Best in Phoenix AZ

I wanted to remodel my kitchen and I came across this shop which is somewhat new in the neighborhood. I wanted something trendy and I knew I couldn't do everything by myself, particularly in terms of style, which is great since they work with a designer.

We're still working on remodeling, but so far so good. The quality of their products is really good and it's recycled so that's a plus. I'm just worried I'll won't be able to stop at the kitchen and will be going for the living room, but oh well.

I used Larry and the crew at AZ Floor to do laminate and carpeting at my mother's home, and laminate at my home several years ago. They were less expensive than everywhere else I looked and the crew was professional, clean and quick for both jobs. They even came in on short notice about a year later and fixed a portion of the floor after I had a small flood.  I was so impressed, I called him again to redo the flooring in the rest of my house this year.  Little did I know that the laminate I wanted to extend into other rooms is no longer manufactured, but he went on the hunt and found the last boxes in the country in a warehouse! I highly recommend AZ Floor!

Our windows looked great and carpets cleaned as well.  Very nice guy, very accommodating and mindful about customer preferences. I would call them again.

Bryce at HBO Construction was great! He was responsive, on time, and did great work on our bathroom shower.

After several estimates, we knew Bryce was the guy for the job. He was fair and knowledgeable without giving us a crazy dollar amount to do the job.

10/10 will be recommending him to our friends and family!

The owner is very professional and friendly answering all questions and giving me a quote. Had several room of tile cleaned and sealed. The work was excellent!!!  The men who did the job were friendly and courteous doing their job well. I will use them again and highly recommend their services!!

Joe came out quickly and made us a priority. He met our budget and timeline. Was a great communicator and has good resources. Would recommend for your next home renovation.

I've tried for over 2 days to reach someone at this company to get a quote for our upstairs flooring. I cannot fathom how they have 5 starts when they do not even return emails or calls.

I see also that they are Rosie certified. This also baffles me. We've not had issues with Rosie certified vendors before, but it does make me wonder whether they are no longer in business or just unreachable.

Looks like they were good at one time...what a shame.

Ken Armstrong of Armstrong Innovations:  FRAUD ALERT for custom kitchen and bathroom remodel.  The old common contractor practice of fraud is alive and well, and I found it in Anthem, AZ.  He's an underskilled laborer who took our money and hired another equally unskilled subcontractor, and together, they ruined all 3 of our expensive countertops.  Ken's highly distracted and disorganized, and has enormous difficulty staying on any task, so he didn't, with us.  He instead started something else, and never quite finished anything he started, but he had no problem asking for lots more money for his shoddy workmanship while overcharging by thousands.  He kept and hid the receipts to himself, despite more than one request for them, leading to suspicion about his questionable business practices, since he already lied to us about his availability and about showing up for work, and he had covered the damaged wood he installed in our home with blue tape over it.  He called this "custom design."   We would soon discover that we had legitimate reason to confirm our suspicion was true, and to fire him, to prevent further financial loss. "It's no big deal" not to show up for work, he said, with a childish, unprofessional excuse, representing the best of what I saw of his business acumen.  He's excessively arrogant about what he does badly, and he did it all badly.   From the brown water discharge from my new plumbing he installed, to the white tile he poorly grouted and failed to correct, to the stone flooring he discolored with his dirty sealant, to the damaged and scarred wood he installed, to the pocket door he hung wrong per installation instructions he didn't read, to the countertop fiasco with no one using published installation instructions, resulting in uneven and unlevel and unusable surfaces, and to all other numerous issues he created for himself, he blamed his blatant installation errors on everything else BUT himself, offering faulty logic for his costly shortcomings, never admitting he grossly misrepresented his capabilities, and himself as a reputable businessman. He walked off our job during his subcontractor's countertop installation, so he could bid on another project.  I watched as no level and no measuring tape was used, resulting in a sloppy countertop I can't use because of gross height and leveling deficiencies.  "That's just crazy", he said, when I inquired about his need to measure the range for its custom height requirements in preparation for the countertop installation.  Putting countertops on before putting cabinet doors on was one of his very bad judgments.  "Trust me", he said about his countertop subcontractor, whose last name and business card he withheld from us when asked, so that we could follow up with our Silestone 15 year warranty that we will never see that he failed to produce for us after we paid for the material and the installation.  While he was hired to work with us, he was evasive and unavailable.  He offered us whatever we asked for in our custom design, then told us he had lots of experience with it, then left us completely inconvenienced with poor attendance, poor quality work, and failing to honor his word of being available to us for his assistance with our custom project.  He offered to spend some of his contracted time picking up and delivering our tub, toilets, and larger purchases for us, but, he left us to do it for ourselves.  He said that he would help us with design ideas and specific material selections for our custom design, but didn't, then rudely blamed us for delaying him, leaving us hanging and causing us further delays, such that we had to ask for the face to face meeting with him in writing, that he refused.  He refused to guarantee his work, and then insulted us before asking us for 4500 more dollars the next day.  He made excuses for the 3940.00 problem he created with the countertops, then walked away from the project.  Completely abandoned with no contact for over two weeks, he left us with poor workmanship and leaky plumbing and no cabinet doors.  He cashed our 5000 dollar check without depositing any of it.  "When is Ken coming back from vacation?" asked one of his subcontractors, during the time period he was given to fix the identified errors in our home, while time ticked away towards his given deadline.   His lack of integrity and ability to follow through with his approaching deadlines describe his style.  You deserve to know in advance that he doesn't make his own cabinet doors, but he never told us that until just before he abandoned the project, when we confronted him about his poor quality work and asked for that face to face meeting that he refused.  This dog is not worth the filing fee to take to court, but I'd love to show a jury the pictures and video of what he thinks is good work. Underskilled, unethical, and blatantly dishonest is what we experienced. Countertop subcontractor works for business whose license is suspended by ROC.

