So I moved into this new spot, new build and BAMM Scorpions! No, thanks. I called a few places and Moxie was spot on from the start. I have no more issues with any type of bugs. Customer service is amazing. They have earned my business for life. I can't recommend them enough. Shout out to Andrew S, the best exterminator I know.

Terrible business practices.  A sales agent by the name of Shea Hildebrandt came to my door February 21st 2023 while I was at work and we communicated via my Ring doorbell for roughly 10 minutes for a pest control service.  She's explained to me which I accepted the first service for $99 and offered a $150 discount.  When asked if there was a sort of contract he danced around the answer that we could try it once and from there can decide whether to continue.  I provided my card information via the DoorCam and he asked if he could on my behalf sign the agree which I gave permission to.
Fast forward a month later I noticed an invoice for a quarterly charge of $155.
I called there support number and spoke with an employee Erica who explained the sales agent are to not sign contracts on behalf of customers and I sent the video of the conversation to her via email.  I was called back stating because my doorbell camera cut off before providing the card information there was nothing she could do in order to stop the service without a $150 termination fee.
How I could sign an agreement when I explained to her I was at work is that not proof enough.  I asked for her to speak to the agent who signed on my behalf is he had done this and she called back later the day stating he no longer works with Moxie.
I will never recommend this company to anyone and put out this information to my local neighborhood group.  This is a terrible company and I advise anyone to stay away!

Aggressive sales tactic. Came to our door and wanted us to book right then and set up quarterly payments. Incredibly pushy and dishonest. I listened while my husband talked to the guy at the door. My husband said he needed to talk to me, his wife, before committing to anything and the guy said 'if she wasn't here you'd book with us right? Do you deal with pests or does she? I book up fast'.

I can't speak to the quality of their service, but I had a negative interaction with a door-to-door salesman for Moxie.

I live in a neighborhood whose HOA posted a No soliciting sign at the entrance. Despite this, I was interrupted by a Moxie salesman ringing my doorbell. When I noted the sign the salesman acknowledged they were aware of it, but that company leadership informed him they weren't legally enforceable. Wow. Sounds like a great company to do business with.

I have to say I have been very pleased with my service from Moxie and the status of my pests around the home. We have not had any issues with scorpions or any other critters since having Moxie servicing our home. Our tech Luis that did today's treatment was polite and thorough.

Have been using moxie for almost a year now due to a mouse problem and it cleared up within a month and now just get regular services to keep an insect problem from showing up. Had Frank K stop by last time and did an amazing and efficient job! Would recommend to everyone

As a business owner, I really hate giving bad reviews.  But in all fairness, I reached out to them and gave them an opportunity to remedy the poor service and the misleading promises.  Their response is that they were sorry and it will be $160 to cancel.  Even though I was told in no uncertain terms I could cancel at any time.  The primary impetus of the problem is that their service simply doesn't work.  They sprayed outside and yet there was no change or reduction in the bugs.  I arranged a time for them to come to spray inside the house and they simply didn't show up.  But they were gracious enough to call and try to upsell termite treatment.  I was told the tech said I needed it. (I live in a brick house with metal studs)

It's too bad that some people feel the need to be this dishonest.

These guys and gals are top-notch.  

We've had several different technicians service our place and they've all done a very good job.  All were thorough, listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and were very professional.  Best of all, we rarely have an insect or pest issue.

Before we called them, scorpions were a fairly regular occurrence, NOW - seldom do we see one.

Yesterday, Frank was our technician.  He was prompt, friendly, thorough, and very professional.  He, like others, reminded us that if we have ANY issues before the next quarterly visit - to just call them and they'll come out and take care of our issue - NO CHARGE.

The chemicals they use are pet-friendly after a few minutes (they need to dry).  We have a dog and two cats and have had no issues with them getting sick.

We live almost 60 miles from Tucson - but yet they show up on time - and ready to take care of business.

They don't take long - but do a great job.

We highly recommend Moxie.  You won't be disappointed.

