When I first reached out, I got very fast service concerning my dryer duck. The gentleman actually went into the crawlspace to see if the dryer duct could be made straighter. It turns out it could not, but he did recommend that I get the duct clean which I did, and it only cost me minimum amount of money. The only reason I had not gotten the ducks cleaned before was because of the price they wouldn't like $500 to do it and I wasn't gonna pay that much.  Have a Dryer is not dry on one cycle was something I could live with.

My parents had them out to repair and service the AC. After the tech left my dad heard some noise coming from the furnace. He called them back out there. They came back and locked out the furnace and said the 3 year old furnace needed replacing. My parents are in their 80's.

My dad had another licensed and well respected company come out and tell him what was going on. That tech said The furnace was fine.

It cost my parents an additional $200 plus dollars to find out it was ok.

Bad on you Hunt's Services.

THESE GUYS ARE EXPENSIVE
I want to start with the good. Hunt's came to our aid in a modestly emergency situation and fixed the problem.
The difficulty for me is that the price for one technician working work five hours installing two, one-foot lengths of pipe and six copper fittings (priced at less than $9 each) cost us $2,957.22.
That works out to about  $575 per hour. Or about $200 per hour more than my attorney charges.
When I asked our technician how the price broke down in terms of time and parts I was told Hours don't matter, you are paying for my expertise.
I am open to hearing from other plumbers or customers who think that was a fair price for the work (see photo below for context).
And, yes, I signed the estimate. But felt I had little choice since the water was turned off and turning Hunt's away would mean hoping to find a popularly priced plumber in a short time frame.
The technician was a nice guy, we gave him cold water and even set up an umbrella over his work space because of the heat. I hope his work holds up because maybe if I depreciate the cost of this repair over the rest of our time in this house, it won't seem so horribly wrong.

I hired this company in 2016 to repair a leaking pipe in my home and unfortunately had a terrible experience with the contractor, Josh, who is the brother of the company's owner. He overcharged me and kept increasing his service price saying there needs to be more tools and labor than he initially thought. It ended up costing 10 times more than what was quoted initially, and the final cost was around 4300 dollars. (Look at the picture, do you really think he did work that was worth 4300 dollars?)
He failed to properly explain the scope of the work and the final outcome, leaving me responsible for additional repairs and demolitions. The final result was not satisfactory and Josh's assurance that the job would be covered by insurance proved to be false.
I strongly suspect that the company, through Josh, deliberately misled me in order to get more money because Josh never told me to check with the insurance first, instead told me to pay him first and then get money from the insurance for myself which was not the proper way. When I attempted to address my dissatisfaction, it was difficult to get a hold of Josh, and the company showed little interest in resolving my complaints.
I would not recommend this company and advise others to be cautious when considering them, specifically when it comes to dealing with Josh.

Not to be too uptight, but I requested a quote and all I got back was unable to service

Jeeze, like I get it. We may be to far or maybe you don't do that sort of work. I'm honestly not sure which due to the lack of response from them. I under why they have (3) stars now.

Just very subpar service.....

There are others around that I think would service the community better so I'd stick with those and steer clear of this business

We had a plugged toilet and I called around to find a company to get it flowing again. Hunt Services could not provide me with a quote as they said they had to come out and see the issue. The technician arrived and provided me 3 quotes. The first for $280 to use a Kmart brand fish tape about 3 feet long because nothing would get all the way through the toilet. The second for $780 because if the first would not work, he would have to pull the toilet Its the only way the 3rd for $1200 to replace the toilet because he said was construction grade and the problem would only repeat.

I asked if he had a longer snake and he said no. The Cheap 3 ft was the only thing that would get through the toilet.

Danny was rude and condescending and believing that because he was right there, I would concede and have him fix the problem and he would walk away with up to $2,000.

I declined.

I found a local plumber in Burien, he was out that night at 8:30pm. He had a snake that would go past the toilet and unclogged the drain in 10 minutes. All that for $180.

Be aware that Hunt Services is only on the hunt for your money.

1. No quote
2. Layer after layer of bids knowing full well that the 1st quote would not work.
3. Trying to force an upgrade (my toilet has worked flawlessly for over 5 years)
4. Rude technicians who obviously are on commission and only care about getting their commission.

As a small business owner - I am embarrassed for them as they come across as folksy small businesspeople, when, in my opinion, they are simply opportunist praying on the misfortunes of others.

Get a few bids - don't be desperate and save yourself thousands of dollars by staying away from Hunt Services. Thats just my opinion.

Do not touch this plumbing company with a 10 foot pole. They are incredibly shady and scumy.

They came out to the property we were renting to unclog a drain. It took the plumber about an hour to do, and they charged nearly $1000. They charged us for two jobs and when asked for the work order, they refused to provide any information about the job that was done or the pricing. The office is both disrespectful and condescending.

I have used Hunts Services for multiple plumbing jobs and HVAC updates.  I am impressed by their customer service from the first minute...answering calls quickly and scheduling services ASAP.  I am also very appreciative of their reminders and check ins for appointments.  They are extremely reliable and very fair.
I had some unexpected challenges at my house with my second bath addition and Hunt's couldn't have been more understanding and accommodating.   I consider this company my go-to and and will use them for all my home maintenance needs going forward.
Thank you to the outstanding team.  I am grateful for your expertise and professionalism,

have to say i am impressed with this company. first time. John and son kaleb
showed up -as agreed- to give me an estimate to clean my furnace ducts. liked his style and explanations. Based on his info, I also added a 'blower fan cleaning.  Hired them.  John next came by himself.  He spent over 3 hours thoroughly cleaning all vents and blower.  Patiently answered the myriad questions I asked. He cleaned up completely.  Will use again. Will recommend.

Gave this company a shot despite the unfavorable Yelp reviews. A hundred people can't be wrong, I guess. After the initial conversation the person I spoke with told me they would come by the following day, but were unable to give me any sort of time window at all. Luckily I work from home so it was possible for me to be home all day waiting for these people to show up. They didn't. No communication, so attempt to reschedule, nothing. Had I actually taken time out of my day to wait for these people to fix some sort of emergency I would have been livid. Please take your business literally anywhere else.

Too expensive: Hunt's tried but couldn't clean out our outside drain but still charged $440 for the trip and equipment fee which was half the original cost if they could have cleaned it. That didn't make sense to me. Did a solid job of installing my water heater in 2016. Yet recently charged $870 to simple drain & move the water heater away from wall to repair a pin hole leak in the pipe which was within the wall.  The repair cost was about the same which I felt was reasonable. However, I will need to compare the prices that other companies offer hereafter...not pleased.

My furnace is old and coming into winter I needed a maintenance service so called Hunt's. They came out quick and did an inspection where I was told that the heat exchanger had a 'large hole' and it was unsafe to use. The tech showed me a picture (attached) and I was confused because the opening looks like it's supposed to be there. I asked if he was meaning the hairline horizontal fissures in the round opening? No. He meant that hole wasn't supposed to be there. I said thanks, paid them $175, and then called for a second opinion. The sales person from Hunts tried to pressure pitch me a $5k or $7500 new furnace. Immediately started offering 50% discounts if I took installation the next day, which I didn't.
Hunts is clearly a company with people on straight commission, or at least that's how they behave. Which is a bad deal for homeowners and for that I'd stay away. This almost was a $5000 mistake for this first time homeowner.
The second opinion confirmed for me (glendale heating) that there's nothing catastrophic about my furnace but it does simply need cleaning. And I'm missing a couple of screws now from the last guy. He had me take a carbon monoxide hand monitor to every vent in the house to check, and nothing was present. I'm now having my furnace maintemanced, (another $225), and will be calling Glendale next year for a new furnace.

All I needed them to do was give me an itemized invoice after the work they did for me, so that my home warranty will refund me some of the bill. They literally refuse. They will not call me back, and every time I call them, the person I need to talk to is never there. They keep sending me the wrong invoice and then don't respond when I tell them it's for the wrong appointment. I am so done, and I will NEVER recommend this horrible company to anyone. Go somewhere else, because if anything goes wrong here with the work that's done, you'll never get any response.

