I called this guy at 830 am. He came out and gave me a free estimate, completed the work, and I had the ticket paid, all by noon. I had to be at work so he even went as far as sending me pics once the work was complete. He was professional over the phone and this was really just a convenient transaction.

I needed someone to fix a toilet leak at my house and also check the water pressure of my shower because it was too strong. Honest and fast service. He went to get a part to fix the toilet and didn't charge extra. Very reasonable price, would hire again.

I was in need of a plumber because my water line that goes into my hot water tank broke and the pipe is welded into the house. Josh came within 2 hours on Saturday late afternoon, during this Corona Virus shutdown!! Excellent service and fast service!

We've been using Longhorn Plumbing's services for the past 5 months or so. We found them on recommendation of our foundation company. We had to reset our foundation and of course this caused a handful of plumbing issues. We were very impressed with the work of the Longhorn Plumbing team as they spent 10 days working on our home and worked from 7am into the evening. They are probably one of the hardest working teams we've had do work on our home. Additionally their quote for a large project was the lowest we've received. We've also had them perform other smaller projects including hydrostatic testing and again their quotes are the lowest in the greater Austin region. Plumbing service work can really vary with some companies quoting us outrageous prices for a simple hydrostatic test. Do yourself a favor and call Longhorn Plumbing for experts at an affordable price!

We needed our kitchen sink plumbing snaked out. Another company cancelled due to the freezing weather, but Joaquin fit me in even in his packed schedule. He was super friendly, professional and fast. He was also very reasonable and his company gave me a quote before he came out, unlike the other company I had booked with. I am so happy we can do the dishes again! This is a great plumbing service company and if I ever need anything I will call them again without hesitation.

Hired to replace water valve going from house to city. Good customer service, price, and work. I would hire them again.

Had another great visit with Anthony. He was friendly, assessed the issue quickly and came up with a creative solution to get us watering again. The cost was reasonable as well. Would recommend Anthony and Austex Sprinkers.

Our water shut off was broken and we needed it fixed quick. I called and he came out within an hour of me calling. David worked quickly and was very professional. We will be calling them again if we ever need a plumber.

We had a wonderful experience with this group. Bobby and Joe helped us figure out a drainage line issue in our rental home, and they tried a practical fix before attempting anything super expensive. They were super kind and helpful, and they did a great job explaining the issue and finding a fix. They also cleaned up after snaking the line, which we really appreciated. I'd be happy to work with them again.

This company did an outstanding job repairing our water damaged home (due to plumbing issues). They are very respectful, trustworthy, and complete the job as quoted. I would highly recommend them with any work needed with your home. We felt very fortunate to find them and plan to use them again!

American Plumbing & Heating have always been a huge help to us. It's always an emergency and we have always been able to count on Felix. I don't know who else I would call if he were not around. He is responsive and makes the problems go away!

So, time passed since the installation of my system, and serious mold problems arose. The first issue was getting them to even look at the problem; their position is that mold happens and is not something they address (telling me to contact a mold remediation / duct cleaning service). After two rounds of expensive treatment (and living in a terrible moldy environment), I badgered them into finally coming to look at the root cause which was a build-up of moisture in the system.
When I asked for the original bid, I told them exactly how I planned to use the system and told them there was no limit on the price; I just wanted a system that would never give me any problems. After the second tweak to help with the mold (both of which I paid for), I was told they would not make any guarantees about future air quality issues. Their reasons are that the ductwork is a problem (although I originally asked them if it would be an issue and to address it if anything was needed), and that the way I use the system might contribute (although I am using it exactly as I told them I would and as I asked them to build for). In a nutshell, their position is that they supply and install piece-parts, but assume no liability for the overall resulting HVAC system. This is not how things were represented nor are they the way a good and responsible company would operate. So, while they sell a good story; they're not really there for you if needed.

These guys really helped us out in a bind when our hot water heater crapped out and leaked all over our floors and into the walls. They came out same day, were upfront on work needed and cost, and very speedy on fixing the problem. I had called several other plumbers before finding them and they were more expensive and couldn't get the parts as quick. Jarrod and Cody were very friendly and professional and I will be recommending them to friends and family for plumbing needs. Thanks guys!!

You should really read my whole post down below, but I can say that in the end what Radiant has going for it is it's owner Brad, who stands behind the integrity of his company and really helped me get this problem fixed. BUT it was still 2 months of my life that was torturous (and ONLY got fixed because I got it inspected and then stood up for myself)! If you are wanting a tanklesss water heater, you should get at least 3 estimates...but it seems that the cheapest and best place around is Texas Water Heaters (I cant remember if that is the exact name). But Brad gave me 1/2 my money back and sent out the adorable team of Andrew and Mike to solve the problem. HOWEVER, I still have a gross silicone rectangle on the side of my historic mid-century modern home(with wood shingles they dont make anymore) that will never go away!
Original post:
just got charged $5800 for a tankless water heater install and feel used and abused... i got it professionally inspected after installation and there were 2 code violations, one of which is going to be very tricky to solve. I was originally told the job would take 3 days...it is 2.5 weeks later now and more work to come. i highly recommend getting other estimates... i was totally naive and was convinced to get the tankless by Jason at Radiant because he said we had a code violation on our existing heater that (i found out later) he was wrong about that would make fixing it more than a tankless. I might use Radiant again...but never Jason.
A few other issues I had are: When the water heater was finally installed and in use in the house the master plumber jason who supervises the apprentices did not come to inspect that it was done correctly. he waited until the dry wall was complete and he could come pick up his check, which I have since cancelled because of this code violation dispute. in his words i didnt want to have to make 2 trips is what he said to me! I said well, it seems pretty important to me that you should have inspected it before it was in use in the house...however he is the one who supervised the job and did final inspection and didnt notice that it was installed incorrectly and did not even have a GFCI outlet installed (which seems like a rooky mistake, even to a new homeowner like myself). aaargh, i'm bummed.
I am really not usually someone who gets all up in a bunch about things, but I am really mad about this. They created a safety issue in my home when they were supposed to be solving my problems! And the worst part is that I paid them a lot of money to do it...
