woman owned/Lady Boss Team. I cannot say it loudly enough. Connie, Lalo, Joan and your whole team, we are sold on you and how you love helping people and problem-solving and solution-building to make the world a little bit nicer. These are challenging times and this was a challenging week for us. We recommend American Drain Works and Plumbing for any and all plumbing needs. They are based in Culver City and I highly, highly recommend them to my peeps in their service area! It was a stroke of luck that I got them on the phone and I'm so grateful to them. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We needed a plumber last minute to come reconnect our new kitchen sink and drinking faucet pipes due to some renovation delays. Lalo came to our rescue and took care of the problem in a very timely manner. He wore booties to keep our floors protected and a mask (due to Covid) the entire time. Their estimate also turned out to be the most reasonably priced compared to a few other plumbers we talked to. Highly recommend this company!
Connie and her team are great!! We had a plumbing leak from the ceiling which was worsening by the day. Connie came out the same day to assess it when we called her. Lalo and his fellow technician did a wonderful job fixing the leak. They also fixed a couple smaller items around the home that we had been procrastinating on. Prices were very reasonable. We couldn't be happier with the results. Would definitely recommend this team to anyone in need of plumbing services!

I hope Connie isn't mad for our review being so late! Connie and Lalo deserve all the kudos they're getting; they are the real deal. A few months ago, my wife, Kristen, and I bought our 1930s home in Inglewood knowing full well the original cast iron pipes needed to be replaced. We had one company come out who gave a quote, but mysteriously some of the things the service guy said would be covered wasn't in the agreement, hmmm...We pulled the ripcord on them and reached out to Connie; her reviews were great and we respect a female-owned company in what seems to be predominantly a male industry. Well, Kristen and I could not have been more happy with our decision. What stood out right away was COMMUNICATION. After Lalo inspected the pipes, Connie literally sat us down and did a drawing of our pipe system and explained where the weak spots were and what she was going to do and how much it cost. Blown. Away. No technical jargon, just a complete plan of what needed to be done. And a great price as well! Connie is a no bull person, her and Lalo get the job done, and they're nice people, too!
The folks at American Drain Works are a class act. They were completely professional, took care of the problem quickly and I highly recommend them for all of your plumbing needs.
Connie is very helpful and professional. She takes the time to explain everything and responds quickly. Truest a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

We called several companies before settling with this one. Our water heater died a slow death and it was time to upgrade to a tankless. Connie was professional and knowledgeable. Her team represented her company quite well. They were pleasant and very tidy in their work. I've been looking for a plumbing company for both my home and business. I finally found one that I can trust.
I recommend them highly.
I needed a simple drain unclogging and send an e-mail asking for a quote. The person I e-mailed said to call the owner Colleen on her phone. Colleen seemed confused and annoyed and said she would have to come over to give an estimate. On Father's Day I got a text confirming the appointment. I left work early and came home to meet the plumber at 3:00pm and received a text at 3:03 saying that they would not be coming. In short, I put in a lot of effort and received no service.
Connie is the best! She and her team are incredibly thorough and explain each step. Connie is a plumbing encyclopedia and a great teacher. I knew we were in good hands when she came out to do an estimate and took the time to explain the problems to me and the repairs her team would be doing. The pricing was very clear and reasonable. Additionally, she has great recommendations for other trades if you need one! Look no further, Connie is the plumber you need!
First thing I did when I saw my toilet overflowing with sewage was go on Yelp and find a plumber. I went down the list and American Drain Works was the 5th plumber I called. Connie clearly communicated with me her schedule for the day and was able to come to my rescue 2 hours after I called.
Connie and Lalu showed up and went straight to work. Connie was very clear about each procedure, what to expect and the worse case scenario. Unfortunately for us the problem was in the main drain and not the toilet. Toilet had to be removed, pipe snaked, and toilet reattached.
Lalu did a great job and was able to get our clog cleared. They also tidied up the whole area and did a quick clean of the toilet so it didn't look disgusting!
Also, LADIES, how often do you call a plumber/electrician/handyman/etc and you have to hope and pray that you aren't letting some creep into your home?? I love that Connie is a female plumber!!! She knows her stuff, she explains things thoroughly and there were no hidden charges!
P.S. I don't know how her prices compare as no other company I called gave me a price. However, It was what I expected to pay and she was very clear about the prices BEFORE she did anything!
Thank you Connie and Lalu!!!!!!

Connie's amazing, she was very thorough in her inspection and gave reasonable prices for fixing the plumbing issues in my house. Her team was quick and professional and we were able to move into our new home on schedule. I highly recommended American drain works!
Think twice before calling them! I had a sewer line clogged, so I called them. They came out and opened up the sewer line and sludge went all over the floor of my garage! They then called a Toxic Waste Company to clean up the mess....that bill ended up being $5,500 and I am dealing with insurance to recover that cost.
They then told me after snaking the sewer line that I needed to replace the pipes and advised me not to do laundry or run the dishwasher until I replaced them. The estimate was $5,000 for black Plastic pipes (I think they are called ABS pipes).
Here's what I found out since then:
* They should NEVER have opened the pipe like that...they should have had a barrel underneath, so that sewage would not go all over my floor.
* The next day I had someone run a video camera in the pipes ($300) and they told me my pipes were fine (the clog caused the problem and once it was cleared the pipes were fine).
* The black plastic pipes they quoted me are NOT up to code and would not pass inspection and are a fire hazard!
* A neighbor got an estimate for the same plastic pipes for $1,200 not $5,000 (but remember, they are not up to code and a lot of local plumbers won't tell you that as my neighbor and I found out ... ps... we have the same type of condo unit, so quote is comparable).
So, you decide. Maybe they are OK to use for simple clogs or drips...but I had no idea this was going to turn into such an expensive disaster when I had problems with my toilet.
ADW is a great plumbing co. We had an issue, they were booked and couldn't come out. They walked us through and we solved on our own with their guidance. Def going with ADW for all future plumbing concerns.

Connie is AMAZING. We brought her in to check water damage next to our shower after several receiving rave reviews from a local mom group on FB and were not disappointed. She's super thorough and even went into our crawl space to make sure she had a full view of the issue. She also explained every step to us so we had an understanding of why she was checking different areas. She was very covid conscience and came to our door in a mask. I would hire her back in a heartbeat! Highly recommend.
Connie has been great every time we call her for help. We have a rental unit and so we have issues that come up from time to time. Connie will advise us in a clear way that feels like an expert family member giving us the most sound advice for whatever problem we have. She also is great for contacts for handiwork that needs doing outside of her realm. I definitely recommend you meet her for yourself and see. Excellent plumbing service!

It's usually best to go straight to a professional. I had this drippy faucet fixed once by
a handyman, and the second handyman said that he didn't think he could fix it. Drainworks
fixed it. At 3:30 I had a drippy faucet and at 4:30 I had a newly installed (by Lalo)
faucet which didn't drip. That's all I wanted. The price was EXTREMELY reasonable,
which I appreciate, because if you own a house and you live in it for 28 years you're
going to be doing repairs for 28 years. Thanks Connie and Lalo.
Judi Turner
p.s. Connie filled out the warranty for me and all I had to do was send it in.
She also took the time to explain to me the common flaws in new faucets.

