Toilet backed up, Andre was responsive and came as soon as he could.  Reasonable price and knowledgeable of issue and what was the cause.  Quick and courteous and will definitely use again.

Steve was very responsive through Yelp and was able to immediately give me good quote. Once hired, he came and did a great job replacing our outdoor water spigot. He was great to work with and I'd definitely recommend him.

Tried to price gouge me last Saturday on a water heater malfunction that they installed 7 months ago. Said I needed a thermocoupler but the pilot tube was actually cracked. I needed a whole new water heater which was warrantied by the manufacturer but I had to have another plumber come out because this plumber left because I wouldn't pay him 400 dollars to install a new thermocoupler. Not professional, safe, or customer service oriented. Note the plumber just called concerning this review. He called my husband a liar and threatened to come over to our house because he only lives a couple blocks away to kick my b@@ch a$$ husband's butt. Very unprofessional and threatening

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I endured a very cold shower yesterday morning.     I just knew that my hot water heater had died.    As a busy single parent I thought, oh no,............one more item on my to do list.   I left my credit card on the stove and left my house unlocked.    On my way to work I dropped my dog off at my sister's house.     I was so hoping that I could find someone to come to my house and replace my hot water tank while I was at work.     The first company that I called would not make a service call if no one was home.    The second call that I made was to Nelson Brothers.     They faxed me a sheet which I filled out with my credit card information and my signature.      I was able to stay at work and not be inconvenienced by running home to let a repair person in.     A gentleman called me when the job was complete.    They did NOT replace my hot water tank.    They repaired my existing tank.   The total bill,..........$112.     I highly recommend Nelson Brothers!!!!!!

I messaged them on yelp got a reply and a next day appointment within 20 minutes. Incredible customer service. When they came out and determined that my issue wouldn't require their services they gave me some advice and insisted I didn't owe them anything for coming out. If I ever need the services they provide in the future they'll be my first phone call. Highly recommend them.

Our kitchen drain deep behind a wall had backed up and was leaking dirty water in our basement.  This was only a week from Thanksgiving which we were hosting.  Needlessly to say we were freaked out.  To make matters worse very few plumbers were available.  We called around and were referred to Brock Mechanical.  They sent Ken  Jackson out to us the same day we called, while other plumbers were telling us they weren't available until after Thanksgiving.  Ken assessed the situation and came up with a elegant solution which avoid tearing up walls right before the big holiday.  As promised he came back two days later and implemented the elegant solution in a matter of a few hours.  He went above and beyond the job he was requested to do, by noticing our kitchen faucet was running slow and cleaned it out as best he could.  They charged us a reasonable amount and I don't have to repair a torn up wall right before Thanksgiving.  I can't recommend Brock Mechanical enough for all plumbing needs.

Update to past review.  Different employee came and we did decide to replace the unit.  New employee was very respectful and did a good job.  Still I would say that follow up from office (no calls ever responded) is poor.  Good technician on site though.

Precision Plumbing repaired an indoor faucet yesterday.  We have used them for our plumbing for over 7 years.  They are always profession, courteous, and their prices are fair.  They do business right!

I am very happy to recommend Birmingham Plumbing, Heating and Cooling based on their excellent work for me. This is my year for many things breaking down. First it was plumbing. Jon Sweet arrived and replaced two faucet sets that had been installed incorrectly years ago, plus he replaced a flushing unit for a toilet. Then Scott (oh no, I forgot his last name) came over on an emergency call to repair an AC unit that some window installers wrecked. Scott took extra time (without charge) to educate me on the workings of my pool plumbing. Now I am awaiting another Birmingham tech to repair my 18 year old furnace.

I like these people. I trust their work and their work ethic. They make sure I understand the work to be done and the cost to do it. And so far, they have sent their best personable people. But I'll bet they just know how to hire quality people.

Don't be fooled by his low prices and the promise that he won't charge if he can't do anything.  He charged me $40 and claimed he opened the sewer 'half-way'.  I was too sick to double-check.  The truth is, he left the back door to my house unlocked, the cap is missing from the clean-out drain, and the clean-out drain has been moved to the center of the room.  I can no longer use any part of my plumbing.  IT'S MUCH WORSE!
Oh, and he was very, very rude.

The short story is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The long story is as follows.

In mid-March, I noticed a leak in one of my bathrooms as well as an issue with the hot water in a different bathroom. After trying a few things myself, I was pressed for time and contacted Anytime Plumbing to come to my house in Southfield. My technician was John G and he seemed to be a pretty nice guy, although I questioned his assessments.  

