Seven Electric was founded by Manny Diaz the current owner in 2003. Previously Manny was working in the Insurance and Loan agent business. After learning he did not like to be confined to a typical 9:00 - 5:00 office job, he left his lucrative corporate job to pursue his true passion. Now over 30 years later he’s glad he did, Seven Electric.

I began this trade in 1985 on the east coast. After a year there I moved back to California and began working for an Industrial electrical contractor. Several years later I began making commercial calls. As the years progressed I worked in all phases of the trade. Troubleshooting and industrial work are what I enjoy the most. TLDR
Poor communication, no call/no shows, lots of excuses. DO NOT RECOMMEND
I usually don't write reviews, but this is so no one would have to go through the nightmare that I had to. I can relate to all the negative reviews.
Back in Aug 2021, I requested a quote through Yelp during the Delta variant. I supplied several videos, pictures,building plans and asked if a quote could be provided and was very flexible during the initial communication. Manny said he had been to my building several times and was fine giving me a quote. The job was to run and install 8 lights in my unit and an EV charger in my parking garage.
After I put a deposit down, the communication began to fall apart. He said EV permits were backlogged and it could take months to get one. So instead we went ahead and did the lights inside while we waited for the EV permit.
The crew came in one day in Sept and ran the conduit. This is when things started to fall apart. Manny stopped responding to texts and phone calls on scheduling me. I would have to check in with him nearly every other day to even try to get someone to come out to do the interior lights. He even scheduled me on a day and no one showed up! Extremely unprofessional. The phone calls and texting went on for weeks. So after a month or so went by and 4 of the 8 lights were finally installed and I decided to ask for some of my money back because we weren't getting anywhere with the EV charger. Magically, Manny was able to get the permit the same day I told him I was going to move on.
I was too committed to back out and look for other electricians, so I let him continue and put me on the schedule. He kept saying he was backed up for a month and would try to squeeze me in. I even told him you can schedule me in a month, I just want a commitment and not for me to keep calling and texting for availability like I was on standby. On several occasions he would say I will definitely have someone on (insert date) and when I would call/text to confirm the appointment he would make up some excuse and brush me off. I do not have a work from home job, so it was extremely frustrating to coordinate with him and my employer. At the end December, I decided to not continue with Seven Electric.
On top of that, there was 4 instances over the 4 month period where he had me scheduled and no one showed up!! So many excuses, much wasted time and money.
In conclusion, he never finished my EV charger and was only able to do the conduit and 4 out of 8 lights. I had to hire another company (they had no issues getting an EV permit on the same day I hired them). The crew that did the labor was fine and respectful, it is Manny that I would not trust or would ever do business with again.
I cannot say enough great things about Manny and the Seven Electric team.
Every single step you know you're in great hands. You ask questions, they're there to explain abs thoroughly. Their work? Top notch.
Electrical work can be extremely daunting and scary. No one ever wants to risk their homes or businesses burning down because of crappy electrical work.
Know you're in great hands with an electrical contractor/electrician who knows the importance of doing it right the first time. I've been using them for over 15 years and I won't use or trust anyone else!
Call them now for your next electrical project!!!!
Avoid. Never finished the work, every excuse in the book, stopped returning calls, and when they did reach out, just more excuses and delays. If you want your work finished, look elsewhere.
Extremely unprofessional!
I contacted them a month ago. It took them forever to finally schedule something because the owner was never calling back as he promised all the time. I was immediately charged 50% just to schedule a day a month later. The day before the appointment, the owner contacted me saying that they are doing some other job somewhere else and that they could only come in like another week knowing fully well that I would be out of town and could not reschedule. And why? Isn't waiting for a month enough time? I requested a refund of the deposit. Still didn't get it... It was a waste of time and money (this $500 could be invested instead of laying in their account doing nothing). No work ethic whatsoever. Better find someone, who actually shows up without a load of excuses that have nothing to do with you.

Really professional and responsive, called in Thursday and they came to install on Friday, really appreciated.
Everything looks nice, and recommend to anyone who is interested to install a wall charger.

I had the Seven Electric team come out to help me with some MUCH-needed electrical work. They are obviously very popular/busy but nonetheless they got me on their schedule asap. In a very professional manner, they communicated every step of the way if there was any issues or delays which is all that I can can ask for. In the heart of this pandemic its so refreshing to find a business that makes you feel like family from the very first phone call... Most importantly they took care of my electrical issues. Not to mention- the price was very reasonable for the work I had done... I don't know who needs to hear this but I definitely would recommend them to anyone who needs good electrical service! Employees 10/10!!!
Love the work they do. I am the property manager for a business here on the Westside of LA, and Seven Electric is our go to for all our service and electrical needs. We recently purchased a new property, and needed to re-wire the entire first floor. Their techs did a great job. We also had them install 4 high-power exterior lights for security, as well as called them out to troubleshoot and restore power to our 3rd floor. Manny is very responsive, and his technicians are hard workers. And their prices are competitive. As a local business here in LA, we highly recommend Seven Electric, and will continue to use them for all our electrical repairs and facility upgrades.
So happy I took my neighbor's advice and contacted Seven Electric to do a safety check on all my outlets and wires (since my house is very old). Manny got back to me the same day even though he's crazy busy. He was able to get my project started the next day, sending over Jose and Ramon who replaced and repaired some dangerous outlets that were about to short-circuit. They also safely removed a ton of cables that used to be connected to 3 satellite dishes.
These guys are super professional, quick with their work, and very reasonably priced. I'm so impressed that I've asked them to do another project for me.

This was the second time I've worked with Manny and Seven Electric. The first was a pretty comprehensive EV charger installation and this was for a pretty complex fan installation. I had spoken with 5 different electricians before checking back with Manny. Of the 5, 3 said the installation was not possible. Manny not only said they could do it, but given the uniqueness of the project, he, and his team, exuded the confidence I needed to move forward with the job. Long story short, his team was able to successfully install the fan and did a great job. Manny was also very quick to respond and was very communicative along the way.
Manny is amazing!!!!! He was able to answer all of my questions and I am very crazed because at this time my sister is in the hospital and I am not the best communicator. I am so stressed! He is patient and kind. Thank you Manny your rock!
Great customer service! It was very easy to communicate with Manny and he was very responsive and great about scheduling us, (initial appt. within a day!). Alex was awesome, he was the one who came out to help us and was very polite, very cautious about COVID wearing his PPE, cleaned up after work, etc...Alex also made great recommendations, also tightened some loose writing, and fixed a long-term outage we had in our bathroom!! We finally have full lighting after- being in partial darkness for almost six months LOL!!! So glad I found them last week on YELP!! Will recommend you to others. Thanks again!

