Seeing my son's hands covered in black oily specks, after he washed his hands in his sink this morning, was disturbing beyond belief...My tub had been out of commission due to this same reason. During a pandemic who can you call for plumbing help? Hugo at Diamond Plumbing and Rooter!

I had tried a few places close to my home in San Ramon but understandably, I didn't receive a call back. I am sure they might be short staffed or had very valid reasons for otherwise being detained. I did however receive a call back from Hugo at Diamond Plumbing and Rooter. He sounded like he might be in the middle of dealing with a current job and called back about 20 minutes later, just as he said he would. He was at my house about 30 minutes after our call. Every single 5-star review is 100% accurate. I own a local small business... Maintaining this type of personal and professional reputation really takes hard work, care, dedication, patience, and a huge amount of integrity.

My water now runs clear! (Quite important to be able to wash our hands at this moment in time - stay safe everyone) One less thing for this mom to worry about. Thank you again!

MY GOD! I called them at New Year's Eve , they responded within 10 mins, came over within an hour, got my flooded toilet issue resolved and fixed the back garden flooding too. It was raining horribly at the time when they were fixing it when there is pouring rain I really really appreciate their work and would like to HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend their service . Diamond Plubing has helped with several plumbing issues we've had over the past few years. Every time, Hugo has been friendly and helpful, explaining what was occurring to cause my issues, and if possible how to avoid similar issues in the future. When I've had emergency issues like a broken water heater or a backed up sewer lateral, they have been very responsive and gone the extra mile to ensure that the job was done right.
Because of that, I'll keep coming back for anything else that occurs.

Loved these guys. I've tried many plumbers from Yelp and these guys are are the first whom met and exceeded my expectations. Not only did they find the root of my leak (detected from a home inspection) they went out of their way to find the right part to fit my 20 year old shower set (a couple of trips to the plumbing supply) Great communication and completely professional. I will never hire a different company.

I've made a personal decision to hire and buy local/family owned whenever and as much as possible. As most everybody here, Yelp is my go to place to help decide who I'm going to give a try. I was in need of having a line cleared and narrowed it down to 2 or 3 companies. When it was all said and done, I ended up setting and appointment with Hugo from Diamond plumbing and rooter. From the get go he was really professional. When he arrived he accessed the situation, got right to work, and was in and out before I knew it. The quote given over the phone was fairly accurate to the final price. An issue I've had with larger corporate companies in the past, as they charge per the hour. I'm really glad I've found someone that's locally owned to handle any plumbing work I may need done, more importantly, someone I can trust and refer to family and friends.

We have used Hugo a couple of times over the past few years to fix plumbing issues in our old home. He is super polite and helpful and sticks to the price he quotes you, which is really appreciated! Recently I messaged Hugo about a plumbing issue that was outside of the scope of work he typically he does and he actually took the time to call me and walk me through some trouble shooting I could do on my own and provided a reference to another company that could replace the piping if it ended up being needed. The fact that he took time to help me when he knew there was no immediate job for him to do was so very much appreciated! I would recommend this guy to everyone!

Diamond plumbing has been out to my house more than once in the past couple years and they're always the best and fantastic of all of the plumbers I contact. Nice and fair treatment, reasonable pricing, always understand the problem, talk about the fixes with the homeowner and are competent, confident and knowledgeable about the work they do.
Both times they've visited my home, once for a water shut off replacement and the other time for a cracked sewer pipe in my crawl space, they've come out same day, arrived in the arrival window they gave, and did a great repair.
Communication, workmanship, responsiveness, and business practice are all great!

Called in the morning and Miguel came to our home before noon. After we explained the issues we were facing, he explained what he could and could not do. He could check for leaks in the crawl space for a set fee but he did not recommend troubleshooting the kitchen faucet as it may end be cheaper to purchase a new one and have it installed.

After checking out the crawl space he clearly explained what he saw and what we could select for follow up steps. Good job.

Hugo saved the day! I was in an emergency cracked-pipe situation, and it happened late Saturday when most plumbers called the day off. Hugo came out within 1-2 hours notice! And he was back the 2nd day to finish the work. He is professional, courteous and reasonable. He explained things in detail and is very patient. He went through different stores finding parts and did extra work without me asking. Thanks Hugo! Definitely keep your phone number for future plumbing needs.

Miguel came by and assessed our leaked pipe / clogged pipe situation. Told us the pricing up front and told us all the options we had. He didn't have to do this but chose to anyways. He said we could go through our home warranty or call our remodeling contractors; either option would potentially save me hundreds of dollars, which we ended up doing. But he could have just said he can fix and we would have happily paid him to do it. What he did though really helped us out, and there's no way in hell we are going to ever reach out to anyone else about home plumbing issues in the future. They've won us over and we are so glad we found the family business to go to now!

Miguel also likes to give you tips and tricks on home plumbing. He is passionate about his work. Be prepared to learn!

Diamond Plumbing is my go to plumber for everything. Hugo and his crew always get the job done. I called them the first time because another plumbing company could not fix my stopped up main drain. Hugo found the problem right away and fixed it at a fair price and very quickly. The next week I had leaky toilets and once again Diamond plumbing came out and had everything up and running again in no time. This past week I needed a new water heater and once again Hugo and Alfonso saved the day. Brought me a new water heater, installed and hauled away the old one in record time. I can't say enough good things about Diamond Plumbing. They are fast, reliable, thorough, fair priced and just all around nice guys. If I could give them more stars I would!

We noticed our sewer line backed up on Saturday morning and called Diamond Plumbing and Rooter. Miguel was here within 1 hour, cleaned out the roots from the pipe, and did a camera inspection to verify the condition of the pipe. This is the second time we've used them and they are very timely and honest. They wore a mask the entire time even though they were outside away from us and in 100+ degree weather. We highly recommend them!

