Z PLUMBERZ of Auburn Hills

My wife and I had our kitchen sink and garbage disposal back up to where it wouldn't drain. I tried all that I could before having to call the home warranty company. It took 5 days to have a plumber come out to see it. Z Plumberz of Auburn Hills sent a young man named Jason, who was very polite and friendly. The job required the use of a power drain snake to unclog the jammed drain line. It took multiple attempts where each time Jason had to send down the snake cable through elbows and turns in the line. After each attempt, Jason ran the water down the drain and shortly afterward the water was backing up again. It started to look like maybe the drain snake may not be the remedy. Jason was determined to continue to try another time and found the resistance in the line. Now it was looking like the cable wasn't feeding any further through the line. It was Jason's persistence, along with his gentle and forceful guidance of the cable, the clog was penetrated and the sound of rushing water could be heard. He was able to clear the drain and began to pull out all of the footage of snake cable that it required for pushing through the clog. He reassembled the piping and cleaned up everything to his and our satisfaction.
I do believe that any other plumber or other technician would have given up after the first few attempts. Z Plumberz has a young master plumber in Jason who, not only is crafty but is an excellent customer service person. He mentioned that he was an apprentice to the owner, Steve, and spent time working alongside with Steve when he was first hired. Steve has trained him well in the craft. Jason's parents have raised him well.

They were able to come the same day for a garbage disposal repair. I purchased the disposal and started the repair but the dang disposal would not disconnect from the bracket. Nate and his assistant came in and replaced it with parts. They also put shoe covers on which i find that some businesses don't. He explained what they did and showed me that is worked. I was not happy about the $245 price shock but he took the time to explain to me why and what was involved in the cost. Overall, good job and it was appreciated. Would I use them again? Yes but I would price compare. However I was glad they were able to come out same day.

Hired Z PLUMBERZ to clear a blockage in my drain. The service rep Dave sent a tech out (Ethan). He said there was a broken pipe and nothing could be done without replacing it. I rented a snake myself and a camera. Cleared the entire line. No breaks. They were trying to scam me for $3400. I do not recommend Z PLUMBERZ.  They won't return my calls, and charged me $340 and didn't fix the problem.

While the technician was polite and professional, ultimately, I was charged nearly $500 to replace a shower faucet cartridge, a part which typically costs around $50 bucks with minimal installation. My own fault, I should've just paid the on-site service fee.

First time customer, they saw me coming a mile away. I've used another, more local plumber that is much more affordable. This outfit is way over-priced, will never use again, and will never recommend.  

Steve P. - yes, it's your company, receipt #2619 (your company name and address on the receipt). Not a good look when you can't reference a recent repair.  As stated previously, it was for a faucet cartridge, not an entire faucet.  It's a lie to state that a faucet cartridge would cost upwards of $300 bucks...seriously?  Your repairman actually had to go to Home Depot it to purchase it.  Your response, not listening, and taking zero accountability speaks volumes unfortunately that this is a business not to be trusted.  It's called doing the right thing.

Fast and efficient, friendly and reasonably priced.  I'd use Z Plumberz again.

Charged $350 for an inspection which we happily paid expecting to receive a quote to actually repair the damage. Technician left, never emailed a quote. He left the company and nobody at ZPlumbers thought to follow up and make sure customers are taken care of. We're now out a few more weeks and have the choice of going through them again for another quote or taking our business elsewhere.

We had an issue with our tub clogging. Steve the owner was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond not only fixing our tub, he was able to address other issues in our condo at no extra charge for his time to address the issue with our faucets and water pressure.
I liked how they give three options in there quotes instead of trying to overcharge us like previous plumbers we have called. I'd recommend these guys for anyone who has trust issues with plumbers just with there optional pricing alone. Cool trucks too..

I had a great experience with a plumber from this company when I was trying to identify a leak from my washing machine. I have to apologize that I forgot his name but the young guy was friendly and performed a thorough check of the drainage pipes connected to the washer. When it turned out the pipes were clear and issue wasn't plumbing related he did not overcharge me for his time and gave some good advice for checking  and fixing the washer before he left.

