Discovered water leak in crawl space. Plumber came out within 2 days of calling (week after Christmas). He took pictures of pin hole leak in pipe and associated growth before making the repair. Very professional and polite.

I shouldn't give them one star- without question the worst HVAC company I've ever worked with. All the way from the sales person to the upper management- horrible. Never did what they said when they said it would be done. Didn't pull any permits- got the entire project shut down by the city. They finished three months behind schedule for a project that was supposed to take 90 days- The project was for a company I worked for- I haven't worked at this company for over 8 months. They have apparently had trouble getting the final $1,200.00 of a $40,000.00 contract - so they are now coming after me personally - turned my name into a collection agency and it's now on my credit- I have tried to help them in every way possible- I requested they take my name off of the debt as I was only an employee following instructions and the contract is with his company and my prior employer The controller responded in an email telling me that he would only remove my name once I got my old company to pay the debt.
Their company mantra states, and I quote We are a winning team that is solution focused with highly ethical people who are personally connected in service to others.
I haven't seen anything as bad from top to bottom in my 20 years in the construction industry.
Honestly the techs who came out were courteous and Joy at the call center was great. Other than that, I am regretting everything. Earlier this year my hot water heater needed replaced and was under warranty. I still spent $1300 for labor and had previously bought the service contract. New water heater. No hot water. Someone came out. Didn't get fixed. We canceled plans for my mother to come in town and I didn't have hot water for a week. I had to make alternate care arrangements for my kids with family because I didn't want them to go without. I spent a ton of money for a less than experience. Williams Comfort Air was not good on their word. I called to speak to a supervisor per the technicians recommendation and was repeatedly offered a discount on a new water softener that would cost me thousands of dollars. I am already not confident in the product or service- why would I invest more? I was never offered a refund or concession due to the strain it caused to wait due to a technicians error.
The only appreciation I have for your company is diagnosing the issue with my HVAC.
I fixed my furnace today on my own. $250 for the part and 15mins of my time. I am appalled at your company's ethics and intent to overcharge and take advantage of homeowners. The quote to fix my Furnace was $1600. Again, $250 and 15mins of my time.
The Company's slogan and tagline of being honest and have integrity is far from the truth.
Woke up with no heat on a Saturday in early January. Called Williams Comfort Air because I have a maintenance plan (I regret doing this). Tech came out same day to look at the issue and was told parts wouldn't be available until the following Monday - fine, we bundled up and used space heaters for a while.
Repair was completed that following Monday and I was charged $1,506. I asked the tech to leave the broken parts for me. I looked them up and the parts cost $200 max and are easy to find. Considering the tech was at my house less than 1 hour on Monday + the less than 1 hour on Saturday to diagnose the problem, I cannot see how they arrived at $1,506. The tech must be getting paid $500-$600 per hour!
I understand the overhead of running a business, marketing, etc. but this is 7x-8x the cost! Quick YouTube video showed me the repair is quite simple - a matter of unscrewing/unplugging broken parts and plugging/screwing in new parts.
I challenged the tech and the field manager on the cost and was able to wiggle $250 back. Unfortunately I am still fighting to get the $78 service call charge back, as the maintenance plans waives this fee with repair. One customer service rep said because they didn't complete the repair same day (not my fault), I would still be charged. Another said they would look into it and call back - never did. I called again and same thing happened - no call back.
I'm learning that this company is way overpriced and does not follow up. I mean its a small amount of money I'm asking back now, compared to the amount of money I paid them to put a new HVAC at my other house. You'd think they'd want to keep customers and keep them happy?

I just had a new HVAC system installed. They were very professional. They left my home clean and were pretty quick about it. They are a bit pricey -- $11,000 with only a 5 year warranty, I can upgrade to 10 with some conditions. I was expecting a 15 year warranty for the price. (My home is just under 2,000 sq ft.)
Called for an air handler not working. They assured me they would come service it and never did. Would not work with again. Terrible experience, tenants very upset. Just trying to give them business and I ended up worse off than I started.
My main drain was clogged I don't have a clean out so a friend had taken the toilet off for access to the main drain. I first called Johnson heating and cooling because I have the HVAC maintenance package with them (which I will not be renewing). The guy came out (never looked in the crawl space) ran his snake in the pipe and found it went up the roof vent, pulled it out and tried again 1 time and told me it would only go up and that I needed it to be snaked from the roof. Told me it would be $89 and left. I called the company because I didn't feel like he really tried. The plumbing manger called back and said he reviewed his notes and they couldn't help and to call commercial sewer for roof vent cleaning. I called them and it was late so they said they would be out the next day (Friday), well it was raining so they couldn't come out and do their $300 service so it would be Monday. In desperation I called Mr. Plumber (they say they will get it or it's free so I thought they might try harder) and at this point it was worth a shot.. They came out within a couple of hours and cleared it with no problem for $93!!! Saved me $200 and not having to go all weekend without the use of water. Seth and Randy were so polite and professional. Before Seth even started he went into my crawl space to see how the plumbing was configured (which as I mentioned above, Johnson's never did) and had it cleared in about 30 mins. They put down drop cloths to protect my floor, wore shoe covers and cleaned up all their mess, which Johnson's did none of. I highly recommend if you have clog issues, after all you have nothing to lose.
I wanted to post a review to help others avoid bad customer service but it looks like many others have had a similar experience. I called to ask 2 questions about my geothermal unit that they installed and was told a technician would have to come out to answer my questions at a cost of $98. This was non-negotiable as I tried to negotiate with the customer service rep on the phone. She went to talk to her manager for a second time and was told again that I had to pay to have someone answer my questions. Not only did the manager not know anything about my system but they were not willing to even try to help without getting paid to talk to me. Don't use them. They are overpriced and the service after install does not exist unless you are paying them by the minute. I will never consider them again for any future project. Hasta la vista baby.

Scheduled to come today between 10-12. Called at 1:30 to say they could be here in 20 min. I said forget it. Unprofessional and uncaring.
They provide excellent customer service; ALWAYS on time or early; the Service Rep explains every detail of What they're going to do and then goes over it again when they finished the job! We switched to them 5 years ago, and we are so GLAD We did! I refer them to EVERYONE; my Family, Friends and Clients!!

A/c would not start after a power surge. Did some checks and I pretty well knew it was a capacitor. I knew the part was under 30 bucks but Knew better to do it myself. Tech showed up promptly and confirmed the issue. Made the fix and stayed around to make sure it worked. Did some other checks while he waited. It cost a few hundred but worth getting it done right
I was unhappy several levels.
I called twice to talk to a supervisor and never received a return call.
1. In April I called because the heat pump was making noise . The serviceman changed the motor and it was fine. He noted on a form on the unit that the relay was closed and the unit was running continuously which cause the unit to freeze up. A serviceman from Williams was working on a unit of My neighbor pointed this out to me and help me shut off the unit, I called Williams and they replaced the relay but said the unit was leaking Freon and said it would be 3,000 to replace the tubing. This was done without even running a pressure test.
2.
We had a plumber replace two Faucets which we purchased. Without asking took the old faucets which could have been used without asking.
i had to call to have them returned.
Furthermore I was suppose to get a credit for the estimate.
Williams Comfort Air installed our Carrier Infinity Heat Pump and Furnace system and we have had them maintain it since it was installed. Everything was fine while the unit was under warranty. After 12 years we started to have problems. No problems were ever found during the routine service agreement visits even when we reported the troubles during the visits. I was told next time request a senior technician so problems could be detected and fixed. We continued to have intermittent problems and had to call for the non-routine maintenance call which cost us additional money. Supposedly the problems were found and fixed and we were told when the unit was originally installed Carrier had changed the way the units were installed, and no one had ever fixed it during the routine maintenance. Everything worked fine for a month or two and the same problems returned. Fast forward two service calls where this and that was found and fixed the problem. It did not! Finally, we were told a new thermostat and controller board on the furnace would fix everything. We said OK and agreed to fix our current heat pump system. After 10 days of hearing nothing, I finally called Williams Comfort Air and asked for an update on when the parts would arrive, and our system would be fixed. They never returned my call and I had to call again a couple of days later. I was told the parts arrived just when I called them back the second time. They came out the next day to install the parts that we paid the almost $1800 to get installed. Guess what nothing changed. We were then told it would be another $1000 for a new controller board for the outside compressor unit. No guarantees that would fix the problem or if the system would last if it did fix the problem. We decided to replace the entire unit instead of continually putting more and more money in a 14-year-old system. We were given a quote for a new unit from Williams Comfort Air and that the $1800 would be deducted from the quote since they had installed the system and we had been loyal customers with a service agreement the entire time. I always get at least two quotes and I am so glad I did. Even with the supposed $1800 discount they were still almost $500 higher than the other Certified, Award-Winning Carrier dealer I contacted for the exact same system item for item. Since we have gone with another company Williams Comfort Air will not return our calls or answer our emails for questions, we have about our remaining service contract we have with them. They continue to contact us about the quote they gave us after we have emailed and called them about our decision. Overall, what we found with Williams Comfort Air is they all blame another part of the business for what went wrong and their customer service and overall ability to solve and fix problems with a system they installed and supposedly maintain under a service agreement for 14 years is extremely lacking. I would definitely look into another reputable company like we did if you are going to purchase a Carrier system!

