We had a roof leak due to recent heavy rains.  Kyle was right on time for the appointment, quickly found the problem, and told me how to easily fix it myself at very little cost.  He didn't even charge me for the service call.  I offered, he declined.  Johnson Roofing will definitely get my future roofing business, should I ever need any.  Thank you Kyle!!

I can't say enough about how great Johnson Roofing was. They just finished a project on my roof and made a bad situation go away. It was pain free for me. They handled it inexpensively and quickly and did exactly what they said they would do - from arrival time to detailed project information and pictures that documented every step of the way. I've had two wonderful experiences with Johnson roofing over the past few years.  A few years ago, they replaced a large leaking skylight in my kitchen.  Ceilings were 15ft.  They were very careful with the clay tiles and until Oct 2022 when I moved from that home, the skylight was great.  This past week, Manny came out to figure out a leak in my new home.  He found the source of the leak and had it repaired within a week.  Communication has always been great; team members are polite and punctual.  Pricing is very fair.   Johnson is my official go to for all roofing issues.

Wow they did an awesome job , picks of need repairs and estimate at the time of inspection. They returned when they said they would , provided before and after pics of repairs. When done it cost exactly what was estimated

We needed a roof repair and contacted 4 roofing companies for estimates. Manny with Johnson Roofing was very knowledgeable and thorough in his estimate. Their pricing is very fair. They were quick and efficient! Tito did a great job, taking pictures all along the repair. Left no mess. I would highly recommend Johnson Roofing.

This company no showed/called twice. We called to have a technician come out to check a leak in our roof. The first date they were supposed to come out the driver was just MIA. We rescheduled for a few days later and they just didn't show up at all. I tried calling 3x and left a voicemail with no response. It's unfortunate how unreliable they are.

Johnson roofing replaced the underlayment of our tile roof about four years ago. Not only were they the lowest of the five bids we received, they were also the most professional and knowledgeable of the companies we spoke with.

Last week we heard a rumble on the roof and went outside to see a couple dozen tiles shifted. Tyler made an emergency visit same day to our house and assured us that it was caused by a powerful dust devil. He reset many of the tiles on the spot and sent one of his guys a few days later to replace several that were broken from the wind and didn't charge us for it!

Outstanding customer service! Would highly recommend!

Update - Today after speaking with Tyler the owner, I was told our issue is now a structural issue and not a roof problem. This is after we've had them out 10 times (not an exaggeration). Because of this, they are unable and unwilling to fix anything. The first time I saw them do any sort of water test was yesterday and the first time I heard anything about it being an issue with a beam instead of the roof was yesterday. I asked Tyler several times to come out personally since he is the owner of the business and he refused stating it was pointless. At no time did he offer me any sort of resolution to this issue. We are having another company come out to assess the issue and may possibly file a complaint.

I'll start off by saying that everyone I've dealt with here has been very nice and courteous, but we've had some huge issues with the company. We had them fix a leak in our roof a couple of years ago and noticed several months after, it was still leaking. They came out twice initially to repair it, but we noticed it still wasn't fixed. We've had them out now probably at least 8 times and the leak still isn't repaired. We've had scheduling issues and problems with them following up which has been extremely frustrating especially since I think we've been beyond understanding. This final time was sort of the breaking point for me. We'd just spent money to have new windows and paint done near the leak. Because the roof is still leaking, it's caused the new paint to bubble and water damage around the windows. This has been a high amount of stress for us. If I had it to do all over, I probably would have hired someone else.

Great value for the work they do. The only thing preventing me from giving them a 5 is the back and forth it took to get a crew out to do the work. First time it was because the entire crew called out sick? Second reason was weather (understandable). There was almost going to be a third time but instead they sent out 1 guy to do the work. He did an amazing job!  The only other thing was when I originally reached out I specifically asked to unblock their caller ID because I won't answer blocked calls. They called me a few times (unbeknownst to me) until finally about a week later I ended up calling them to schedule an appointment. Price-wise they had the best quote. I would still recommend them even with the hiccups I experienced.

I hired this company for a buyers inspection of a flat roof.
On arrival we walked around the front and it was noted the drip edge was not installed properly. This was in the report. He also pointed out asphalt shingles that were damaged and probably had caused the damage to the facia board. This was left out of the report.
Home inspection showed other issues up on the roof. None of these were mentioned, even though we were shown pictures.
What was attached was one line in the report and 6 pictures. With misspelled extremely short general descriptions. It also said 3 to 4 years were left on the roof even though the general pictures showed issues with bubbles and foam showing in several places across the roof.
I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND EACH TIME I was promised this would be corrected, by end of business day. Nope nothing!
I called and spoke with a person who was identified as a supervisor. Who read me the report over and over and over. He finally promised corrections by end of day. NOPE NOTHING.
What I did get in a separate email was a detailed estimate for a new roof. This was sent the same day as the inspection report.
Not only do I not recommend this company for inspections I would not hire them based on my experience with them.

Not only was Paul on time, but his pre-visit communication was excellent! His professionalism, knowledge, and concern were tremendous. He instilled great confidence in his assessment and plan. Further, the charges were FAR less than I had ever anticipated. I will absolutely use Johnson Roofing
again, And hopefully it will be Paul who answers my needs. I am happy to speak with anyone about the quality and ethics of their service.

They came to my house and checked out the roof. They said they don't do jobs that small for elastomeric roofs.  Told me it would be about $650 for a minimum job and an estimate would be sent.  I never got said estimate.  Hired someone to repair it at $150.

The 3 stars is for them actually being on time and explaining the roof issues.