I've had plumbers and other repair contractors show up, look for 5 minutes and say they don't see an issue then collect payment for an hours work. These guys didn't rip me off and even went above and beyond to give me a hand even when it wasn't their exact job. That goes a long way in retaining my business.

Just purchased my first home and we needed our main drain unclogged. Tyler is very attentive, he called before he was on his way. He provided explanations and quoted us reasonable prices. He also quoted us for other things that he thought maybe we would need. Wasn't too pushy about it but also made us feel comfortable to rely on zplumbers in the future!

One thing to note: depending on your location and demand, plumbers may be backed up on other jobs and could take a little longer to get to you. But also the guys were honest, called me and let me know it would take a while before they could get back to my job order. I respect that!

Had a bunch of little projects that I wanted to get done while my sons were visiting their granny, such as

*install a new bathroom faucet,
*new toilet lid,
*snake the drain in the shower,
*reroute hot to cold and cold to hot PEX lines that another company installed backwards in the shower & kitchen sink

and talk about quotes for future work. The guys Trevor and Tyler came in and listened and fixed all these things in no time. Everything is in awesome working order now. Excited to jump in the shower and not stand in water! Quote will come later in the week. Midrange pricing, but so worth checking these things off the 'to do' list.

On 5/5 at 4:45 on lapeer rd , driver of this company  van was following too close in heavy traffic and weaving in and out of trafficVery unsafe driver.

First Glass Plumbing installed a new toilet for me today. Tyler and his assistant showed up promptly and were very professional, polite and clean!!! I would not hesitate to call this company again or recommend them to others. Thanks First Class Plumbing!!

The appointment was between 2PM-3PM. I called their office at 3PM to ask if someone was on the way. They told me their tech was finishing up and leaving a job. The technician pulled up at 4PM. That's understandable, these things happen. The tech was able to get our electric water heater working in about 15-20 minutes. The diagnostic charge was steep but normal.

Trevor from Z plumbers did a great job! He showed up on time and took care of the issue with the garbage disposal.

Wanted same day service for someone to come look at a leak. David came by and was very friendly and informative. There was a diagnostic fee, but that seems pretty standard to me as far was professional services like this go. Gave me a thorough price breakdown and multiple options on how to address the leak. I would use them again in the future.

I had a toilet phantom flushing itself. They came out 3 times it is still flushing itself. I have been calling for 3 weeks to get them to come back. They never returned my calls. I have scheduled another plumbing company to come fix my toilet. I will never use this company again!!! I can not believe in 3 weeks you have not gotten ahold of me. I have called your Ann Arbor call center every day and they try to call the Auburn Hilks office with no answer. Once they were in a meeting would call be 3 waited until 5 and no answer

Steve Piazza was wonderful. He was able to diagnose my problem with a leak in my basement. (Water was coming up from the floor where there was no drain.). It was a labor-intensive undertaking with breaking up the cement, but he and his associate, Trevor, worked diligently, and had the work completed in three days. Steve even helped me file the appropriate insurance information. I felt he was honest , knew what he was doing, and wasn't afraid of the hard work involved. I'm happy with the results.

Did a good job polite on time. Never cheap jobs with plumbers but could have been worse.

We discovered a leak and knew we needed a plumber. Not knowing anyone I searched reviews and chose this company because of their good reviews.

Tyler came out, wearing a mask, and went above and beyond what I had hoped for. He is an asset to this already fine company. I used to have a company of my own and I would surely have been blessed to have an employee like him! He was polite and a great listener and went about figuring out the hidden leak within minutes. He was completely knowledgeable and helpful, above and beyond just getting the job done, and worked quickly and efficiently. When he got done he cleaned the work area!

This company is honest and up front and didn't try to sell anything or any extra services.  I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them.