We hired the company to clean out our hot water heater. I presume not much lime was removed as the bucket shown had very minimal debris (however, when I did it myself last year I had buckets upon buckets of lime which I manually removed by using a coat hanger). The gentleman was EXTREMELY nice, however, before even arriving to our home, suggested we replace our water heater due to age (including providing a quote over the phone). I found this odd that he was quick to say I needed a new water heater without seeing the system or knowing the age. Additionally, providing outrageous pricing to replace a bathroom faucet ($320 for labor on a 1 hour maximum job) and similar pricing to replace the fill valve in our toilet (another easy job that takes less than 30 minutes). I'm not a plumber, but $300 per hour seems very high. Especially when the gentleman is providing pricing to replace our entire water heater before arriving, and suggested we replace the entire toilet for an additional fee (when not needing). I know companies are struggling right now due to Covid and the War. However, I doubt I will contact this company again considering the recommendations or replacing items without knowing anything about them.
Had furnace tube up and technician was right on time and very friendly. He made some great recommendations about furnace and humidifier filters I never would have known. I ended up purchasing a service agreement with them which seemed like fair deal and especially since I had great experience.

If I could give 0 stars I would.. let's start from the beginning. I initially called to set up a TUNE UP, got it scheduled, day of no one showed up nor called. I called and asked what happened turns out they had none of my contact information correct, they had an old number and severely misspelled both my first and last name and email address even though I literally spelled it out for them. So I rescheduled .. fast forward the tech comes out and first of all assumes I am not the homeowner because I am a woman and mentions needing to get my live in boyfriend on the phone to discuss any repairs needed.. I corrected him and let him know that I am the homeowner and my boyfriend simply lives here and there is no need for that so you can discuss any issues with me. The tech was here for four hours and gave me bad news after bad news - first saying that my unit was older than what I knew it was, telling me that there may be several replacements needed to the blow motor, and finally that I had a cracked heat exchanger. He even called another tech for a second opinion who came into my home addressed my boyfriend (he was home at this time between classes) didn't even look at me and went down to my basement. They shut my furnace off and had me quoted for a $5k replacement. I called my trusted hvac provider who did my AC install, to come and inspect my furnace, they could find no cracks - not in the furnace itself and not in any of the pictures the Williams tech sent to me on the invoice. He also ran a co2 reader and found no co2 emitted from the furnace. He said aside from it being older it's fine. Williams comfort air will try to upsell you and rip you off on repairs you don't need. I DO NOT trust them at all and am honestly infuriated by the blatant sexism that was displayed.I will never call this company again for anything and suggest you do the same.
Service quality exceeded expectations. Our AC unit broke down on a Saturday evening. Tried find a good service provider to fix this issue next day, Saturday morning.
Called several places and was able to talk with someone from only one company, Williams comfort air. The lady is really professional and understanding of my immediate need of fixing the ac in the middle of summer heat. She scheduled the service with Mr. Michael McVay and advised that he will reach me and fix the problem by the end of the day.
Mike called me after a hour and gave a window to come. He visited my home on time and was really professional. Promptly identified the issue and fixed it. He also took the time to explain and clean the ac. He was also able to sell a tuning service agreement by showing it would be little additional cost to have two additional tuning. He was upfront and honest; enough for me to buy the service. Really great job, Mike.
Mr
PPPS: 4 years after Williams Comfort Air strongly recommended that I spend around $4,500 to replace my HVAC unit, it is still running strong.
I will keep giving annual updates here so everyone can see how long this unit runs for after Williams Comfort Air strongly recommended that I replace it because a $190 inducer motor (that they wanted $930 to replace) was bad.
Williams Comfort Air technicians work on commission. They (two different techs) tried to tell us that two of our three furnaces had cracked heat exchangers and we would need two new furnaces (to the tune of $9000). My husband, who is an engineer, saw the pictures the tech took of the cracks and said that they looked like soldering lines, not cracks. Sure enough, when we called Precision Comfort Systems to confirm, they only confirmed that they were, indeed, soldering joints, not cracked heat exchangers. They were incredulous that any tech could ever confuse that with a cracked heat exchanger. Williams Comfort Air techs are dishonest, and just trying to sell equipment and make their commissions. I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. Scammers.

Took the afternoon off work. I did not hear my phone ring.I called back within 20 minutes and they refused to come and had to reschedule. Beware of their warranty information. It comes with strings attached. Would not use this company again.
I am very disappointed with the (lack of) service I received from Williams. I have an older home (built in 1997). The master tub is being converted into a walk-in shower. After the tub was removed it was determined that I needed the plumbing stack moved. I called and explained my needs and a tech (Jon) arrived to our home to perform the work. Jon indicated our drain needed to be converted from 1.5 inch to 2 inch drain. He converted the drain but did not do what I requested. He removed the toilet (by the way he did not put the toilet back. Instead left it in bag saying the hole he cut in the floor a foot away had to be repaired before he could put the toilet back. He cut and capped the plumbing vent and stated the shower is ready to be installed.
When the shower installers arrived I was informed that the plumbing vent needs to be connected. I contacted Jon. He owned the mistake and said he could come and create another vent under my bathroom sink without any additional charges. However, Jon indicated he could not move the plumbing stack without cutting through the bathroom wall which is what I needed initially. He incorrectly advised that with the conversion of the drain my problems would be addressed. I made seven calls to the office to speak with a Manager. I was told each time that managers are busy and will only respond to the contact center rep sending an email and a manager will call me back in 24-28 hours. After several weeks of waiting there has not been a phone call. I am very disappointed in your company's service and equally disappointed with your disregard in responding to my request.
Out AC went out on Friday afternoon and the guy came out that evening. He gave a fair repair cost and put everything back even though it was pouring. We opted to see what it would be to get a new unit since ours was over 20 years old and would cost $1400 to repair.
The sales rep came out on Saturday morning and gave a few options and did not use any high pressure tactics. We chose a new unit and it was installed today.
Everything went smoothly and fairly quick. Everyone was on time or early and what they suggested matched what I was finding in my own research. I'd do business with them again based on this visit
I had their service once, and it went nicely. From then on, whoever ask me about repair company, they are the one I would recommend!
Sadly, when it comes to my second time call them for service. They treated me like shit. The technician increase the repair price without even come to my house! With an attitude asking if I want him to come out or not! Probably because I told the customer service that the house is not livable without the repair, they told me that the original price quoted will not be the total!
Just wanna share my experience with everyone, so that you don't have to wait for them and then got the service appointment canceled because of increasing price from their technician call!!!
And I will no longer refer them as repair company, but tell people what kind company they really are! !
I work in private home management and have worked with WCA in the past but it was in 2016. Recently, I fired another service provider because every time they touched the home owners units, there was an issue and the unit is only 7 yrs old. Home owner turned the heat off in late March during a wamr spell and whe she turned it back on, there was air and no heat.
So at the home owners request, I called WCA. There was a long hold time so I requested a call back. By the next day at 11am, I had recieved none so I tried again. I was told by the automated system I had 3 min of hold time, then two, then one and then one again?! And then I got connected.... to the answering service.... and then I got on Yelp to review my experience and viola-barely 3 stars... Not surprised.. Seems WCA should invest in some customer service and total quality management.

Tech was nice. Needed a $20 contact which took 5 min to install and got charged $291 plus the $94 trip out. I have never paid $50 per minute to have electrical work done before and won't be callWilliams for anything else after that
Wish I could post with no stars Williams Heating and Air advertises their good reviews on Google they don't mention Yelp they answer the reviews on Google I haven't seen any answers from Management on Yelp yet anyway had a guy come out actually three guys to do one-man job was quoted one price and it was tripled by the end of it for about 15 minutes worth of work I think it was communication from the office lady when I called I explained to her what the situation was and she sent a tech out. He
couldn't do the job then a second tech out he did the job partially. then a third tech had to help him finish the job not very happy.

