Aaron, from the Phoenix branch of Burns Pest Control, has been to our complex three times.  He is an arrogant, lazy technician.  He manages to do a treatment in a record 90-seconds.  He either leaves puddles of liquid, or milky residue, or better yet not a trace of liquid.  He responds with sarcastic remarks which only show his failure of responsibility.  The service is included in the rent, so there's little recourse.

Waited 5 weeks once I signed up for the weed service only to be told the morning of the service that it needs to be rescheduled, so finally after 7 weeks the tech shows up, but late.

The tech applied Barricade 4FL which is a pre-emergent (no post-emergent) and was here for 2 hours and sprayed all the areas that we agreed upon at the original meeting.

Time will tell if this service is good for a year. In the past I had companies spray every 6 months and the previous service was quarterly but they kept cancelling and I couldn't get them out even though they raised their prices.

I hope all goes well as I'd like to use them for termite/pest control in the future.

Burns Weed Control is a joke. The product they use is useless. I paid $260.00 for weed control for the year. They have been out 4 times coming again and my yard is still full of weeds. Needless to say I will not be renewing my contract. Also over the phone they say their product kills grass when the technician comes they won't even spray the grass.  Burns quit talking out of both sides of your mouth. Totally worthless company

Technician messaged me he was coming in 15 minutes. It wasn't even my scheduled day. I told him I wasn't available. Later that night around 9pm he texted he was coming between 7-8am. I am busy with school drop off and was floored by how rude and presumptive he was. I called to cancel citing how rude the technician was. They asked for my address and cancelled my service. Didnt even ask what my problem was or care.

I recommend haven them come by to take care of a wide array of pest you might be dealing with.
They have been keeping insects, especially spiders, away and outside of my home.

If I could give less than one star, I would. When I look for a vendor, I look for these qualities: price, communication, effectiveness, reliablity, customer service. I run a center with multiple locations. We chose Burns due to price. They were the cheapest. And I got what we paid for. Communication: they went over two months without showing up at any location and still billed us. I kept trying to get ahold of my account manager and got nowhere. She told me she was personally coming out the next day with the exterminator....neither showed. Two weeks later, I called and emailed her and she showed up the next day without responding. I was assured the problems would be taken care of. Exterminator only sprayed two of 7 areas. I kept trying to reach my AM and finally went to the owner. He got me a new AM and had a Supervisor come out two days later. That was the last time I heard from them, I was told someone would be here on 2/21. On 2/22, I called to asked if the appointment happened. I was told 8 hours later they moved the appointment to 2/27. I had to ask them. Nobody called me. I told them to cancel all my services with them. Effectiveness: I have a worse roach problem now than I ever had before I started using Burns. That is a fact. Customer service: I emailed my AM and the owner to cancel all my services. They had the exterminator call me today to offer some excuses. I cut him off and said I want nothing to do with Burns. I'd advise you to do the same.

I had another opportunity to have Burns Pest Control coming out to my home in Ahwatukee. Once again the gentleman was well trained, informed, professional and helpful besides treating my property.
As with the last visit, David from the east valley office who has been with Burns some eight years did an incredible job. After 27 years as a public servant in a federal program, I know what good customer service  is and David is a superstar. David is the type of employee who companies hope for and performance, professionalism and vast knowledge of the work he does. I suggest you recognize him as employee of the month or quarter as we do in our government offices. Perhaps a new Burns shirt, a new Van, a weekend in Cabo or just a nice dinner around town to support our local businesses. Thank you, once again a pleasure to work with you. Dapper

I phoned Burns Pest Elimination today, Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. My boss's home is under contract to be sold in a few weeks. The inspection disclosed that there might have been an active roof rat problem as well as termites. Two different departments at Burns. I spoke with Shannon at Burns (a very sharp young lady!) who sent messages to both departments. I had phone calls from AJ (termite division) and Paul Shuma (rodent division) by 9:15 a.m. AJ said he could meet me at noon, Paul said he'd be pushing it to be there by 2:00. I told Paul I lived 35 miles away from the home and would wait for him because in the end I'd save time. Paul rearranged his morning and to my surprise he arrived at noon .. same time as AJ. Both gentlemen provided superior service. In this day and age ... post Covid ... there are plenty of not-so-bright individuals working in our world. I must say that Shannon, Paul and AJ are exemplary examples of folks we need more of in this working world! Go Burns!

In addition to this customer service I will say that this home had roof rats in 2020. The buyer's inspection suggested that they were active. I was quite hopeful that they were not. Upon his inspection he noted there was no active rodent situation. In addition, all of the exclusion materials they had installed in 2020 were still secure and present. The rodents couldn't find a way in if they tried.

Anyway, it seems quite difficult today to find a company that understands the need for urgency and care. Paul got Shannon on the phone, they booked a cleanup of rodent droppings with their best sanitizing employee while I listened in on the call.

Burns has the people you need (intelligent ones!) to get your pests dealt with! Thank you Burns ... I'll bring you and send you as much business as I can!

Had mouse issues in my apartment complex for the past three ish months now... first three occurrences was that the mouse got on our table and tore into and ate our bananas. Told our apartment complex they did nothing and blamed our lizards when in fact it wasn't our lizards....We bought our own traps and set them up. After maybe the their occurrence they finally had Burns come out and check it out (they've used burns for long time apparently and I pay $15 a month in my rent for pest control and after looking at some the other reviews about 3 weeks out of scheduling perhaps that's what took so long for the apartment to take action to this -- so I guess Burns is just shitty at scheduling)

One guy came in and set up traps all over my kitchen and deactivated my wooden traps... then told me how shitty the traps are and how a little girl like me doesn't know any better and mice don't eat bananas. Like WTF it clearly does! It climbed my table three fucking times and ripped it open and ate a good chunk of it. Then told me it's a rat issue and not a mouse when the hole size is small, the bite and claw marks on the banana was small, the poop and foot prints are small like a mouse.... tried to explain how I'm aware and know these things but he continued to degrade me...