We noticed after posting out review that Tyler replied asking us to please get in touch with him at our earliest convenience. It seems to us if he was really concerned he as the owner of the business would have reached out to us. In addition we filled out the survey sent by him after the job was finished. In it we outlined our frustrations and he never once reached out.

Johnson roofing set an appointment, showed on time. They gave a fast and fair estimate.  They explained everything in detail. Once accepted, the office scheduled a date for the job.  The roofer showed on time and completed all work in a timely and professional manner. The job site was left clean and in great condition.  The next rain, no leak, all good.  Thank you Johnson  roofing, you have earned a customer.

I was in a rush to get my roof repaired to sell our home, and they responded very quick. I had an inspector out within 1 day.

The inspector, Philip, was a great guy. He thoroughly inspected my roof, gave me honest and detailed opinions, and gave me a fair price. From begining ro end, Philip did an amazing job.

Scheduling was quick, and they provided photos of before and after. Just one small mistake that they rectified immedietly.

Tyler Johnson is the owner and the guy who sent his crew to the wrong address and they tore apart my roof. It is getting Inspected by a REPUTABLE company, none the less we have  sought legal representation.

On Monday, March 09th 2020, I returned to my home after work to find several grown me on my roof. I did not have a roof repair in, nor did I request Johnson Roofing at any time come to my home or authorize them on my property. They had ripped off my roof on ARCADIA and called their boss to ask where the NEW TILES and NEW PAPER was and other materials. At that time, they realized that they were on the wrong roof. Their boss Tyler Johnson instructed them to hurry up and put all the old tile back on, WITHOUT my consent.

Due to their accident, I am updating this review and will tell you that they replaced my roof, and gave me a 15 year warranty too.

Called this company this morning 12/27/21 to come look at a leak we developed. I was told someone would be out between 2:00-4:00. Waited around and nobody had shown up or called by 4:00. Called to see where they were. I was told she would have to check and see what happened.  Got a call back telling me the guy who was supposed to come to my house wasn't available.  I asked why someone hadn't let me know. She said she didn't know that she was just told to call me. She said someone could come out the next day. I wasn't available during the time she had and told her I didn't want to do business with a company that did business like this. She said that was understandable.

We had sections of our relatively new flat roof redone by Johnson roofing in April after a storm. There were 7 areas with 7 drains that were redone.
We noticed that 1 of these areas continued to leak and this was repaired through our warranty with them in August.
We again have water damage in the same area, but they were able to repair it. I feel that they are doing their best and appreciate their ongoing efforts

I had a significant leak in in my master bedroom after all the storms we had this summer. I called several companies and Aaron from johnson roofing was the first to respond. He and his crew came out faster than I expected and gave me a very reasonable quote. Aaron stayed for almost an hour and answered all my questions without seeming even slightly inconvenienced. They gave me a work schedule that fit my needs and started and finished as they described. My roof looks great and NO MORE LEAK!!!! The crew was very friendly and nonintrusive. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the service I got from Aaron and from Johnson roofing!!!

We have been getting clobbered with monsoon storms.. I have had my share of damage.. A massive down tree, water main break and destroyed landscape water system..

Now roof tile damage.. Johnson Roofing provided fantastic customer service from getting the details, quoting the price, to the repairs and they didn't try to up sell..

Very professional from beginning to end. They very effectively use web-based customer communications, including annotated pictures of the roof to show what they are going to do for their quoted price. Afterward they show you pictures of the completed work so you don't even have to get up on a ladder to inspect the work done.

They didn't submit the invoice for payment until the job had been reviewed internally to make sure it met their quality standards. The invoice was exactly for the amount estimated, no extras.

I definitely recommend Johnson Roofing.

Loved that they were prompt when I called to get an estimate and Daniel was responsive when I was talking about what I wanted done. Loved the detailed estimate he sent,  and ultimately that is what made us go with them even though they were $3,500+ more than the others. Disliked that they kept delaying the start date. Hating the fact that I'm 3 weeks into this and it's still not done, only partially and the excuses keep coming. They are not going to get an all bad review, they have some good points, but being timely isn't one of them.

You know the drill!  Admit you need a new roof, search companies on Yelp, etc., get 3 estimates, pick one and pray you picked the right company! This time my prayer was answered with Johnson Roofing!  The girls in the office are friendly and very easy to work with on appointments, estimators were knowledgeable on all questions about roofs and gave me the lowest bid for the job, but the stars of this company are the very hard working men who did the actual work on the roof!  Refreshing to see the guys who tore off the old roofing working so hard to tear off, and replace needed wood, and the the men who blew the foam on, work as hard as they could, putting their very best effort into the job with pride.  Hard to find this kind of pride today!

I would give them zero stars if I could, they charged us $600 in 2016 to repair a roof leak and totally miss diagnosed the location of the problem and ultimately contributed heavily to over $40k in mold and water damage to our home with our reliance on their accuracy of service and work.  Of course the problem was really exposed just outside of their subpar 2 year warranty when real roofing companies guarantee work for 5-10 years. They neglected to inform me to reseal my flat roof and they neglected to inspect directly above where they claimed the source of the water damage was. The damages continued to compound inside the walls since 2016.

We had a great experience using Johnson Roofing to repair two separate leaks over my garage. They we professional, timely, friending and completed the work on time and per the estimated price. They supplied before and after pictures before the repair was covered up with roof tile so I appreciated that. Overall great experience and I highly recommend them. Let me summarize my experience in a nutshell.  Johnson Roofing quoted me $950 for a job and then said, in order to fix it right, they needed an additional $3,173. They cancelled several appointment times. They filed a lien on my property for work they did not do. After the lien expired, they then filed a small claims and included a second invoice where someone from Johnson signed my name? The second invoice was dismissed by the courts and Tyler had no answer for them as to why he provided a false signature on the invoice. Let me know if anyone would like me to post a copy of the invoice, happy to do so.

