Best Backflow Services in Detroit MI
Our toilets in our house seemed to be communicating with each other (i.e., one flush caused a splash in the other), and caused a gurgle in the kitchen sink. Nelson Brother's assured me that it was the main sewer line, and had the guy out to snake it (service charge about $150). When the problem wasn't fixed, they returned and after looking around, diagnosed it as a venting issue. The plumber told me that although it wasn't an emergency, per se, that I should have someone come out, onto the roof, and clean out the main vent (service charge about $100). I waited a month or so, and then scheduled the service.
Today, I left work early to meet the guy to have the problem fixed. He arrived, looked at the issue, and promptly told me that my venting issues aren't that big of a deal, and that I really didn't need to spend the money on having the problem fixed. Also, should the vent become completely blocked, that really wasn't a big deal either.
Oh, but by the way, I still needed to spend $100 for him to stand in my living room for 10 minutes. And, oh, by the way, if you do decide to have the vent cleaned out, *if it does become necessary,* we wont apply it to a future service. Are you KIDDING me? I understand that plumbers need to be paid, but not applying it to the potential future service, *should it need to be done,* is just a bad business model.
Not to mention the bait and switch--have a plumber recommend a service that actually does not need to be done, just to have another plumber show up and tell you that, but still require a service charge.
All he had to say was, I was just trying to be up front (as if being upfront about how you are ripping me off is OK) and sorry about the mix-up (well, YOUR mix-up just cost me MY money). ZERO accommodations.
Basically, this company ripped me out of $100 today.
Last time I will use this company.

Came back for my sister's wedding and found that they had a bad leak. Called Allied to have them come out to take a look. Gave Curt the wrong address and sent him driving on a wild goose chase for 45 minutes but he still arrived with a smile.
Once on site he was able to tell we had multiple issues. Gave me all the options. Ie what we can fix and what he recommends they do. After some texting to my sister and my future brother in law, we decided to fix the utility sink ourselves let Curt do his thing with the behind the wall stuff.
$500 bucks and a y-piece PVC tubing later, Curt has left with a 5 star review.

Came out to fix a gas leak within hours on a Sunday. Very professional and took care of our gas leak within an hour. Highly recommend and will refer anyone who is in need of plumbing or gas leak issues.

I messaged them on yelp got a reply and a next day appointment within 20 minutes. Incredible customer service. When they came out and determined that my issue wouldn't require their services they gave me some advice and insisted I didn't owe them anything for coming out. If I ever need the services they provide in the future they'll be my first phone call. Highly recommend them.

Had a plumbing emergency and Kyle and Ken both responded. Not only did they resolve the issue they were fantastic to deal with. Both professional and knowledgeable. These two guys did great work and Brock Mechanical is fortunate to have them. Nice job!!

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

I ask if they can install a tankless ?? She says o we will have sonso call when he is back at the office. That was 11 am. 5 pm i call back like hey just trying to get this estimate ... since i wanted this installed by now not still waiting for the estimate. Oh well he's not back probably Monday!! What. Came out within an hour for an emergency on a Sunday afternoon. Plumber was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable, located source of problem quickly and fixed. Did not try to push any additional services. Price for Sunday emergency visit was reasonable. Will call again if I am ever in need.

WaterWork plumbing exceeded my expectations in every way. Long story (see the tl;dr version below).

I had a dishwasher delivered by JB Hunt that I purchased from Costco a few weeks ago. JB Hunt actually helped me out by uninstalling my old dishwasher (I was supposed to do it but I didn't feel qualified as it involves plumbing and direct-wired electrical). I'm telling you all this to set the scene of what WaterWork did for me later in the day. JB Hunt was supposed to install my dishwasher but they said they had a rule that if the floor under the dishwasher was lower than the main floor they weren't allowed to do it. I was grateful they uninstalled and hauled away my old dishwasher so I said, ok.
I had a plumber coming out later to fix my toilet, run a new water line for a new refrigerator, and uninstall my dishwasher (Costco originally said I wouldn't get my dishwasher until after 3/18 so that's why the plumber was scheduled to uninstall after JB Hunt). Turns out JB Hunt had it and this was the only Saturday they could deliver and only from 8-11 (they arrived at 9:15). I texted plumber asking if I could get dishwasher installed INSTEAD OF uninstall, fix toilet, and run new waterline). Plumber from Universal Plumbing arrives and proceeds to complain up a storm. It was actually funny looking back on it. He said they don't do dishwasher installs on Saturdays, that it would take 5 hours (?!), and it wouldn't be cheap. He eyeballed the dishwasher and the recently evacuated opening for it and asked me if I thought the dishwasher would even fit. He went on and on about how he was doing me a favor to even come out on Saturday. He said my house was old. He didn't seem to want to plumb in an old house, even with updated everything). Yes, it's 100 years old this year but electrical and plumbing all new in 2008). I booked the appointment two weeks ago and was told Saturdays were same as any other day and I wouldn't be charged extra.
I told him I'd pay the $39 for the service call and we could call it a day. I wrote the check and put aborted mission in the memo line. he said I could keep the check. That was good. I won't write up a bad review on Angies List now as it was a free complaining consultation.