The next three weeks I've had each a different person than the first initial guy. Then the fourth the first guy came and said nothing is caught, I'll be back next week to deactivate all traps because nothing is being caught and made me feel I was hallucinating!

Then the following week no one came to check or deactivate. We saw of no activity for the past month then this Saturday night, the mouse made appearance in one of the two bedrooms... it chewed up all our nice soft cloths, cloths that was in boxes and pooped all over in my underwear container on the shelf and amongst other items...my boyfriend and I were and still Furious about this...... SO MUCH FOR PAYING $15 a month to prevent pests.... and so much for the traps the Burns finally set up... OUR THINGS ARE BEING DAMAGED BY A DAM MOUSE YOU CAN MANAGE TO RID OF.

I told my apartment complex via email with pictures.... I received of no response! We took matters into our own hands and bought poison and dryer sheets even though they told us no from the beginning because they don't want it dead in the walls... ? mouse chewed up two things of poison Sunday night! ? overall, wouldn't recommend Burns because you can do better job yourself by simply setting up Dcon and shoving dryer sheets into all holes etc. why dryer sheets? Because mouse eats it and it gets tagged in their intestines and dies.

I know part of my review is for the fact that my apartment refused to patch up holes in their process of renovation of the space prior to us moving in. But god daaaaammmmm why the hell am I paying extra for service that isn't being utilized?! And refuse to refund money to those whom are having issues.

We have been with Burns for 20+ years.   They have always been professional and helpful for scheduling.   I recently called in March for a treatment for stinging insects.   While waiting the three days for the appointment, our yard guy came and just removed the whole nest and got rid of stragglers...I then called Burns immediately to cancel as they were not needed, but assured them I would call in the summer for a yearly inspection etc..
I spoke with a receptionist that said,  no problem, we will take care of it
I received a bill a few weeks later for the service that never happened,  so I called to see what was going on and the receptionist said, no problem, we will take care of that
I received a bill  May 1st, thinking it was my yearly fee, but to my surprise it was a bill yet again for the service for stinging insects that I did not have!   When I spoke with the receptionist this time, she said the receptionist I spoke to before made a note that I did receive service and the tech was there for 13 minutes.    I told her I called well before 24 hours to cancel, and she still told me the tech said he was there.   I did speak to the tech, on that day surprisingly, as he still called and I told him I cancelled, he was polite and said okay.    So now the receptionist tells me she will have to talk to the manager to see what to do...
?????   I never signed anything for service as I have in the past, ..wow...I understand management has to support their techs, but I DID NOT RECEIVE SERVICE...sadly we don't have a camera to prove otherwise...just our word...
I would pay for service, but now I am considered a liar...I am hoping kindness, honesty, integrity is still there...  I am a loyal customer, but this is NOT okay.  PS...I am definitely installing cameras, thanks to Jordan M's post!

I dealt with Troy who is the sales manager. They had NO problem scheduling an $850.00 full termite treatment like within one to two weeks. However, when two twelve inch termite tubes showed up due to the tech not completely treating the outside wall and the crack in the garage. I was informed we can't send anyone out for 2 months....sorry?????  I'm really sorry I hired them to do the treatment. I hired another company who is more customer service oriented. My own experience is this....the tech did a lousy job and missed treatment spots and the company would NOT send anybody out for 2 months. With that being said.....I definately would NOT recommend this company to anyone that I know. One really sad experience.

Not the best. We used Burns for many years at two different houses and had a few different techs, but only 1 was actually good. Had a recent issue where the tech reported he did the service, but after checking out Ring cameras we found out our bi-monthly service wasn't actually completed. After reaching out to the tech letting them know we checked the video, he then admitted he didn't do the service because there was other workers in the backyard. Only then, the tech asked to reschedule. I called Burns to discuss the situation and was told a manager will call me right back. After not getting a call that same day or following morning, I started looking for a new pest company and found a great one and ended up canceling Burns. Only after I canceled did the manager call me back! #RespectYourCustomers

I hate writing reviews but For a mistake that could have been simply avoided, I have to say something. Before I go into what happened I just want to say that I was happy with their inspection of our apartment and the lady (I forgot her name)  that conducted it was professional, communicated well, and was knowledgeable which is why I wouldn't drop below 3 stars. That wouldn't be fair. The only part where this company fell short was damage to our personal items. We had bedbug treatment earlier today but whoever they sent (it may have been the lady but I'm not 100% sure) damaged my son's toy/book shelf. I understand that accidents happen and they make it extremely clear in the contract that they aren't liable for any damage but the fact that we followed all of the instructions (pull things  at least 1 foot from every wall, clear countertops and drawers, etc) and that this thing weighs 15-20 pounds at the most I cannot understand why they didn't simply move it a few more inches if there still wasn't enough clearance for whatever they had to bring in as opposed to damaging it. This is nothing short of negligence/laziness on there part. I'm not about to lose my cool over this and they didn't destroy it or anything to be honest but I'm sure anyone would agree this was clearly an avoidable mistake in this situation.

Update to this review. Teresa just called and and told me that the representatives that I talked to earlier were in training. She was extremely helpful, as always. I do understand that training, especially for phone communication can be very challenging. So I am changing my ratings to the 5 stars to reflect my past experiences over the last 7 years.

This review is only for my experience today. Just got off the phone with a burns representative. The 1st one talked so fast that I couldn't understand her. I kept asking her to repeat, then she hung up on me. Called back. The next representative was very polite. I wanted to schedule a bed bug inspection for an apartment and a house. She put me on hold and came back with the price for the house, but not the apt. Told me, that the inspections would be on Wednesday and the tech would call before coming. Told her that wednesday was the only day that would not work. Then I was told it would be thursday and that someone would call me before they come. I asked if I had to be available all day as previously I have always been given a time frame. Maybe I have been spoiled in the past, but I am not going to sit around for a whole day waiting to see what time they will come. As the addresses are about 20 minutes apart, I will not have a clue which one to be at 1st. I get a bed bug inspection on every apt prior to the tenant moving in. Up until today (been a customer for about 7 years), my experiences with Burns Pest has been great. Every single person that I have interacted with has been great.