First of all, if Moxie does not like your HONEST 1 star review on Google they have it taken down by flagging it as inappropriate. We have first-hand knowledge of multiple reviews by unhappy individuals that simply told the TRUTH and Moxie flags them as inappropriate in order to have the review pulled. Let's see if Yelp plays by the same rules. BBB reviews are forthcoming..

The Continental Ranch/Reserve community is BEYOND fed up with the door knocking by sleazy & pushy door-to-door salesmen lying about the services they provided to neighbors. Nextdoor.com is LOADED with several 100's of complaints from this company. Since Moxie can't take a hint over the last several months, rest assured the community will collectively take action to end Moxie's blatant disregard for violation of 2019-137 § 1.

Do NOT believe all the google reviews that were strong armed out of customers at time of payment (that's what they do).. want to verify for yourself?? Email some of the people who posted 5 Star reviews.. ask them if Moxie pressured them into a 5 star review while they were on the property. OR, search the real story on Moxie Pest Control on nextdoor.com. There are PAGES upon PAGES of comments like this and if need be, we will continue to post the truth about this company.

Word is out and spreading fast amongst Marana residents. If Moxie wants to keep that 5 star rating they have worked so hard to swindle out of people - STOP the harassing and threatening door-to-door soliciting in Marana IMMEDIATELY! This sales approach has not been appreciated for decades now. Top that off with extremely aggressive and pushy representatives is only making matters worse.

It is very easy to place an ad in the community news letter though the association and communicate with every single household up here without banging on doors. Go to crcatucson.com/contact-us to inquire about advertising.

Continue this harassing approach and we as a community will collectively continue to post REAL 1 star experiences on ANY AND ALL review sites to include the BBB.

Marana PD has been made aware of our complaint. We as a community demand that Moxie Pest Control immediately cease and desist their continued violation of posted solicitation laws within the town of Marana.

I have left a review on google in the past about how great this company is in the past and have been using this company for 3 years , I think there great and love that they will come out when ever I have a problem. Today I was going to cancel my services because we have lost a lot of hours with both our jobs.( do to Covid) They decided to give us a couple months free since we have had there service for so long. I can't even begin with how kind this is. I am amazed with the kindness that I just received from this company.

This place is a scam! They brought people around our neighborhood to sell pest control services, with a very alluring start up and initial treatment fee of only $30. This seemed great at first, they promised they would treat inside, outside, termite, and use our in-wall treatment system.
Well come to our initial treatment, the technician informs us they do not service in-wall systems and termite would be extra that we would have to pay hundreds to add on.
So we decided to cancel and go back to Home Team, which is a better all around service.
Should be easy, right? Only received the discounted $30 initial service....
Nope! Had to pay a $209 cancellation fee!!! For 1 discounted service. Tried to call to get this waived as we canceled within the same week we signed up. No give.

We love this company!  We actually started using them when we were in our rental house and carried them over to our new home.  They are punctual and respectful of not only the owners but their property. Would recommend them, especially Frank K.  He is super nice and informative about what all he is there to do.

This review is directed at management not the technicians who provide the pest control services. I had to move from my property due to the former partner breaking the lease. I informed Moxie I would no longer be living there after February. I had one service left in the contract which I understand I signed and agreed to pay for. I continued to get texts and emails saying a technician would be out there in March. I explained that the property is vacant-no one is there to open gates, garage etc. This went on for 3 phone calls.
Fast forward to May. I no longer live in the area, my original contract is expired and I continue to get messages from Management saying my account is active although 1) I no longer live in Oro Valley 2) there is a new tenant in the property who is probably getting solicited by this company 3) I was assured by CSA Nicole that this issue was resolved-she is no longer with the company. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH MOXIE!! You will never here back from Michael and you will continue to be harassed by these folks!!