He started with the hot water issue in the back bathroom. The shower would get warm-ish at best. There would be one burst of hot water and then showering would be absolutely miserable.
John decided that a part had gone bad inside the on-off/warm-cold handle in my shower. He didn't have the part, so he went somewhere to get it, came back, and installed it. No hot water. His assessment was that I needed a new hot water heater because my current hot water heater runs out of water fast. That's a quote from my receipt. I had an instant hot water heater. There was no reservoir full of water to run out. Still, I agreed that the water heater was failing. My belief all along was that the water heater needed replacing, but John wanted to try this other part. He tried and it didn't work. That happens sometimes, so we went to the next issue.

Moving on to the leaking bathroom. John came in and decided he knew the leak was coming from a knob on my old jacuzzi tub that controlled the jets. Now, this knob was located in an area that was hit by water when both the bath spout and the shower head were on. However, the leak happened only when the shower head was on. I addressed this concern with John--why would this be the leaking area when two sources of water hit it and only one led to leaking? His idea was that the water pressure was harder from the shower head than from the spout. I disagreed, but I let him do his thing because he's the plumber and I'm not. Anyway, based on the location of the knob, he had to cut a hole in the bedroom wall on the other side of the tub for access. Not a big deal to me. He needed to be able to visualize the plumbing. So he started chiseling at my wall and then decided he didn't like that location. Then he measured the area he wanted to cut and marked it all out with a pencil (I will clean this off the wall when I'm done, he said). He cut a 7x7 hole in my wall and believed he identified the leak. He put some lock-tight around the knob, slapped an access panel in the hole, and called the job complete. We couldn't confirm the leak was resolved for 24 hours because it needed time to set.

Guess what the charge was--$425. Yup, I paid $425 to have a new access panel cut into my wall, a $95 part replaced that didn't need replacing, and some lock-tight squeezed around a knob. Not to mention the access panel wall also had a nice quarter-sized hole randomly in the middle where he initially started chiseling as well as pencil marks everywhere like a toddler had been playing. John G never did clean it off as he said he would and now I have drywall work to do. I also paid for the part for the shower that I didn't need and the time it took him to go get the part [that I didn't need]. Had I known I'd be paying for the part even if it didn't work OR the time it took him to drive and get it, I never would have let him do it. When I inspected the shower as he left, the part was actually installed incorrectly--so you couldn't even adjust the heat to the hotter setting! It was on the coldest setting when he tested to see if the new part brought hotter water! Worse yet, the leak continued 24 hours later when I tested it. John G did say I could call and have him come back if it continued to leak, but there was no way I was letting him back into my house. So, for $425 to address a leak and cold water, I was left with a leak and cold water.

On a positive note, John G did quote me $1,100 for a new hot water heater installation. That's a fair price. Still, $425 is nearly half that and this company was not getting any further business from me. They shouldn't get yours either.

Our technician, Columbus, came to our house on 12/6 to repair a re-occurring back-up in our main sewer line. He was so good at explaining to us what was going on under our house, even with pictures, so that we fully understood what the problem was.  He answered all of our questions and made a solid recommendation on how to fix the problem from happening again.  Since we are in the process of finishing our basement, and days away from installing the floors, we were naturally very concerned with this happening again. With a camera, Columbus showed me the inside of our pipes all the way out to the city lines, so we had comfort knowing the problem had been resolved, not just temporarily.  Aside from knowledgeable, Columbus was such a kind and personable man, who really perked us up after a very overwhelming day.

No star rating. Below zero. The plumber who came out, had a join a feature to give us services for 20 percent off, sprinklers, with a charge of 140.00 , then blatently lied how he wrote 2 bills out with explaination of signing us up. Obviously a total lie, since we don't have sprinklers. Then gave a wait time of 1 month until piece for kitchen sink showed up. That means no water use through Thanksgiving. Called another company, who provided whole new sink option at much less price. The stupidity is bad enough. But the lying is unacceptable. We have put up notice to all 6 condo communities in area. Please never use them!,  Was fixed in 24 hours!,,

Seriously over priced. I called to get a ceiling fixture added to a room with no fixture. I realize that's a major job, but their estimate was twice what I  got from another company. And they charge for estimates. The technician was nice enough, but they're too rich for my blood.

Jim has done a half dozen jobs at my house over the last 25 years or so, both plumbing and A/C work. I have never had a issue with any of his work, or  charges. Guess that's why I keep going back. Local,fair, and quality workmanship.