We had a water heater that wasn't working properly after a valve leak. Hugo reached out after I submitted a quote request on Yelp, and was able to fit us in last night after he had finished another job nearby. He came by, examined the issue and repaired it for us so we could have hot water last night. Great customer service, honest pricing, and excellent follow up (he messaged late night to find out if we had got water and didn't wait for us to call him to tell him). I really appreciate Hugo and Diamond Plumbing. I won't hesitate to call them again for any plumbing issue.

Been having problems with drainage since like November. Had several different companies come out but only helped with short term fixes, so wanted to try someone new. Hugo came by and was the first to put on a coverup and dive into the crawlspace. He discussed several options and took pictures with his phone. He confirmed leaks as we turned water on from different parts of the house. He was more than willing to help breakdown the project in doable sections and came out the following weekend. He and Alfonso rerouted waterlines for the kitchen/laundry and troubleshooted to avoid more labor.

He was willing to teach and show how to fix an additional problem but I decided to jus hire him again and he came out to fix the original problem that left a big hole in my sunroom. In just 3 visits, he has fixed problems that have been sitting for years. Thank you, Hugo. You've been a lifesaver.

If you guys are looking for knowledgeable and trustworthy Plumbers you have to call Diamond Plumbing!! I have called Hugo for several of jobs on different properties that I work on and he gets back to me right away. He shows up and gives me a quote which are significantly lower than the other local plumbers I have used in the past and then executes the job in a timely manner. He explains everything thoroughly which I can really appreciate and the best part about it is gaining the knowledge myself!! I had Hugo come out to my rental unit to investigate a noise coming from the pipes. He couldn't figure out what the issue was because the noise didn't happen when he was there, typical! However, he gave me some recommendations and didn't charge me for the visit. I appreciated the fact that he didn't tell me some bogus problem and charge me to fix
something that didn't need fixing. Very Honest!

Kitchen sink clogged and it is not budging. I tried chemicals and a home snake that is only 15 ft long and it remained clogged. My back is already killing me so I decided to call Diamond plumbing. They have the best reviews. I left them a message and few minutes after Hugo called back an asked what was the situation. He don't know what their schedule at the time and will call or text me as soon as possible. Few minute he texted me with ETA. On the dot Angel one of his crew was at my door, placed on a mask and a shoe cover before entering my house and closed my door very gently. Right away I noticed the respect he has. He assessed the problem, gave me a reasonable quote and after we agree on the job. Went to his truck and came back with his tools and fixed the problem in a few minutes. Angel did an awesome job, cleaned the work area, gave me few pointers to ensure drains will not clogged and ensure the job is warranted for 30 days. I will definitely recommend this business.

Miguel arrived within 30 minutes of me calling on a Saturday which was 5 minutes before the window of time I was given. He was very caring and knowledgeable, made great suggestions and helped solve our issue of a clogged main sewer line due to a missing cap! Our line was filled with bark and dirt because we never knew there was no cap on it as the line is buried under ground. The price was fair and he even gave a 30 day warranty. I'm very pleased with Miguel and this company! Thank you!

Call Hugo on Friday about a problem with a gas line in our building, it took Hugo about 30 minutes to respond to my call. Hugo came out with his crew inspected our gas lines and determined that we had blockage, due to the gas line deterioration from within recommended replacing our current line with a new gas line. Hugo gave us a very good price for running the new gas line, we accepted his reasonable offer.

Hugo alone with his humble crew starts repairing the gas line in the rain. Due to the on and off down fall of rain they were not able to finished the job until the next day. After installing the new gas line it was tested; the gas stove, oven, and furnace were checked to make sure they were function properly and the hot water tank was lighted. Hugo and his crew did an excellent job and I have recommended him to all the members of our congregation, Hugo is our plumber. If you are looking for a humble plumber and a fair price, Hugo is the plumber to call.

This is an awesome company with great service providers!! Hugo and company were so efficient and competent it set our minds at ease right away. They had to use a camera in the line to discover what was causing our major plumbing backup that we had tried clearing ourselves with a snake. Turns out it was a huge root ball in the line!!! No problem for Diamond plumbing! Cleared it out lickety split, and gave us a generous discount on their services. Now I know who to call whenever I have a plumbing problem of any kind and I'm confident anyone else will feel the same after dealing with them just one time. Great response time and great work. Hugo called me just a few minutes after using Yelp to make a request. Came out within ~60 minutes and did a great job unclogging our sewer line. He explained the problem to me and gave me both short and longer term fixes to avoid the issue in the future. To cap it all off, prices were quite fair.

Can't emphasize how happy I am that I called Diamond Plumbing!!!

The person who came to help was nice, incredibly respectful of our property and of the ongoing public health issues! They also not only got the job done, but they were also thorough in making sure our pipes were unclogged, and in explaining what had gone wrong. They went above and beyond, had very reasonable prices, and didn't try to upsell me or pressure me to add any unnecessary services!

10/10 will ABSOLUTELY be giving them a call next time something goes wrong.

Hugo was great, he was polite, professional, easy to communicate with, and did an excellent job. His communication every step of the way was exceptional, I always knew when he was coming, approximate arrival time, and he finished within the time he said he would.

Unlike other companies I have worked with, I did not have to waste hours and hours waiting on people to arrive etc, this was one of the most efficient uses fo my time.

I would recommend them in a heart beat, they were half the cost of other companies i get quotes from, and they even did an exceptional job of cleaning up after the work was done.

If you have any plumbing needs I would highly recommend them.

We have a gas fireplace to install and will be hiring them again to do the work.

Spoke on the phone with Hugo about a garbage disposal issue and had a date and time set for him to send an employee over to come take a look at the issue. Waited for the so call employee whose supposedly named Jamie to come from 2-3pm on Saturday to take a look. Waited until 5 and still no show or a phone call explaining their absence. I'll look elsewhere for a solution and next time if you're booked to the max don't try to get as many clients as you can. We have lives too!

I called Hugo for help with a leaking upstairs tub that was causing problems with my living room ceiling below. Hugo came out a few hours after my call and spent a meaningful chunk of time diagnosing the problem. He determined that the issue was not plumbing but waterproofing (grout, etc.).

