We hired him to repair and paint our mailbox stand. The wood was rotten and it was falling apart. They rebuilt the mailbox stand, replacing the rotten wood and sealed everything and then painted it. They were professional and did an amazing job. I could not be happier with the results!

I called BLS Carpentry yesterday to fix our garage door frame and siding that my husband damaged when he backed out of the garage.  Ben came to my house and gave me a quote within the hour.  He would've started right away on the repairs but I had to leave for a few hours so he was off to buy supplies and returned a few hours later and completed the repair that afternoon.  It looks brand new again!  He was very professional, prompt and clean with his work space.  His pricing was very fair and I would recommend him to anyone needing any kind of handyman work.

I called to ask if he could come and take a look at my door and he was asking me questions about it like I was a handyman and as if I would know how to answer them. Then I asked if he could take a look at it as it would be better if he can  see how to fix it and he said he charges to come to waipio??? doesn't he service Ewa beach and the surrounding area? isn't waipio the next exit?? I just didn't feel like he wanted to help or took the time...maybe he's so busy with his 5 stars and all but I wouldn't hire him if he can't even get here without charging.

We needed an exterior door frame replaced due to water damage.  Ben showed up on time for the service we requested.  He was extremely thorough and professional at all times and we were extremely pleased with the service he provided.  Highly recommended.  Thank you Ben!

Ben just finished re-stringing my wood blinds and re-hanging the art ledge.  Fantastic work and great price.  I highly recommend him.

BLS Carpentry came out to do a drywall repair(4X4 hole). They were extremely quick and tidy. They repaired the hole in the drywall and textured. Very very good job and the price was extremely affordable. Will gladly have them do any work around the house again.

Ben's workmanship is excellent! I hired Ben to reset all of the footings on my home, in addition to, replacing all of the posts and braces, to include formwork with concrete below grade.  My home is situated on a slight slope and this was a fairly big project, but Ben completed it on time and his work is outstanding!  He even added an additional footing with post and braces to make my home even more secure, and did not charge for it.  Ben's pricing is also super reasonable.  He is very easy to work with,  trustworthy, and he more than met my expectations on this project.  This is the second home repair job that Ben did for me and I will definitely call him for all of my future  home repairs or remodelling projects.

Came exactly one time.  Gave a realistic estimate of the time required.  The workmanship was good and the price was fair.  What more do you want?

He built our redwood fence and did a great job! He showed up when he said he would and finished on time. We will totally call him up again in the future. Don't skimp and get a cheap contractor. Get one that knows his stuff and this guy does.

Hired Ben to install a mount in my ceiling.  Quoted 320.00 which seems high, but ceiling beam was 13 feet up.  Arrived on time, took about an hour.  Would give another star, but mount is little off centered and paint on 2 lag bolts rubbed off when he used a electric drill to tighten bolts.

I called in the morning to ask for a last minute AC removal. They were very understanding and were able to come out that night and remove the AC from the window without damaging the frame (previous tenants had glued it into the frame) and came back the next morning to install the new AC that I'd bought.

I didn't get the guy's name but he was very polite and worked pretty quickly. The cost was reasonable as he had to cut through layers of rubber cement to get the old AC out and install the new one.

I'd definitely recommend this company :)

I called Ben when I needed the bottom of my undersink cabinet in the kitchen replaced because it had warped from water damage.  I've had a few estimates done and Ben's price was pretty reasonable.  I decided to go with Ben because he had a pretty darn good review here on yelp, plus he also happened to be available to do it the same day.  He did a really nice job on replacing the particle board bottom of the undersink cabinet--he even cut out the pipe areas really nicely and fitted them back and caulked all the way around.  I was really happy when it was done because it looked like it was brand new (5 stars there)!  One problem:  Upon my final inspection of the job, I noticed two of the wood screws came protruding out the other side of the kitchen island!  When I pointed it out to Ben, he felt bad about it because he had thought there would be molding on the other side.  So, he spent Sunday going to Home Depot to find a matching maple molding, stain it the right shade to match my island and on Monday, Ben shows up with the molding and did a quick install/caulk.  He was apologetic of the situation and offered no additional cost for the molding and the labor.  

