I requested a bunch of quotes from plumbers  through Yelp late last night and received a prompt response from Walter with a very reasonable and fair quote.

Discount Drain Cleaning was able to replace my broken garbage disposal the next morning and even found another rusted-thru pipe while doing their due diligence. Glad they went above and beyond in their service so I didn't have to deal with further issues down the road

I had them come out because my whole house was backed up. Nothing was draining. Honestly I tried to call a bunch of other places but I was just getting a run around. They were super responsive explained everything that needed to get done. I just felt way better and secure with them than anyone else. Really friendly and professional, I am just really happy things are draining the way they are supposed to in my house! Thanks again guys!!

We had roots that split our drain pipe. We also had a separation from our main to the city street line.  Thankfully, Clark County Water Reclamation was responsible for that issue.  Their original markings were placed in 2015 but their crew never came back!  anyway,  after their repair and pipe replacement, I first called our home warranty folks. The crew was too limited and of course knew to get other estimates.  Had YES come out but had to have one more.  One of the CCWR folks suggested I call Drain Bear.  Jason and his crew were great.  Everything from start to finish was done well and also included the replacing our concrete driveway!!!  As for cost, for all they did, was definitely more involved for the basics only previously estimated by the other 2!

Active plumbing is quick and committed to your needs. I was extremely please to have them call me back right away, in this town it can be hard to get people to committ to a phone call and you can wait days for a return, but not with Active Plumbing!

What can I say about Angelica?  The best service I have had in years!!!!  She was informative and communicated what she saw.  She really new what she was doing and took the time to tell us all about our Air conditioning unit.  

Other companies we called wanted to charge $95 just for showing up?  WHAT??????  That will never make any sense to me.  

Being new to Nevada, we don't have the connections we used too.  We will always use Alaskan and would love to have Angelica back taking care of us.

This is by far one of the best companies we've worked with. Brandon came to our house and solved an issue for $220 that rotorooter was claiming would cost thousands. Not only did he resolve our bathtub issue with ease and kindness, he also showed us why rotorooter was wrong in their findings which was in my opinion laziness and greed. We will 100% be using this upstanding and honest company ALWAYS going forward!

I am updating my review to reflect the dedication of Troy, the owner of Thor Industries.  He at no fault of his own has been to my house and the distributor to get parts multiple times over the las four days. He would sometimes come over early in the morning or late in the evening to fit me into his already jam-packed schedule.  The problem was so intermittent if was almost impossible to fix the first time.
 
Of course the problem did not often present itself the multiple times Troy was at the house.  He was very patient and tried multiple things to get the unit working as it was during the middle of summer.  Troy told me from the start he would get it fixed and he did.  I am truly amazed by his level of commitment to solve my problem.  He could have easily taken advantage of situation and charged me for all types of things.  His pricing was very reasonable, especially considering how many trips he had to make.

I will MOST certainly use Thor Industries in the future for all of my HVAC requirements.  Thank you Troy!

Highly recommend this company! Small co., but quality workmanship. I had issues with my drain at my business. I scheduled appointment the very next day he was there to take a look for the problem which he resolved. MIchael D. was very polite and informative, he also is very reasonable to work out the best prices compared to other co. I'm glad I've chosen this co. Jerry was highly recommended to me. His customer service is excellent which is why I give him 2 stars and not 1. I had just bought a house and needed a number of things done.

Jerry recommended that I get a new water heater because he didn't like to just bring an old one up to code. I bought the water heater from him. He recommended that I buy new toilets (which I bought at Lowe's). There were many other things I needed done.

I spent more than double what I was planning on spending. But OK, no worries if the work is good. I'm happy to pay for excellent work.

Jerry had an apprentice with him who was doing a lot of the work. After they left my dishwasher wasn't draining properly. Literally water SPEWING ALL OVER THE SINK OUT OF THE AIR GAP! They came back. OPPPSS - the apprentice forgot to do something - sorry!  I am not upset because I feel that everybody makes mistakes, no worries - he fixed it - no harm done.

Well, maybe harm done. The next day the dishwasher leaks like crazy - soapy water all over kitchen floor. He comes back - Oh your seal is bad. So I get a new dishwasher (more $$$$). I wonder why the seal went out? Could it be the previous plumbing mistake? We'll never know, but I have my suspicions.