I had dryer vent and duct cleaning service. 1) They blew my dryer vent dust into the yard and pond 2) They moved my patio furniture and did not put it back where it was 3) They did not clean the dryer vent screen 4) they put the cold air return grate on upside down and peeled the paint 5) they put their tools on my kitchen counter
The biggest irritant is that I called Williams two weeks ago and the management has still not called me back.
Poor service. Poorer management.
I've now used Williams comfort air on two houses. The first house we had three companies come out. They were the only ones that were short abs to the point. They did t try to oversell us on something we didn't need. Second house our ac froze up completely July 4th if this year literally 24 hi yes before I was leaving to be induced for labor. I appreciated so much that they put me as a high priority knowing I couldn't bring a newborn home to a sweltering house. Also first house we did their maintenance plan which meant they checked the ac and heat twice a year. They're honest I ppl highly responsive and I trust them to do good quality work. Plus they sell carrier which is made right here in Indiana. They have a lifelong customer in me!
Would not recommend. Was referred to the company by a neighbor when A/C went out while on vacation. Had tech come out to assess, who told us we needed a whole new unit. I asked if repair was was option and was told a new unit would be installed quicker and cheaper than parts could be ordered and installed for repair. Called another company for a second opinion and they had it fixed the next day for under 400 dollars.

The service technician came out, looked at our furnace and let us know the blower motor was broken. He said he couldn't fix it then and that we would most likely want to replace the unit since the blower motor is about a third of the price.
He then wrote us up a bill for essentially telling us the furnace was broken and that he couldn't fix it then. This seemed like a ripoff since other HVAC companies came out to quote us and charged nothing.
We obviously went with another company for our HVAC needs. Williams Comfort Air gave the highest quotes on every option we looked at. The person who came out to give us quotes on all our options even left halfway through his pitch once I told him the other company I had coming out to give quotes. As he was leaving he started explaining their overhead and how they can't compete with prices of companies that don't have so much overhead.
There are dozens of HVAC companies in the Indy area, I would really recommend avoided Williams Comfort Air unless they're the only ones available.

Strongly advise against doing business with this company. After paying $207 for a new furnace blower capacitor, I researched the actual part cost to find that it is a $10-$20 part - retail cost. The service person was there on a scheduled visit I had paid for as part of an annual service package. In other words, I paid about $180 for him to walk to his truck and get the part and install it in place of the old one he had already taken out in order to do a check on it. He then charged me $32 to place a pellet on the drip pan that I found cost $1. When I called the next day to discuss, I was told a manager would call me back. Two and a half weeks and five calls later, I finally got a call from a non-management person who only wanted to accuse me of ignoring supposed calls I had received from some manager. Needless to say, no one had ever called me from Williams and definitely had never left me a voicemail. Too bad I didn't read all the negative reviews before doing business with them. I could have saved myself some money and aggravation.
Here is Williams response to my review on Google-
Response from the owner an hour ago
Williams Comfort Air is a company based on trust and customer service. We give all pricing upfront for approval prior to repairing anything. The price was agreed upon and it was conveniently stocked in his truck. According to our records, the team lead called twice to explain and never received a return phone call. We are so sorry for any miscommunication. We hope to have the opportunity to once again earn your trust.
As you can see, they are careful to not explain how they justify charging $207 for a $10 part. As for the alleged calls from the team lead, it's a bit difficult to return a call when no message is left. In fact, I have no record on my phone of any calls from Comfort Air. In summary, if you want to do business with them, just understand that you are dealing with a company that will look for any opportunity to overcharge you.

My S7 phone records every phone call. They said the service person called my number 3 times, but there is no evidence of this. My phone does not show they ever called. So now i have to wait yet another month to get service to my furnace. I scheduled two months ago and have been waiting for two hours. They refuse to come today or anytime soon. But customer service was great.
Just called to schedule duct cleaning in response to their coupon for $399 for up to 15 grills or vents. If you have 16 its $729.00 Gotcha! AND, the person on the phone was almost hateful. Will not be calling Williams Comfort Air again.
We had a leak on the weekend and they came right out. Technician was friendly and helpful but he did put one part on incorrectly. They sent a new tech over the next day and fixed it. Everyone I dealt with at the company was professional and friendly.
Williams Comfort Air was always late to every appointment when they finished digging the hole to replace the water line and sewage pipe they left all of the trash from their lunch and all of the trash from the scrap pieces of PVC pipe in my yard one month after the repair we have a good rain and water starts flowing into my basement directly where they moved the new water line this was caused by improper installation when contacted them to have them fix the leak they refused to come out and try to temporarily patch the leak that was flowing into my basement the leak over one day produced over 100 gallons of water I had to call a third party to come out and stop the leak since they have been out to repair the spot of the leak they left my basement a complete disaster they were supposed to clean up standing water and mud Trail from the water and they did not do that I am now left with a basement that is filthy and a repair I cannot trust and and it's like pulling teeth to try to get them to clean up their mess and come back out to the property
On April 10th I had WCA come out to check my AC for the coming cooling season and also to look at a short cycling issue with my heat pump. I was working, but my wife was home. The technician was very pleasant and quite chatty. He stated that there seemed to be a problem with my heat pump in that it had the wrong fan motor and the wrong compressor in it. News to me as my house is less than 5 years old. He stated that he could get me documentation on what compressor it should have as well as the proper fan. He also stated that he could not check the pressures on the refrigerant because it had the wrong compressor installed. To his credit he also suggested going back to the builder, since the heat pump was not very old, to see if the original installer would fix the issues. I was not very hopeful of that happening, so in the interim he suggested that he order a compressor and fan to get the heat pump back to where it needed to be. Installing those and recovering the refrigerant was going to be $4200. But to get that preferred price, he needed me to purchase a service contract in the amount of $$. I use the $$ here because I don't remember the exact price and to this day I have not received an invoice or any documentation of what I was charged. I believe it was $198.
I will say that the original company that installed the heat pump came out and found the unit to be low on refrigerant and did put more in it. They were able to check the refrigerant pressures when WCA supposedly could not. They also agreed to come out on a hotter day to try and locate the suspected pin hole leak that allowed refrigerant to leak out. After a week, the ordered parts arrived and I received a phone call to set up an appointment to get them installed. Since I no longer needed them, I contacted the technician to get that process stopped. This was via text. He assured me that he would take care of it. So after a week and two more phone calls from WCA about installing these parts, I was finally able to talk to Savannah and convey to her that I had talked to the technician about getting this cancelled. She acted like she had no idea who this technician was or what was going on, but was more than willing to cancel the parts and their installation. I wondered if the office people ever talked to the outside technicians or if they were even at the same location.
So I am stuck with a service contract that I was sold under what I believe to be FALSE PRETENSE. So my issues with Williams are this:
1. No invoice or documentation provided for a sale of Service Contract
and a technician visit. And after two requests to the technician through conversation and texting, I still don't have any documentation.
2. No documentation of the supposed incorrect compressor and fan. If this is in fact true then I need some documentation of this to use to go back to the original installation company.
3. I called WCA on Tuesday May 14 and related this same story to someone who I believe was named Amy. She was very patient and took her time in taking down the information and assured me she would pass it on to a supervisor for a call back. As of this writing I have not heard a word from WCA. I'm not sure how long it takes to call someone back but I believe a week is way too long.
Based on my experience, it appears that WCA is only interested in selling service contracts. I am not happy and would NOT recommend WCA and if I could give them no stars, I would.

I had a service call to check out my AC. They said I was low on refrigerant and most likely had a leak in the evaporator coil, which would cost over $3,000 to replace. I ended up cleaning out the compressor and condensate line myself and now my system works perfectly. They did not honor their own $59 tune-up coupon so I ended up having to pay a tech $94 to lie to me about the problem and do absolutely zero work.
The real shame of it is that I've actually written blog posts for this company and I was under the impression that they were trustworthy.
We had water heaters replaced in July 2018. In October 2018, we received a call from Don telling us that the amount we paid in full at the time of service was $700 less than we should have paid. As local business owners ourselves, we are aware that accounting errors occur, but that any errors that are not caught in a timely manner are at the business' expense. We have received additional calls from Don this month indicating that we are being sent to collection. We have paid our bill in full at the time of service and have never been sent to collection in all of our 30 years of home ownership.
STAY AWAY from these people.
I wish I had.
This company is the perfect example of why you should go with local family owned businesses instead. All I needed to know was if their warranty on my water heater they installed was still valid. I told them this on the phone but they wouldn't tell me without scheduling and charging me for a technician to come out. They charged me $94 to tell me that it wasn't. Then they quoted me for a replacement and their estimate for labor was $300 higher than the local plumbing company I will end up going with. Save your money and go somewhere else. So disgusted with my experience with them.

