Best Leak Detection in San Francisco CA

Raphael and Marcellino from BeastBay are super polite and ultra hard-working plumbers. I had shopped around and called them in for an estimate. I worked with the owner on Yelp messenger to set up an appointment for the estimate. The owner was very polite and quick in responding to my inquiry.

On the day of the estimate, Raphael arrived right on time to evaluate my situation. I had a few leaks and the previous work on my pipes was not the best. To put a long story short, I needed my pipes redone (totaling over 60 feet of pipe that stretched across my entire house) and needed to fix a leak in my shower and under my toilet. I also wanted a new toilet and faucet installed in my bathroom.

The next day, Raphael came over with Marcellino. They worked over 12 hours to get everything done. They hit a few snags but that is to expected when you live in an older house and replacing parts that are the same age as the house.

They rolled out thick paper to line my hallways and bedroom and taped it down so the paper was secure. They kept me up-to-date with the installation process. They vacuumed and swept while they were packing up too. I am super happy in how they worked in my home and helped me understand the details of the situation during the estimate and during the installation. It was a huge project and they did a great job.

I have always felt confidant with these local plumbers.  I went to High School with Steve and Sandy's sons, Scott and Spencer and was so happy to have them show up at my door when I had my first home owner's emergency.  They always walk me through what has to be done, and when it's all over, everything is clean, tight and working perfectly.  We just had a tankless water heater installed and the job went exactly as planned and even when I needed a minor follow up visit, they were happy to help me the very next day!  Love it!  Friendly, family oriented, reliable  and always willing to pet the dogs even when they are barking!

We had last used Tromborg Royal 2 years ago. At that time their work was skillful and their price very reasonable.
This morning I left two messages for Stanley, received no response, and around midday made arrangements with a different plumber.

Courteous, prompt and professional! We had a leak in our backyard, just before the irrigation system. Due to the location of the leak we had to turn off the water to the whole house. Advanced Plumbing and Drain was able to come out quick, and stop the leak, so we could get our water running again. Highly recommend, and will definitely use them for future plumbing projects!

I cannot say enough good things about Joven. We live in an older home with older everything and Joven always comes through, whether it's a clogged bathtub or issues with our garbage disposal. He's very responsive, honest and does a great job. Also VERY reasonably priced! We are grateful and lucky to have him just a few blocks away from us!

Luis was super responsive and was able to get the job done the same day. Highly recommend and would definitely use again.

These guys are honest. Fair price and very helpful.  No bs.  I saw my neighbor who i believe is in the trades use these guys which for me is a good sign.  Ill continue to use them.  I contacted other plumbers through yelp who all wanted to do same day service but wouldnt just come out and give me only an estimate.  I believe in price shopping before i do it.  I did contact a friend who has a plumbing friend and tild me their price was good.  Fast high quality fair price!

Edgardo arrived exactly on time, suitably masked.   He was polite and friendly.  The job -- installing an under-counter water filter plus new faucet -- was not that complicated, and he completed it in under the hour.

When our water heater finally goes, Edgardo will be the one to call.

Zayah was on time, knowledgeable, asked enough questions to make sure we were on the same page, but was unobtrusive and efficient. He diagnosed Missi ng parts we needed, took a quick trip to the store in my behalf, and replaced our disposal/repaired some broken sink plumbing quickly and cleanly. Strong recommend!

They helped me with some leaking valves. Arrived the day after I called, finished the work quickly and didn't overcharge. I look forward with working with them again when the next inevitable plumbing disaster takes place.

This morning, we noticed that our hot water had stopped working. We called Wizard Plumbing and Drain, and asked them to come out and take a look at our water heater. Their appointments were totally booked out for today, but still they were able to slot us in for someone to come out first thing in the morning. I greatly appreciated them going out of their way to slot us in.

Within 10 minutes of their scheduler, Gregg from Wizard Plumbing showed up, and was able to identify the problem (pilot issue with the Rheem heater), and fix it very very quickly. He was done in less than 5 minutes flat, and was amazingly efficient. Great customer service, and amazing customer empathy. Next time you have a plumbing issue, please ask for Gregg (from Wizard Plumbing of course)!! Thank you, Gregg - you saved the day for us.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL - Apparently Some Customers Are Not Good Enough

Alansi gave me a verbal estimate for a laundry sink install. It took them over a week and many phone calls to get a final written quote. The final bid said extending the dryer gas line and installing a faucet was suddenly optional work (more $$$), which was not optional in person. I called the contractor who agreed the gas line should have been included but not the faucet because we didn't explicitly discuss it. I said, umm, of course anyone installing a sink assumes it includes a faucet install! Yes, my issue was drainage but if I'm buying a new utility sink I'd expect a faucet installed and not just an empty tub! Apparently this common sense perspective was unpersuasive and he said the manager would call. An hour later I get an email back (see photos) saying they don't want my business because I'm changing the terms (not true).

I called them back and let's just say it's clear there is something they don't like about me as a customer. It seems to be going around these days. The whole experience was demeaning and very unprofessional. Keep in mind, they didn't come back and say Hey, it looks like there is some miscommunication about the faucet install. It will cost an additional X to do it. That would've been reasonable. Instead, they just told me to shove off.