I am a business owner in the construction industry and have worked on many projects with Connie over the years. She and her crew are some of the most competent professionals I have worked with in the plumbing trade. All my clients love having Connie in their home and tell me how much they appreciate that she takes the time to explain all the different technical nuances to them so they understand the inner-workings of their home better. This review from a pro comes highly recommended!
Connie is wonderful! She's been to our condo for several plumbing issues over the last few months and each time she was incredibly responsive, helpful, and reasonable. She gave us a quote ahead of doing any work. Most recently, Lalo came to the rescue and helped us with what we thought would be a huge issue but it ended up being minor. Lalo was calm and fixed everything quickly. We're grateful we found Connie, Lalo and the team and will continue to use them and recommend to others.
Wow is this woman amazing! I called today for any inquiry and she took her time to learn about my issues and what I needed, she informed me of the steps I needed to take in order to get the sewer inspected for a client and then she reffered me to a specialist. All in one phone call she gave me amazing service and educated answers. I am so impressed! Thank you for your kindness and great customer service.
Hands down the best plumber in the area! I called & the owner (Connie) directly picked up and came within an hour.
VERY trust-worthy, experienced & knowledgable. The response time was the most impressive & the personal owner relationship really made the experience delightful.
I would recommend Connie & American Drainworks to all people in need. You won't be disappointed.

Connie is great!!! She is not only knowledgeable and super nice but on top of that she's very clean which as a mom of a toddler I really appreciate. She explained what she was doing and even gave me some tips about other bathroom issues. I would highly recommend!!
Connie and her team are truly AMAZING! I first lucked out by finding them from yelp for a tenant's clogged commode. It turned out to be a blocked sewer and Connie and her team fixed it that day. The next time I saw Connie and her team they tried to scope another property's sewer line but it was stopped up. Connie coordinated another company to do the clean out and then I met with Connie and we ran the scope down the sewer and Connie explained what we needed to do next in great detail. She also researched the city sewer lines and gave me so much helpful information. I highly recommend American Drain Works!

We had an excellent experience with Connie and American Drain Works. Importantly, the bid was so much more reasonable than other plumbers we tried. Beyond that, Connie was excellent to work with -- she explained the situation thoroughly in terms I could understand and showed me everything I needed to see about our pipes with the use of the snake cam. Scrupulous and assiduous. Her workers were excellent -- polite, considerate, etc. I could not have had a better experience and I will be calling them again next time I have a problem at any of the properties that I manage.

ADW is incredible. They were prompt in addressing my problem. They are professional and detailed in their service. Everything was explained that needed to be completed, and after a few hours I had wonderfully functional pipes! This is by far the best plumbing service I have ever used. I'll be a customer for life.

I was really impressed with Connie and her crew. She was very thorough going underneath my house and pointing out things while looking at my sewer line. Unlike the other plumber I called who didn't go underneath my house, Connie has the licensing to do the entire job from underneath the house to the street. On top of that, Connie has a common sense, home improvement contract that fully describes the work and how she stands behind her work. Her estimate for the work underneath the house was actually less than the other plumber. American Drain Works is a company that does quality work!
I would highly recommend American Drain Works if you are in need of drainage repair.
We contacted American Drain Works and spoke with Connie after smelling sewage in our garage. She and her team came out the same day. Turned out to be a minor problem with a missing drain cap. Instead of charging us for a diagnostic fee or scamming us for unnecessary repairs, she fitted a cap for us free of charge.
Very professional, honest, and has great customer service. Would not hesitate to call American Drain Works if we need another repair.
Connie and Lalo are great to work with both very professional when it comes to diagnosing and fixing your problem. Second time using this company and both times very pleased with their work on my drains. This time I had them replace some old pipes and they did a great job. Reasonably priced for the work they do. Thanks.

Connie is the LeBron James of plumbing. So communicative and comprehensive, so nice, so enthusiastic, with a work ethic and charisma that would make Dwayne The Rock Johnson blush. She's in, she fixes the problem, she conveys exactly what the problem was and what the solution is, then she's gone with the wind (until next time). 10/10 recommend, will return.
Connie came out to our folks house and was FANTASTIC!!! We will absolutely use her for all of our plumbing needs. Thank you for taking such great care of our parents!!
When I called her for a free estimate, Connie gave me advice on how to solve the problem myself, which I did.
Thanks Connie - I will definitely call you again!
I just had a wonderful experience with Connie from American Drain Works. She unplugged 3 separate drains and did so quickly and efficiently. She explained what she was doing in such a way that I could understand and see the issues, and she helped me to find some long-term solutions to keeping these now functioning drains open and clear. She charged me what she estimated it would cost with no extras and let me know what to do if I had any further issues. What a pleasure. I would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Looking for a plumber is not fun. They are all usually busy and over priced because of the demand. I was in a bind recently and needed a plumber. I ended up calling Connie by random and it ended up being the best I could have chosen.
I needed someone the same day and Connie fit me into her schedule. She came by and took a look at the issue and scheduled for one of her guys to come see me that day. They both came by later in the day and got my problem resolved. She is very sweet and the overall experience was a pleasure (minus the clog).
I would recommend her to all my friends and family. Thanks again Connie!!!
I'm a new home owner, and I've had to go through a lot of first-time experiences. When it comes to plumbing, Connie at American Drain Works is my new go-to. From scheduling my appointment to getting the job done, Connie did the job in a professional, reliable, and friendly fashion. I texted her on the weekend and since she was so responsive, I decided to just call her right off the bat to schedule an appointment. Since my issue was a toilet clog, she squeezed me in as soon as possible (Monday around noon), and the most important thing was that she even texted me to let me know when she was coming in the window the day of. Needless to say, she was very clear and open in terms of communication.
The other thing that caught my attention was she was very open about suggestions for my bath tub and sink - she gave me the really skinny so to speak. Ultimately, the vibe I received was that Connie was more concerned about teaching me the best practices so I could handle things myself, and then if need be, I could contact the professionals - in this case, my go-to will always be American Drain Works.

Called Connie in the early afternoon and 2 hours later she and Lalo were at my door. We had a clogged line from the sink drain that they were able to access through an outside cleanout.
Quick and easy. While they were there, I also had them cleanout a yard drain that some roots were enjoying.
I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
Thanks Connie and Lalo

Best plumber I have ever called. And I've called a lot. Came to my place and fixed everything. Very honest and straight forward. I highly recommend this company.
What a wonderful company! Connie and Lalo are an amazing team!!I have an old house and I had very serious plumbing problem last year with my sewer line, I hired a plumber who charged me a lot of money dig out a good portion of the bricks on my yard and after he was done with the plumbing he left it for me to find a handy man to put it back, this year I had a similar problem with the water line, I hired this wonderful company who charged me 30% less than the previous company to do a similar job, very professional, much quicker (it took them two days to solve what the previous company did in four) and after they solved the problem they were very kind to put my bricks were they previously were, no need to hire a handyman like last year, I'll call them again!
I had a tremendous experience working with Connie and her team. I always get multiple estimates so I can triangulate things. She has friendly and knowledgeable service. She was communicative on the scheduling, arrival, timing. I needed some drain pipes diverted under my house and she carved out time the same day to provide an estimate. She quoted a great/the best price compared to several other bids and combined with reviews and references, I gladly gave her the job. Work was completed in a few hours. She is honest and personable and well versed in so many things. I loved talking to her about plumbing, gardening, education, art, and business. She gave me referrals for other work I need done around the house. Thank you, Connie! (also: Bilingual staff. Su equipo es bilingüe y confiable).
2 days before Christmas and my garbage disposal backed up kitchen sink! I texted and got a response within the hour that they would help me out the next day. Connie and her team are most efficient, professional and friendly. The office let me know she was running a little late and that was so helpful. When Connie and Lalo got there they got right to work and were organized, super clean and explained everything really well. I also had questions about my bathroom faucet leak, and hot water in the shower and let me just say that Connie took extra time to help me out with all of it. She tried to find a part for me online but the piece was disconnected, she then showed me other options for faucets...we went down to the water heaters and she checked it all out and gave suggestions on what to do. Connie was amazing! I appreciated the time, the explanations and her demeanor which was professional and instilled confidence. They left everything super clean and I am back in business! I will definitely continue to work with Connie and give her my highest recommendation!!
Amazing service. Female Owned Business! She even taught me how to unclog the drain for next time so I can save money! Talk about good service.