The only reason i give one point is because you cannot give 0 here. The whole experience is so bad and full of cheating, every time you talked to someone from this company they gave you different talks, it's begining from the estimation. My garage underground sewage pipe needs a repair. I called two company to come to get a quota. Hunt's gave a similar quota after some general discount, the salesman Danny typed in some contract items and asked me to sign in an ipad, i thought he sent me the contractor through email, but no he didn't. All things come from this. Danny mentioned there might be sewage waste that needs additional cost to remove, he gave 1 to 2 thousands.  On monday, two technicians came, and cut the concrete and dig a 2x2 feets hole to identify the pipe, and they reported sewage leak (which is very small around the pipe. Then Danny called me to ask for additional $6000 to just remove the wastes. I asked him why it's so different from the 1 to 2 thousand estimation, he talked about labor fee though he said they hire a different company to do it. I felt it's too expensive and told them i would like to find a company to clean it up myself. Then they started to say they finished their work, without putting back clean dirt and concrete for the hole they dig, also a manager Nick called saying putting back concrete is not in the contract. Just that i found Danny didn't send me the signed contract to check the contract items, then i asked for original signed contract, they sent me a new generated one after several hours, which has totally different contract items inside, specifically call out concrete is not included. I asked to talk to a supervisor, the supervisor Heather first started to talk about the general discount i got at the beginning from Danny was for excluding putting back concrete, after several phone calls, i thought I reached an agreement with Heather on discount of $600 to putting back clean dirt, and additional discount to putting back concrete, and she needs to confirm with team on the discount amount for the concrete. Only if you think that is it.

Today Heather called, said the previously agreed $600 discount is for putting back concrete and she mentioned that is exactly what we agreed for last time. In the end, i have to tell her i need to record all conversations with the company. It's not end yet, i start to talk to my legal consultant. Stay away from this company.

Very quick to respond. Friendly office. Got the job done quick.
$730 to replace a hose bib, is ridiculous however. When the plumber told me the problem, I debated doing it myself, and he gave me BS about how complicated it was, so I let him do it.... just replaced the hose bib. Must have been $600 for 1 hour of labor.

I had a bad valve on my water heater, and it was leaking. I called and they came and charged me a large fee for the repair, but I was stuck, and they charge you to come out so I proceeded. At completion they offered 10% off if I joined the monthly service that would include regular furnace inspections, review the sewer, electrical safety inspection and water heater flush seemed reasonable. Since then, I have paid $164 for nothing. I did have a guy come out for an electrical safety inspection and all he did was try and sell me something. So my $50 dollar discount cost me $164.00. I moved and cancelled it but they made sure to collect the money before they cancelled it.

Description of work: Repair or replace a section of kitchen sink drain and vent pipe; also replace supply valves for kitchen sink and dishwasher.

The plumbing part of the project went fine, if a little on the expensive side. The new installation appears to be functional and free of leaks.

Major problem: A few days after they finished, I moved a floor mat in my kitchen and discovered a 3/16 hole drilled through the floor! (It seems that when drilling a pilot hole from the basement for the new drain pipe, they had misjudged the location of the cabinet, and drilled through the floor instead.) While on-site, they never mentioned their mistake to me. Instead, they just covered it up by moving the floor mat back into place (with some sawdust still around it).

Minor problem: They also failed to clean up scraps of pipe and hole-saw cuttings, both on the ground outside the house and on the roof.

The company did not respond to my emailed report of these issues, in which I included a photo of the hole in the floor. I would have expected them to at least offer to reimburse me for the cost to repair the damage.

Signed up for a yearly plumbing service contract specifically to get a free sewer inspection. I made an appointment for the inspection after I verified with the scheduler that the technician would email me a video of the inspection and the technician refused to provide a video for free before he even walked in the door. The customer service representative called me back to say, no, they would provide the free video. Get your act together, Hunt's, it's about customer service, not money grubbing technicians. After paying the service contract for 9 months with nothing to show for it, it is literally money down the drain. Don't call this plumber.

I used Hunts in 2016 and attempted to use it again in 2021. I will start with 2021, as it is most recent. We wanted a new kitchen faucet installed. They were about a week out on jobs, so we scheduled and waited. Day of the job, I waited all day long before receiving a call at 3:30 that a technician had a family emergency and they were not going to be able to get to me. They requested to reschedule 3 days later and offered $35 off. I accepted and was thanked for being so understanding.

Today, again I waited all day... at 11:30, I received a call stating that they were running behind but would definitely be there today. I expressed frustration and that I would be more of priority since I was already rescheduled. The dispatcher said that people who had no plumbing at all were the priority. I reconfirmed they would be here today, she said yes. I called at 1:30 to confirm again they were still on track to come to my house. Then at 3:30 dispatch called and said I am so sorry we will have to reschedule again. I said absolutely not, you proved you do not want my money and I will be using someone else. Dispatch again began to explain other people had plumbing emergencies, not to say I was any less important.....

Back in 2016, we called for help to repair a leaking shower head. While attempting to fix ourselves we broke our main water shut off valve. Hunts showed quickly for us that time, just with a really high price and an injury to myself. They removed and installed a new shut off valve, which was located in my kitchen pantry and then headed upstairs to work on the shower. While upstairs, the fitting on the new shut off valve burst and water was spraying everywhere. I jumped up to try to contain the mess and slipped and fell really hard on the tile in my kitchen. I hit my tail bone really hard and busted open my elbow in the fall. The technician and apprentice ran downstairs to fix the problem and the whole time was more concerned about us leaving a bad review rather than seeing if I was OK or showing any concern for me at all. I tried to nurse my wounded pride and pretend it wasn't that bad.. at the time I was more embarrassed and felt bad for them, but today I am really angry and will make sure my review is shared here and throughout my community.

Hunt's Services charges you real good for their advertising. I have a Prop. Management for my investment home in Renton, WA, so I had no say or choice in choosing a plumbing service for a quite large work and digging and fixing the underground broken pipe outside the home. In the course of the work, their workers messed up really bad, putting some pressure check through the pipes and the feces and urine exploded all over one of the bathrooms, splashing my tenant in the process. She demanded to not pay rent the following month in the snout of $2,100, due to the horrid experience and cleaning costs. Hunt's said they will refund the $2,100 towards my credit card, but I have never been able to reach their business office to talk about it. Further, they blatantly OVERCHARGED me $7,000 towards the final price of work. I had to dispute my credit cards to get it back because their business office or no one else in that matter, ever reached to me. If they talk only to the property managers, they never told them either, my manager found out about that while dealing with that pipe incident. Jason, or, The King Jason, I'm that matter, does not talk to customers. Loll That's that. Please read and judge my yourself, I'm happy to be done with them!

Heater quit in the morning and called to have it looked at.  Couldn't get to it till the morning.  No worries there, could handle the cold with a couple of space heaters for one day.  Came out the next day and the guy that showed up couldn't get under the crawl space so they had to call another.  He showed up and performed the diagnostic and found a bad control panel.  Told me it would be $1,400 plus the $150 for the call!  I found a control panel on line for $385.  $1,100 for installation?  You got to be kidding me.  He then said my unit was old and said I could get a new one for around $3,600.  I said OK, send out a sales guy and I'll take a look.  No sales people until three days later.  I still don't have heat and it is getting down to 32 F at night.  Thanks a lot Hunt's Services.  I have been with them for over five years letting them service my equipment.  That ends here!  Don't waste your time with this company.

I have used Hunts for several services and while their prices are really inflated the representatives were nice; however, going forward, Hunt's has lost me as a customer.

I scheduled to have my dryer vent cleaned and was notified on the day of the appointment that they did not have a technician available and would need to reschedule. Given the current labor pool in Q2 of 2021, I understood. I did reschedule and I also requested that I be discounted for the inconvenience.  The representative agreed and provided me a $35.00 credit. The starting cost for the dryer vent was $149.00 but could be more if the technician found difficulty getting to the vent. In my case my laundry room is located on the first floor, so I didn't anticipate added charges but did note the Hunt's tends to inflate cost after a given assessment, so I knew it would be more than $149.00. Case in point, I paid $700 for a garbage disposal replacement.