He refused payment for his time helping me. He is honest and easy to work with. You should hire him if you need help with plumbing. I am a harsh grader and he receives an A+ from me!

(By the way, I also called another highly-rated plumber when I called Hugo. The other company quoted me an over-the-phone estimate of $600+ and were unable to come out for a week!)

From the moment I contacted them all the way to when they were finished these guys were very quick to respond, had a professional demeanor, and did an excellent job. Doing plumbing work can be expensive. These guys will lay out all the options & recommend the best choice of action. They quoted me an estimate for 2 hours of work. At first I was hesitant to do it. The actual job was much harder & took over 4 hours. But, they still charged me the original estimate. But, having the peace of mind that the job was done right & professionally, & looks attractive too, makes it all worth it.

I'm disappointed 100% ... over charges for A ) issues that aren't 100% done by his employees or him .... can't seem to respect others in their own home and blames his customers for his mistakes...don't use or bother with this company... I talked to Hugo first about our low water pressure in the different parts of the house, he explain to me a few different scenarios and immediately assign Miguel to come over.
Miguel was here within the hour , spend more than a half an hour, adjusted the water pressure and crawled under the house to check the piping .

He was able to adjust the pressure evenly and explain everything about how to maintain it .

These guys are great honest and professional and you can feel that right away.

Never thought I could love a plumbing company but here we are. We had a clogged drain the night before Thanksgiving and every Plummer was booked but miraculously Hugo was able to come by within a couple hours and he fixed a complicated issue like a pro! We have found our plumber. Hugo answered right away, and even though we didn't consider our backed up toilet and tub an emergency, he came out the same day. (We had another bathroom that worked just fine)

He was able to clear our drain, and it wasnt easy. Fortunately he is experienced and tried different methods until he found one that worked. He also didnt take long so we didnt spend the whole afternoon waiting for him to finish. His price was very reasonable, and I am very happy to find a plumber we can count on.

This is a delayed review, but I got to commend Hugo. I had an issue with my mom's refrigerator leaking, and though he didn't end up coming to fix it because it turned out to be something the warranty covered, Hugo spent time to talk me through the possible issues over the phone. No charge. No attempt to try and get me to pay for something I didn't need, but simply because he was trying to help me out. I know if I have a future plumbing issue, I'll be sure to use him because he showed me was honest and willing to go above and beyond that day.

Great and fast service. I called Roto Rooter the day before and they couldn't find any techs to work. I called Diamond the very nice dispatcher said the plumber would be here within the hour. We called Diamond Plumbing around 5 o'clock in the evening, hoping to get an appointment within the next couple of days. Hugo came out that night and gave us a quote! He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, professional and competitive.

The next day Hugo and Miguel arrived and went straight to work fixing what needed to be fixed.
They not only did an excellent job, but you never would've known that they were there as they cleaned up after themselves so well. There is a real pride of workmanship with Diamond Plumbing, something that is sorely lacking these days.

We heard a sudden, loud rush of water underneath our house and quickly realized that something had burst. We were able to turn the water off, but who wants to be without water? It was after 5pm on a weekday when I called and explained the situation to Hugo. He and Noe arrived within an hour. They went into the crawlspace and were able to turn off a valve so we could turn the water back on in the rest of the house while they fixed the problem. They were finished in under an hour. They provided friendly service and helpful explanations of the problem and repair. They wore masks and were very professional. They'll definitely be our go-to next time we need plumbing help.

It is a real pleasure to be able to write a 5-star review for Diamond Plumbing. I sent them an email via Yelp around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning for the clogged drain in my kitchen sink, and I received an instant reply with a same-day appointment. Within two hours they were here. Hugo determined the location of the blockage, and Alfonso un-blocked the drain in no time at all. I thought the fee was very reasonable for such fast and great service, especially on a Saturday. I have a commercial business and I called Diamond for a leaking sink and water heater. I spoke with Hugo and he is a excellent communicator! He was able to come out the next day. He wrote up a quote on the spot and we set up a time to come out to compete the repairs two days later (it was non-emergent). Hugo and his colleague arrived and were able to replace the water faucet and repair the leaking water heater. I was unable to be onsite so my business manager was present; however, throughout the process he was texting me photos of the process and repairs. Excellent communication! Hugo and his guys were great - called me back quickly, set an appointment time for the same day, arrived on time, then traced my sewer problem. Turns out I needed a company who can do more extensive sewer repairs than Hugo could do, and he called around to several companies he recommended until he could find someone who could come out the same day. While he was here he took care of another plumbing issue we had with a toilet and followed up to make sure I had been contacted by the other company, who did an equally great job. Why can't all trades be this responsive? I would hire Hugo back in a minute!

This company is A-1!!! After our water heater gave out the previous night, we were in a mad scramble to find a company to replace it the following morning. We called several companies and Diamond was quick to send someone out to assess the situation. They were not the cheapest, but on the same note, they weren't the most expensive.

Jaime was our serviceman and his professionalism was outstanding! He was very courteous and honest with what had to be done. He was also able to start the job immediately and finished the job well before we thought it would be! After he was done, it was very obvious that he had a lot of previous experience and takes a lot of pride in his work.

Hugo and Alfonso are an incredible team and saved the day with my sewer line. My home warranty sent a plumber out to look at my clogged sewer lateral line and the minute he saw roots in the clean-out, he bailed and said I needed to replace the whole line and it was probably broken in several places. I decided to look for help elsewhere - Hugo answered my quote request in less than 5 min, was at my house about 20 min, and had me up and running an hour later. He and Alfonso ran a snake, then a camera, then followed up again with the snake to hit the spots that were missed on the first pass. Incredibly professional, helped educate me on the process, maintenance, what to look for, and very fair on price (beating out other quotes I had received without seeing them). We just discovered a clogged sewer line. It is Saturday afternoon, we are still recovering from Thanksgiving festivities. Called 3 plumbers. Diamond (Hugo Cruz) called back within minutes. Hugo said he could help and would be here within the hour. He pulled up to our house about 25 minutes later in a well maintained and marked company step van.