I would recommend American Drain Works to anyone.
We have had this leak under the house so I called and made an appointment to meet with Connie at our house. We sat down together and she explained the work they would do and drew a diagram showing what needed to be done.
Her two guys did a fabulous job, and do a great job cleaning up. Also included getting rid of all the old pipes, etc. Connie came over on a Saturday to make sure the work was topnotch and everything was operational.

Left two voice messages and texted as instructed on the outgoing message. Never even got a single response. It may be an indication of her limited skills but at least some communication would have been nice.
Our bathroom sink was completely clogged with an additionally slow-running tub drain and my husband's efforts to snake it had been unsuccessful. As of the Monday before Thanksgiving, we had been unable to use our bathroom sink for 5 days and my shower left me standing in 3 - 4 inches of water.
American Drain Works was recommended by a friend who has used them for years. After calling another plumber who couldn't commit to coming out until AFTER Thanksgiving, I called this company and asked if Chris was available. Unfortunately, he wasn't, but Brenda said that they had some subcontractors who could probably come out same day. She called me back quickly and said someone could actually be here by noon. Great!
The subcontractor, Paxton, called once he was outside (which was around 11:30 a.m.) and he and another man came in and checked out the problem. They were here just about an hour and fixed both the sink and the tub drain. Everything was running smoothly. They were efficient and nice.
However, my mistake, apparently, was in not getting an estimate PRIOR to the work being done. According to my receipt, he snaked my sink & tub (& replaced my sink plug assembly) within 45 minutes of arrival, yet it cost $225! The last time I had a plumber out to do the same thing, it cost me less than $100. I was never provided an estimate by anyone, unfortunately, so I never had the ability to approve the price before the work was done. Darn.
I'm not sure why this was so much more than the last time I had this done, but I am grateful for the speedy and efficient service.

American drain & plumbing company we can do it is there model they have an extremely well orientated person in charge of this organization Connie d. She is the man of the hour anytime you need something on me then ask for her
I don't write reviews but this was the best experience I've ever had with a plumber in my life. I didn't think that was even a thing anymore. But Connie (badass woman-owned plumbing biz!) and Lalo (amazing and so helpful and kind even when I kept asking him dumb questions) showed up after I called them on FRIDAY AT 5PM. They were supposed to go home but they jammed over to my house to see what the issue was and even booked it to the parts store before it closed to get the new water heater I needed. They were SUPER FAST and honestly it was just a genuinely pleasant experience. This type of customer service / human interaction is just not present with most companies anymore, but Connie knows how to run her biz.

Connie and her team came out to my place of business and did an amazing job. She was able to resolve all of our plumbing issues and her team took pride in cleaning up after themselves. Her and her team were very friendly, always showed up when they said they would and took the time to explain each issue. They were very professional and honest. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She is who we will count on the next time we have any plumbing issues.
Be careful with large projects or placing trust in American Drainworks. Though my story is more complex than clean-out it indicates a surprising lack of trust and ownership. Several thousand dollars was pre-paid to American Drainworks for ongoing maintenance and an eventual planned overhaul to drain lines. In mid 2015 American Drainworks went through some personnel/management changes and afterwords refused to honor the remaining funds in my pre-paid account (balance still at thousands of dollars due to overhaul not yet scheduled). Their response was that the pre-paid account was upset during their personnel/owernship change, but the fact remains, from a customer perspective, this company was paid $ which has now disappeared with only partial work completed. For months I tried to have patience and discuss options to get follow through on this, but was denied and referred to lawyers.
The lesson here, is despite appearances, I don't recommend trusting this current company. If the situation is ever tough the customer is likely to be left hanging while American focuses on protecting itself first.
I thought long and hard before sharing this experience as Connie and team aren't all bad but having now completely lost thousands of dollars and gotten repeated refusal to offer any work or return I feel its important for this to be shared to others looking for a small company they can trust.
Connie knows how to run a business. She is no-nonsense and gives you straight answers. I felt she and her team were honest, thorough (she even sent me a rendering of the property sewer run, per my request) and fairly reasonable in terms of pricing (it turned out to be more $ than I was expecting but I believe their prices are competitive.) She is very responsive...got back to me immediately and came out to give me a quote on the weekend and had her crew start on Monday. I was also happy to get Sewer 101 from her, and feel that this extra bit of customer service goes a long way toward empowering customers. I have a trusted handyman for heating, plumbing (replacing water heaters, etc.) but for any big jobs, I would not hesitate to recommend American Drain Works.
If you want the job done, are possibly in a hurry and want it done right, then American Drain Works is your best bet.
I had been trying for months to obtain a permit to have my ABS pipes in the garage of my apartment building removed and replaced to cast iron without any success. I finally gave up and called American Drain because of their 5 star rating. Connie and Lalo came out within 4 hours of my call and 4 hours later, they obtained a permit to begin the job. It was a Friday when I called, but by Monday they began the job.
Every step of the process was discussed and approval obtained. The contract and invoice was thorough, complete, and clearly stated the cost of the job, which was strictly adhered to. No surprises, no hidden costs and no BS. In less than a week, I had a plumbing inspector sign off on the final permit for the plumbing change out.
Not only was the work, efficient, cleanliness maintained, timeline upheld, but Connie even spent time speaking with tenants if they had any concerns or questions.
This company not only knows plumbing, but also how to navigate the complicated and complex system of working with the planning department.
I now have a new plumber that I can rely on and know that I am getting a reasonable price and quality work.
Connie and Lalo were amazing. They were quick, efficient, honest, professional and so super nice. They charged a fair price and I couldn't be more pleased. I had a toilet that kept running and also didn't flush right and they fixed it super fast. Connie also took the time to explain what they did in a way that I could understand it--something no other plumber has done before. Also, my two children were napping and Connie and Lalo were so respectful and quiet I could not even hear them working. I am beyond happy to have found them and will recommend them to all of my friends and family.
Connie is so nice and upfront with your plumbing issues. I respect that she looks at more than what you called them out for and makes sure that another problem might not present itself. I would definitely recommend her for your plumbing needs!