Seven Electric installed a Tesla Wall charger safely and quickly. They are very professional and were good with my pets. The work looks good and Alex was very informative of everything I needed so I would not waste time or money. 10/10 Also they are 24 hours in case you are in a pinch.
Had them replace a GFI outlet. They did a great job. Fast Service & Covid safe. Would use again.

Super fast service from Manny on the phone. Had an electrician Alex over the next day to correct electric for building inspection. Highly recommend!!
Responsive, knowledgeable and professional. Turns Manny's advice saved me having to hire him! My plumber installing the water heater was able to comply with the City correction (even though the City specified needing an electrician, Manny told me what to do and it was fine). Ethical contractors are hard to find!
I called Manny in a bit of a panic late one evening - I had tried to replace my fire alarm by myself (hard-wired) and was worried I'd done it wrong, and no one else was able to come by quickly enough. He totally calmed me down on the phone and before offering to come by (knowing that it would be expensive for me) he offered to have me take a picture of my issue and walk me through how to fix it over the phone, free of charge to save me money. At the end I asked him to come by anyways because I really wasn't able to figure it out myself. His partner came in less than an hour and was so nice. He totally soothed my anxiety and fixed everything for me super fast. I genuinely felt very taken care of and they never made me feel dumb for having no idea what I was doing lol. Super fast and efficient and kind and helpful, they cared more about me than making money and genuinely were so nice. I can't recommend more!

I have been using Seven Electric for over 10 years now, personally on my home and professionally in my commercial locations. From the owner to the staff, everyone is professional, polite and knowledgeable. Dealing with anything electric is scary, but I never worry with them. I know they'll tell it to me straight so I am aware as an owner of the issues at hand and how to PROPERLY fix them. Yes you can save money with someone who cuts corners, but why would you risk it to potentially cause a fire, hurt someone badly or have a liability? Do the right thing and hire someone who knows right from wrong!
Personally - my husband and I recently bought a home that was just 'renovated'. Our inspector at escrow stated that all electrical was updated, the panel was new and it all looked great. I had Manny and the team come out to install some items and troubleshoot why I couldn't have my living room lights on AND one item plugged in. Long story short, the entire house wasn't wired correctly, and the previous owner (who was a flipper) cut corners throughout! There was even an issue in the crawl space where if the city inspector would have seen what was NOT done, they wouldn't have passed inspection! Beware of issues your inspector isn't catching and hire Seven Electric!

I called a couple different electricians to get quotes on an issue I was having with a couple electrical outlets suddenly not working. After getting quotes of $250 from the other places just to come out and see what the issue was, someone from seven electric called me and was able to fix the problem for free over the phone. I just text a picture of my breaker box and he had instructed me how to fix it myself! Thanks for saving me the time and $!
I recently moved into a condo with multiple units. Seven Electric helped with setting up the DCC box from my unit's meter & installed the Tesla Wall Connector professionally. I really liked how it was cleanly installed within a couple hours. Highly recommend Manny who helped me throughout the whole process of getting the right parts & suggesting ways to make it work.
I sent a request for a quote thru Yelp and got an immediate reply. Manny from Seven Electric responded right away to my Yelp inquiry. The first thing he did was try to help me fix my problem over the phone so it would be free! That didn't work so he sent his guys the next day. They were prompt and really helpful. I highly recommend them.
I called Seven Electric after their quick response to my Yelp posting. Manny - over the phone - told me exactly what the issue was without taking advantage of the situation (was a simple reset issue). Amazing customer care and service. We're looking forward to calling him up the next time we run into a real snag - hopefully not TOO soon, but we feel much better knowing that kind of integrity exists in an electrician. Wow. I cannot believe the amazing service I got from Manny today! I needed a quote for a simple job that I wasn't comfortable doing and sent a request for a quote out to multiple companies. I got responses from all 5 of them. One belaboring the simple job into a huge ordeal with a quote and another couldn't come look at the job until 2 weeks from now etc etc. After asking me a few questions, Manny held my hand through the install which I was able to do myself - for free! Who does that?! That is some high level of professional integrity. I am so thankful. He guided me to do it safely and even troubleshooted with me when I needed help from him. I will only use them moving forward for my electrical needs. I am still shocked that someone was willing to share their expertise with me over the phone and via text message. The job was to exchange a normal switch to a smart switch for a light. Manny gave me the instructions, a quick stop at the hardware store, 30 minutes later i was done! Thank you Manny! My neighbor had them install an electric car charger, liked their work and recommended them to me. So I reached out to have them install two outdoor junction boxes so I could install Ring cameras.
They were quick to respond to my request, get the work done and cost effective. Manny was easy to work with and communication was clear.

Seven Electric responded quickly to our need for a junction box for our new oven. We sent some pics and setup a time for a quote on the weekend. Once onsite, the box was just installed.

Manny & Erin helped me resolve a sporadic electric issue with my house in Manhattan Beach. Various circuits and lights were randomly flickering or going out from time to time and it was a difficult issue to diagnose.
Instead of trying to mess with rewiring the house or looking for some worn wires, they helped me rebuild the main panel with new inside components and then got Edison to assist in tying down the exterior weatherhead and street connections.
We are now back in business.
Seven Electric is prompt, responsive, and courteous. They were able to come out on a Sunday with short notice. I had a 5 star experience with them and will use them in event of future issues.

