My wife and I have been Zonies for almost 20 years now. At least two of the things we learned over those years were Arizona roofs are different and home contractors (in general) can't be trusted. It's sad to say, really, really sad, but a quick search on tha AZ Contractors Registration Site will show you thousands upon thousands of unregistred and scamming contractors that have been caught in the act. And thats not to show you those that have yet to be uncovered.
So, with that consideration in mind, we did some research and found Arizona Roofing Systems to be highly recommended, licensed, and free of complaints. And to top it off they are on The Home Depot list of 'suggested' roofing contractors in our part of the East Valley. That does not mean they work for the HD, or even use HD products; but they are referred by HD and HD keeps track of their record. A big plus! Just like YELP!
So far, they answered the inquiry quickly, showed up for the estimate exactly on time looking and sounding like a professional contractor. Todd (the estimator) answered all the questions properly and (with a huge consideration for sticker shock on our part) gave a fair estimate and a logical starting time.
So, as a long ago retired east coast roofer myself (from an era when ladders were made of wood) and an avid YELPER........we will certainly keep you all posted on how the job goes. From estimated starting time to actual starting time to finish time, helpers, cleanup and quality of work. K?
So far..........we are impressed
..2nd report: They were actually one week ahead of their promised arrival schedule. That was a big plus because we are getting the house painted on the inside and we wanted to repair the ceiling ( from a leak) before the painters came. And with Monsoons peaking around the San Tans it was double important. So here they are, the whole crew neat and very, very professional working in the blazing sun and baking heat. They did a beautiful job with all the edges and keys lining up and without too much booming and ruckus. Cleanup was perfect and bushes and grass all left in good shape.
Now, lets wait for a rain......
Thank you A.R.S.

I don't normally answer the door to solicitors but I was definitely in the market for a new roof and so I was willing to hear what the guys in the Prowest shirts had to say. I'm so glad I did! Kevin and his team did a great job of working with my insurance company and getting me all set up with a brand new roof! And they were very communicative and always professional which seems hard to come by these days. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs!

Jordan was on time for every meeting, from quote, start time and completion meeting. His crew did a fantastic job. We needed a remove and re paper on our 15 year old roof. They placed 2 layers of paper and did the replacements a great price. They did a great job. Guys did cleanup every day and were very respectful of close by neighbors.
I wouldn't hesitate to use Copper West Roofing again.

Alex and Spartan Roofing was the reason I didn't lose out on purchasing a home during this crazy market. During the inspection period, our inspector showed us the roof had issues. I called Spartan Roofing to provide a roof inspection. He did so and recommended we completely redo the underlayment, add additional tiles (as the builder tried to stretch the coverage) and redo all the flashing. I had 5 other roofers out for other estimates. Alex was by far the best price and was very responsive to questions and making sure this was going to get done. The plan was for the roof to be completed after the closing of the house. Well, last minute (2 days before close) the lender required the roof to be done before. This forced our closing date back by 4 business days. Well, Spartan Roofing was able to start immediately and completed the roof in those 4 days. The guys did an incredible job! The roof looks amazing and if he wouldn't have been able to make the roof job happen before closing the sellers were going to 'cure' the deal and I would have lost the house. Alex is a stand-up guy and will do right by you. He doesn't beat around the bush and will tell you how it is. Believe me when I tell you, I did my thorough research when trying to find the right roofer for this job. Look no further, Spartan Roofing will get your roof job done right. A huge thank you to Alex and the Spartan Roofing team!

Caliber Roofing did an awesome job! We needed a full tear-off and replacement for our flat roof home.
I did a LOT of research and gathered 10 estimates. Rich was on time for the estimate, and was able to give us a price for roof replacement, gutters and even some electrical work to add ceiling fan outlets.
The job was scheduled within a reasonable timeframe. The project manager, Chris, came out beforehand and did some final measurements, lead paint testing, etc.
The job started on Monday. The crew was here at 9:00 sharp. They removed the existing roof, replaced it, applied the foam and the first layer of elastomeric coating in one day. The job superintendent, Tanner, was here for much of the day. Rich and Chris also came by to check on the work. The crew finished with a clean-up job that was perfect.
They returned on Tuesday to place the second layer of coating on the roof.
Our house is small, so I was amazed at the level of involvement by everyone at Caliber Roofing! Every detail was perfectly attended to.
We couldn't be happier with the care and service that we received. Everyone was extremely professional and explained everything throughout the entire process.
Five stars isn't enough, and I'm very discerning with my reviews. I would highly recommend Caliber Roofing if you are looking for a job done right, reasonably priced, and you appreciate excellent customer care.

Twelve yrs ago, I called and Shane came out. I was impressed at how honest and straight forward he was. No sales pitch. No pressure or fear tactics. Got a new roof. Now, twelve yrs later- a leak. He was the first person I called, due to both his knowledge and integrity. He came out promptly. Seems the A/C company tore thru the underlining. Within days, the repair was made. Findings were explained and properly corrected. His crew went above and beyond to make things right. This isn't 'A roofing company. This is THE roofing company!