I have never been more disappointed in a service. We bought this house on June 14th, while we were settling into the house just a few days later a man arrived at our door claiming that the neighbors had scorpions and offering us a neighborhood deal to spray for the scorpions. He told us that we'd pay $49 and he'd get someone out right away. He then explained to us that we'd receive our next payment in October for the discounted rate of $119 and again every quarter for a year. He said in between visits we could call for another spray as often as needed and that in 30 days they'd be spraying again because the initial spray would bring bugs out. He also explained that it was entirely safe for our pets and that they needed to be away from the spray for ten minutes only. He then had us pay and sign paperwork that he'd explained.

As promised the guy came out right away to treat the home. The guy told me that I needed to get all 6 of my pets and myself out of the house for 2 hours. I told him I was not prepared because the salesman told us we didn't need to remove the pets and that the spray would be safe to touch in 10 minutes. He disagreed and was not able to properly spray the home inside. When I told him I'd need to reschedule, he explained to me that I could call him to come back at anytime during the quarter for as many resprays as needed because his work was guaranteed. He also told me that a second visit within the first 30 days is also preformed and that if I didn't call him, he'd be back anyway.

After he sprayed we had a large number of scorpions and spiders in the house and called back to get the house resprayed. The guy came out, but didn't not spray the inside areas that I called to have him spray. He claimed that after two attempts to ring the doorbell that I did not answer, even though I was home all day. I did not receive a text or phone call. I was then charged another payment of $119. Which was not what the salesman told us. He had assured us that our next payment would be in October.

I now have spiders, scorpions and additional charges that I did not agree to until October, less than 22 days after my initial visit.

Despite several complaints; emails, calls, texts, reviews...the company made multiple excuses before finally sending me an additional bill for $190 for refusing to keep there service. I make sure I spread our experience to everyone we speak too. It's been a nightmare.

Moxie Pest Control is the worst.  We have been a customer of theirs since they started in Tucson. We are 1 of their first customers. Someone came out here because we suspected we had termites in our backyard bar. They said that they would be back out in a few days.  That was almost 3 WEEKS ago. I gave been calling them every day and not getting a call vack. This morning I threatened to report them to the BBB and a yelp review, and low and behold, someone called me back. I told that person that I want my contract cancelled immediately!! They said that they are going to put me tgrough to an account manager. 5 minutes later he comes back and says that they are all on the phone or in meetings and someone will get back to me shortly. That was 4 hours ago. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Just as other reviewers have stated, this company has a bit of a scam going on with their whole startup trial services. They make promises for a certain price then want to change things up later. I was excited at first thinking I got a deal and was going to have this great service but then was quite disappointed in the end. I would read the small print and don't listen to their salesmen at all.

Happy with the Service! Prompt and thorough. Paul T was friendly, professional, answered my questions and explained how the process works. He was great! I appreciate that they came out to see if they could service our condo first. And then recommended three months, which is what we signed up for. I love that they have a warranty on their service. Definitely recommend using Moxie.

The Moxie salesperson who knocked on my door was heaven sent. Recently I have been finding roaches in and around the pool area as well as the bathrooms.

The salesperson, was courteous, professional and informative. He told me exactly what to expect from Moxie's pest control process. After he left, I received an email thanking me for my business and a text message stating the time and date of the appointment that we setup.

The field expert, Justin, arrived on time and again brought me up to speed on what he would be doing while he was there, the products he would be using and why. He listened carefully to my concerns and addressed them. Justin told me there would be a followup 30 days from today.

If the rest of our business interactions remain like this, I will be happy to happy to use their service and recommend them to others in the future.

I'm pretty sure all the good reviews are paid advertisements... our entire neighborhood sends out alerts that their sales people are coming into the area because they trespass and are probably the most obnoxious persistent aggressive sales people I've ever met in my entire life.  This little punk named Bailey told my girlfriend after she told him no please leave five times that he was just going to come back and talk to her husband because he might be more reasonable.  They also decided to just spray the driveway with God knows what as a demonstration as we where telling him to get off our property.

Evidently the people at Moxie are illiterate as well as hard headed. After being disturbed by one of their employees knocking repeatedly on my front door, I explained that our private, gated community does not welcome solicitors as is stated on the sign at the gate he used to enter the neighborhood. He told me Have a nice day and then proceeded to knock on a neighbor's door.