Encountered a VERY IRRESPONSIBLE technician from Burns Pest Elimination on our walk this morning.  I was concluding my walk with my young son and two dogs and spotted the truck at my neighbors' house so crossed the street to be further away.  He said hello but then proceeded to immediately spray the property as close to us as possible.  There was absolutely no way to avoid the strong fumes and wind blowing the pest control product toward us.  I had to have my son shower immediately when we came home and bathe our dogs, etc. and I'm still worried about the exposure.  Unacceptable conduct from the technician.  I will be speaking to our neighbor and will NEVER be utilizing this company if they have such disregard for the safety of kids and pets.

Every technician that I've worked with at Burns Pest has been phenomenal. For my monthly pest maintenance (insects and scorpions), Salvador Paz is great. He is always reliable, nice, and helpful when he comes to the house, he texts me before his arrival, and is always responsive if I have any issues in between services. I hope Burns does not ever plan to move his service area! It is also reassuring to have a trustworthy professional for these services, since he is frequently inside the home and interacting with my young children and pets. We recently have also been trying to eliminate our roof rats. Paul Shuma and Juan Ortiz have both come out to inspect the house for entry points and to confirm that our roof is sealed. They are extremely helpful and I appreciate that they have worked to look for all possible entry points before we had to resort to the most expensive option to test for broken pipes. The overall service with Burns is great and I would refer them to anyone!

I had a termite inspection. And that was as far as it got. The representative did show on-time and perform the inspection. I requested a copy of the contract for review with the co-owner of the property. I was told it would be emailed. That was the last I heard. A week later, no email, no follow-up. I was not shopping other companies. They were my chosen exterminator. It is too bad companies spend so much money to acquire new customers then let the money slip through their fingers. I had to hire another company. If you are looking for a responsive company, this may not be the best choice.

The staff has been great.   The team works great together, from the office, field supervisor, and the team coming to our house to address the issues we were having.  They were awesome to work with.   Everyone we worked with were extremely professional, courteous and helpful with all of our questions and concerns.

SUPER! Phone calls answered promptly, easy, convenient appointment scheduling. This is the third year I'ver had them out for weed control and worth EVERY Penny! We actually saved money by not buying weed killer at the big box stores and doing it ourselves. No need to constantly bend down plucking this or that out of the yard. Their technician-Will- was extremely professional, punctual and efficient. No need to bird dog anyone...he simply did a great job! We really appreciate him and the company, giving them our highest endorsement.

I had burns through my apartment complex so when i moved into a how I called them to set up service. They come every month recurring. Super easy to set up. They always text when they are on their way. They are in and out, always answering any questions I have.  Highly recommend.

I always have great service with Burns. Just today Kevin came out to spray and I give him 2 thumbs up! He was prompt, thorough, friendly and polite! I also want to give him praise for being honest! Not too many people would've pointed out that I gave them a $50 dollar bill instead of a $20.

These guys are the absolute worst. We hired them
Years ago to treat our residence. They did so but they were price wise a little higher than some other companies. They sold us on their availability and customer service. Granted we have to pay a yearly renewal fee, but that includes service anytime we have issues. Anytime I call to let them know we have issues and need help, they tell me at least a 3 week wait. Its been like this for 4 years, and they always tell me its termite season. But it doesn't matter what time of year I call. This last call I made it was 3 weeks out from the time I called. They came and treated the area and a week later we had another issue in another area, and I called and it's more than a month out until they can come out. Clearly they have a resourcing issue and DO NOT care about their customers.

I would not recommend this place if you want things taken care of in a timely manner. They are truly
Awful

*****UPDATE *****

After my review on yelp, someone reached out to me quite quickly from Burn's. I will say I felt That they genuinely cared about my concerns and wanted to address them quickly. They had an inspector come out assess the property and give us a treatment plan so that way hopefully we can take care of the issue. In addition they were able to move my appointment up so we didn't have to wait the 4 weeks for a service appointment.

This is why I changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars.

I hope that they can continue down this route and provide this level of service going forward.

My only feedback is to have them train the staff who answers the appointment calls what to recommend for services. As I was talking with the inspector, he advised me that if I had many issues I could have inspector come out before the service appointments to make sure we have a more I depth treatment plan. I had no idea this would help and the person on the phone never recognized or recommended this even after expressing to her our continued

I have to say Burns took care of my Termites
Darren Gleason set everything up. So far they treated my whole house and have not seen any termites.  I do have a year warranty.
Also I have to say Darren knows where they
are eating.
Also I use Burns for scorpions I rarely see them anymore. Took a year for that

Burns was referred to me when I feared I had bed bugs. My husband and I travel a lot so  guess we shouldn't have been surprised. Connor and his dog came and did the inspection and unfortunately found some in one bedroom. Although it's pretty intense prepping for treatment, directions were clear and we were able to get everything ready. Jacob came and did the treatment. He did a great job and kept us in the loop so we knew when to return home with our dogs; same day. Both guys were professional, friendly and reassured us that this is really pretty common. We are now pest free and would recommend Burns; be sure to ask for Connor & Jacob.

I am writing this review on behalf of my wife, her business uses their services. Jim Calhoun came by today to check on things and as it turned out, they were in great shape. He took his time explaining insect activity to my wife and her co-worker, giving them a heads up on what to look for in the future as signs of possible infestation. She said he was extremely professional and just an all around pleasant guy, always a smile on his face and very knowledgeable. She highly recommends Burns and if your lucky enough, Jim Calhoun, for any services you might need performed at your home or place of business. Thanks Jim!!!!

