Best Lighting Installation in Austin TX

We called Malco a week ago to have a few outlets put in in our (1940s) home. Our wiring is older and difficult to deal with so we weren't sure what we were going to get but I'm so glad we called these guys. Chris showed up with a second electrician in tow (sorry friend, I forgot your name) and they were super efficient. They also did a great job explaining how our home's wiring is laid out and how we can best work with it in the future.

Our bathroom in particular did not have the proper wiring to install an outlet safely but they were able to go the extra mile and run things from elsewhere in the house. I honestly can't believe how quickly they worked, how clean the house is now that they're gone, and how inexpensive it all was. I'd have done this months ago if I'd known about them. I'm putting Chris on speed dial for any of my future projects.

In case anyone is concerned, they kept masks on the entire time, making sure that they had their noses covered entirely the entire time. They left every area that they touched cleaner than it was when they arrived.

These guys are definitely top notch. I got three quotes for some fairly complex electrical work and TES came in at about a third of the cost of the highest bid. I was a little skeptical of their ability to deliver but the tech providing the quote seemed sharp and their reviews were good so I gave them the work. Long story short, they did great and I have used them three times since on different flips. Their pricing is straightforward and they show up when they say they will and the inspection gets passed every time. Above and beyond that, the teams they send are personable and enjoy talking about electrical needs and don't mind giving out free advice.

I wouldn't consider another electrician in town so long as these guys are here. Darin, who is the owner and does most of the smaller ad-hoc projects (as I was told) was the one who came out for me. I just had a ceiling fan that needed to be fixed (troubleshoot why it didn't work after I tried to install it - no Tim Taylor am I), and a light fixture installed. Darin was a living example of customer service - he should probably teach a class for people in service-oriented fields. Why do I say that? He took the time to explain things when asked and wasn't annoyed by any question. He was a professional, and just generally looked happy to do his job. The best way to describe it, is that you could tell he was someone who knew what he was doing and loved doing it. I think inherently as people, most of us can spot that, and just know that is the difference between good and awesome.
I think pricing was fair and reasonable as well, I did get multiple quotes for the same job as I like to compare my options. Interestingly enough, each company had a different way of quoting the work, but Max's seemed the most reasonable and fair way to do it, so the price was just another reason to give them 5 stars!

Anyway, if we have any other electrical work, I will be calling Max Electrical Service again, without a doubt.

I called Thomas early Monday morning, and he managed to find time to come out before his next appointment. He arrived, fixed my light/fan switch problem, and reinstalled the fan with no fuss and no issues. He has a 1-hour minimum charge, so after his ~35 minutes spent on the initial problem, he made sure to fill the rest of the hour checking on other issues I'd been having, answering questions, and giving advice. He seemed very concerned that I'd get my money's worth for the hour, and I appreciate that very much.

I tried to get him to fix an antique fixture. He identified the problem immediately, and said he could get the light to come on again, but that it would be better to replace the fixture or have it repaired. He even gave me a referral for restoring the fixture. He likely could have charged another hour of labor for this, but opted for the right thing instead. It's hard to find a responsive electrician these days, especially one that doesn't make you feel like you're being squeezed.

Now I need to find the Thomas for plumbing, HVAC repair, and my car!

These guys are pros and my go-to for any electrical needs.  They've done several jobs for me over the years and I've been happy with their work and prices every time.  100% recommended.

Brightside did a great job for a small repair I needed.  The repair man came with a COVID mask already on and was polite, knowledgeable,  and quick working.

I was appreciative that they could give me a solid quote for a small repair and that they were comfortable organizing the visit on Yelp, whereas others would only give an hourly rate and wanted me to call someone else to schedule an appointment.  They're very comfortable working through Yelp.

Setting up an appointment was easy - great communication.   They were able to quickly identify the problem and make the repairs.   I was able to get bids on another project and set up the time for that call same day.   Great experience, highly recommend.

Todd and team at Tomei Electric are great for your electrical needs. Extremely knowledgeable and get the job done. I had extensive work on my recent home purchase done (panel replacement, alumiconn the entire home, etc), and then a few fixture installs a few months later.

Super responsive and did everything right!  Arrived on time and hung our two Jew light fixtures beautifully.  One was a large chandelier that needed scaffolding to hang.  I highly recommend L&R.

We had a problem that was a bit tricky with some mis-wired GFCI outlets. Travis patiently tracked down the issue and got it taken care of with great explanations along the way. I appreciated his clarity and thoroughness. Would definitely go to him again for any sort of electrical issue!

Good experience with Shine On. Diagnosed an issue that was causing some problems with outlets. Fair price and showed up on time!

I called Dan to install three ceiling fans in my new home. He did a good job and didn't stop for a moment until all the work was done. I didn't post a review then as I thought he did what was expected.

Two months later two of the fans started clicking, so I messaged Dan on a Sunday asking him to call me to see what could be done.

Less than an hour later Dan came by and spent more than 90 minutes diagnosing what the problem might be disassembling and reassembling, tightening, testing. Eventually all was well again and when I asked what I owed him for his travel and time he said nothing, consider it warranty work.

No one is perfect but a guy who stands behind his work is refreshing and should be rewarded.

Dan is my guy for future work.

I had a great experience with Breeze and Wang. He communicated quickly. he did proffesional and thorough work. He did the work in two visits, in order to allow the system to pressure-test properly (due to the nature of the repair). Most wouldn't take the extra time to do that, but he did. The price was reasonable and he was very friendly. Highly recommended!

Amazing service and great price! They put together an intricate hanging light and hung it from the ceiling 2 stories high and replaced my ceiling fan that was also 2 stories high.  Will use them again for sure!

We had Eli come by to install several new indoor and outdoor light fixtures as well as a ceiling fan.  The job done was awesome, and he was super professional, wore a mask and cleaned up the workspace. This is the only company we'll go to for our electrical needs!

My main breaker was tripped and no other electrician services were available for same day service. Homer was able to come out and did a great job identifying the short circuit in my main panel. He then went to get the materials for me on the same day replacing the entire panel and breakers. Great communication and service! Highly recommended.

I called them to replace a chandelier and an electric switch.
When on the phone, I asked them to give me a quote on the phone. The guy on the phone said each job is different and he can only give me a quote once he sees the job. I kept pushing him to at least give me an approximate quote or a price range but he said he needs to see the job.
When the guy shows up at my home, he goes through a price sheet and gives me a quote of $700 !!!. He could have given me this quote on the phone if all he was going to do was to go thorough a price sheet. I politely told him this was out of my range and paid the $79.
I feel that when I called them, they should have give me an approximate quote on the phone knowing that the job was replacing a chandelier.
I paid them $79 for doing nothing....