Connie stands out from every contractor and service person we've ever worked with, and not just because she's a woman. Her responsiveness is outstanding and she really takes the time to explain everything she and her team are doing. As an HOA board member and homeowner, I've come across dozens of contractors, plumbers, electricians, HVAC repair teams and more, and no one has ever provided the level of customer service Connie has.
The first time I called her office, she texted AND called me back within the hour. I called one afternoon to schedule an estimate for some work and she said she'd come right over that evening, which I did not expect. She showed up after 5p with her drain camera in tow and got right down to business despite it being the end of the day. And this was just for the estimate. She outlined the work that was needed and sent over a written estimate within the day. It helps that Connie has a great team in the office and in the field. Lalo and Abundio are her crew and they are fantastic. They also take the time to explain what they're doing and unlike other vendors I've worked with, are not condescending.
The first time we used American Drain Works was for a clothes washer that kept backing up. A previous contractor had replaced the drain line behind the washer and the valves, but it didn't resolve the issue. Turned out the drain pipe below the house was too narrow for the flow and had to be replaced, which the other contractor missed because they didn't bother to look under the house. Connie's team dug under our house to upgrade the old line to handle the increased flow. Lalo and Abundio arrived when they said they would and completed the job as scheduled. Throughout, Connie was in constant contact with us via phone, text and email.
We were so impressed with the work we hired them again to redo our sewer line. We had about 80 feet of cast iron that was well past its expiration date. When we bought the house the inspector told us it was just a matter of time before it gave out, and camera footage showed deep ruts in the metal where it had corroded. We decided to replace it before we ended up with raw sewage in our backyard and asked Connie for an estimate. She outlined the scope and again, provided a detailed written estimate (with diagrams) of everything her team would do. As tends to happen, once you open up the job you find someone else's shoddy work, and ours was no exception. A prior homeowner had put in a branch line to the sewer line and encased it in four feet of concrete. Why we'll never know, but Connie told us right away, sent pictures and explained how much more work it would involve. Her guys took a jackhammer to the concrete, which was awful work since the block was many feet underground, and continued with the job. Despite the horrible extra work, they still got everything done in a timely manner and delivered everything they promised.
I hope not to have plumbing issues in the future, but if I do, the silver lining is that we have a terrific plumber we trust: Connie and American Drain Works. Things would be much easier if other vendors were as communicative, honest, responsive and reliable as Connie and her team.
Connie is awesome. In the past I have had negative past experiences with plumbers especially male ones taking advantage of me being a female with little knowledge about plumbing. That being said, I gave Connie a shot. She responded quickly via text while I was at work. Came by after work and helped me out. What other male plumbers wanted to charge me, Connie charged me half. To top it off she taught me things about plumbing. Things to do as maintenance, what to look out for, and when I should text or call. She is straightforward and is reasonable about her pricing. If I could, I would give her 10 stars.

Connie is the best! Often same day service. She knows her stuff and is always keeping abreast of new developments in the field. She won't steer you wrong!
Connie and her team did some major work for us recently: Replaced a large section of our main sewer line (using pipe burst method), which involved doing some digging into the city sidewalk. Everything went as smoothly as possible. Permits all handled, inspections went smoothly. I'm very impressed at Connie's thoroughness when it comes to solving the problem. Some other plumbers we've had to our property do the minimum amount possible while Connie will leave you feeling confident that your issues have been fully addressed. She also did a lot of research ahead of time so there were no surprises during the job, and our original quote did not change. I really appreciate that and will always call Connie in the future for any plumbing needs.
Fixed a leaking toilet. Came prepared with the parts after I sent photos of the toilet so to avoid the need for a follow-up visit which I appreciated. Friendly and reasonably priced. I will be using American Drain Works if needed in the future.
Connie is the greatest. I had her do an inspection on a house we were buying and she provided a detailed through report in a timely manner. She also asked if I wanted to go under the house with her when she did her inspection so I joined her. While we crawled through, she walked me though everything I was seeing and pointed out the areas of concern. I also had her do a quote on some plumbing issues at my current place and she ended up getting me the parts for free from the manufacturer and advised me on how to install them. I will definitely come back to her with any of my plumbing needs. She clearly loves what she does, is knowledgeable, friendly and a straight shooter.

American Drain Works is great!!
I work with Connie. She is always extremely helpful, very down to earth, and most importantly honest.
Their work speaks for itself!!
Thank you!!
George
I've now had Chris to my house twice and he's done a great job both times. He is incredibly friendly and knowledgable and goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are satisfied.
The most recent call ended up just being a loose hose. Chris came on a Sunday within a few hours of me calling him, he fixed the problem, cleaned up the mess and didn't charge me at all! It doesn't get much better than that.
Another great thing about this company is that they have online payment, SO fast and easy.
American Drain Works is now my go-to plumber.

I had cracked pipes and clay sewer line with roots causing hangups and backups. The plumbing was originally installed when the house was built in 1951. Connie first came out and inspected everything under the house as well as running a camera through the lines and showing me where the problems were. She then drew a diagram of all the plumbing, educating me on the various lines, connections and trouble spots and then prioritized each section. There was only one area which needed to be fixed as soon as possible and she gave me a more-than-fair estimate on that, but also let me know there was a possibility of needing to repair a slighting longer section if the pipe was too weak for a connection at that point. I was very happy and impressed with Connie's professionalism, service, knowledge, documentation (Contract, license, insurance, etc.), time spent to make sure I understood the options, and of course the completed project itself. There was extensive and hard-to-reach excavation required to get to the problem. It was all done in one day as promised, and everything was cleaned up and put back together perfectly. Connie even came out the following morning to check and make sure everything was done to my (& her) satisfaction. I would VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND American Drain Works & Plumbing Company!
A female plumber - first of all, hurray! - who goes above and beyond to make sure the process is smooth and transparent. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough, pro, trustworthy and in full integrity. I highly recommend her.

Connie is an angel sent from above to fix my family's shi*ty plumbing disaster. We didn't know our house was sitting on a field of sewage quick sand and she came in with her team to take care of it in just two days. Not only was she super-patient in explaining the situation to us, she also came back the following week to fix our washing machine. She's very personable and informative and, for once, I didn't feel like a home repair person was taking advantage of us. I cannot recommend her service enough!
After attempting to reach several plumbers, I happen to reach Connie at American Drain Works. She was a delight! We have a very old home with lots of plumbing problems and Connie and her team were able to take of our problem. My husband, who is not easily impressed, was totally impressed by her professionalism, knowledge, and skill. We have found our go to plumber for any future needs. Connie and her team have been by far the best in service, price and professionalism.

I needed my garbage disposal fixed ASAP. Connie came same day and fixed it in the most cost effective way possible. Connie is knowledgeable, friendly, genuine, and honest -- she takes the time to answer all questions and make sure you are completely satisfied with her work. I highly recommend Connie at American Drainworks!
Diligent and Thorough and Honest are the best words to describe Connie and Chris. I was having a major plumbing crisis when I called Connie. My house has a sewage evacuation pump and the motor was frozen and impeded by a blockage. My entire sewage system was blocked and I had a house full of guests .....and it was Saturday afternoon.
AMERICAN DRAIN WORKS AND PLUMBING TO THE RESCUE!!!!!!. Connie assured me that they stay until the job is done. It was looking like I might have to replace the whole pump ($$$$$) but Connie and (especially) Chris didn't give up. They managed to unplug the pump and get the motor going. They saved me from certain demise and I was (and am) extremely grateful for such good people.
I would recommend them highly.
We had a clog in the main sewer line. Connie was great. She showed up on time. Was quick and efficient. Gave me a great price and some good advice. I'll definitely use again when the need arises and highly recommend to others.

It's nice when you find a plumber that you can trust. Chris was recommended by our contractor when we needed a new hot water heater. Ours had developed a leak over the Christmas holiday, which was a nightmare. Chris came out the same day, took the time to explain what our options were, and what he recommended. And then he came with his crew and installed the new water heater on New Year's Eve.
Last month we had a really high water bill that seemed to be because of a leak. We were imagining the sub space under the house flooding. Chris came out, took a look, and determined that the toilet in the detached office bathroom had probably been running, but that it had stopped. No charge. Astonishing...
We wouldn't think of using someone else. Chris is the best!

Connie and Lalo at American Drain Works were truly lifesavers as we experienced a severe gas leak late in the afternoon. They came out the same day at 8pm to provide an estimate and agreed to begin repairs first thing the next day. Throughout the whole experience, they were punctual, very communicative, and answered all the questions we had about the repairs. Connie really went above and beyond in getting us an answer for our specific situation, as well as making sure that all of our problems were resolved.
Connie and her team were great! Responsive, knowledgeable, and reasonable prices. Strongly recommended.

