I am an actual customer. Great follow up, showed up. Call to notify arrival time. Budget friendly. Definitely recommend.
I have used SOS since 2013; however, last year I paid for them to come out this May to do an inspection. They sent me a letter to remind me that I had paid for this service and to schedule an appointment. I did so. They insisted on a Saturday between 8-3. No one showed or called. I left a disappointing voice mail and it was returned with apologies and I was told that I was rescheduled for the following Saturday. No one bothered to call or let me know. So the second Saturday I waited ALL day and yet, no call or anyone coming out. They also sent me an invoice for 2023 and wanted money for no service or consideration. I said I want my money back since they can't seem to call or keep a schedule. They refused to reimburse me when I didn't get any service. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! As Larry said, it is the worst customer service and I was a long time customer. Don't give your money to SOS for no service whatsoever.

Alex texted me the time he was coming and he was on time. I had texted him back requesting he ring my door bell when he arrived so I could show him something of concern to me. He took the time to answer my questions/concerns, which put me at ease. We also reviewed my spraying instructions, for this visit as that day I had a vendor working at my home and some doors had to remain open. I hope we can keep Alex as our regular tech.
Horrible service. Disorganized and poorly managed.
They have repeatedly no showed for appointments. And when they do show services are not done effectively. I would not recommend this company for pest extermination. If you value your home Take your business elsewhere.
Chad has provided terrific service and does a fantastic job.
Have not experienced any of the issues that other people have cited.
We had used other services in the past and had many challenges in getting good customer service. We plan on sticking with Chad and SOS.

Last time I use SOS for anything. They miss appointments but always have an excuse. If you decide to use this company be prepared for some of the worst customer service you will ever experience.
The field technicians are very knowledgable and customer driven. The SOS pricing policy and billing leaves a lot to be desired. My termite renewal this year(2019) increased by 41%!!! Over last year!!! Reasons for the increase were not acceptable to me. I will not renew my termite protection policy at the end of October 2020 or purchase other services from SOS Exterminating. Owned by ServiceMaster who sets arbitrary pricing. Very inflexible.
Problems with contacting me, can not seem to get the contact number straight. February visit they did not call the day before then on reschedule, called the wrong #.
Did not make the 2 hour window to visit.
I only wish I could have given SOS a zero, or less!
SOS has been my exterminator for several years and up until the last several months they have been pretty good. In recent months we have noticed a rather large rodent problem. After contacting SOS they said a tech would have to come out and asses the situation before coming up with a solution. The tech came out and saw that the bait boxes were in terrible disarray and out of bait. There were rodent entry points within six feet of one of the bait boxes that were never addressed nor was I notified of the issue.

I scheduled a termite treatment and was given a window for the service tech....12-4pm. At 4:15 I called the office asking where the tech might be. I was told they would reach him...said he's probably behind schedule but he'll call you. I said ok. Again I waited. At 5 pm the sos office called and said the technicians truck broke down and wasn't coming today and asked if I could do another 4 hour window tomorrow? Don't you think If his truck broke down I might have gotten a call sooner than 5pm? This is just not acceptable for a company. While the technician was waiting for help for his truck he could have called me to let me know. Or call the office.
We have used SOS since 2012 with nothing but excellent results. They did annual inspection last week found some new activity wand scheduled appointment for today. Carl called and gave arrival time and was at that time. Accomplished the necessary action and completed in a timely fashion. WWW
We had our annual inspection today with Mike as our tech. This young man was super friendly and efficient. Mike was very careful inspecting everything in a thorough and conscientious manner. Thank you for the great customer service.
This company has no customer service. Made appointments for weed service. Tech never shows. Company never calls. Called to speak to manager and was hung up on!
I had used this company for many years without any problems, there were times that the technician would need to cancel but they would call me and let me know. Recently finished building a new home and decided to get SOS to do the pest control again. I scheduled an appointment for a Saturday and the tech never showed up, never called, nothing. I rearrange my life to get this appointment and I get a no show. I found this to be very unprofessional. I call in to find out what happened and the woman i spoke with had no idea, so there is definitely a lack of communication internally as they should have known. I was very disappointed, while the woman i spoke to is not responsible and is trained to give you the standard sorry sorry sorry i will speak to my supervisor about this, in the end I'm the one who is out time and money.