I had a power outage in my area recently which left my townhome lights and thermostat down despite my attempts to flip the switches on the breaker panel. I contacted Seven Electric and spoke with Manny. He was able to quickly solve the issue and had my home's electricity fully restored. I recommend using Seven Electric due to their professional service and reliability.
Helped me tremendously over the phone today. They were very nice and allowed me to send photos and generously gave good advice. Very grateful! Highly recommend.
I called Seven Electric because I had an outlet with reverse polarity. This would be a 5 minute fix for him (20 minutes for me!), and he just told me how to do it and asked that I send photos of what I did to ensure it was done correctly. So job completed at NO COST! If Manny came out, he said this job would be about $150, which is a very reasonable amount and a lot lower than the 2 other quotes I received ($250-$350 range). Thanks Manny!

Okay, so what makes these guys so good. First of all, they actually answer their phone. I spoke to Manny, told him that I had three electrical outlets no longer working and asked him what his minimum charge was. Manny told me the lowest possible price, barring any other unforeseen issues. The price was better than I expected and I told Manny to proceed. Two of his staff arrived just two hours after my initial phone call, fixed the problem and charged me the exact same lowest possible price that Manny had quoted. Am I satisfied with their service and recommend them highly. NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT.

I used Seven Electric this summer to rewire and update our home. Manny and Seven Electric were awesome. Manny always let us know the schedule and when his guys were coming. I was able to continue working at home during the entire process. His guys were very professional and COVID safe during the entire time. Words cannot describe how professional and efficient Manny and his team are! I reached out to him around 8pm and within 20 minutes he was able to schedule me in and fix our problem the next day. He explained everything in a way I was able to understand without feeling dumb. Not to mention, the prices was amazing. Definitely would recommend him to anyone needing electrical services!
Manny came out to my house to install four fans and retrofit them so that they could be remote control operated. Manny also installed a wifi garage door opener. For each project, Manny made sure to pay attention to detail. Manny made sure that everything was picture perfect prior to moving on to the next project. Everything works great and I will be calling Manny again with my electrical needs.

My lights started flickering in my home office along with my computer monitor and printer going out and coming back on. That night my wife said the kitchen lights were flickering. Pretty soon we realized that 40-50% of the lights and outlets were affected.
I called a licensed electrician that I know. He said it must be a loose wire inside the house. He recommended that I wait for a circuit to go out completely, then we would know where the trouble is coming from. Otherwise he would have to go through the whole house (2,600 sq. ft.) tearing up the plaster walls looking for a loose wire.
But the flickering went on for several days and eventually the power would go out for five to ten minutes at a time - nearly all the lights in the house.
I called Manny of Seven Electric to get a second opinion. As soon as I told him the problem he said it must be an outside problem. One of the wires or connections coming from the pole. He reasoned that if it was inside the house, there wouldn't be so many circuits involved. Manny got on the phone to So. Cal. Edison and reported the problem. He said they'd be out that day. The last thing he told me was: make sure the Edison guy goes up on the pole and checks the connections. They'll try to tell you it's not necessary.
The Edison guy was there 90 minutes later. He hooked up a machine to my (nearly new) electrical panel and tested it. He said if there was a problem on the pole the machine would show it. Everything checked out ok. I told him the electrician said to go up the pole so he could eliminate that as a cause of the problem. He didn't want to, but he finally agreed. He changed the connections on the pole and on my roof.
That did it. No more flickering! Just imagine if I had gone with the first electrician. I might have eventually turned him loose tearing up the walls and even re-wiring the house. I've heard that a re-wire on a house this size is over $25,000.
Manny was at my house for less than 15 minutes and didn't even charge me. He said if Edison doesn't take care of it, call me. Manny was on time, personable and very knowledgeable. I am so grateful and give him the highest recommendation.

I was blown away by Seven Electric's responsiveness today. They were able to correctly identify a problem that others misdiagnosed and solve it quickly. Will absolutely be coming back for any other electrical issues we have!
Highly recommended! Manny sent over a duo to install four new light fixtures and switches at a reasonable price. Both of the guys were professional and courteous, even taking the time to patch up some holes left over from some previous installations. The work was clean and thorough, couldn't be more satisfied.

I called Manny and he walked me through troubleshooting on the phone. Five minutes later my problem was solved at no cost. What a guy !
We returned home to find the power had gone out to our refrigerator and a nearby outlet. Since we didn't want the food to spoil we needed someone on the same day. After checking on Yelp and calling a few electricians who couldn't help us I tried Manny (mainly because his hours are 24/7). Manny answered my call and right then he told me to try something myself that actually worked while he stayed on the phone with me!! I was so relieved and appreciative of his willingness to help. He must have a great deal of integrity because he didn't make any money from this first time client and if he had not been a person of good character he could have easily come to our house and charged us for fixing it. He will be our go-to electrician from now on. Please consider calling Manny when you need electrical assistance. We certainly will!
Manny and his team are professional, fast, efficient, fair and produce quality workmanship. Manny replaced three chattering GFI outlets on two separate jobs. When I called Manny to schedule the service call appointments, he was very courteous, provided service dates that accommodated my work schedule and explained the cause of chattering GFI outlets. Manny also took the time to explain that the risk of fire as a result of the chatter was remote, which provided the assurance my family needed.

Really smooth process. After sending in a request for quote via Yelp, I received a quick and straight forward reply with immediate availability. They have a much more reasonable service call fee than most others out there. We locked in the time a day in advance. We had been having a problem with our lights flickering. I smelled smoke coming from the breaker box and also kept hearing a crackle coming from inside. I knew something was wrong. I must have called 20 electricians in the area and none could make it for days. So I came across this company. Very nice owner Manny Diaz. He told they would be out in 2 hours. They were prompt and friendly and realized the problem was the sub panel. He showed me the burnt out switches. So 2 of his team members returned with the replacement.They were on time and eager to help out.Manny was kind enough to give me a big senior discount. I was so happy! It means a lot when you get a break. To know there are honest people still in this world was even better. I had never had anything like this happen before and was fearful of a fire. Manny was a lifesaver and so nice! I accidentally spilled coffee onto my APC battery pack power strip thing and it apparently blew out all the outlets in its vicinity. I tried flipping circuit breakers and hitting random reset buttons to no avail. A quick call to Manny and he had the easy solution for me (hit the reset buttons on all the outlets close to the blown area - even outlets outside). And it worked! Even though it saved me money by not needing him to come out, he was so willing patient and kind. I'd recommend Seven Electric in a pinch!