My 30-year old tile roof was just replaced by Johnson Roofing. From the very beginning of the process to the completion, they were quick to respond to any questions and did a great job. I would highly recommend them

Seriously, Johnson's Roofing rocked it! Herman did amazing work on my patio and took the time to show me the steps he was taking to ensure quality. He also showed areas where the previous roofing company fell short and ultimately led to the roof failing. I appreciate such communication and professionalism.  From the first point of contact with the office they made a great impression. Aaron's estimate consultation was not just an email sent later, but rather created on the same visit that allowed me to have further questions answered. Johnson's Roofing really exceeding my expectations. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of quality roofing!

You always wonder when you go with a lower bidder on a large retile what you are really going to get in quality. Hands down happiness folks - hire these guys!

We've used a different roofing company for over 10 years. Our roof was patched over five times in different sections (rather large roof) as we tried to avoid doing the big expense of doing it right (our existing roof tile no longer manufactured). On the sixth leak we decided to do it right and bite off a rather large expense. We received a bid from the company that did the patch work and they gave us a discounted price (because of all the patch work prior). Johnson gave us a bid for more (will cover next) for a price that was a few thousand less than the other company's discounted price. Johnson was also recommended by a friend so we pull the trigger and went with them.

First thing we noticed was Johnson was operating in the modern age - an electronically delivered quote - extreme details in the quote and the quote included options for double felting (longer roof life) and putting in the proper attic venting that our roof never had. It also had some details (that we didn't appreciate until later) about painting the tubes/end caps/etc in a color that matched the brown/gray tile we installed.  That little detail resulted in a really great look. The prior roof company left the cement end caps in natural gray on a red/pink roof tile. Always looked undone.  These guys painted every vent tube up there, colorized the concrete in the end caps (on the edges) and the end result is just a great polished wow look.

A great looking quality roof (tile lines running straight diagonally), attention to the repair details, and some roof installers that made it a point to get the install done, but done right.

A few more words to the quality part of that last statement...  We were sitting in our dining area watching one of the crew doing their work on an area of the roof that was patched previously by the other company.  The installer didn't like something he was seeing so the next thing we see is he is pulling off the roof wood and reinforcing a truss inside the roof, a structural support repair due to damage wood from a prior leak that the other company didn't bother to address. The installer spent a good couple of hours doing this repair. He could of easily just re-felted and left it like the other guys did - I'd be none the wiser - but it was clear that this installer took great pride in the job they were doing.  

So this is a case were going with the more competitive bid was a brilliant decision. Highly recommend you get a bid from these guys if you are redoing a roof. Their lower price isn't an indicator of lessor quality.

Failed to show for their appointment. Office person said someone would call me back to reschedule in 10 to 15 minutes. That didn't happen and was a lie. Called back and the lying secretary gal refused to answer the phone.
This company is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever seen.

I set in motion to receive 3 bids for my patio cover which needs to be replaced.  Johnson Roofing was the 2nd company to come out to give me a quote.  The tech arrived a few minutes late, no big deal, but upon his walking up the driving he proceeded to tell me that his painkillers finally kicked in.  We discussed the issues and why I was wanting a quote, he said he'd get his ladder and take a look. I questioned as to whether it was safe since he mentioned his painkillers kicked in. He said it was no problem, in hindsight I should have stopped him right there...liability.  However, he did go up and took a look without any issue.  When he came down he fully explained what needed to be done, so I asked him to give me a ballpark pre-quote. He said its roughly 600 sq ft so it would be between $1,800 & $2,200 but that he would have an official quote to me within an hour.  I still didn't get the quote until I contacted the office the next day and asked for it. To my shock, the quote came back at $3,412. I emailed and asked why, he said the sq ft was 800 not 600. So when the next company came out to give me a quote I asked them to measure right then and there and it came to 664.73 sq ft.  I then went back to the 1st company and asked them what it measured out to and they said roughly 664 sq ft.  Potential customers beware.  Make sure you know the sq ft of your project.

Tyler is great and the company is very competitive on pricing and quick to get it done. Highly recommend

We had multiple estimates from all the top rated companies for a leaky roof issue - went with Johnson Roofing to have the work done due to the estimator's attention to detail and itemized list of charges. He was fair and explained things really well. I did a lot of research on their products used and installation practices/adherence to code, etc. They have that part figured out.

Here's why we are rating only 3/5 overall. Quality of materials: 5/5, workmanship 5/5, office staff: 2/5, scheduling: 2/5. Full story below.

We feel like the work performed was done right and we have a very high quality installation and do not expect ANY issues with this roof anytime soon. The issues we had were all will scheduling and office communication. I understand companies get busy, but there need to be procedures in place to not allow so many errors to occur.

After signing the estimate we waited a few days for the office to call us to schedule, but they never did. I called our estimator and he said we weren't on the schedule yet and the office had to set it up. Right then he looked up availability and told us that January 19th was the soonest available appointment for a job as large as ours and he would call the office right now to set it up. Well, then at 7AM on December 29th I hear our doorbell and theres a group of guys outside saying they are ready to start work on our roof. At the same time the estimator called my cell and said oops it looks like they scheduled you for today but forgot to call and tell you. This is 3 weeks earlier than we expected. After some confusion between myself, the workers, and the estimator we agreed to let them start working. The job took two full days and was done very well. The workers were all polite and worked very efficiently.

After the job was complete, a few days later I get the invoice and they overcharged for tile, so I called and they corrected this and sent a new invoice. I wrote a check, the estimator came by and picked it up the next day, gave us warranty documentation and said we were good to go and all done, job complete we would get a final receipt from the office staff after the check clears.

