Best A/C Installation in Washington DC
I am overwhelmed that there are still companies out there like Reddick. I have searched high and low and asked friends and family for recommendations and have finally hit the jackpot. The gentleman who came out was passionate, friendly, courteous, explained things to me in layman's form and re-explained the issue at hand to my husband. He took pride in his work, was not pushy and PUT ON SHOE COVERS! Thank you for helping our family of 8 have heat after a long Thanksgiving holiday without it.

They came out twice in a few years to completely clean boiler and hvac.
Recently we had plumbing repairs and I casually mentioned that our boiler wasn't working well, to the new plumber we hired.
The new plumber is a bit of brainiac and is interested in everything.
He looked at the boiler and asked why the tank had ever been drained and also pointed out several other things that SILA should have done or noticed.
So we're really disgusted that their poor service over the years probably contributed to our boiler's decline.
And now we're horrified that when they cleaned the HVAC they never bothered cleaning the collected grease OFF the motor. It makes a BURNING smell when it kicks on their goofball tech said that was normal.
Do not use this company.

Our boiler was starting to act up so we decided to seek competitive proposals to replace the unit. Clark was one of several that came to provide an estimate. The estimator, Carlos, was very thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful in my understanding what he proposed to do. After evaluating the proposals from competitors, we selected Thomas Clark to do the work. Carlos and his team arrived at the time promised and did an excellent job removing the old unit and installing a new one made by NTI. It is a pleasure to work with a true professional who was very careful throughout the process to ensure its successful completion.

I have heard of companies using PR firms who pay people to give the company a good review and I am thinking that is what has happened here as that is the only plausible explanation for so many good reviews that were totally opposite of our experience with this company. First of all let me say that my husband is a contractor so we are fairly reasonable and patient when it comes to dealing with contractors. We called Snell as our air conditioning unit would not hold a charge so we knew we had a leak or other issue. They scheduled an appointment for 9am to 1pm on Wednesday, May 22nd. My husband took off work that morning to meet the contractor. At 1pm they called and said the technician was running a little late and would be there within the hour. Okay, at least they called. When 3:30 rolled around and he still had not arrived, I called (no one called us) and spoke to a very unapologetic representative who said the technician would be there shortly. He arrived around 4:00. Had we known, my husband could have worked in the morning (actually he could have put in almost a full day!). The technician did a thorough test of the system and said we would need a new evaporator coil. My husband told him we would discuss that evening and call them to schedule the repair. On Friday, May 24th I called to schedule the repair. The representative told me she needed to talk to someone to find out if they had the part or had to get the part and someone would call me back to schedule. I waited for a return call, but nothing that day, or Monday (Memorial Day so that is understandable), or Tuesday......finally I called them back on Wednesday and it was as if I was calling them for the first time. Again I was told someone would call me back, but nothing. Thursday I called again and after explaining our situation, the person scheduled the repair for Monday, June 3rd starting between 8 and 9am. She said if by chance the part did not arrive in time they would call to reschedule. Sunday evening we received a call confirming our appt. Monday AM (again taking off work for the repair) we waited........at 9:30 I called and was told they needed to check with dispatch. We received a return call a half hour later and was told that they did not have the part! More unnecessary time off of work and continued poor customer service. The representative told me she would check on when the part was to arrive and would call me back that afternoon - - I confirmed that we should expect a call that day. That was June 3rd and as of today (June 23rd) I am STILL waiting for that return call. We, of course, had the repair done by another company (U.S. Appliance Tech) who did the repair timely and for over $300 less! If you are thinking of using Snell for your A/C needs, I suggest you run (don't walk) to another contractor (maybe US Appliance Tech!).

Twice I've had issues with the sole toilet in my apartment and twice W.L. Staton has come out and saved the day. This most recent time they came out 20 minutes after I called and were very professional, fast and efficient in fixing the problem. The cost was very reasonable and I would not hesitate to call them again if I had any other plumbing related issue.

Had a leak in the garage and figured it was something with the bathroom above, so I called a few plumbers. Of the 3 I called, Plumb was the most responsive and could get out to my place the soonest. Lou came out on time and immediately assessed the situation after cutting some drywall. He expertly fixed the issue and we have not seen an issue since. I will definitely be using Plumb Professionals for my plumbing needs in the future.

I used Drymount for a garbage disposal installation, as well as dishwasher repair. In each instance they were fantastic, from the owner to the techs who came out to my residence.
I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to use their services.

My family and just returned from vacation last night to discover we had no hot water. I went through the yelp find a business and Kahlid responded within 15 mins and was able to come out to the house within 2 hours! He was able to fix the issue and we are good to go. He was very Courteous and even showed me how to fix the issue if it ever arises again. I definitely recommend Get it Right Services .

As a realtor walking buyers through the home inspection process, JF Plumbing has been a valuable resource as well as a great company to provide corrective action. Often times a small plumbing repair timely done results in significant savings. Always available and timely, I highly recommend JF Plumbing.

I live in a fairly older house and each year have little plumbing problems. So, it's pretty much safe to say I've been through many plumbing companies. This year, as 2020 bad luck fashion, my laundry room drain clogged up worse than ever, it left me very frustrated and panic. I contacted multiple plumbers through yelp, and of them all, DB's Plumbing was the swiftest and patient to answer.
The whole process of making an appointment to having someone come out was easy and straight to the point. They called me imminently, reassured my anxiety that was creeping up, told me the soonest times possible that would fit my schedule. They texted me after the appointment, between and right before to remind me, send a picture of the technician, and the icing on the cake, they wore a mask, gloves, and even feet booties. (Many companies had problems when I asked if they wore a mask when working, its high peak in the pandemic and I have a highrisk child living with me)
Chris was amazing, he explained what the problem was and how likely my house had this problem. He was very professional and patient with all my questions. David also checked in making sure everything was going well during the appointment. I felt so well taken care of as if we were a long family friend here just helping me out.
They take card and cash both, there is a $39 fee for an in-person consult. (i had an emergency appointment, I don't know if that plays a role)
De-draining my laundry room was around $376, which is a fair price compared to other companies I've come across. And with the customer care and service, it's an extremely fair price to pay.
I also was recommended for a bio-wash (?) technically it helps with the build-up in my old pipes, which was around $57.
I'm pretty harsh in rating services, but I highly recommend them, the best experience so far!

Isaac Guevara is a terrific plumber. He installed a new hot water heater for us. He does the work himself, did a great job, everything to code, good quality work, cleaned up, and at a reasonable cost.
None of the usual rigamarole of plumbers; instead Isaac is honest, has over a decade of plumbing and contracting experience, and does a great job at a reasonable price.
Highly recommend!

As always Heil Plumbing did a wonderful job! Eric arrived on time & installed shower diverter for our recently sold apartment. He was friendly, polite and completed the job efficiently in a short time.
I recommend Heil Plumbing to all my friends, family & neighbors. Will definitely call on them again when the need arises!
Thank you for your many trips to our apartment, Brandon and Eric, helping us with the remodel/repairs to sell the property!

Had a sump pump fail and they came and did a same day emergency replacement. I originally reached out to Opata for a second opinion bc I honestly don't know much about plumbing and they agreed with the other company that the sump pump needed to be replaced. Price was about $150 less than what the other company quoted me so I went with Opata. I had a million questions before and after the new sump pump was installed and they were super responsive and gave detailed answers to each question. I really appreciated this. Us first time home owners need help so it was great to not feel annoying for having a lot of questions.

Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done. They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.
And, Geoff, Mark, & Brian, our new master bathroom looks and functions beyond our expectations. Thank you!
