After purchasing a home that had radiant heated floors in the master bath that was conveniently placed on the sales ad but not working correctly when we closed escrow and moved in.

I needed an old outdoor faucet replaced. Awais responded to my request quickly and provided an estimate. Awais was available the next day to perform the replacement. After replacement, he noticed a leak in the pipe that needed repair. He made the repair quickly in the crawl space. I met with Rey to have him offer a proposal for a plumbing and HVAC job. His bid was higher than some, but my general contractor had a working relationship with him. When I reached out to him to start the job, he didn't respond to my email. I then followed up with a phone call to confirm if he was still available. When he answered, he said, I don't want to do your job. And hung up... no explanation, no further interaction. I know that contractors are busy, but I still expect some level of professionalism. Rey was downright rude and unprofessional.

Daniel and his colleague were great! Explained what they were doing thoroughly and respectfully. Highly recommend. Daniel had come a few days before to fix an emergency problem. He did a great job then too. Will definitely use them in the future.

Had a problem with a leaky bathtub upstairs - water pouring running from the bathtub through the ceiling into the downstairs.  

Talked to Carlos at Lance.  He was very responsive.  Set up an appointment for the next weekday.  Carlos came in, identified the issue (long story, but the overflow was installed by a 2nd grader - need a yelp review on that contractor, but I'll wait till giving zero stars is possible).  Carlos had the problem identified and fixed quickly, and the bill was reasonable.  He's my go-to.

Supreme was promptly on time for my appointment (hooray!) after scheduling me on Saturday night for a Sunday consultation about my nonfunctional heating.  The service tech Mr. Harrison was really great!  He explained a lot about my furnace: what the parts are and how they work, and billed me for only an inspection (which can be credited towards any future work if I have additional problems this winter).  I had one of those problems that was not reproducible while he was here (probably a glitch in the thermostat due to lightning and power fluctuations), but he still took his time and went over it thoroughly after we determined that the system was currently functioning correctly.  At my request,  he gave me info and rough pricing on installation of new high-efficiency furnace products, but without pressuring me to replace my existing furnace.  I really appreciated his approach and recommend this company with no reservations.

As a boy mom, I'm use to things getting broken and clogged in our homes. Earlier this week one of my master bathroom sinks stopped draining and I knew it was on of my younger boys . I put some drano hoping that would do it but to no avail. I was supposed to have a plumber here Saturday but he never showed. Late last night I went on Yelp and put out a few inquiries and warranted plumbing was one of the first to respond. That coupled with their already amazing reviews I decided to call them first . It was 8:46am and they said their guys could be at my home between 11-1pm same day. I was pleasantly surprised they came 15 mins early which for me was a huge plus. The guys wore their protective gear, took their shoes off before entering my home without me saying too , and were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They checked out the sink before starting , to give me the pricing to make sure I was ok with it . Their pricing is very fair and they worked quickly to get the tooth paste cap my 3 yr old shoved down there. Absolutely will call in the future for all our plumbing needs .

Paul and his people were great. I got a fast quote via yelp messaging for my p trap replacement. Paul sent Victor out the same day, he arrived on time, was really friendly, and dig a great job. Then I asked him to look at something else, which turned out to be a clogged pipe. A couple of hours later, Victor was back with someone else and the snake and they cleaned that up too. Great price, nice people, excellent communication. I strongly recommend EPS.

Every business owner should operate their business like Khan. He does not recommend spending more money than you really have to. He and his partner, Leo came out this morning to snake our sewer line. We have had another plumber who came days before but was unable to clear the blockage 40ft away from the cleanout. After the first video inspection, he explained that they will need a commercial grade machine to get the job done. They came back about an hour or so later with the monster machine (see pic) and managed to clear the line all the way to the main (90+ ft away). A truly excellent job done by both the gentlemen. Highly recommended.

I have called Hugo for several of jobs on different properties that I work on and he gets back to me right away. He shows up and gives me a quote which are significantly lower than the other local plumbers I have used in the past and then executes the job in a timely manner. He explains everything thoroughly which I can really appreciate and the best part about it is gaining the knowledge myself!! Mike came highly recommended from a friend whose recommendations I take as gospel. I knew that his work would be superb, and somehow he far exceeded my expectations.

He called and setup an appointment, was astoundingly punctual and listened diligently to my 3 plumbing problems. I went back to work and in about 30 minutes Mike walked me one by one through each of the issues, explaining and educating in laymen's terms what happened and how I could maintain my plumbing  more efficiently/effectively. Day after Thanksgiving our water heater broke, Shedrick responded to our Yelp request immediately. We tried to see what we could do on our own...he made recommendations on water heaters and came to do the install.  He was professional, courteous and extremely helpful! Most installers wouldn't come to just do the install, but he was open to helping us in any way he could.  Water Heater installed quickly given our tight maneuvering area. Would highly recommend his service -- would not hesitate to call him again!!

Adolfo was very responsive. He and his assistant were willing to come and look at the potential job on a Monday evening (the same day I first contacted him). They showed up on time the next day and did excellent work. He even offered to run to the hardware store for me once he realized I didn't have a part that was needed for the garbage disposal. All told he installed that along with a new kitchen faucet, soap dispenser, and air gap for the dishwasher. I'll definitely call on him again for any work needed in the future.

Nahman plumbing is the leading Bay Area installer for tankless water heaters. They've installed hundreds of them and have figured out what works best and are less likely to waste hours stumbling around trying to figure out how to put one in.

We opted for the traditional 40Gal tank. The installer installed in with minimal mess, fuss, and time. The relief pipe that's visible on the side of the house was crooked. I should have called them back. He was intelligent, was not a refugee from kasahzistan, and spoke English and Spanish,
He gave me a lesson on its operation, cleaned up, and it's been working fine since then.

So why didn't we get a Tankless?
I took a stopwatch to our busiest sink- the kitchen sink. This is also the furthest from the water heater. (The Bathroom fortunately sits right on top of it and you can flush the toilet, run the sink, and take a shower without burning your tits off or freezing your gonads. Yay for that!)

The Test
I timed how long it took for the water to run hot from the time I turned on the kitchen faucet to when it reached 100 degrees. It took 45 seconds. Add to that the 1 minute delay of a tankless system.
Let's say your cooking chicken and you want to watch off the raw chicken gunk of your hands. Picture yourself standing at the sink for two minutes waiting for the water to get hot.

And so,
Tankless water heaters save gas, but can waste a lot of water.
Whenever I'm in a house that has a tankless system, I always time the hot water. There's always a long delay. Damn shame.
