Best Drain Installation in Oakland CA
Very happy with the repair of a running toilet. He was fast and efficient and explained everything before and after. Very pleased and will happily hire him again when needed.

Nice and professional Needed someone quickly. Had other plumbers that couldn't come for a day or two. He was able to work on my toilet the same day and it was already 8pm.

I can't really comment on how their service was because they never showed up. I made an appointment and the guy asked me to do it early since they would be in the area, so I agreed. Well, they did a no-show (without any follow up). When I called back to see what happened, no response. Their service might be great if they actually show up, but I guess that's just half the battle.

I wanted to have someone remove some old cabinets from our family room, and tried yelp. Roman responded to my request within 20 minutes, gave me a fair price and time estimate, showed up on time the next day, and carefully removed the cabinets. I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. He cleaned up very nicely after the job. I'll definitely hire him again for other projects. Thank you Roman.

We had problem with our drainage in the bathroom which caused a leak in our closet downstairs. He came to check it out and advised what needed to be done. He was able to fix it and replace any outdated parts. Thanks Ben.

Handyman Heroes recently completed our kitchen remodel, and we are thrilled with the work. This was a full renovation--demo of the space, removing a load-bearing wall and replacing with a post & support beam, plumbing and electrical, assembly and installation of IKEA cabinets, tile work, and installation of all appliances. Ron and Sergio, the day-to-day team on our job, were beyond amazing. They were 100% dependable, their expertise made me feel totally confident throughout the job, and what's more, they were truly considerate and a joy to have around. Along the way, they were fantastic at problem-solving and offered suggestions during the process that made our finished product even better than planned. Finally, H.H. stayed true to their estimated timing and budget... I highly recommend their work!

The reason this isn't one star is that the work was done well. That said, my interactions with Leigh Marymor left me severely concerned with his competence and integrity. We had a bid for him to replace our water pipes and install a new tankless water heater on the exterior of our garage. This was to be done while I was away on my honeymoon.
Problem #1: setbacks. He didn't seem to know the regulations regarding setback for an exterior mount. He said 4' to the property line, which is what we have. Later my HVAC guy says that this is wrong, and that it's 4' plus the depth of the heater itself. I tell Leigh and he says we should change the plan to an interior mount. He acknowledges no error on his part. It is now 1 week before my honeymoon.
This requires additional venting. Leigh and I had discussed this in-person with my contractor. My contractor was going to do the venting and estimated about $1,200 extra. Two days before my honeymoon, he tells me that Leigh said it requires special ducting with which he has no experience, and he would rather Leigh do it. Leigh agrees to do it, for $3,000. So much for my bid. Leigh accepts no responsibility, and says that my contractor must have been confused, when I personally was present and Leigh mentioned nothing about this.
A month later Leigh's guys come to do the venting. They arrive with no information about our plans, which Leigh knew. They pull out the manual for the water heater. They ask ME whether the ducting should go to the left or right of the water heater, as if I know? I mention to them the big expansion project which will alter the garage. Leigh didn't tell them. I have to get drawings for them. Later they tell me they need me to ask the neighbor for permission to put a ladder on their property, or else they can't proceed and need to build scaffolding.
Just to put a cherry on top, weeks later one of his team mentions to me offhandedly that the water heater cannot be in a dusty environment. Our contractor is doing major work using the garage as the base. We have a 6 month expansion project, using the garage as the base. Dust levels are immense. Leigh knew about all of this, and did an untenable install. Leigh takes no responsibility and I have to pay my contractor to reverse the air intake to go through the garage wall. Afterwards Leigh generously comes out to clean up the job I paid for.
I can believe that lots of people have had good luck. But you're rolling the dice.

We suspected that our sewer line was blocked because well, yuck. I called Atlas around 10am and asked if they could come out after 1pm. Joel, the owner, and another team member arrived promptly at 1pm and took a look and gave me a price for clearing out the line. It seemed expensive, but they were there and I didn't want to wait and call two others and get 3 estimates like you're supposed to. I'm guessing they planned to maybe spend an hour accessing and clearing out the line and also taking some images. I accepted their estimate and they got started.
Long story, short(ish), it ended up being more involved than they expected and in the end they spent about 3 hours at our place, with another team arriving when Joel and the first team member had to leave (after about 2 hours) to get to another appointment - actually, they thought we would need to wait until the next day for them to finish work on one of the complications, but the new team was able to stay and finish it. They had invested a lot more time and effort than originally estimated, but they only charged what they had estimated for the original service.
They were all very polite and cleaned up after themselves, the price seems very reasonable considering the effort involved, and our sewer line seems to be clear. I couldn't ask for more!
I'll update in a couple of months after being sure the the sewer line is unblocked and we're into the warranty, but for today: great service and price and timely!