Carrier AC touch screen thermostat started to malfunction. As I was out of town my wife had WCA come out and inspect. She was quoted $1000 to have a new panel installed. She noted to them that it appeared there was a poor connection and that possible soldering could fix the issue. She was told that they only replace items, not repair them. The following day she purchased a soldering iron, watched a YouTube video, and fixed the issue herself. Amazing what some companies will try to get away with.
My ac was working 100% fine. I thought a tune up would insure it working as it should. Williams Comfort air came out July 21st for a tune up. 2 weeks later the ac stop working. The same employee from Williams Comfort air came out August 9th and told me to leave the ac turned off and that it needed a $3,100 repair or a new installation of $5,000. I paid $227 on July 21st and $74 on August 9th. I left the ac on and it was able to cool somewhat but not as it was. On August 13th I had a another company come out and they added freon for $150 and the ac has been working fine since. I called to tell Williams Comfort air and hear what they had to say but they only tell me that someone will call me back but after multiple calls, still no has called me back. I simply thought the employee should have offered the freon fix so I could have ac while waiting on a new installation. I told them on the second call that I think it would be fair to refund me half of my money since they will not be coming out for my second tune up like I signed up for. I have waited all week for a response before taking the time to share my experience online. But Williams Comfort air is not responding back to me at all.

One-star may seem harsh, but this company is absolutely out to rip you off. They do quality work, of course, but they push repairs on you that you don't need and charge an outrageous amount. For example, I needed a new blower motor and had a Williams Air employee out to take a look. He tells me I need not only a blower motor, but an inducer too (not true at all). The quote comes in at $1,500+ in addition to the $288 for their service plan that I'd already (unfortunately for me) paid. He then tells me I should consider a new furnace altogether considering the price of the repair, which could be $2,500-3,500! Keep in mind my house was new in 2006.
So I instead searched around for a small local business and the guy comes out, diagnoses the problem, checks the inducer which is fine, and tells me he will come back with the part Monday (today) and fix it up. Total cost? $390.98 inclusive of EVERYTHING. $1500 or under $400 hmmm... Seriously, Williams USED TO BE a good company, but now I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy.
Run far, far away from this company unless you want to pay through the nose.
Let's give it up for Williams Comfort Air! Great, speedy service!
I recently bought a house, and the A/C was on the fritz. It wasn't an old unit, it just needed a new compressor. The price was relatively affordable for the labor and parts.
I called into WCA, and was greeted by a VERY friendly receptionist. She was so helpful in getting me set up and lining up the appointment. I know it seems like a small thing- but friendly office staff makes a HUGE difference!
The repairman was prompt, friendly and informative. He quickly assessed the problem, offered a solution, and once the papers were signed he went right to work!
88 degree house? NOT ANYMORE!
Williams Comfort is a Mr Plumber franchise, and did a great job on clearing a sink drain. Was able to schedule a next day appointment during a busy week of ice and freezing. Professional, on time, and quickly resolved the issue. Price was less than $100. Would highly recommend these guys.
I would just look for a second opinion on this. They speak very highly about their service and when they did the installation they took my old thermostats. I asked them to return it and they said they will but never did. if I were you, I would just try to compare more quotes and keep in mind they are not very good at their service.
Zero is a better review. They tried to scare me into buying a whole new unit in 2010. A $75 thermocouple was the problem. These people are predators. The unit worked perfectly when I moved out in September of 2019. Nobody died of carbon monoxide poisoning like the service man threatened. (If my family was in real danger, why didn't he call CPS?) SCAMMERS! Stay away from them. I want my money back.
They came to clean my drain and perforated my sewer line. They fell back and said, you signed a waiver I guess this allows them to pretty much destroy your plumbing and have zero responsibility. I then gave them a second shot at a fix. They came out to my rental and shot the drain to the sump pump pit. They destroyed the sump pump and the pit cover. Then! After they send out a guy to destroy your drain lines they then send a guy with an industrial endoscopy camera to tell you you need to have your entire sewer line replaced.
I had a conversation with Jacob Huck, CEO. That went no where. This outfit is staffed with amateurs and they will not repair the damage they cause. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR DRAINS!

These guys do a solid job... price is little frustrating at times, but I go with them for all plumbing and air issues because I trust them. Last year my air went out twice and they did charge me for both times they came out when I believe the first time was their fault. I recently used them for plumbing as I had a corroded pipe in my bathroom. They did a great job and talk me through the issues and what they are fixing. Only reason for 3 stars is the price for services.

The 24 hour service.....not really exists. When they get around to it is what they should advertise. Don't have the time to help anyone out who needs service work done. Maybe instead of television ads stating how great they are....hire more people to actually do the work instead of just a flashy façade.
UPDATE: A manager has contacted me to see if he could resolve this issue. I will update/revise my review once this is resolved. I have already updated my # of stars from 1 to 3 due to the manager caring enough to call.
I would not recommend Williams Comfort Air to ANYONE. Why? Here are a number of reasons you should consider: 1) The sales rep that comes out to sell you a furnace will sell you on the fact that they will provide a 10-15 year warranty with the furnace. They HIDE the fact that you must pay for a 2x yearly maintenance service for all 10 years. If you miss one service, you are out of luck. 2) When you call the service center, you may be treated disrespectfully. I called and I was rudely accused of not having all of my maintenance kept up and it turns out she missed seeing a scheduled visit so she barely apologized while my heart was beating out of my chest. Then she told me - well - it doesnt matter anyway - it looks like you missed one in 2018 so you no longer have a warranty with us. When I told her that I was used to them calling us as a reminder - and I asked why haven't they called us to remind us - she said that was not their responsibility - even though we had PAID them for it! So they took our money happily but did not call to remind us that we we forgot to schedule our maintenance service. 3) We paid thousands more to them and tried to keep up with their expense maintenance program just to keep their warranty so now I am treated like dirt and essentially told that I am NOTHING to them and bye bye. BTW - our furnace is running fantastically and they probably would not have to spend anything anyway for repairs but they way they treated me today - I want to call the news and tell everyone to stay away from someone who does NOT VALUE their customers. Hmmmm - I was just going to pay them to clean my vents AND add a water softener.
We called this company on a Friday night for an air conditioning unit that wasn't working. They serviced it (electrical issue) at 10pm, no questions asked. Had us up and running again in twenty minutes!

I've been both a plumbing and furnace customer and over the last 4 years have had several issues. Last June I had a new water furnace just for the upstairs replaced and it was over $12,000. Now this past January and February my heating bill was $668 for January and $220 for February due to incorrect switch settings when the unit was installed and it kept kicking over to auxiliary heat. After six visits from them they finally said it was fixed. What they offered as compensation was a three year maintenance plan. How can companies get away with this kind of sales and service? What happened to the days when a company's goal was customer service and not how much they can rip people off?
I have a service agreement with Williams Comfort Air, and last year they were very helpful in repairing a broken AC unit. We recently sold our house and after the inspection the home inspector recommended we have our Furnace serviced as part of our closing process, so we booked a tune up appointment with the team at Williams.
Our furnace is 15 years old. It makes noise and has some rattles and I know it will need to be replaced in a few years. The Williams Comfort Air technician spent 15-20 minutes with our furnace, then came up, shut my furnace off, and showed me a blurry photo on his phone. He advised me that we had a cracked heat exchanger, that it was leaking carbon monoxide in my house, and that it would be $3,000+ to replace the part, and that I would be better off buying a new furnace. He told me I could turn the heat back on after he left, but that I would be taking my family's lives in my hands. He did this on day that the temperature was below freezing and it was snowing outside.
He left and I called two other HVAC companies. Both inspected my Furnace and could not find any cracks. Both did not detect any carbon monoxide with their detectors. Both indicated that the furnace would need to be replaced in the next few years, that it was old and some of the components were worn, but that it was working and was safe to operate. The second technician couldn't even confirm that the William's tech pulled everything out.
After speaking with Williams, the technician's supervisor backed the findings and was adamant my heat exchanger was cracked based on the blurry photo the technician showed him. The other technicians had every reason to tell me something was wrong, and to be fair, if the Williams technician was less aggressive and didn't tell me we were all going to die, I would have likely replaced my furnace with them.
My hope is that this is not a standard business practice of Williams, but I also feel as though others need to be warned. Don't let an HVAC technician/sales person scare you into a hasty purchase. Get a second and third opinion. In my situation, I was able to get second and third opinions the same day.
All that said, I will never do business with Williams again.