I had a problem that became an emergency that the company I had used for 10 years could not address for 5 days. I called Z Plumberz and while I knew that they were busy that day, they came out within an hour of when I called and resolved my emergency. Jim fixed the problem and made sure that the job was done right. And even while he was busy that day, Jim was very patient and answered several other plumbing questions that I had. I think that I may have found a new plumbing company.

Did work on our home renovation through a general contractor. GC blamed them for a lot of issues. After separating from GC, continued with First Class for continuity and already pulled permit. Separated back in April due to a lack of timely follow up and closure and supposed closure of business and move to Arizona by Steve due to Covid. Companies' work resulted in a full tub leak down into basement costing approx $700 plus additional corrections on project by licensed plumber. No response after multiple attempted contacts to Steve. Per plumber who resolved, there is no way the work would have passed a plumbing inspection and pressure test. So poor.

Update based on business response: After moving on from GC, we actually paid the amount owed by the general contractor to First Class Plumbing to make them whole instead of sending them back to the GC who had already been paid for their work.  The subsequent PO to finish the work was increased based on additional scope and fully paid.  The business signed off on lien waivers that they were fully paid and provided to the bank for construction loan purposes.  Businesses plumbing permit for the project was allowed to expire and both temporary and final inspection were done by another plumber.  In talking to inspector, he had never heard from this business post rough inspection.  Contract was closed out in April due to lack of activity by the plumbing and suspect work to date. I don't know what temporary sinks and faucets are being referenced as none of that was installed by this company .  We emailed the business at the first sign of leak and were told the business had been closed and Steve had moved to Arizona due to COVID.  Leak was caused by tub seals put in backwards, incorrect and what looked like used parts for the tub and plastic twist fittings suitable for underneath a sink instead a drywall enclosed space without access panel.  We have emailed the business since with no response.  Weird the reference to losing the house.  Hopefully the business can resolve through their warranty process or insurance before this proceeds to a LARA complaint or legal action.

First Class Plumping  installed a tankless water heater and did an amazing job, Next up is a whole house filter, It is great to find a company like First Class plumbing that is  friendly, professional, knowledgeable and have great rates! I would highly recommend them to anyone!!

I am a very picky customer, and with that being the case I had to give Steve, Master Plumber and First Class Plumbing  - five stars.  First off, I moved into a condo and the water heater, that was pretty old and a 75 gallon tank was starting to leak.  

I called another company that was given high ranks on Yelp, but the few complaints I read on them was that they were hard to get a hold of and to get an appointment scheduled.  That was exactly what had happened to me as well.  

I finally did get a quote that was several hundred over First Class Plumbing.  I got a response, a quote and install all within the same day from them.  They were so responsive!!  I hate it when it becomes hard for you to give a vendor your money.  

Also, don't be fooled that all warranty information is the same between companies.  The hard to reach company had a way more minimal warranty than what Steve and First Class Plumbing offered.  

He arrived within 10 minutes of the time he said they would arrive.  They also worked like a well oiled machine, they were diligent.  

What I appreciate too is that the price they quote is the price they charged.  They don't nickel and dime you and they will just be truthful and not BS you.  

I will use Steve again when I have any other issues.  I recommend First Class Plumbing, as they live up to their name!  Bravo Steve!!

My water filtration system filter casing cracked suddenly and made a mess in my basement. I had to turn off my water and I called Steve in a panic. He was able to fit me in even though he was busy and fixed the problem quickly. He's my new hero!

After requesting a quote through yelp, First Class Plumbing offered to come out to my home to give me a quote. Their quote, which was the same as the actual cost, was lower than the other companies that just emailed me a quote based on the plumbing issues I needed fixed.
In addition, Scheduling was easy....which isn't always the case with home fixes, and work was done efficiently.