Hugo told me his rate, told me what he'd be doing and was done within 15 minutes. The rate wasn't the lowest but was completely reasonable given the prompt and effective service.

It's not everyday you see good people who has integrity. I called Hugo for coming out to my place today for an emergency water heating check. He tried to save me money first by asking me to send pics of the problem and work with me on the phone to do a quick diagnostic.

After he realized that this is not something I can do myself, he opened up his schedule so they can drop by right away.

Hugo went to the house with Noe and did a great analysis of the problem. Unlike other techs, he told me the detailed problem and how I can analyze the issue if it happen again in the future.

Highly highly recommend Diamond plumbing! At 11pm on a weeknight our newly installed showerhead sprung a leak and was dripping through a recessed light downstairs. I frantically messaged them on Yelp and the owner answered and said they'd have someone at our house the next morning. I knew my heater had a small leak & would need replacing but I waited too long. Got home around 5:30 pm on a Wednesday evening & just happended to open my utility closet. I found a pond under the water heater. I came here to Yelp and picked this company @ random. Called and spoke to Hugo who said he could come immediately and be at my house in 30-40 minutes. He got there in 15-wow-too cool. Showed him the heater and confirmed it had died :-O As we were working out what time he would come on Thursday, he said-I will fix it now. He had a water heater and needed to get some supplies and he would be back. It took about 45 minutes and when he came back he said, not a problem he can fix it and I dont have to worry about work issues or taking a really cold shower. At 10:00 pm that Wednesday night I had a brand new very efficient hot water heater. I cannot thank Hugo enough for both a great job but his infinite kindness and thoughtfulness. You can't go wrong using this company!

I have a clog with my outdoor patio plumbing (which is about 20-30 years old I am guessing). I was referred to Hugo by another plumbing company. Hugo came on time and friendly. He did a scope first to assess the problem and then he tried to snake it to clear the clog. Unfortunately the clog didn't get fixed not because Hugo didn't try, it's because the clog is probably too bad and it's further down the line. I am giving him a 5 stars b/c he was VERY polite, professional and patient. It's hard to find people like this nowadays. I would recommend him to anyone.

Hugo from Diamond Plumbing has great customer service! When I called he fully listened to my problem and explained to me what he would need to do- he'd come out the next day, but would likely need to leave after he took apart the problem to find serial numbers and go out to get the parts. He was able to find the parts and completed the work quickly upon his return. He explained why it happened and went through the house tightening up all my fixtures-- many were loose. Then he ran a camera through my sewer line because we have a tree root problem. That camera run was free and has given me the peace of mind I need since we do that service every few years. Hugo was a life saver for my family during this past storm. We woke up to flooding on the side of our house where we have a sump pump. My husband, who was out of town, called several plumbers and Hugo was the first to respond positively that he would be able to help us out that day. Hugo not only kept my husband in the loop as to timing of his arrival at our house, but he also called me to let me know when he would be arriving. Once he got there, he quickly drained the area and let me know that our sump pump was fried and needed to be replaced. He said he would run to the store to buy one and then replace it that day!! In the pouring rain!! Hugo left to go get the pump and called my husband to make sure he was okay with the plan as well (so thoughtful!). They did such a great job changing my two valve fixtures into one valve. With kids having to turn both nobs and trying to mix hot and cold to make the perfect temperature was always so hard. Hugo and his crew did a great job solving a few issues in our bathroom. They unclogged a toilet and rebuilt a p-trap that had a crack in it. Upon inspection with the camera they also found some rusty pipes that might lead to clogs in the future and recommended an innovative fix (a new pipe via a different route) that wouldn't require any cutting into the walls or ceilings. We decided to go ahead with that since we're hoping to stay in our house a long time and would rather fix problems *before* they come up. After this was done Hugo even showed me all of our pipes with the camera because I was wondering if there might be any other potential future issues. Luckily, everything looked great.

Overall the team was courteous, on time and very communicative. I originally called them after getting the voicemail for a few other companies, but I am glad that Hugo answered right away and will be sure to reach out to them first for any future plumbing needs.

My house is 50 years old. This week I had a very clogged shower drain and nothing I did worked. I called another plumber but he didn't have an appointment for about a week. I tried using a plunger but it made it worse and it caused more water to stay in the shower. I called Diamond and was able to get an appointment the next evening. Hugo came out and the entire appointment was very pleasant. He explained in detail about the pipes in the bathroom for the sink, toilet and shower were like a branch and he tried things to see if the sink and toilet were part of the clog. He is very knowledgable. Luckily, they weren't it was just the shower. He said there were different snake sizes. He gave me an estimate, very reasonable and he stuck with that price. I accepted and he started on the clog. It didn't work. He said he would go on the roof and see if there was a vent, but due to the age of the house there might not be one and then would have to go through the shower wall, or the floor. There wasn't a vent, he said he would try snaking again. The 2nd time worked! He pulled out a huge clump of hair that was years of accumulation. Going to get a drain plug with a lot smaller holes. I would definitely call Diamond again.

Responsive, professional, knowledgeable, great communication...exactly what you want in a business. Hugo was great, he took the time to explain what was going on, came out late at night to fix a sewer line blockage. He got it fixed enough so we could drain the sewage out of our shower despite it being much more severe than we had originally thought. He then came back first thing in the morning to do some more diagnostics and repairs. While he was here I had him clean out our french drain system. Once he was done they flowed like they were new.

After reading other YELP reviews on Diamond Plumbing, I called them about the line break in my rental property. Hugo was on the scene within the hour to locate the source of the break and begin the fix. His team dove right in and helped to avert a potentially bigger damage issue. From gaining access to the broken pipe, to diagnosing which lines were affected and re-routing the lines to get the water system back on-line, the team acted in the most professional manner possible. Contacted Diamond Plumbing to get a quote on a backed up yard drain after finding out many others would not handle such an issue. We talked on the phone about options and Hugo offered to stop by since he was in the area to inspect. We agreed on the work to be performed and he was upfront that it may or may not work. He was able to localize the cause of blockage and rotor root it to now drain properly.

