Met January 6 and agreed on $3,500 to rough in 2 pedicure chairs and 2 sinks on a commercial property with a crawl space. Offered to pay up front or half, Tony Smith said it would be on completion. Seemed super on his game from day 1 constantly conferencing everyone in on phone calls, extremely impressed to say the least in the beginning. Was bragging and vouching for him when the subject of the nail salon came up. Unfortunately with higher expectation comes a greater fall. Agreed on a price and took until January 14 to get a quote. In the quote and per conversations, as a licensed plumber he would apply for the permit from Gaston County before we started. Called a few times in between and texted, no response. Other than a personal pet peeve to be ignored it's completely unprofessional. It takes about 2 weeks for Gastonia to approve a permit so I'm thinking any day now, and setting up next steps to work on the property and when to order the $70,000 of material to put in the salon. Come to find out today, February 1, Tony Smith never even applied for a permit. Nearly a month later and wasted. Not sure what the issue was. We were happy to pay $3,500 considering it's pennies compared to the overall investment. Will make a point to not recommend and not use for any future business.
UPDATE 2/15/21: Contacted ACC Plumbing and Backflow....pulled permit the same day, never missed a phone call or text. Roughed in 2 pedicure chairs, 1 sink, replaced rusted pipe as well as pass inspection in about 4 days. Cost me $4,900 BUT GOT THE JOB DONE!