From other reviews it looks like they do good work, if they approve of you as a customer. Well I didn't pass the test, so I'll never know. Food for thought when you select your next plumber.

UPDATE: The owner called the next day and left a voicemail hoping I would delete this review. When I didn't, he left his comment below. With regard to his comments.

1-We did not do any work for you.
Yes, that's true - I never said you did. This review is based on your treatment of me as a prospective customer and misleading me on the quote.

2-You did not agree to the contract price.
Yes, you are absolutely right because any normal person getting a sink installed assumes that includes installing a faucet.

3 -you did not want to resolve discrepancy but rather argued how the additional work should have been included in the bid.
See #2 above. Also, I would have loved to resolve the discrepancy but you decided that sinks don't need faucets and I was trying to fleece you. Instead of offering me an updated quote, you just told me to shove it. Good luck to your other customers.

4-You had been rude on the phone and raising you voice.
Well I wasn't happy spending weeks to track you down only to find out that Alansi sinks don't come with faucets and when I raised this issue, you dropped me like a bad habit!

5-you made threats to write bad reviews.
Absolutely because you have horrible customer service and you don't think installing a sink includes a faucet.

Finally, I don't think I'm out of bounds trying to find the best plumber at the lowest price. If it hurts your feelings to discuss/negotiate pricing, perhaps you should find a new line of work.

Called Frank and left message, he called back same day to make afternoon appointment for a slow bathtub drain unclog. $350 to snake from roof drain.

Kenny was amazing.

I needed some pipes re-routed for my shower.  

Kenny responded quickly and was able to get the job done in 1 hour when others had quoted me for 4 hours.  

Will definitely call Kenny the next time I've got a plumbing need!

Never have I been so impressed! After 4 plumbing companies told us that our problem could only be solved by removing the bathtub and replacing it with a shower (a remodel), Ignacio Islas from Plumbing Guys came in to provide an estimate for the remodel. He looked at the drain, then looked at me and asked me if he could try one more thing. He did and fixed the clog that 4 other companies told me wasn't fixable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and celebrate Ignacio's creativity and willingness to do the right thing!

It's never fun to come home to a clogged kitchen drain, especially on the Sunday of a holiday weekend.  We reached out to a b drain and spoke with an extremely professional representative that scheduled Raffi to come to our house the same day.  Not only did Moses arrive earlier than expected but he was professional, straightforward, and great to work with.  He also walked us through each step he took, making us feel very confident in the work performed.  I highly recommend him!

Joel and team were exceptional.  I can't recommend them highly enough especially in emergency situations.  

I reached out to Golden Coast Plumbing last night in a panic because the sewer system in my new build home was backing up through the shower in my first floor guest room.  Nightmare.  We were up until 3am cleaning and bleaching the floors and trying to figure out who to call to help us.

Joel responded to my message right away (couldn't believe he messaged me back at 1:30am) and was out with his crew first thing in the morning.  He even rearranged his schedule to help us resolve our emergency.  Truly went above and beyond.

Joel and the team quickly unclogged the sewer line and provided a thorough explanation of the issue and provided me with helpful information to take back to my HOA.  Joel and his two technicians were timely, friendly, helpful and efficient.  Joel was patient with me as I asked several follow up questions to make sure I knew what steps I needed to take after they left.

Lastly, the cost of the service was lower than I had anticipated.  The value for the service was incredible.

Please consider hiring Joel and the team at Gold Coast Plumbing.  We're customers for life after this extremely positive experience.

I called them to fix my toilet at my business. The toilet wasn't flushing. It needed a new handle and a new rubber stopper because the tab at the top was broken. The guy said he needed to go to the hardware store to buy those parts so it would be an extra $28 for the parts. No problem! 2 months later...having the same issues. My husband looked at it and said....these are the original parts in here...that guy didn't replace anything!! I looked and sure enough they were!!! I was shocked. He charged me $250 to replace NOTHING and do NOTHING!!! The reason I didn't catch this at the time was because I had to leave after he told me what he needed to do and my employee wrote him a check. Shame on him for taking the money and not replacing any of the parts. He rigged it somehow so that the toilet worked for a month but then we started having the same issues again. My husband went the hardware store...all parts were $15 and it took him 20 min to install. I will call him next time! And to make things worse...I called Bay Rooter 2 days ago and still no call. If you call them...make sure you are watching the entire time they are doing the job!

These guys ROCK!  My kitchen sink got clogged when I put too much food down it and didn't run enough water while using the disposal.  It was close to 5pm when I originally called VanGo Rooter, and I was worried I would be hit with after hours fees.  The kind gentleman on the phone explained they were open 24 hours and did not charge after hours fees.  He said he could get a plumber out to my place within the hour (I live in Daly City).  Ace showed up not long after that call-he was great!  He went through a few steps to see how bad the clog was; and within 20-30 minutes he had my sink unclogged.  He also explained what I should and should not put down the disposal.  Ace was professional, polite, efficient, and thorough; couldn't ask for more!
