The three most important people you need in life are a good hairstylist, a good therapist and a great electrician.

Sean and his team have been my go-to for my electrical and lighting needs.

I live in a small home built in 1925 and worried about the limitations I would have swapping out some1990s Home Depot looking ceiling fans. None of it was a problem and he even suggested adding a dimmer- which never crossed my mind.
I was so pleased he could see beyond even what I envisioned.

Sean and his crew are more than electrical experts. They understand design and have an eye for aesthetics. Sean isn't afraid to consult you on decisions to make sure its the best solution.

You can tell Sean and his team actually enjoy being of service and making customers happy- which is rare these days.

The price is more than fair, the service is excellent and the possibilities are endless.

You'll wonder why you didn't hire him sooner (maybe I'm just projecting).

We have used Optimum multiple times and they have always been prompt and provided excellent service at a very competitive price. They replaced our faulty electrical panel during a rainstorm and also recently installed a new EV plug with a run that goes under the house. I requested a bathroom ceiling fan quote from several places and this was the only place that didn't charge for a walkthrough in order to quote. I took them up on their offer. They explained everything up front and the installation was pretty quick. Great responsiveness on Yelp. The only thing I'd wish happened is that they would have cleaned up afterward to the state it was beforehand. They asked me for my cleaning equipment and then only partially cleaned the dirt leftover from cutting a hole in the ceiling. They swept the floor, but still left dirt on my bathroom sink and counter. I had to spend the next 10 minutes to clean the dirt off the toilet, bathroom sink and finish cleaning the floor. There was even dirt in my bathtub. But everything else was great! I would use them again.

Vaheh provided exemplary service throughout the whole process. He was very personable, reachable, and accommodating for all issues that arose with installing my electric vehicle charger. I'm very picky with any work that is done around the house, and Optimum Elecrrical surpassed my expectations, with the clean work that was performed. He even assisted me in pulling a permit for the work that he did. I am more than happy with his service and will be saving his number for my future electrical needs. I highly recommend his service. Seriously, don't even bother calling anyone else.

The Optimum Electrical team members, including the owner, arrived on site just before the expected arrival time, which was great for me. The team displayed excellent customer service by first listening to my electrical inquiry, reviewing and analyzing the situation, identifying the fix, and providing me a cost for service and recommendations. I was also impressed by the quick fix in replacing broken and old breakers that caused my lack of power within certain wall outlets. Excellent clean job performed, respectful to my electrical needs, on time to the job site, and provided a detailed explanation of the electrical issue and resolution.

Half the of outlets in my condo unit were not working after the hard rain here in LA. I called a few places to see if I could have someone come out and troubleshoot the issue ASAP. They were able to come the next day (sooner than the other 4 places I called) and they provide FREE estimates. Once they arrived, they were friendly and took time explaining the issue and provided a quote. I looked at the quote and said yes to the immediate repair. They were so patient with all my questions and took the time to ensure I felt comfortable with the work being performed. I would not hesitate to call them again in the future based on the service I received. Hopefully I won't need to!

As a trained architect, I have worked with a variance of contractors. For our new home in LA, we needed someone who's experienced, efficient, professional and trustworthy. Vaheh and team did not disappoint. His walkthrough was thorough and provided suggestions as needed.

It was an all-around awesome experience with Optimum. I initially reached out on Yelp Message, and Sean was quick to respond and schedule an initial visit for an estimate. I actually screwed up and missed that visit, and he was exceedingly understanding and came back. It was clear when I met him that he was reliable, knowledgeable, and just a great human.

A couple weeks after the estimate, he came back to complete the job. He and David worked thoughtfully and efficiently replacing 50+ can lights and fixing issues with my panel. Even when he ran into an obstacle or two, he navigated through with patience and expertise.

Will certainly be using Sean and Optimum again!

Im disappointed. :-/

They are ghosting me instead of honoring their one year work guarantee. Two of the repairs they made stopped working. In July and work was done in September almost October. (Around this time). They replied to me once via text and a phone call but never bothered to come out or reschedule with me. I shouldn't have to chase people down to honor their word. Refund me for the two switches that stopped working if you dont want to come by to fix it. I even wanted to give you more work when I contacted you earlier today and last night.

I don't recommend this business anymore. Overpriced and doesn't honor their word.