Then the caulk he used on the sink pulled off after 3 days. The brand new faucet they installed was crooked and sealed with caulk (which I learned should NOT be necessary with a BRAND NEW FAUCET). And, that caulk pulled off.

When I called again Jerry was willing to come back again for the third time, but now I have NO FAITH in their work, so I told him not to bother.

I hired another plumber to fix all the mistakes, who did so quickly, correctly and at a much lower cost. I haven't had a problem since.

Billy saved the day. I had water running down the street from a leak in my main. He came out on a Saturday with almost no notice and fixed it quickly and had the water in my house back on. Really appreciate the response .

I am 69 years old man.I am a veteran and I hate businesses that take advantage of the Veteran. My water company said I might have a leak because I used a lot of water last month I was recommend to call of duty and this gentleman name David said he was the owner and I believe it was his nephew Xavier came to my house and they said that they were going to charge me $1800 for a leak so I called my neighbor and he told me they were trying to rip me off not only ripped me off but they were smoking marijuana in my yard I was Purdy angry at the situation I told him to leave or I will call the police I don't recommend this company at ALL... customer service was the worst too they don't have patience for the elderly people they don't like to explain they just want to charge and get their money terrible terrible service

I had an awesome experience with this company.  Larry came by to fix the draining and plumbing issue I had in my nail salon.  He gave me a very fair estimate and even came early in the morning to fix before I opened my business hours.  Very honorable man and came when he said he would.   I would recommend Larry to anyone who ask.  Thanks again

A service technician (Shane) from Hawthorne PHC came out to the house at my request for a general inspection of my situation since I fired my previous company. I'm not certain I can say thank you enough in a review, but I'll try.  Shane inspected our A/C units, furnaces, and plumbing and then we sat and talked about his findings. Our prior company did the same a week earlier and said we needed some $10,000 in upgrades to our systems which are only 3 years old! Shane was more honest. We're in fine shape and our relatively new equipment is good just the way it is. The information Shane shared was eye-opening. I learned more about HVAC and my own system in an hour than I learned from my previous company in 3 years. I signed up for semi-annual maintenance visits and was told that since I am retired military, they would be free!  That's right. Hawthorne has a Heroes Program for military and first responders. But that's not even the best part of our visit. The best part is the knowledge and forthrightness displayed by Shane. He was here for some time and the service call was part of their Heroes Program. I am impressed. A week ago I was faced with a bill for $10,000 and today I am worry free now that I have Hawthorne on my side. I can't say thank you enough.

Rakeman was hired to run a camera down an old sewer line under house built in 1942 I had under contract to purchase in old Henderson.  The plumber with Rakeman was very knowledgeable, could easily determine where main sewer line was and the configuration of an addition including plumbing, probably built in the 70's.  The camera showed us the old cast iron 4 line under old, original house was cracked, had serious root growth inside and appeared to be collapsed.  That inexpensive inspection saved me many thousands of dollars of potential sewer main repair under house, including ripping up newly renovated floor to replace main line.

Find a different plumber. I won't let these con artists back into my house. If I could give them zero stars I would. Unprofessional, overpriced, low quality. I think that sums it up. These guys flat out lied to us when they sold us our hot water heater. We had a tank heater that dies on us. They sold us a tankless heater. They didn't tell us they were using us as test for a new system. The install looks like it was done by a bunch of morons. Lines routed like oragami. The unit was put on the wrong wall. The craftsmanship is horrible. They cut extra holes in the wall because the electrician was having a bad day. This unit was sold to us as maintenance free with a 12 year warranty.

The technicians also forgot to properly install the drain line so we ended up with water damage and had to replace drywall on our ceiling and wall in the room under the water heater. More savings. They charged us to come out and fix their incompetence.

Two years later we are getting cold water. We call and schedule a tech to have them come check it out. They were late for our appointment by several hours. Finally they reroute a different tech to us. When they finally get here they just call customer service for the heater. They charged us for the service call and for them calling customer service (apparently sitting on hold is considered diagnostic service.

Find someone else to work on your plumbing. We certainly won't be calling Butter again.
