Crafton did an excellent job. He and his assistant showed up on time and completed the job in only one day. New hot water heater, shut off valve, and copper pipes. His assistant discovered an active termite colony in the crawl space. He used to work for a pest control company so he was familiar with termites and their damage.
The large job came in under the quote because he didn't have to snake two drains. And it was done in one day versus the quoted two days.
I highly recommend Crafton plumbing.

Great company to work with. I called late at night for a clogged drain and received a quick response. I was extremely satisfied with the service and the price was a great value! Will definitely recommend and use this company again in the future!

Responded quickly, friendly service, fair pricing. I had a small repair completed - it didn't require an electrician, but was beyond what I felt comfortable doing on my own.

Honest, experienced and convenient! Jim showed up on schedule, provided an explanation of what the service will require and the cost. He had all the materials needed on his truck and how long it would take. He did a great job! I would highly recommend him to friends and family!

This was the 2nd plumbing service we called out on the same day. The first company (AAA Plumbing aka AAA Home Services) totally misdiagnosed the problem and told us there was nothing they could do because we needed a licensed line layer and they weren't licensed. We were still charged a $78.50 service call charge. We called O'Fallon Sewer and they came right out and fixed the problem. Nice, friendly and efficient.

The dishwasher was installed wrong by Kirkwood Plumbing when our house was built in 2008. We moved in 2 1/2 years ago and finally discovered that the dishwasher was hooked up to the cold water, not the hot water as instructed by owners manual.
When I called and explained the situation, I was initially told they would 'make it right', but the next day they said it was no longer under warranty and we would have to pay for them to fix it.
This was not a warranty issue! It was an incorrect install by Kirkwood Plumbing.
I was hoping they would stand by their word and do the right thing.
Bad business practice!

Checked out the BBB first and called a couple of companies. Rivers was the one that could come out today but in a couple of hours. If they were able to rescue me earlier than that, I'd give them a 5-Star rating.
The technician was very polite, explained things clearly, even gave me advice for fixing simple things myself. He ended up installing a new water shutoff valve in the front yard and did such a great job, you'd have to look for the new valve. I expected mud everywhere, the grass to be missing and what I actually found was a cover plate looking like it had been there for years.
Thanks Jeremy.. Definitely a referral from me!

I have 35 apartments and have used swift plumbing for the past 10 years but had to stop using him when he started charging by the job instead of the hour. I was charged 575 dollars for 1 and 1half hours work Well swift plumbing secretary called me today and told me if I don't remove my review that Gene ( the owner ) would put a lien on my property. When he sent me a bill for 575 for 1 1/2 hours work which comes to 388 per hour I sent him a check for 350 and told him I considered my bill paid in full and that I would no longer use his company. His work is great but ask how much before u have him do it. Not only does he charge by the job but he adds a hourly fee on as well.

My shower handle broke and I wasn't able to get the water to turn off. He came out and took care of it immediately. I called around 6 pm and he was leaving with the shower fixed around 7:30 pm. Absolutely great service and a really nice guy. I'll be calling him for any plumbing issues I have going forward.

A very nice young man who showed up on time to snake the kitchen line and did this at the price he said he would.
no complaints there.
however I was left with the uncomfortable impression that the company has incentivized him to upsell... not necessarily a horrible thing.... but when the kitchen stack clean out blockage was removed (thank you) he then ran a camera into the PVC/2 inch cast-iron pipes and initially strongly stated that the camera clearly showed that the cast-iron pipes were broken/damaged and that the water was draining under the foundation.
then, after running the hose through the clean out while simultaneously running the camera, the sludge moved through the system and started to show -from my perspective- that the 2 inch cast-iron pipes were functioning properly.
but that is my unprofessional opinion
we did flush the toilet, and with the camera we could see the water running successfully out to the main line as it should have been.
since there has never been any blockage experienced from the toilets, and the only blockage was from the kitchen stack, we then kept running water and filming.
the water worked its way nicely...all the way out to the Sewer system ...
after everything seemed to be working perfectly, I was then offered a pressure cleaning (which seem to contradict the early diagnosis that the pipes were broken)
obviously, statements that leave you with the impression water...filled with waste... is pouring out underneath your foundation and that you could be facing $5,000 to $10,000 worth of work to replace the pipes...Creates some serious anxiety...
and Again concluded with been offered a pressure cleaning only after it became apparent that there were no broken pipes
( I say apparent not knowing 100% that there are no broken pipes but everything's Is working....) we ran the hose for about five minutes more, with the camera, and the longer the water ran, the more we could see the sludge clearing
I was also told that the mainline P-trap underneath the concrete was a code violation and a serious problem
it's my understanding that the main line P-trap (Underneath the basement floor) is actually per code. I am assuming it's a way of keeping methane from working its way into your house ... just like the P-trap underneath the sink ...The mainline P-trap combined with the exhaust stack that runs to the roof ...I called another plumber to ask and confirm my thoughts and they said that of course when you run a camera through your clean out underneath the kitchen stack that you would see the camera go through water and then come back out ...that's the P-trap and not a code violation.
I don't think I've explained this really well
but I hope it makes some sense:
that I felt I was being deceived
it's not clear to me that the young man was a man of bad character i
t is my assumption that ownership has played a part in either pushing or greatly incentivizing their technician to find more work at each call...more than the $425 I was charged to snake my line
I was happy to pay the $425
I'm very disappointed in the strong possibility that I was deceived combined with the current world that is filled, now, with individuals who see truth as relative and whose moral compass is broken
while I might've saved myself $10,000 I am sure that there are others who will not and it is my hope that this review might help someone else not experience what I have experienced... needless fear, anxiety, and the near miss of being scammed.

Research other plumbers before making your decision. Bono Plumbing performed a simple faucet leak in my home. After a very brief review of my faucet the owner of the company said I would need a new faucet. When I questioned that he then said he would try to repair the old one. I assumed he would let me know of the problem once determined and then give me a quote before continuing to do any work as any other home repair service has done for me in the past. He did not. He completed the job in less than one hour and then charged an exorbitant fee such that I could have had an entire new faucet, fixtures, etc., installed for the price he charged. In speaking with other industry professionals they confirmed that the price was a complete rip off. I will never choose this company for work in the future.

Went online for handyman to install kitchen sink and faucet, which we already have. Tiger called, came out to give us an estimate. OMG! $4,500 just to install a new replacement sink. Totally out of line for a job of this nature. Would be different if they had to put in all new lines, etc., but all that's required is taking out the old sink, putting new faucet on the new sink, drop it in the counter opening, connecting the pea trap and hot/cold lines. What a ripe off!
