Our experience with Kevin was great. Could not have asked for anything better. Very professional. Kevin was also very flexible as we changed our original schedule due to a conflict and he adjusted with no issues. He fixed all our issues. We had a leaking toilet and 2 faucets that had broken components. All resolved on-time and the cost was reasonable.

Alex was great to work with. Fixed some electrical problems quickly and for a fair price. Would use him again.

My friend's dad, a naval captain, says There's only 5 minutes between half a$$ and first class. I chose J's because they have an A+ rating from the BBB. They lived up to their rating. The receptionist told me I'd get a call from the plumber on Wednesday. True to her word, Zach called me Wednesday at 0820, arrived shortly after, and thoroughly completed 4 projects. He went above and beyond by CLEANING UP AFTER HIMSELF and putting my belongings back after moving them. THAT was impressive in and of itself. My bath tub is fully functional, my toilet no longer runs, and no more leaky sink under my new sink. Grateful for the good service. I highly recommend J's Plumbing. They're FIRST CLASS!

Met January 6 and agreed on $3,500 to rough in 2 pedicure chairs and 2 sinks on a commercial property with a crawl space. Offered to pay up front or half, Tony Smith said it would be on completion. Seemed super on his game from day 1 constantly conferencing everyone in on phone calls, extremely impressed to say the least in the beginning. Was bragging and vouching for him when the subject of the nail salon came up. Unfortunately with higher expectation comes a greater fall. Agreed on a price and took until January 14 to get a quote. In the quote and per conversations, as a licensed plumber he would apply for the permit from Gaston County before we started. Called a few times in between and texted, no response. Other than a personal pet peeve to be ignored it's completely unprofessional. It takes about 2 weeks for Gastonia to approve a permit so I'm thinking any day now, and setting up next steps to work on the property and when to order the $70,000 of material to put in the salon. Come to find out today, February 1, Tony Smith never even applied for a permit. Nearly a month later and wasted. Not sure what the issue was. We were happy to pay $3,500 considering it's pennies compared to the overall investment. Will make a point to not recommend and not use for any future business.
UPDATE 2/15/21: Contacted ACC Plumbing and Backflow....pulled permit the same day, never missed a phone call or text. Roughed in 2 pedicure chairs, 1 sink, replaced rusted pipe as well as pass inspection in about 4 days. Cost me $4,900 BUT GOT THE JOB DONE!

I have used Giles twice and recently today. I believe this is a class company. I was at the mercy of the plumber, Brian Cope, he could have put extra charges on my bill but told me part of the things that he thought were bad with my water heater were in fact OK. Brian was on time, fast, and very polite. Its nice to find and use a honest business.

I was referred to this guy by a home improvement website. He called me on October 28 and said he could come by that day for a free estimate. When he got there, he gave me the quote to replace the faucet and asked for half the money up front. He left to go purchase the faucet and of course, he sent me a text that the faucet wasn't in stock and had to be ordered. I told him it was ok to order the faucet because he said it would be there either Monday or Tuesday. I asked him for a copy of the receipt but never got it. He told me to text him next week and he would work around my schedule. I texted him that Wednesday November 3 to let him know I would be available on Friday morning and he sent me a text stating that his partner had been murdered over the weekend and that he was dealing with it. I offered my condolences and told him if it would make it easier for him I would just go purchase a faucet that was in stock and he could come and install it but he said he would go to Lowes to see if the faucet had come in. Lowes usually sends an email whenever orders arrive so this further confirmed my suspicion that he probably never purchased it. So then I get a text from him Thursday 11/4 saying the faucet came in and he would come by Friday morning and when he was on his way, he'd send a text. So of course, Friday morning came and went and I never heard from him so I reached out that evening and asked for my money back. He texts me back some excuse that he had to test for COVID and was wanting some answers before he came by or contacted me. I waited patiently a few more days and finally asked him again for my refund but he said he didn't have any money but would have it the next day, and of course the next day he still didn't send the money. If It will help someone else from being scammed, the guy I dealt with goes by Dean Burns and uses the company name Affordable Plumbing.