We needed routine maintenance clean-out of our long sewer line and fixing a loose toilet. After waiting four hours for a national rooter company, I gave up and called Diamond Plumbing based on their excellent Yelp reviews. They did not let us down. They came to our home promptly, were courteous, professional, thorough and explained all their work in detail. They ran a snake and used a camera to check on the condition of our sewer line. They also installed a new wax ring and replaced bolts on a toilet that had become loose with age, leaving the toilet and floor completely clean. We felt that their bill was fair and reasonable. Hugo was great. He came out to check out our tenants toilet after I requested that he snake the drain. He checked the drains and determined that the drains were fine. Diamond Plumbing is just great. I called them to fix a leaking drain pipe and remove some old pipe in my crawl space. From the first call with Hugo, customer service was excellent. Great communication, timely, and clear. Not only that, but Hugo was understanding when I missed our originally scheduled appointment because I had to be at the hospital unexpectedly. Great service! My drains were clogged and water was backflowing in my toilet, shower, etc. It was 10pm and my kids were freaking out, unable to use the bathroom. I messaged Hugo to see if he was able to come and fix it. He gave me a couple of quotes over the phone, from best case scenario to worst case scenario and scheduled me right away for the next morning. He showed up early and on time, got right down to the root of the problem, patiently explained how my plumbing works,and fixed it in a timely manner. I recently called him again for some advice and he patiently talked me through some DIY suggestions. Nice company to work with and very reliable.

I called this firm to have my ice maker line disconnected from my fridge so that it could be moved temporarily, and to fix a very very slow leak around the threads at the end of the feed line for the sink in our bathroom. This was a one hour job at most, in my opinion. To make a long story short, they said they thought I needed to do a great deal more work than was, in my opinion, even remotely necessary. So after they made their pitch I asked them to leave, which they did. There was no charge for the visit. As with any contractor, customers need to be ready to push back when the estimate of the required work or cost doesn't seem to make sense. If you don't understand what they are saying because of the technical aspect, and if you haven't used them before so that you trust them, ask them to come back after you have time to consult somebody you trust, especially if the bill starts getting large (which for me is about $300 on a small job). By the way, my moving guys disconnected the water line for the ice maker in about 30 seconds, without incident. No extra charge. I will probably fix the other problem myself if time permits, or hire a different firm.

I meant to add this review weeks ago when they came to fix a broken faucet but forgot and I suddenly remembered! I called them about an outdoor faucet that broke and water was spewing out all over. The only way to shut it off was to turn off the main water. This happened around 5 pm and they came immediately. The guy who came out worked tirelessly to fix it, as he came across multiple problems that only exasperated the issue (our house has many unusual issues like this, unfortunately). They gave us a good deal and did truly honest, hard work. He was so kind and also walked us through the whole process so we could understand the issue better.

I've hired them before and will do so again. Every single time they have been amazing. Thank you guys!!!

Hugo and his crew were great! I had a puddle on my bathroom floor on a Friday afternoon, and Diamond Plumbing arrived that evening to take care of the leak. There were several other issues involved with getting it fully repaired (HOA, leak detection, etc.), and Hugo was an absolute pleasure to work with. In fact, the company that did the leak inspection gave me a quote for the job as well. Not only was the quote higher, there were other aspects of the company that didn't instill confidence. Hugo responded to my Yelp quote in about 15 mins of submission (I also asked for quotes from 4 others in the area but Hugo was the only one to respond and he was the initial person I wanted to work with due to Yelp reviews). They were in Walnut Creek and told me they would come for a FREE estimate on my rooter service in about 30-1hr. They came in about 20 mins to the door and was very polite. He was conscience of the shoes on the shoe rack and started to take off his shoes before coming in the house. I showed him around and the issues I was having. He gave me a quote and I agreed. He was able to fix the issue in about 15 mins (I had been working on it myself for 2 1/2 hrs already). He gave me recommendations to help prevent this and tips on what I can do myself.

Overall: Hugo and Alfonso were very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and solved the issue in a quick and non-destructible way. They definitely under promised and over delivered. Their price to fix my issue was very reasonable and would continue to go with the them. Thank you guys. You saved my weekend!

We found the Diamond Plumbing & Rooter on Google and noticed they got 5-star reviews. We decided to call them for our sawage backup problems. Hugo responded immediately and was able to fix the drainage backup. While fixing the problem, he also noticed we had a major problem we needed to deal with ASAP. Hugo came back next day with a reasonable estimate. Hugo, Miguel and Alfonso completed the project on time, in a timely manner as promised. Since we were not home when the team finished the job, Hugo made an effort to come the next day and explained the work they did step-by-step patiently. This is the second time we've called Diamond for unexpected issues and we now have them saved in our contacts. I had called one company who came out next day, then let us know they charged $250 to snake a short drain. Basically a half hour job. No f'ing way.

I called Diamond plumbing instead. Should have called here in the first place. Hugo came out to give an estimate, and handled the clogged drain at WAY less than the other company.

Awesome plumber. Only plumber I will ever use in the future. He was prompt and very honest. I had a stoppage about a year ago, but that plumber did not tell me root cause of the problem. So I had another stoppage two days ago. Hugo cleared it and came back today in the rain to fix the backflow pipe. He showed me that it had been installed incorrectly which is why I had the recurring problem. Knowing a thing or two about construction myself, I could see he knew what he was talking about and was honest. Then he showed me how he corrected the problem before covering up the pipe again.

Hugo was quick to reply and to show up to an emergency job for my commercial biz. We had a water leak in the ceiling and he worked with urgency to fix the issue.

He has a special tool that he used to fix the copper pipe in little over 30 minutes. He provided the best recommendation to replace a 3 foot copper pipe that was 30 years old to prevent any future leaks due to mineral build up that was causing peep holes in other parts of the pipe. With his special tool, we did not need to keep the water off for too long which would have inhibited our neighbor commercial business to not operate.