I called Albert Nahman because I know they have a fine reputation. Yesterday my water heater went out. Wilber came in the evening and replaced the thermal coupler. When he turned on the gas after the repair, there was a very strong smell of gas, which he said was normal. The odor got worse and spread throughout the house. I called PG&E, and they detected fumes in all the rooms and discovered a leak right where Wilber had worked. They also said that he had reassembled the pilot line incorrectly, so that it couldn't be reattached. PG&E said there should be no smell of gas if the tubings are correctly replaced.
Today William came and was wonderful about examining everything. He will find a new pilot kit to replace the one that no longer works. Wilber put my house and my life in danger by not acknowledging the gas leak he created!

Came out to pump our basement when the rains came a year ago this time. They were asked to come back to install a sump pump (which they recommended). We were impressed when they came out within a day to get it out and a week later install the sump. They did need prodding to finish tying the sump into the gray water drainage system. They were going to service the on-demand hot water heater at the same time, but didn't. We called and were told someone would be in touch, I guess we both forgot about it because we never heard back from them.

Great first impression and quality work
I had an emergency situation at my family house. I was no available but my tenants were.
Awais was the ONLY person to respond to my yelp requests with a human message and a over the phone diagnosis. Everyone else wanted to come and do a free consultation. Not what I want to hear when it's an emergency and water is leaking. The problem was exactly as he thought which made things go extra quick.
My tenants said he was Fast. Efficient. Clean. He cleaned up after himself and was very nice..
His phone number is now in speed dial just in case I need a professional. Highly recommend.

We selected Savior Plumbing for our whole house repipe. I am so glad we did. The whole experience working with Savior was excellent. Eric provided the original estimate which was a little higher than the others. However, after hearing his detailed and clear explanation of the work involved, it was pretty clear this was the right company for us. I requested Eric take the lead on our job and he and his crew were a pleasure to work with. They all worked really efficiently and communicated well throughout. I especially appreciated the way the company was so accommodating and professional. We had to delay things a bit due to a family emergency. They were very understanding. Big jobs like this are always stressful, but they made it almost painless. I highly recommend Savior to anyone needing quality plumbing work.

Had such a positive experience and wanted to share the recommendation - Lacayo Colt Plumbing should be the business you call for all your plumbing needs. Rey Lacayo quickly responded to my inquiry for help, offered to schedule an appointment for the next day, and provided exceptional service. He found it to be a small fix - didn't even charge me - and saved me from a much more costly and time consuming repair job. He will be my go-to for repairs, and I recommend him. Can't say enough about the fantastic experience I had with his business.

I bought a '41 cottage with sweet original millwork. Unfortunately a previous owner had done a '90s bath remodel. ugh. Ted came in and restored it to my detailed specifications, giving me design input along the way. To my surprise he personally knows carpentry, plumbing, electrical, tile setting (tiniest grout lines). And he completed the work with minimal disruption to our lives (it's our only bathroom!!) Yes I recommend him.

This company is unreliable. Initially, they responded right away but it was left up to me to obtain the parts to repair the hot water heater. They promised to return when the parts were delivered but there wasn't any response after several phone calls. Hiring this company is a very bad idea.

Happy with the service! I got a reply on time for the work order. Very Professional! Paul replaced my bathroom exhaust and a few supply line connections. Will definitely use him for my future services.

I would highly recommend Chosen Rooter & Plumber - this co. was very professional & responded when I contacted it through our home warranty coverage. Our situation was deemed an emergency claim due to the garbage disposal unit under our kitchen sink one day suddenly springing a leak which left us unable to use our kitchen sink until the disposal was fixed or replaced. Thankfully, during the one appt. scheduled, it was quickly assessed the disposal unit needed to be replaced and a new disposal unit was quickly installed. Jeremy was the plumber who did the work and he was great - clear, knowledgeable & efficient. Sara was the office contact who communicated with us during the process to help see through the replacement of what was a no longer working garbage disposal unit. Very much appreciate the overall excellent services provided by this co. :) Thank you!

I have used Jorge's plumbing several times, from installing sewage sump pumps, rain water sump pumps, installing backstops and correcting past plumbers' shoddy workmanship in general. He's friendly, reliable and always gets the job done right. I highly recommend his services.

We had problems with our garbage disposal, and a family member recommended we contact Valley Plumbing. We used Yelp to reach out on the project. They responded very quickly and had me call them directly.
Upon calling and describing the issue, they gave a couple likely scenarios from repair to replacement. They were clear on all costs and timelines. Was able to schedule an appointment for the next day mid-morning.
Upon arrival, Joe came in and looked at the garbage disposal and said it needed replacement. It was 20 years old and all rusted inside. He got a new one from his truck, which was the same model as our original, but a new version of it, and quickly removed the old one and installed the new one.
No leaks whatsoever and we now have a new garbage disposal.
Great service from initial contact to completion of project!