We rescheduled my cleaning for another day. I received a text message confirming the appointment. The morning of the appointment I received a text message and a phone call at 8:08. I had stepped away to let my dog out and didn't have my phone with me. Upon retuning into the house I saw that I had missed a text message and a phone call, so at 8:28 I texted back to confirm my availability.  When I read the text message it stated that I must get back to them within 10 minutes. So I called to make sure that they had received my text response. I was placed on hold for about 5 minutes. When I was finally connected to a representative, I was told that I would need to reschedule because I had not responded within the 10 minute window, which is pretty ridiculous. I stated that I had not responded within 10 minutes because I did not have access to my phone but that I was responding now. I also shared that I had previously responded to the confirmation text the day before and that the appointment was set. The representative said you missed the 10 minute window and would need to reschedule and that was all she could offer. Bear in mind, I had been a customer of Hunt's for at least 2 years and had hoped that they would take that into consideration. I was infuriated at the fact that I was being penalized for a frivolous policy that when Hunt's calls, you must respond in 10 minutes or else they arbitrarily reschedule you.

Is their business so good now that they feel they no longer need to service the customer?  How is it that Hunt's expectations for the customer is higher than their own? Their service reps are always late and the last one that serviced my home was 2 hours late based on the scheduled appointment.

They have lost a customer and I would recommend that if you're going to pay what they charge you can definitely find better service elsewhere.

I had the privilege of almost being taken advantage of by these clowns.
I needed a gas line(plastic) repaired after punching a hole in it by accident. The guy shows up and says he has never worked on plastic gas line before. He calls the office and comes back with a quote for $1400 . WTF
I laughed and told him I will fix it myself and went to Home Depot and purchased the exact same part to repair it. I fixed it in less than 10 minutes.....

We found out we had a water leak this morning and Hunt's was here by 1:00 to fix it! In that time frame we also got a quote from Roto Rooter. Not only were they super fast to arrive and fix the Ieak, the tech was able to resolve the problem for literally $2000 less than Roto Rooter! In addition, it's nice that they send an actual technician out, rather than an estimator who knows very little (the other company). The technician was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Great experience in a not so great situation!

I am extremely frustrated with the quality of work, the customer service following their mistakes, and I feel taken advantage of after trusting them to do quality work within state and city codes I was not familiar with. For anyone considering hiring Hunt's Services, I would strongly suggest against it, and if you do work with them, be sure to watch them closely and do your research on the codes that apply to the work they will be doing as they cannot be trusted to abide by them.
We trusted Hunt's Services to replace our electrical panel, which was located in a small closet in our bedroom. We originally discussed moving the panel, as its location was only permissible due to its age (it had been installed before the code was updated). I was working from home at the time, I let the workers in, and the replacement panel was put into the same location in the closet. When I inquired, they said it was fine at the time. A year later when considering a remodel, I checked the codes myself and found that the panel is against Washington state code. I've reached out multiple times since July, and been told the worker who installed the panel was no longer with them, and they would address it. As of this point in time, I have not received compensation for the work they have done that is against code, which I needed to pay to be fixed. If they reach out and refund me, I will update my review.
Additionally, we had a very expensive sewer liner installed with them, and when we received a free scope from another company, they notified us the liner was coming up. We sent the liner video to Hunt's Services, only for them to say it was fine.
We have now had two expensive jobs by this company, with very low quality of work and a failure to meet state standards. I cannot caution enough against using Hunt's Services. In my experience, there is a high likelihood you will not be happy with the work, and they will not do anything to rectify it.

I called Hunts services to schedule an estimate for leaking under my house, and told the rep that there was water leaking in my crawl space.
Very clearly detailed, multiple times, that a crawl space was involved.
I was advised there was a $60 charge to come and provide estimate on work needed. Accepted the info and booked the appointment.

Technician showed up, and informed me that the$60 charge is just to come knock on my door and talk to me, that it's an additional $227 to actually GO inside the crawlspace to determine problem and next steps.

He informed me that they drive all over the place and if they gave free estimates all day they'd go out of business.... So instead they try to charge almost $300 to give you a quote on work needed.

I spoke with the customer service rep after turning the technician away, and told her that they need to be WAAAAY more transparent to their clients when telling them of the charges to provide estimates..

Seems both technician and customer service rep, while friendly enough, could only come up with excuses why there are these fees that they charge.

FYI.... an alternate plumbing co has been by..... the technician spent HOURS with me starting with going under my house to locate the problem and then in great detail went over the situation, the remedies, the pricing and the estimate timeline to complete the repairs. Didn't charge me a dime just to provide a detailed estimate.... and was only interested in HELPING me.
That is the company that will get my business.

Hope this review helps you to make a fair and well informed decision for your plumbing needs.

I probably should have read the reviews before scheduling with this company. I needed my dryer vent cleaned, so on 6/22/21, I got on their site to book my appointment. Seemed easy enough, and I was thrilled that the next available appointment was the next day. I was only given morning or afternoon, no specific time.  I took the day off, and when I didn't hear anything around 1pm, I called. Michelle in the office put me on hold only to come back on the line to tell me the automatic scheduling system did not schedule me. She truly showed no care or concern, almost like this happens frequently.  She told me they're very busy & take emergency calls first.  I asked when I could get rescheduled and she was very wishy-washy.  Friday was open, but then she said she could no guarantee the appointment because an emergency might come up.  Next week might work better for them, but then she went back to Friday.  Time?  Oh, she could not commit to that either. Ok, fine, put me on the schedule for Friday.  The best was, I was leaving my house Wednesday around 4pm and there was one of their trucks around the block from me.  Whatever.  Well, today is Friday & took the day off because I was given no specific time or even time window.  So, here I am drinking my coffee, and I get a text Good morning Katy, this is Maxie with Hunt's Services. We have you scheduled for a dryer vent cleaning. Our technician is unavailable today and we are having to reschedule all of his appointments for today to next week. We can offer you a $35 rescheduling credit due to having to move your appointment. Please give us a call at 253-533-7500 or text here, Thank you!.  Really?  I called & got Michelle again.  First she said my appointment was cancelled due to emergency calls. I pointed out that the text said the tech was unavailable & all his appointments were cancelled. Again, wishy-washy, and slightly apologetic now.  Second day off work, still dirty dryer vent.  Needless to say, I'm on the schedule for another company on Monday, and sadly, another day off work.  Thank you Hunt's Services for an unexpected 4 day weekend.  At least the weather will be nice & there's beer in the fridge.

I contacted Hunt's Services on recommendation from PSE.  I needed a gas line extended to support a gas range.  I scheduled a service visit, but they ended cancelling the appointment as there were too many emergencies.  I rescheduled and they cancelled again.

They wasted 2 days of my and my family's time and will take my business elsewhere.

$959.10 to replace a kitchen faucet????? Called Hunts emergency service because I needed it fixed.  Never spoke to me, just showed me a tablet screen with that price to replace the whole thing.  I can't afford that!   They demanded I pay the $159 service fee, even though they were in my home for less than 5 minutes, never touched a tool or even a flashlight.
Honestly, I was frightened, so I paid, just to get hem to leave.
My handyman looked at it today.  It needs a $20 part, and a few minutes   to install.
If you want to pay a lot, call these guys.

I originally gave them a 4 star (and keptthe review below as the service was decent for installing a new heating system) and then we used their plumbing services and WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! We had an emergency and called. They said they'd be there in 4 hrs but first asked if we wanted to join their plan and we did. Once they took our money, service totally changed. First, instead of 4 hrs it took all day. They fixed the toilet flooding but then when we got the bill it was over 900 dollars. They charged 300+ dollars just to take the toilet off. Also, with the plan we were suppose to get a discount but then was told it didn't apply for the first visit. The plan also called for a camera to inspect which they recommended but it didn't apply for this visit. Bottom line: I'm a senior military officer and I am continuing to tell all military folks to stay away from them. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady REFUSED but said they will refund some of the money and it could take up to a month. It's been over three months and I waited long enough. Do NOT do business with these folks. Call a few places (like I did afterwards) and you'll find out the price they charged me was about 450.00 over industry average. I'm glad I just convinced another household not to use them ..... no matter what, even if the manager calls now, I will never, ever recommend them for anything.