I was looking for quotes to install a level 2 ev charger. Had to wait a week because there were no availability till March 4th, which I had no issues with and was told that he was available at 9 am on March 4th. The appointment time comes and I hear nothing from the electrician. Waited 15 mins after the appointment time and messaged him asking him if he is still coming. Absolutely no response. Called the number listed on Yelp and was sent to voicemail and I left a message and after an hour, I still did not get a response whatsoever. He did not even give me a range of time like other electricians did and did not communicate with me that he would be late or the appointment was cancelled. Absolutely zero communication but what made it worse was that I waited a week and wasted my time. Do not recommend. Other electricians listed on yelp were either on time, early or at least communicated with me and not leave me on read.

We have a couple Tesla Vehicles and needed to install the EV Charger so that when charging our cars it would charge fast and we would be able to use them more. I needed some electrical wiring redone and run through the attic into the garage so that we can charge comfortably. Optimum Electric was great. They came and took a look at exactly what needs to done. Vaheh was very informative and explained exactly what needs to be done. The price was very fair compared to other prices I got. I told them let's get it done when can we get started so they scheduled me for a few days later. They came at scheduled time and got everything done within that day. I found my go to electrician.

I had some electrical issues throughout my apartment. I called the Optimum Electrical office, and his front office manager answered my questions and got me a consultation appointment.

Sean arrived on time and as scheduled. He gave a good consultation, he found a potential fire hazard in my electrical, asked questions about my preferences and was very polite by wearing a mask the entire visit.

He came back and did all the work in my small place in one day, which included replacing my kitchen ceiling lamps to LED. The whole team was wearing a mask for my safety.

The cost was a little bit over some others, but you pay for great service. Here's why it's worth it....

Two weeks later, Sean came back to my place, at my request, to look at some of the work. He came on time, reviewed the work, made some small adjustments to make things perfect. At that time, he also answered all of my questions, including electrical for my TV and other services I might need in the future.

The work is guaranteed for a year.

Sean and David arrived on time, in masks. They were well mannered, good humored, and professional. I needed a plug changed from 220 to 110 for a new dishwasher. Why four stars and not five: Vaheh, the owner had told me via Yelp conversation that he couldn't give me an estimate until they could see the job. I asked 2-3 times for an estimate but he ignored the request until he told me he couldn't. I had nothing to go by except for the electrician I had in 3 yrs ago who changed a 220 to a 110 plug for an AC.

Sean and David had the plug changed in ten to fifteen minutes and they charged double what I was anticipating. I didn't balk because I needed it done, the tenants had been waiting two months for their new dishwasher. Over all, the electricians were first rate in every way and I look forward to doing business with them in the future. I would not hesitate to recommend them. Next time I would push for an estimate ahead of time so I could compare pricing though.

I work in a Covid ICU managing ventilators under extreme stress and it will take me six hours of work with sweat rolling down my back and face to make what I had to pay them for fifteen minutes start to finish. Was it worth it? Well, my tenant is happy, the two gentlemen who did the work were great. Will I do it again without a ballpark figure? Probably not. Were they competitive with other companies? Probably, but I have no way of knowing. A+ for work ethic, manners, skill. B- for transparency about pricing on a straightforward job.

Response to the below reply:
The only quote I received was a written one once the men were in the house and had looked at the dishwasher. I did not get a quote ahead of time as is the point of using the Get A Quote feature of Yelp, to compare pricing. Of course they disconnected the old dishwasher, they had to in order to cap the 220 line and put in the new plug. That was requested in writing when I submitted the job for a quote. It still all took less than 15 min. I have no issue with the work, just with the refusal to make a quote ahead of time.

Exceptional job! I requested a quote later in the night and they responded quick. Came to my house the following day and noticed that my wires were completely burnt! They switched them out and installed new outlets. Their work was very efficient, fast, and clean. A little pricey, but if I were to have another problem with my electrical I would definitely call them again.

I called to ask for an electrician to phone me to discuss two concerns I have so that I could determine if they were the right electrician for me to hire. Their phone representative asked for my address so they could come over to provide a quote. I told her again that I first just needed a phone call with an electrician to go over my two concerns. She then went on to explain that there is only one electrician at this company and he probably wouldn't have time to call me.

