I thought it was pretty Sub-par customer service.

I couldn't be happier with the service that was provided throughout the entire process. I called on a Saturday to have someone take a look at a number leaks I discovered the night before. Jerry came out on the same day. He was very kind. I told him he was the first person to come out and I wanted to have others take a look at it too. He was very understanding and even tightened something to temporarily make the leaking stop. He was the only one that could come out on Saturday. Everyone else I had to set up time for the upcoming Monday. Turned out that the price Jerry provided was around the same price range but on the lower end. I decided to move forward with the work and it was beyond my expectations. I thought I would only get one of the three things fixed but he fixed all three and I got a discount! He was quick and everything looked great. I'm so happy. Thank you, thank you so much for helping me.

Very helpful and honest company. They were able to complete the requested work very quickly. I would definitely use them again.

$570 for a call out fee plus a regular capacitor change out. Just let that sink in. I sent the tech on his way and called the manager. The manager was out to lunch so I left a message asking for a refund of the call out fee since this quote doesn't come close to a normal fee. No call back yet.

For reference, I had it replaced for $140 with a different company and it is working great. Other quotes I received are $212 from Bumble Bee, $176 from AZ Duke of Air, $276 from Day & Air (includes two subsequent maintenance calls for free in the package), etc.

This is completely unacceptable. Don't price gouge your customers.

Update: I was emailed a receipt and I explained the situation again via email. The manager said they were having voicemail trouble but told me via email that to make it right they will waive the call out charge. We will agree to disagree on pricing.

I have used Day & Night A/C service for many years.. I had them out to check the units & couldn't have been happier w/the service..I did need some extra service, but felt Rene did all he could to explain it to me & get it done as reasonably as possible.. He went beyond the call of duty as far as trimming a bush to get to the unit, (my bad!), & both units looked like new when he was finished.....I was totally pleased w/the service that was given to me today...
they called & were actually able to come a day early, which this time of the year is always nice...What is also nice, is someone coming in to do a job & you don't  feel like they've done the bare minimum, charged you & are gone!! that was not the case today for sure....I do not hesitate to recommend Day & Night..L.M.

I called Dukes of Air on Saturday morning, and they sent Todd. He was there by 11:15.  Todd was obviously very experienced.  He checked over the system and fixed the problem.  I have 7 other rentals and have developed a sixth sense for AC con-men. Todd is not one of them. I believe him to be very knowledgeable, smart and honest.  I will use Dukes of Air and Todd in the future.

Provided quote for the faucets, but needed to inspect toilets installation before quoting install price. Since their quote was much higher for the faucets I elected to go with a different company.

My wife and I just moved to Tempe. There were a few plumbing issues; to say the least. I was refereed to King by my agent. Terry was very pleasant on the phone. He was also able to accommodate me by sending a plumber the next day. The plumber was Randy. He was AWESOME. Very personal and informative. He did not talk down to me or treat me like I was an idiot for not knowing how to fix the problems. It was like he was helping a buddy and not some guy that just called. I would highly recommend them to anyone! Unless we move away we will never use any other plumbing service.

Hansen Family Plumbing has been our go-to for our plumbing needs for many years. From major underground pipe repair thanks to tree roots, to your more basic faucet issues, I've called them for various needs and have always received excellent customer service and prompt appointments. I always highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

I would definitely NOT recommend this company.
Called to have my 3 units looked at and was having issues with one.
Said he could only look at one unit and not repair it. Said he was slammed today.  How would he know if it would be a quick repair or not? First of all, why would you not repair it ? Isn't that the point of calling a repair company?
Called the office to explain that when I scheduled I asked all units to be checked out and rearranged my schedule for them to come out. Finally, she said that he could check all the units and insisted no repairs would be made. Again, why are they insistent on no repairs? That is the whole point. It is $75 for the service call but they plan to leave you hanging.
When he checks the unit I was having problems with, he came in with a list of several things that were wrong with the unit which would cost $4500+ to repair but he wouldn't recommend the repairs because it's too old of a unit. Was told I need to get a new unit which they send a sales consultant to go through the various types $4K-$20K.
I decided to do a little research and ask around for another company since obviously this wasn't going well.
My son's friend's dad has an A/C company and he came over early today (Saturday morning), investigated the problem, went over with me the cost of replacement parts which were strictly a maintenance issue. It is a Trane unit which is one of the best so maintenance is all it needed. He went to pick up the parts since Saturday they are open until noon. Came back, replaced the parts, checked the freon and it didn't even need any and it instantly became cool. Parts are warrantied for 5 years so at that time, if they are problems, look at replacing it then.
$1500 and I am set for 5 years!

Back to this terrible company. Every single thing he said was not working was FALSE. He also told me it needed 11 pounds of freon at $200+ per pound so $2200 in freon alone. There were no leaks as he claimed. If I had no freon and did not get freon today, why is my house so cold now?
They push hard on new units so that's their scam. They don't want to repair anything for you. They want to rip you off!
I have to get up now. It's so cold in here I have to turn up the thermostat.

My AC broke in the middle of summer and it was miserable, called them and they were so quick to help me.. definitely gonna save their number in case this heat kills my AC again!! Thanks guys

I have a fairly new home, built less than 2 years ago, and my tankless water heater went out a few weeks ago. The company charged me for a part I didn't need that was still under warranty. It took two weeks for them to finally fix it and all it needed was an electronic master reset.

I reached out to ask about why they charged me for a part I didn't need and they said due to all the time they spent here and on the phone with tech support.

