Excellent quality work and very high quality plumbers who inspire confidence. I'd give it 5 stars but the quality of the administration / front office communication with customers could be improved.

Greg was very responsive in returning our initial call and scheduled an appointment promptly.  He was great about calling within 30 minutes of arriving.  He did good work at a good price.  We would definitely use Greg's services again.

Angel was amazing! He was recommended to me by a friend when my usual plumber was unavailable. I called about a leak and luckily he was in the area and able to come by and fix it within an hour! Absolutely, hands down the best plumber and one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. Jodie, office manager, is on top of everything.  Every phone call is returned promptly.  I manage a large museum-lots of plumbing-and Consolidated Plumbing has been a pleasure to work with.  And I've been working with them for years.  Never a disappointment.  Can't say enough nice things about this company.

I have used Hinchey Brothers for many years (15+) and my mother uses them as well.  They do our plumbing, heating and air conditioning, and have replaced our water heater and furnace as well as kitchen and bathroom plumbing..  They are careful, responsive trustworthy and very easy to deal with.  I also count on them for referrals to related vendors (such as chimney work.)  They are totally reliable and I recommend them without reservation.

had them put in a new boiler and oil tank they did such a great job. I could not believe how quiet and efficient they were  they left the place cleaner than when they came. All workmanship was top notch and very professional .If you need service or a new boiler these are the people to call. Welter is the Man!  

I have an aging Buderus GB142 condensing boiler that has been having those old age boiler things happening. I had been using a local service with a monthly support agreement but recent experiences with under trained techs led me to search for someone more familiar with my boiler.
After having been quoted $4,900 to repair my boiler for error codes and inaccurate pressure readings from Company A, I contacted Welter and he came in and assessed a few problems. The issues were addressed efficiently, parts were replaced, connections were repaired the boiler was deemed ready for service and the total bill amounted to less than 20% of Company A.
Long story short, Welter is an experienced plumber, heating pro, with a positive attitude and excellent troubleshooting skills. Highly Recommend Welter for any heating / hot water issues.

Called and was able to make an appointment next day.  They were great, found the issue and fixed it on the spot.  Even showed me what the issue was so I understood the problem and what he would need to do.  Recommended an access solution to the affected area for the future.  I was very happy.

Bill did an exemplary job. He is extremely responsive, knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. His customer service is second to none. He took excellent care of our furnace and addressed all of our concerns. I look forward to hiring him again in the future.

Ryan returned my call right away.  He looked at pictures of my hot water heater, checked with the manufacturer, and was ready with a plan.  Before coming out he made a suggestion and it actually did the trick and we didn't need service.  I was so impressed with his professionalism, quick response and willingness to talk with me and help me, that I called him when I had a problem with my heater.  To my disappointment, he doesn't do heaters but came back with a great recommendation for someone who does.  Ryan and Ventolieri Plumbing are at the top of my list of who to call if I have a plumbing problem or project!

Lifesaver! Our older Lochinvar boiler was intermittently failing. Would run fine for days then keep needing to be reset. Contacted a bigger plumbing contractor (begins w/ Cr) a few weeks ago because we were desperate to find anyone to come who we hadn't dealt with in the past. They came and did a service on the boiler, which of course was running fine at that time, but then proceeded to go off again 2 days later. They did come back, but at that time it was running fine again (at least they didn't charge us for that visit). So the week before this record cold it really starts cutting out, so I called Lochinvar and their service branch gave me a few local names. By chance I called Russo first and they said they could be here the day after. Woke up to house @ 52 degrees that morning.
  Anthony showed up and assured me he would get it fixed, and proceeded to go through with me all the possible issues before replacing the fan unit that was most likely culprit. Couldn't have asked for a more professional and knowledgeable technician. Our only regret was that we hadn't found them earlier. What an immense relief to not have to worry about losing heat on the coldest day of the year!

My garbage disposal got clogged: the machine was working but the content of the disposal, ground, did not move through.  I disconnected the plumbing coming off the disposal and found that water that I inserted from above would came out easily.  Therefore, I thought there must have been a clogged pipe downstream, which was unaccessible to me.  I called MACCO and described what I just wrote here; they gave me an appointment for ONE WEEK later.  They also told  me that I would have to pay $ 320 minimum, regardless of how short or long the job was going to be.  When the plumber came he spent a good amount of time doing the same thing that I had done, and told me that he could not fix the problem and I needed a drain guy.  He even called his dispatcher (same person I had talked to, who confirmed that they do not do that type of work.  
I then called their office and said that I did not feel fair to charge me because they should have said right away that they could not do the job. The person on the phone just continued to repeat that I had accepted in advance to pay and that I had not told him that there was a clogged drain, which ridiculous because I knew that it was not a leak and that I had told him that I thought there was probably some obstruction downstream.  I even offered to meet in between with the charge because I understood the man who came had spent some work time, but there was no chance.  Eventually I paid.
I later called a drain company, they came the next day and in 15 minutes they got the job done, for $ 149.
I clearly will not use MACCO again and I would never recommend them to anyone, and I told them the same.

Green Energy installed a ducted Fujitsu heat pump for my house in late 2015. At every step in the process they were professional and responsive, and I was very happy with the install. The system just had its first failure, and they resolved it quickly and for just the $99 service call fee. Again, the service tech was professional and very competent, and I couldn't be happier with the response.

I am now considering them for replacing my boiler and hot water system.

It matters a lot who you get.

2 years ago, they sent Rob to fix my furnace and he did an excellent job both of diagnosing the issue and educating me about what he was doing.

This year, they sent Pat.  He misdiagnosed the problem, and recommended an expensive solution that would not have helped (a friend later successfully diagnosed the issue).  He was uncomfortable explaining to me what he was doing and became defensive when I started asking questions.

Cranney sent Frank to take care of an emergency at my home on a Saturday night.  (Everyone else I called wasn't answering their phone - was a Pats playoff game night!) He was friendly, competent, and did a very professional job.  They are a large company, and so charge accordingly, but the work was top notch.  I also like that the Cranney's donate a lot to non-profit charities on the North Shore.