I mean, REALLY? This place definitely won't be getting my hard-earned money.

I never write any reviews, but Sean, Mike and Optimum Electrical are the type of business that everyone hopes to find when scrolling through Yelp. I received a very fair and accurate estimate to replace one very delicate eight globe glass chandelier with another very delicate 8 globe ceramic chandelier. They were very easy to schedule with, confirmed our appointment, were on time, and Sean worked with us to find the perfect length for each individual fixture on the chandelier.

These guys are amazing. I don't know where to start. Made an appointment with them, Sean called confirmed the appointment with me 2 hours before arrival, arrived right on time...I mean RIGHT On TIME!!! Who does that these days??? They walked in, I explained the issues I was having as well as some additional things that needed to be done. By the way, he is a pet lover, My dog FELFEL was in love with him, he was so nice and gentle with him, I think he missed him more when he finished and left :(. Sean and his team, were so careful while working around my house, made sure that they covered most of the furnitures that mighe have got dust on them. After the job was done, they cleaned everything that had dust, or any dirt from drilling. It didnt even look like anyone had worked on the house. Sean and David went above and beyond! Not only did they arrive on time, and promptly complete the work of the survey, explaining every aspect of their work and what would be needed--they also helped me figure out a few light switches that had never worked, and were kind enough to take care of a
few other simple electrical problems around the house.

Prices also seem quite reasonable, and they don't offer to do work if they think it is outside their specialty. I have slightly textured ceilings, and they told me I'd need to hire someone else to replace the dry wall they have to remove, and at my request they recommended someone.

I would rate a 5-star + if it was available! I did something that I've never done before and that was to request a quote for services on Yelp. Vaheh A. responded to my request in 15 minutes. I thought I wouldn't hear anything for a day or two. I didn't get the response until I physically went to Yelp to check. The time stamp was 15 minutes as I said. I unfortunately, wasn't checking responses that quickly or this whole process would have been even faster. At any rate, an appointment was set for me quickly with a 2 hours window.

On the day of the appointment they showed up in the 1st 30mins of my window. They did an assessment of my job which apparently was an easy job for them to complete. I was given an estimate that I agreed to.

I just knew I would have to have another appointment for them to do the work. However, they informed me that they were going to get the supplies needed and would be right back and done in 30 minutes or less.

That is EXACTLY what occurred! I loved it! This is something you don't find often. Honesty, Professionalism and Integrity on top of great results. I am so happy that I searched for an Electrician on my own instead of waiting for friends to get back to me.

I will definitely contact them again for my next job!

Sean and his helper came out and installed our Ring doorbell and exterior camera system. Our experience with him was excellent.
Sean is knowledgeable, helps you make decisions, knows the Ring product and of course can do any home electrical work. We had Sean hardware our Ring system, we replaced old motion sensor floodlights with Ring Camera/floodlight/siren devices where the old floodlights.
We used our local electric repair company until we got fed up with their unjustified high rates. Sean is very reasonable. (We even offered him a tip over and above what he asked to be paid which he politely declined!)

Do not waste your time calling or hiring anyone else! You will save yourself a lot of time, money, and stress by hiring Opimum Electrical from the beginning. My power went out in my master bedroom during a repainting and minor upgrading project. First, we hired Express Electrical who came same day. They said 1 electrical outlet that was cause and their repair price was $350!!! I couldn't believe it, that's insane! Luckily, I know how to change an outlet so I repaired it myself for less than $5:) Frustratingly, that was not the problem. They also charged a $59 service fee for an incorrect diagnosis?? The technician didn't even properly check the breaker box after I saw how Optimum assessed it. Unfortunately, I still called a different company, Powell Electric was next. But they were not available for 5 days, and after I hired them I saw they only received only 1.5 stars. So I kept searching.

Finally I called Optimum Electrical where Anna answered the phone, and right from the beginning my stress began to lessen, she was efficient, empathetic and honest. So, naturally I cancelled appt with Powell, which was still days away. Optimum was able to schedule me next day and didn't even have a service fee. I was so eager for my 9am-10am appt, but was still so nervous of being ripped off or them another misdiagnosis. To my utter happiness, the owner Shawn and his associate arrived at 9am on the dot! And were so professional, COVID-19 cautious, and complete experts of their field! I couldn't believe, that within 20 minutes they found the problem with one of the breakers and it fixed immediately! Literally by 9:20am everything was repaired, paid for and I was smiling like a fool behind my face mask! Shawn is an unbelievable electrician, he is empathetic, thorough, organized, efficient and friendly...with great prices. He informed me his wife was Anna, the lady I made the appt with, which didn't surprise me because she was just as awesome as he was:) Absolutely love this company!