I went back on Angie's list and found WaterWork. I gave them a call at 11:30 (they're open until 2PM) but never expected to get a same day appointment. I can only do Saturdays so I thought it would be a week or two at least. The friendly person who answered said I could expect someone from 1-3PM. I was so happy. Around noon I get a call from someone else (maybe the owner?) asking if someone (Chris) can come earlier as they are one town over finishing a job. Great, I said. Chris arrived and he had the nicest manner. Just what I needed after the last plumber described above. So far, so great. Chris installed my dishwasher expertly. He also replaced all the innards of my toilet. I didn't ask him to put in the waterline (he gave me a quote) as there isn't a rush because the refrigerator hasn't been purchased yet.
He put on booties over his shoes to go up stairs (much appreciated but not requested). He handled my discontinued and oh-so-expensive toilet like it was Dresden china.
tl;dr:
Needless to say, I will have WaterWork plumbing out again to fix the rest of my pent up plumbing issues. I will ask for Chris and wait until whatever Saturday he's working and in my area. I'm way on the east side so I was surprised that WaterWork serviced my area.

I contacted them because it was a Saturday night, and my shower wouldn't turn on! They actually responded within a few minutes and gave me a bit of advice and scheduled me for the next Monday. They got to my house actually before me, so I would say they were definitely reliable. The guy who came was friendly and gave me a lot of good preventative tips to avoid frozen pipes in the future and he fixed the issue in a reasonable time. I would call them again

Over the Christmas holiday we found a water leak at my mom's house. We contacted A-fordable Plumbing & they contacted us right away. They were able to come right out. Jason called us when he was 20 minutes away to give us a head's up. He was very respectful of the house & was very friendly. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue & fixed it in a very short period of time. My mom felt very comfortable with his service & will definitely use him in the future. Thanks much!!

I get a drain snaked every spring as preventative maintenance. I decided to try Birmingham Plumbing Heating and Cooling. I scheduled a non-emergency appointment almost a week in advance. Birmingham's plumber ripped us off. They charged us 2x what Levine and Sons' charged us last year. RooterMD had done the week 3 years ago and Birmingham was 3x what RooterMD cost. Needless to say I will never be calling these folks again.
My wife met them and I was not home. If I would have been home they would have walked away empty handed. They took advantage of my wife's not being aware of the cost which is even worst. I would not trust Birmingham Plumbing Heating and Cooling.

We called Anytime plumbing and they came out the same day. Sam fixed the problem right away. Very professional and nice. He gave us advice on how to prevent the problem from happening again.
We will definitely call anytime plumbing and ask for Sam next time.

I would give zero stars they got mad when I refused to pay 1200 to sanitize my laundry room floor so the plumber that arrived before the cleaning crew decided he no longer wanted to find the leak in my home very unprofessional and rude once he decided he didn't want to take on the job

I had a problem with my water tank that is heated by my boiler. The thermostat had gone out. I had checked it and confirmed it with the tech. that came over. The tech called in a order for the thermostat and was transferred to voice mail. While I was waiting I searched the net for a switch. I found several online for $50. A simple install that remove two screws and unplug and install the new one. No water lines to cut a dry install. An hour and a half rolls by and the tech says they can get one. It would take 4 days to get. And a cost of $352.00. That is to install a $50 part that only would take less that 5 minutes. I don't think so. This isn't the first time I have tried to use these people, but it is the last.

They should not be billing themselves as any type of handyman service or contractor. Their work is unprofessional and substandard. They left the job site and absolute mess, our entire house covered in dust, with wet mud still dripping from corners and ceilings, and having sanded through their own mudding to drywall tape. They should be ashamed to even suggest that they know how to do drywall or mudding.
