Best Pipe Installation in Boston MA
I'm going to start with all of the positives, and there are many:
I first met with Kevin, who was extremely professional and courteous. I liked dealing with him, and he was pretty prompt with getting back to me. Communication is important and these guys know it! The guys he sent over, Josh and Bill, were also courteous and professional. Their task was to replace a cast iron drain and vent stack with new PVC, since the old drain was leaking. They had to disassemble a lazy Susan in my kitchen cabinet to access a particular pipe, but at the end of the job, it was fully reassembled like nobody had ever been in there. They kept wall cutting to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves, at least in my condo. So far so good.
Now for a couple of the downsides. Immediately below the joints of the new PVC piping, on the floor of my basement, is caked on pipe epoxy. It is unsightly and does not appear to be easily removable. Some are just blotches. Some are thin lines of it 8-10 inches long across the floor. This is apart from the water stains from the original pipe leak. I can take pictures as needed. It appears that Josh and Bill may have not used a drop cloth when they were working in the basement.
Also the $1895 estimate given to me at the start of the project was basically exactly what the final invoice was. This is a positive, but I expected a more detailed breakdown of the exact cost of what I paid for. There was only one line item on the invoice with a simple description of the job and the total cost. At minimum, I expect a labor breakdown, including an hourly rate, and a list of parts and their costs. I did some prep work on their behalf, which included carefully removing built-in shelves (for later reassembly) and cutting exploratory holes to precisely locate the questionable pipe and any adjacent electrical wiring, so that they could gain access to the necessary areas without the additional labor of doing that themselves. But that seemed to have no downward impact on the final invoice despite giving them at least an hour head start on the job.
Overall, I'm still pleased, and hope to give them another star in the near future if they can somehow address these issues. I still consider them my go-to plumbing service, but they need to take cleanup measures in all areas they work, not just livable spaces.

I can't say enough about how thorough and talented Angel is. He's gone above and beyond to make sure our work was done right and that we were totally satisfied.

I can't say enough about these guys. I had a broken garbage disposal and running toilet. After getting stiffed by another plumber closer to my house, I called Consolidated on a Friday afternoon. They immediately sent someone over and it was fixed within the hour. Incredibly responsive and professional. Love these guys.

These guys were fast to respond, were clean, and had fair pricing. Highly recommended.

I called Frank based on positive Yelp reviews, but had a completely different experience. He is a nice guy, but I'm sorry to say he is not very competent. He had difficulty figuring out which parts to use to replace part of a faucet, and I literally had to stand next to him, looking at parts and helping him in order to get the job done (and I am not particularly handy). I don't like to give a negative review, but I could not recommend him to anyone seeking a competent plumber.

Casper really how to me again when I needed it!! I'm so happy that they are reasonable, prompt, dependable, knowledgeable, and somebody you could really trust and feel good about.
Select them if you don't want to second-guess your choice for plumber. I'm really glad I found them and you will be too!

While we were away on vacation, we learned that we had a backup of sewage in our downstairs shower. We contacted Wayne's Drains on a referral from Villandrey Contracting and arranged for them to come first thing when we got back. They arrived as planned, and solved our problem quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, in the process of bringing the equipment into the narrow downstairs bathroom, the technician caused some door and wall damage. We took pictures and called the office, and they offered a refund, and we eventually negotiated a partial payment to cover the repairs. They took responsibility without prompting and sent us a check. Kudos on all fronts.

We've had a problem toilet over the past few years - increasingly slow on the flush - with some pretty unpleasant back ups. Our DIY efforts to unclog were frustratingly unproductive. Finally reached out to Z PLUMERZ on Yelp - on a Sunday afternoon, no less - and got a response within 10 minutes. They fit me into their Monday schedule. Great communication around the scheduling and confirmations. Shane showed up in the colorful Z PLUMBERS truck - he was a delightful person - professional, respectful of the house (he even put on booties before walking in) - and within 15 minutes, he'd assessed the situation, given me an estimate - pulled the equipment he needed from the truck - unclogged the obstruction (yep, he found it!) - and was off after a very efficient wrap up/payment. Set us back all of $99 bucks. As I told him, You hit the Easy Button for us! I'm still a little in shock that it really was that easy - and relatively inexpensive. Now I'm wondering - why did we wait so long to take care of this!? Thank you Z PLUMBERZ!

Toilet flooded middle of the day and Christopher was extremely quick to respond and show up for the job. He was very responsive and showed a genuine care for his customers.

When our water heater broke, they responded quickly and came on the same day. Welter was super nice and explained everything what was wrong and how to fix if the same thing happens next time. He never pushed / forced to buy or replace anything and gave us some options. We had a great experience with them and definitely we will use them whenever we need! Highly highly recommend!!!

we had an oil burner service company for 20 years and the owner retired a few years ago. we thought we would never find that level of service again. we decided to convert to natural gas, and we used mainstream mechanical. we also installed a whole house generator. these guys do great work, are professional, and know their stuff! we are always assured that no matter what time of the year, day or night, if we have a problem they are there! we highly recommend mainstream. We had a clogged bathtub drain and coincidentally saw a T-Flow van parked right outside our building so we gave them a call. We were told that the team working across the street from us could come right over after completing their current job. This was great because the other companies we'd tried reaching out to were all booked since it was the first day after the holidays. The team that came over was super professional, knowledgeable, and fixed our issue very quickly. They even laid down a cloth to walk on and cleaned up after themselves so you couldn't tell we'd just had repairs done at all. We would definitely do business with them again and recommend to others.

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

I had a flood from my AC unit. MacCO had serviced my unit for several years and then found out they did not actually service my unit- which resulted in permanent damage and a cracked drain pan. The flood seeped through my wall and into the hall and damaged my hardwood floors. When I called them, they were rude and unpleasant. Probably because I am a female. When I asked the person they sent out, what should I do, the reply was not my problem, they were not help at all. I had two other companies look at my unit, they both said same thing. When MacCo replaced the coil, the person just dropped it in, never secured it, which resulted in the drain pan cracking and the resulting flood. I have since spoken with other people in my building, they all say the same things - MacCo service people are rude and do not care and take advantage of people who do not understand their AC systems.

Response time was fantastic, and it was very easy to set up our appointment to get a new sink installed and a leaky toilet fixed. Jim arrived not just on time, but a little bit early, and he worked diligently until the job was complete. Friendly service, too. Everything looks great, and we are very pleased with how it all turned out. Would definitely recommend Pescatore Mechanical Contractors to others!

Mike, has done a number of jobs for us over the last year. Excellent communication and top notch plumbing. Highly recommended.

Unreliable and late for scheduled appointment, then didn't end up solving the issue. I went with another company instead to get my issue resolved because this company is incompetent. Do not use them!

I used Crescent Plumbing when our furnace wouldn't start on a Friday afternoon. They sent someone on Saturday morning-very responsive but expensive. For a weekend visit plan to pay $245 minimum. In our case the plumber had to install another thermostat (that we had) because our Nest stopped working. The fee for this was $265, yikes. Thanks for being a 24 hour service, but for what probably was a 15 min. Visit that's a lot of money.
I will call Charlie Lovett from Lovett plumbing & heating next time.
