Our sinks in our bathroom were backed up pretty bad. We suspected the vent pipe needed to be cleared bc the tub gurgled when you flush the toilet. It's been doing that for a couple years but the sinks were the worst they've been. Found Allied on yelp and all the reviews were good so I requested a quote and they got back to me within a half hour. Set up an appointment for Saturday on Thursday but the sinks got bad again so I messaged them today on Friday to see if they could come out today. They showed up at 11, snaked our vent pipe and within 30 mins or so we were back in business with clear sinks and no more gurgle when you flush the toilet. I didn't get the guys name who was working inside but he was very friendly and I think the price was reasonable. We paid 175. I would def use them in the future.

I called Dixie Plumbing at 3:15am when I woke up to a flooded basement, like many others in the Dearborn area.  They were the only 24 hour plumber I called that actually answered the phone at that time and they had a plumber out to my house within a few hours to clear the basement drains and get the water to recede.  He was very professional and efficient.  This company was literal angels in the midst of a horrible situation.  I would totally recommend!

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I tried to get an estimate however they required the time to be before 4pm.  I work and could not be there before this time so they wanted to charge me $75 dollars for a service visit just to get an estimate.  They have no system in place for people who work during the day.

Fabulous service!  I made a call and within 1 hour they were at my door. And this was just to replace a garbage disposal. My service person, Nico, was kind, informative, honest and clean. Couldn't ask for anything better.

She called and was personable, articulate, empathetic, and fully aware of the details of my concerns. She convinced me to let her get involved with a solution for my concern. I told her I would call her back. I had been impressed with her knowledge and personality. As I went to call her back, she called me. She said she had contacted a knowledgeable technician that could give me the solutions I needed.  Enter Derrick;  This man understands salesmanship and knowledge.  Highly intelligent, great communicator, and very knowledgeable just scratches the surface.  Derrick has fully updated me on the latest changes to the construction codes in my city. I now understand the scope of work which I did not get with my first encounter. Third reason: I just received an estimate that looks like a business plan, detailed and informative. Easily the best estimate I have ever seen. If you read my first review you would know how impressed I am with this outcome.  Kristen is headed on to much bigger things. I'm so glad she called.  Derrick will one day get the great rewards for the excellent job ethic he has displayed.  OUTSTANDING!

I Had them snake a drain for me. The we're prompt and made quick work of the problem. From the time I called to the job completed was only a couple of hours. Price was reasonable.

asked for a quote in an email to avoid service call charge and asked them to email me price. They emailed me a reasonable price quickly and were out in a couple of days to fix a leaky shower drain. They found it didn't need replacing, just re sealing and tightening. Charged much less than the quoted job.  To do the quoted job they wanted $250, 2 other plumbers quoted me $400. First plumber I have ever used that I would call again

Took advantage of the free check-up only to get quoted for ridiculously expensive work/replacement that is NOT needed.  Carbon monoxide was also thrown around....scare tactic?  Got a second opinion from a trusted source and I say Thornton and Grooms is full of shit.  It's pathetic to try and take advantage of people who know nothing about systems and mechanisms when driven by pure greed....and some people let themselves get taken advantage of. It's another level to take advantage by scaring them about carbon monoxide and life and death.

I needed the pipe from my sump pump replaced.  Pretty straightforward job.  Maybe 1 to 2 hours of labor and approx. $20 to $30 in materials.I was happy with the professionalism of how they set up their appointments and notified me by text that Kevin the plumber was on his way.  He looked things over and diagnosed the problem very quickly.  He was very pleasant and courteous.  He told me that he would go out to his truck and formulate a quote for me.  I had a figure of about $400 in my head. Kevin came back with a quote for $600.
I was a a little taken aback by this quote, but decided that I wanted to get the repair over with, because I had sold the house and needed to get the repair done before closing. I told Kevin to go ahead with the work, and he told me that he would be back in two days to get it done.  This gave me time to think, and I decided that I was being ripped off.
I called another plumber.  He gave me the same diagnosis as Kevin, however his quote was $400 less than the quote from Kevin at Hoover.
Needless to say I cancelled my appointment with Hoover.
This is really unbelievable, because I am a returning customer.  I've worked with Hoover twice before.  Apparently Hoover doesn't understand the the cost of customer acquisition or the 80-20 rule that I teach in my marketing classes.  80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers, and those 20% are your returning customers.  Hoover just lost one member of their 20%.

I called in need of bathroom repairs a year ago and was so satisfied with my bathroom remodel I have had JWs Drywall back for several other repairs. I have now had a ceiling repaired. My garage drywalled and my super old and leaking plumbing replaced. I would recommend JWs drywall etc for any home remodeling or repair work.