I manage a large apartment community in the east valley and I wanted to give a quick shout out not only to my account manager but also the service as a whole. Kelly is an absolute delight and I complete trust in her. I have been in this industry for years and have had my fair share of pest control vendors and I always felt like they were selling me unnecessary products and services that didn't work. If Kelly recommends something for my property it is truly because she believes in it. We have scorpion treatments, weekly services, mosquito services etc. But we also have no bad reviews related to pests what so ever. My residents are happy which make my life exponentially easier. The techs on my route are also fantastic Melissa is incredible, Paul is kind, and Jacob was helpful with a very particular resident. I cannot recommend Kelly as account manager enough.

Thought I'd give them another shot...don't bother! They have so much business they don't need yours. Save your time and call another company. There are so many needing your business right now.

After 2 weeks of calling (Since May 27th) no returned calls. I just had to keep calling and told someone would call me back. The people running this place, simply do not care at all. Clearly they have enough customers.

Shame on me for trying to give them another shot. The bottom line...Run very poorly. Will tell you one thing and then change it because the right hand doesn't know what the left had is doing. Employees can't get a hold of the the person in charge. Mike doesn't return calls to his OWN employees because he's traveling so much. Weak excuse in my opinion. There is this thing now a days called a cell phone, use it!

Why in the world did I think I'd get better service the second time around? Zero customer service. Do not spend one penny here. Pick up the phone and call a competitor. Lots of businesses are in need of the support and would welcome your money right now---call them!

IF I could give this company a ZERO score, that would be generous. DO NOT trust this company. I used this company when I owned a home that had small insects. I paid monthly, and they came every month to spray the front and back of the property, and occasionally the inside of the home. Or so I thought. One day the tech arrived for my usual monthly treatment.  He rang the doorbell as always to announce that he was there. I stayed on the sofa, because I didn't need the house sprayed only the yard, and I had already left the gate unlocked. My position on the sofa, afforded me the ability to view the entire side and back yard. About 20 minutes later, when I didn't hear the side gate leading to the back yard opened, I went to check on the tech to see if he was still spraying the front yard. The tech was long gone. Literally had left the property.  But you know what he left behind? The monthly invoice saying he sprayed and the amount due.  Folks, he left the bill and didn't perform the service. I immediately called the company and reported his fraud, and the tech returned with some BS excuse that he sprayed the front, though there was ZERO evidence of that and the front of the property had no chemicals.
I never used this company after that day.
Fast forward to May 2020. It's been years since I lived in that home, and now reside in an apartment  San Piedra. Burns Pest Control is who this apartment complex uses. I requested oest control 2 weeks ago because we pay every month for that service, but they only come when called. I called 2 weeks ago, reported the problem and came home from work to find a post-it on my door from Burns Pest Elimination on my door.
Two weeks later, no change in the pests. So I called for service again. This time, I set up a camera in the apartment and set the alarm, knowing that they would have to deactivate the alarm once they entered the apartment. I left home at 8:15am and returned at 8:21pm.
The nanny cam recorded nothing and the alarm panel was never touched.  I will let the photo evidence speak for itself. Yet low and behold, I found another post-it on my door from Burns Pest Elimination saying they came to my apartment to spray. BLATANT FRAUD.

I use Burns through their Las Vegas branch and they are truly life savers!! I live on the edge of the city and previously had lots of Scorpion issues. Before Burns I was using a different company that worked okay, but ever since I switched over I haven't had ANY activity whatsoever. Their field manager George is very informative and takes his time to really explain any issue you may have and checks in to make sure everything is meeting expectations. All technicians I've had have been great and I'm so thankful to the whole crew!

Our daughter's condo flooded due to rats coming in through a kitchen wall and chewing through the refrigerator ice maker line when we were out of town for 3 days.  It has required water mitigation, demolition and now we are waiting for reconstruction for the damage the rats caused to our unit.
We own at Discover @ Tatum and Burns is the pest control company that our HOA has chosen to take care of this issue.   Ascary from Burns is the tech who has been helping us eradicate and trap the rodents/ rats that have found their way into our wall space through the roofs of the condo.  He has been very professional to set the traps and then check on the traps and reset them several times a week.  We are very happy with the service and support we have received from Ascary at Burns during this trying time.  We highly recommend their service.  Great company!  Thank you, T Gould

I had a very small bedbug scare in one room of my home a year ago, and haven't seen any evidence of bedbugs since. This week a maid service came out and allegedly saw a live adult bedbug. Of course I felt disheartened and stressed to the max! A friend who is a pest control professional made me aware of bedbug sniffing dogs, and recommended Burns. Connor and his dog came out within 2 days, and were amazing! I felt Connor was very honest and straightforward with me, as we were doubtful I even had an infestation, which his search proved to be true - my maid probably saw some kind of beetle. Connor showed me some carpet beetles that look and smell almost identical to bedbugs. He showed me where there were old bedbug fecal stains (that the sniffing dog alerted us to) on the bedroom baseboard where we saw the bugs a year ago. He explained how tricky it was with clients who had had previous presence of the bugs, that the smell would always be present, BUT that doesn't mean there IS a current bug problem. He also said it's illegal for companies to treat when they don't see bugs (good to know). Overall he gave me VERY useful information and answered a ton of questions for me, and set my mind at ease. Well worth the $300 for an inspection to confirm I didn't have bedbugs. I'd absolutely recommend Connor and Burns as trustworthy and honest, and not preying on people's bedbug fear and paranoia. I initially got connected with Burns because the company I work for uses them when any pest issue arises.

I spoke with Tina. I just want to express how wonderful she was from the beginning until the end. I had seen a bed bug in my home, and I of course panicked. Tina came to my office that day for a review of some commercial pricing for us, at which time I brought up finding the bed bug. She was happy to help me get set up with an inspection and anything else I needed. She was professional and curious, and even after the inspection did find bed bugs, she answered all my crazy questions and all my calls and texts without hesitation. She truly made the experience so simple for my family and I.

