Best Toilet Repair in Philadelphia PA
Mark initially seemed to be a good match- he arrived at our house to give an estimate less than an hour after we called, had a full estimate ready by the next morning, and told us he was more than willing to work with our complex payment arrangement (through our mortgage company). However, once Mark began the work, our deal quickly fell apart. He left some parts of the job unfinished for more than a week- which was okay because we were renovating and not currently living in the house- but did not inform us about the unfinished work, preferring to come and go as he pleased. Once the work was actually finished, we asked for the completed permits and inspection. Instead, Mark gave us the run-around, insisting that he hadn't needed a permit for various work that definitely needed a permit, refusing to get an inspector to come certify the work, and then calling an inspector prematurely and taking another day to satisfy the inspector's requests for incomplete work. He also began to call and email multiple times a day insisting that we play him when it was clear that he still hadn't fulfilled his end of the contract viz. permits, inspection, and other paperwork. Finally, when we told him that we would send him payment by certified mail because we did not want him returning to our house (because we feared for our safety due to the increasingly unhinged calls and emails), he refused to pick the check up from the post office.
I'm sure Mark does good work, and all of the plumbing and heating work he did has functioned well since he finished, but the professional side leaves a lot to be desired.
Edited 11/6/10: spoke too soon. Somehow, he managed to incorrectly wire a thermostat that only has 2 wires. On top of that, while I was fixing the problem, I realized he finished the electrical connections with electrical tape instead of wire nuts. Anybody who's spent 10 minutes in the electrical aisle of Lowe's could tell you that's wrong.

Highly recommend. Reached out late at night regarding a leaking kitchen sink the week of Thanksgiving and they were able to respond quickly and were able were able to come out next day and took care of the problem in no time. Really fair prices. Will definitely be reaching out to them with any problems in the future.

Warren and his team are terrific! I have been searching for years for a plumber that I would recommend without hesitation, and finally found it at Boss Plumbing. So far, Warren & co have fixed a valve another plumber didn't want to touch, assessed and identified small leaks that were making a big mess (and of course repaired them), installed a new sink and faucet (including some retrofitting) and did it all with a wonderful blend of expertise and good humor. It was a pleasure having them in my home, and I would trust Warren to professionally tackle any plumbing-related job.

They are not thorough...they do not have appropriate equipment to do a proper job...added the cost of toilet seat removal which ended up being more than the cost of having them come out for the drain clean.
Added to all this, they did a shoddy job...I will NOT recommend them!

Had a leaking shower faucet and 5 to 6 plumbers that we contacted just read our message and no reply at all.
John and the team response even during Saturday, and come earlier than they mentioned on the call. With a reasonable price.
Great in communication.
Highly recommended.

Kit and his team are hands down the best plumbers we've ever used. They have done a variety of work for us, including installing a vanity, replacing faucet fixtures, and handling an emergency clog. They are so responsive, friendly, and do great work. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable and trustworthy contractor.

Rick was the first to respond to my Yelp inquiry after I discovered a leaking water heater in my new house. It was on a Saturday morning, and wasn't available until Monday, but eased my mind that based on the pictures I sent through Yelp's questionnaire and description of the problem, that it wasn't in need of emergency service. This was an incredibly smooth process, thanks Yelp!
We arranged an appointment (right through Yelp) for 9am Monday morning...Rick called ahead to confirm and arrived on time. He quickly confirmed his initial impression of either needing a new Temperature & Pressure valve or an expansion tank. Since the valve was cheaper, we started with that, but unfortunately didn't solve things. So he grabbed the tank right off his truck, installed it, and was done with everything in a matter of under 2 hours. He even asked if there was anything else he could take a look at while there, knowing we had just moved in.
In summary, Rick's demeanor, knowledge, and service performance were all commendable and left an excellent impression on us. I'd recommend Rick Lucas plumbing to anyone looking for a professional in this area!