I can't say enough positive things about our experience working with Tempel Roofing. Not only did they seamlessly manage communications with our insurance company to process the coverage of our roof replacement, but they installed the roof promptly and quickly. This was all happening around some major life events for us, including welcoming a new baby, and they made the process totally painless which was very much needed and appreciated. In addition to being experts on all things roofing and building code (even more-so than the insurer), Ryan, Nate, Brenda and the entire team are ethical, sympathetic and hard-working. It's clear they value customer service and the human element of transactions like these. I give them the highest recommendation, and implore anyone looking for roofing help to reach out to them. You won't regret it.

Eric and his team worked with me on a roof repair due to monsoon storm damage. They had great customer service, and the team did an excellent job doing the repair. Russ was on top of the situation and followed up with me when the work was completed. Eco Roofing made it easy for me to work with my insurance company to get the job done and get my roof back to an even better condition than it was before. Thanks!

RHS Roofing is an all around exceptional company to choose for any type of roof repair needs or to use for an upgraded roof for your home.
We were referred to them by a friend when we had a storm last summer and noticed dramatic leaking in multiple places on our first story & patio roof's.
We called them and they immediately got the ball rolling by doing an inspection, not limiting their inspection to just of the damaged area but to also include our entire roof! Within a matter of hours they got back to us with estimates and options (one to repair the damaged area & another to upgrade the rest of it)! They gave us very competitive pricing and were very detailed while communicating with us both verbally and in writing.
This company demonstrated to us that they provide service built on taking pride in the work they perform and their business principles.
We highly recommend RHS Roofing for any needs you have with your roof.

I sighed the contract with Lyons Roofing because the sales rep seemed accommodating to work with. I selected a brand and solid color brown of new tile to be used because of the breakage that would occur. A pallet of the new replacement tiles was delivered, but it was not the brand or color I selected; instead, it was a variegated-color tile: brown/ ivory/black. I was told later by the Project Manager that the tile I selected was lightweight and could not be used on my roof. So why was I shown this tile by the sales rep? And then why was a tile delivered that I did not even see the color or approve?
By this time the top three rows on the backside of the house were removed and were ready for replacement. Then it was found out that the pallet of new tile could not even be used for the top three rows because it was the wrong size- and that an entire section of roof (already put back) would have to be removed again, so the tiles could be used on the top three rows on the backside.
I called the Project Manager and said that things were not going well- that I didn't want 3 entire sections and 2 ridges replaced with variegated-color tiles that were totally unmatched in color to the solid brown color on the rest of the roof. I received a call later saying that tiles were found in a bone yard (tiles removed from previous jobs) that would be very close in color to what I have, and could also be used for the top 3 rows on the backside of the house. But no trim tiles were to be found, so I would have to accept the variegated tiles to be used on 2 ridges.
I approved, not having a better choice. The tile from the bone yard was delivered.
But then it was found out that the tiles from the bone yard could not be used on the top 3 rows on the backside because they were a different size, and would not butt up properly to the adjoining row. So an entire section of roof had to be removed, and the tiles used on the backside, This section was replaced with tiles from the bone yard. After this was done, the variegated color trim tiles were put on the 2 ridges on top of the solid color tile. Watching them, it was obvious they were rushing to complete the roof, since they had another job site to go to.
There was no final inspection. The roof is now finished, with 3 sections of tile from the bone yard, and 2 ridges of unmatched trim tile. As I said to the Project Manager- all of these problems should have been foreseen before the job was started, not found out unexpectedly by the work crew as their working. Had I known beforehand about all of these problems of color and compatibility, I could have had, and would have made, other choices. And why were there supposedly so many tiles broken that required 3 sections of a different tile be used plus 2 ridges of variegated unmatched trim tile? Our house is on a corner lot on an incline, and the roof is clearly visible when walking or driving down this incline.
A final note about breakage: I have only 2 of the original field tiles left- one of which was found in the debris trailer...it had been tossed there by a workman? Makes you wonder.

The team at German Roofing was outstanding. They did not miss any detail. They cleaned up everyday to make sure no nails or debris got near the car. They were very competitive and extremely responsive.
The team was polite , worked long hours despite the heat and my roof looks great. I highly recommend them.

Update - Today after speaking with Tyler the owner, I was told our issue is now a structural issue and not a roof problem. This is after we've had them out 10 times (not an exaggeration). Because of this, they are unable and unwilling to fix anything. The first time I saw them do any sort of water test was yesterday and the first time I heard anything about it being an issue with a beam instead of the roof was yesterday. I asked Tyler several times to come out personally since he is the owner of the business and he refused stating it was pointless. At no time did he offer me any sort of resolution to this issue. We are having another company come out to assess the issue and may possibly file a complaint.
I'll start off by saying that everyone I've dealt with here has been very nice and courteous, but we've had some huge issues with the company. We had them fix a leak in our roof a couple of years ago and noticed several months after, it was still leaking. They came out twice initially to repair it, but we noticed it still wasn't fixed. We've had them out now probably at least 8 times and the leak still isn't repaired. We've had scheduling issues and problems with them following up which has been extremely frustrating especially since I think we've been beyond understanding. This final time was sort of the breaking point for me. We'd just spent money to have new windows and paint done near the leak. Because the roof is still leaking, it's caused the new paint to bubble and water damage around the windows. This has been a high amount of stress for us. If I had it to do all over, I probably would have hired someone else.