The day of the inspection, I had the pleasure of being home to meet Radni and Rusty. What a great team these two make. Radni was so thorough with his inspection and Rusty was able to let us know exactly where the bugs were-Thanks Rusty!. I never would have imagined that I would be so please to work with someone, but Radni made the inspection and the follow up so simple. He made sure to do a thorough inspection after the dog got alerts. What a friendly guy. I was lucky to have Radni and Rusty come to my home. When the follow up inspection was complete, Radni made sure to put my mind at ease. Thank you for your kindness. And my son really loved Rusty.

Lastly, Isaac, the tech, was just phenomenal. He showed up right on time, and even when I was not 100% prepared because my baby was in the middle of finishing a bottle, he patiently waited for my son to finish his bottle. I had a ton of questions for Isaac as well, and not once did he make me feel rushed or like I needed to stop asking questions. He happily answered all of my questions. He was so thorough, and I am happy to say that I am not bed bug free thanks to Tina, Radni, Rusty and Isaac!

Burns did NOT do good work. Although staff who came to our house had been nice, they have no clue what they're doing. They were contracted through the rental company. Burns came for 6 months for rats in our home and made zero improvement. Caught a couple rats but that's about it. They even left dead rats outside our house. The only reason burns even closed up holes to the roof was because of another company that had come in, but still did not cover all entry possibilities. If you are going to go with a pest removal company for whatever your needs are I recommend Top Notch.
Top Notch was amazing and efficient. Very nice guy who owns it, Mike. They got rid of our issue in less than two months; and really only that long because he found the rats chewed through our heating system to try and get out since they got trapped in. After the heating duct was fixed properly, we have been rat free.

We initially contacted them to handle pest control at our property in September 2018. After they told us it was a contract rather than month-to-month (which wasn't clear in the first contact), we canceled our contract before a rep even came to service our home. They agreed to cancel, but charged our card and never refunded it.

In November, we received an email saying they were sending out a tech for our bi-monthly service. We called again and told them that we had cancelled. They indicated they had no record of our cancellation. We cancelled again and they agreed to refund us the charge from September. It never came.

We called in December asking about the refund. They said they would send a check in a few days. A few days later, we called to ask for confirmation and a cancellation number. The representative indicated that they had no record of our cancellation.

We finally disputed the charge through our bank because it was clear we were not going to get a refund by talking to the business.

I would avoid them like the plague.

Jim worked on my roof during the the hot Arizona summer (115) for multiple days to fight a Pigeon problem. He was respectful, honest, friendly, hardworking and helpful.  Burns has done other great services. I noticed that a window was broken after the work was done, obviously unintentional. Burns management has spoken with me and is already working on a solution after I had to get it fixed due to the AC running. Their investigation team is handling the situation. They are true to their customer service and I appreciate their quick response!

We have had Burn's Pest Elimination for a few years now, and have finally taken the plunge to cancel - a great decision, I'm finding out. The first year went pretty well - minimal pest problems, good service, no billing problems.

However, over the last two years their services, systems, etc. have dramatically slid. We originally hired Burns to get rid of persistent ants. Over the last two years, every month we had a service technician come out, say that he completed the whole service around our property, only to find that he clearly never did the back yard. When we asked why the ants were still in the back yard, he would say that the gate wasn't unlocked. The gate was clearly unlocked - we were actually removing and hiding the lock for the day. Additionally, several service days I was home to ensure I could guide him back and no one bothered to knock.

The ant problem became progressively worse. My entire back patio, pool, waterfall, grill, lawn, block wall and sides of the house were now crawling with biting ants. We were having the technician come out, two, three times a month and still very little progress. It would be clear where he sprayed when he actually did so - there would be a tiny little place would be untouched by ants. It was obvious the problem was not being taken care of.

I finally made a call to Blue Sky at the recommendation of a close friend. In one visit, they showed me four major nests and mounds that had built over time, and in three days all ants disappeared.

Additionally, the Billing department could never get our bill right. We signed up for a quarterly automatic billing, which was paid always auto and on time, and yet we still received monthly calls and bills to pay a balance that didn't exist. We were told 'Oh, I'm sorry, our system didn't register it' for the last two years.

Between the inability to provide services that another company provided in a single day, constant problems with the service people showing up (let alone completing the full service), and Blue Sky coming in and dealing with a monstrous problem in three days, I would highly recommend you find another company than Burns in Phoenix.

(Note: I am giving Burns a 2 because the first year was a solid 4, but these last two years are solidly a 1.)

Great place to call if you've got bird pecking at your roof problems.  We have problems with woodpeckers (we thought), but more cactus wrens (who knew??) pecking on our fireplace tops and into our stucco getting material for their nests.  When they're hammering up there on the fireplace, its like having symbols banged together in your house.  

Anyway, we were referred to Burns and Giovanni came out.  He inspected our roof and said there wasn't anything for him to 'fix' really and nothing for him to charge me for.  He suggested I get some bird spiders (floppy wire things that prevent birds from landing on the fireplace top), and some caulk, and he'd come back and put them on for me.

While I was at it, I got some plastic owls also, so he came back yesterday and installed two bird spiders, put out four owls, and caulked the little holes for me.  I'm so happy now.  The hammering was very unnerving and I was worried there was major damage happening up there that I couldn't see.

Found termites in my house and I immediately called Burns. They treated my home for ticks and prevention of cockroaches last year and did an amazing job. Lance was able to get me in for inspection that afternoon thankfully and I was scheduled for the next week. Antonio arrived and did an incredible job in fact left my property looking better than when he arrived. I am so grateful to these guys. They are professional, efficient, though, and so very kind. I will always call them for any future needs.

I was forced to use this company by my HOA when I had a termite problem.  Their employee hit on me and continually asked for my phone number, while I was alone in the house with him, and would not take no for an answer.  I was too scared to tell him to leave.  He was probably mid 40s and I was 23 at the time.  I didn't even feel safe to call and report this because he had my address and I lived alone at the time.  Every time I see one of their vans I remember this HORRIBLE experience.  I hope they teach there employees NEVER to behave this way!!