We had some outlet problem and found Seven Electric on Yelp. It was a Saturday but Manny is so nice and accommodating that he came right away after our call and fixed the problem right. After my husband did his best in doing his own wiring in a quick project we realized he was a little out of his depth and we needed professional help. Had a very good experience with Manny and his team. I had a quick call with him and then he came over the following day to asses the list of things needed. He later on gave me a time frame and quote and the job was completed exactly add how he told me out would happen. They did a great job of cleaning up and they even gave me some pointers if I wanted to adjust any of the lighting configurations they had set-up. I would definitely have them back again and recommend them to others.

Manny is excellent and very helpful. I loved the work they did in my bathroom installing a shower light and separating my main light from the bathroom fan. I called them back and Manny came over the same day to help me install a light that I was having trouble with. Very responsive and helpful overall. I will continue to use them!

Manny and his team are fantastic. They helped repair some of the mess that the contractor and his crew left. They were honest and fair and got the job done right.
I found Seven Electric on Yelp. I called during my lunch break and Manny the owner said they could be at my place with two hours. Unfortunately I was at work so we scheduled for the next day at five pm. I contacted him shortly thereafter and asked for six as I now had a meeting. He quickly responded back and said we'd check in the next day about six. I contacted him via email before that and said 5 pm was fine. Well it's now 6:11 pm and no one has shown up. Manny is unresponsive by text, email or phone (even though the message says they're open). I will now have to find a new company for yet another day and am left with no power in my garage, bathrooms and assorted electrical outlets. This is a complete fail. There's no excuse he can give to make this ok. Updated to add that Manny texted me two hours later and gave me a song and dance that we never confirmed the appointment. Then he said I'd have to call at 2 tomorrow to see if they could even come out at 4. I teach and can't just pick up a phone at 2 pm. If they can't do afternoon appointments they shouldn't schedule them. What a ridiculous way to do business. Emails prove otherwise that this was never confirmed. He's lying, but ok. The response only came after I said I was posting on Yelp.
Yesterday, I was left stranded by my contractor with no power in my son's bedroom and part of my living room. They were using the outlet in the living room for their power saw to cut some wood when the power blew out. They left the job without a word about it and I had to wait until the next morning to follow up with them. I was a bit stunned that they left me hanging.
Anyhow, my contractor said he wouldn't be available until next Tuesday, which was unacceptable since we rely on using our AC unit for my son so he can sleep comfortably through this summer heat. I then read some reviews on Yelp and felt very confident after speaking to Manny, the owner, that he could get the power up asap. He also tried helping me reset the breaker by phone to save me from paying him. When we met, he was very polite, charismatic, and highly knowledgeable. I got all that just within 10 minutes of chatting to him too.
In all, they did an excellent and honest job and out in less than an hour. My son is finally catching up on his sleep this afternoon, since he slept horrible in the heat last night.

Manny and his team were amazing for us. They hooked up a 240 volt charger for our Tesla and they installed over 50 feet of electrical wires hooking up a Jacuzzi. I had two chandeliers installed by Manny's electricians. Manny was quick to respond to my first inquiry, easy to communicate with by phone and texting throughout the process, and provided timely schedule. Very upset!!
I love yelp and I should have not used this company. Manny Diaz came out to my location and fixed the problem that we had. He had to order the part and said he would call. He never called when he said he would I had to call several times to find the status of the part. He said it would only take 2 days to get the part well that was a lie it took over a week. Then i had him come back again to fix something else giving him the benefit of the doubt. He forgot he had an appointment never showed. Then he finally came out and did not finished the job when he said he would, and he left never came back. Never received a call!!!! So the job has been left incomplete!!!!! Very disappointed! Don't use this company

It is so hard to find someone to work a small job these days, but I had small job and needed it worked. Manny and his crew from Seven Electric answered my request for service minutes after I had called them. They showed up when they said they would and they did the work they said they would do. Not only did they do the work, but they were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional. When I needed them to come back for a minor tweak, they were at my house within a day and when they said they would be here so that I didn't have to wait weeks on end or have to keep calling them to get them to come back. I found Seven Electric on Yelp and called and spoke to Manny. He was finishing up a job and told me he would call me in a hour. He called as promised and we discussed my problem. He came to my home shortly thereafter. He and his associate discovered the problem, and literly fixed it within minutes. I couldn't have been happier. I strongly recommend Seven Electric and Manny. He is an honest professional in my view. Thank you Manny.
Manny arrived with an hour of our call advising Seven Electric our smoke detectors had been activated so we shut the main breaker off, and when we turned it back on the power was on for a minute and then went off and would not go on again. We thought we had a major problem. Manny diagnosed the issue as freak timing as SCE had a power outage in our area that started the same time we were turning the breaker back on. He called SCE and verified that was the issue. They did;t charge us a cent despite coming to our home and inspecting the breaker panel. No charge. I couldn't believe it. This company so fair I couldn't recommend them more highly.
We hired Manny to install 16 recessed lights, 2 ceiling fans, relocate 2 switches, and add 3 new switches. The quote he gave us wasn't the cheapest we were willing to pay a bit more as he is licensed. When it came time to do the work, he subcontracted the work out to an electrician and an assistant out of Hollywood.
This pair he subcontracted out to eventually got the job done, but not without a lot of headache. Their mistakes include:
1. running the wiring *over* the studs instead of through them (they didn't even notch the studs as some lazy electricians would do)
2. not installing metal protection plates over the spots where wire went through the studs
3. running lower gauge wiring than the breaker for the circuit required
4. not installing the proper boxes for the ceiling fans
Each one of these mistakes would have caused the installation to fail inspection, but the combination of all 4 issues actually made our inspector laugh. He said that in his 20+ years of inspecting houses for the city, he's never seen an installation that bad. Our inspector even took pictures to show around the office, and no one had ever seen anything like it.
After talking with Manny, he sent the same pair out. After another day of work, they managed to get everything fixed, and the city inspector passed the updated install.
After everything was said and done, we had to spend additional $600 for people to come patch our ceiling, and the renovation was 2 weeks behind. Manny said that he felt bad that we ran into issues with his crew, and offered a $200 discount. We said great, he said he would be by on a certain day, but texted that day and said that he couldn't make it. He then tried to come again, but wasn't able to make it a second time. Then he said that he'd mail us a check. Time passed, no check. Then he said he was on vacation and would send a check when he got home. No check. He offered to send a check again, but obviously no check.
All in all, the work eventually got done. The install wasn't as smooth as what I had expected from a licensed professional, but then again, I'm not sure the crew out of Hollywood was licensed. Then Manny promised a $200 refund no less than 5 times, but never delivered.
Exceptional service from start to finish. Received a very competitive price quote, quick appointment, and entire job was completed in one day. Very happy, and would strongly recommend.