I hired comfort air/Mr. plumber to come out with their clear your drain for 93 or it is free offer. Of course they told me there was a major plumbing issue and charged me $5000 to fix it. After they fixed the drain issue in the basement, my garbage disposal started backing up if I tried to use it. They came out and flushed the drains and told me the problem was resolved. It was not. They came out again and told me that they had broke a pipe and fixed it, but the problem still continues. I never had a problem before this with my disposal. I did speak to a licensed plumber who told me I was overcharged. I feel I was taking advantage as I've also spoken to someone that also called them and was also quoted a very high price. They called an independent plumber and the price was again about half of what Mr. plumber quoted .. I feel the 93 or free is just a foot in the door for a sales call to determine there is a much bigger problem.. They also told me that was probably another issue with the pipes with that was a whole different issue. I won't give them any more money.I'm still paying off the $5000 and I still have a problem with the garbage disposal drain that I did not have originally . It overflows into other side of sink and smells . I don't even want to bother with them anymore.
You know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when you realize you have to call a repair/service company for a major project? Horrible uncertainty if you'll choose a true quality professional. We've been doing bandaide repairs on both our air conditioner and furnace for several years. In September the air conditioner took its last breathe and the furnace was no longer safe to tempt another season. After reading reviews and asking friends for referrals we made appointments with four highly recommended companies. Regardless we've used service companies highly recommended and not been pleased with either the technicians, quality of work or prices. With those old issues in the forefront we scheduled estimates from each business.
Williams Comfort Air was our choice and the PERFECT decision. Everyone we worked with from the salesman, service engineer to both of the installers, Bobby M. & Michael B., were prompt, professional, personable, and respected our home as if it was theirs. I expected to be stressed out and on pins and needles waiting for the next unexpected shoe to drop during installation. This never occurred and afterwards I could not find ONE thing I would have changed. My friends were waiting for the war stories but it was the best service experience EVER! We had a very large and old system in a small area which past service techs found as a dinosaur or right out if school and not familiar with older systems. Williams noted without ever appearing concerned and we constantly felt this was a seamless transition from an inefficient dinosaur system to a 95% high efficiency system. All our concerns were addressed, resolved, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Williams Comfort Air and especially service techs Michael and Bobby!!! Thank you for a stress free major home repair.

We have used Williams Comfort Air several times in Zionsville. They are prompt, helpful, and are one of the few firms who do not push unnecessary upgrades or services. Today we were especially grateful for Travis Miller who we will now request in the future. Travis was patient and kind with our rescue dog who was, to say the least, concerned. Additionally, Travis remembered a small detail about our house that had a big effect. He knew that the attic stairs could damage the new wood floors underneath so he proactively asked if we would like him to lay towels down to lessen impact- even WE had forgotten! Highly recommend.
The air conditioning was out and I knew it was the capacitor for the condenser fan. A part worth at most $30. Was charged $329 for less than 45 min. of work to replace it.
We have a GEO unit that Williams installed several years ago. We have a maintenance agreement to have it checked twice a year. The technician was just out to do the check before AC season starts. He was on time, very cordial, introduced himself when he arrived. He put on shoe covers, as all their techs do, when them come into the house. I appreciate that.
Tech was efficient, asked questions about the unit and how it had been working. Advised about air filters and the way the unit is used.
Over all, an efficient and complete checkup of our equipment including cleaning with a small shop vac.
Thanks. We will continue to use Williams Comfort Air and recommend to others.

Requested service call for leaking disposal drain and the technician came and told me I would need a new sink flange and nut, but I would have to order it because he did not have the parts. He then informed me after I questioned why he did not have parts to repair a plumbing issue that because it was a hardware disposal a handy man might have those parts or could get them at a local hardware store but he did not have the parts nor could he get the parts. I needed to order it. Then he told me once I ordered parts he could come back and do the repair, for $189 plus additional service charge of 79.00 service fee a second time. Not sure what the 189.00 fee covered because the 79.00 is the service call fee.
So I paid 79.00 service fee today for 5 minutes of wasted time!
Wish I could give this company 0 stars. They were greedy, dishonest and caused my house a huge damage. The technician that came to fix a leak in my furnace charged me $220 for climbing to the attic and $32 for a tab drain. He recommended additional repairs for $1200. He didn't foresee 4 weeks later the floor of the attic would cave in because of the water that kept collecting there from the furnace leak. So far the water damage is thousands of dollars but a manager I spoke with at Williams rudely dismissed my complaint.
A different company, Peterman, finally repaired the leak for $260 (instead of $1200).
Beware.

Had a new heat pump installed in out home. Moved in two years ago and had people out twice to do repairs. Last one suggested we look into a new system. They are expensive, no doubt about that. I was impressed with Williams 15 yr bumper to bumper warranty. We may not even live in house past 5 but it's nice to know it's covered. It does require a maintenance package, but you should do that any way. Installers were friendly and polite. Efficient and explained everything to us. Made some suggestions but didn't push anything. 1 year guarantee if I don't like it I can have then take it out and refund my money. Gotta love that, so we'll see if our heating and cooling cost go down.
I had a very bad experience with Williams Comfort Air / Mr Plumber. I had this company install a new sewage pump and also bought the extended warranty. Paid over $1000 for their service and the technician did not have a working battery for the pump in his truck I called their office only to be told I would not get the common battery until Monday. So $1000 pump could not be used all weekend and it is 12:30 on Monday. Still no battery
I was out of town with my family and when we got home our furnace was not working. Just got off the phone with Williams Comfort Air. Since we are not on a Service Agreement we are not top priority. I will be telling my (2) children, both under the age of two. That they are not a priority to Williams Comfort Air because we do not a Service Agreement.
We used this company for many years to clean and service our furnace and air conditioning units. Within the past 4 years the service has declined drastically! We had a technician that apparently sabotaged our air conditioner while servicing it several years ago. It was working perfectly when he got there (we believe he released several pounds of Freon) as the air conditioner failed after he left! We called another company who Fixed the problem by adding back the Freon that had mysteriously been lost. That was 4 years ago and the unit still works perfectly! The new company we were using ended up being purchased by Williams comfort air. Lucky us! We had our unit serviced about a month ago. The technician was more concerned in selling us parts that are still working and did very little cleaning . My husband always watches the service techs as we have lost a level of trust their advertising boasts about! This tech did sub par work. Specifically, the tech did not check or clean the evaporator drain, did not inspect evaporator coils, did not measure outgoing plenum temperature, he did not clean the furnace, he did not measure the high and low side refrigerant pressures. He did not e-mail or provide a copy of the measurements from above that's usually given because he never made the measurements in the first place. These measurements will give a bill of health of just how our system is performing. All he did was try to sell me parts. The above work is typical of what a service man is to perform. Williams Comfort Air did this in the past; however, they are now only interested in collecting for high-priced parts and service contracts. We gave Williams Comfort Air a second chance to make good. So now, we will NEVER give Williams Comfort Air another chance.