I first discovered a leak at the water discharge tap on my 10 year water heater last Thursday evening.  Friday morning I called Steve at First Class Plumbing for advice and pricing.  After checking around I concluded his pricing for purchase and installation was very reasonable.  This Monday morning Steve and his assistant showed up on time wearing masks and booties and within 2 hours my new water heater was installed and the old one removed with a minimum of fuss and disruption.  I couldn't be more pleased,

Steve did a great job at our house! We needed an outdoor leaking spigot replaced, outdoor gas line repaired and a leaking shower fixed. He was efficient and very professional! Reasonable pricing as well!

Update regarding installing dishwasher.
My mistake, I had forgot the issue about the brackets.

Back in March, I needed some minor work done to install a new pop-up drain assembly in a bathroom sink.  I reached out to First-Class Plumbing due to their location and Yelp rating.  I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday requesting a quote and received a response within minutes.  I was provided a price for the work, which he indicated was their flat rate for minor repairs.  I added that I also needed a pop-up rod installed in another bathroom sink, and he indicated that they could do that as well.  

I set up an appointment, and Jon came out on time and proceeded to do the work.  Overall, the scheduling was easy, the response time was great, and the quality of work was good.

Eh. They worked at my house but the attention to detail was lacking. Had to call them back several times and they had me go get chalk and because I don't know good from bad chalk I'm looking at yellow chalk now. They need to come prepared not sort of prepared.

Adam installed our new hot water heater in early January. He gave us a fair price, answered all our questions, and did a professional and clean job. Since he was out, I asked him for a quote on replacing all our bathroom sinks and installing all new faucets in the bathrooms as well as the kitchen. He gave us a very fair quote, provided all the sinks, installed the faucets we purchased and did a very thorough job. He will be my go-to plumber from now on. Highly recommend!

Very professional and friendly Plumbers! Had my water heater in with no hiccups, and kept it clean. I liked the fact they were able to accommodate my work schedule and don't charge extra for after 5:00.

Installed an outdoor water spigot for me because I didn't have one. First they searched diligently to make sure there actually wasn't one. Then they did the work for half the cost someone else quoted. Super friendly guy, fast work and the spigot works perfectly. Thank you!

Sent message via Yelp requesting a quote for a broken shut off valve to my shower. Within minutes I received a response from Steve the owner with an estimate and was able to schedule an appointment for the very next day!  They arrived on time, fixed the problem, and charged exactly what they estimated. No hidden fees or last min add on's. I am a stickler for Customer Service, Quality work and Responsiveness. First Class Plumbing exceeded my expectations in All three areas!  Would definitely recommend!

I have used first class plumbing on 2 occasions. They are very professional -explaining what it going to take to fix the problem. And they are reasonably priced. These are my plumbing guys now.

I used them for a simple faucet replacement. Guy I usually use not available. They screwed me over big time by charging 200.00 for half hour work. Not impressed, was ripped off. Glad plumber can afford vacation with my hard earned money. Will not be using again

I had a shower that was dripping, Adam came out within a couple of hours and diagnosed the problem, and left to go pick up the part. After a couple of hours he was back and installed the part.  I told him about a lack of water pressure in my kitchen faucet.  He took the nozzle off of the fixture and removed a little part designed to conserve water, put it back together and the water pressure is where it should be (No extra charge). I am pleased.

I had an issue with my kitchen sink drain that happened on a weekend.  I sent a message through Yelp about cost and timing, and the response was very fast.  The rate quoted was reasonable and it wasn't an extra charge for it being a weekend.  They were able to send someone the next day.  I am happy with the service and will definitely contact them again if I should ever need a plumber in the future.  I definitely recommend this company.

I'm very impressed with the work that First Class Plumbing did at my house. I contacted several plumbing companies via Yelp to replace 2 interior shutoff valves and 1 exterior hose connection. They were very responsive and reasonably priced. Scott took the time to explain all that needed to be done to complete the work and also noted an additional shutoff that will need to be replaced in the near future. Needless to say, this is a company that I will rely on and trust for any and all future plumbing work needed!

Steve did great job to replace the water heater for me. I called him at 8am, and he got the job done by 1pm on the same day. We are very happy with the new water heater.