Manny and his crew did a great job with putting smoke alarms . I really appreciate their great attitude and professionalism . I am so blessed to have hired them . I will definitely use them again. They have been a great blessing .
We had faulty smoke detectors that were going off at all hours. Since they are hardwired, when one goes off, the whole house goes off! After a sleepless night I called Manny at 6am. By late morning he was in my house with his assistant, taking care of the issue. It's been a few weeks and I haven't heard a single annoying false alarm beep. Thank you Manny for making a good night's rest possible again! I also want to add that Manny and his assistant were completely professional and easy to work with. I will definitely be calling Manny again.
Who the hell puts a smoke detector on a stairwell ceiling that's 15 feet tall? The jerk who built my condo.

One began chirping a few days ago. If I was a squirrel I coulda got at it. Another one started today. It's a conspiracy, I tell you. And they always chirp at 3am.
My (former) handyman replaced them recently. I figured this time around I'm calling an electrician to get it done right.

I knew this was not gonna be cheap, but the alternative was to check in to a hotel indefinitely.

Uncle Eddie (as he is affectionately referred to at Seven Electric) was at my house for about 3 hours. He replaced the hard-wired smoke alarms & a corroded GFCI outlet. To get to the smoke alarm that was 15 feet up, he had to work around stairs & a chandelier, with a slate floor below.
I held my breath.
In a past life, Uncle Eddie was indeed a squirrel, cuz he handled it beautifully.

I went to Radio Shack to get long-life batteries & Uncle Eddie went back to his truck, hauled the big ladder back in, and went up a second time without a hint of complaint.
When the whole job was finally done and Uncle Eddie was leaving with all his ladders and other equipment, I said (in Russian): thank you, goodbye.

Had Manny and his crew over during our remodel to do recessed lighting in our living room and master bedroom. They also moved a ceiling fan and added a light to our kitchen island and changed out a bunch of switches. Very professional! Manny was there supervising and getting dirty everyday to make sure everything was done right the first time.
Can't say enough great things about these guys. I already gave out his card to a couple of neighbors and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I only wish I had them when I built out my office a couple of years ago, man those electricians were a disaster!
Basically, they are very professional, skilled, do high quality work at very reasonable prices. What more can you ask for?

Seven Electric is awesome!! Manny, the owner, is great. My grounded dryer outlet literally melted (a mini fire!) and Manny came out on a Sunday night to do a safety check and look at the problem. Fortunately, I turned off all the breakers and everything was safe for them to fix early the next morning.
Seven Electric came right back early the next morning to fix my electrical outlet. The water from my washing machine had been dripping on the outlet below. They rewired everything and relocated my electrical outlet to a safer location.
The owner is personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I can't recommend this company enough!!
I am very happy that I saw the reviews on Yelp and Angie's List to help me decide to call Seven Electric and got Manny Diaz and his crew to come to my rescue. Manny came and told me of a much better way to do the work that I needed and it saved me a lot of money and prevented me from having a big headache that I would have had, if I had done it the other way. I am very pleased with the work and the price of the work that was done. I have already told several people to call Seven Electric if they ever need a good electrician and I will definitely use them again if I ever need anymore work done.
I am an attorney who lives in Manhattan beach, so it is safe to say that I negotiate the hell out of everything and have really high standards on work product, as that I is what I provide my clients. Manny came out and bid my job! He and was respectable, easy to deal with and fair. The next day the crew was out and did wonderful job. I don't really get the negative reviews on here about this crew. If you want it done right, by someone with a license, that knows electrical inside out call Manny and his guys. Or you can go with something cheaper, without a license or insurance if one of the guys falls at your house. That could work for you, perhaps.
It's nice to know there are still tradesmen you can count on!

Manny is fantastic! And (shoot I cant remember the guy who came with him) is a perfectionist. They did more work than they originally quoted and came out the same day I called. The people who had remodeled my apt. had wired it badly and they found wires that had burned and could have set my place on fire. They did minimally invasive work, cleaned up after themselves, and were really pleasant to be around.
If you are reading this, know that he actually has a lot more positive reviews. For some reason Yelp doesnt always show them all at once. (?) I HIGHLY recoommend!!

Had Manny and Ramon come out for a little job, turned out to be a dimmer switch replacement for the upstairs bathroom. Didn't seem like much, but my mother-in-law is coming next week for Thanksgiving, and that would be enough to start the argument. So 10 minutes later (and a new outlet for the kitchen) and I was back in business. Thanksgiving now has a chance to succeed, although I'm sure she will find something else wrong. Quick and efficient, they solved the problem, and are very personable to boot. I wish I had a bigger job for them, because it sounds like they do everything. Manny and his crew helped us with changing 16 led light bulbs that were installed in 16 foot high ceiling. Six of them were bulbs with twist plugs and transformers. The other ten flood lights were located in impossible to reach areas. The guys were fearless and creative with the ladder. In addition to the bulbs there were multiple problems and they were able to fix all of them.
They also installed a new doorbell and repaired a broken outdoor light.
We highly recommend Seven Electric.

