THE SHORT VERSION:
For those who are lazy to read the whole review, here is the quick advice - You are hiring a professional pest control company to take care of your pest problems for a reason. So, in most cases, you will need an experienced technician to solve your pest problem. If you are not going to get a technician who has stayed with Truly Nolen for more than 2 years (like Robert and Jessie), then make sure you get a better price. Otherwise, you might as well work with another pest control companies in the west valley and get a huge discount for the same value.
THE LONG VERSION:
This particular Truly Nolen office covers both Peoria and Glendale. I used to live in Glendale for 7 years and we were covered by the same Truly Nolen office during those time. It was great back then, so when I moved to Peoria, I decided to stick with them even though they quoted me the highest price ($126 per quarter).
When I moved into my new home at Peoria, pretty much all the pest control companies that I talked to offered a better price for the same service. Truly Nolen's four-season service is not a secret and some competitors will do exactly same thing for lower price. I stick with Truly Nolen based on the good experience I had at Glendale, and I was dead wrong. The service was going downhill. My scheduled appointment would be magically disappeared from time to time even after I confirmed it a week ahead. Sometimes there were situations that the appointment was no-call-no-show, so I had to contact the ex-manager Josh about it and make other arrangement. In addition, I also got some pretty bad luck on Technicians (not going to say their names here) so the pest were not really under control.
So why still a 3 stars rating? Because one of the technicians, Robert, took the initiative by being proactive and work things out. Don't get me wrong, Truly Nolen does have good technicians besides Robert (Jordan, Jesse etc), but this company has a hard time on keeping the real talent here. I was literally about to switch a pest control company, but Robert stepped in and get my pest situation back under control. He also took care of the scheduling problems. If I had to rate Robert alone, he would be a solid 5-star, but the management team and Truly Nolen's IT are just simply a disappointment. With their high turnover, I won't be surprised if my current technician decides to take his career somewhere else. As a Truly Nolen's customer for more than 9 years, I just hope Truly Nolen takes seriously on training and retaining talents. Again, technician matters, so before you sign up for the service, make sure you know the technician that covers your area.
Another quick note - Truly Nolen has been around for years and it is funny how I am the first one writing something about their Peoria location during year 2017. The management team probably has no clue that their e-mail survey is broken. The link doesn't work on some of the browsers and even if it does work, it loads very slowly. This is just another example on how poor their IT is implemented.