Got a call the next day from the office saying that our check was $90 short and we had to pay for extra wood they forgot to put on the invoice... I called the estimator back and he said sorry you have to pay it, so reluctantly I paid the additional $90 and FINALLY we have a receipt showing paid in full.

TL;DR - Great installation, quality of materials and workers, but really bad experience with office for both scheduling and invoices/payment. If the office had their act together this would have been a 5 star experience. But showing up almost 3 weeks earlier than expected and dealing with multiple phone calls trying to get the billing sorted out made this a bit of a hassle.

We had an appointment set for March 31st. No one was showing up so we called them around 11 AM and was told that the guy is running late, will be here probably around 12 PM. After 3 PM and still no show, we called again only to find out that we were actually scheduled for April 2nd and 3rd. No communication, apologies, or reasoning for rescheduling provided. We had to find out ourselves by calling. On April 2nd, again, no show. Called to find out no one will be showing up and the respondent of the phone did not know why we were told we're scheduled on the 2nd in the first place. We were assured that someone will show up on the 3rd. On the 3rd, as you may have guessed, no show. Each time, we were the ones that had to reach out to figure out the schedule. Very disorganized and the lack of communication made this even more frustrating. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They were quick to come out and wasn't like most companies that immediately tell you to redo the whole roof. Aaron was able to find the place where the leak was occurring and offered 2 different solutions. The quotes that came were better than all the others. The work was done quickly and they left it looking great and no surprising add on charge. So when I did consider doing the whole roof, my wife and I immediately wanted to hear from them. Again, a fantastic quote. Thank you Aaron for your honest opinion and Johnson Roofing for being such a fantastic, honest company.

A little turned off by the sales practices. I called Johnson out for a quote to fix a small leak in my roof and it turned into a complete patio roof renovation. Not what I was looking for. The associate was more interested in drumming up business rather than tackling my problem at hand. Finally we came to a number to get my leak fixed and that was $250 for shingle maintenance, the minimum that they charge.

I cannot comment on the work that Johnson does, but I felt that I would not be getting a good deal if I went with them because all the associate was concerned with was creating problems with my current roof and quoting those.  

He was able to suggest ways for me to fix it and where to allocate the materials, I did appreciate that.

I highly recommend Johnson Roofing!  Every step of working with them to have my roof replaced was seamless, professional, and comforting.  I live across the country in northern Virginia, and they went out of their way to send me photos of the work in progress and after completion.  I can now rest easy knowing I have a solid roof on my house and it's backed by a 10 year warranty.  Thanks, Johnson Roofing!

I had an excellent experience with Johnson Roofing.  They provided an estimate for me while I was out of town including pictures of areas that needed attention and quoted the requested repairs as well as the price for a new roof.  I elected to only do the repairs and the work was completed in a timely manor and the work was of high quality.    Pictures of the roof were taken before and after the repairs which I liked.

I had a good experience with Johnson Roofing! Started with the front office doing a good job with their scheduling. They worked to meet my deadline and with a little hiccup in my HOA not looking at the tile we still made it to closing.
I will say one thing is Dallas went out of his way to help us. We thought that we would have to pay Direct TV to come back to realign our dish but on a SUNDAY Dallas came out and helped us to get it back on, saving us $52.97!

There were little fixes left to do and he was ALL about making sure it was completed. At the end of the day the customer service from Dallas, Johnson Roofing staff and even the folks who dropped the tile out were a pleasure to work with, thank you.

I would recommend them for sure for any roofing needs!

I honestly don't write many reviews.  I feel that most products/services are adequate and don't make that strong an impression on me. I am making an exception, however,  for Johnson roofing. From the original quote to the finished product that I was presented with, I was extremely happy and impressed throughout the whole process. John was thorough and honest with the quote and follow up visits and Julio and his crew made the roof beautiful! The office staff, Corina and Sylvia were friendly and awesome as well. They kept me apprised of all the timing and final payment arrangements! I have and will be recommending them everytime I meet someone in need of a new roof!

This company is amazing! From the sales coordinator to the office manager to the estimator, all the way to the people who repaired our roof, their work and customer service were the best! They not only were friendly but extremely efficient in scheduling my repair work. I was informed by text or email of every single aspect of the process, including photos of my roof damage along with the estimate. They told me exactly when to expect them and they showed up at that time. I even got photos of the repair work when they were done. I personally called up the owner to tell him how pleased I was with the excellent service I received. If he hasn't given them all a raise, he should! They represent him well!

Absolutely horrible! If I could give them 0 stars I would. We were scheduled with them a month ago. Corrina and office staff lied to me for 2 days. Everyday it was the same thing.They would say the roofers will be here at 7 then 8 then 11 then 12.. this kept going on for 2 days and nobody showed up. It was a complete waste of time working with them. I finally had to cancel. I couldn't deal with all the lies and how unprofessional they are. They completely ruined the schedule with my ac company. The roof needed to be complete before the ac could be installed. Now we have no ac and the roof isn't t fixed. Horrible

Johnson roofing was great. They were very good at keeping me updated on what and when things were happening. Luckily only roof repairs are needed at this time and prices are reasonable. I will definitely keep their contact info for when the time comes for a new roof

I requested a check of my roof. Kameron promptly returned my call
and drove out to my house. I showed him on the inside of the house
where there was a small water stain on my ceiling. He grabbed his ladder
and about twenty minutes later knocked on my door. He said that it was fixed. Of course my first question was how much. He showed me his phone and I could see pictures of were he had moved shingles and
pointed to a dark spot and said that was where the bird nest was removed. Astonished I couldn't tell him how much I appreciated
his honesty. A few hours earlier I had another contractor come out.
His mode of operation was much different. He sat down in my lawn
chair and proceeded to tell me the roof couldn't be fixed. The tiles were no longer being made. The concrete between the shingles wasn't good.
The rest of the roof needed to be replaced as he sat in my lawn chair!
Man that was a poor experience and the quote was 20,250! Be ware
if the salesman can't get out of the lawn chair!