I can't say enough about how happy I am with Connie and her team. I had a leak under under the kitchen sink that would delay another installation. Connie and Lalo were at my house within the hour. They made sure everything was immaculate and working properly before they left. The cost was also very fair. I don't want another plumbing issue, but if I do, American Drain Works will be the company I use.

ADW replaced all the original plumbing in our 1939 cutesy little bathroom. This was a major repair I had put off for a long time. Connie & crew were professional, courteous & efficient, knocking the job out within a few days. Highly recommend!

What a pleasant experience! Everyone fears having to deal with a plumber and potentially getting ripped off. Let me start by saying that Connie is wonderful. I was referred to her by a contractor friend of mine. I recently had my master bath remodeled. My shower had been draining slower and slower for several years now. I had used draino and other assorted chemicals. They always worked for a short time and the problem kept getting worse. I was standing in almost 2 - 3 inches of water within one minute of turning on the shower. I asked the contractor (not the one that referred Connie) to please clean out the drain during the remodel process. According to them they did it. They were either just lazy or incompetent... Still not sure. After no results they informed me I needed a jetro (high pressure water through the pipes to clean it out). I called several plumbers who did not do jetros. I asked several other contractors if they had a good plumber and was referred to Connie. She spent about 15 minutes on the phone with me at around 8:30pm listening to my dilemma and what I was sure I needed. She told me just how expensive a jetro would be to get that much hose with the needed manpower to hold the hose up into my condo (don't ask!). She also informed me of her concerns because I do live in a complex built in 1980 with copper pipes. She said the high pressure water could actually rupture the pipes. She said she would like to try a regular snake first. And all other options prior to the jetro. She told me she would contact me the following day and get me into her rotation as soon as possible. She showed up at my house at approximately 4 PM. That little lady was able to clear that years old problem with a regular snake in 20 minutes, something that 2 full grown men (Clowns) from the first contractor could not accomplish. And she saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars from potential busted pipes and having to rip open walls. Any plumber looking to make a buck and not actually care would have said ok, you want a jetro... let's bust out the high pressure hose and see what happens. I am thrilled that I now have a fantastic, honest plumber to add to my list of professionals. And the kicker... She charged me less than she quoted me on the phone!
Thank you Connie.
Connie is FANTASTIC! When she couldn't fit me into her schedule for a clogged main sewer line, she reached out to one of her trusted plumbing friends to help. When I brought her in a few days later for snake our shower, she was incredible - so professional and honest. HIGHLY recommend her!
Great communication, prompt, thorough, and honest. I had a pleasant experience with these guys.

Connie/American Drain Works is excellent! She helped me with instructions on how to deal with my immediate problem, and showed up first thing the next morning to get everything fixed. The job was more complicated than originally hoped, but Connie kept me informed and educated every step of the way. I had similar problem six months ago. The plumber I used didn't help me to understand what was going on or how to prevent it. Connie did both. I highly recommend her if you have any plumbing issue!

I have only words of praise for American Drain Works and Plumbing. This is my second experience with them, and it even surpasses the initial one. Connie is a human dynamo!
She is informative, explanatory and listens to your concerns instead of ignoring them.
Most importantly, she resolved the problem, unlike the last technician(from another company) who was gone after 15 minutes, with only excuses to share. I wish more plumbing companies were like this one--Connie and American Drain Works get the job done!
Connie is wonderful! She is so professional and mindful of other people's belongings. She is very knowledgeable and knows how to talk about plumbing to the average person, which is a plus. She is more than fair with her pricing and is on time, every time. Thank you, Connie!
Thank you Connie and Joan for your trip out to examine my problem and give me options. Thank you again and look forward to working with you again!
Just had Connie come out with Lalo for hydrojetting and replacing a broken garbage disposal. They were great. Very professional and Connie is a great teacher. I'm looking forward to attending some of her basic plumbing classes. Prices were reasonable for such good quality work. Really happy to have found such a great plumber!
Connie was so great! She helped us with our electric water heater and was able to provide us with information and resources on how to fix our water heater. She's definitely a professional and trustworthy!
I am surprised how companies with such great reviews treat potential new customers with 'whatever attitude'. First they didn't call back when they started a conversation with me and have been interrupted. ..Next day i call again just to schedule an appointment and they didn't show up without notification .Eventually 'granted' me with a text-reply they won't be coming today at all ...no alternative day/time offered....

We just moved into a condo in Heather Village, Culver City, that had multiple plumbing problems in the kitchen and two bathrooms. Connie performed the work better than I have ever seen. I know she takes great pride in her work as well she should. She did have a huge smile on her face after she finished. I don't have a photo but the problem she found under the master bedroom sink was a huge mess of tape, prior poor plumbing work, and corroded pipes. Her finished product is masterful. Anyway, we not only like her work but thoroughly enjoyed meeting her. She is in our permanent contact list and I don't mind telling everyone about her service and competency. Call her for great service and a fair price.

I was so impressed with Connie and Lalo! I had an urgent situation where I needed them to replace my water valves in the laundry room. Even though they were completely booked the next day, she was nice enough to squeeze me in. They arrived when they said they would, thoroughly explained what they would be doing, and completed the job quickly. Their prices were much more reasonable than their competitors I would highly recommend Connie and her team

I called a couple places that would come out to my home for a quote and Connie responded within the hour. I had ADW come out for a sewer line inspection because I suspected I might have a leak. Prior to the appointment she provided me with some reading material to figure the source of my problem. She came out on time as scheduled, walked me through the inspection, provided me great feedback, and in the end provided me a written recommendation. Fantastic customer service, will definitely have her saved in my contacts for future work.
The best plumbing service in Culver City hands down. Top notch work. Fast and efficient. Reasonable pricing. Extremely nice too.
These people are wonderful. Connie is thorough and helpful. I needed to have the original bathroom sink drain pipe replaced. They made the process easy and as painless as possible. Connie also had great references for the plaster (and an electrician if I ever needed it). Connie and her team are incredibly competent and fair. As other other people have mentioned - this place is honest! That could not be valued more. Will always be my first call when I need a plumber.
Connie and her team have been to our house three times in the recent past. The first time they came on a Sunday and fixed a broken sewer pipe. It was a dirty, icky, messy job, but they never complained and did an excellent job. She even made some suggestions to improve the situation in the future. A couple of weeks ago, they came back to replace a leak in the bathroom. They had to crawl under the foundation and ultimately, had to put a hole in the wall to replace the pipe. The whole thing was very tight quarters - but again they had smiles on their faces. On that trip they also had to install a kitchen faucet.
Today we noticed a leak in the kitchen faucet and they were here within 30 minutes. Plus the issue was fixed in 5 minutes and they didn't charge me for the service call! The best plumber I have ever used bar none. They will be my first call ALWAYS when I need plumbing services.
Connie is not only an amazing plumber - but so professional and caring as well. She has come through for our family on crazy rainy nights when the sewer pipe broke at 9pm, and shows up for all the little things too like snaking our shower drain for hair blobs! We have been using American Drain Works for 9 years now and wouldnt think of using anyone else

Connie responded within minutes to my text, and although this was non-urgent, she made a point to come to me on the same day/evening despite a very demanding schedule. One of the jobs I had involved pipes rusting on the outside and she explained to me the parts of the job I could easily do myself to save $$ and prevent future rusting. She had other money saving suggestions, too. I am very happy with her work. She is professional, knowledgeable, fast, friendly and accommodating. I will be using her again for several other non-emergency jobs. And I love the fact that I am supporting a woman-owned business.