Jim Calhoun was AWESOME in helping with an unexpected Bee problem we had on our apartment patio. He was very caring (of our fear lol), very knowledgeable about their behavior, as well as VERY helpful with getting the bees under control and removing them. I needed Burns Pest Elimination to get pigeons off my roof. There were about 30 of them that had nested between my solar panels and roof tiles. So they start by setting traps for the pigeons. After a few weeks with the traps set (with Burns coming twice a week to check on them/remove the trapped pigeons) a different tech came and set up the exclusion fence around the solar panels so that they could not get under there anymore. Still, pigeons will try and return to their home so the traps had to stay up for a few weeks AFTER the exclusion fence. They came and finished the service today, took the traps off my roof. I am now pigeon free. Thanks to Jim C, my tech from Burns Peat Elimination. Nice guy too.

Update: So I reached out to Austin Burns, he came over to my home with the area manager.  They identified that I was getting the wrong treatment for these particular weeds. Once that was identified,  I got a couple of other sprayings. Once everything was good and dead, Austin and a few others torched the weeds and removed them. I'm disappointed grass is still there but that is not part of the plan. All in all everything looks better. I appreciate the Burns crew for stepping up and making right of everything.  I'm giving 3 stars because I feel the technician should have known something was off and took the next steps.

I highly recommend Burn's Pest Elimination for the quality of service and price.  

About 6 years ago, we had a minor bedbug infestation in our house.  My brother-in-law recommended Burn's since they had used them for regular extermination.  Burn's came in with a bedbug detecting dog, and located the hotspots.  The tech at that time proposed a plan to chemically treat our entire house, and heat treat the hotspots.  Took one day where we had to be out of the house during the treatment.  Knock on wood, we have been bedbug free ever since!

Then this summer, in a new house, we found we had a rodent or rodents.  Heard scratching in our bathroom wall, which after only a few days, lead to a tiny hole in the wall where we could actually see the rodent's eye looking in at us!  That prompted us to contact Burn's for help with the rodent(s).  

Jerry Clark was the rep who came out to assess and found evidence of a rat or rats, in our attic that had chewed through insulation in two spots and were going up and down the crevices between the 2x4s.  Jerry proposed a plan to trap the rodents in our attic with a few weeks of baited traps, followed by enclosure (sealing up all the holes and vents in our attic with screens, caulking, etc), followed by more weeks of traps and monitoring.

Derek Fernandes was the tech who came out for the first few weeks and attempted to trap the rodents in the attic.  Derek persisted and had some great ideas and information, but unfortunately, we had some sort of super rat that was very smart and eluded the traps.  

Anthony Carbajal was the tech who installed all the attic enclosures.  Took him about 4 hours on the roof, on a hot Arizona Summer day.  But after he finished the job, the work he did was excellent.  

So over the next week following the enclosure, we didn't hear anything in the walls, so we thought maybe the enclosure was successful and it had locked out the rat(s) from entering our attic.  But unfortunately, a few weeks later, we started to hear scratching and squeaking again in the bathroom wall!

Tanner Crandell (supervising tech) and Jerry Clark returned to investigate, and discovered there were juvenile rats in the bathroom wall!  They surmised that the original rat must've been pregnant, and when they did the attic enclosure, it locked her out.  But since she had already built a nest in the wall, the babies grew into juveniles, but eventually ran out of food from their nest, and started the scratching and squeaking.  

So this time, Jerry and Tanner placed a low-grade rat poison block inside the hole in the bathroom wall, and duct taped the hole.  Tanner returned after a few days, and the poison block was gone!  Since there was no way to know if the poison was eaten or carried away, this time, Tanner placed another poison block on a wire, which he anchored around our toilet.  Again covered the hole with duct tape, but this time, we would know how much of that poison block was eaten.  Tanner returned a few days later, and the entire block was eaten.  Tanner returned for another 3 or 4 weeks after, repeating the same process, until the poison block showed no more signs of being eaten.  Returned one last time to confirm, and by that time, the scratching and squeaking had definitely ceased.

(We did have to leave the dead rats in the wall, since unfortunately, there was really no practical way to remove them.  But both Tanner and Jerry assured us that since we are in Arizona with the dry climate, and the poison actually being a blood thinner, the dead rats would dry up pretty quickly, which they did.  We had a very slight odor in the bathroom for just a couple weeks)

So this incident was definitely one for the books, with the rat, and her juveniles, being as smart as they were!  

But I just wanted to commend Jerry Clark, Derek Fernandes, and Anthony Carbajal for their great work and persistence to make sure we were satisfied customers.  

And specifically, Tanner Crandall, for returning week after week, sometimes twice a week, and finally resolving the rat problem for us.  

I would definitely recommend this company, and these four employees, for any type of pest elimination!

I am so grateful for Karen our exterminator. We had some cockroaches and ants and they are gone! We do their regular spraying and she is just wonderful with me, the kids, and our pets. Karen is full of knowledge and truly an aficionado in the industry. I always feel safe when she is here and my kids love her fun facts. Used this company for years then it went south when they decided to send multiple reminder cards with different days/ times. They claimed computer issues for a year. Then it became no card reminders at all. I had to call every month for my service schedule. Then it became a 'text' relationship with my service tech who would text me on his way when I'm out of the house every month. Tried to speak with someone in management today about rectifying the issues and was told no one is available.
This business went from efficient to very poorly run. If you have all day to wait around and you fly by the ass of your pants, call Burns. Too many other appropriately run companies out there to choose from. I am moving on from this chaotic mess. I AM NO LONGER AVAILABLE to give you my money every month Burns

I'd give them Zero Stars, but YELP doesn't have that.

I used them for Weed Service as that is what they advertise in addition to Pest Elimination.......I had used them for Bug Service for one year only (still had bugs).