I feel I strong need to alert fellow consumers of a company that is blatantly dishonest . This is now our second issue. Five years ago we bought a new furnace from this company - one month later when they were doing routine maintenance on our other furnace one of my water heaters went out. They said they could replace it immediately and I said great. My other water heater was working fine. They replaced it. The next morning no
Hot water . They sent out a repairman and said now the other one was broken. I became suspicious and called out plumber. They had unplugged our old water heater and told us it was broken! I told them to get their water heater out of our house as I found they had overcharged us by several hundred dollars as well. They agreed to refund part of our money and never return to our home again .
We had a walk collapse and it broke our toilet and a cabinet . The new heating company said the furnace that they had installed was installed improperly because there is a drip pan that catches this water as a fail safe in case the drain would clog but that it was installed wrong it didn't do anything to prevent this. We took photos , sent copies of maintenance in this furnace and everything they asked for. We were not asking them to even pay for the damage - just to reinstall the furnace properly - they refuse to even talk to us ! Said they will only talk to our insurance company ( we did not turn it in to insurance company) so they won't talk to us . We now need to hire an attorney. Please be cautious before dealing with this company they are VERY DISHONEST! I believe they came under new ownership about 6 years ago. New owners are not to be trusted!!
Had a very bad experience with Williams Comfort Air. Purchased a service plan with them last year for a home we had just bought. They came out to do our spring tune up. They reported the system having a leak and that it would cost over $2000 to fix it but that the system was 19 years old and it may not make sense to invest more into it. We got the unit recharged and had a second person come out to give us a quote on a new system. The second person told us they had a sale and to try to decide within 2-3 days if we would take the deal. Given the size of the project we asked for quotes from two other companies. The other companies found not only that the system was only THREE (yes three down from reportedly nineteen) years old but also that the leak was so minor they did not recommend doing anything. When the Williams Comfort Air salesperson called us to see if were ready to purchase a new 15k unit we told him about us finding out the system was only three years and he says oh yeah i knew that. He completely changed his tune. I have requested to cancel my service plan and get a partial reimbursement since I don't want to work with a company so obviously trying to swindle me. They are refusing to give me any of the service plan money back. Oh and by the way I also found out they overcharged for the unit recharge. If you live in a nice neighborhood you should stay away from this company. It seems like they try to take advantage of people when they see a chance.
We had had some plumbing work done by Williams Comfort Air, and had been generally happy, although we did think they were a little pricey.
This experience, however, was just horrible. Our furnace quit working, so we gave them a call. The service technician came out, and advised us that our furnace could be repaired (inducer motor), but that the repair would be nearly the cost of a new furnace...well over 1k to replace this motor.
Now, I know NOTHING about furnaces, so I took them at their word, and they sent a salesman out the next day, so we got a quote on a furnace. I was pretty stunned at how expensive they were, but we were prepared to purchase a new one.
We decided to get a second opinion, and called another company, and in less than 5 minutes, he said Here's your problem, went out to his truck, got a part, and had our furnace running in less than 10 minutes, for less than a hundred bucks...and that included a furnace inspection. We didn't need a new furnace after all, just a simple repair.
I have to admit, I feel like Williams Comfort Air is in the business of selling furnaces, as opposed to taking care of customers. They've lost the business of a repeat customer.
I phoned this company to get an estimate for a repair and was informed that they charge $94.00. I asked why their website stated Free Estimates? I thanked her, then suggested they have their webmaster change the information on their website. If their policies change, they should keep potential customers aware of these changes.

Best not to buy a prepay contract, I did fall 2018. The service techs are paid incentive for selling prepay contracts. At the time of purchase for 154.00 I was very specific that it be that tech or no sale. No 3 day limit on cancel was mentioned! Heard nothing until middle Sept for ac?? service. Said time for heating service, send the tech. Told he was no longer there. I said they could not deliver what I bought. Please refund. A Nethan, clerical? Called continually rudely talked as I made points he could not satisfy. Kept mentioning the totally unfair 3 day cancel policy. He was saying they would keep all 154.00 for nothing due to the fact that they couldn't deliver what I had purchased. Wanted to send unknown tech.
Will never call this company again!! We have been dealing with not having air since Saturday and was told that we aren't considered an emergency!!What happened to be available 24/7 like the ad says?? Finally a tech comes out on Tuesday pushes a button and leaves doesn't even look at he ac unit. So we called to get another tech out today. Was called at 4:16 this evening and was told a tech would be to my house within 45 mins. Waited till almost 6 pm to call to see where the tech was. I was told they aren't sure and that techs are usually done by 6pm so I told them while they try to locate the tech I would have my husband call them back. He calls them and he was told I canceled our appointment and refused to let the tech enter my house. Seriously?? Great way to treat a new customer!!
Charged more than twice for comparable service - Shop around!
We had emergency water heater installed, with us being member we had received 10% discount which came to be twice the fair market value in the area. Customer service has been evasive, they will promise to call you back....... Don't do it!
Terrible. Technician didn't show up on a Saturday with no call. Then charged me over $500 to recharge AC, it's still not working properly. That was it. I can't get it cooler than 76 in my house at night when it's 68 outside. Terrible company.
Watch out! Williams Comfort Air/Mr Plumber is willing to take advantage of the elderly. They tried to scam my very elderly mother out of $12000.00. We ended up getting the job done for $800.00. Taking advantage of older people is just wrong and it makes me quite sad that there are people out there willing to try.
Williams' four-star rating here is questionable. Read the 31 other reviews that are not currently recommended at the bottom of the Yelp page. 27 of the 31 are one-star reviews, many with similar experiences as what I described.
Williams Air installed a air conditioning unit and it is what I was told. The installers were very professional and nice. The unit installed had some issues the first couple of days, which took a LONG time for the service people to correct. ( 3 visits) The service is not what I expected. Williams Comfort air has not done what I was promised and expected. I also was told that if I sent a referral and they installed a new unit that there was a referral check that I would receive. They told me that it was in the mail as of 10 days ago. Guess what???? Still nothing, Williams Comfort Air has a problem keeping their word....
they did some work for my friend and did it well Josh one of the owners is a great guy and has a great staff.
I am VERY angry and disappointed with this company. When buying this house, I was not aware that I needed to transfer the 'labor' warranty from the previous owners to myself and as a result was charged labor 'for a covered part' of around $400/hour. Although they had been out annually for maintenance for five years (and a very expensive visit for a plumbing issue), this recent interaction proved that customers do not come first to this company. Had I truly been a valued, long-time customer, I should have been allowed to transfer the warranty for $250 instead of charging me $1,300 + to make this repair. I will not use this company again.
I made an appt to have my air conditioner serviced 3 weeks ago. I was given a time frame of noon to 4pm. At 3:30 when no one came, I called. I was told that a technician would be coming. No one ever came. At 6:30pm, I was called to reschedule my appt. This was incredibly inconsiderate and I will never call this company again.

This review concerns the Williams Comfort Air plumbing division, known as Mr Plumber.
I am severely disappointed with Mr Plumber. The price to replace my tub faucet was close to $1000! The work was easily accessable through a door on the back side of the tub. There was no soldering needed, just a simple disconnect with a pipe wrench and hook up the new one. Talk about sticker shock! Using the book price for a 2-3 hr repair is outrageous.
I am a landlord and own multiple properties besides my own homes in the Indianapolis area. I cannot afford their Rolls Royce rates. I was looking for a plumber when i found these guys. Looks like I'm looking again.
UPDATE: A month after this repair my tenant called to say the tub had a severe leak. I went to look and it seemed like it was coming from the drain. Since I had a bad eperience w/Mr Plumber I decided to call a different plumbing company. One that I had used in the past.
The new guy said whoever installed the faucet didn't use the gaskets and everytime it was turned on the water squirted onto the back of the tub, ran down and looked like it was coming from the drain. CRAPPOLA! He said he could fix it but that I should call the guy who screwed it up and make him come out again. Well, at this point I decided Mr Plumber wasn't going to get anywhere near my stuff so I had him him go ahead and fix it while he was there, I'd have to pay a service call anyway. Now that new faucet has cost me OVER a GRAND. NEVER AGAIN!
Fixed the freeze out! That devastating feeling when you awake to a freezing nose. Sadly our furnace quit furnacing this week. A single call to Williams Comfort Air led to an immediate and excellent repair.
Fortunately we only had a dirty flame sensor, (I am so ashamed of a dirty flame sensor) was all that needed some love.
Special thanks to Brian for reheating our lives.
I recently purchased a furnace and air conditioner from Williams Comfort Air. The salesman told us the system comes with a 10 year Warranty that he made sound like it was part of the purchase price and it was transferable. He neglected to tell us there would be a $189 service charge twice a year, which comes to about $4,000 over 10 years. They installed sensors and connected them to their office, I am guessing it's so they can find something that may need repair. Did not want them monitoring my heat and AC usage and it took multiple calls and a couple weeks to have the monitoring stopped. While calling the office, the person on the phone sounded like she was muting my call and not even listening to what I was saying. I had to repeat myself over and over. I was just trying to get ahold of a quality control manager, I left multiple messages and no one bothered returning my call. I also called the salesman three times and never got a response. These people not professional. WCA gave me a receipt that listed only one price for the HVAC system, no parts, no labor prices, how generic! I do not trust WCA and their integrity and core standards are not up to my standards or yours. I would not recommend WCA to anyone!