Manny was completely professional and thorough. I highly recommend him. He tried to make it out the first day I called but couldn't, however, he was there first thing in the morning. He kept in contact with me by text and phone call when he couldn't make it which left me free to go about my day rather than waiting and wondering. His pricing was more than fair.
After lots of searching and phone calls to some of the highest rated electricians on Yelp, only Seven Electric was fast to respond and willing to help me with my home's electrical breaker panel that came dismounted from the house's exterior wall. Manny actually answered the phone when I called (unlike some other highly rated companies who just let it go to voicemail), and followed up immediately with a text after I text him photos of the issue. I knew the price, which was very fair, and when the electricians arrived and found an additional issue that needed to be addressed Manny text me with the additional cost, which I also found to be reasonable. The electricians were courteous and explained what needed to be done. Their work was very neat, and they secured the electrical panel and conduit very well. I would definitely recommend Seven Electric because they do good work, show up on time, and are very reliable. I am planning a large renovation and rewiring of my house and will very likely be using Seven Electric!
Manny is super friendly and very accommodating! He was able to come over shortly after I called and took care of the blown fuse and sensor light switches that had malfunctioned. I had a few questions about other electrical issues around the house and Manny was happy to walk around with me answering all the questions I had. I will definitely be calling Seven Electric again!
I am a designer and was installing a wine cellar for a client in Manhattan Beach when we realized the prep contractor did not add a critical electrical outlet required for the custom cove lighting inset within the racking. Seven Electric seriously overcharges for their work! I called Manny Diaz, the owner, because I had a power outage and couldn't reach the electrician I typically work with. Manny was nice enough to come over but he was going to overcharge me about $1000 (total $3500) for a new circuit breaker box. Thank goodness I had another electrician to call and take over. When I told Manny that he wasn't getting the job, Manny tried to pressure me by falsely claiming we had a deal. He then charged me an exorbitant amount for minimal work he had done. I later realized he took parts from my equipment that he should have left behind. I am grateful that Manny helped me get my power on but he was not the man for the job. Avoid at all costs!!!!
We had to have our entire electrical panel replaced and upgraded. Manny and his team were outstanding. There are professional, knowledgeable, honest, reliable, consistent, and have never let us down. I had to call on him at least 8 times prior to replacing our panel for various electrical problems, even on a Saturday, and each time, Manny has come through with accuracy and dependability. He even called the day after to make sure we weren't having any problems and if we had any questions. I really wouldn't use anyone else. They are great.
After enduring a 12 + hour Edison maintenance outrage my elderly parents discovered that there was zero power to multiple outlets throughout their home (even though the circuit breakers were on). I found Seven Electric on Yelp and called on a Saturday afternoon, expecting to leave a message. To my surprise, Manny immediately picked up, diagnosed the problem, and arrived at my parents home within 20 minutes! He was knowledgeable, meticulous, personable, and patient with my parents. My father was so impressed with Manny that he is in the process of setting up another apportionment to update and relocate the circuit breaker box. Phenomenal follow through and customer service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended, superb experience!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are professional, prompt, courteous, honest, and very good at what they do. I had a problem with my circuit breaker and couldn't get anyone to come to my house, within a reasonable time. I called Manny and his team and they responded within two hours. Mind you, this was a small job, I'm sure they had several more important/profitable jobs to be at. THEY RESPONDED FAST, THEY FIXED MY ISSUE, AND THEY WERE HONEST. We couldn't be happier, I will always refer them to anyone looking for an electrician. I wish I could get this point across one more time... This is a great company and we were impressed with them. FAIL - Called these guys on a Friday and scheduled an appointment for the following Monday afternoon. Monday came and they did not show or call. Wednesday I called and they acted like they never heard of me or my appointment, but they did apologize and said they would be out on Thursday. I was also reassured as the guy I spoke to said he set a reminder in his iphone and after all we are brothers because I have an iphone too, right?! Well you know where this is going....Thursday and another no show and no call. They even asked where I heard about them (i.e., YELP) and they still treated me like this?! 7 might stand for their IQ.
If it was not for Manny's crew actually doing a decent job, the place would only get one star. The owner must have too many jobs in his hands because he was not attentive, didn't keep his appointments and we had to constantly chase him down to get the work done.

A few days before Christmas we woke to no hot water. I called several electricians and all were booked for several days. Manny at Seven Electric responded immediately and was able to direct me to fix the situation without his even having to come out, which impressed me so much. He's our new go-to electrician. So grateful for his kindness and his expertise!
I'm really impressed.
At first I thought I just had a bad circuit breaker. I asked him to replace it and he replaced it for me, charged me a very fair price.
Unfortunately, the problem wasn't a breaker, so my problem that had been coming and going came back. We did a little detective work, figured out there was a bad connection or a broken wire somewhere, but we couldn't find it. I called Manny again.
We had a little trouble coordinating our schedules, but when he arrived it was like magic. We told him what we knew, answered his questions, and he started poking around. In very little time he had found the problem, an exposed wire for a porch light that had been gone for many years. It just took him a few minutes to fix the problem.
Meanwhile, as he was figuring out what our problem was, his helper was busy working on the breaker panel. He tightened wires, cleaned things up, and found a few problems that he quietly fixed. We hadn't asked for that but we were sure glad to have it done.
And to top it all off, he asked for a very reasonable price. I paid it gladly and asked for a handful of his cards. One for me and a few to give to friends.
Next time I have an electrical problem (not soon, I hope) I'll definitely call Manny.
I'll be calling Seven Electric the next time I need an electrician. Called in the morning for an estimate and Manny was able to come out that afternoon. He and his colleague completed my to-do list of six items including installing a ceiling fan, fixing some switches and outlets and installing a GFCI outlet for my jacuzzi tub. All that was completed within 2 hours and for a fair price. Manny was conscientious and handled my furniture with care and had an overall friendly attitude. Thanks, Manny.

I called up Seven Electric due to an electrical problem and they were out at my house within an hour on the weekend!
I thought I had a problem with a breaker not resetting but Manny did some troubleshooting and found the real problem. Glad I found a stand up guy and could get the problem fixed at a very reasonable price. Manny was great! I would recommend him to anyone that has an electrical problem small or big.
Manny is an excellent electrician. Had to have him work on a couple things mere days apart. First, he replaced a broken circuit breaker ($245) then, days later, installed a new outlet, removed some unnecessary wiring and replaced a burnt out outlet for a discounted frequent customer price. Good guy and highly recommended. Will be requesting his services for any future electrical issues.

