In January 2017 I called these guys to inspect my sewer main line and get an estimate on repairs. The camera inspection price was kind of high but went along with it. They got the estimate really quickly and Jason called me after the initial appointment to go through it. He was extremely helpful and explained everything in detail.
Fast forward to today. I scheduled them to replace my sewer main and do pipe cleaning a week ago. Jason honored the original estimate.
The day before the job I called to confirm their arrival time. Jason said they will arrive between 830-9. The morning of the job he called at 8:17 saying that they will be late due to a previous job that had issues and ran over schedule. He said that they will now arrive at 10:30. My wife called them at 9:45 telling them to call if there were any other problems or if they will be running late. It was 10:30 with no one in sight and nobody called.
I called around 12:00 and spoke to Jason. He was really apologetic and was sorry for the other job taking so long due to issues coming up. I asked for an ETA and he said he will talk to his guys and get back to me right away. 45 minutes later he calls and said that the guys will be at my house at 2 since they have to go to the shop and pick up equipment.
2:00 came and still no one showed up. I called again but this time to cancel. At this point I was tired of waiting. Almost an entire day went by without them coming. They didn't have the consideration to call when they are late and simply just didn't show up.
I spoke to Betty and she was also apologetic about the situation. They kept mentioning that they were swamped due to the other job which is fine but please have the consideration to keep waiting customers informed. So I told her that I will be canceling the job.
A few minutes later Jason called and asked if I wanted to push the job to tomorrow. However, I already made up my mind and said I'm going to put this off for now. When speaking to to him this time he was less apologetic and more worried about losing the job. Before we hung up the last thing he said was please keep in consideration that I honored the estimate issued in January. Sounds like next time they might increase the prices.
I was ok when they missed the 10:30 time slot and gave them the benefit of the doubt that they are busy and things are crazy. It wasn't ok when they missed it again at 2 pm again without calling to keep me informed.

I needed to replace a stuck kitchen sink shut off valve identified in an inspection of high risk components for my condo's insurance policy. First Class Plumbing responded with a very reasonable quote almost immediately. When I asked to schedule the repair, the plumber, Whit, called me right away and set a time. He kept in touch by phone and text and alerted me when he was about to arrive. The repair turned out to be more complicated than I had thought, but Whit was more than able to handle the problems. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. He charged me a very fair price for the additional work. He also sent me an invoice by email so I could forward proof of work to my condo. I was able to pay online through a link on the email. Highly recommended.

Nothing like finding out on a Sunday night that your toilet's been leaking from a pipe all day and your bathroom floor & rug are soaking wet!
I found this company here through yelp. I sent them a message about the leaking toilet close to midnight on Sunday night, and they responded first thing Monday morning. I gave them a call Monday morning, and they were able to give me a time estimate of noon to 3 PM. I liked that they were able to schedule me the same day I called, especially since this is the only day this week I would be able to be home for that kind of time frame. Nate arrived right around 2:30 PM. I appreciate that he called before he left Kapolei, to give a heads up, rather than some companies/service people who just call when they're outside without giving any sort of advance notice.
He was able to replace some parts in under an hour, and thankfully the toilet is no longer leaking. It came out to $118 for everything (parts, labor, + tax). That was right around what they quoted me over the phone, so that wasn't a huge surprise. Thankfully it was an easy fix and not a bigger problem. I liked that they offer a 30 day warranty in case something goes wrong, which gives a bit of peace of mind that they stand behind their work (although I really hope nothing else goes wrong).
I hope not to have to need plumbing services again, BUT if I do need to call a plumber I will definitely use them again! Very professional and arrived within the time frame promised.

I live in a building almost as old as me. Like me, parts of my unit are wearing out and malfunctioning. That was the story with the tub faucet. The original equipment was about 60 years old and the hot water went from a drip to a constant stream, with the heat creating stains and mold.
I asked the office who did a lot of work at our complex and the said Pono at MG Plumbing. It didn't take too long to get an appointment. The shower head was a mess too, so I asked Pono about a new shower head with a hose, which would make it easier for me. He said I could buy one, or he would. I asked him to get one for me. I have a mobility disability, so it's hard for me to shop in person. I looked at many options online, but ultimately I figured he would know best how to proceed.
He was on time and selected a moderately priced Kohler shower head. It attaches via a magnet, making it easier for me to detach and reattach. That's helpful for me not just because of the disability but also because I'm so short.
He finished the work quickly and even put up the new plastic liner and just-washed fabric curtain. Just taking down the nasty dirty moldy plastic liner and the fabric curtain which desperately needing washing was quite a struggle for me, so I was very grateful when he did the work for me when I asked.
He also prepared me for what would eventually come after this, once this fix wore out. (Let's just say I'd better start saving lots of money.)
Once the hot water stream was fixed, I was able to scrub the tub and bleach the mold away in bits and pieces over a couple of weeks, as my body allowed. Now the tub looks pretty darned good. Hopefully I look that good, too, as we both continue to age.