The guys that work in the field are OK, depending who you get, but if you ever have to call the office you wonder how the gal that answers the phone keeps her job ... is she related to the owner? How rude!

buyer beware!!!!! this company will try to bill you for services not rendered and then send you to a collection agency! do not hire them to get near your home. buyer beware!!! i have proof should you need it.
They are too slow. I called for an appointment three times before anyone called me back. Then I was given a day and was told between 8am-4pm. So I am supposed to sit home all day waiting for these people to show up. This might be our last time using this company

SOS extermination is not worth your money. Never on time, miss appointments, and you can't get anyone to come spray problem areas in a timely manner. They don't follow up or return phone calls. Don't waste your money on these clowns.
Horrible company. They treat our house and we have a policy. We have termites and they can't be bothered to come out. When we did schedule they didn't bother coming at the time agreed and we missed them and again the response is sorry can't come for a month. Should sue them for the damage being caused by termites while they try to get us scheduled.
I have been a customer with SOS Exterminating for over 15 years. During this time we have had the pleasure of having Mark Ellis as our SOS Inspector. Mark is the best Inspector at SOS. If you want all of you pest control treatments to be done properly, then Mark Ellis is the person to have on your team! He is knowledgeable and knows his business when it comes to SOS' products and services. When I hear the name SOS Exterminating I see the Mark Ellis as the face of the SOS organization. You won't meet a more dedicated person who looks out for you!

I would suggest finding another company. Service technicians are very nice, but the customer service representatives at the office are horrible. They are rude and very unhelpful. Getting them to come out for an appointment takes 3+ weeks because they don't have enough technicians. Do not give these people your business.
My husband and I used this company for several years and were thrilled with their services....then they hired a new representative to answer their phones. We had to freeze our account as as sold our house and were moving into an apartment for 6 months while our new place was built. That representative I spoke with that time was very helpful and stated that as long as we called and reinstated our services within the 6 months, we could avoid having to pay for a new customer fee again. 5 months later I call to reinstate the services, and this is where the earn their 1 star rating. Long story short, the representative I worked with this time said that whatever the other person told me wasn't true and we were going to have to pay the new fee. She kept repeating the same thing over and over, even though what she was saying wasn't answering any of my questions. Instead of trying to assist me (the customer...customer service 101) she just called me a liar. My husband called later to question a bill we received and the same representative was terrible to him.
Exterminators are a dime a dozen in the valley, and they just lost loyal customers due to one terrible customer service representative.
While I thought that using a local company would be great I have gotten nothing but the run around. I have dealt with Reps not showing up and getting billed for services. I have been calling to resolve this issue for MONTHS. Each time I call I get a machine and leave a message with NO RESPONSE. Do not use this company!!! You cannot get a hold of anyone at the company and they are completely non responsive.
With this company for over twenty five years. This year I was treated like they no longer wanted my business. The customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced. Messages left for returned calls went unanswered for over a month. They are extremely rude and refuse to be helpful regardless of your issue. I would not recommend this company to anyone and I have taken my business elsewhere.
Don't use these guys. They don't perform the inspections they have said they will do, even when you have it in writing. They still wouldn't honor it. We paid extra to go with them because of their warranty. Should have saved the money. The Representative and Manager could not have been less interested in my business. Never again!!
Hired by my finance Co. SOS told me that I would have to go through my Finance co to cancel in order to have someone else to the inspection. Then they didnt show up saying I had cancelled. Check the ratings. Everyone else is 4 or more stars. SOS has one only cause I couldnt give it none!
This company is interested in getting in its clients' pockets above all. My client got termites 2 years after buying a home that they pre-treated. They did a minimum treatment but wouldn't certify the treatment with a clear termite report without them paying $100. The staff was not helpful or sympathetic to my client's situation. Will definitely not recommend this company ever!