The hot water died on me at the beginning of the week. So I contacted the company via yelp on Thursday night and Hugo responded promptly. He ordered the part And was able to come and fix the heater in the afternoon. Since the parts are still under warranty, he took the liberty to call the manufacturer and ordered the replacements. He will come and pick them up tomorrow. Not sure how much other company charges for such issue, but his service is surely worth the money.

We had an issue with our kitchen faucet hose leaking under the sink and luckily we found Diamond Plumbing & Rooter from Yelp.
Hugo did an awesome job. He unscrew the leaking hose without charging us any service fee on a Saturday afternoon then came back again on a Monday morning to install our new Kitchen faucet. His service fee was very reasonable compare to the other plumbing company around the area.

You don't meet many people like Hugo. This man is a lifesaver I cannot stress this enough. I've been using his services for routine maintenance for sometime, but with a major leak in front of the house, this was anything but routine for me.

He showed up when he said he would. He explained everything. He told me what my options were. During his inspection under the house, he discovered another major plumbing issue and took video of the problem so I could see it. This was far worse than what I had originally called him for. I don't know when I would have ever found out about it, but this man has saved my life.

Thank you for responding so quickly to my call. Hugo answered the call and sent a technician who fixed my problem right away on a Saturday. This is in contrast to another well known and highly rated company who I called first, but told me they would only come at a rate of $322/hour. And when I asked if they could schedule me an appointment for Monday, they told me I would have to call back on Monday. Not only Hugo they not charge me an exorbitant amount, Miguel the technician came within the hour, was friendly and got the job done!

I hate to write this review because I don't want these awesome guys to get too booked up but at the same time, they are amazing so.... I'll TRY to make this long story short....

But to sum up, the other reviewer (mani?) is right: You normally only get two of the three - fast, good and cheap... but with these guys, you get it all! if you don't want to read this review, just know that this review is 100% real. Nobody asked me to write this. And, Jaime, Hugo and I'm so sorry I didn't get the other man's name... you guys impressed us beyond belief today.

1. Bathroom drain broke as it was super corroded due to initial pipes installed in the early 60s.
2. Decided the bathrooms (both the master and main) finally needed some updates.
3. Went to Home Depot to try and do it ourselves.
4. Corrosion was so bad we couldn't do much more than we did without help.
5. Friday night the pipe drains wouldn't seal and kept leaking.
6. As we were painting the master, we also noticed a leak.
7. Oh geez.......

Here's where DP&R came in....

1. Called Saturday morning at 9am
2. DP&R arrived by 10am.
3. DP&R walked us through our many many bathroom issues.
4. DP&R showed us our water heater leak and problems as well THAT WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT!!
5. 4-5 hours later, we have new piping in and out of our walls and to our sinks, a new water heater and pump, and INSTANT RUNNING HOT WATER through out the house.
6. I LITERALLY CANNOT STOP SMILING!!!!

Hugo is really great! Very professional and helpful... I was having issues with my bathroom sink (backup) and he explained how the plumbing worked at my condo, as well as finding the clean out. Our sewer line was backed up, and I had a number of other issues that I had been wanting to address so I called Diamond. They had an opening for the next day.

Hugo came out in his very nice van, put on his shoe covers and came in the house to check things out. We went through three issues that were things I found I could fix myself. The sewer line cleared itself out after I ran the tub and flushed the toilets.

So after 30 minutes, he picked up his things, and wouldn't accept any payment since he hadn't had to actually done anything.

Me next plumbing issue or request for a plumbing referral is definitely going to Diamond. They've earned it.

He was very detailed in figuring out the issue and did not charge me a cent for the visit since I have to have appliance guys come out to fix the problem. We had a new fridge dropped off by another company and the install technician advised that our water valve for the fridge was striped so they were unable to install our new fridge. My home has a 2 water heater system, 1 of the 2 Bradford White units stopped working. Called many plumbing companies who were either unavailable and/or unresponsive. I was lucky to find Hugo at Diamond Plumbing & Rooter through Google/Yelp and a family friend. Called Hugo in the morning, explained my problem and texted him pics of my 2 water heater system and model number, and he gave me an estimate. Alphonso came to my house 2 hours later and started disconnecting the bad water heater, then Hugo arrived with the new Bradford White water heater along with an expansion tank that also needed to be replaced. They also had to replace some water supply lines, add another valve, and made sure everything was up to code. Alphonso and Hugo finished by the early afternoon. They warranty their work for 1 year. I would highly recommend Diamond Plumbing & Rooter, wish I called them sooner.

It was Friday around 4:30pm Labor Day Weekend when I noticed flooding near my water main pipes. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find someone to help because of the holiday weekend. I called one company and got an answering service that told me they would have them call me back. Frustrated, I hung up and called Diamond Plumbing, Hugo answered the phone himself. I explained my issue and he said he would be over in 30 minutes. Him and Alfonso arrived in about 15 minutes. They both were very friendly and seemed just as concerned with my issue as I was. After investigating my issue some more, Hugo went over a few options with me, the pro's and cons's of each and the different cost for each. We settled on the fix and Hugo said they would be back Saturday morning at 9am. I explained to them that we had out of town plans for the weekend, he assured me this issue wouldn't cancel our plans. They arrived at 8:30am and started working. Hugo said he would send me pictures of the progress and when it was complete. I got several pictures through out the day and got a picture of the completed job. I cant recommend Diamond Plumbing enough. They were reliable, fair and most importantly honest. Our sink was backed up the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I had read the review from the person who had the same problem before Thanksgiving and thought Diamond was a good bet. Within 3 hours of our call Hugo came out and was able to successfully snake out the clog. He even noticed our leaking p-trap and replaced it. The price was very good. The reviews are correct! Diamond Plumbing has earned their 5 stars! Professionalism and great service on a tough job. Hugo sent Alfonso out to help me with a pinhole leak in the copper pipe in the crawl space under my house. Not an easy job to begin with. Hugo quoted a 2 hour window and Alfonso showed up about 20 minutes later. He diagnosed the problem, explained his Plan A, and Plan B, scenarios ahead of time, and just put on an extra shirt and took his tools under the house on the spot. I held a flashlight on the pipe from outside the nearest vent, hoping I was helping with light, and not trying to play supervisor. In turn, Alfonso and I had a running conversation about copper piping, soldering vs crimping, working in crawl spaces, etc. That's what I like in a craftsman; professional and a personal touch. And the charge was exactly as quoted.
The leak got fixed in 2 hours by Diamond Plumbing, after I had waited two days for another company to tell me I had to wait another day for a different guy! We could finally run the dishwasher, shower, and OMG, flush a toilet!
Thank you Hugo, Alfonso and Diamond Plumbing. I now have a new plumber service posted on my refrigerator!

