Brandon and Adam did an amazing job explaining service options and pricing.  They removed my old water heater and replaced it with the same capacity and did it with a smile! They had amazing customer service and they will now be my plumbing company of choice!

Henry is amazing! He responded within an hour to my request for a garbage disposal installation, quoted a fair price and set an appointment with me the next day. He communicated updates on timing via text and arrived on the earlier side of the service time window (much appreciated). Payment and checkout was easy as well. ETA: I have edited the review to add a photo that shows the written estimate that Cody sent me after we got off the phone. Before accusing a customer of lying, one would be smart to check their records and make sure they don't have proof to back up their claims. As noted, my initial interactions with this company left me feeling they were less than honest with their lack of transparent pricing. However, the harassment by Cody and Adam after leaving a 3-star review initially are what earned them a 1-star review. The reply to this one-star review below tells you all you need to know about Cody's character. In looking at other low reviews (to which PlumbSmart replied to every single one, blaming the customer), I now see that others have mentioned their high-pressure sales tactics. BUYER BEWARE!

P.S. Apparently this company works really hard to get Google to remove any review that is not 5-star, even when the review states facts and has receipts to prove it. I now realize PlumbSmart's 5-star rating on Google is not authentic. As Cody mentioned, Yelp does not allow businesses to bully or buy their way out of low reviews. Thank goodness!

Original Review: I reached out to this company for a quote for a water softener installation for our new home. The price I was quoted was $3,000 for the cheapest water softener they sell, plus an extra $2,000 for a carbon filter. That's high compared to other quotes, but no big deal. Companies can make up whatever price they wish.

The kicker for me was that I couldn't get a straight answer on the price to install a plumbing loop. I was told it would be between $800-$1500, but they would need to come out to the house to give me a price. Okay, that's fine. However, I was then told I was going to be charged $79 for a tech to come out to the house to tell me the price for the install. They advertise here on Yelp, Free Estimates, but apparently that is false advertising (see photo).

The final thing that didn't sit well is that they wanted me to commit to having the work done on the day that they came out to give the quote. I don't make a decision on a purchase that is over $6,000 on the spot. That is a very high pressure sales tactic. Ultimately, this made me choose another company.

That alone led to a 3-star Google review. However, after leaving that review, the two owners of the company, Cody and Adam, harassed me so much that I lowered my review to 1-star. What did that harassment look like? They collectively called and texted me TWELVE times in the span of one hour, calling from different numbers when I didn't answer the first number. They likely would have continued, but I blocked their numbers.

Clearly, they have some other good reviews, so I sincerely hope they were (both?) having an off day when they blew up my phone on Monday. However, based on the fact that they worked so hard to get me to take down my honest (3-star) review recounting my experience with their company, I question the legitimacy of their 5-star rating here. While I did not end up hiring them, my experience with them absolutely reflects their professionalism--or lack thereof. I called BG Plumbing for a jammed disposal, and Tsanko (the business owner and master plumber) arrived within 20 minutes of me calling.  His $49 charge for a service WAS HALF of what 2 other plumbers I called charge.

Joaquin was very friendly and went above and beyond to explain what he was doing and what our plumbing issues were and gave several options as to go about fixing it. It was a simple unclogging  of the cleanout and he brought out the pipe camera and showed the interior of the pipes. Would  highly recommend and plan to use Andre's Pro Plumbing for all our future plumbing needs!

We had them out recently to try and figure out why we had a puddle in our yard. He was quick to get back to us, and we loved that he was located in Manor. We also appreciated his knowledge and honesty when he correctly stated that it was a problem with the city's water line. We will for sure hire him again if we ever have another need for a plumber.

Like all the rest, I went to the reviews. I read them all. It doesn't happen often that the reviews were spot on because everyone sees differences in everything and everyone. Guess what, every reviewer was SPOT ON.

I called Gilbert this morning, explained what was wrong. Recurrent kitchen clog about 25 feet from drain, due to builder bad design. (I've been previously told) Anyway, Gilbert got here less than 4 hours later, (even though it wasn't an emergency) Quickly assessed the situation, found out where the clean-outs were and away he went. Very professional, shook hands first, then offered name and information. Followed him out to truck as he got materials and commented to him, Mr. Jimenez, according to Yelp your a Rock Star!  He just smiled and said he had good customers. Came in and began working, explaining and fact gathering. Stories were awesome. He is the real thing folks. He can come into my home anytime, not just a plumber but as friend.

