Best Water Heater Installation in Detroit MI
Highly-rated plumbers on Yelp tried to over charge my elderly mother who has dementia for her stopped up toilet. East plumbing has honest pricing and courteous, professional, on-time service. Other plumbers wanted my mother to pay up to $350 more snaking out her toilet which had too much toilet paper but wasn't affecting the general plumbing systems in the house. East Plumbing charged the standard price for basic snaking.

They were great! Our drain was backed up on Thanksgiving Eve at 550pm and they had a guy come who appeared by 630pm. Woah! Fast! Dennis arrived and was friendly, funny and efficient. Drains were quickly unclogged after some snaking and he took the time to show my stepdad where to look for future snaking. Bravo!!

Actually the second time I've had them out (2 separate issues) -- both times they were prompt, polite, cleaned up so nicely, great work and reasonably priced.

Easy to get a hold of, fast service, reasonable price. Plumber was cute too. Overall great service, thanks!

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

I really wanted to give a positive review for this company. The work performed was satisfactory however, the plumber that arrived at my house was aggravated to be here. He continually insulted the quality and craftsmanship of the prior plumbing work in my home and the product he was paid to install, as well as my Decor. , This is very inappropriate and completely unprofessional. Not to mention the hidden charges that were not disclosed when I called to make the appointment. I will not be using them again.

Came out to fix a gas leak within hours on a Sunday. Very professional and took care of our gas leak within an hour. Highly recommend and will refer anyone who is in need of plumbing or gas leak issues.

I messaged them on yelp got a reply and a next day appointment within 20 minutes. Incredible customer service. When they came out and determined that my issue wouldn't require their services they gave me some advice and insisted I didn't owe them anything for coming out. If I ever need the services they provide in the future they'll be my first phone call. Highly recommend them.

Unfortunately our water heater decided it wanted to wash our basement floor more than it wanted to wash us this past weekend. After striking out trying to find a company to help us out, we luckily heard about Brock Mechanical from a local Facebook group. My wife called the company and immediately spoke to Douglas who is the owner. He was very engaged, seemed genuinely interested in understanding the situation, took his time, and went out of his way to fit in a late-afternoon visit from one of his team.
We had Ken out a few hours later, fitting us into his schedule to review the situation first hand, performed some diagnostic work (e.g. water softener settings; water hardness test) to check if there may have been a conflating issue that would cause the heater to fail. On the spot he was able to give me a quote for a replacement installation with the company sorting out the warranty claim for us. He coordinated that for the very next morning.
Yesterday we had Kyle out bright and early to take care of the installation. He was also great to interact with, kept the house clean, communicated a lot of details about the work so I knew what was going on, and identified a number of less-than-ideal (bordering on dangerous) issues from the prior heater installation that was done by another company. He remediated all of those issues and the quality was very apparent versus what I had before this team.
Even with these two visits, extra quality improvements, and ~24 hour turnaround end-to-end, the final bill came in UNDER the already reasonable quote. I think it's impossible to nail every job perfectly, but it's important that you work with a company who wants to provide that level of service every time they take on work. My sense is that this tight-nit team understands how to take care of people, have real pride in their work, and appreciate your business. They spoke to each other often to sync up on ideas/concerns/get feedback; they clearly trust each other and know that using their collective knowledge is always better than trying to be right alone.
While I hope to have less emergent problems in the future, I at least know who is getting my phone call and money for any plumbing needs from now on. Thanks guys, we appreciate your time, expertise, and customer service!

We spent over a grand to have you fix our leaky tub faucet, and now it makes a high pitch noise from water pressure, and the water pressure is terrible when I want to take a hot bath I have to wait so long to fill up compared to before. Also your guys threw away my water stopper so thanks for making me buy a new one. I'd call and say to come out and fix this but you've already been to my house twice, and I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER ISSUE.... 0 STARS. Also Don't send out the owners son anymore good lord...

The short story is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The long story is as follows.
In mid-March, I noticed a leak in one of my bathrooms as well as an issue with the hot water in a different bathroom. After trying a few things myself, I was pressed for time and contacted Anytime Plumbing to come to my house in Southfield. My technician was John G and he seemed to be a pretty nice guy, although I questioned his assessments.
He started with the hot water issue in the back bathroom. The shower would get warm-ish at best. There would be one burst of hot water and then showering would be absolutely miserable.
John decided that a part had gone bad inside the on-off/warm-cold handle in my shower. He didn't have the part, so he went somewhere to get it, came back, and installed it. No hot water. His assessment was that I needed a new hot water heater because my current hot water heater runs out of water fast. That's a quote from my receipt. I had an instant hot water heater. There was no reservoir full of water to run out. Still, I agreed that the water heater was failing. My belief all along was that the water heater needed replacing, but John wanted to try this other part. He tried and it didn't work. That happens sometimes, so we went to the next issue.
Moving on to the leaking bathroom. John came in and decided he knew the leak was coming from a knob on my old jacuzzi tub that controlled the jets. Now, this knob was located in an area that was hit by water when both the bath spout and the shower head were on. However, the leak happened only when the shower head was on. I addressed this concern with John--why would this be the leaking area when two sources of water hit it and only one led to leaking? His idea was that the water pressure was harder from the shower head than from the spout. I disagreed, but I let him do his thing because he's the plumber and I'm not. Anyway, based on the location of the knob, he had to cut a hole in the bedroom wall on the other side of the tub for access. Not a big deal to me. He needed to be able to visualize the plumbing. So he started chiseling at my wall and then decided he didn't like that location. Then he measured the area he wanted to cut and marked it all out with a pencil (I will clean this off the wall when I'm done, he said). He cut a 7x7 hole in my wall and believed he identified the leak. He put some lock-tight around the knob, slapped an access panel in the hole, and called the job complete. We couldn't confirm the leak was resolved for 24 hours because it needed time to set.
Guess what the charge was--$425. Yup, I paid $425 to have a new access panel cut into my wall, a $95 part replaced that didn't need replacing, and some lock-tight squeezed around a knob. Not to mention the access panel wall also had a nice quarter-sized hole randomly in the middle where he initially started chiseling as well as pencil marks everywhere like a toddler had been playing. John G never did clean it off as he said he would and now I have drywall work to do. I also paid for the part for the shower that I didn't need and the time it took him to go get the part [that I didn't need]. Had I known I'd be paying for the part even if it didn't work OR the time it took him to drive and get it, I never would have let him do it. When I inspected the shower as he left, the part was actually installed incorrectly--so you couldn't even adjust the heat to the hotter setting! It was on the coldest setting when he tested to see if the new part brought hotter water! Worse yet, the leak continued 24 hours later when I tested it. John G did say I could call and have him come back if it continued to leak, but there was no way I was letting him back into my house. So, for $425 to address a leak and cold water, I was left with a leak and cold water.
On a positive note, John G did quote me $1,100 for a new hot water heater installation. That's a fair price. Still, $425 is nearly half that and this company was not getting any further business from me. They shouldn't get yours either.