They will absolutely rip you off!! After research, we requested quotes from multiple companies for replacement of a new heating system. Our families philosophy is to use the whole company concept and not just price. They weren't the cheapest but also not the most expensive. A rep came out, gave us a decent quote and after a great discussion with the rep and company had a new heater installed.

Bad: Keeping your word for when you say you're coming out. If you can't keep the promised time, call. It shouldn't come down to talking to three individuals and calling multiple tWe had two instances where we waited all day with no one showing up after installing and there were issues.

Good: Their service folks are top notch. After some problems after installing the new heater, we can't complain on who they send out.

Bottom line: We are happy after a few hick ups.  Only recommendation is for the scheduling folks stay in touch with customers if any delay is expected but on a plus side, your schedulers are very friendly and patient. You advertise 2 hour service and can be a little in the not true side. We will keep using you for sure because of the professionalism. Mistakes happen and it's easy to throw stones. Cheers

In December we had a slow drain issue with a shower and a toilet. Hunt's came in to check on it and used a scope which cost $300 not including tax. Their equipment had a crack and the technician couldn't really tell what the issue was. He said that the line seemed clear and went on his way.
It's been months and the issue came up again. We called Hunt's and they sent two techs. The guys were very casual and weren't that professional. I might say down right rude except when my husband came home, they suddenly turned nice and polite.
To diagnose the main tech flushed the toilet and said it looks like everything is fine. I told them no we have a draining issue. So I went upstairs and turned on the showers and flushed toilets. Sure enough, the drain issue appeared. The tech said, I don't know what to tell you. It looks fine. But If you want us to scope it's $300 is that what you want? I said, We have a drain issue. We need it fixed and if you need to scope it then yes.
He got the scope and was pretty curt as if he really didn't want to be there. He said there was a big break in the sewer line and it was under the house. He showed me the screen and I couldn't even really tell where the break was it was so blurry. He said they would have to dig the foundation but had a much more expensive solution that will not require digging. He said they would shoot epoxy through the line at the cost of $8600. We agreed to the price as we were in an emergency situation.

They came in the following day and dug out the area right outside of the house. The main tech said HE BROKE the line because it was made of electrical piping. I had to call my builder to confirm that its and older house and they might have broken and old pipe that attached to the septic.
The tech said to repair, they will have to dig through the house after all. He was very smug saying- I hope it's not under the kitchen cabinets. He said he didn't know exactly where the break was and that it was going to cost $1,000 to $1200 more than the original quote. I asked I thought digging was cheaper than the epoxy. He said, I really don't want to be jackhammering. That's not what we're here to do.
I called another plumbing company and this time a very professional gentleman said he would scope the line for $39 ($43.00 with tax) and will give me the videos so I can make a decision after. His equipment was so clear that I was able to see where the line break was. He showed me exactly what needed to be done to repair the issue was super professional and courteous. He came at a slightly lower price and I needed to make a decision which company to go with.
I called Hunts and told them that when we gave them our credit card, we had agreed to the epoxy solution but haven't gotten any updated scope of work after their tech broke the existing pipe. They directed me to the plumbing manager, Aaron, who was really nice. The issue was that they charged our credit card $4300.00 and couldn't ensure how quickly they could refund it if I cancelled the job.

I decided to follow through with Hunt's mainly because Aaron said he could match the price of the other company and that he was going to guarantee that the job would be done right. That was Friday March 19.

The job was to start today March 20. Aaron leaves me a message at 7 am saying that he had bad news. His crew called in sick and can't do the job. He'd try to get it done tomorrow. All the while we have been without proper plumbing and have been leaving the house to a family member's to use the bathroom shower etc. We've been washing dishes with a hose and laundry has piled up.

I'm leaving this negative review as a PSA to make people aware that Hunt's may not be the best option out there. They have proven to be overpriced, with older equipment, lackadaisical crew and worse yet supremely unreliable despite making assurances otherwise. They were quick to make charges on my credit card and iffy regarding the timeline of refunds.

I will update this review to recommend the company that we are going with once the job is done.

I used Hunt's 2 weeks ago for running a 220v dryer line from the breaker box to garage and it went flawlessly. The work was to code, the guys cleaned up after themselves and left nothing for me to do other than buy a dryer.  5 star experience.

I'm now having them plumb into existing pipes to route hot and cold water for the washer and install a drain as well.  They're promising it to be a 3 day job and was reasonably priced for the amount of work involved.

Update : Completion was delivered as promised and the plumbing work was immaculate.  I'm an aviator and I've got an eye for workmanship and their work was flawless.  Highly recommended and well, well worth the price !

My tenant called me yesterday (Saturday) afternoon about a leaky toilet. Unfortunately, my regular maintenance help was unavailable all weekend so I had no choice but to call a plumber out. I called about 10 different companies and everyone was booked until middle of next week. My rental units each have ONE bathroom so it was urgent for me to get it fixed ASAP. Hunt's Services was the only company that was able to come out during the weekend. As a property manager I know that weekend rates are so much higher, but again, I had no choice.
My tenant's toilet tank had two rusted bolts that needed to be replaced. Andrew from Hunt's Services came out earlier today to replace both bolts and he also recommended I replace the hose to one that's less prone to breaking. He spent about 30 minutes doing the job and it cost me $450. Of course I wasn't happy with the price, but Andrew was very professional and did a good job explaining basic toilet knowledge. His customer service skills made it easier for me to swallow the steep price of not knowing basic toilet repair. This work order was definitely an eye opener for me that I need to learn basic maintenance since I am now a Landlord, but if I ever have a big plumbing issue it's nice to know that Hunt's Services is a reliable company I can call and have had a good experience with.

We had city water flooding into our basement through a drain in the floor. They answered the phone and were able to come within 3 hours which was amazing. The plumber that came to do the inspection was very pushy stating we had to do a camera test and a portion of all of the system would likely need to be replaced. I asked if they could help with the standing water and they said yes but that would be an additional 900 to rent the equipment, I had a sump pump but needed some assistance to hook it up. They would not work with my equipment or instruct what equipment to buy. It was rent theirs or nothing. They seemed frustrated and unwilling to answer questions, or provide any information on what the issues might be but instead told me the services I needed.

Another plumber came out same day and was very communicative. The issue was not my sewer line but that I needed a back flow valve installed to prevent city run off from entering my house (due to excess rains and snowmelt). I am glad I went paid the service charge and went with another company. The $1200 for a new blackflow valve is so better than thousands to replace or fix a systems that was not the problem.

We were charged a $50 fee for a plumber to come out and tell us he could not fix our hot water heater. He then proceeded to give us a RIDICULOUS quote for a replacement. We called another plumbing company and they came out and fixed the hot water heater and at the same time, gave us a much more reasonable quote if we decided to replace in the future. Being charged $50 for a less than 5 minute visit is unacceptable. I will not be using Hunt in the future, and will encourage friends and family to do the same.

UPDATE: I was contacted by Greg from Hunt's customer service department very soon after writing this review. He refunded the charge and was interested in obtaining details about our experience so that they could make sure it didn't happen in the future. I can't comment on the actual service Hunt's provides, but I do appreciate the level of customer service I received. Updated stars from 1 to 3.

Terrible experience. Cost $550 to replace a cartridge- 1 hour of work. Was originally going to do more expansive work that would cost $1200 and then we asked if there was another solution simply for a leaky shower faucet.- that is when the cartridge was replaced. Completed the work, apprentice on the way out stated It must be nice to be rich- something along those lines and left. A few weeks later it starts leaking again (this was in the fall). Husband did the same work, bought another cartridge that cost $50 and now its working well.