Had a new furnace and A/C installed to replace a very old HVAC system and couldn't have been more satisfied. The sales person was knowledgeable and presented several options to choose from. After we made our decision we were able to schedule the installation to occur within a few days. Their price was reasonable and the installation was a one-day job. Very satisfied customer!
Great customer service! Had urgency to help get our a/c running, unlike other company's that I called. Will use again!
When this company came out to uninstall our hvac system they did some malicious damage in the words of our new company that installed a similar energy-efficient system. They
1. took the supply box (which had been installed by another company
2. took the SSU switch
3. damaged original ductwork by taking it and shoving it up into the ceiling (ductwork was ALL installed by another company
4. cut PVC flue all of the way back to the wall---did not stop at the place where they had connected to the furnace
5. removed the connections to the disconnect pole
6. cut power to some of the other utility boxes in the house
These are all things explained to me when the new company came out to install. Unfortunately, my husband and I are not HVAC experts so he didn't know what they were doing as he stood over them. They did try to take the cement slab that the ac unit sat on, but he was able to stop them at that point.
Thanks!

In my opinion it would be best to steer clear of this company. We had this company install a new furnace and AC unit.
When the sales person was at our house we specifically asked him if the furnace would be fine with the nest thermostat. The sales person said that it would not have any issues. Everything should be fine.
However, since we have had the new furnace installed it has been nothing but issues with the nest that we didn't have before. The air conditioning will turn on with the heat randomly. We had the nest over a year before they installed the new furnace with no issues. Right after they installed the new unit we are now having issues.
The last time they came they told us that we would need to replace the thermostat. They want to charge us 800-1100 dollars for a thermostat that does the same thing ours does.
So, basically we spent thousands of dollars just to turn around, and them want to charge us close to a thousand dollars again. If the sales person would have been up front with us and told us that the nest might have some issues we would have been a lot more receptive. We feel as though the sales people are using deceptive sales practices to sell you something just to trap you into having to buy more equipment from them.
I will cut to the chase and then tell my story. If Williams Comfort Air demands you upgrade to 200 amp electric before installing make sure you have your own qualified electrician do a load calculation to determine if the expensive upgrade is actually necessary. When the representative came to give me an estimate I showed him my 100 amp panel and noted that it was full. He said that they could piggy back or do a separate small box. On the day of the install the installers did not feel they could do either. They wanted me to upgrade the panel so there would be a separate slot. Nothing was said about upgrading the electrical service at this time just the panel. I called three electricians. They looked at the panel, asked about my appliances and did a load calculation to make sure adding the air conditioner to my existing 100 amp would be ok. They installed a larger panel with a dedicated slot for the air conditioner.
On the next install date the installers looked at the new panel and seemed pleased. They unloaded the air conditioner and started to do prep work. There was just the technicality of calling their electrician at the office. They called and without visiting my home or seemingly doing a load calculation , they said he told them he would not install an air conditioner on a 100 amp box period. If a 100 amp box was a problem it should have been stated at the beginning. I called my electrician back who assured me I had plenty of power for the air conditioner. I called the next bidder in line for the job who said that he also felt that my current 100 amp service was fine . I will say the Williams Comfort Air installers were very nice and I felt sorry that they lugged the air conditioner to my home twice, but it is not my problem that the company refused to install

For the most part, very pleased with WCA. Unfortunately, either the wrong thermostat was installed or an optional Internet Gateway that was supposed to be installed was not installed. I had three day's worth of back and forth communications with the salesman who kept telling me that he had to check with the installers and would get back to me. To date, Friday, September 2nd, 2016, the problem is still not corrected and I still do not have Wi-Fi access to my new system. In my last conversation with the salesman, I was told I'd have to wait until after the Labor Day holiday.
Disappointing.
Do not call them for repair, unless you are willing to pay for overpriced, unnecessary services! I called them to come out and replace a dual capacitor on our air conditioning unit. I had done my research and was pretty sure that was the problem. I also looked up the price of one and watched a video on how to replace one.
When the servicemen arrived at my house, it was indeed the capacitor that was bad. He mentioned to me that my unit was dirty, but that was not an issue with the fan not working.
He brings me 2 quotes: one is over $400 and the other over $500! The part that I needed could be bought on Amazon for $30. He was going to charge me over $250 to swap out the capacitor, and $263 to clean my air conditioner because he said their policy is to not work on dirty units!
I asked him for a breakdown of what the capacitor price was and labor, but he said they don't price things out like that. I told him I would run out and hose down the unit, but he said that he would have to be the one to clean it. I told him I hadn't requested that when I called, that it might be dirty, but it wasn't the problem. He continued to refuse what he had been sent out to do.
I opted out of having any service done, but of course had to pay $94 for their assessment fee.
And I'm happy to report that I have another company coming today that will clean the air conditioner and change out my capacitor for a total of $150!
I had someone come to my house due to the furnace not working. I was told the part needed ordered and would b at least two days before they do get the part. I bought a furnace from them about 6 years ago. The serviceman told me at least it's going to be warm. But at night it's down to about 30. Very rude serviceman. If we weren't on warranty wouldn't recommend this company. Whatever happened to customers service? If it's not an antique furnace you would think since they installed it that the part would be in stock.
We have the same experience as so many others have. Whenever they come even for routine checkups (because we paid them for these services) they would find something wrong with our units. I had to fire them after have had enough of their tricks. Two years ago they came for routine tune ups before winter starts. Technician asked me whether I have already started my heating and I said yes since there were few cold spells and I had to turn it on. It was working just fine before they arrived. After spending 1/2 hour in my basement he cane up and recommended that our furnace motor is not working and we need to chance our furnace since it's 10 years old. They quoted us around $9000. I was not ready for this and I told them that how come something was working just fine a minute ago but it stopped working as soon as they touched it? They insisted that it wasn't working. I decided to go for a second opinion and called another company. The technician came, told us that the furnace blower or motor whatever you call it would cost us around $200, he fixed it for even less than that and our furnace is still running after two years. Beware of this company, they are beyond dishonest.

Great service techs who are knowledgeable and friendly, but my appointment was 9-12 and I received a call at 12:05 that my tech was on his way. The office does not seem to understand how to schedule.

the tech guy was on time and all that but we was here for a cleaning and was told he would put new filters in our furnace and he didn't. Than we had someone come out and give estimate for a new furnace and air conditioner and they didn't ask us our price range and gave quote for 9,000. So we went and go another estimate and they happen to call and ask if we made a disecion and told tem the second estimate for 4,066 and they only wanted to come off there 9,000 a thousand dollars. Needless to say they were highly recommended to us and I will never use them again.
Reece was excellent with our A/C Tune-up today. Kind, knowledgeable, and provided excellent work. We have used Williams Comfort Air for 15 years, and they have always provided excellent service and workmanship. Thank you. ~ Kevin Kalstad - Noblesville

Our furnace picked the coldest night on record (-6) to gasp its last breath. After waiting an hour for another heating company to return our call, I happened to see a Williams Comfort TV ad on the early news.
Upon answering, Tom collected our info, stated he would get in touch with his next available tech and let us know. In FIVE MINUTES, I received call that tech was on his way--in evening rush-hour traffic, mind you. DannyG arrived in less time than we were given, assessed situation and gave available options quickly. Understanding that our furnace had actually given us more years of service than it was built for, we chose to have a new furnace installed. JeremyD came out to clearly explain all options.
Early the next morning, Dustin and Chad arrived to install the new furnace. They were professional, expedient, polite and neat during the entire process. The job was completed within the minimum time quoted and they left behind nothing but a beautifully installed furnace. AND Williams Comfort was able to arrange financing for this unexpected expense.
We would recommend Williams Comfort Air without hesitation for any HVAC need. To the entire crew--our WARMEST thanks!
--Carrie & Kevin Z, Indianapolis
They messed up when they billed us and promised us a refund within 3-5 business days. We waited nearly two weeks, contacted them asking why we haven't received our refund. Their excuse? We're a little behind. Sounds like the government's excuse. They acted as though $100 refund was chump change. Hello. The economy sucks. $100 feeds our family for nearly a week. We'll never use them again.
As far as the technician arriving on time and doing what was requested of him I have no issues however if you are looking for professionalism from administrative point you will not find it here the work I had done I explained was for a realtor and their client who is buying my home I needed to provide documentation of the findings along with a receipt I called 5 times and left five different request to have that information emailed to me over a two-day period of time. I received an email asking me to complete a short survey regarding the service. But no receipt and no legible copy of the findings so I called again back in and was told it was emailed to me today at noon when I told the customer service rep I had nothing in my email box she stated oh wait a minute it looks like they sent it to the wrong email address this was 35 minutes ago and I still have not received the requested email. The worst customer service and incompetency I have ever come across
Our experience with them was great. We new our AC unit was on its last leg and when we decided to replace it, we ended up going with WCA. We have an acquaintance at Hobart heating and air, so that was our first call. But, they were simply outclassed by these guys. Salesman was easy and comfortable. Installation was excellent and it was a big job, so they sent 2 crews to make sure it was done in a day.
Knowledgeable, explains things thoroughly. They may charge a little more than competitors but I feel they are trustworthy
We just had a geothermal heat pump installed and couldn't be happier with their work. They were very professional. I'm anxious to see how the electric bills looks after the installation and also how the system performs in the winter. I recommend them.