Hugo is fantastic! He was on time, attentive, knowledgeable, and very experienced with plumbing. We had a major leak somewhere under our house (no water was seen but you could hear the water flowing in the pipes). Through his careful observation, he was able to map out our entire home's plumbing. He narrowed down the potential areas affected, opened up 2 walls and found the problem. He was able to re-route the lines and eliminate the last bit of plumbing in the foundation.

While he was hardly cheap, he was worth the money! He went under the house, in the attic, in the walls, and he had some pipe locating tools that really helped speed up the process and eliminate the need to call another service for help in detecting the location of the leak.

I will call Diamond Plumbing from now on and ask for Hugo.

Diamond came out twice to look at what I thought was a shower leak from the upstairs bathroom into our kitchen...turns out it was probably just a toilet overflow...Miguel (sorry for the spelling) and Hugo were awesome...since what I know about plumbing could fit in a thimble, their opinions of nothing to fix here were refreshing...customers before $$$$, who knew! Had a big sewer issue with leaks in multiple locations in our basement (pipes & toilet leaking, shower backup) due to water pressure from clothes washer and no way for the water to exit due to blockage in main outlet to sewer. After two companies came and didn't work out (one company employee wanted me to pay him on the side and the other company didn't have the correct rooter equipment) I called Diamond Plumbing as my sister-in-law recently had an excellent experience with the company. Hugo & Alfonse came today within a couple of hours of my call, diagnosed the problem and fixed it immediately via a basement clean-out access point (103 yo house with no outside cleanout). They rooted out the line to the sewer several times, brought out tree roots twice, and cleared the line. Cleaned up their work in the basement. They recommended installing an outside cleanout next time. I will definitely use Diamond when that happens. Hugo & Alfonse were courteous, efficient, and nice guys.

I thought my son had clogged it with a toy but apparently we needed a new vent of some sort. He went out picked up the item and installed it for a fair price. We realized we had a sewer backup late on a Thursday afternoon, and we were leaving town on Friday for the weekend. I called and Hugo answered the phone. We scheduled service for the day after we would return, then he called me back and asked if they could come that evening. We weren't going to be around, but he said if we left access to power, they could take care of it. And they did! Service doesn't get any better than this. The office building I manage had a clog in the sewer line and our parking lot was a mess . . . literally! Hugo was available and came over immediately. He determined the problem, which involved cutting into the asphalt to replace a junction in the pipe. Hi guys. Ive never been one to follow the crowd; just by hear say. I have to see and at least, experience people, and businesses for myself. Well, today, I was also, very impressed with Hugo and his team. This afternoon my tenant called me to say the toilet over flowed. I, right away, called my friend, and amazing plumber, Jaime. We used him for a couple of jobs, and were very pleased. Jaime, was swamped, he couldn't do it until the evening; though, he really wanted to. He encouraged me to search for someone else. I called two or three other plumbers, two had voicemails, and another was also swamped. During my frustration. Jaime called again, to say his friend Hugo, from diamond plumbing agreed to go over to help, and could be there in an hour. Such a relief! Hugo called me immediately, showed up within an hour, assed the situation, and called me to explain what he was going to do. He was very kind, caring, professional, and Very Knowledgeable! He took care of the problem within 30 to 60 minutes, called me right away when he was done, to explain what he did, line completely clear. He gave me some tips for preventing future problems. Leaving me with the assurance, if I had any more problems, he would be there. Sooo impressed! My tenants, and myself, will rest well tonight. Thank you Hugo. Loved that Hugo came with a mask and shoe protector as he came in my home. He checked my faucet pressure and installed a new toilet seat. He was on time and kept in touch with me as he purchased the necessary materials. He explained to me all the details; he talked respectfully to me and he completed the work efficiently. 1/16/21 This is an update of a 5-star review I posted for Diamond Plumbing on 3/25/19. At the time I said I thought they were great and that I had found my plumber for all my needs. Unfortunately, since then, I've had two other contacts with Diamond, and now I realize I was completely wrong.

The first thing that happened to make me realize how wrong I was, was in October, when I broke a hose bib on the side of my house, and needed the pipe repaired and the hose bib replaced. I called Hugo, and he sent Miguel out the next morning. After Miguel looked at the hose bib, he spoke with Hugo on the phone, and said they'd give me a break and only charge $695. I had no idea if this was high, but I wanted it fixed, and I felt Hugo would give me a fair price, so I said okay. From the moment he arrived until he left, Miguel was at my house for 1 hour and 50 minutes. He used two feet of copper pipe and installed a new hose bib. Afterwards, $695 seemed high for so little labor and materials, but I trusted Hugo, and let it go at that.

