Best Thermostat Repair in Indianapolis IN
i sooooooooo wish i could make this a no star review. we had chapman install our payne ac unit and compressor in 2018.
the install not only took 13 hours the first day the service manager **chris had to come out the second day to fix something i made sure they we're 100% aware of before they started and did incorrectly. well we are now a year and a half out from install and outside our service warrenty still having the same problem and looking at paying for labor that should have been fixed previously. the home is a 1600 sq foot home yet the ac cannot get the house below 78 when above 90 out.
i cannot say enough horrible things about how condescending most of the office employees & managers have been especially shirley & chris.......
maybe i should send this write up to the colts so they can think about who the have represent them....
stay away from this company!!

I am so glad we called Plumbing & Heating Paramedics. They came out the next day, our system was done, old. Brian quickly found the problem and the system needed replaced. He repaired our system to keep us comfortable until the new system was installed, even offered to come out if it stopped. We had choices in our system. I explained how the current location of the outdoor unit disturbed our sleep and they moved for us! Our new system was installed within a week. The installation crew was excellent, foot protectors, and complete clean up! They gave us a tutorial plus set it up through our phone. Excellent Job!!

Had a toilet installed last fall with another company, and I know I was WAY overcharged. When the other toilet in my house stopped working earlier this year, I contacted Westside Plumbing based on a friend's suggestion. They did the exact same service as the other company, for a MUCH lower price. Arrived on time, were friendly, and the install didn't take too long. Would definitely use WP's services again, and would recommend to others.

We had to have our water lines replaced. The guys did a great job. Our estimate from Absolute Comfort was a fraction of a competitor's estimate. They also moved the lines for our washer, cleaned out our crawl space, and installed a water softener. We have more work that needs to be done, and we will be using Absolute Comfort again!

I have nothing against the work the plumbers did but the way they conducted business. I was quoted 150 an hour and was told the job might take a few hours. That is fine and all. I paid the bill which they did not go over with me to explain the break down of what I was being charged. I looked over the breakdown of bill they emailed me the next day due to working night shift. I was charged over 200 an hour for 3hour which they were only there for two hours. I called and they acknowledged they lied about their time and refunded for the extra hour. Also surprise they charge 155 an hour per plumber which was never mentioned when I got the quote for the work. I feel the company should have been transparent and up front and honest about how they charge not after the work is done. That was the whole point in getting the quote so I as a single person could prepare for the very large bill. I would never go to them again for any plumbing issues due the dishonesty!

Jason, the owner contacted me a few days ago to correct the issue. We agreed on a deal that we both felt was fair, and he asked me to give his company another chance, which I will. I have used Godby many times over the years and will hopefully continue to do so in the future.

Can't say enough about how great they are. I've hired other plumbers before but every time I felt been ripped off. Not anymore.
The issue was this weird humming sound every morning. It's really hard to tell what it was. So I contacted action air because they are trained on both HVAC and plumbing. They came here on time with a 30 minute call before hand. They spent 20 minutes identifying the source. It turned out to be the toilet fill valve gasket. Easy fix. Excellent work! And they didn't charge much. Will always call they in the future.

I needed help with furnace issues ASAP & after hours during extremely frigid weather. The after hours call representative was polite & professional. I had a prompt return call from a tech. He had one more run before he could visit me, & he was right on time. The tech was very polite & professional. I was fortunate to have a minor problem. The tech showed me how to deal with it & how to read the error codes on my furnace should I have any further problems. He priced some other services I was interested in & explained the yearly plan (which I declined). No hard sell, & no attempt to take advantage of my emergency repair situation. I'm impressed and will consider Summers for my future HVAC & plumbing needs. Thank you!!

My water heater sprung a leak and after receiving what seemed like a very high quote from another company my FIL recommended B&W, who had replaced my sister in laws water heater a few months prior. I was able to get an appointment right away, Randy was friendly and professional, the work was done promptly and at a reasonable price. We've since used them for our HVAC, and had a good experience with that as well. Highly recommend!

We recently noticed some noises coming from our Air Conditioner unit. We are on an annual service contract with Summers (we have done this for some time now), so I called them this morning. They were able to get a technician (Krieg) to come and check it out. He called 30 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on the way. Upon arriving, he was prepared with a face mask, gloves, and booties. We agreed that I would stay at a distance but close enough to provide information on the problem. He turned system on and immediately went to the heart of the unit (which took considerable effort). He obviously is well trained. It seems that the set screw that locks the squirrel cage fan to the motor shaft had been improperly installed at the factory (the unit is only 5 years old). It took quite a bit of effort to get to the problem, but he quickly fixed it, tested it out, and we were back in business (with air). I continue to be very pleased with Summers PHC and highly recommend them.

I've used Efficient Systems for a number of problems in our recently purchased house. They have been most helpful and easy to work with. They are respectful of your property, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. I highly recommend them.

