Best Drain Installation in Detroit MI

I had an issue in my new home with the kitchen faucet snapping off and kitchen drain being connected wrong. Andre came out from East Plumbing and completed the job same day in just a few hours. I would work with Andre and East Plumbing again, but have to be sure to clearly communicate the price for the entire job in the beginning before starting the job. One number was given and then ended with a different number. I had no problem paying the final price because the quality of work was good and  completed up to code. Thank you again Andre!

These folks are great. Kyle V and Chip showed up on time and quickly figured out where the water was leaking from. They fixed the problem quickly and cleaned up afterwards. They were very professional and explained everything. And the price was lower than I expected. I highly recommend them.

Actually the second time I've had them out (2 separate issues) -- both times they were prompt, polite, cleaned up so nicely, great work and reasonably priced.

Update:  had another plumber out since these guys only wanted to hydro our our line and refused to camera our line bc they said it was 100% sludged up.  This guy put the camera down our line from this new company and found the problem and can now fix our issue.  We had no sludge in our line and have a badly pitched pipe. Which really sucks but at least we now know the problem.

They didn't fix our problem.  After being here they then Wanted to hydro our line for an additional $1000.00. They didn't bring enough snake so they had to go all the way back to the shop.  So then They wanted to charge another $150.00 bc they had to go back to the shop.  That's not my fault they didn't bring the right tools.  Then when I disputed the amount the gentlemen capped the owner said I had an issue and overheard him say just get your money and get the fuck out of there.  I was told $185.00.  If you are charging more than that it should be discussed.

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I called Nelson Brothers this morning because a pipe had burst in the basement due to the cold weather.  I called when they first opened (8am) and the man who picked up said they would send someone out that afternoon.  

The tech came out later that afternoon as promised and fixed the broken pipe in about 45 minutes.  He was very polite and answered any questions I had.  

The price was reasonable and it looks like I have a new go to spot for my plumbing needs.

I called Dixie Plumbing at 3:15am when I woke up to a flooded basement, like many others in the Dearborn area.  They were the only 24 hour plumber I called that actually answered the phone at that time and they had a plumber out to my house within a few hours to clear the basement drains and get the water to recede.  He was very professional and efficient.  This company was literal angels in the midst of a horrible situation.  I would totally recommend!

In my case, same-day service. On-time, respectful and responsive. Can pay via debit/credit cards. Wants to beat the competition! I needed a diagnosis before they started work. Estimate price was lowest given through Yelp!

I called about my clogged toilet on a Thursday afternoon, the next morning Ken came out to take a look at it. He was very friendly and very professional. He fixed my toilet with no problem. Told me to look at it, and kept flushing it to make sure the pipes and toilet was clear of any foreign objects, and working properly. The price was very reasonable. Thank you so much for all of your help. I will definitely use this company again, and refer to my neighbors and friends.

Commercial grade disposal stopped working and I called Birmingham plumbing. They came recommended. What a joke!

Basically, a 30 minute diagnostic check cost $205 and the thing still isn't working. He quoted me $450-500 if he had to work on it. The service guy didn't even remove the unit to check it....in fact, he never took a tool out. Sat and watched it from above. Blamed the issue on something so ridiculous, it made no sense. That's what $205 got me. What would $450 get me?

He did quote me $5,000 on a new unit. Really? No closer to resolving the issue, wasted my time, money and he had no intentions of doing anything further than come up with an excuse so he could leave.
I guess Birmingham Plumbing charges Birmingham prices. Hey guys, what about customer service and doing what your supposed to do....WORK!

Came right out on a Saturday when I called. Was able to get a job completed right before a Holiday. Stephen was professional, courteous and prompt. I appreciated doing business with him. Definitely recommend.

My only criticism it that they wanted $400 to install a dishwasher....no thanks.
Installed it our selves, took  a couple hours...but we saved $400

In fairness I think they do good work and they have a right to charge whatever they want..... but IMO way over-priced....

I would give zero stars they got mad when I refused to pay 1200 to sanitize my laundry room floor so the plumber that arrived before the cleaning crew decided he no longer wanted to find the leak in my home very unprofessional and rude once he decided he didn't want to take on the job

Don't be fooled by his low prices and the promise that he won't charge if he can't do anything.  He charged me $40 and claimed he opened the sewer 'half-way'.  I was too sick to double-check.  The truth is, he left the back door to my house unlocked, the cap is missing from the clean-out drain, and the clean-out drain has been moved to the center of the room.  I can no longer use any part of my plumbing.  IT'S MUCH WORSE!
Oh, and he was very, very rude.