It only took him very short amount of time to fix problem, ran line all the way to the outside clean-out, I can say the three others times its been fixed, that didn't happen. Drain way running fine within an hour.  And he was all packed up and ready to go. Came back into house with bill, and talked to teenage son and his friend while I wrote check.  Gave me recommendations on keeping the drain clean in future all while he entertained us with stories of his family. Wow. (Kids if you read this, your father is your biggest fan and a great man)

Thanked me and was on his way to help some other family in need of his EXPERTISE. He is a Master Plumber in every sense of the words. Caring, congenial and as my children would say REAL.

His magnet is on my refrigerator, none with take its place I can assure you. He also made it a point as he was leaving to tell us that even if we have weekend or after hours problems, there wasn't up-charge for that. Well unless is a teetotal emergency, I can wait till business day, but it is sure nice to know.  He is top notch, and as good as you could ever hope to have in your corner.

Fantastic customer service. Honest and transparent, Noel explained the entire reason as to why our AC system wasn't functioning properly.  We so appreciated the honesty and lack of pushy ness and fabrications. We'll be calling again... thank you..!

This is the second time I have had to use Guarantee for service and both times we have received excellent service by the technician Bill. This time he had an assistant with him. We had a clogged drain and he listened carefully to my description of the problem and you could see him thinking as I was talking. Because we live in a mobile home, Bill has a unique perspective because he has lived in one, too, so he is familiar with the issues of mobile homes. He then went out to our clean out plug and started his investigation and easily saw that the problem was downstream of that point and it was the park's problem. He then went over to the park office, explained everything to them and got a commitment from them to fix the problem. Then he came back in to my wife and I, explained everything to use, told us we were only liable for the service diagnosis charge of $39.95. We gladly paid him, chit-chat for a minute or two and said we'd see him in two more years. Don't hesitate to use this company.

I'm not gonna lie, I've been eyeballing disposals since I moved into my new house. My old life did not involve a screen over my drain and produce matter in varying stages of decomposition in a compost bucket on our kitchen counter.

I didn't want one of those anemic one-third horsepower disposals. I wanted the sort of disposal that could safely dispose of such a disposal. I wanted something that takes rice and coffee grinds or an InSinkErator 1/3 HP Disposal and eats it for lunch. So I waited and eventually Costco had an American Standard on sale - running a whopping 1.25 horsepower for $69.99. Good luck installing it [cackle], the cashier said to me on the way out, as he laughed in an evil fore-shadowy manner. So rather then mess up my plumbing and causing a leak under my sink like last time I decided to hire a pro.

It's a garbage disposal Michael, how much can it cost to install, ten dollars?

Turns out its not that cheap. $250 from my plumber, the guy who has done work on my house before. I told him I would get a few quotes and call back, which was a lie.

Mr. Rooter thought my sink was made of gold or something, because they quoted me $240 - $340. Beyer plumbing: unable to provide a quote without a phone number, yuck. BG: $175. My plumber texts, he's down to $175 b/c he realizes I'm a repeat customer.

Meanwhile Pete from Elite responded quickly to the online quote request, was at $125 flat rate, and was able to schedule someone to be here in an hour or so even though my request was not a time sensitive one. It was a no brainer.

I had a second plumbing issue - a contractor had routed my dishwasher drain cord through a cabinet. Elite helped me fix that on-site as well at additional charge. Overall great service and I'm super happy with the disposal installation.

The technicians are friendly. However, the technicians are very well trained to make customers believe blooming a couple hundred-dollar repair into thousands of dollars large repair is a better option. The technician tried to steer customer away from a simple repair, by convincing customer an over-haul will solve all current and future issues. No doubt, this large repair will cost almost $10K. Small repair is certainly not as profitable as a big repair; it is apparent this company prioritizes their interest over customer's.

Called this company to repair my 3 compartment sink. Told them that 2 out of the 3 is leaking. They only fixed one and said it was functioning. Come to find out they repaired one and the other is still leaking and they are trying to charge me for the second one after I expressed that 2 is leaking. I would not recommend this place at all as they just tried to get more money out of me. All he did was replace a T and charged me $225 for parts and labor probably not even worth $150.

I just drove behind one of their vehicles and they had a large, open, clear barrel of (plumbing liquids) that were spilling out the top  and landing on the road and cars if they weren't careful. I stayed way back until I could pass them.

During the snow storm of 2021 a water pipe busted in my home. I called Roto-Rooter on a Monday and pleasantly found they were scheduling me for the next day.  Winter conditions continued and no show.  I called them at the end of the day and was told all scheduled appointments were moved to next day.  Next day no show, no call.  It's Friday and still no show, but what disturbs me most is no notice this whole time.  I only heard from them once and that's bc I called them.  Luckily my neighbor called A.L. Plumbing and after talking to their plumber he squeezed me in right there on the spot and fixed my problem.  A.L. Plumbing, 210-269-6346.  

I can't speak to R-Rs quality of service, but I can speak to their disregard for customer notification, time, and general courtesy.