We are in a spot our water softener is broke our hot water tank is on its way out.
We called paid the $39 to get an estimate which I normally don't do. (Pay for estimates) however just wanted to get these things installed and fixed. They came out Monday o believe. Took until Thursday to get the estimate. Was told they were going to call Get our email and ask a few questions. They never did and then when i called asking about the estimate they weee like well we don't have your email ? Well you have my phone number right ? So could have called. I ask if they can install a tankless ?? She says o we will have sonso call when he is back at the office. That was 11 am. 5 pm i call back like hey just trying to get this estimate ... since i wanted this installed by now not still waiting for the estimate. Oh well he's not back probably Monday!! What. So again I'd be sitting waiting and receive nothing not even call had i not followed up. Now I've stewed all weekend and i want my $39 back since this was clearly a waste!! We will see if they call tomorrow. I'll
Bet someone $39 they won't .

Had a backed up drain on a Saturday night. Super cool guy came out and fixed it quickly for a good price. He took the time to tell me where the problem was. He even entertained my kids' questions. Great service!

Never use this business.
Long story short;
We had a garbage disposal leak that ruined our bottom cabinet and laminate floor in December. Roto-Rooter came out, took up the floor, took out the damaged cabinet and all other bottom cabinets to properly dry up the moisture. Instead of storing the undamaged cabinets like they were supposed to, they left them in our driveway for 4 days to be ruined by rain. After months of trying to get AAA to now pay for the remaining bottom cabinets they originally did not authorize to be replaced and then having to buy our own top cabinets to match we finally have a kitchen 6 months later. After offering to pay Roto Rooter the remaining balance after subtracting the cost from THEM ruining the remaining bottom cabinets, the out of pocket top cabinets and contributing to 6 months of us having no kitchen (eating out virtually all the time, washing dishes in a bathtub etc.) they refused and issued a court summon for their full balance. Also they charged us for an emergency visit with no mention of it prior when we called during business hours and they came out the next day. They also left plenty of rusty nails exposed on our subfloor for us and our animals to step on for a couple months. This is a trash company.

Skip this guy. He is a rip off artist. Oh, he seems nice and friendly at first but he'll take you for what you have and do a bad job. He put in new pipes in the basement because sewage was flowing into the basement and he said new pipes would stop that. They didn't. He didn't finish the job properly. After tearing up the cement, putting in new pipes, he screwed up laying the fresh concrete down. He didn't have enough cement to contour the slope of the floor to direct water into the drain so he said he would be back in a few days to finish the floor. He never came back. And when sewage started seeping back into the basement, I called him, NO ANSWER. I text messaged him, NO RESPONSE. I emailed him, NO REPLY. So now he has my money and I have the same problem as I did before but now the sewage is flowing into the basement through brand new pipes.

Last Friday I paid more than 1,400 dollars for a drain fix with your company. When I arrived I found my tub all dirty, it wasn't rinsed and got all of it stained.
After using it it was plugged and I called Saturday morning and was told that unit Monday I could get it fixed. I called again and supposedly I was going to get emergency service and didn't.
Now I have an ill elder person that needs shower everyday and can't give it to her until Monday.
Very very disappointed.

If I could give negative stars I would. I feel Hoover is a predatory company. I get that they are in business to make money, however these guys are a bunch of hustlers. We needed electrical work in our garage and some outlet work. We knew it would be pricey but figured around $1200. They quoted us at $2k. The electrician went downstairs and told my wife that we have a leak in our electrical box and it needs to be replaced. He said it was an emergency and it needed to be done quickly. The wife says okay. She signs up withers finance company greensky and they state the bill is now $5k for everything. My wife calls me at work letting me know what happened I immediately feel it's a scam. Everybody I talk stated I needed to get it done so we go ahead with the appointment. We figured the price was high but they had some decent reviews on Angie's list. They come and start doing the work. As the day goes on they call out DTE to fix wires on the outside. The technician wanted to know why they were putting in a 200 amp box. The electrician says it's the best and biggest there is. DTE guy thought it was overkill. They do some additional work on the outside. I ask will this change the price and electrician said oh no everything is the same. At the end of the day he shows me everything he did. Everything looks great and I would like to note has been running great. He then hands me a bill for $7800. I nearly crapped my pants. Our lawyer who is a family member contacted them and got the bill down to $5k, but what a fiasco. I would strongly recommend not working with these people unless you have money to throw away.