The guys at Optimum Electrical are great! They came out to install recessed lighting in my living room with smart switches and 2 electrical outlets I needed. They were quick, reasonably priced, very respectful of my home, and most of all I am happy with the results.

I also really appreciated that they will source all the needed products for you if you like. I'm a new homeowner and it was nice to have an expert who knew how many lights would look good, what size they should be, and what sort of switches would look the best while integrating with our Google Home.

In a pinch and DIY electrical isn't your thing? Call up Optimum. After buying a home a few years back, we've worked with more than a handful of various electricians for various jobs of various sizes. I probably wouldn't hesitate to rehire most of them, but I have a feeling I won't ever have to--I'd prefer to continue working with Optimum. This review is for the process of us getting a service quote from Optimum Electrical. Please note that we haven't done the installation.
We live in a MUD/condo, and so installing an EV charger takes more planning. Sean and his team showed up on time to do the site evaluation. They were super professional and thorough. We went to several different options and Sean was able to explain the pros and cons of each. They took the time and explained the best solution to us patiently because we know nothing about electrical. After the evaluation was done, Sean wrote up a very detailed work order so that we can talk to our HOA about the plan. I feel very confident that Sean is detailed and thorough with his work and that he is trust worthy. When I finally decide to install the charger, I will be sure to give my business to Sean.

These guys are the best. The power went out in half of our house and being that both me and my wife are working from home during covid 19, we were extremely worried about finding a good electrician. Sean and his crew are AMAZING! They showed up on time, explained in detail what needed to be done and how long it would take, First and foremost, they covered the areas they were going to do drilling and wireing. While driling, they covered it with plastic sheets for minimal dust. Once complete in record time, they did all the cleaning, which was so minimum since they had taken the time to cover everything before they started the job.. The crew was very friendly and efficient. I would ABSOLUTELY recomend andhire these guys again with out a doubt.

I had a great experience with Optimum Electrical. I needed some outlets added, some non-working outlets fixed and a new line in my garage and a new line installed out onto the back of my property for an electrical gate and a few other things.

I called Wednesday for an estimate and was scheduled Friday for an appointment. They started work that Monday. What I thought would be a nightmare job for an electrician turned out to be a breeze for this company. Not only did they do all the work in a timely matter they exceeded my expectations. I'm old school when it comes to customer service, especially when it comes to smaller service providers like electricians, plumbers, etc. When they use a call service that leaves you punching numbers and following a sea of options, it leaves me wondering if my call is ever going to be returned. That's even before getting any sort of fee estimate. And I had trouble conquering the first feat with a few other providers.

Not with Optimum. I got Sean directly and had the opportunity to explain my situation- a shorted room in my downtown condo when the building's power shut off (I won't bitch about that situation- separate gripe). He was realistic in timing for a visit and clearly indicated the initial visit would be free of charge- which was perfect. Him and his folks came out to my place and found the issue immediately. Because it was something that took them no time at all to fix, they worked with me on a very reasonable fee for their visit- great job! I recommend Optimum for anyone, especially if you're in the downtown LA area!

Oooook! So I know NOTHING about electricity beside the fact that I need it. Wifey and I are moved into my childhood home. House is over 100 years old and the electrical was last touched in the 90s...and there was a singed outlet. No bueno. Optimum Electrical was amazing! The owner and his pops came out tested the outlets and got things working right. Dude is super personable and professional. There are very few times that I'm happy forking over my hard earned money. Awesome guys. Prompt engagement over Yelp messages- and instead of trying to quote me some big number to show up to look at the issue (based on my rudimentary explanation of what I thought may be wrong with my electrical), they gave me a narrow 2 hour window of my choice to come check out the issue first. The father-son duo were great! Very fair pricing and more importantly, felt trust-worthy and focused on the need at hand and a broader relationship vs just trying to rip me off on the one job with some exorbitant price for showing up. Where do I start out here -- Needed a good bit of electrical work done at the house and called about half a dozen electricians to come out and give an estimate. When each came to give an estimate, I mentioned they were free to share with me any scope creep they noted that needed to be addressed (I knew what it was but wanted to see the attention to detail from the electricians).