Moxie might be the best pest control service ever, but we'll never know because if they can't be respectful enough to heed the no solicitation sign, they are undeserving of our business.

While the service was very good and the tech was fine my issue is with the contract and amount paid.
We(3 of us sitting at the table listening to the fella writing the contract) were told it would be 3 months from initial payment before we were to pay for the following contracted payment. We set up the service in August, paying the initial amount, then in September, the following month, NOT 3 MONTHS AS INITIALLY TOLD, we were drafted for the quarterly charge.
We called and emailed about this payment but we're told they couldn't do anything, and ignored my follow-up email all together.
I can do something; leave a review.

These jokers watch the newly sold property listings and will target new home owners with the I'm here treating your neighbors house and they complained about this house adding to their issue........... BS. When I explained that I held a registered pesticide spray license and all I wanted was termite maybe in a year and give me a card - he could not produce a card and showed me his ID badge... I checked into them afterwards and found plenty of bad reviews on their practices. Would never use them. EVER. High pressure full court press to do a full yard treatment - today only since I'm here........... ummm no thanks. You should be ashamed of your business practices and consumers should find competent companies to do their pest control.

Sold the service on Saturday, received the service on Monday. Actually saw dead crickets when I went to the patio (YAY!!!), so, if this is an example of their effectiveness, I will support Moxie for a long time to come. Both the gentleman (forgot his name....) selling the service and the technician (Jesse J.) were knowledgeable and respectful. Also got a reminder call. Thanks, Moxie!

Moxie sends out their goon squad solicitors every once in a while in our neighborhood. Again recently. They are extremely rude and pushy, and ignore no solicitation signs. A very low-life company.

Came to our door to sell pest control services with an alluring start up deal . Then made us think it was absolutely free promising to return within 30 days for a follow up if the treatment didn't get rid of our pests (again absolutely free of charge) but within 30 days of the initial service. They then charged my account for $139.00 for the return visit. Without warning and made me feel scammed into a contract I wasn't aware of by not making us feel it was obligation free. Now locking us into service for a year... super pricey.. I will never again go with some random company. Better of going to one I trust.

Bought the service as the door to door dude was really good salesmen. Likely did not need it either way. Saw the bullshit clause where they charge you to cancel, but was told not to worry about it. Yes, I knew that was likely crap. Cancelled after 1.5 years and they try to negotiate you into a new deal. Hit me for $190 to cancel. I'll fight the Credit card charge for the hell of it. They suck

These people solicit communities even when notified that they are not allowed to do so.  There is no truck within the vicinity so one does not even know their affiliation.  I called the company and their response was We'll have him out of there by the end of the day!  Sorry, that doesn't cut!  They should have the person removed immediately.

Update: Dispute successful, I was refunded the cancellation fee!

They didn't fulfill the inital 2 services in 30 days, they didn't come out when we saw pests between services, then they placed large unauthorized Cancellation charge on my card!

We signed with them in September 2019. I was initially impressed with Michael (salesperson and some type of owner) and wanted to give him a shot. The first service was fine, NW Exterminating was more impressive in that they knocked down webs and wasps nests, etc, but no specific issues with Moxie. Then they were scheduled to come out within 30 days for a follow up at which point they charge the first monthly service charge. They could not service the house, my fault (dog was out). But when I had tons of critters and attempted to exercise the service guarantee, it was like pulling teeth. I requested service over the course of 2 weeks until I finally just said forget it and sent a message requesting cancellation. They called a few times after I canceled, but we never actually spoke (of course they never called when I was trying to get them to service). About 30 days later, Michael told me I cannot cancel until you speak to your account rep and scheduled the next quarter's service. I replied that we don't need to speak and I am cancelling for the lack of fulfilling the service commitment. I also specifically revoked authorization (in writing per their conteact) to charge my card. 4 hours later, they charged my card a $239 cancellation fee....mind you, they already charged me for a quarter that THEY DIDN'T SERVICE! Crazy bad service. Thankfully I have it all documented so the dispute will be smooth!
