Best Faucet Installation in Boston MA
My husband and I recently moved to a new home, and the previous occupant left behind the unsightly remains of an old bidet (exposed pipes etc.). My neighbor had worked with Big Blue not too long ago, so I called them to come in and give us an estimate. To my pleasant surprise, they do not charge to give estimates, unlike some other high maintenance plumbers that I've worked with. Kevin was prompt and courteous, and lo and behold when we went down to our basement to check on something else, found a pool of water by our hot water heater. For realz! With a new baby, we didn't need this additional 'surprise.'
Thankfully, the heater was under warranty, and so that saved us money, despite the big huge expense of replacing a hot water heater. Hope that never happens to you, readers. Big Blue called the company and took care of everything. They sent in Kumar and Mike to replace the heater the very next day. Kumar was polite, kind, and worked extremely hard. He was careful not to wake the baby (by being quiet), and took his shoes off when he came into our home (per my request). Mike accidentally hurt his finger, but did not fuss, and continued to get the job done (with a small stop at the hospital). It was one of those freak 90 degree days in June, and both guys provided outstanding service. They even refused a tip! Seriously, who does that in this day and age, saying that their boss is a great guy who takes very good care of them. Happy employees make for a happy company. Thanks Kumar and Mike.
Special shout out to Donna as well, who was super sweet and helpful while scheduling and took care of everything.
My only slight disappointment was that I wanted the bidet pipes to be shorter, and they still stick out of the floor. I'm not sure if there was anything more the guys could have done on this, but it did set me back $125.
I would recommend BIg Blue without hesitation. My husband who is a Marine and has very high standards, approved as well. Give them your business. Go now, do it!

Angel came out on New Years Day, was extremely thoughtful and helpful, and proactively followed up with us first thing the following morning. I highly recommend Dynamic Plumbing.

Consolidated Plumbing is top notch. Mitch did a bathroom remodeling job for us with Doug Rausch as contractor several years ago. They gutted our bathroom down to the studs and completely remodeled it. Mitch's plumbing work was a work of art, and Doug's carpentry and tile work was excellent. We had done a previous bathroom remodel with another company, and Consolidated was far superior. We have made use of their plumbing services with Tommy since then, and we've been very happy with Tommy's work and Jodi's front office services. Thank you Consolidated!!!

I have used Hinchey Brothers for many years (15+) and my mother uses them as well. They do our plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and have replaced our water heater and furnace as well as kitchen and bathroom plumbing.. They are careful, responsive trustworthy and very easy to deal with. I also count on them for referrals to related vendors (such as chimney work.) They are totally reliable and I recommend them without reservation.

I'm not sure why everyone on yelp gave Frank just glowing reveiws, because my experience with him was completely different. His quote came out higher than most and his expertise left me a bit concerned. Call him if you wish, but I found better options out there.

Renato was great. Gave me a quote via Yelp, arrived and fixed the problem within a few minutes. Gave me his opinion about fixing some other things and left s great impression. Will definitely contact Renato again.

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Response time was fantastic, and it was very easy to set up our appointment to get a new sink installed and a leaky toilet fixed. Jim arrived not just on time, but a little bit early, and he worked diligently until the job was complete. Friendly service, too. Everything looks great, and we are very pleased with how it all turned out. Would definitely recommend Pescatore Mechanical Contractors to others!

One time they couldn't come immediately, not sure why, but thats unusual.
Generally they are excellent. Been a customer for 5 + years, in Brookline.

I hired Andrew to install a garbage disposal that I had already purchased. It was slightly larger than the old one, so I was worried it would be a tight fit and told Andrew this over the phone before the job. The first thing he does is yank the old disposal out so hard that the sink dislodges. Then to fix the sink he pulls out the dishwasher, breaking the copper connecting pipe. He putting the sink back haphazardly with a gap between the top and the counter. I ask if he is going to caulk it and he says he doesn't do that -- seems to me like a standard thing for a plumber.
Finally, he tries to put the new disposal in. It doesn't fit and he can't figure out a way to get to go in. Frustrated, he asks me to pay him $300 and says he wants to leave (his original estimate was $150-200). I offer him $200 for his time, but he won't accept the payment. Then he leaves, with the dishwasher still out of its place. He comes back because he forgot his phone, I ask him to reconnect the dishwasher He reluctantly does so and it starts leaking so he just shuts off the supply. He says the connecter is broken and I should go get a new one myself and he will install it the next day. I go out and buy the hose, but then he refuses to come back and install it. So now I have no disposal, a broken sink and a broken dishwasher.
I found Andrew to be very unprofessional. Some jobs are challenging. To get frustrated and take it out on the customer, and to leave the customer's kitchen in worse condition than you found it is unacceptable. At least he didn't accept my money in the end, so I can pay another plumber to fix the dishwasher he broke.