ValDel called me back within minutes of submitting a request on their website. Very helpful and professional over the phone as I explained the 2 small jobs I needed. They sent Tim out that afternoon and he was right on time. 30 minutes before his arrival they send you a text with info and a photo of who exactly coming to your home. They of course, wear a mask, SD, and he put n on shoe protectors while on my home.
Tim couldn't have been more pleasant, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He was very thorough and efficient in checking everything out, explained the problems, and offered solutions and recommendations, and prices.
We needed an outdoor spigot replaced that was leaking and could have caused a flood in our basement. He even added a new shut off valve closer to were the spigot is for no charge.
We had a very slow leak in 2 pipes in our unfinished basement but it turns out it was electrolysis decaying the pipes (builder had done some strange things that caused this.) He showed and explained exactly what was going on. He checked other pipes and fixtures to make sure it wasn't the toilet above. I had thought we would need to replace the toilet but he said it wasn't that even though I would have spent more. He worked hard for about 4 1/2 hours and even checked out 2 other small problems and gave us advice and price quotes on those projects if want to do them in the future. The total for our work and parts was $700 which I feel was very fair. Plus I used their $35 coupon and he took off the $35 fee to come out, which I appreciated.
And at no charge (!!) he even filled my water softener salt tank with the two 50 pound bags that I had lying there that are too heavy for me to lift, and replaced a sediment filter that I had been meaning to do a for a month but it's a bit of pain to replace. Oh.. and again for no charge he did a quick water quality test to make sure our water treatment system was working properly and not causing the electrolysis. He checked hardness, iron content and pH and all were perfect.
They emailed me all the invoices and quotes and I called the next day for a copy of one and they got it out immediately. Highly recommend!

Garbage disposal unit conked out. I bought one from myself but would rather a pro install it as unit I purchased needed minor electrical. I put a request for a quote out on Yelp, Luan responded almost immediately and was at my door within a couple of hours, on a weekend. It took him about an hour, cleaned up the scene and made sure to remind me about to register the unit's warranty. Pricing was very reasonable. I didn't have a go-to plumber before, I do now.

I cannot recommend Chris Williams enough. Chris has done many jobs for our family in both our previous home and our new home. He installed an entire master bathroom addition for us as well as other smaller jobs and repairs. Most recently Chris has helped us during a water main clog right before the holidays when we had family visiting and we're in a major pinch! If we had not hired him for the job, we would very likely have ended up with waste water overflowing in our first floor kitchen and bathroom on Christmas Eve!
He has gone above and beyond in many ways - from being available via text and cell at late hours, to taking the time to fully explain in layman's terms the details of every job he has done. He lets you know why he recommends the solution he is proposing as well as gives you options. He clearly thinks through each situation with care and does what is best for the homeowner. He and his team have always been courteous and kind, and on top of it all, his prices are very fair and reasonable. If prefer to work with someone you can trust and feel comfortable with, go with Chris!

I tried to fix a plumbing issue in my old-fashioned South Philadelphia bathroom myself and ran into some snags. Bernie and Mike responded same day and fixed it for a very reasonable price. I'd definitely use them again!

My tankless water heater was not working properly. Mr Rooter was able to come out the next day and diagnose the problem and helped me get the repair done under my warrant. Tyler A was on time, professional and fully explained the issue. He was able to get the part and make the repair within 24 hours. I highly recommend Mr Rooter

Appreciate all the help! I would definitely recommend him to others and will be using him for future jobs.

Nic came out promptly to replace my shower diverters and some eroded pipes in the back. He was quick, professional and explained everything he did. I'll be using him for all my future plumbing/HVAC needs, and the best part is, he is a local small business owner.

I had a leak in my tub and needed it fixed asap. I called Goodman plumbing and they had a opening the next day. Frank arrived at the scheduled time and gave me a price quote for the work. Sam came to look at my basement and was very helpful and explained the issues I was facing. So far my experience with them has been great.
Used them a few years back too when my pipes burst - another plumbing company lied and tried to rip me off, so then I called best choice and they came in, solved the problem, and everything was great.