Only reason for the 4 stars is because we only had an estimate done.  

So far, pretty impressed.  Charlie reviewed the inspection report thoroughly and gave us ideas on how to improve not only the quality of the home, and also make it durable for years to come.

He was invested in our wish list and gave us ideas that would also save us $$ while making sure that the 1958 build would comply with present guidelines. Professional, timely and quick to respond (setting appointment as well as providing a written estimate). They are go to choice now and also for our customers.

Johnson Roofing is very professional. Tyler is very impressive with his communication. He emails you links to your proposal, status updates, etc, within seconds of speaking to him. He's honest and isn't looking to upsell you. He was able to get a crew here very promptly, and the guys did a great job.

I only had one slight issue in that my TV dish was damaged during the repair (they may not have even realized). I wasn't charged by my provider to fix, but I was just without TV for a few days. Not a big deal.

I would recommend Johnson, and I will be using them for future jobs.

Well no one showed up to take care of the window or oil stains on the driveway. Dalles the sells rep no longer responds to my texts or calls to the office. He gave his word those things would be taken care of if I paid early. His word was worthless. Don't use theses guys, they are going under and will just take your money.  I've contacted OSHA and will be the BBB next.

Communication and response times were prompt.  Technician's were fast, friendly, and they left the work area clean.
My only reason for a four star, and this is small, is that I wasn't sure that our appointment was confirmed until the day of the work.  Johnson Roofing used an automated appointment scheduler, which is fine by me, to create the appointment.  After clicking the yes button I assumed the appointment was set.  The next day I received a voicemail about setting up the appointment.  So I was a little confused about if the email I had agreed to was indeed setting the appointment or not.  I assumed the appointment was set and indeed it was.  It would have been nice to have some kind of email confirmation or reminder after the automated appointment setting and/or on the day of the work.  
Other than that small snag service was great.  The issue I had is easily overlooked because of the professionalism Johnson displayed.  I'll use them again and would recommend them.

The time to get them to start the work was lengthy. A few missteps occurred during the scheduling process. Once the work started, that too took much longer than it was supposed to. Due to the efforts of Corina, I am very happy with the job. She was in constant contact with me sharing all the details of the job and what was happening and whatI could expect to happen next. She really stayed on top of all the details and made the job a success. Thank you Cornina for watching over my job! I really appreciate all your efforts. The team did good work, it just took longer than scheduled.

Can't speak for the work but the back office operations and personal are clueless. I was on the  installation schedule never received a confirmation call the day before. I called to confirm and after a bit of researching they confirmed 7:00 start time.  
At 9:15 with still no one onsite or a phone call they were running late, I called the office and a person answered the phone,  hello??? I had to ask if I had the right number, one would assume you answer the phone professionally with the company name at least.
I asked where the crew was and oh, they aren't there?? Absolutely clueless!!! Needless to say I canceled the work order. Not interested in giving work to a company that is clueless on the backend and assume the work is the same way regardless of any other ratings.
If I could rate a zero I would.

I found Johnson roofing using the YELP app, and the reviews were great.

I am a Canadian with a seasonal home I visit several times a year in Gilbert. Finding quality trades people off the internet is a little nerve wracking. You are never sure if the reviews are totally legit!

So I came for a visit to my humble abode this summer and alarmingly found a few tiles from the corner of my roof lying on the ground. It looked minor, but I don't have a ladder tall enough to go see what was happening!

I did my Yelp and Google search for local roofers, and came across Johnson roofing. I spoke with a friendly office person who asked me to simply send some pictures and they had a $250 special that would likely cover the minor repairs. They wouldn't need to come and look - the pictures would be enough information and they could book a time based on the pictures I sent.

So off to the yard with my trusty iPhone and zip-a-da-do-da I emailed the pictures. It was a Friday afternoon, and I was told it may take until early the next week to confirm the job. Tuesday I simply received an email saying that they would be by Thursday at 1pm.  I was out enjoying a beautiful golf day, and when I was done there was an email with a dozen pictures showing the extensive work they completed fixing much more than just a couple broken tiles!!

Let's face it, for most of us, most aspects of roof repair may as well be a black box, like the bowels of car engines or the brains of people who watch Dr. Who. We just have no idea what's going on in (or up) there. The guy can come down the ladder and say about anything, and we can do little more than take or leave it.

After first getting sticker-shocked by an estimate from another highly Yelp rated roofer (about $750 to repair some broken tiles), I saw the Johnson Roofing's $250-for-most-small-jobs ad. Thought it sounded almost too good to be true. Happily, it wasn't. They just tuned up my roof and saved me $500.

I like their streamlined, digitized process. They requested I email pics of the roof so they could color match. They sent a digital invoice, which I filled out. They set an appointment, texted and emailed me reminders, and had a guy there on time, and did the job. After, I got an email with the invoice and pics of the broken tiles and post-repair. Paid the bill over the phone. Easy. No extra free estimate visit to increase the amount of time they had to work and then find a way to bill me for. All done in one shot, and we didn't have to coordinate one or more times for us both to be there.

They just became my roofing company for as long as I live here.