It's amazing how shady this business is.  called them out to fix garbage disposal i provided to do simple swap for my parents.  over the phone or on line they wouldn't give me quote for it like this is first time they ever did this kind of job.  Technician called and quoted me $855 for something that will take less than an hour.  it's not only the fact they charge that insulting amount but fact they couldn't quote a price for simple job until they already have you in the hole for $59 just get someone out there.  Thats bad business and very shady.  I don't know who are all these people who gave them 4 stars on review but they really must love getting screwed.

They showed up to connect a sink to waste plumbing and charged us $495. They claimed even though the job would take them 45 mins this is the rate they have to charge. It took them 15 minutes and we had to go through with this as we don't have time to reschedule with other companies. I hope to never work with them again and please reconsider booking an appointment with them.

This company told me they would come service our AC. They just told me the day they would be here. But no time. I requested an afternoon appointment. Afternoon came and no call when they were going to be here. I called around 1 to inquire and was told they still didn't know when the tech would be able to get to us, if at all.

4:30pm came and I got a call from their office to tell me he wouldn't be coming at all. After I cleared my day and had waited all afternoon. They asked if they could reschedule for another day. I already had waited a week for this appointment that they didn't show up for.

I told them thanks but no thanks and called  AAA Heating & Air Conditioning in Kent. They were fantastic, showed UP ON TIME! And were extremely professional and knowledgeable.

Don't bother with Hunts. It's just been a huge hassle and irritation to deal with them. And their cost was $100 more than other places for the same service.

I contacted Hunt's for a minor sewer line repair that already had been scoped and inspected. After surviving the painful back and forth communication with the receptionist ,(talents not related to plumbing or communication) I got a quote for more than $2867.00 plus tax.
I got another licensed bonded and reputable local plumber who did it for $450.00 plus tax. The job was done under an hour.
I know plumbers are expensive, but surely not $2867.00 an hour.
My 2 cents, keep away from these people if you earn your money by working for it.

I called them out to snake our clogged kitchen drain line.  They did good work,  They quoted me $325 to snake the line, on top of their $59 service fee.  It sure would take a little sting out if they credited the service fee toward the work you have done.

While I wouldn't rule them out for future service calls, I'll probably shop around for someone a little cheaper next time.

Refused to give any idea of price after waiting on phone for 15 minutes to talk to agent and then sending pictures per their request. This was a small job and they refused ballpark pricing. They offered to send a tech for $59 to give me a price. I went elsewhere.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Hunts plumbing!  Let me say that they go ABOVE and beyond to meet the customers expectations!

I had foot surgery in early July and here it was, first week in August and my water heater went out.  I was still in the recovery process and unable to get around without crutches or a knee scooter.  Brenna was the first contact I made with the company.  She was friendly, courteous and willing to help me immediately.   This was before I mentioned my fot surgery and inability to move around.  I called back and then spoke to Liz.  LIZ, is a rock star!  I explained my situation and asked if it was possible to get a technician out after hours due to lengthy medical leave.  She was beyond kind to me and worked at length to find a solution.

I then received a call from Corey, who continued to give outstanding service!  Corey knew my situation and went out of his way to get his other call done first so I could finish out my day at work.  He met me at 6pm as promised, and installed my new water heater.  He provided service with a smile and positive attitude the entire time and I can't tell you enough how much that meant to me!!

Hunts Plumbing...you get 10 stars....Thank you so much!!

Called and scheduled regarding a gas line extension. Had an appointment today between 12 & 3, they called and left a message at 11:30 or so and cancelled! I took the day off to be here and they just cancelled with barely any notice.

Called back to see if there's anything they could do as I wasted a day off today. I was told I'm so sorry if you misunderstood and took a whole day off, we didn't do an appointment for this and you were put in a pool and we were going to call when a tech was available Wait, what? I was given a window of time when someone would arrive...and now you're backtracking like that? Sketchy.

But I can make you an appointment next week and I asked what would prevent this from happening again...Oh it'll be on the schedule. WHY wasn't that done to begin with? What is that? Why are you wasting people's time??

I have a whole day wasted to sit and write reviews (and to find a new company).

This is SO frustrating.

Do not recommend. Poorly run. Can't manage their own techs/appointments, gives sketchy excuses passing the blame off to customer.

And we're supposed to trust them with plumbing issues? HARD PASS.

I used Hunt's plumbing about 8 months ago to snake the waste line that the dirty water from the clothes washer goes into.  Now its backing up again so I had them out to take a look again.  I gave 2 stars because they were polite and on time.

The cost to snake the same line as last time has increased in price about 10% from 8 months ago, and they told me to repipe that 10 foot section of pipe will cost $1400!?!  I've repiped whole houses for 5k, but this is only 10 feet, should be way cheaper.

When I balked and asked if they could do it at time and materials (since I know its less than $50 in parts and should only take a few hours and I'm expecting $80-100 per hour) I was told their hourly rate is $400 per hour!  WTF?  Are your plumbers practicing lawyers and doctors on the side or something?  Outrageous pricing for a service plumbing co.

_______________
Edit:
I found another licensed plumbing company who successfully completed the work for $394.

I will say overall I had a good experience with these guys. I had an issue with my bathtub where it was leaking. I tried a few quick fixes on my own, but they did not solve the problem. I was contemplating attempting a bigger fix, but called a plumber first.

First thing is first They are on yelp. I wrote a message and they got back to me pretty quickly. I appreciate that a lot. At this point I have to be honest and state that all of this was about a year ago and I remember having no issues at all, but cannot remember the exact events that took place. The few things I remember are they were on time, quick, and seemed fair. Basically what I was hoping was going to be an easy fix, ultimately was, but was definitely something I would not be able to do. They knocked out the job in a hour or so. It was awesome.

Now here comes the negative aspect of the review. And before I get to this point let me once again say I was ultimately satisfied with the job, what they did was well done. After the work was done he wanted to take a look at the water heater to see if it needed to be replaced. This is when we determined it was 14-15 years old and probably needed to be replaced. This part didnt bother me a lot, but we have waited on the replacement and I definitely see that it needs to be replaced eventually, but I am glad i have waited so far. The part that was not great was getting a quote to replace the toilet. The price felt really high, now to be honest I cannot remember the exact number, but I think it was close to $250/toilet and closet o $500 to replace and purchase of a toilet. Now this price didnt seem crazy at the time, but my brother in law and I replaced my toilet with a new one in about 60-120 mins and it cost the price of the toilet and a case of beer. To sum up the negative I would call the work a bit pricey, and in the future will definitely shop around before choosing a single person. Also I would say the water heater thing was a bit predatory. Overall satisfied, but I will definitely shop around.

They did good work and were generally clean, though there were no booties worn or shoes-off when inside the house. On my own initiative, I ran a fan to dry out the large puddle in the basement work area. I also saved them a callback when they were in their truck ready to leave and I found a valve they had operated was dripping into an interior wall.

The regrets: I failed to understand that a $59 service fee applied regardless of whether the quote was accepted. I also misunderstood the total quote which was presented on a small tablet computer screen outdoors, however that is my fault for not making sure that I was clear on everything in advance.

So, to summarize, they did good work. I am just being a bit of a mister-complainy-pants because I thought the charges were on the high side.

Called last night at 9pm for EMERGENCY service, was told a technician would call shortly. Called AGAIN at 9am asking what had happened. It is now 5pm and NO CALL still. I called the 3rd time and confirmed through the answering service they deployed both previous messages.Horrible service.  The other place I called got back to us in 5 minutes.  Not ok.

I understand you may be busy with the weather, but good customer service is to call your potential clients back so they are not waiting around hoping you will call. And if you can't get to them, to let them know. The temperature is now 52 degrees in the house. Not that your business cares.

