Best Electrical Panel Installation in Seattle WA
I received a quote but didn't have work performed by them. Stars are for cost, not quality of work.
Customer service/scheduling was great and the technician arrived on time for the quote, so that was all good.
However, consistent with some other recent reviews, I was shocked at the quoted price, which was 32% higher than the second-highest quote I received. With Seatown it was just over $1000 for installing a new 240V circuit in my garage and running the wire through a conduit for 20 ft.
I'm pretty sure this is typically a $300-500 job with normal electrician prices.
Getting multiple quotes is highly recommended.

Dean is very knowledgeable and most of all honest. His prices are reasonable and you can trust his work. I wouldn't call anyone else.

Beware! Upsellers at a minimum; scam-artists at worst!
We had a sewage back-up at one of our rental properties and contacted South West Plumbing for a fix. They said they could have a plumber out that afternoon and clear the clog for approximately $650.00. Shortly after the plumber arrived, he began telling the tenant that he couldn't get through the clog which he said was made up of facial wipes, q-tips, and dental floss, and they'd need to cut the patio and dig down to replace the pipe, but they could start that evening, once they got the OK from us. (Alarm bells!)
My wife was handling this, and she was justifiably upset. The plumber then brought in an Excavation Manager to scope the line. This person arrived, scoped the line, and told my wife over the phone that we had a collapsed sewer line and that they'd need to, again, cut a hole in the patio, dig down, and replace the line. He reported the clog was roots and toilet tissue. (change of story - Alarm bells)
This was news to me, as we had the sewer line scoped when we bought the house 13 months prior and got no report of root growth in the line - rather they said it was clear, and all joints looked either good or ok. At that point, I arrived at the home and looked at the scope myself. When I got there, the story changed again. It was no longer a collapsed line; now it was just a stubborn clog that could only be cleared by - guess what - cutting the patio, digging down to the line, installing a coupler, and jetting the line (apparently they could not do this from the existing clean-out in the basement) - all of which would have a cost of $4,700.(4-ALARM FIRE ALARM BELLS!)
At this point, considering the shifting story, I was convinced I was being scammed for massive and unnecessary repairs. I told them to pack their stuff and I was getting a second opinion, and if the second plumber concurred with their assement, I'd be happy to take a bid from them for the work they were proposing. The next day, the second plumber arrived, used the existing clean-out to jet the clog, and had it cleared at a cost of approximately $775.
South West Plumbing is definitely NOT the one to call.

I don't know how this many reviews are Not Currently Recommended, but if they were accounted for, this business would be solidly 1-STAR OVERALL...

Called and scheduled regarding a gas line extension. Had an appointment today between 12 & 3, they called and left a message at 11:30 or so and cancelled! I took the day off to be here and they just cancelled with barely any notice.
Called back to see if there's anything they could do as I wasted a day off today. I was told I'm so sorry if you misunderstood and took a whole day off, we didn't do an appointment for this and you were put in a pool and we were going to call when a tech was available Wait, what? I was given a window of time when someone would arrive...and now you're backtracking like that? Sketchy.
But I can make you an appointment next week and I asked what would prevent this from happening again...Oh it'll be on the schedule. WHY wasn't that done to begin with? What is that? Why are you wasting people's time??
I have a whole day wasted to sit and write reviews (and to find a new company).
This is SO frustrating.
Do not recommend. Poorly run. Can't manage their own techs/appointments, gives sketchy excuses passing the blame off to customer.
And we're supposed to trust them with plumbing issues? HARD PASS.

Josh and Ian were on time. Professional and fast. A great team. Would recommend Beacon again for sure.

We had a clogged septic pipe and full tank recently and just based on A Advanced being $10 cheaper than the big local company, and the fact that they are locally owned, I decided to take a chance on them.
* The Dispatcher gave me a 2 hour window when I called which was great because I expected 4-6 hours like the cable company.
*The Tech (Damon) called 15 minutes before the earliest possible arrival time and let me know that he would be here in 45 minutes to an hour.
When he got to our home his first thought was how to preserve our lawn and property, which I assured him was not the major concern.
Once he had a look at our system, he agreed that we did need to have the tank pumped, but he also showed me how to find the inspection cover, and explained how to clean the filter (Every six months).
Although I was not looking to have service on my second tank, when asked; he took the time to listen to my concerns, looked under the lid (which took several more minutes to open), and was completely genuine when he said that I don't have anything that needs attention with that tank(its only holding laundry and a 1/2 bath) for a long time to come.
This is just a first impression, so I can't say if it's company culture or just a great Tech (Damon), but he was intelligent and thoughtful, is proud to work for A Advanced, was glad to give advice, and will be requested back here every time without a doubt!

Update 10-8-21 Mark, we never said the original work was performed by an unlicensed plumber. Those are your tricky words, right? Almost a year after I fixed it, it's still working fine. We will not be calling Beacon for any plumbing needs. Stop freakin, don't call Beacon.

Miguel came in to give us a bid on a hot water heater. Not only is their company able to help with the hot water heater they are electricians and can do contract work. I'm all for supporting small business and had a wonderful experience with this company

I was given an appt for repairing a leak at one my faucet fixtures 4 days ago. Unfortunately, that day turned out to be the snow dump of the decade. Hart's called to explain a delay--- I totally understood. But now have to wait 4 days including the weekend when apparently Hart's techs are unwilling or unable to drive in the snow. As a result the pipe leak continued for those 4 more days. On the day my rescheduled appt window of time, the time came and went. I called and was told the tech was unable to come again today. I was told my appt would need to be rescheduled again. And this time, no window of time was possible. I assume Harts just expects me to be available all day someday in the future after all other emergencies are resolved from other customers. I just called another plumbing company. They'll be at my home tomorrow by 8-10 am. Now how hard is that kind of service Harts?

I can't speak to the quality of their work, but we had them come out to give us a quote for a complete repipe of our house. The person who came out made weird comments about how fancy our instruments were (we have a cello) and when we asked questions about some of our current pipes they gave us wrong answers (we asked these questions as a way of determining how knowledgeable/trustworthy they are). When it came to the quote, they gave us a quote for about $34,0000 pex, or about $50,000 copper. This is pretty crazy high, so we decided to go with someone else who did a great job and only cost about 13,000 for pex. They've since left multiple voicemails asking me to call back to discuss their insane quote and have been sending unsolicited spam emails. Since they don't take my non-response as enough of an answer, I decided to write this review.

My son just purchased a 2200 soft home built in 2006. The home is heated with a heat pump and his heating bill was running $600/mo. He called Black Hills for quote to fix it. They came out, said his 12 year old system is obsolete, needs $3500 in parts, labor would be on top of that and he might as well put a whole new system in at a cost of $10k-$15k. My son decided on getting another opinion from a company call Sunrise Energy Systems out of Puyallup. The technician had the parts on his truck, he repaired the system and then verified his repairs, total cost under $300. I asked if it looked like the system was on its last legs. The tech said everything is running as it should and has a lot of life left in it. Beware of Black Hills. They were mining for gold and stretched the truth to the breaking point. I would only recommend them to someone I did not like!