I took away a star because, overall, the job turned out a bit longer than I had anticipated . However, because Ben showed me that he will do the customer right in the end (plus, my kitchen island looks even better than it did before with the additional molding!), I maintain my 4-star rating for BLS Carpentry.

I had some work done by another company who  did not complete the work and did a poor job.  I had already paid them and they would not come back to complete the work.  When I talked to Ben he said he didn't like to come in after someone else to finish up their work but he would come out to look at things.  It took him half a morning to fix and complete everything from paver removal to plumbing job.  While I watched him work I realized he is an upright guy.  I made a list of all my dream projects and asked him to get back to me with estimates.  He can do everything!   Such a relief to finally find some one I can trust to be honest and do the work.

Ben is the best. He's worked on several homes of ours throughout the years. His work is great. He is very knowledgeable, pleasant and easy to work with. He can fix and do anything. Honest, hardworking and sincere.

You will not find a better person to work on your home. I will not let anyone other than Ben work on my homes.

I am always very happy and beyond satisfied with Ben's work.

BLS carpentry came to our house and successfully installed three A/C units, one In our room, one in the living room and one in the guest room. They cut all the fittings for the wood, then painted the wood to match color previously there. I must say the did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them for projects like this. Of all the companies we called to do this project BLS carpentry gave us the best estimate and best pricing.

I called all handymen here on this side of the island early this morning to have someone fix my garage wall that I reversed into, and no one answered or called back, only Ben replied and came to my residence quick and gave an extremely affordable price. I am satisfied with how quick and clean the results came out to. And I highly recommend BLS Carpentry!! Mahalo!

Ben was prompt and professional! Replaced two old and rotted entry doors .  He also disposed the old doors. Excellent workmanship.

What a gem of a find on Yelp!  I was in need of a handyman for several repairs to my home.  I emailed two but one was not taking new appointments till January.  Ben from BLS Carpentry & Handyman Services contacted me by email right away and scheduled the estimate.  After quoting me an estimate, he went in search of the materials he needed and called me back later that day to say that he had found the siding for my carport wall and could come the next day (Saturday) to do the job.  He and another guy worked on the three repairs and I was so excited with their workmanship!  The pictures show before and after.  Ben and his partner were very professional and cleaned up after the job was done.  Ben was also very courteous and contacted me when he was going to be a little late to the estimate appointment when his earlier project took additional time; and when he was at the hardware store picking up the supplies.  

I also need to give a shout out to Robert Baay Painting Services who did the painting after the repairs were done.  

I will definitely call Ben again for future work on my house!

We pay a handy sum to Ben have our bench done but only after 3 months, it started to deteriorate. We tried to contact him multiple times to see what can be done but got no response. BTW, he even posted photos of our bench on Yelp without our knowledge or consent. The bench show further sign of wear and damage at 6 months. It is now almost 12 months later and it has deteriorated further. We now have to pay additional fee to hire someone to repair this. We again tried to contact Ben to see if what can be done and again, no response.  Not recommend.

Among the more difficult things I've had to do is to prepare a condominium in Waipahu for sale. The condo needed serious attention and I live in California. What to do?

I called Ben Stewart at BLS Carpentry with my list of known repairs and upgrades needed. Ben responded quickly, gave me a preliminary estimate of the repairs on my list, informed me of other items I was not aware of and priced those as well. Less than month after he started when Ben was more than half way through the project I flew out to check on the job - impeccable professional work! Ben and I found another item or two that needed attention while I was out there and Ben priced those items and took care of them as well. The whole project was done in a very timely manner, quite helpful as I needed to get the unit on the market quickly.

What I appreciated most about Ben, besides his great work, keen attention to detail, and fair pricing, is that he didn't need to be told what to do every step of the way. Once he understood what I was looking for he was able to run with the ball, so helpful since I was remote from the project. I could trust Ben to do the job right so that I could turn this condo over to a new owner in a condition that I would have wanted to receive it. That is what I got. I am very grateful to have had Ben in my corner.