They came within the hour and fixed the the problem effectively and efficiently! The service was friendly and the receipt was emailed on the spot, complete with recommendations to prevent further problems in the future. Even offered to refund the money paid if further work was required/wanted. Extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all my silly questions with patience and detail.
I apologize to Manny and his team for not writing this sooner as I called them last week to deal with a circuit issue and they were excellent. They came out the same day that I called, and right when they said they would, which I very much appreciated. They fixed the problem immediately in a friendly and efficient manner. Manny, the owner, was extremely prompt, professional, knowledgable and personable. His prices were very reasonable compared to all other electrical services around the South Bay area. He installed two 50Amp electrical outlets for our new electric cars and explained things very clearly. Most people after they are done with the work and collect their fees, they don't ever want to speak with you again. However, Manny extended his services and encouraged you to call if there are any further issues. We are extremely pleased and highly recommend his services. Thank you Manny!

For some reason 4 or 5 of the outlets in my garage turned off. Called Seven Electric because our usual electrician we found through Angie's list didn't respond to our emails. Eric showed up on Saturday morning on time and quickly found the problem and gave us a free estimate. I checked online and the pricing was very fair, so decided to go with them. He even changed one of the breakers that was for the garage free of charge. Yelp reviews aren't always accurate, but this one was right on. I'm going with them from now on.

Manny is the man! Came in quickly and fixed a short we had in our house. We couldn't figure out why the fuse kept flipping. He stopped by and in just under hour he identified the problem and fixed it.
Great service. Great attention to detail. Great price.
I will go to him again for any future needs.

I moved into a new house and needed several things done - grounding old outlets, installing new outlets, upgrading the panel, rewiring a room that wasn't up to code, and installing some lights. Manny gave the most reasonable and honest quote of 3 different electricians. The work he did was quality, and he was terrific at communication throughout the process. The upgraded panel was especially great because he went above and beyond to label and organize it in a way that was crystal clear to me and my wife. I would definitely use him again!

I'm a landscape designer affiliated with national design magazines, so my standards are high and demanding. Seven Electric meets all of my requirements and then some! The team is soft spoken and never commits the mistake of giving the client the hard sale. They deliver on their promise and quickly become a part of your team. I recommend them for both interior and exterior jobs.
Very pleased with the service I got, especially on a Saturday. Manny was very good about explaining the options and taking time to answer all my questions. I've worked with numerous contractors over the last decade, and Manny is definitely top-notch. For those who want more detail ... I've had an intermittent flickering power issue that turned into an intermittent power outage for half of the house this morning. I gave Manny as much details as possible. After testing a few on/ff combinations of appliances and lights, and again answering all my questions, we arrived at the most likely issue. Even is this is a compound problem that requires additional work, I'm confident that I made a very well-informed decision.
I called Seven Electric late on a Saturday afternoon and within an hour Manny and his helper were at my house fixing what turned out to be a much more complicated wiring issue than anyone imagined. When everything was said and done, Manny had not only fixed a problem that had been plaguing me for many, many years, but he also rewired a switch and fixture that could have potentially caused a fire down the line. Needless to say, I won't be calling anyone other than Manny and his team to fix any future electrical issues I might run into.

This guy - Manny - is AMAZING! Half of the power in my house went out at about 3:00 AM (woke-up to smoke alarms chirping), and I suspected it was my panel that went out - since it was only about half of my house and not the whole house. I tried flipping all the breaker switches with no luck. It being the wee hours of Saturday morning, I thought I ought to call Manny at Seven Electric and leave a voicemail, so that I would be one of their first calls when they got in in the morning. To my utter shock, I got a call FIVE minutes later - mind you, this was about 3:45 AM, and it was Manny returning my call asking, what was my problem?. After describing the problem, he said it sounded like it might be an issue out on the pole with Edison - said in the morning to check and see if my next door neighbors were having the same issue - if so, then it was most likely an Edison problem - and if not, it could be my panel. He then said, if it wasn't Edison, then call him back and he could be out by 8:30AM! WHOA!! - that's service!!! Turns out, it was an Edison problem - but if it wasn't, Manny was ready to be here first thing in the morning! The guy called me back at 3:45am!! Manny and Seven Electric are the best! I highly recommend them!!!
Manny was fantastic! We found Seven Electric and Manny through Yelp and we called him with a power issue we were having at our house. Part of the house would have power go out but only at the power outlets and not the ceiling lights. It was not an issue with the breaker box which was the first thing we checked. We called Manny and he came out the same day. But when he got there the power had returned and we could not recreate the issue. He checked a few things but just said to call him the moment the power went out again. A week later it went out again, we called him and he was back at the house an hour later. Luckily the power was still out and Manny went to work trying to figure out the problem. Within an hour, testing everything he could think of, he figured out the problem. And in my opinion the solution shows just how good Manny is at what he does. The problem was a working power outlet. I would recommend Manny to anyone. He was responsive, prompt, courteous, and extremely knowledgable. And he was very fair about his pricing. I hope I don't need to hire Manny again but if I have any electrical issues Manny will be my first choice.
Manny's come out on short notice in emergencies for us on two occasions and has done fine work both times. Thorough and excellent work both times. We'll definitely call him again, although we hope it's not for another emergency next time....