So disappointed with their customer service. Had them out to clear a clogged drain which they said they were leaving a thing of bio-clean to use on the drain. We asked if there was an additional charge for the bio-clean and were told that there was not. Paid the $500+ bill, which we thought was too high, and asked for the invoice. We were told the invoice would be sent via email. Sure enough when we received the email the invoice had a charge of $89 for the bio-clean. Called multiple times requesting a refund. Finally received an email back - not a call - that they would not be refunding the price of the bio-clean as they believe that we were informed of the additional cost. There is no way we would have agreed to the cost for something like that. We have used Hunts a few times in the past and we're planning on using them more. After this incident we will not be using their services at all. I would advise others to also rethink using them. Check out the bbb complaints and note that their business practice seems to be to offer refunds after a poor review has been left - as long as the customer removes the complaint and signs a waiver. That right there is a red flag! Think. Check things out. Find another service company to use.

After the dust has settled from my first and I hope last encounter with Hunt Services, I feel like this experience was a cross between a walk down the garden path and being left in the woods on a snipe hunt.    I  was on the internet looking for someone to do some electrical work around our home and I filled out a work request form and I received a call from Hunt Services.  I was told about the $99.00 service call fee and scheduled a appointment.  When the employees showed up to get the info on my project, not once did they offer me a written estimate.  I asked the employee if he needed a deposit and he told me no, the only thing I was being charged for that day was the $99.00 service fee.  Wrong.  I checked my credit card statement the next day and there was a charge on my account for ($1, 289.63)   I provided all of the products to complete this project.   The  2 employees who came to the house were very efficient and knowledgeable about electrical issues and they had the project completed in 3 hours.  I asked for a invoice to pay my bill and I was told one would be sent to my email account.    Our printer was not working at this time so it took me a couple of days for the ton of bricks to come crashing down on me when I did finally  see this invoice.   I was being charged ($2,456.43)  for this 3 hour project.  The last time I looked Electricians were getting about $40.00  per hour, not $400.00.  The one charge that really frosted my cookies was for  ($676.66)  to install 2 (4' plug in florescent light fixtures above a shelf in the garage.  We all like to see a business do well in these hard times, but this was more than just being heavy handed.  I would strongly recommend that you avoid having to use any of Hunts Services, if this is how normal business is done'   RIP  OFF

Update -- the technician arrived the following Monday, nice and early, and began the work on repairing the kitchen light, installing a ceiling light in dining room and one in living room and installing an outside electrical outlet. Work was completed within a few hours, cleaned up afterwards and produced work of a very good standard.
Aside from the initial problem with miscommunication on the original appointment day, we were pleased with the work.

Expensive....really expensive and beware, they never gave us a quote before work was started. Charged $530 for 2 hours of labor and only replaced two 1/2 inch nipples for parts. Assuming the parts were $30 total which seems somewhat reasonable that equates to $250 per hour for labor which is seems quite excessive even in Seattle's hot market, especially with no warning or initial estimate.

Background: We had a leaky kitchen faucet and i will give kudos to Alfredo for his professionalism, plumbing knowledge and quality of work. Although these were some great positives, we were very disappointed that there was no quote after he diagnosed the problem and but instead just continued working.

When he gave us the bill we were quite sticker shocked. We have phone records to show that he was in our house for exactly 2 hours to verify the labor per hour breakdown. The above price I mentioned doesn't even include our Sunday service fee of $260 (This is market standard for Sunday services so i totally understand this fee) but as you can imagine, when your plumber completes only 2 hour's worth of work, and uses only two small parts, the ~$900 total price with taxes seems a bit unreasonable  and thus was overall quite a disappointing experience.

I contacted them yesterday for an appointment today. I was told I would get a phone call 45 minutes before they would come over. I set my appointment for the afternoon that had no window. About 4:30 this afternoon which to me would be the end of the afternoon, I called and was told that I was the next one on the list and that they would be calling me soon to let me know when they were coming over. I will not recommend them and I will not contact them again. so much for Google recommendation

I'm looking for the installation of a new garbage disposal and removal of the old one. I called the Hunt's Services but they refused to give me a quote, instead they said they would send out technicians to evaluate the work and give the estimate of the cost, with $59 minimum dispatch fee.

We scheduled an open window from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, however, with such a wide time window, they still ended up being late for 15 minutes, without any explanation.

But then when the technician inspected the kitchen, he said there needs some extra work done to reroute the pipes so it will cost a total of $612 before tax for the work, which is 1.5 hours as they said!

I don't think this price is honest, and I got a quote from some other companies that the total labor should not go over $200 even if like they said, some pipes need to be rerouted to fit the new garbage disposal.

I would have given them 1 star if not eventually they waived the $59 dispatch fee because of some technical issues. Otherwise, you would have just paid that money for nothing, or an over priced bill.

Will not use them again.

They were reasonably quick with a reasonable price to diagnose the hot water tank. That's how they get their foot in the door. Within minutes of the arrival they were quoting me a price  of over $1900 to replace 1-40 gal gas HW tank. I could buy a brand new tank for around $400 at home depot, so they want $1500 for an hour's labor? WTF! What a rip-off! I was a general contractor for about 15 years in a younger life, so I have an idea about what things should cost. Being retired and laid up with a bad wrist this wasn't a task I could take on myself. I made a second call. The second plumber charged me $1200 to replace the tank. It was still a steep price but a lot more reasonable that Hunt's price!

Hunt's Services: A lesson in deplorable business practice

Summary: Update still getting runaround on refund July 14 2017.
Missed every deadline set by themselves,
Improper information between tech and office to customer,
2-2.5 day job has now reached 5 weeks (still not complete)
Wanted paid before job complete. I was assured the job was ready for inspection so I reluctantly paid. Their work failed building inspection.
Latest update: 6-11-2017 I made arraignments to have Hun'ts services complete my install having to work around their schedule 5 weeks after starting install. They were to come out and move the branch box that caused a failed inspection and add seismic support which caused failed inspection. I had someplace to be at 7pm and made that clear. They arrived at 7:30 am and finally left at 10pm had to cancel my plans. Now system does not work and is making noise. For fear of damage I cannot use the system.
Filling with BBB.
UPDATE: On Monday June 12, 2017  tech arrived and explained the system was improperly wired. Rewired and now system works and finally passed inspection. Started May 8, 2017 Completion June 16, 2017. 6 weeks, failed inspection after guaranteeing work and wired improperly after guaranteeing work.
Now waiting on refund for services that will not be rendered.

I will never use this Hunts Services again! The first time I called Hunts was 5am Saturday morning with an emergency clogged sewer drain. They did not return my call until late Saturday afternoon. I ended up clearing the drain myself. I called Hunts Services on Tuesday because I wanted to get the sewer line inspected to see what is going on make sure there is not a break in the line. I asked the person the phone how much the sewer inspection would be. She was friendly and quoted me the price of 249.00 I was okay with that. Once the technicians arrived they could not locate the cleanout (it was right in front of their faces if they would of took their time to look ) and they suggested they do the inspection from the inside of the home. They tried to charge me more then double the original estimate. Nope nope and nope!

I had Hunts come to my home in November when it really started getting cold because my old furnace went out. They responded quickly and came out that week (2 kids my wife and I am freezing space heaters weren't cutting it) the guy that came started off well he wore booties dressed in work clothes seemed professional then he diagnosed my furnace that's a bit over 20 years old. He said the part that went out isn't made anymore so unless I can find it used they need to replace the whole unit. (Can't confirm this because they took the old one but talking to other professionals not very likely old furnaces are often able to be repaired) then the only furnace they had available was almost $10,000 but very efficient (no A/C with this unit gas unit) has a fancy 2 stage fan and things we weren't really concerned with. Luckily they had a finance plan usually would of shopped around but we were all freezing so we got the unit.

Once the unit was installed the house was nice cozy and warm again.... On the bottom floor due to the fancy fan it wasn't pushing enough air upstairs like our old furnace did. So we paid almost 3x what we could of and got a furnace that didn't work as well. Obviously the technicians get a cut for the more expensive equipment they sell and make the customer fell like they need it. I did give them a chance to try and fix it and the guy came and made it so the fan is always on basically making it less efficient than my old one. Only positive thing I have to say is the lady on the phone seems really nice and they were able to respond quicker than others although I wish I would of waited for someone else.