I had my roof done by this company and everything for the most part was smooth.  The roof came out nice the price was competitive and the sales person stayed in email contact with me.  The only bad thing that happened was the next year when I rained for the first time there was a leak in a vent on the roof, had to sit through about 2 days of bucket drips.  They came out about a week later and patched it up and no issues since then which is why the get a 4 for the fast repair in the work and if there want a leak I would be giving them a 5.  I would recommend this company but just ask at the end of the job for them to test the roof with a hose for leaks if possible.

I have worked in the construction business for many years as a design engineer and project manager.  Now I am a property owner.  I needed a new roof for one of our properties.  Like a good project manager I did my research and obtained quotes from contractors that had a background of quality work.  Johnson Roofing was the most competitive.  They saved us money.

Their rep, Charlie, was very responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable.  He answered all my questions and did it very quickly.  If it was up to Charlie, everything would have happened quicker.  It was me who needed more time to review and decide what to do.  Charlie was patient and worked with us.  There was no sales pressure.  

They performed the work in a professional manner.  Charlie provided pictures to document the stages of the installation.  The end result was beautiful.  I cannot imagine a contractor doing better.

Johnson Roofing came out promptly to give us a quote for a small roof leak. They sent us an estimate and time frame. We were not home when they did the repair but they sent us multiple photos before, during, and after the repair. Very professional and easy to work with!

Sorry to say I never got to an estimate because Anette, their office person, found it too difficult to actually pick up a phone and call me to discuss despite 3 requests via yelp messaging, each one with my phone number provided.   If I hadn't logged into yelp to continue the search for roofers, I'd never have known that she responded.  And, each time she did it was asking ME to call the office.  Me thinks it was an omen and best to look into a company that may actually appreciate some business.

When my mother's roof leaked after the last storm, I looked around and this company had excellent reviews on all the sites I went to, and a great BBB rating. I can see why. Even though they were busy after the storm, Charlie came out promptly to estimate the job. We'll likely need a big job of new underlayment done in the next few years, but he did not try to sell the big repair. They gave us a reasonable price for fixing the leak and some cracked tiles. The estimate included photos showing what needed to be done. Charlie answered my questions in email and then called to make sure I was satisfied with all the answers. The work was done by a 2-person crew within a week and Charlie went out and inspected it. Of course, not knowing anything about roofing, I can't say much about the repair, but the work is warrantied, so I have no worries. I would definitely use them again. Thanks, Charlie!

I messaged through yelp, and received a message back quickly.  Was told I would receive a phone call that morning to schedule an estimate.  No call, messaged back that afternoon and again received a message back quickly.  Still have yet to receive a call to schedule.  I guess they are extremely busy and do not need my business.  Could have saved time and just told me that and maybe my roof would be fixed by someone else by now.

Called this company this past monday for a roof inspection before purchasing a new house and bruce was out the very next day doing the inspection. Had the full inspection plus estimates within 24hrs! Corina has great customer service, keep me up to date and also answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this company.

They were able to give me an estimate within a few days of my original phone call.  It wasn't necessary for me to be present for the roof evaluation.

The team arrived promptly at 7am each day that they worked.  The project took three full days (single story house, 2100 sq ft).

The most important part was that communication was maintained very well.  Charlie was my point of contact, and he would respond in a timely fashion any time I had a question for him.

We received a great quote from Johnson Roofing.  They followed up with me to see if we were ready to get the work done.  Once I signed the estimate, the work was done in a day!  They sent me before and after photos as soon as the job was done.  I don't know much about roofing but from what I could tell the work looked top-notch.  Sylvia in the office was extremely nice and very customer service oriented.  I am very happy with their work and also how soon it was completed!

I schedule an appointment October 24 for today November 12 11 AM I had not heard from them which I thought was a little unusual based on my experience.  When I called to confirm @ 10 AM they transferring to three times  that was my first red flag. Once I received a callback from Annette she apologized and said on the calendar invite she used she put her  name instead of the sales reps name. And that she would have to reschedule. My problem is  I travel a lot And today was between trips and that's the reason why I excepted this appointment. I understand it was a mistake but I'm The one that's paying the price. I chose this company because of their high ratings on yelp. So lesson learned I guess it's my responsibility to follow up for them just FYI for those that you don't have busy schedules and he make an appointment with him you may also have issues.

Used them during a home sale. Needed to get a few roof tiles fixed quickly. They came out fast, were professional and reasonable.  They got the repairs done quickly. I would use them again, and do recommend them.

After having all the rains lately here in Mesa I notice we had a couple of roof leaks. Called Johnson Roofing our for an estimate for repairs. A gentleman nAmed Joe came out and met with me. He went up on the roof and located the areas where we had the leaks. While up on the roof he inspected the whole roof and found an additional are that had been damaged by a previous storm that we were unaware of. Joe presented a reasonable estimate and his office called to schedule an appointment to have one of their crews come out and do the repairs. It was a couple weeks out which was fine. The crew of two gentlemen came out and repaired the areas in question. While repairing one of the areas the crew indicated that there was another area that needed attention which they also took care of without further expense as they were up there already. That was good customer service. This lets me know that Johnson Roofing had my back for which I am grateful. Thank you Johnson you are my go to roofing company and I will recommend your service. Also please give a special thank you to Joe. He was awesome and really cared about me as the  customer and my home. Great job, hard to find honest and trustworthy repair companies these days. Upon coming legion of the job the home site was cleaned up and left in a pristine manner. I received a follow up call asking if I was satisfied with the work and if there were any problems. Thank you Tyler....about a year in a half ago Johnson Roofing replaced partial roof - great job.  I contacted Tyler as the refrigeration unit detached from the vent and I had thought it was from when they lifted the stand to re-roof.  Tyler went out, repaired, explained what else needed to be done as former repair persons tarred the vent and unit, the problem was NOT caused by Johnson Roofing,...but he repaired it anyway, and was very pleasant.  I will call again when roofing needs to be done

This company exceeded my expectations.  I got an email showing pictures of the estimator so I knew in advance who I was dealing with.  Clear bid so I knew what I was getting for my money.  The roofing crew were early not late explaining what they were going to do.  They worked fast and the job looks great!  They cleaned up the job site and then some hauling off all of the roof debris that was created when they blew off the roof.  They left extra roof tile for me and even put it away.  I will use them the next time I have roof problems.