About 2 months ago, we had our hot water heater go out and we were heading out on vacation two days later.  The plumbing company we had in the past could not come out so I called these guys as I had seen their trucks in the neighborhood as they said they'd be able to help me out quickly.

They send a plumber whom looked at the hot water tank and quoted me a price that was nearly double than what I ended up paying as it included an extended warranty....evidently they make you buy this?  Since the guy was already here, he asked if we had any other plumbing issues as they were having a special, pay $179 and you get some basic plumbing work done plus service for a year which includes a home plumbing inspection, plus heating and cooling.  He replaced my fill value for a toilet....it doesn't work great now as it appears they use the cheapest parts available.

So then I schedule the heating and cooling inspection...sit around home all day on a Saturday waiting.  Yes they kept calling with updates, but ended up with an emergency and couldn't make it.  Okay, I get it....the first time.

Today, I had scheduled the plumbing inspection.  They called first thing in the morning and said a plumber would be here sometime in the afternoon; they'd call with an update.  They call at 1 pm saying it would be later in the day.  Then I get a call at 4:30 saying the emergency they had today took too long and can't make it.

Done, done and done.  Owner, if you want me to take this review down refund the money I paid for the service I am not getting.  The $179 annual service is not worth it; you can't please me, just have me go away quietly.

If they'd just serviced our furnace like we called them out to do, I'd give them five stars. However, we had a 2.5-year-old furnace installed by another company, which had no appointments for a month, so my husband called Hoover to come out, because they were available the following week (something like that).
Hoover showed up, did the inspection/service and told my husband our 2.5-year-old furnace was the wrong size for the house. If we were lucky it might hang on a few years.
As I was leaving work my husband called with the bad news. I put the phone on speaker and let him talk. He gave an explanation, then said our current furnace might last a year or two.
By the time I got home I was a bit fried, said give us a quote in case we do decide to replace the thing. In the meantime I would contact the original company and have them take a look. Before we left the Hoover guy told us his estimate for new furnaces (he gave several options) were good for 30 days, and we might be lucky and the existing furnace could last the winter. He also said prices might go up in the new year, so that was something to keep in mind.
With covid and labor and supply shortages it sounded plausible. But we were tired and a bit shellshocked.
I did some research, asking around. Everyone seemed to indicate the furnace we had was the right size for our home.
I called the original installer and had them came out. They ran some diagnostics and did a small patch job which should fix the error reading that came up. They also reminded us the furnace itself is still under warranty (even though the labor warranty had expired).
I don't know if the guy from Hoover was working under commission or if he was new and made some mistake in calculations. That he kept shortening the potential lifespan of our furnace was a red flag, however.

Never rent any equipment from RELIANCE. They will install it one day, but good luck with removing. They never want to remove it. I have water heater which was used by the previous landlord. Its old and its not economical. I wanted to remove it, I was given the option to drop of. Other options are very expensive. I was given an account number and when I went there to drop off, they didn't accept it saying that the account is not in my name. ACCORDING TO THEM, IT NEEDS TO BE TRANSFERRED TO MY NAME SO THAT I CAN REMOVE IT. $35 FOR NEW ACCOUNT. I SAID ITS FINE. PLEASE GO AHEAD AND CHANGE IT IN MY NAME. This happened on may 17th-2022 since then i have been talking to customer service, billing department, removal department and every department with reliance. They will ask all the information like address, first name, last name, post code and once they realise that you want to remove the water tank, they will keep on transferring the call to one department to another department. Every day, i have to spend at least 2 hours on phone over them. It is not yet rectified even now. My suggestion to users who rent the equipment from reliance is IF  YOU HAVE DECIDED TO MOVE OUT FROM THEM, PLEASE RESIGN YOUR JOB FIRST, SO THAT YOU CAN AT LEAST SPEND 2-3 HOURS TALKING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, EXPLAINING YOUR SITUATION TO EACH AND EVERY AGENT AND SPELLING YOUR FIRST NAME AND LAST NAME TO EACH AND EVERY ONE. THEN GOOD LUCK!