Check out the pics of their Weed Service. They killed my grass. They took no precautions around the periphery of my lawn (dead several feet in) and you will see foot prints of dead grass where he walked across it with weed killer on his boots. Then there's the hose mark of dead grass ... yep - weed killer on the hose that was laying across my grass. The manager called me and told me to send photos (which I did) and he would come out to inspect it. Seriously?? Never heard back from him either. Left a message saying that I did not want to be billed until the problem was solved - at the very least, I wanted at least 50% off. I was told my grass will grow back and then they preceded to charge my card that they had on file from my Bug Service!!

AND I STILL HAVE WEEDS!!!  AND BUGS !!!!

Really need a revamping of this company and need to get back to when they were a fledgling company and really needed customers. But sometimes when business gets big, they figure when one customer leaves, they'll replace them with 2 more.

We've been using Burns for years as a monthly pest control service at two homes.  Our current service tech (Dustin) is one of the most reliable, professional, and personable techs we've encountered in ANY industry or company.  As long as Dustin is our tech, we'll continue using Burns to protect our home from pests, especially scorpions.

Recently, we hired Burns to install screens to deter pigeon roosting.  Gerry was responsive and great at communication, helping scope out a solution that fit our needs without trying to up-sale needless additions.  Zack (the installation tech) did a fantastic job installing the screens with neat and clean lines which met our admittedly picky standards.

This place is great!

We had pests in our house in 2011, and Burns killed every bug there was. The lady coming to investigate was amazing (I forget her name), and they gave us time to get our cat and our valuables out of our house before they fumigated. Plus, they gave us tips (that work!) on how to stay safe from these pests! Also, the dog that sniffed for bugs in our house did a cool trick!

We used this company again in October, and the dog came again, the dog's name was Rocket and he was so cute! The man handling Rocket was nice, and showed us the stuff and tricks Rocket could do. Luckily, it was a false alarm, there were no pests!

I would totally recommend this company. Helpful staff and solutions that work! :)

We had them come to our house to get rid of a pest problem only to have their technician Tommy Arthur sexually harass my wife by asking if she had adult toys in the bedroom after we had cleared out the bedroom of any electronics or batter operated devices and then he had the nerve to text her asking her to friend request him on his personal Facebook cause he doesn't always have his work phone. Upper management then made comments to insinuate my wife may be blame. This is completely unacceptable and as a Veteran I would warn all of you not to let them in houses alone!!! They did not fire the technician and since I told them I was not comfortable with there service anymore and to cancel the required follow up inspection they now told me it is only a piece of mind inspection and no refunds. Thank you Burns for sexually harassing my wife and I had to pay for it !

The owner Mike Boyle phoned and was able to get everything under control and my faith is restored in Burns Pest Elimination!!!

Technician Mike (not the owner) showed up very professional and did an excellent job.

I will be a return customer as I anticipated from the start.

Not a call, not a cancellation- NOTHING!  I waited for the technician for 3 hours. 

I may not make a dent in the business,  but I can tell you Burns would've had a repeat customer for years - they lost my entire family's business.

worst customer service on the management side i have ever experienced. Very rude, dismissive people on the phones, i have had multiple situations where nothing has been resolved. they have argued with me over the phone, so disrespectful. if i didn't have them thru my apartment complex i would never choose them. my big problem has still not been resolved as it has been over a year now. very very unhappy.

Just had Dan Ryan from Burns out this afternoon.  We suspected a termite issue.  Dan could have told us anything, but what Dan did say was no problem with termites.  I am amazed and thankful for Dan and Burns honesty about what I needed.  Thank you Dan. Thank you Burns Pest!!!

I live in Alaska during the summer... But when I stay in Arizona during the off-season I always use Burn's Pest elimination. My partner Bruce is terrified of scorpions and always makes me do a full service when we get back to our winter home in the Valley of the Sun. Our technician Mike Boyle is kind and gentle, not to mention easy on the eyes... we trust him with a key to our house and have for years.

P.s our dogs love him as well and that means more to Bruce and I than everything else combined

I've had a mixed experience with Burns.  They did our initial termite treatment years ago, and we've maintained an annual service policy with them ever since.  Good decision to maintain the policy, as the termites re-assert themselves at least once a year.  I have almost no problems with their techs or customer service folks - with one exception, I've been treated courteously and well.  But I do have a problem with their lack of promptness when service is required.  I typically wait at least a week for a tech, and today, for the second time, I've been given a wait time of a full month.  I can literally watch the termites progress in the affected areas while waiting on Burns.  This is frankly unacceptable.  It's time to consider options.

EDIT - The day after I posted this review, I received a call from Burns customer service rep Austin, and was told that my service date could be moved up.  It went from one month to one week, which is acceptable.  Their tech just finished up on schedule.  I guess the lesson here is that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, though I'd still maintain that no squeaking should be necessary at all.

I've been using Burns for pest service for the past 16 years. Their efficiency and attention to detail are some of the reasons I've never wavered. They have helped me with bees, pre,treating for a swimming pool build and of course, my monthly visit. After i moved a couple of years ago my current tech, George always calls ahead of his arrival and i suspect he will take care of my house for years to come.

We had solar panels installed, and never thought of how pigeons would love those panels! They propogated and abundantly! Jerry Clark came and estimated what it would take to gate off (I think the term was exclusion) the panels and other netting we had on our roof, and recommended a couple trapping sessions. They humanely trapped quite few, and when a huge storm came through, one of the traps fell off the roof (it was a huge storm! It wasn't the only thing that blew off!), And they promptly replaced and fortified the roof and added on another week of trapping. Again, I fault the storm, not the trap. We don't have the pigeons anymore! They stayed at it until the birds were gone. Great, honest, prompt and  service!