Manny delivered as the prior Yelp reviews promised- he was available, showed up on time, assessed the issue, determined a solution. The next day it was solved. I would definitely hire Manny and Seven Electric again to resolve any future electrical needs.
oh man..... yelpers... you guys let me down. All this talk about reasonable price sure was misleading. I called them just for that. It was anything but reasonable. You got me Seven Electric. Fine. But know this.....you have lost a customer for life. And I have lots of projects that needs to be done.
I hired Manny and his crew to install recessed lights throughout my house and move some exterior wires underground. I initially hired him because of the reviews on YELP and because of his super friendly demeanor when he came over to do the estimate. This was a simple and small job that according to Manny, would take 3 days max. Come one month later, and the job was still not complete. On the 2nd day they were supposed to work, Manny called and asked me if he could move his guys to work another job because of a scheduling miscommunication between him and another client. I acquiesced, assuming the job was only a 3 day job and was flexible to add another day. His guys left my house and were supposed to return several hours later. Lo and behold, no one returned and no one called me to inform me that no one was returning. The next day, Tuesday, again, no one returned and there was no communication. His guys worked Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (here we are at 5 days already) and were supposed to finish the job on Saturday. Lo and behold, Saturday comes and guess what! No one returns and no calls are made to update me. I called Manny at least 10 times on Saturday starting in the morning and got no response until Saturday afternoon, wherein Manny called me and said that he was away for the weekend celebrating his anniversary, that his guys would come on Monday and that he didn't want to discuss it further with me because he was on his anniversary weekend. This continued for another week. They installed the lights and had to return to place the decorative rims, which, guess what, took another month to complete. Seriously, do not be fooled by his friendly introduction and Hey buddy! This very simple job turned out to be an absolute nightmare. Manny and his crew are disorganized, unprofessional and promise you whatever you want to hear simply to book the job. Looks like other people have had a similar experience with Manny, so this is clearly a pattern with this company. Again, beware- there are TONS of other electricians out there who are professional and do good work. Don't risk your time and money on Seven Electric!

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star! After making an appointment for an estimate with Manny, not only didn't he show up, but never called. On our second attempt, after telling him he didn't show up for previous appointment, he didn't seem to care or acknowledge that he left us hanging,we made another appointment and he AGAIN didn't bother to show up or call. This is inexcusable behavior for a professional! He won't get another chance and we'll tell everyone we know not to patronize this business.

I HIGHLY recommend Manny and Ramon!!! We had a ceiling fan installed and they took the extra time to not have to make extra holes to run new electrical wiring. They do professional, clean work. It's refreshing to find a contractor who's highly dependable as well. This is the second job they did for us and will certainly bring them back for more projects.
I read one review on them -- that's all there was -- but it was so positive that I called them to repair a bad light switch and to replace a front door light that had died. They came out the same afternoon and did both jobs in about a half-hour. They knew exactly what was wrong and went right after it. That's exactly what you want in an electrician, isn't it?

Called them at 2:00 and they were here by 4:00 the same day. Professional job and reasonably priced. I recommend them and will be using them in the future.
A neighbor recommended this electrician to me when I needed some work done in the den and kitchen. I had them add some more recessed lighting to match what I already had and they removed a ceiling fan and an old outdated kitchen light fixture. Also recommended different types of bulbs to give the best lighting for each area. They came very quickly after I called (within 1 day to give a quote) and they came back to do the work within 2 days. They finished the job in one afternoon and were very reasonable given the amount of work to be done. Manny was very easy to work with and I will definitely use Seven again and recommend them to my friends and family.
Came out right away on a Sunday. Diagnosed and resolved the problem in a matter of minutes. Very professional!
We called Seven Electric to get a quote on a motion sensor light and we set up an appointment the next day. They were able to match our lowest quote and do the job the same morning! Manny, the owner, was great and very informative. He was very professional and told us that if we had any problems with the light he would come out and fix it no charge. So far, no problems!

I am the treasurer of the housing board of a fraternity house in Westwood. Our fraternity house, built in 1931, was in need of a major electrical upgrade.
We needed a new electric panel, which would double our electrical capacity. We also wanted to replace several old subpanels as well as to install new outlets in all bedrooms. Lastly, we also wanted to install hard-wired smoke alarms throughout the building.
The first item to note is that only 1 electrician, Seven Electric's Manny Diaz, advised us that we would require a meter spot from the LADWP before an accurate estimate for the cost of the upgrade could be provided. Manny capably served as our liaison with the LADWP and the LA Department of Building & Safety, and Manny gave us a proposal once the meter spot had been approved by the LADWP. Ultimately, Manny did the proposed work for the amount quoted to us, and the work was done quickly, in the time promised. What more could you want? Manny and Seven Electric performed the agreed-upon work to our housing board's satisfaction, for the promised price, and in the time promised.
Acting on behalf of the housing board of our fraternity house, I strongly recommend Manny Diaz and Seven Electric.

After hiring two other electricians who each failed me in their own unique ways, Seven really came through with fast, reasonably priced service on the same day I called. I plan to continue using them for my electrical needs.
Manny was great! He was very courteous and very thorough with his explanations. What we thought was going to be a simple replacement of our ballast, turned out to be a bigger job, and Manny gave us a better deal than any electrician we contacted. We called Seven Electric today because of an electrical issue in our vacation rental in Manhattan Beach. Our electrical panel at the rental is old and my husband (who is handy) has never been able to find replacement parts. So, we tried Seven Electric. Luckily, Seven Electric knows about the old panels in Manhattan Beach and keeps extras parts with them. Everything is fixed with in hours and our tenant is happy. Thank you Seven Electric!

I had Manny put some dedicated outlets in my home, which was originally wired in a strange and illogical manner. Manny came out and helped me think through the best solution to my problems and he gave me a competitive estimate. He also helped me talk through different alternatives in several follow up conversations. He always took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. I acquired several additional estimates as well but I ultimately decided to go with Manny because I felt confident about the job he would do. Manny and his team showed up on time, worked hard, and were very mindful of leaving the house as they found it. Manny also went so far as to look through other areas of the house's wiring and make a few small tweaks to clean things up. I would recommend Manny to anyone. He's an honest and knowledgeable electrician.

Easy scheduling, free estimate, showed during the time window. Quickly diagnosed and explained the issue. Manny even called the electric company for me and got a tech to come out and fix the issue quickly. I'm happy to use them again!
We used Seven Electric, for the first time last weekend. I highly recommend them and, in particular, the electrician Art who came and helped us. Art was very friendly and polite. He clearly explained all the cost-benefit solutions to the electrical problem we were having, helping us make an informed choice. When he needed to order parts to fix our problem that day, he still took the time to equip us with a temporary solution so we wouldn't be without power and came back on-time the next day to finish the job.

These guys are great. They gave us a decent quote for some electrical work and even included some extra stuff without raising their quote. Very reasonable. We will use them again without hesitation.
Upgraded my panel, installed an outside light + outlet, and grounded outlets - these guys do it all. Always happy with the professionalism and quality of their work. Highly recommended for a great electrician you can trust.