Here's the issue I hope you correct going forward so it doesn't impact future customers:

1) Your technician didn't spend more than 5 minutes here the first time. He didn't troubleshoot anything. I told him the code and what I looked up online that led me to calling you. He said yup that's it. Then he left.

2) Had he troubleshot the issue it could've been resolved that day and we wouldn't have been without hot water for two weeks. Also, this would've prevented the ordering of a part that was unnecessary.

3) The second technician said he's not a plumber, rather he's an HVAC guy. I think having the properly trained technician would have sped up the job, reducing time wasted on troubleshooting a master reset.

I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because  I am thankful the last technician that came out was honest and was able to resolve it and get the water heater working.

My in-laws live in a home I own in Prescott Valley and I trusted my father-in-law to subcontract out a new air conditioning unit in 2013.  He chose Yavapai Plumbing & Heating and continued to have them provide seasonal maintenance.  He passed away over Memorial Day weekend 2018.  In early June 2018 while helping my mother-in-law and wife in sorting property out at the house I noted the air conditioning was not performing adequately.   I contacted  Yavapai Plumbing & Heating and their technician responded.  He appeared competent enough but after making recommendations on changing intake grill size to the mixing box he said the system appeared to be low on refrigerant.  He did not recommend a leak test to fix a potential leak, but added 2 pounds of refrigerant which appeared to fix the problem.  The AC stopped cooling about a week ago and now I have contacted this company to resolve the problem.  Part of the problem appears to be having technicians who aren't curious about why a system has lost refrigerant.  My experience with my home in Las Vegas is that a low refrigerant condition typically prompted the technician to evacuate the system, pressurize it with nitrogen gas and monitor for a pressure drop, which if noted prompts the technician to look at mechanical joints/fittings as the possible location of a leak.  This seems to be a prudent approach for a system that is only 5 years old.  Then when the leak is identified and tightened/fixed the system is evacuated and recharged with refrigerant to restore the AC system.  It doesn't seem reasonable to have to recharge a system every 2 months.  I will see how they respond.

One of our AC units starting making a grinding noise on Easter, of all days.  We called expecting the worst, but were pleasantly surprised.  AC by J had someone out within a few hours and we were charged a very reasonable price, all things considered.

The service tends to be pretty good and the technicians are always friendly and very knowledgeable.

But...the scheduling is terrible. I scheduled a visit to my home about a week and a half in advance. I was told that the window was from 8 AM to 11 AM. When I had not received the 45 minute courtesy call by 11:30 I assumed that I was dealing with a no show and went out for lunch. At 11:42 I got a call telling me that a technician would be at the house in 10 to 15 minutes. I explained that I was told the window was 8 to 11 and was promptly told that the window was 10 to 1. I once again told the young lady on the phone that I had been told that the window was 8 to 11 and that I could be at the house in about a half hour. She said that she would tell the technician to not show up before a half hour. I easily made it home  within the half hour and waited. The half hour mark came and went at 12:12. The technician arrived at 12:55.

I really don't like dealing with companies that don't know how to schedule appointments.

My A/c was R22 compatible which has been discontinued.  (It needed freon) I didn't want to put $2k in a HVAC that I would eventually need to rEplace I called around other HVAC companies and started my proposal process!  Parker and Sons sent out Richard the Sales/HVAC first contact guy!  First impression was lasting as he seemed very concerned about my high monthly a/c bills.  During estimating he found a hole in my flex which proved to be the cause of high bills along with additional insulation.  (We will see) Richard was very knowledgeable and honest!  I felt that I could trust him to give me a honest quote.  Parker & Sons was a little higher than my other quotes.  I have zero regrets!  The team of guys all of them were awesome!!!  Starting with Terrance, Louie, David, Rito and if I'm missing anyone I'm sorry!  All were ready to mask up!  They were all people persons and dedicated to their job!  They laid plastic runners to not mess and cleaned everything perfect!  In the end they applied insulation to my entry into my attic which was awesome and unexpected.  All of them were dedicated to their job and spoke highly about the Company and co-workers.  They were always on time and even sent google maps to track their arrival!  I need another AC and I will most definitely use Parker & Sons!!! Keep up the great work team!!!  Oh before I forget the office staff amazing and nice and very patient and also very knowledgeable!!!!  Yay!!!!!!  Love Parker & Sons

Indoor Blower Motor went out on our Trane AC unit on Friday they were able to come out for half the price of the other company on a Saturday morning so we were hopeful. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes but then mentioned that trane parts center is closed on Saturdays so they wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday. He said he couldn't quote me the hourly charge everything has to go through the office. Called first thing on Monday morning and was told they would call back within an hour. Called back an hour and a half later and then was told again that they would call back in an hour and then they finally called back a few hours later and said the part was ordered and quoted $500+ for a 1 hour repair that the part was under warranty (the unit is under 4.5 years old). Called accutemp and they were able to come repair it on Tuesday for $280 for the same problem. Precision has a reasonable $59.95 fee for a Saturday but will come out and charge you even though they know they can't get parts on a Saturday to fix your unit and then gouge you for the repair. Lost $60 dollars but learned a lesson that I will be telling everyone I know about.

*UPDATE* surprise surprise my AC unit broke yet again. This will be the 4th time we've had Chas Roberts come out to repair it, 3rd time in less than a month. I'm so sick of this happening. Nobody seems to know how to fix the real issue or even know what the real issue is. My concern is after my warranty is up on my home in a few months, this will continue to happen and I will end up paying thousands of dollars on repairs or replacements. This is a new house!