Then, 10 days ago, my water heater started to leak (this had happened for for a short time in February, but stopped very quickly), so I decided it was time to replace it. My first call was to Hugo. His quote was $3450. The backstory here, is that when my water heater had first leaked back in February, I had asked him for a quote, and Hugo quoted me $2450. But apparently, Hugo had forgotten this, and so now that I was a repeat customer, the price went up $1000 in ten months. Because the price had risen so much, to see if Diamond was in the ballpark, I got NINE other quotes for the water heater, the low was $2295 (which I accepted); Hugo's $3450 was the second highest quote of the nine. Hugo later contacted me and offered to replace the water heater for $2800. Since I hadn't immediately agreed to his initial $3450 quote, he quickly dropped the price $650. But initially, he apparently thought I'd go for the $3450, probably for the same reason he charged me $695 for my hose bib repair.

These quotes made me very suspicious of Hugo's pricing, so using photos of my original hose bib damage, I got quotes from other plumbers for exactly what Diamond had done back in October. The result - I got multiple quotes from $325 to $450. Wow - Diamond Plumbing had CHARGED ME $245 MORE than other plumber would have. And this after I wrote them a great review and said I would have given Diamond six stars, if I could. So, in these two contacts, I spent AT LEAST AN EXTRA $245 for my hose bib repair, and would have spent AT LEAST $505 ADDITIONAL for my water heater, had I taken Diamond's second, lowered bid.

Well, now I feel like an idiot. I trusted Diamond and Hugo, and I said great things about them, even referring other business to them. Obviously, I was wrong; apparently loyal customers don't get good treatment, they get high prices. I sure did. 1 star, and if I could, I'd give them 0 stars. Think twice about what I've written, before you become a customer of Diamond Plumbing.

Yes, please! Hugo arrived and cleared the issue quickly so our household could get back to normal. Hugo was extremely helpful, especially during these times of social distancing. I called because my pilot light on the water heater continues to go out after lighting. I had replaced the thermocouple which didn't resolve the issue.

Then I bought a gas control valve to see if that would fix the problem. After realizing it would be easier to pay someone than replace it myself, I called some local plumbers. The first person I called quoted a lower price than Hugo but didn't seem as knowledgeable.

When I reached out to Diamond Plumbing & spoke with Hugo, I could immediately tell he'd be able to help. Hugo spent 10+ minutes on the phone asking questions to diagnose the issue. He even told me the process to replace the gas control valve in the event I wanted to save $. We discussed the precautions he would take entering my house because of COVID, & Hugo took all the necessary steps to protect himself & my family. Hugo also quoted me a price if we needed to replace the water heater. His price was only $100 higher than what my good friend (general construction) quoted for the job.

I'll for sure use Hugo moving forward, & would recommend him to anyone who asks.

Once again, we had great service from Hugo, Alfonso, and Miguel in finding a leak inside the wall behind the shower and repairing it. They came out quickly, gave us an estimate that did not change, and completed the job in the length of time they said they would. I've used Diamond twice now, for a toilet repair and a garbage disposal installation. Both times they were able to come out to look at things and do the work the same day. They've been nice people and done good work that I'm very happy with. I will use them again, but I do have a few small issues.

With the toilet repair, they used a towel of mine to wipe up water. He referred to it as a rag, but I didn't consider it a rag. Fortunately, it was just clean water, but if they're going to use something of the customer's to do cleanup, they should ask first.

With the garbage disposal, they took away the packaging afterward along with any tools and spare parts that were included; looking at the parts list, I know they didn't need all the parts to do the install (because some of the parts I have now are the ones that were there before), and there was a tool included that I would like to have kept. I believe I paid for everything that came in the box, and I think they should ask the customer if they want to keep any of it. The other thing was that the label with the model and serial numbers was attached to a side of the disposal that faces the wall, so it's not visible from the front. The installation instructions say that it should go on a visible location. I realized this when I found I needed the serial number to register the unit. I thought I was going to have to get someone to crawl under the sink to get it for me (I can't crawl under things like that), but then I realized I could hold my phone back there and take a picture. So, problem solved, but it shouldn't have been a problem in the first place. Might the serial number also have been on the box that was taken away? I'll never know!

Right before the Thanksgiving holiday, our kitchen sink was totally backed up and we were desperately trying to find someone to come out to help us. We called several plumbers, but they were totally booked up. Thank goodness for Hugo, he came and saved the day! We called him at 11:45 AM he and said he would be there between noon and 2. He showed up when he said he would and not only snaked our drain, but re-strapped our pipe under the house because the straps holding it up had failed and the pipe filled up because it had been laying on the ground. He worked very quickly and charged us a very reasonable price and all this while masked. I highly recommend him and I would not hesitate to call him again.

Normally I believe that you can pick only two from fast, good, and cheap, but that you can never have all three. Well Hugo proved me wrong today! My experience with Diamond Plumbing and Rooter was fantastic! Hugo and Alfonso had a variety of problems I had going on with my 70 year old house. They fixed drainage problems (leaks under the house), installed new faucets, new toilet, new sink, drain lines, and new valves everywhere! These super polite and friendly young men made me so comfortable while they worked long hours on my house. Hugo explained everything he was doing and showed me the old pipes he had to replace. I would give Hugo 10 stars if I could! Had a leaky shower head and was searching for someone to come help! Never know who you are going to find on a Saturday! AMAZING WORK, look no further and call Hugo. He is a genuinely good person, friendly, kind and very knowledgeable. I called 6 companies on a Saturday night for a clogged toilet, he was the only one that called me back, talked through the issue with me, and showed up in 10 minutes. Exceptionally reasonable pricing, hooked us up with what we needed and even drew me a visual of how my pipes and drains look/taught me how things work. He walked us through each step of what he was doing, and went the extra mile with his service. When he came to my rescue I was in a panic and so sad that the clog was a bigger issue, but he calmed me down and ACTUALLY left me with a big smile on my face. I can not recommend him enough, thank you Hugo. You are my new go-to for any plumbing issues. Don't waste your time with other companies that have call centers or leave you hanging with a 2 hour time window. Hugo is experienced, knowledgeable, works with top notch equipment and a great attitude.

Only had a tub in my bathroom and Hugo installed a shower head and the piping in the wall and he did a great job! Very fast and great quality work and the price was not bad. Definitely recommend Diamond Plumbing and Rooter!