None of the drains in our home were draining, so we had contacted the property manager to get it fixed. Hunt is who they sent out.
We had expressed interest in the proceedings,  asking what the problem was, what they were doing to fix it. All they'd say was It's hard to tell. That was the last we heard. Not impressed with the poor communication.
UPDATE - I've upped it a star because a second team came out from Hunts that finished the job. The first truck didn't have the camera and 50 foot snake to clear the main house line all the way to the city main.  They were a bit more forthcoming with communication. They did much to improve my impression of the company, but the first team not saying anything is a tough customer service gaff to overcome.

This company is a rip off. The company either is very incompetent or they are running a scam.
I contacted Hunt Service after locating their information on Angie's list to unclog a bathtub drain in a duplex that I owned. The tech came out took a look and quoted me $399.99 to snake both tub drains. I was later informed via a phone call that he was unable to clear the drain after snaking only the one unit and that the situation would require another approach.
When I asked what were my options he informed me that he would have to replace all the old galvanized pipes under the duplex at a cost of approximately $3,000. I asked if could provide me with an estimate so that I can compare it with additional estimates that I would be obtaining. The tech informed me he would have to locate the pipes first before he can quote me an estimate; he asked if there was a crawl space under the house. I had assumed that he would have located the crawl space, the drain and the water cut off before attempting to unclog the tub. The final estimate came out to be 4,640.00.

The next day I was able to locate Conan Drain Cleaning service who came out and cleared the clog with a single application of the snake through the kitchen drain at a price of 259.00. It took Conan one attempt and he came and left inside of 30 minutes. This guy was a blessing. I asked him why Hunt's tech could not clear the clog and his response was that the Hunt tech didn't know what they were doing.
I will be writing a letter requesting my 465.00 charge refunded for either total incompetents or for running a scam on the paying public.

Called Hunts regarding what we thought was a faulty hot water tank.  It was a Sunday.  They said they would be out and would call us in advance. We discovered that the problem was just a pilot light out and corrected the problem ourselves.  But before I was able to contact them to cancel they just showed up unannounced with 2 technicians.  They billed us $174.00 just for coming out.  We had a couple conversations regarding the issue and the bill to no avail.  They threatened to send it to collections if we didn't pay and would not even agree to lessen the amount.

Talked to another plumbing company about the issue  with Hunt and was advised that they are a pretty ruthless company to work with.

We would never in a million years use this company again and after reading all of the bad reviews (sorry we didn't check previous to calling them) we would recommend people stay clear.

Family moved to Lakewood, Wa from New York and noticed the next door neighbor utilized Hunt's and was in shock - the go to for plumbing, heating/cooling, electric, and drain/sewer-that's sweet. No need to call different people for various things and Hunt's became the Go-To. Called Ashley and Christine to make appointments and they were ever so nice and pleasant making the entire experience from the start as sweet as can be. Bought a sink from Home Depot and Hunt's was first to call and respond to request to install a sink. Hunt's sent out Tristan and Alfredo to install the sink and I almost dropped to the floor when they told me the price to install the new one and take out the old one-very inexpensive. Tristan and Alfredo removed the old sink and put in the new one, tested everything out and made sure everything was good before leaving.  Called them for estimates for electric and they converted a regular light bulb to LED for two outside lights so the house shines at night. 5 stars for that! Met Dennis - transparent, direct, tells you what you need and technicians Sean and Chris came out to replace the furnace that served it's 44 year old time. Dennis made things happen and told us they can install the new furnace the next day. We were happy but stayed in a hotel for the night since it was too cold for my senior citizen parents to stay in the frigid house. Dennis communicated to me they could not make it on appointment day and were able to make it out the next day. One of the awesome technicians named Sean said, Dennis told me you had to stay in a hotel so no point in waiting until Saturday let's get it done now. I appreciate the fact everyone here at Hunt's has a heart and can put themselves in the shoes of the customer and proceed. Sean and Chris came out to the house the next day after picking up the furnace arriving at said time and worked tirelessly from 11 am to late evening at around 8pm taking out the old furnace and installing the new one. Hours later, the house is heating up stronger and more efficiently. Thank You Hunt's for consistently super service. Hunt's has great honest customer service oriented hardworking individuals and Ive seen that consistently. Having a business BBB certified with an A rating is always an added bonus and provides another level of security. Thank You Hunt's you have earned our business and loyalty for the long haul!

We recently had an issue with a shutoff valve/water line. I was able to call and speak to a plumber on the phone to get an estimate for the time involved and cost. It ended up costing almost double, partly because when he arrived there was more work necessary to repair the issue.

There were a few communication issues with getting the estimate, so I actually didn't know how much it would cost until he arrived. But, it needed to get fixed, he arrived early (with a call ahead), repaired the problem, and was on his way. It was also nice that they were able to send someone out the same day I called.

Overall, it was a good experience, but I am taking away one star because communication between the office people, myself, and the plumber could have been a bit better.

Hunts Plumbing to the rescue! No one loves to need to call a plumber BUT what a pleasure to have such a professional team!  Alfredo is so awesome!
Shut off valve replace & drain snaked without a footprint or speck of evidence! These guys show up in very nice clean company vehicles and uniforms. Entering your house & immediately putting on shoe covers without even being asked!  It is so reassuring to know when in need of these services there is a team of professionals you can count on for excellent value for price and prompt response.
Office staff is also knowledge of time frames for expected service and extremely lovely to interact with at each junction of service
ONLY PLUMBING COMPANY I WOULD RECOMMEND

ALL THESE PEOPLE WANT IS YOUR MONEY! I will give this company 1 star ONLY because of Jordan the gal who answers the phones. She was very friendly and understanding. She took a complaint from me and passed it on to her managers who never reached out to me. After 3 weeks I called back to find out what was going on. I spoke with Jordan again and she transferred me to her manager Greg. Greg has zero customer service skills and isn't fit to have manager in his title. My problem was I had an outlet in my kitchen that wasn't working. I had pushed the reset button several times and couldn't get it to work so I called this company. They sent out two technicians. They hadn't even been in my house 5 minutes when the man during his troubleshooting disclosure reached over and pushed the reset button on the socket and it started working! Well they must have thought they were dealing with an idiot because they tried to charge me upwards of $200 bucks for 5 minutes of talking and no service provided. He ended up knocking it down to $170 which is absolutely still an unreasonable amount. Greg the manager believes this is fair and doesn't see anything wrong with the companies policy even though he admitted to me he had the exact same complaint the day before I filed mine and that's why he never got back to me because he thought they were the same one! I will make sure our landlord never uses this company for any of his properties because they are a rip off. I would have felt fine paying $100 but anything over that is ridiculous. Save your money and go with another company. Hunts Sucks.

I contacted HomeAdvisor's.com for a plumber to replace an existing electric water heater for my brother, who is a challenged person. He is able to work and tries to maintain his home but has difficulty with personal contact with strangers. Hunts services came out and installed a replacement hot water heater, drip pan and expansion tank. They charged my brother, who would not challenge anyone on anything, nearly $2,400.00 for the installation I described, in a very easy accessible place. So a water heater, drip pan, expansion tank and 4 hours labor cost $2,400.00. If your looking to hire these guys, be sure you ask them the bottom line. Otherwise you'll end up with a bill like this. By the way, they charged him $348.00 for the expansion tank. The most expensive one I could find at Home Depot was $87.00. They charged him $135.00 for a drip pan. The most expensive one at Home Depot was about $50.00. Nuff Said?

Called and scheduled an appointment on Monday, got a time slot for Wednesday. Then they called me on Tuesday and said that they could not come out becuase their technicians were held up and had to move it to Thursday. Today is thursday, and it is past noon, and they call me again to let me know that they can't come out because their technicians are held up. It may work once to give an excuse, but when you get the same excuse two times in a row you have to wonder. 1. are they incompetent in their scheduling, or 2 do they just not care?