Although the work on our roof was ultimately to our satisfaction, it was not without frustration, delay, upset and far more of our involvement in details of the work than should have been necessary. Our complete roof replacement was scheduled to last for four days; it took 16 days and would likely have gone longer had we not pushed very hard for the job to be finished. The job site was not cleaned-up daily so we had to contend with sharp pieces of aluminum, razor blades, nails, giant tacks, tile and tar-paper debris, etc.on the ground and in our pool and at one point we had a huge pile of trash sitting on our roof for several days, including over a weekend, because the company had not provided a dumpster to the crew. We had a huge stack of wooden pallets in our front yard for at least 8 days. Communication with the company was terrible, many promises were made and broken, there was no relationship between when crews were supposed to arrive and when (or if) they actually did.  The entire process was very, very stressful and frustrating at every turn. It's really a shame because the pricing was the best of three bids and the work was nicely done in the end. But the lack of communication, the lack of attention to detail and the extremely stretched-out schedule made this a never-again experience for us. Adding injury to insult, we received a text message asking for a numeric rating of the job. We responded that we would prefer to speak with someone about our experience. The response was a demand to respond with a single number rating on a scale of 10. OK: 1.

1800 square foot home needed whole roof replaced with new shingles.  $10,500 in repairs were completed on the roof. Devin took care of us throughout the whole process. Workers were on time, did not speak English, but they got the work completed within 2 days. I don't know anything about roofs so I had my Uncle drive up and look at the work and he said that they did a good job.  There was one place on the roof that it looks like a ripple in the roof (that I swear that it wasn't there before).  Called Devin and he came out and placed a constructed board that seemed to help, we will see.

Can't say enough good things about Johnson roofing. During a time when our entire neighborhood experienced extreme roof damage, they were professional, friendly, efficient, reasonably priced and were able to repair our roof quickly.  They gave us a detailed quote immediately, and once the job was done, sent pics of the damage before and after it was repaired. Kudos to all the staff!

I am not sure how this company has so many 5 star reviews. Please be aware that this company has had to come out three times (and a few various no shows) over the last few months to fix a roof leak we had correctly. In that time it took for them to correct, the rain leak had soaked through the dry wall creating thousands in dry wall damages.  With their solution to the roof leak being fixed, they failed to see another issue they created with the water run on after a rain storm. Thus moving the leaking ceiling from our bedroom to the kitchen.What started as a simple fix has now cost thousands in damages. With no end in sight we are being asked to wait two weeks for them to send out a roofer or seek another company.

Johnson Roofing is the best! We needed some damaged tiles on our roof repaired before completing a refinance on our home. I contacted Johnson Roofing and they quoted me a great deal of $250 to repair up to 15 tiles. They mentioned they were booked for several weeks out, but if I sent them pictures of my broken tiles, they could create an estimate based on the pictures before scheduling the repair work. I told them I was trying to complete a refinance and this would hold up the appraisal.  I asked them if they could do any magic to get me scheduled sooner than weeks away.  I received a call back immediately and was told someone would come out to do the work in TWO DAYS!!!!  In addition, I live way out in Maricopa which is a longer drive for them. They came out in two days as promised and did a fantastic job on the roof!  I am very happy with their great service and will definitely be calling them if I ever need roofing work in the future!

We contacted Johnson Roofing and were able to get a quote and set up an appointment in a timely manner.  We weren't able to be home when they arrived for our appointment so they did the job they quoted and sent us photos of what they did fixed with their bill.  Very professionally done?  Highly recommend their services.

My rating is strictly based on the professionalism of this company.  I was referred to this company by another roofing company that does not service my area.  I called to schedule a time for a representative to come out and take a look at my roof and was told Phillip would be coming to take a look at my roof on Friday between 9 and 11.  I took the morning off of work and waited for the roofer.  When 11:00 rolled around and Phillip still wasn't there, I called the company to inquire about Phillip's whereabouts.  The woman who answered the phone did not know, but said she would check and call me back.  She called me back a few minutes later to let me know that Phillip was out sick.  Are you kidding me?  How was no one made aware of this??  Incredibly unprofessional and a waste of my morning.  I'll be contracting with a different company!

Update 6/5/18. I had johnson roofing out again to do the east side of my roof and once again I'm very pleased with the job they did. It did take longer to do then expected, but im perfectly ok with taking your time and not cutting corners just to get the job done. I've had multiple neighbors come over and ask me who did my roof and want the number because they saw the good work ethic and professionalism of the roofers with johnson roofing. A big thank you to Charlie for always answering my questions and your quick responses. You guys rock!

I could not be more pleased with my experience with Johnson Roofing. Charlie came out the very next day after my call to give me an estimate. He was very helpful and gave me several options. Their bid was half the amount of my other bid. I worked with Tammy in the office on scheduling, she was courteous and made every effort to accommodate my needs.  I was also very pleased with quality of the work.

I am very happy with Johnson Roofing. I met with JC at my property and we went over what needed to done. (I needed the patio roof replaced.) JC was extremely professional and easy to work with. We had a tiny bump in the road with the way some work was done. I contacted JC and the issue was taken care of immediately. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the price and professionalism of this company.