Out of all of the electricians that came out, only Sean with Optimum Electrical noted the additional items that needed to be addressed. The attention to details / quality of work are an A+++ in my book, and this ranges from the original estimation to the work performed onsite to dealing with the inspector to the cleanup at the end of the job. They really are courteous, professional, clean, and have a good attention to detail.

What are the cons of this company? I actually can't think of any. If these guys could show some other vendors how to do business, that'd be nice, but I understand that is not in the cards.

Bottom line - for any other electrical work I, or friends of mine, need in the LA area, I will for sure recommend Optimum Electrical!

With the weather heating up I needed to have two fans installed in our bedrooms. One was to replace an existing ancient relic and the other was to replace a light fixture. I found Optimum on yelp and asked for a quote. The owner Vaheh was by far the most professional and responsive. He was direct and reasonable with pricing and easy to schedule with. From the onset, he and his associate were professional, they wore masks (pandemic conscious) and got straight to work. They were done installing the two fans in less than an hour. Now I'm pretty handy, but I know that I would've taken a whole afternoon! I'm so happy I've found an excellent electrician, I look forward to working with them again!

My house was built in 1965 and the electrical panel needed to be replaced with a safer unit. Optimum Electrical was the most knowledgeable company of all of my contacts and they had good reviews, so I chose them. I am extremely happy with the quality of their work, their knowledge and integrity. They said what they would do and did exactly what they promised and then left the area clean. They got the permits and were there for inspections, always timely and professional. Later I needed another job, wiring for a waterfall and I hired them again. In the fall I am having them come again to set up wiring to handle Xmas lights. I would not hesitate a moment to recommend them. Great work!

These guys are the highest rated for a reason; they hit all the check boxes you want in any professional coming to work on your home. They were very easy to chat with on the Yelp messaging feature and got back to me same day often within the hour. They showed precisely up on time, and did an excellent job - I needed a new outlet in my attic and they had it done in less than 10 minutes, and it works great.

I am writing a review for work that Optimum Electrical completed in the fall of 2019. We had a great experience with them and want to follow through and share this with others. I simply had to open an account on Yelp and write my first review, because Optimum Electrical did such a great job.
We needed to move our old electrical panel and upgrade it to a new, larger panel. We chose Optimum Electrical after researching reviews online and interviewing several electricians. We chose Optimum because they were knowledgeable, focused, and the estimate they provided us for the work we needed was very reasonable. They have a very transparent way of pricing that was easy for us to understand.
A father and son team, with a third electrician, they did a fantastic job and completed the project within budget and on time. Sean patiently answered all our questions. Sometimes, he would discuss the best way to approach a problem with his father. Together, they helped us plan how to approach a future expansion we have in mind for a different part of the house.
Friendly, knowledgeable, and kind not only to us, but to each another, they were easy to work with. We were touched when we saw them congratulate each other and shake each others' hands (this was pre-Covid..) after completing the job. This showed us they took pride in a job well done. It was fun to witness this expression of mutual respect and shared camaraderie.
We are glad we have found Sean and his dad (and his coworker). We now know who to call for all our future projects. We have found our electricians.

Update 2018 :Had to schedule again due to original house builders installing a bad GFI outlet behind stove. Scheduling and reply time was great. Problem was solved efficiently.

Responded the quickest with clear requests for job scope and timing. The price for adding two electrical outlets was decent and it was a Father and Son crew. Checked credentials for licencing and qualifications from their online website. Job was scheduled for the following day.

I have worked with trades on both coasts (commercial and residential) and Optimum Electrical were both knowledgeable& trustworthy. Trust is a rare commodity these days especially when interacting with contractors. I do recommend Optimum Electrical for anyone looking for electrical work of any size.

I needed a total of 4 fixtures swapped in my home and it was clear that Sean and his father have been doing this work for a very long time. The entire process took about 2 hours at most without any hiccups.
***Without going into too much detail, there was a noticeable flaw on one of the newly-installed light fixtures after the team left and I wasn't sure if it was a mistake during the installation so I gave Sean a call to inform him about the situation. He was not the slightest bit defensive and even acknowledged that it could have happened while he was working on it (he's human after all). He offered to make it right, although in the end, I was able to figure everything out. Still, I was impressed by his character and his humility.

