Best Pipe Repair in Boston MA
We had a leaking water heater which needed replacing. Donna promptly scheduled an inspection (no charge), Kevin came when he said he would, and two days later Kumar and Mike came by, figured out how to drain the old heater (complicated because we have no bulkhead), installed a new one, and explained how everything worked. On the way out, after we had paid them, they noticed that our furnace pipes were missing filters/meshes to keep critters out. They then got hold of a ladder, found extra filters and mesh in their truck, installed these, and only then left. They were also really nice guys. Excellent service, no complaints at all. I'd recommend them highly.

Angel came to the rescue with a leaking disposal. Would absolutely recommend his company! He was great/flexible at scheduling, arriving in hours of the first call. He is really good at communication, responding to texts quickly and in person describing exactly what is going on. Above all he was very thoughtful about how to approach the job. Not only did he replace the mount for the dishwasher, but he secured water lines, tidied up hoses, and bundled the cords too, so the undersink space was much better than it was at the start of the job.
This was not a simple job, he came back to finish the it when the sink fell out (the original countertop installers only bothered to put in two mounting clips on this big sink, yikes), and he recommended a good professional who came out to fix it on a Saturday.

We LOVE you guys!!! Our family has relied on Mitch and Tommy (and Jodi!) for at least 15 years now. They are unbelievably responsive, honest, and do amazing work. And such lovely people. Mitch once spent hours and hours at our house in the middle of a MAJOR blizzard, right before Christmas, as our failing burner began spewing carbon monoxide. He dealt with the gas company, the shutdown, and all the other attendant issues while I scrambled to find temporary housing. He miraculously managed to find us a brand new furnace that arrived within days. (Just try to get a burner installed over the holidays when the region is at a standstill due to feet of snow!). We moved back home Christmas eve, barely missed a beat, and our young children had the holiday they had expected. Years later, still grateful.
My dad used to say that one of the most valuable things as a homeowner is having a great plumber. Well, we do, and would recommend Consolidated to anyone in the Metrowest area.

Andrew quickly responded to my request online. Scheduling a site visit was easy. Once on-site, he swiftly diagnosed the problem was an outdated toilet, and gave great recs on buying a new one. With a new toilet purchased, he installed it in under an hour. Thanks for making this process straightforward and painless.

Fantastic service and PRICING! Came right out and took care of our shower in short time for short money.

Frank is an extremely competent and trustworthy master plumber. We live in Arlington, MA and he is our go-to guy. He installed our water heater, which turned out to be a complex job, and recently our Bosch dishwasher. In addition, he has fixed our bathroom plumbing issues. He is friendly, prompt and hard working. It is very difficult to find a good plumber in the Boston area. We had some dicey experiences before finding Frank and we could not be happier.

Had a problem with upstairs toilet. Called 4 people, couldn't get anyone here within a week. Call Mass Plumbing and Heating, Welter came within 3 hours. Welter was respectful of current Covid issues, he was efficient, cleaned everything up, and in general...a nice guy to have working in the house. Highly recommend! Barbara C.

I needed to get my tub snaked out and a replacement shower head installed. When I called Charlie, we had the appointment set up in just a few minutes. On the day of the appointment, Charlie actually showed up early, got his stuff ready and was ringing the door bell right on time. The best part of all of this, is that he was done very quickly, no muss no fuss, no problem. And he wore a belt!!! :)

They responded to the Request a Quote feature on yelp in a matter of minutes. Came by and quickly fixed the problem the same day.
Would definitely use them again!

I called T-flow on Tuesday and spoke with Matt about fixing a simple Symmons shower diverter in our rental house that was causing water to leak into the basement. He was able to come out the same day after I organized with the tenants and fix it on the spot. It was so much better than the runaround that our previous plumber was giving us... Previous plumber told us it could be $600-700 just for the part and they couldn't be out until Tuesday. T-flow fixed it as promised/expected and at the price we expected (half of the other quote). Matt was super responsive and always answered his phone. Thanks T-flow!!!!!

My house has a bathroom with an ejector pump that stopped working. Wayne's Drains technician said the pump needed to be replaced, estimated cost something like $1000-1500 depending on the pump I choose. I called my plumber for a second opinion, he said there was nothing wrong with the pump. He snaked the line and the pump started working again. So obviously Wayne's Drains lied about what was wrong.
Billy at Wayne's Drains said he would reimburse me for the money I paid to Wayne's Drains if I show him a copy of the invoice from the plumber. I sent that to him. Had to follow up several times to find out where is my refund check. Then I finally received something in the mail and it turned out to be a copy of some invoice and not a refund check.
I contacted Billy again and he said oh I will tell my accounting department and they will send a check today .... So far no check.
Wayne's Drains used to be a reliable company but this time they lied to me and they have had the use of my hard earned money for something like three months now.
Do not hire Wayne's Drains. I will update this review if I receive a refund.
Update Sept 29 2031: it took 2 1/2 months, several phone calls and many emails and finally I received a reimbursement yesterday. You decide.