Stay away from this business at all costs!  They gave me a quote and then I wanted to add a drip edge to the quote.  They told me I would get the revised quote in an hour and 5 days later, I didn't receive the revised quote.  After several phone calls, they sent me the revised quote and added $1,000 to it.  They told me that the 30 days expired and the price went up.  I told them that it was their fault the 30 days expired and the  owner Tyler agreed to abide by the original quote.  We made a service date and I confirmed the date 3 days prior to the day they were to install the roof.  THEY NEVER SHOWED UP.  When I called the office at 8:00 in the morning, they told me I had the date wrong and they were coming the following Monday.  I had written proof that I, in fact had the date correct.  I told them that I had lost all faith in the company and I am cancelling the entire thing.  They told me that they would cancel the contract and then they delivered shingles to my home.  This company is totally incompetent and I wouldn't trust them to water a plant, never mind roof my home.  I was telling  the story to a co-worker in my office and she had the EXACT same experience with this company.  I now am starting from scratch and getting new bids again.  This has been a complete waste of time, energy and emotion.  Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.  Although, if you want shingles, I still have them on the top of my roof, help yourself!

Excellent experience from start to finish! I have never had to deal with roof repairs or roofing contractors before. All of the people at Johnson Roofing from the office personnel, to the inspector, to the guys who performed the repairs were all very professional, knowledgeable, and honest. The estimate they gave me was the same as the end price with no extra fees or nonsense. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

Replacing a roof is never fun for a homeowner but I can honestly say this is of the kind experience we all should come to expect from any business. Charlie was our project manager, came out same day and provided an estimate that was within my budget. Once the estimate was signed they scheduled the service 9 business days out. Charlie called the day before and asked to start early, which was just fine by me! The crew was prompt every morning and cleaned up the site every day before they left. Very pleased with my experience and would recommend (and already have!) to neighbors and friends.

Great experience with this company. Had a tile blow fall off and had an area of dry rot on the facia which turned out to be from a leak. Curtis came out and gave us an estimate and looked at other areas such as our patio cover and pointed out issuewa that might need attention. No pressure at all to get it done. When our roofer came out he did the repairs and cleaned up very well. He even painted the small area where the fascia was replaced in a color that was very close to what we had. This was not something promised or billed for. I thought our pricing was reasonable. I will call them again if we have a roofing issue

Johnson Roofing came out and had the best competitive bid compared to the others, I received 4 bids.  They did a great job fixing the leak in roof.  They found the location that was leaking and replaced the underlayment in that section.   Work was great and I am very pleased.  Would recommend!

Very happy with the entire process - quick response to the initial call, crew showed up on time, did the repairs as discussed with little mess and great clean-up.  Our 20+ year old roof had some break-through leak areas.  He suggested two options:  spot repair/replacement or the entire roof (due to the age of the roof).  We went with the repairs and the work was done quickly and efficiently, on budget.  Will call Johnson Roofing again when the need arises.

These folks are amazing. They do a $250 roof checkup that includes replacing tiles and doing repairs. I expected some basic repairs but they went all out and did much more than expected. Our roof can now survive another 16 years without much repair. I strongly recommend Johnson Roofing in Mesa, Az.

Recently had them redo a large tile roof 54 Sq. on a 20 year old house  Job was done on time as promised.  The entire experience from start to finish was as painless as possible.    The salesmen showed up on schedule( as  opposed to 2 other roofers that were called). The Estimate was presented without all the upsell nonsense, and showed exactly what each amount was for.  When terms were agreed work was scheduled in a timely manner.  The crews that were sent to the property were presentable and my wife did not have any concern being around the all day (very important). Cleanup was done daily and  work was completed on schedule with no extras and other nonsense. Final price was exactly as estimated. I would recommend them without hesitation. The Salesmen Dallas is also recommended.

I recommend Johnson Roofing. They came as promised for roof inspection on time. And came at promised time to complete the repairs. The repairs were right on track with the estimate for the repair. Repairs were completed in a couple hours. And cleaned up work area great job.

Charlie came out to give us a 2nd opinion to fix the minor leak in our roof. His estimate was over double the previous one...but he got every crack and broken tile in his estimate. We trusted him immediately and decided to do all the work he suggested immediately. Johnson Roofing will be the ONLY company I call from now on.

I usually don't take the time to write review, but in this case I really need to make an exception.  From my initial call to the company until the job was done this company really makes the customer satisfaction their #1 priority.  The estimator Philip P was so helpful and I never once felt he was trying to oversell something that I wouldn't need at the time.  In other word, I didn't feel like I was getting ripped off by someone.   I don't know much about roofs or roofing, but I do know the job was done on time, they kept me informed of every issue I had, and it was done right.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for roofing services.

After a long and frustrating search for a roofing company - Johnson Roofing was a GREAT fine. From setting the appointment to getting the roofs completed. Professional!!! Devin came out to give the estimate on the main house and the guest house. He pointed things out that were not to code - and was able to fix it for us. He explained in detail what he and the crew would do and how long things would take. Price was better than I'd expected and job was well done. The crew were the hardest bunch of worker I've seen - non stop. I have to also mention it was one of AZ windiest days and they got it done and yard was cleaned up. THANK YOU!!!

i can't speak about the quality of the work because after two no shows and missing work - we decided to go with another contractor.  Poor customer service.

We had some minor repair work to fix a leak in our clay tile roof. I called Johnson Roofing and Tyler Johnson called me back and we made an appointment for him to come see the roof the same day. He climbed on to the roof, assessed the problem  and gave me a preliminary idea of the damage, the solution and the cost to fix it., which he followed up with a written estimate. They came to do the work two days later, were at my house for about 4 hours, fixed the roof and cleaned up after themselves. Outstanding!