I am a relatively new home owner and it is really refreshing to get the exceptional customer service that Connie and Lalo provide. She runs a business that is responsive, honest and extremely thorough. I have had a couple of emergent situations and it is comforting to know that I can rely on Connie and her team. ....and even if it is not plumbing related, she has great referrals/ recommendations for other services.

Had a water heater issue - made loud motor-like noise when hot water turned on. Called home warranty company American Home Shield (AHS), they then put me in contact with their contracted plumber, Bear Plumbing. Bear told me the water heater had a leak, needed to be replaced, and that more than a few other items were needed and/or needed to be brought to code. Bear turns off the hot water as they say it is dangerous to have it on. Bear tells me AHS will contact me re approval. The next day AHS calls to let me know they will cover the water heater at $406.41; AHS does not cover the additional items which total $960! I do some researching, made phone calls back and forth with Bear and AHS, and after 1 week without hot water, decide to get a 2nd opinion. I called American Drain Works and Plumbing. Carmen, the woman in the office took detailed notes and scheduled appointment for the next day. Connie comes to check out water heater and before I get to the house to meet her, she calls me to inform me that the water heater is under warranty. She calls the water heater manufacturer and is told that the water heater is under recall and the manufacturer will take care of parts and labor through their service provider. Connie then calls the service provider and we schedule the appointment for the repair work! I asked Connie about the additional parts Bear said was needed. Not true! Asked Connie about water heater leak Bear wrote on their report. No leak! What a scam! I am so happy I met Connie. She is well informed, took the time to answer my questions, and called the service company for me! And she didn't charge me. I trust Connie. I definitely will call her for any future plumbing work and have already referred one of my friends to her.
Another great experience with Connie & Lalo. My tenant in Santa Monica had the master tub, shower & sink backing up. Connie was contacted the day after Xmas & stopped by late that afternoon to check it out. First thing this morning they were able to replace a 75 year old cast iron pipe with 3 elbows in it. They did not rush the job but got it done right. She even sent a picture of the clogged pipe. I will ONLY call Connie. Great response, very reasonable even though she had so many calls over the holidays. She is a gem!

Connie is a rock star. After a nightmarish experience with my home warranty company who could not send a competent plumber to fix a gas leak problem (HWA is the name of this awful company- DO NOT USE THEM!), I found American Drain Works on Yelp. After hours of haggling with HWA and days of unsuccessful attempts by their incompetent plumbers, Connie's crew seemed heaven sent. Unlike HWA, Connie listened to my request to send a smaller plumber to fit into the tight crawl space, and within hours, the plumber found the leaky pipe, replaced it with a newly threaded pipe, and voila, it was fixed! This is an excellent company with huge emphasis on client care. Connie was very patient with the extra paperwork and phone calls I requested of her in order to file for reimbursement from the terrible home warranty company. I will definitely work with American Drain Works & Plumbing. Thank you!!!
I was having a growing number of problems with drain back ups at one of my apartment buildings. I did my research and met with a few plumbing contractors who specialize in drain problems. I finally reached out to American Drain Works and talked to Connie. We met the next day. Connie is very professional and knows what she's talking about because she has been in the business for a long time. She ran a camera and showed me the drain and all the problems I had. She also crawled under the building and gave an assessment of the drain connections and drops from the apartments. She even sent me pictures form the city to show my connection to the city main, which looked great. She told me the good and the bad, and summed up what I needed. She gave me options about what needed to be done now, and what I would need to do later. None of the other plumbers went to the extent and thorough inspection that Connie did. I was impressed. I got it all done quickly for a great price and now I don't have to deal with it for at least 10 years because of her awesome warranty. Thank you Connie!!
There was a shower head that needed replacing at my boss's rental property. Our usual guy didn't respond in a timely manner so I called American Drain Works because we'd used them before to hyrdro-flush the drain pipe in the back of the house. Connie got back to me quickly and was able to come out the same day. She provided fast, friendly service. I'll be using them again in the future.

Had an issue with my sink not draining properly, plumbers were at my doorstep almost instantly, service with a smile, it only took the two plumbers a total of 15 minutes to solve the drainage issue, these guys totally know their stuff! Phone representative identified the problem immediately and recommended a different appliance expert if I ever have any issues with household appliances, I am very pleased and will do business with them when needed anytime and everytime !

Very responsive and reliable. I sent a text in the evening about a clogged shower drain. I received a response within a few minutes and scheduled an appointment for the next afternoon. Connie and Lalo were prompt an efficient. They do excellent work and not only fixed the problem but made suggestions how to avoid future problems.
I called Connie when a tenant reported a leak in his ceiling coming from an upstairs bathroom. After my first plumber declared he couldn't fix it, Connie came to the rescue!! She and Lalo arrived on a Friday afternoon, assessed the problem, got to work right away and fixed it quickly. She explained everything along the way and was honest and upfront. As a property owner, its important to me to get plumbing issues resolved quickly and I love her professionalism and awareness in dealing with tenants. She has become my go-to plumber and I'm so happy to have found her. American Drainworks is great!
Connie and Lalo were friendly, expedient, and communicative throughout the appointment. She gave my family an easy fix for a toilet problem that has been reoccurring for over a year now. We definitely recommend her and will be going to her for any future problems.
I LOVE Connie! I work in real estate and design and she is one of the best plumbers I know! My husband and I had a horrible leak in our personal residence (broken pipe in upstairs bathroom that went thru to the ground floor!) and she came out, diagnosed it and fixed it ASAP, with no BS or upsell. She also gave us great referrals for a damage repair company and is just such a sweet nice person on top of being super knowledgable. And she always picks up her phone- huge plus! She is my go to gal now for all my plumbing needs.

Connie and Lalo were great. They were able to identify and fix a problem 4 other plumbers could not figure out. Connie explained everything - what must be fixed now to avoid future emergencies and what we should plan to do it the future to update our house. Everything was clear and understandable and they answered plumbing questions unrelated to the repairs they made so we could understand how things work and make the best decisions. The fees they charged were very reasonable. I truly appreciate them!

received A++ service definitely recommend to anyone looking for a trustful plumber quickly replaced my broken old garbage disposal
Connie and her team are the best -- reliable, professional, knowledgeable, responsive. Connie answers her phone on the first ring, calls back promptly; gets there when she says she will (or if late due to traffic, etc., texts to keep you posted), assesses the problem quickly and explains in detail what you need and what your options are, is reasonably priced, and is kind and respectful. I could not recommend her more highly especially for complicated drain and sewage problems.

LOVE these plumbers - they have taken care of both my home and business for any plumbing needs for years - I just had a major backup at my work on a Saturday and although they were already busy they were able to come over and fix the problem within an hour! I can't thank them enough! I love that they do what they say and tell you if things will be delayed - all you ever want is to know what is going on and these plumbers are great at communicating if they are delayed because of a bigger emergency - and that communication makes them a 5 star plumbing team (plus their work is great too!!)

I've had any number of plumbers over a dozen years in Mar Vista, but I think I've finally found the plumber to call: Connie and AmericanDrainworks. They did a larger sewer job for me a few months ago, quickly with minimal fuss and for a reasonable price. Yesterday I had a kitchen sink faucet replaced for much less than I (over-)paid for the original installation. I'm very pleased, and will definitely call Connie and AmerDrain next time I have an issue.