Our AC unit was getting some heavy condensation on it, as if something inside was freezing, and we had a guy from Peterman come out to try to figure out what was going on. He probably spent 2 maybe 2.5 hours trying to diagnose the issue. At one point he was on the phone for like an hour with who I can only assume was a person more knowledgeable than him. He finally just told me he didn't know what was wrong with it and that he didn't want to tell me to pay for a replacement of a part that wasn't necessary. Fair enough.
He mentioned that some exhaust pipe that we had was improperly installed because it needed a joint so it could be removed in order to be flushed out periodically. I asked him how much that would cost, and he said $47. I didn't want to cut PVC and try to do it myself, so I told him sure go ahead. He spent 15-20 minutes cutting the PVC pipe and adding a joint to it. He also flushed it out for me. The diagnosis (which didn't yield any results) cost $60. So we were at $107.
Then he told me he had some stuff called A/C Re-New which was similiar to additive you would put in your fuel to flush out your car engine. He assured me it wasn't snake oil even going as far as showing me YouTube videos of how it works. He said there was a 50/50 chance that it would make my system run normally. I thought well it's just a 4 oz bottle of some liquid he has to put in my system; it can't cost that much money. I asked him to give me a quote on it.
$324.
$324 for them to pour a 4 oz bottle of something in my system.
But sir it will save you thousands of dollars on future repairs.
Finally he talks me into it, saving me a few dollars by signing me up for their Peterman Protection Club ($16/month).
I should have done more research before telling him to do it, but I didn't want to just have him stand there while I try to figure out if him pouring this stuff in my system was worth $324, so I was like whatever I mean 50/50 let's roll the dice on it, and maybe it will stop my system from freezing up. He left my garage, and I thought he was just going out to his vehicle to grab something because he came back in like 2 minutes. He tossed me the empty bottle of A/C Re-New and said, alright you're good to go; can you toss that in the trash for me?
It didn't solve our problem. Our system froze up again the next day. So then I thought let me check out this A/C Re-New stuff.
First of all, the bottle costs $70. Anyone can buy it online. It's not something that's exclusive to HVAC professionals. The special tool that you need to put it in your system is $110. So $180 total. There is a YouTube video that shows you how to put it into your system yourself, and it takes less than 5 minutes, which their employee demonstrated by taking 2 minutes.
So I thought to myself, man these people have these tools; they only had to pay for them once, and if they're paying $70 for a can of this stuff (probably paying less because they buy them in bulk), they're making $254 off their customers every time they dump a can of this stuff into their system. That seems a little outrageous to me because he installed a $2 piece of PVC in my system for $47 and that took him 20 minutes. So 20 minutes of labor costs $45.
But for the A/C Re-New, 2 minutes of labor costs $254?
I called them the next day and explained all of this to them. I even had the owner of the company, Chad Peterman, call me and tell me how they have overhead costs, and they need to pay employees, and he stands by all of their pricing. He told me that they price their services to make 10%-15% profit. That might be the case on some of their services, but when they charge $324 to dump a $70 4 oz can of liquid into your unit, they are making much, much more than 15% profit. You don't need to have a PhD in mathematics to see that.
We had a guy from a different company come out to see if they could figure out why our system was freezing up. Within 10 minutes he discovered the problem. Our return air filter just needed to be replaced. Apparently when your filter is old and clogged, it reduces airflow going into your unit, and because there isn't enough air moving over the coils, they get too cold and freeze up. He sold me the filter for $40 and was even kind enough to waive the diagnostic fee because he felt bad that we already got robbed by Peterman.
The bottom line is this. Peterman Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing might have some nice people working for them, but the people they send to do work at your house might end up wasting 3 hours trying to find a solution when a different company will come and do it in 10 minutes. And that kind of sucks, but sometimes people are new at their job, so it's excusable. What's not excusable is them taking a $70 can of some liquid and charging people $324 to spend 2 minutes putting it in their system.
Chad Peterman is a charlatan who will unapologetically swindle you out of a significant amount of money.

I would give zero stars if it would allow me. Called for emergency service on Sunday, May 8, 2016 was told someone would call me within 30 minutes. That was around 3:57p. Never heard from anyone. Ended up fixing it myself, called them back at 7:59p to provide feedback and cancel my service was only told she would put in a second request to the plumber on call. The operator was professional enough but did not seem bothered in the least about my problems. Would not recommend using this service even in an emergency.

My experience with Mister Quik was excellent. I called to see if we could have a ceiling fan installed. They were able to work us in within a week. The person I talked to on the phone was very knowledgeable and courteous. Today, prior to their arrival, I received a call that they would be here in with an estimated time, which was about 45 minutes from the call. They actually arrived about 5 minutes early. Both gentlemen were very efficient, clean, courteous and helpful. We will use Mister Quik again and will recommend them to friends and family.
Thank you!!

We had had some plumbing work done by Williams Comfort Air, and had been generally happy, although we did think they were a little pricey.
This experience, however, was just horrible. Our furnace quit working, so we gave them a call. The service technician came out, and advised us that our furnace could be repaired (inducer motor), but that the repair would be nearly the cost of a new furnace...well over 1k to replace this motor.
Now, I know NOTHING about furnaces, so I took them at their word, and they sent a salesman out the next day, so we got a quote on a furnace. I was pretty stunned at how expensive they were, but we were prepared to purchase a new one.
We decided to get a second opinion, and called another company, and in less than 5 minutes, he said Here's your problem, went out to his truck, got a part, and had our furnace running in less than 10 minutes, for less than a hundred bucks...and that included a furnace inspection. We didn't need a new furnace after all, just a simple repair.
I have to admit, I feel like Williams Comfort Air is in the business of selling furnaces, as opposed to taking care of customers. They've lost the business of a repeat customer.