Had one of their plumbers in for yearly check and the guy try to sell me an $1100 garbage disposal! I almost laughed when he showed me the quote, and tried to convince me that I needed a 1 HP super quiet disposal. I went to the local home improvement store and bought a 1/2 HP for $70.

Awful sales experience - have to agree with other comments about their Sales Strategy - the TV commercials look slick, but buyer beware. I wanted quoted a new heat pump - the salesman Mark arrived one hour late to my house for the appointment. Then I asked that he quote a Trane system three times, but when he produced the quote, it was for a Carrier unit (when I pointed this out, he didn't offer to re-print with the correct information!) And to make it worse, no model numbers were mentioned anywhere in the quote. I told him to call back on Monday the next week, and it was Thursday that week before he called to follow up (three days later than I asked for) - who in their right mind would sign a quote with all the wrong information? Taking my business elsewhere.
These people are crooks. Plain and simple. They have the typical scheme of lying to you about what is wrong with your furnace to up-sell you on a new heat exchanger or entire new furnace. We came home to a cold house on a 5 degree day and made the mistake of calling Williams. Tech that came out had zero communication skills and would avoid and dance around direct questions about what was actually wrong. After looking at the unit for about ten min, he came in and said the heat exchanger was cracked, unsafe, and leaking carbon monoxide and deemed it unsafe. He said it needed replaced at a cost of $2200. But he stated that the entire furnace really should be replaced at a cost of $5000-7000. After asking if there was anything he could do to get it operating temporarily, he literally said nothing and went back to the garage. 5 min later heat was coming out of the registers. He came in and said the pressure switch is also bad and he put a jumper on it to get it working. But said entire system is unsafe.
I called a trusted HVAC friend to come out a couple days later to get the real story. Yes, the pressure switch needed replaced. But, the heat exchanger was in perfect condition with no cracks!!!
Highly recommend staying away from Williams Comfort Air. Crooks.
Top 5 scammers (dead or alive). I spent 5K on a new unit put in by a different company. A year later I thought it would be easier to have Williams Comfort come out and do a general cleaning and check up. So what do they tell me...I NEED A BRAND NEW UNIT!!!
According to Williams it was installed incorrectly, had mismatch units (heat pump), and couldn't be balanced. They hit me with the good cop bad cop thing. The young buy was blunt and rude. The old guy apologizes for his unprofessionalism while handing me the brochure for a new 7K unit.
So call the original company and they came out and flipped 2 dip switches since it was a variable speed unit. All was fine and I had it inspected by another party.

We thought our a/c was broken so we called William's Comfort Air since we had one of those coupons that come in the mail. In less than 30 minutes we had a very friendly and knowledgeable service person at our door who tested our a/c and answered all my questions. Fortunately, it was just Duke Energy powering down our system due to high demand. I'd call these guys again.
I have had a poor experience with this company. I had an appointment, waited all afternoon because they would not scheduled a time, even called ahead during the day to ensure they were still coming out, which the rep assurred me someone would be out in the evening. Well around 7:00pm, they called and said sorry we cant come today (Thursday) but we can come Monday, four days later. I am pissed. I could see the next day, but your telling me that you miscalculated by 4 days! I call BS, no ammends, no trying to make it right, just a nonchallant Sorry. I will never use or recommend Williams Comfor Air to anyone. How unprofessional!

Called them because my AC wasn't working. I was quoted over $800 to rebuild the part that connects the furnace to the air ducts. The repair person didn't even turn on my AC because he said it wasn't warm enough outside. I had to pay the fee for the repairman to come out, but I rebuilt the air ducts myself. Of course the airflow wasn't really the problem. So I researched the issue on the internet, and found out that the problem was low freon. A second repairman came out, and after a big hassle, he filled the freon. That fixed it. I asked to be refunded for the initial repairman's visit (since he was completely incompetent, and didn't even turn on my AC to try and find the problem). Williams did a review, and refused to pay back the repair fee because I didn't follow the repairman's recommendation.
So, they wanted to charge me $800 for a repair that would not have worked. Then refused to refund the service call when it was not only proven it wouldn't work, but the real problem would have been found if he actually had tested my system.
Got a new furnace with this company about an year ago, right from the start they were trying to sell me there protection plans, tune up plans etc. Once they have their money you are no longer their most valued customer. I am still fighting with them about the correct size of my filters that they have messed up twice. Now they are pretty much forcing me for a tune up to get my filters. They are the worst if I could I would snatch this damn furnace out and lay it on their front step and sue them. I would not recommend them at all you better off going with the neighborhood man.
DO NOT TRUST THESE GUYS! We needed a new a new uv bulb for our Honeywell air system. We were quoted $750 to replace it. I did some research and found it on Amazon for $40 delivered. We called them to complain and the guy said he screwed up and it was really only $240. It took two minutes to replace it after it arrived. They are no longer allowed in our house.
I called Williams comfort air to come out and look at our HVAC system after it started leaking at the main unit inside the house. We called Williams because they are a Bryant dealer and our dealer went out of business. Our unit for the record is only 3 years old and still under warranty from Bryant. Williams sent a tech out and he said it was dirty coils and did a service, that was 157.00. Then 3 days later unit starting leaking again, they sent out another tech, that told us whoever installed the unit never pulled the drain plug, That cost us another 125.00. 5 days later same problem, called them again tech refused to fix the problem unless they charged us again. We refused, because they have never fixed the original issue. They contend, since it stopped for a couple of days...they did fix it???? Really?????
When confronting the service manager about the issue; I asked if their techs are on commission, he wouldn't answer the question. That's all I needed to know. I will never use Williams Comfort Air again. They don't care about fixing problems, it all about money.

Unbelievably bad service! I am appalled at how lousy this business is ran. THREE cancelled appointments! At best inept, but more likely lying about the price of service; offering us a deal for $53 to make up for the cancellations, when that is the price I was first quoted.

Williams Comfort Air quoted me $1178 to fix the inducer on my furnace. They did not have the right part available and told me they would take old parts out and use them to make it work, for the same price. Luckily, I had another contractor come and look at it because I had a home warranty. He charged the warranty company $220 for the repair and did it quickly. Be wary of Williams Comfort Air.
I just contacted Williams Comfort Air to schedule a service appointment for my air conditioner due to a lack of cooling. The earliest appointment available is 4 days from today! This is unacceptable! I called Summer's Air in Noblesville and they are on their way!
Williams tech was friendly and 'seemed' to be knowledgeable, but recommended $2300 repair for a $50 fix (got a 2nd opinion and THAT tech knew what he was doing).
Williams comfort air came out to clean our ducts and remove an old humidifier. They ended up puncturing an air conditioning coil liner his past winter. They were scheduled to come out to fix it but the day of the technician said it was raining so they couldn't do it and would call to reschedule. They never called back so I had to call them again. Two weeks later they came out. Bruce, the technician informed me that the other technician didn't want to do the work so he made the excuse up about the rain. When Bruce looked at our unit, he said the compressor was shot and we needed a whole new air conditioning unit. We asked about replacing the part, but Bruce informed us Bryant no longer made the part. Since our unit was working just fine before they punctured the line, we were very suspicious of his motives. We ended up calling Action air and they had our air working just fine in 15 mins. All that needed to be done was open the valves to the unit. We have called several times to talk to the manager with never a return call. . Thank goodness we weren't taken by the company! We will NEVER use them again! They would get a 0 stars from me if I could rate that low.