I had a funny but serious situation that involved this company & a couple of fine gentlemen.  I wish I could post higher stars.  They deserve it!!
I lost my phone and the GPS indicated that it was at Burns Pest Elimination. After walking into the building, I explained to the receptionist that I lost my phone and the GPS pointed to this location and address. She looked at me with such surprises, she probably thought this was a prankster.  She saw my emotions and knew this was not a prank. She was able get 2 men to help me track my phone and its location on their property. This area of Phoenix is not bad but was a little rough around the edges and they said they would help me. What a relief but at the same time I understood that they are busy and need to tend to running their business. I explained that I was fine and can handle this on my own. They demanded that I let them help, so I did. The phone tracker showed the phone moving around the whole time we were tracking. These men appeared to not be your average employee but someone higher up. I didn't focus on who they were and was just happy to have help. The bad news, the ringer was on silent. Eventually the tracker pointed out a dumpster on the backside of a church.  Thank goodness the one man had access to this lot. I was so relieved but still stressed that my phone was in the trash. As we made our way to the dumpster the older gentlemen said he would get something to help grab the trash to locate the phone. I was still with the younger man and we just started digging in the trash, like dumpster diving loons. After about an hour still no phone. We were very puzzled as to how the GPS pointed to this location. We were dirty and stinky but we kept looking. I quickly realized that I can download an app that can force the lost phone to ring even if the volume is off. We had an idea to force the phone to ring due to the find my phone app. We heard the phone ringing by the dumpster. But when we got closer, the phone was in my vehicle the whole time.  OMG!!!!  LOL...  We looked at each other and started to laugh. What a fool I felt. Making these hard working folks dig in the trash and search for something they didn't own. To add insult to my embarrassment these fine men turned out to be Mr. Burns himself and Jack Dayen (Ceo).  OMG!!! I just wanted to faint, making the owner and a CEO dirty and dig in the dumpster. YIKES!!!!   This type of story sounds made up, but it is sooo true.  
The moral to this story....
There are some amazing people in this world, helpful , kind hearted and willing to make a sacrifice to help someone in need.  Mr. Burns & Jack.... really came to my rescue without question, full of patience and made me feel my problems were more important than theirs. Wow..
Thank you both for being there for a total stranger, (not anymore). I am so honored, that I am signing up for a pest Elimination program.

Just because I have to put a star I will put one. I will never use them again. I have been a loyal customer for a couple of years. Paid for the years in full. But recently they have not been showing up when scheduled. I have had to call them. What is more frustrating is they reschedule for the following week. So I have to get my house ready for them again all over and just to waste another 3 hours of my day in hopes they will show up.

Jim C. helped with our bee problem. We had a swarm of them on our balcony. He got rid of them same day and told us how to handle if they return. He stayed late even to help us clean up the balcony. He was helpful, nice and respectful. I would def recommend him.

I hired Burns to spray a 2000 square foot patio home with a tiny yard.  I was charged $144 for a single visit, which is nearly triple the price of my normal exterminator.  The customer service person stated that this inflated price is the company's Policy.  It's my fault for assuming that Burns is a competitive operator in a competitive industry.  Also, you should not have to pay an annual renewal fee to have a guy spray your bugs.  I would recommend avoiding this rip-off company.

They came and eliminated the rats on my property.
I did have to call them and email them just so they gave me the updates.
I wish they had someone in the office who responds to our emails.
But Juan, the employee who did the work gave me the updates by texting me and I appreciated his letting me know.

I do not recommend Burns for bird control. They have a minimum charge of 250$ no matter how simple the job... there tech doesn't read notes, I asked to call in the morning to set up an appointment cause I work graveyard. The tech calls me mid day and wakes me up and says, oops I didn't read my notes as when to call you. ...horrible service... and I didn't even hire them..

We have Steve Flett at our house for monthly pest service, and he is always kind and courteous, and takes extra steps (shoe covers, locking doors behind him, etc) to keep our house clean and secure.  He does a good job on the spraying and takes extra steps to help out with all of the small pests (scorpions, crickets, ants, etc.) that we come across in the desert of North Scottsdale.  Highly recommend Steve F. and Burns Pest.

We have termites in a house we recently bought and have had to have it treated multiple times.  The last 2 times the technician was Julio and I was very impressed with his thoroughness, explanations and great attitude.  Burns is lucky to have such a great employee!

Service is actually very good and prompt. My problem is when I almost got killed by a burns van running a red light and the company still have not tried to contact me or seem to care when I told them what happened. The burns van was driving erratically then ran a red light during a busy morning. It was terrifying and I would never want that person who would endanger so many lives working for me.

I have never written a review for a company, and only signed up because of how mad I am. Dave Burns from Arizona Sports always talks about these people, so I tried them out. The ad claims its like a dome is placed over your house and no bugs get in.

Well, just had them spray 4 days ago and my bathroom is covered in ants...Really disappointed.

We love having burns out. Lately, we had a few techs come out that we weren't familiar with. So, we spoke with Ben in the residential department who made sure that our favorite tech would always be the person who comes out. As someone who regularly works from home alone when these techs come, having someone I know and am comfortable with is SO important. HUGE kudos to Ben for getting this all organized for us so we always have our favorite guy come! If you ever have any problems just call Ben! He's your guy!!

We have been using Burns' BiMonthly pest control for years now.  The price is reasonable, and the technicians are always professional and nice.   I really do not like bugs, and I rarely see them.  If we do notice a problem, they will come and respray our home for free.

I heard they hire Veterans so I had to at least try to give them my business. It was the right move! I've never had such a thorough and competent exterminator! Our house was empty for several months, so when we moved back in, the wildlife banned against us, led by scorpions! Needless to say, they're all dead or gone, either of which works for me! Brittany (spelling?) explained everything to me in great detail and had my little dogs safety on her agenda the entire time. I'm very happy I decided to go with Burns!

This year has been a continual disappointment with Burns service.  Sometimes the service person does not show up when scheduled or shows up much later.  Today they showed up on an unscheduled day without prior notice.  We used to have better service from Burns but it has deteriorated.  What is going on?

Do not call this company. There are plenty of other good options out there. This company is unprofessional, has the RUDEST lady that answers the phone. They give you little info if you call asking questions, or just plain wrong information. Unfortunately we had no choice when dealing with them since we live in an apartment complex but this will definitely not be our choice when we move out ever. Save your time and money and call someone else.