We are extremely happy with the service from Bushi plumbing! Rinato was very professional and thorough. He arrived exactly when he said that he would, repaired our water heater & serviced our furnace, and then took the time to answer all our questions. We will definitely call him for our future plumbing and heating needs.

Very happy with these guys. The owner, Leo, was quick in getting back to me this fateful morning, when we found the basement flooded with raw sewage--on a Sunday, of course. Communication was excellent: he told me he'd have somebody to my house in 2-3 hours. When some other emergency called his technician away, Leo called back immediately to let me know but told me I'd be the next priority, and I was.
They're not the cheapest, but I decided to go with them because I was worried about the age of my sewer pipe (my house is over 100 years old), and Z Plumberz is one of the few companies that have the latest technology to deal with old, damaged pipes.
When looking for help, I had read a horror story told in a review on another local plumber who damaged a sewer pipe while snaking it. Their insurance company refused to pay. The bad plumber apparently hadn't used a camera to assess the condition of the pipe to ascertain whether it was already damaged. So sue me, he told the person, who had to spend $10K on repairs.
I shared my concerns about that with Leo at Z Plumberz, and he told me that they wouldn't snake without first using the camera to make sure the pipes were in good enough condition. What if they aren't? I asked him. He told me that his company has a way out of that problem: they use what's called trenchless sewer line repair, which is utterly awesome: it's a repair method that allows plumbers to repair your pipes underground, negating the need to dig out an entire trench. Absolutely do google that term - trenchless sewer pipe repair - if you have sewer pipe issues in an old house. Do be careful, though: one drain expert told us that a crooked plumber out of Saugus has been offering this type of service (it's pretty newfangled, and only about 3 plumbers in the area offer it, we were told) but was charging people the cost of photographing their pipes, claiming to show them images of clear pipes, but in actuality those were old photos of somebody else's pipes and hadn't done the work at all. He was convicted, we were told, but he's used 3 different business names, all based out of Saugus (sorry, legitimate Saugus plumbing/sewer pros!), so it wouldn't be surprising if he popped up again doing the same thing.
At any rate, my situation wasn't that dire. The problem wasn't with the pipe outside the house. Rather, My tenants or somebody else had flushed wipes - that horribly common cause of drain blockage. They got stuck in the drain trap, and the drain backed up. It was straightforward to fix, took an hour, and the cost was $290.
The technician who came - I think his name was Auden, perhaps - was equally professional as Leo, communicated really well, and was very informative. He did a lovely job cleaning up with his shop vac, though of course we had to get down there with a whole lot of bleach afterward, so that was our Sunday.
I'd highly recommend Z Plumberz. I would have also been happy with John's Sewer, I think. They sent somebody in a really timely manner to suss out the situation, and he was great. The only reason I chose Z Plumberz was because of their ability to do trenchless repair if needed: a technology that even the John's Sewer tech said was cutting edge and top-notch.

I made an appointment with MacCo for the annual servicing of my ac and heating units. The person who answered the phone, Victor, explained that the price was the same as the previous year, but if I chose to pay by credit card there would be a 5% surcharge. I was told that I could choose to pay by cash or check instead to avoid the 5% surcharge. I was also told by Victor that he would confirm the appointment by phone the day before. On the day of the appointment, I never heard from Victor so I called the office to confirm. Victor was rather snippy and claimed he called me the day before, but my phone was busy. He could've emailed me, texted me or tried calling again, but he did none of those things. Also, he said if I looked out my window I would see the plumber's truck in the parking lot. Guess what? My condo is in the back and doesn't face the parking lot! In any event, the servicing of my ac and heating units was done satisfactorily and the plumber was far more pleasant than Victor. I'm not sure if Victor was having a bad day or if he's always confrontational with customers when things don't go smoothly, but the fact is, when anyone works in a customer facing role, they need to act politely and professionally at all times.

Response time was fantastic, and it was very easy to set up our appointment to get a new sink installed and a leaky toilet fixed. Jim arrived not just on time, but a little bit early, and he worked diligently until the job was complete. Friendly service, too. Everything looks great, and we are very pleased with how it all turned out. Would definitely recommend Pescatore Mechanical Contractors to others!

Mike has a very charming personality that wins you over, he leaves making you think - wow what a nice and honest man but then you realize that is all a facade. I asked him to come over to look at some corroded pipes. he said nothing was leaking so there was no problem. I told him our disposal wasnt working and that I wasnt sure if I needed to fix it since I dont use it, he said Oh its easy I said Ok.... He never told me Oh its easy, it will cost you $160 because I spent 1 minute of my time.
I have never interacted with a person who deceived me like this. He should have been upfront about the cost - and then I would not think this way. I dont trust him in my home and would advise you not to trust him in yours.