I came home from the gym and couldn't wait to jump in the shower only to find it filled with stinky water with all sort of gross stuff floating around in my tub.
I tried DIY by using Drano, the old baking soda and vinegar trick, plunging and even snaking the pipe with no luck. Then I jumped on the iPad and searched for a plumber and of course no one is answering their phones on a Saturday at 4:00PM. I read a bunch of reviews and there seems to be a not so positive attitude toward plumbers due to their plumber's crack or the expensive bill you know you're going to receive. I found Fast Rooter Plumbing and someone actually answer the phone. I told them I realized it's almost 5PM and you guys will probably come out on Sunday and in my head thinking they're charge me the over the top Sunday rates. Nope! Mike said he'll have his staff call me back in 2 minutes. Sure enough, Matt called me right back and said he's on his way. He's on his way?! Is this a dream? Are you kidding me?!
Matt was absolutely professional, took off his shoes and went to work right away. He wind up having to use a kinetic ram which uses about 4700 feet per second of shock wave to push whatever is clogging your pipes. He told me the snake or Drano are useless in condos since we share pipes with our neighbor's units. He places my super white towels and bathroom rug to another room so they wouldn't get dirty too! Wow, how nice was that?! When he was all done, he even offered to clean the tub. He's was done in less than 1/2 hour and charged $141.36. That's dirt cheap compare to what I've read on Yelp about what other plumbers were charging.
Matt even wind up helping me tighten up my kitchen's faucet for no charge. It would have cost me time to run to Home Depot and rent this odd looking tool and crawl underneath the kitchen sink to fix my shifting faucet.
If you need a plumber for your condo, especially if you know your pipes are shared with your neighbor's unit you have to contact Fast Rooter Plumbing! They're located in Kaimuki however they came into town to help me.
I absolutely urge you to call them first.
Thank you Fast Rooter Plumbing! You saved the day!

Great person to work with. Did all coordination and estimates through Yelp since I am overseas and he was also the only person on Yelp to reply to me. Repaired my damaged dry wall to a new look. Would work with him again.

The foreman was very nice and understanding regarding safely going to eat breakfast near the job site and crane . It was fascinating to watch their crew work. I don't live where they worked but park there. Wanted to commend them on a dangerous job well done.

Very happy with Jaren. He replaced my bathtub fittings (faucets, valves, shower head, etc). Part of the problem plumbers have is to go to a home and give an estimate. Well, unless he can disassemble all the problem fittings, he can't be sure of the manufacturer or the extent of any leaks. Some companies will send two guys who the customer has to account for in the estimate. Jaren handled everything himself including getting the right parts. All for a price lower than my estimate.

We've used Drain Daddy several times now. On one occasion they came in to unclog a drain. Two months later the drain clogged up again. They came back unclogged the drain without charge. Their word is good... good workmanship, reliable, and cost competitive.

We met Joey a year ago when we first moved here.
Thank God we did because he has done virtually everything that needed fixing and upkeep in our home. Painting, building, fence installation, new stairs, added a french drain, electrical and everything in between.
When he painted our deck he suggested that we use paint that had sand in it so it wouldn't be slippery for my kapuna mother. We really appreciated that,
and would have never thought of that on our own!
We had a flood in our garage and Joey came up and loaned us his big fans and suggested a French drain around the garage. After he installed it our garage never flooded again. He helped us move into a new place a year later, he built us a shed for storage before we arrived at the new house so we had a place to store everything as well as installing our fences and gates so that our dogs would always be safe. when my mother ended up in the hospital during our move Joey and his guys came after hours and finished unpacking her room and hanging her art so that it would be nice for her when she came home.
also we had a fine art piece that had to be dismantled and reinstalled at our new location there is literally nobody else we would trust than Joey and Evan.
Joey and his team actually care about the work that they do. they have consistently done excellent work for us. they are very fair with the pricing as well. He has a team of plumbers, electricians, and builders, which makes it
easy to do one stop shopping. They do everything!
It is so great to know that we have somebody that we can count on not only to do good work but to show up on time, and get jobs done and done right. These guys have worked outdoors in the rain to get things done for us in a timely manner:)
When the guys were painting our deck we had to do some color matching for an extra spot. When the color didn't match properly Joey insisted on repainting the entire deck so that it would be perfect ( for no extra charge) because he cared about us having it done correctly.
Thank you so much to five star they really do deserve the name!