We had a small drain stoppage, and I contacted American Drain Works because of the Yelp reviews. Connie answered, and scheduled an immediate appointment. Not only did she do a great job of identifying and fixing our problem, but she checked the rest of our system to make sure there weren't other issues (there weren't), and gave us great advice on how to avoid needing to call them back out in the future. This willingness to offer professional service that runs contrary to their best interest was truly unusual and impressive. The work was done quickly, cleanly, and professionally. Couldn't recommend them more highly.

A great experience. I had a leak under my kitchen sink. They were very responsive and easy to talk with. I had them fix a couple of other problems while they were here as well. I am not an expert on plumbing by any means, but they made me feel very comfortable and did a great job explaining the work that they were doing. I would definitely recommend them to a friend.
I've used American Drain Works for small jobs around my condo. Recently I called them to get an estimate on my house for a fairly big job (updating drain/water lines); because this house was further away, Connie recommended another company that they have worked with before. First, I really liked the company that they referred me to, and felt that I could trust them (which you don't always get in this line of work!). Second, I called Connie back to get her opinion on some of the things they proposed and she took the time to explain everything in a way that I understood it. And she was very quick to respond to a couple of emails I sent her. Wonderful customer service and someone that I could trust.

Connie and her awesome team at American Drainworks were a huge help to my household! An emergency sewage situation arose at my home and Connie was there in a flash. She and her crew are very skilled and knowledgable, along with being professional and polite. I'd hire her again in a heartbeat. Thanks for everything, Connie!
Connie is a true LIFESAVER. If I could give her ten stars I would. My toilet at my office had some serious issues, and she was there within just a few hours of me calling. I had to close my business because we didn't have a toilet, and she just out the gate understood my situation and got to it in record speed. She vetted the situation, then had her team there in no time and got the whole issue resolved. Her knowledge and professionalism and timely manner was truly next level. Not only was she there in a jiff, she charged us fairly. It's sometimes very intimidating when you have an issue that is completely out of your wheelhouse, and it made me feel so relieved that she was so transparent and cool about it all. The two guys she brought with her were also great, super professional and nice. I'm never using another plumbing service again!!!! They know what's up!!! Thank you times a million!!!!
HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
The Best Customer Service!! Connie is Fantastic! Luis, their plumber is excellent! I will use American Drain Works & Plumbing Co for all my future plumbing needs!
I am extremely grateful that I used Connie of American Drain Works for my sewer inspection on a home I had in contract in Mar Vista. To start, she was extremely responsive on very short notice to come inspect the home before our contingency period ran out. She was very thorough in her camera line investigation and uncovered some major problems with the existing line. There was no easy fix, in that there was blockage under the house that ran through foundation walls, etc. She had all the latest equipment and expertise to trace the very convoluted plumbing situation in this 1940s home. Furthermore, she was highly ethical in the face of strong pressure from the realtors to minimize the problem. As an Architect, I know she was recommending the appropriate necessary fix, and it was something beyond what I wanted to take on as a home buyer. I will always use her services for future home inspections and repairs needed on the sewer. It's a small community of building professionals here on the west side and I know her ethics and expertise will continue to keep her as a first choice on any inspections and repairs.

Connie is honest, skilled, knowledgeable, professional, personable, fair, and completely trustworthy. The details of what she diagnosed and fixed for me are unimportant. Her rapid response, her extreme knowledge and integrity, incredibly fair pricing --- these are the things that have won my trust and loyalty to American Drain Works and Plumbing. In a world of up-sell, Connie operates from a place of service and integrity. You can tell from the moment you speak to her, and it gets confirmed when she and her crew are working on your plumbing problem.

Great experience with Connie and crew repairing plumbing and sewer line so I could sell my house. The inspection turned up some problems as we were selling and Connie got everything fixed at a great price. It was a stressful time and she made it better.
ADW&P came quickly...actually beat us there! They cleared up the issue in shower and tub quickly. They were able to communicate with me while I was at work to let me know what the problem was. Great Service. Adding them to my rolodex for future clogs.

Chris is a great guy and a very knowledgeable plumber. I have been having sewer line issues for about the last 2 years and needed to see what is going on with my line. Chris came out the next day and did a camera inspection for free. Every other person I contacted wanted $250 for the same job. I still need part of my line replaced but Chris recommended Hydro-jetting for at least temporary solution. When I have the money I am going to hire him to dig up the sidewalk and replace the bad section. I highly recommend his company!

I have used Chris's services many times over the years in my rental properties and my own home. He is knowledgably, courteous, prompt with very fair pricing. He always makes himself or one of his crew available the same day if needed. I would highly recommended him to anyone and have done many times.
We had both owners coming to our place of business.
Excellent customers service, fast and really good price. I recommend and will use them again!

I can't say enough good stuff about this company, and I've never even hired them :) I called American Drain Works a few days ago hoping I could get some advice on a plumbing job gone wrong. I had been given a very high bill from another plumber on a job for which I never received an estimate at all prior to being billed. Connie at ADW was astounding. Even though I wasn't a customer, she literally stayed on the phone with me for over ten minutes going over in minute detail everything I needed to know to be an informed consumer. She helped me understand the invoice I had been given by the other company, and explained to me at length what each item meant and how much I should normally be charged. She put me at ease instantly and felt more like a long time family friend than a stranger I had just called. Even after we got off the phone she replied to several texts I sent, taking valuable time out of her busy schedule to help me. If this is how ADW acts with complete strangers, I can only imagine how incredible they must be to actually do business with. Five stars. I cannot recommend them enough!

What a find this plumber is!
I felt treated like family member by Chris. What a good person who really cares about what he does.
I called a lot of plumbers to find the best priced one to flush my tankless water heater after being told that is why my hot water pressure was low by another plumber. This company's price was very reasonable, he could come right away and they sounded very reliable. (and rated highly on yelp). What a shock when he discovered more than the other plumber who had gone through the same process, that the flushing was not the problem. He removed the faucet and found cracked plastic stuck in there.
I must of called 5 other plumbers, one was here and all gave me the incorrect solution.
Chris explained to me how I could still flush my tankless and discussed with me all the options. Then after discovering a leak outside he actually came back to show it to my gardener without charging me. He even left his pumping tool for my gardener to borrow.
I mean, that is one trustworthy plumber who is in the business for the right reasons. What a find...

American Drain Works & Plumbing Co. was fantastic! Chris was very helpful and explained in great detail what was wrong with our water heater. Our water heater broke and we called him on a Saturday morning to come and fix it and he was here within half an hour. He's extremely helpful and friendly, and he went above and beyond what we discussed to help us fix our broken garbage disposal as well. We will definitely be using him in the future!
Thanks Chris!

We needed a low cost solution for a new sink at church. The building is really old and we didn't have a lot of money. American Drain Works really came through for us - everything is working perfectly now.

Honestly, I would have never written this review if Connie didn't email me with the accusation that I hung up on her and wanted to take advantage of your business. I was actually ready to pull the trigger and complete the service until I heard the receiver on your end hang up. If it was an accident, fine. But don't make accusations. I'm updating this to 3 stars as I'm sure my case is just an anomaly.
American Plumbing was sent to my apartment by my landlord after a leak sprung in my kitchen sink. Chris and another fellow showed up to fix the problem and did so quickly and showed me exactly what they were fixing and why. They were friendly and polite and even nice to my cat. Chris also showed me how to fix my toilet when it runs - an unrelated problem, but it was very helpful. Great service!