I had a clogged kitchen sink and called Lake Norman Plumber on Call...Miss Shelly was awesome to deal with. She took my info and scheduled me right away. Matt showed 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time and went out of his way to fix my problem. Even said there would be no charge if he couldn't unclog the drain. Price was very reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone.

Called these folks to repair items from a house inspection report on a house we're selling . Responsive, professional, punctual and reasonable quote. Will definitely use them again and would highly recommend to a neighbor.

On Saturday April the 6th I discovered a busted pipe and had to cut my water off. I called Williams and Son that was on Home Advisors and asked them if they could come out. They showed up right after I texted them that it was getting late and probably too dark to repair that time of night. They fixed the first pipe and when they turned the water on discovered there were two additional leaks. They wanted $25 more dollars to fix the two additional leaks bringing the total to $275. He said he stands behind his work and would guarantee his work for two years. He said wait 30 minutes and turn back on. On Sunday morning we turned the water on to discover the two leaks were still leaking. I texted them letting them know the two leaks were not fixed and we still did not have water and didn't get a response. I called them Monday evening asking them when would they be back. He stated he was very busy and would try to get back Thursday and also said it is probably two different leaks instead of the leaks they fixed. I texted him on the 10th and stated I had paid him $275 and still did not have water and how would he feel if this was his family? He said he was coming at lunch time on Thursday at lunch time. They finally showed up at 7:30 at night and stated these were not the leaks they had fixed. I pointed to the new part they put on that was still leaking. I also said I just paid them for that, (the new part)so how could it be a different leak? He said he wasn't arguing with me and do what I had to do because he wasn't fixing and got in his truck and left. If they take your money and don't fix your problem and you have to beg them to come back out and they still lie and will not fix the issue, that tells you what type person you are dealing with. Will never hire again.

Uh...charging me 100.00 to fix a hole in the wall he charged me to make in order to troubleshoot a leak? The hole was about 14 inches square and could have been just 3 inches square. Another 65.00 to mount a shower rod...jeezus no! Also wants to charge an extra 2% just for using a debit card....Uh...Uh!

To say I felt cheated by this company was an understatement...
I scheduled a service call to fix my tankless water heater that was no longer providing hot water consistently. They scheduled a technician who specialized in tankless water heaters to arrive to my home on Thursday the 10th with a two hour window. I scheduled a vacation day away from work to get hot water restored to our home. Unfortunately, the technician never showed up and I didn't even receive a courtesy phone call from IRV to let me know that the tech would not be coming. I called several hours past the missed appointment window and they dispatched another tech however he wouldn't arrive until after 5pm. The technician that arrived did not know much about tankless water heaters and was not prepared to work in it. It was as if they just sent someone to show face as they missed the appointment already. He simply asked me if I had cleaned it since it was installed which I answered no. His diagnosis was that the unit needed to be cleaned first before doing any further work and he proceeded to charge me $157 for the diagnosis and said that I would have to schedule another day to get the unit cleaned. This one question could have been asked when I called in for the appointment. This is also a simple 45 minute fix which I would have expected to be preformed while he was here at my property.
Two days following I finally received the quote for the cleaning which was $530. This put the total cost of the cleaning at $692!!! The cleaning only requires a $15 descaler solution that is pumped through the flush valves of the unit for half hour. In addition, two small filters are cleaned (air and water) which take two minutes each. From start to finish this repair only took me 45 minutes to do myself. With a fully burdened labor cost of roughly $60-75 an hour and $15 of material cost (descaler solution) I felt like this company was taking advantage of the home owner. I am in the construction business and am fully aware on the total burdened cost for an employee in the service arena. This was essentially a 700% markup over the companies cost. I understand companies have markups and need to make profit however this was beyond excessive. Buyer beware, avoid this company at all cost as they will try to rip you off for such an easy fix!