I called Ben to inquire about a door installation. I saw the great reviews on yelp so I was surprised at his attitude. He seemed very unfriendly and kept asking me questions about the door that I wasn't sure about. I ordered an entry door. I'm sure there are many variables but I felt like I was putting him out.
Then he started mentioning that the price will go up double what he quoted me if it didn't come with something. Overall I felt like he wasn't interested in my business. Very disappointing.

Great person to work with. Did all coordination and estimates through Yelp since I am overseas and he was also the only person on Yelp to reply to me. Repaired my damaged dry wall to a new look. Would work with him again.

Ben did a wonderful job of repairing our leaking kitchen sink pipe and replacing the water damaged cabinet floor board.  He was able to complete the repairs the same day I called for an estimate!  
Excellent customer service and I'll be sure to recommend him to my friends and family.  I'll most definitely call him if I need any other repairs.

BLS Carpentry put my children's playset together. They were quick to respond and professional. They even worked over the 4th of July weekend! It took two days to complete the playset, but it was well worth it. They also measured extra wood to place at the bottom of the playset to make sure it was even and stable. My girls couldn't wait to use it and were on the swing before BLS could clean up their tools!

I was quoted a price far below what I thought I would pay. However we do appreciate all the work done and paid more.

I would recommend them to anyone needing work around the house and I plan to use them again if I need to get something done.

Wife burnt the laminate countertop at the sinkbase of our rental. We are moving out and working hard to get our deposit back. With less than a week to turn over the property I was hard pressed to find a way to repair the countertop. I called several handyman services and most said the entire countertop needs to be replaced. I called BLS, described the damages, emailed photos, and was surprised when Ben said he was confident that he can repair it. He did say it may not be perfect. He quoted a fee over the phone. His bid was tremendously fair.
The next day Ben came to the property and worked on it for a few hours. Came back the following day and finished in about an hour and a half. The end result is truly impressive. The damaged area is hardly visible. You wouldn't know it even existed. Thanks Ben!

Called  BLS Carpentry for an estimate on some drywall repair in my home.  Ben came right away, he is a union carpenter in the trade for more than 20 years.  He gave me a great estimate and got started immediately.  I thought maybe the quality would be compromised with the great price he gave me, but nope!  The work was quality and he stayed on budget.  He even found a leak in my toilet that was causing a water stain on the other side of the wall that he fixed for less than what a plumber would have charged me.  I am super pleased with BLS and will be using them for all my future handyman needs!!

I recently had Ben do a bunch of much needed repairs and upgrades to my home, including installing barn doors on a couple of doorways, new vinyl plank flooring in both of my bathrooms, and some electrical work that was long overdue. Ben is very exacting and precise in his work, and the pride he takes in what he does is evident. You can trust him to get the job you need done right, with honesty and a fair price. He showed up on time and worked hard through the heat of the day nonstop. I wish I had found him sooner!

Honest company with quality work, something that is not so easy to find nowadays.  I've has a lot of no shows with other companies, so it was refreshing he showed up both days at the time promised.

Needed to get a small drywall area adjacent to the outside of the tub repaired from water damage. Ben was great, very professional, and friendly! His work was great, can't tell where the wall was damaged! Thanks again Ben!

I received a bill from the building management for cleaning up numerous condo windows after Ben's work. Ben did send me a check on 10/16/2017 to cover those expenses!

BLS carpentry helped me install a broken hallow wood interior bedroom door in my apartment complex and what a wonderful experience it was. The gentlemen was very friendly and told me everything he needed and the price range about that it would be about. He did not cause any issues and told me honestly everything that was wrong with the door and any adjustments he would have to make if necessary. This is the kind of service i enjoy getting and not being surprised! He was very helpful and I had found him searching for the best carpenters on the island. Would recommend to everyone!!!!