Similar situation as Stephanie R. below... - I called to schedule an appointment. They told me they don't do appointments (which is a little frustrating for those of us who work), but could give me a 4-hour window of when they could arrive, with a call 30 minutes before arriving. I scheduled the date/time and waited... That day, in the middle of the time frame that was provided, they called and said an emergency came up and wouldn't be able to work on my furnace. They apologized and we rescheduled for today and gave me a 2-hour window for this morning... - 15 minutes before the end of my 2-hour window, I receive a call saying another emergency came up and they wouldn't be able to come out again... They asked to reschedule and I told them how frustrated I was and would not be working with them again... I took time off work all for nothing. This company obviously cannot handle non-emergency calls and should not be in the business of scheduling regular maintenance appointments, if they can't keep their appointments.

Did not show up for scheduled appointment, waited over two hours and when I called to find out where the technician was, no one called back for over 3 hours. I couldn't have been happier with the job that Hunt's plumbing completed for me yesterday. Their estimate was much better than Hart's plumbing, and was a fair amount for the work being done. Carlos took the time to go through the locations of the waste pipes with me, and caught a couple items I didn't think of. They were able to get the pipes in the exact locations I needed them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else.

Jayson is a SAVIOR!!! Our bathrooms both flooded while at work and after calling around for 2 hours, he was the only company that would come out early the next morning without robbing us blind! It took some research (because we live in an older house) and thought we had everything fixed, then the same thing happened again on Friday night around 10pm. I was SO frustrated, tired of mopping up toilet water and washing all my towels but I called him right away and he came out at 8:30am on Saturday morning to look at it again. Turns out we had a whole in our sewer pipe leading out of the house in our backyard, but since it wasn't leaking then we never would have known!

I think the quality of service and prices were very good compared to other local businesses. He was right there, answered his phone and was able to calm me down and discuss options that were fair and reasonable.

We would definitely recommend him for any plumbing, heating or cooling issues you may have. 5 stars!!!

We had a pipe spring a leak on a Saturday night so we turned the water off to the entire house.  Called first thing Sunday morning and Hunt's Services replied promptly and were out in about an hour to an hour and a half.  Alfredo was very professional and knowledgeable and fixed the pipe to our complete satisfaction!  Of course it did cost us a bit more since it was a weekend and fell under emergency service, but we were told upfront what the upcharge was and decided it was worth it to us to get our water back on to our home.  Would definately recommend and we will be calling again the next time we need a plumber.  Thank you!

0 stars..quoted over $3000 for a variety of things,  including hot water tank..they were originally called for  a kitchen sink leak. He said wall needed to be cut open.  Also added another item..I called my plumber in Port Orchard to drive to Titlow beach area- he did everything for less than  $300!!! Was told by him that the temp dial had been turned off  ,and discovered that after I'd spent time at Home Depot buying a hot water tank and arranged for hvac guy to install,  which I had to cancel and return.   Very shady practice.

I requested a quotation to replace my hot water heater from this company a big plus they did not charge to come out and develop a quotation.  They looked at the unit and provided me a quote on the spot. My concern was they charged a cost for the tank as a line item with installation and all connections and lines. They also had a second line item for the expansion tank and connections at a cost of $259.00.  I thought it was a bit high and asked the Technician why, he stated, these tanks must be replaced every four years when he left, I did my own research and sized the required expansion tank due to volume and pressure  and found the replacement unit costs run between $40 - $55.  All my other quotes for the entire installation was less than the number they presented just for the tank. I am disappointed being deliberately misled for the purpose of the company's excessive profit margin. Just as a FYI for all who is looking at this company for service.

I had a main water shutoff valve problem in my house that was caused by a repair job I attempted to perform myself with (almost) success. Since I didn't have running water as a result of this, I needed to get someone out ASAP to get it fixed.
I called first thing on a Monday morning and was put on the schedule to have someone out the same day. I got a call from the dispatcher around noon.

They charge a $59 dispatch fee to have someone come out, but they will look everything over and quote out what it would cost to replace it. I'm not usually a fan of the mandatory service fee, because you're a captive audience at that point, but the two technicians that came out were very cordial and to-the-point when assessing my situation and how much it would cost to repair. If you don't like the quote, you're only out the $60. I called a few other places that charged near double that just to have someone come out.
Corey did an excellent job on the task and was very respectful to the fact that it was due to a DIY-er who just couldn't get the job done right. He explained what typically goes wrong with plumbing projects and was willing to offer suggestions for future projects.
He even checked out my water heater and validated our water pressure and mentioned that the heater was due for a replacement -- with no arm-twisting.
They cleaned up after themselves and were out in about 90 mins.

I would definitely recommend for your plumbing needs (or electrical/HVAC)!

My house was hot! I called Jason at Hunt's Plumbing and Mechanical, and he stopped by(the next day) and measured, checked the furnace and then gave me 4 options for AC, within 2 days. I chose a heat pump/ new furnace and Jason arranged financing. Almost immediately, I was approved for very affordable payments, at an excellent rate! The men from Hunt's Plumbing were efficient, courteous, careful with my elderly dog( who tried to sneak out the gate) and now I have a cool home! They cleaned everything and vacuumed( it looks better than when they arrived) I am so glad I called them. Not only did they make the whole experience hassle-free, they educated me about heat pumps, too!

Called to get a quote to install custom wiring for internet. Lady responded with $99 safety inspection fee when technician comes over for an estimate. I said no and that I just had the home inspected professionally and the inspector was impressed by the condition the electric was in. She replies they'll remove fee if I work with them. I agree. Technician comes over and doesn't look at ANY electrical work in my home, nor does he look at the circuit breaker box in the basement. He then quotes me $600 dollars to run ONE cable from outside through basement into ONE wall outlet (a straight line from outside about 20 feet through the basement). I said no that's too expensive. He then drops price to $450. I still say no. He then says they will be sending a $99 bill (that same fee stated earlier). Not wanting to pay a fee to them and find another electrician, I decided to agree. The job took TWENTY MINUTES and I paid $450 dollars for one cable. They used that $99 fee to incentivize you to work with them. Disgusting practice if you ask me with an expensive service to boot. Do not work with this company.

Knew their stuff and were very polite. Nice guys.

We were having issues with a water line not feeding the ice maker in a subzero fridge.

Initially had them come out to regulate water pressure; the next day there was no pressure. They did come out but didn't fix it 100%. I stuck with them and had a faucet and toilet installed.  Faucet a little off, but not that noticeable. I had them come out again to install a utility sink and we purchased a new faucet from them for the sink that was installed. We requested a wall bracket, new goose neck for the faucet and extra stainless leg for the stainless sink for which we were told they'd order and install.  Heard nothing; called over half dozen times & emails.  No response at all.  Not even given the courtesy of notifying us they won't do what they said they were going to do.  I gave 2 stars because when here, the tech was very pleasant.

Wonderful service! Corey and Josh were total professionals. Superb attention to detail and customer service. My 15 year old (!) gas water heater was literally finished. When they first arrived, Corey told me what the basic cost would be and what was available for an extra cost should I choose. However, he didn't try to push  extras on me. He explained the advantages of the extra cost features and I was left to make up my own mind.He and Josh got right to work and now I have a brand new gas water heater. YAY!!! They were so polite..not the least judgmental about all the dirt and debris (thank you!!!).. they even offered to clean the floor!! And they made sure to close the gate so no dogs escaped! Plumbers forever!!!

We had a leaking single stem shower faucet and it also was slow to drain.  Contacted another plumbing company that we previously used, both online and phone message.  That outfit never returned contact, so we went on the hunt (pun intended) for another plumbing company.  Found Hunt's Plumbing on a web search Sunday night, used their contact us button on their website.  Monday morning received a call back, scheduled a same day appointment.  So far all is good with my Hunt's Plumbing experience.
The plumber called within the 2 hour window given for the appointment, said he'd be here in 15 minutes.  True to his word he arrived within that time frame.  Quickly began his work on the issues at hand, correctly identified why it drained slowly (not a clog like we had thought), took care of the leak, cleaned up and was well on his way.
Speedy response, timely repair, efficiency at it's best.  Will use Hunt's again and without a doubt will recommend them to anybody needing plumbing work.