I recently had him install an additional electrical outlet in my garage. On my way to the appointment, I ran into terrible traffic caused by an accident. I was an hour late. There is no doubt that these guys know their stuff. You can trust that they are experts both in safety and problem solving. Response and arrival time couldn't be better. The only drawback for me is pricing. I had a ceiling fan installed for $169. When we realized a fan box needed to be put in as well -- an addition that took an extra 10 minutes -- I was charged another $89. This felt extremely excessive, particularly since the whole job took under 45 minutes.

I had reached out to at least 5 different electricians for estimates before deciding on Optimum Electrical, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Due to an attempted break-in, I decided to add some Ring floodlights around our property, at locations where there were no existing electrical wiring or outlets. The Ring equipment alone is expensive and takes a lot of set-up time, so I needed to know what kind of investment was needed.

Sean was prompt in responding to my Yelp message, and I was able to schedule an appointment for an estimate not long after. Sean was punctual for the appointment and invested a lot of time in understanding our needs. Instead of upselling, Sean tried to talk us off 2 additional cameras that he suggested were redundant, but he graciously relented when we insisted on keeping one additional camera. He demonstrated a lot of knowledge of the Ring products which helped with our decision. We felt that Sean spent more time than other electricians to get to know us so that he could give us the best recommendation and estimate, so while his estimate was not the lowest price (it was middle of the pack), we had the most confidence in it.

Sean was accommodating of our schedule when it was time to book the actual installation, coming to us on a weekend. Sean and his dad Mike showed up punctually and were incredibly efficient - I was surprised they were largely done by 11 AM. One part of the job required them to knock down some interior drywall, which Sean explained during the estimate, and he took the time to check with me before he started to do so. When they were done, Sean and Mike tidied up the area nicely.

The whole job was completed sooner than I expected and Sean and Mike were professional and pleasant to deal with during the entire experience. It's good to know they're available for big or small jobs and even for 24-hour emergencies. We will definitely be hiring Optimum Electrical again for our electrical needs.

Sean at optimum electrical was great. He and his team responded first to the few requests for appointment I sent out on Yelp. When they did come for a quote, they were on time and very friendly! I was 38 weeks pregnant at the time and wanted outlets put in so I could have a dishwasher installed.

The quote was fair and they didn't pressure me but instead explained the pricing a broke it down item by item which I found to be very helpful.

I may not know anything about electrical work but I work in customer service and I could tell they were trustworthy and respectful.

They came to do the work a few days later and finished faster than expected.

I worked with the team from Optimum on a several light switches that I needed to replace with some new dimmable ones but I had some older wiring and was unsure if I could even have them installed. They gave me a date and time that worked for me and came out to look at the outlets and let me know that they could do the job on the spot. They finished in under 3o minutes and also advised me on how to swap out a light fixture that I wanted and opinion on and also needed to upgrade on my own - they were honest that it would be simple and that I shouldn't pay them to do it when it was as easy as pulling the old one out and putting a new one in same place. Optimum is the best. I called them out to look at some flickering lights. While Sean and David were investigating the flickering they discovered serious damage in our main panel as a the result of some previous incident. Installed a nema 14-50 plug in addition to expanding the circuit breaker in my unit for $3300 for a Tesla. It was a pleasure working with Sean who was very communicative, patient, and seemed to have competitive rates. Sean and Mike were AWESOME! Found them because of their insanely positive Yelp reviews and messaged them here and they got back to me almost immediately to schedule a time to meet. They were able to stop by within a day or so and gave my husband and I a quick inspection of our needs (free of charge). They showed up on time to do the work (they moved an outlet, installed a doorbell, and setup our ring camera) and were a delight to have in my house. I even bought a light timer to install myself but they took it from me and installed it right there, free of charge. THIS NEVER HAPPENS! Honestly, you will not be disappointed. If anything, you will be shocked that there are such kind AND intelligent vendors out there. I know I was. The only thing to note is that they're in super high demand so make sure you call them as soon as you think you'll need them!