Mike and his crew did such a good job with our tile removal. I'm really just so impressed and happy with how things went. They showed up right on time and got to work quickly. They did much more than I expected as far as protecting household items and minimizing dust. I even asked them to remove tile in a closet full of clothes - Im looking at everything right now and aside from the tile being gone, it's like nothing even happened! Beyond doing a great job with the actual tile removal, he and his crew were very respectful, polite, and generally helpful. I would recommend them to friends, family, and anyone else. Pricing was very competitive too, money well spent.

I searched for a small business locally owned who is licensed, insured and bonded.  We wanted out tile and grout cleaned and sealed as well as our kitchen chairs cleaned. I text Jake (the owner) through Yelp.  He gave me a quote and it was spot on.  No price gouging, add ons at the end.  Zane arrived promptly on time.  He was very efficient but didn't rush.  We talked and walked through the job and he got underway.  
These pictures of before/after don't do justice but our floors and chairs look amazing!!  I'm extremely happy with the work, communication, promptness, and that we can support a small local business.
Hands down, I will recommend Starr Cleaning Services to friends and neighbors.

Mark was simply amazing from the start! I was referred to him by a good friend of mine as I needed help!! I have 2 chihuahuas and one loves to pee in our room!! (My female) well I just had a newborn on 8/30 and knew the carpets needed to be treated ASAP! So I called, he answered and we scheduled our appointment. He was punctual which I appreciate! He is very friendly and super quick and efficient!! He finished our 2 rooms and offered me and my father in law to see what he pulled from the room. I was shocked and disgusted but I'm happy he showed us! The rooms do not smell at all!! He uses all organics and no chemicals so it is safe for the whole family, yes even our newborn and our pets!! He even gave us some tips for after care once my baby is a bit older!! Overall I'm very satisfied with his service!! I'll be using him once a year as he recommended or we will pull the carpet!!

I cannot imagine a more beautiful floor than what Sierra Hardwood did for us. We were out of town and they came in, installed the mirage oak floor and left  with everything cleaned up. It was a great pleasure to work with Scott Wysocki, the owner. I would wholeheartedly recommend him and the mirage product.

Hired Shannon to lay tile and do a shower renovation. He quoted 7-10 days to do the job. One month later we had to fire him because the job wasn't even half way done and he estimated the amount of tile needed wrong . We had to order more expensive tile twice and it still was not enough  due to his bad cuts and waste.

We ended up having to demo his work and hire a new contractor to fix all of his mistakes. His work ethic is horrible late every day or missed several days. He is very messy and deceiving would definitely not recommend this guy.
Ended up costing us an additional $5000- $7000
BEWARE!!!!!