The last thing you want to deal with on a Sunday, is plumbing. We had an emergency with the sprinkler system for our townhouse 7-unit building. The sprinklers went on and would not go off. We tried every valve we could find. We could not get any plumber to respond to our call until we called Chris Layton and his American Drain Works company. First of all, he answered the phone on a afternoon. Second, he was able to come over in 15 minutes of our call and best of all, he fixed the problem within 2 minutes of his arrival. On top of it all, he has an extremely pleasant personality and had some other wonderful recommendations for us. I would not hesitate to call him again. We found him on Angie's list and he has the most reviews 89 including mine for plumbers.
Good luck getting these guys to get back to you, after 3 phone calls and emailing them photos, I've yet to hear back from them to schedule an appointment for an estimate for a whole house replumb...it's been two weeks.
Look no further!
Showed up on time and were very friendly! Even their front desk person was very pleasant. Above and beyond your typical plumbing experience. A+++

I called this company after my bathroom sink drain has been slow to drain for the past few months. Chris responded promptly and was at my apartment within 24 hours. He was very honest with me, letting me know that it was a maintenance problem and that the parts needed to be replaced. Although it meant that he would not be able to be paid for the service itself, I really appreciated his honesty and help. Would highly recommend this company!

Integrity!!! They have it & my future business. I have a GE water heater that was only 1 year old & covered by the warranty. I called these guys anyway b/c I wanted hot water ASAP & didn't want to wait for warranty service. I figured it was the thermocouple (usually a $20 part) & these guys should be able to fix it quick. The service man diagnosed the problem to be the entire ignitor system & said I have to call GE for parts; they did not carry GE parts. So I paid for the 15 minute visit & had to call GE anyway. GE was great but they insisted it was only the thermocouple since the pilot lights, but doesn't stay on. They overnighted the part & a service guy came in the afternoon. The thermocouple was replaced in 15 minutes & the hot water was back. Rather than writing a negative review, I decided to call & inform them about the misdiagnosis & complain that they did not fix the thermocouple. I said that since I mentioned the water heater was a GE & it was probably the thermocouple, they should have not even sent someone out since they do not stock GE parts. Connie agreed with me & thanked me for the feedback. She insisted on mailing me a refund. Great!!! Guess what? She didn't mail it, she drove to my house & gave the refund to my wife the same afternoon. Connie is awesome & these guys have integrity. Most guys out there would have said, You called. We came. The money is ours for just coming out to look.

I had 3 plumbers come out in 2 days. Chris at ADW was very thorough and professional. He showed me on camera how roots were growing into the pipes and told me my options, which saved me a boat load of dollars (compared to previous quotes)!! I also must say that Nancy at ADW was very polite and good with follow-up. Thanks to American Drain Works and I hope I don't need a plumber any time soon, but if I do, you'll hear from me.
In the last week, I've had several plumbing problems in a row and I've been thrilled with the kind of response and as well the professional work that was done by Chris and his guys. It really is rare to find a company that does this kind of work with no hassle.
I've used American Drain Works for several projects over the last few years and have nothing but good things to say about them. They are ALWAYS available when I call, show up when they say they will, do the work professionally and thoroughly and they are extremely honest. I'm a single mom and I only use companies I trust. This is one of them. Today, I had a hose water line burst under my refrigerator. Connie and Lalo came out almost immediately to turn off the water and try to pull the under-counter fridge out of the cabinet. The two of them worked for a long time with 2 crowbars and other tools to try and dislodge the fridge. Despite all their hard work and efforts it wouldn't budge. Honestly, if Lalo couldn't do it, no one could - he really went above and beyond. When it became apparent I would need the help of a restoration service to get the fridge out and deal with water damage, Connie personally called a reliable company she'd worked with before on my behalf. That company showed up within the hour and were excellent (they did have to remove floorboards to get the stuck fridge out - it still took them almost an hour!). Connie gave me a more than fair discount on their services. It was the start of a good end to a bad experience!
I emailed Chris over the holiday weekend as my in-sink garbage disposal had stopped working. He quoted me a very reasonable price and, alternatively, offered to walk me through the process myself so I could avoid having to pay him to come over. He told me what tool to use and I was able to fix it myself with his guidance. If the garbage disposal really does shutdown on me or any plumbing issues come up, I will be sure to email or call him again. Very honest and helpful.
Just when you think you can't trust a good plumber to offer sound advice, great prices, and amazing service, I meet Connie and Chris. I really appreciate their work and work ethics.

As far as we're concerned Chris and his company are now our new plumber.
We had a sewer clean out pipe problem where it had backed up and was overflowing for way too long. Two other companies came out to unclog it temporarily and I got assessments and bids from a few others to figure out how we had to fix the problem. Every one of them tried to scare us into thinking the problem was WAY worse than it was. Chris took my call at home in the evening and promptly came out the next day. He walked us through what he found on the video before and after hydro-jetting and let us know that the condition of the pipe was not as dire as we had been told. Not only was his price more reasonable than other bids I got (where I felt like we were being taken for a ride) but Chris offered, as a part of his service, to return after 4-6 months to check the pipe condition! THIS was one of the selling points for me to hire Chris. NO ONE else offered that kind of service which makes me think Chris cares about his customers. He's friendly, prompt, efficient, and he's genuine in his assessment of problems with his clients. We will definitely call ADW / Chris again!
We highly recommend!
Chris is fantastic...super responsive and takes the time to discuss the problem and potential solutions. He's really knowledgeable and has state of the art tools that allow him to quickly find the issue, show you what's going on, and take care of it on the spot. He makes the process painless and is willing to go the extra mile. So great to have found a reliable plumber that I trust. His pricing is always fair...he's not looking to take advantage of a situation, and always makes sure you know your options before proceeding with any work. I highly recommend him for any size project.
Needed a plumber.check yelp for one in my area call American drain works and plumbing co. because of the good reviews(all 5 stars),Chris came over with Jim and they fix the problem in no time.now I know why they are so highly rated.if you are looking for a plumber that is friendly, trustworthy, provides high quality service at a fair price you will not go wrong with American drain works and plumbing co.
I am always in search of a good honest plumber and look to local area plumbers to patronize . . . well, I've found that plumber! American Drainworks is located in Culver City and is family owned . . . My initial call to Connie in the office proved to be a very pleasant experience - she is professional and courteous . . . Chris is so very wonderful and accommodating - he troubleshooted my problem and came up with a more cost-effective solution to replacing my whole drain assembly unit - what would have cost hundreds ended up just costing just $115.00. Chris came by three times - the first time was to evaluate the problem, the second time was to install the overflow cover plate, and the third time was to install the pull drain assembly - he was kind enough to search for the correct pull drain part when he discovered that the one he initially brought on the 2nd visit wasn't the right fit. Chris accommodated my schedule - and since he lives and works locally, was able to meet me after 5pm! What a great find - good plumbers are hard to find - especially HONEST good plumbers . . . I would highly recommend American Drainworks for anyone in need for plumbing work - Chris and Connie are the best!

We fell into working with Chris after a plumbing emergency on a weekend (it turned into a long demo and rebuild job), and we'll never go to anyone else. He walked us through major and minor parts of the job, explained as much as we wanted to know with kindness and patience, hooked us up with affordable parts sources, gave us candid advice about brands and styles, fixed up poor work by previous plumbers, and generally provided the kind of service that one rarely gets. Connie and Chris always returned calls promptly and managed billing efficiently (prices always seemed entirely fair, and they didn't charge for little extras). While I hope not to ever have another kitchen plumbing disaster like the one that brought us to American Drain Works, I'm grateful for the kind and high-quality service that they provided throughout.
Amazingly fast and efficient. Very informative - talked me through process, then gave me very fair price. No more leaking toilet! Give Chris a call.