I reached out to Optimum to help me pull together some small projects in my new apartment. They got back to me so quickly and were able to come out and estimate the job in a timely manner (upgrade recessed lighting, change out ceiling fans and smoke/CO detectors and outlets/switches). They came to install a Tesla charger for my car and they did such a great job that I actually asked them if they could help me with installing a light switch that I could turn on remotely from my phone. Optimum is fantastic. Had a relatively simple issue, but being a complete electrical noob, I called and scheduled a visit. They were on time and immediately set to work diagnosing the problem. Upon finding the issue, they were clear and upfront about what they'd need to do to fix it and how much that would cost.

All in all, they were in and out in about an hour. My outlets work and - total bonus - I didn't electrocute myself.

During the high winds our lights in the front yard were destroyed. We no longer had any lighting available in the front yard and were unable to utilize the yard during the evenings. I reached out to a few places off yelp and received some quotes that seemed a tad unreasonable for putting up lights. I contacted Sean who provided the most reasonable price out of the group I reached out to. Sean knows what he's doing and was able to perfectly install my ceiling fan and the light switches wiring in short notice. Very clean and professional work to full completion. An added bonus was that no patching or painting needed after he was done with the project.

I needed an old light fixture removed, and a new one installed in my hallway at home. It was a pretty simple job. My ceiling is about 9 ft. high, and the light fixture was small, about 7 in diameter. I reached out to several electricians. Optimum was the first vendor to respond to my request for a quote (through Yelp). They were also considerably less. One company quoted $175-$275. Another told me that it would cost $200 to come out, but that would be applied to my bill.
The electricians (dad and son) arrived 15 min. early. They were pleasant and friendly. We joked about family and grandkids. Everything was done in about 20 min.
Next time I need an electrician I will be contacting these gentlemen.

Fantastic contractor. After I described him the symptoms of my electrical system he told me (unlike other electricians I had contacted on Yelp) that he couldn't give me a reliable quote until he had figured out what was going on in my home, which I found very honest. He arrived right on time! He than found the problem, solved it, analyzed my electrical system, and changed it to perfectly adhere to California code so to avoid problems with insurance in case something (God forbid) would happen in the future. I will call again in case of need.

Sean not only picked up on the first ring, but was very responsive with the subsequent calls and texts I sent prior to scheduling an appointment to install an electrical vehicle charger at my residence. Had Shawn replace a light fixture at a property I manage. He solicited all the information he needed ahead so that he could show up with the parts ready to go. He arrived early which was okay, although I wasn't at the site yet, so he had to wait.

Once we got in, he changed out the fixture. Took all of 15 minutes. And he was courteous to the residents too. Price was reasonable (and has a 1 year warranty). Will definitely go with Optimum again in the future.

I was renovating a rental unit which needed quite a bit of electrical work. I got 5 bids (I'm pretty thorough with this sort of stuff) and not only was Sean's the lowest, he was also the one I had the most confidence in and felt the most comfortable with. My instincts were correct.

I had been having lighting/power issues for some time in my kitchen. The previous electrician had briefly fixed the problem, but the solution was short lived. Working with Optimum Electrical was great. After getting a few quotes from larger electrical companies I decided to contact Optimum Electrical based on their Yelp reviews. I was able to get Sean on the phone and we walked through the scope of the project. I decided to book based on that conversation - easy to talk to (explaining things to me that I did not understand) and competitive pricing. These guys book two weeks out - worth the wait! I searched and called over 15 places and finally went with Sean at optimum. He is very professional, courteous, and did an amazing job on my EV wall charger install. He has a lot of jobs going on and I can see why. He even was able to fit me in on the weekend. Almost all the other companies I called do not even work on the weekends let alone after 5pm so Sean really made it convenient for me. When he was at my breaker box he also caught a burned breaker which could have been really bad. He instantly saw it and helped me replace it. Also I have to say, he is very punctual. We set a time and he was at my place not one minute late, ready to start the job. Reliable, great service, honest, punctual, professional. Highly recommend him. I'll be using him for any future electrical needs. You should too!