Had a problem with upstairs toilet. Called 4 people, couldn't get anyone here within a week. Call Mass Plumbing and Heating, Welter came within 3 hours. Welter was respectful of current Covid issues, he was efficient, cleaned everything up, and in general...a nice guy to have working in the house. Highly recommend! Barbara C.

Decided to get proactive with our 20 year old American Standard furnace. Selected Main Stream Mechanical to do the install and couldn't be happier. Technicians were very knowledgeable and professional. Very well run company with great communication. Couldn't be happier.

I have used T-Flow in the past because they have excellent service and seem reasonable, so called them again when the gas company told me I had a small leak in a gas pipe and it needed to be replaced. When the snow storm made them unable to come on Monday, I got a phone call on Sunday to let me know. When Henry & his partner were on their way and knew they'd be late because of traffic they called to let me know. So great customer communication! When they arrived, they replaced the gas pipe pretty quickly, explained where they were each step of the way, and reviewed the bill with me at the end. I feel completely confident that the gas leak pipe was replaced correctly and Henry's partner took time to double check that the stove was working properly too. Another great experience using T-Flow! Thanks, T-Flow!

Mike Richard has done outstanding work at our home over the past 8 years. He works so efficiently he actually jogs to his truck and back to get any needed supplies. Mike is always timely and communicates about any issues that he finds, offering various solutions. Most recently, he put me in touch with other contractors that have also done superb work.

We hired Casper Plumbing and Heating to replace an old water heater. They got back to me quickly with a quote, and on the day of the installation, got the new heater up and running in about an hour. Great service from a local small business.

Update to original post. Seems there was a big mixup. Owner called me to apologize within 5 min of me posting review. The weekend, central call center did not tell anyone this was an emergency so they treated and routed it as normal scheduling. I still have not used their services but can say the owner was genuinely concerned and wanted to make up for the miscommunication (and not even his fault). I would absolutely call them again for any plumbing work.
Sunday afternoon and our main drain clogged. Needed emergency service. Website said the same- 24/7 emergency services. Quick response initially, then a few texted questions. I assumed they were trying to find someone who could do the work. Four hours later they texted back to say they could come Thursday. It is Sunday.

Today Phil from Green Energy came over to work on our central air conditioning system. He was thorough, checked out every possible problem and then gave us his recommendations. He took excellent notes on his work and concerns. The cool air is flowing again and we are hoping that his efforts will solve our problems. He was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him!

I don't really know anything about fixing stuff around the house, which probably makes me a crappy homeowner. But hey, such is life, and a homeowner I am nonetheless. Luckily, the folks at Crescent Plumbing exist to make my failure as a handyman a little less visible.
We actually inherited their service as a result of our previous homeowners, and I've had to call them out twice, but each time, it was pretty great. The main experience i had with them was when our sewer line completely backed up and no water would drain. Not only did they have someone answer the phone on a Sunday afternoon, but they dispatched a couple of folks over to fix the problem, who did so cheerily, even though it was a pretty gnarly problem that took lots of effort to fix. It wasn't necessarily cheap, but I feel a lot better that there's 24-hour service out there to fix stuff that breaks in my house.
Having lived in other places and used other similar companies to service homes and apartments, getting 24-hour emergency service that is convenient and reliable is fairly rare, but Crescent saved my bacon.
I'm a little surprised to see the negative reviews (some are fairly old) on Yelp for these guys, as in a handful interactions over a year or so, they've never been anything but excellent and pleasant, from the office staff to the actual employees. I've had grumpy fix-stuff-that-broke employees, and these definitely weren't them.
