We had an outlet that urgently needed to be inspected/repaired. Based on his stellar reviews, we reached out to Alex who was very communicative. He was able to thoroughly repair our damaged outlet in a timely manner while also providing me information that will help us detect problems in the future. Scott is the electrician who showed up at the house.  He's the one I spoke with and was great.  He told me up front about the $165 investigation fee and that it would apply to the actual work.  Fine.

I had previously used an Angie's List deal for $49.   This guy was nice, spoke English OK and stuck his $49/one hour deal.  Fair enough.  But he also rattled the breaker in my panel claiming that - when it made noise that I heard - that I needed to replace the entire panel for about $3000.  

However, when Scott showed up, he checked out the breaker panel.  He find that the 'noisy' breaker had 'melted' onto the breaker panel bars.   That gave it the noise.  However, he found a great solution.  He checked all the breakers and found one that was not used.  So he put in a new breaker but moved it into a new sport on the bar.  That solved the problem - and without a $3000 cost for a new box.  

Scott was on time, professional, honest and straightforward in his explanations.  Hire him.

These guys are fast, smart and good. Called today because new dishwasher installer required plug-in outlet instead of existing hard-wired one. Was able to get them here within couple of hours, and they completed the job quickly and for a fair price. Highly recommend!

Just want to give a long overdue shout-out to Penna Electric for a job they did for me last year and again for a job they did for me a couple of weeks ago.

Last year I needed to replace the electrical service panel at my home. I contacted 6 electrical contractors to get an estimate for the work.  Of the six, 4 showed up to look at the proposed job.  Of these 4 only Todd Penna, the founder and CEO of Penna Electric, gave me a written quote-and that was given to me at the conclusion of the job survey. Further, Todd explained fully all of what the job entailed and the time it would take to complete the job.  Additionally, Todd did something the other contractors did not do.  He showed me a binder that had documentation showing that his licensing and insurance was current.  After reading Yelp reviews of Penna Electric it was a no-brainer selecting them to do the job. That job was started and completed on time.  Sergio was very professional and did the work efficiently, respected my property and cleaned up at the end of the day.  I was fully satisfied with the job Penn Electric did.  

So when it came to adding a couple of new dedicated circuits to my home a couple of weeks ago, I didn't think twice about who to call.  My first and only call was to Penna Electric.  Linda was great at setting up an appointment for Todd to come by and do a job survey.  When Todd came by he told me what my options were for adding the new circuits and upgrading 3 receptacles to GFCI protected.  Before Todd left he gave me a written quote and an itemized list of required materials for the job.  I soon received a call from Linda giving me the date that the job could begin.  Guillermo was the electrician who did the actual work and he was very friendly, professional and neat.  The job was done to my complete satisfaction.

For those looking for an electrical contractor who lives up to their motto (On Time - On Demand - On Budget) I say you can't go wrong with Penna Electric. Aside from being very knowledgeable, Todd Penna is honest, professional, dependable and very easy to talk to.  He'll answer all your questions and will explain all the work that needs to be done in plain language.

I give a 3 star rating.  The workmanship was great but appointment times were not kept which was quite frustrating.  But when Oscar showed up it was a job well done to take care of my GFCIs.

Recently needed an electrician to fix some troubling power outages in certain regions of our house. Thank you Yelp reviewers for leading me to Yuri. Very nice, professional man who was always on time and extremely thorough. Fair price and no pressure whatsoever trying to convince me other work was needed.   If i need electrical work done again, it will be Yuri.

I love yelp and I should have not used this company. Manny Diaz came out to my location and fixed the problem that we had. He had to order the part and said he would call. He never called when he said he would I had to call several times to find the status of the part. He said it would only take 2 days to get the part well that was a lie it took over a week. Then i had him come back again to fix something else giving him the benefit of the doubt. He forgot he had an appointment never showed. Then he finally came out and did not finished the job when he said he would,  and he left never came back. Never received a call!!!! So the job has been left incomplete!!!!! Very disappointed!   Don't use this company

We absolutely loved our experience with Nick! We blew a fuse and could not regain power to half of our house. Called Nick at 11in the afternoon and he was here at 2 and done in 20 mins! Great price and helped my dad fix something small really quick as well. Super nice, great timing and a great price! We will definitely be calling him again if we need anything! Can't recommend Mario and his team enough, they were great to work with and did an awesome job on a complete re-wire and panel upgrade for our old house. The bid was competitive with others received and Mario and his team were easy to communicate with. Job was completed on schedule with no added costs. Installing new fixtures or special outlets after the re-wire was done for no extra cost, and house was kept as clean as possible during such a major renovation.

For anyone with an old Long Beach house that needs a complete re-wire, give Mario a call!

Manuel is the best Electrician I have ever worked with. He has helped us since 2010 with all our landscaping lights, interior lights, security cameras, and everything else electrical. He is very reliable, trust worthy, pleasant, punctual and does quality work at a very reasonable price. I wish I could clone him for all other types of work I need done around my house.