Sean and the team at Optimum Electrical are the true definition of what contractors SHOULD be. I recently renovated my entire house and I took on the role of a General Contractor, which gave me the opportunity to work with many contractors. If they all operated like Sean, this process would have been a dream. Sean and team upgraded my panel and rewired the entire house. There are way too many positive examples to list, but here are some of them. Sean's professionalism is unmatched. He delivered on every promise. He never made me feel like I was asking too much or that I was being unreasonable. Even the couple of times that I asked for something that was not in my best interest, Sean made sure he explained the details and made me make the decision. I could tell that Sean worked on my house as if it was his own. He found several electrical issues, from a prior contractor, which he could have easily ignored and I wouldn't have been any wiser, but he brought it to my attention and fixed the problems. He made sure our home was safe and that we would never have to worry about any electrical issues. Sean's passion for his work is amazing. His work was so neat and well done that even the inspector complimented the work that was done. If you need an electrical contractor, you should, no, you MUST contact Sean at Optimum Electrical. I was very lucky to run into Sean when I was shopping for electricians. Before finding Optimum Electrical, I had already obtained bids from five other electricians from the local area and was just about fed up with the whole searching process. Others either never followed up after the first meeting, showed a lack of attention to details or a lack of professionalism during the initial review. Sean on the other hand not only met all these expectations but went up and beyond what was required for the job.

Sean helped me install a 200-amp panel box but when I told him about a few outlets that were causing me trouble, he happily took the time to diagnose and resolve the additional issues. Sean demonstrates that he cares about the job and the property through his actions instead of just words which is very rare in today's market of contractors. Given the opportunity to hire Optimum Electrical again, I would do so in a heartbeat.

Called Optimum Electrical today spoke to Vahe asked if he could connect three phase Kaesar Air compressor. I told him couple of Electricians came by they said they feel uncomfortable doing the job cause they don't want to be responsible for the compressor warranty. Optimum came out to give a proposal for removing old (1950) original main panel and sub panel, both were substantially undersized and infamous for starting house fires. Sean quoted me a fair price and went right to work on the sub panel, completing it that day. They came back on Saturday and installed the new main panel and new masthead. The quality of their work is first class, everything meeting or exceeding building code. I recommend Optimum Electric and would use them again.

Vahe came very highly recommended by a good friend. My aunt just closed escrow and put me in charge of fixing her new place. Even though I already had an estimate from another electrician and was ready to give him the job...I decided to call Vahe and get an estimate from him as well. He came the same day to give the estimate and right after he left we called him back and told him to start the job. He was very organized, professional and trustworthy. Few additional projects were added after he started the job and the estimate was given, however Vahe was very happy to do the extra work. Everything was done perfectly. There were other workers that were in the house working on other projects and they also mentioned how impressed they were with how kind and knowledgeable Vahe was. Sean just completed his work here, and I feel motivated to write my first Yelp review. What a delightful transaction. I needed to hide the power cord attached to my new digital art frame, and was sure I knew the perfect solution--swap a light switch for a recessed outlet. Turns out I was wrong, and that the best strategy, according to Sean, would cost about $200 less. So a medium-sized job turned into a really small one, and a big win for me. Sean was great! I was having issues with a particular outlet and contacted him on Saturday. He responded within minutes and came on Monday to get it fixed. He even went above and beyond to check out my breaker box and noticed a 30amp circuit breaker was installed on a 12-gauge wire, which could have melted the wire and caused a major disaster. Thank goodness he saw that and was able to change it out for me. Considering I now have peace of mind, his prices are very reasonable. And it's great to support a small local business! Called Optimum to inquire about Ring installations as they seemed to have a lot experience with this product unlike a lot of service providers out there. From the moment I called Sean, he was super professional and knowledgeable. I had called at least a dozen other electricians and none of them had the knowledge and experience that Sean had, especially with the various Ring products I wanted installed: 3 motion floodlight cameras; 1 spotlight camera and a Ring doorbell. He even helped us out on a scheduling bind as we wanted to get these products installed ASAP for security concerns. Sean and his guy were not only fast, efficient and precise in their job, they help you out with setting-up the various devices on your Ring app, setting motion activation zones and demonstrating how to use the various features. Apparently, Sean was contracted by Ring directly to do a mass setup in the Palisades and I'd venture to say that he's probably setup more Ring cameras, floodlights and doorbells than anyone in LA. If you're concerned about security and want to setup the popular new Ring floodlights and cameras or need electric work done generally, Sean is your guy. He's the best electrician I've ever worked with.
